Katy Perry 'Wrestling With My Darkness' In Upcoming Single 'Watch it Burn'

Katy Perry is ready to burn it all down.

Perry is unleashing her pent-up rage and frustration in her upcoming single "Watch It Burn," which is expected to drop later this month. The 143 singer will open up more about the new track during an appearance on Wednesday's (June 17) episode of the Unfamous podcast, as evidenced by a new teaser where she explained how the song sees her "wrestling with my darkness."

"Last year was pretty tough. I have not given myself permission to be angry my whole life over things where I should be f---ing angry about," she said. "What I've done is I've pushed it down, but I should be f---ing angry. I'm allowed to be angry for a f---ing moment! So instead of falling into 'woe is me,' I just was like... let's feel this pain, let's feel this anger and let's move on. And let's learn from it also."
