Megan Moroney shared a stunning clip of her “Beautiful Things” performance on her ongoing “Cloud 9 Tour.”

In a clip shared on TikTok, the powerhouse singer-songwriter, 28, sits in a windowsill like the one she opened to reveal her new album’s signature color in late 2025, surrounded by pink flowers. Moroney is ascended above the arena audience with phone lights illuminating the venue. She strums her rhinestone guitar as she sings: “'Cause fires burn up canyons/ A hurricane can wreck a beach/ Come on pretty mockingbird, I wanna hear you sing/ Lies can break a fragile heart/ And doubt can crush your dreams/ But, honey, just take it from me/ Just hold on, just breathe/ The world is hard on beautiful things/ That shine, it's gonna be alright/ You're gonna be alright”

Moroney wrote “Beautiful Things” with Connie Harrington, Jessie Jo Dillon and Jessi Alexander. She delivered the debut live performance on her headlining tour last fall, and shared the sweet inspiration behind it.

“It’s a song that I wrote for my niece, actually,” Moroney said at the time. “And when she was born, I remember just looking at her and being like, ‘she’s so perfect, and I just never want anything sad to happen to her.’ Or, you know, inevitably, one day she’s gonna get older and maybe someone won’t invite her to a party, and inevitably she’s gonna get her heart broken one day. And I literally, in ‘crazy auntie mode,’ was like, ‘I’ve gotta write her a song so that she never has a bad day, so that she can always listen to this song.’

“And what’s really interesting is that in an interview last week, somebody asked me if I’ve ever written a song to myself. And I had to think about it, and I decided that out of all of my discography, I think if I had to pick a song that I would write to myself, this would also be it,” Moroney continued during the show last fall. She explained, “because I was the girl that, you know, in middle school, I didn’t get invited to the party. And when I got a little bit older, I couldn’t make the guy love me and stay with me. And I just wish I had a song that said exactly this, and so, I think that’s part of the reason why I wrote it for my niece. And I think this song is just a great reminder that we’re all going through something, so just be nice to each other.”

“Beautiful Things” appeared on Cloud 9, Moroney’s highly-anticipated third studio record that arrived earlier this year. The album also includes the title track, “Stupid,” “Beautiful Things,” “Liars & Tigers & Bears,” “Wish I Didn’t,” collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves, two bonus tracks (“Sorry…I Meant Tonight” and “Traitor (Roles Reversed)”), and more. “I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,” Moroney said in a statement when she announced her third studio record late last year. “Similar to the first two albums [2023’s Lucky and 2024’s Am I Okay?], it’s all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”
