Paul McCartney returned to the Saturday Night Live stage on May 16 in his first music guest spot in nearly 15 years.

Joined by Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums, the music legend performed a three-song set of both new and classic material.

The Beatles icon performed new track "Days We Left Behind" off his upcoming album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, which can be watched here. Set to drop May 29, the aforementioned album will also feature a duet with former bandmate Ringo Starr, entitled "Home to Us."

The Wings frontman then took things back, playing the band's 1973 hit single "Band on the Run." Watch it here. As the credits rolled, McCartney returned to the stage to perform "Coming Up," a rarity from his 1980 album, McCartney II. Watch it here.

The May 16 episode marks McCartney's first SNL music guest spot in 14 years, and his fifth time throughout the show's 51-season history.
