RaeLynn shared a stunning rendition of Morgan Wallen’s newest ballad.
“This song,” she wrote in a caption on Instagram on Sunday (July 26). “[Morgan Wallen] did it again.” RaeLynn, 32, played the piano as she covered Wallen’s “Been By Now,” and commenters gushed over her performance. Some Instagram users wrote that “this gave me chills,” it’s a “hauntingly beautiful version,” “we neeeed this as a duet,” and more.
“If it was meant to be, we'd have been by now/ We wouldn't have to keep tryna work things out/ Yeah, baby, we're a breeze when the lights go down/ It wouldn't be so hard when we ain't in the dark/ If we were in the stars, they'd have lined right up/ Yeah, maybe from the start, we've been tryin' too much/ I know you wanna think that it's what we found/ But if it was meant to be, we'd have been by now/ Been by now”
Wallen released “Been By Now” on Friday (July 24). It was written with Charlie Handsome, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass, Rocky Block and Taylor Phillips, and produced by Joey Moi. “Been By Now” “continues Wallen's unmatched ability to blend deeply personal storytelling with undeniable melodies, giving fans another standout addition to his ever-growing catalog,” states a previously-issued press release. Wallen released the song in time to wrap up his “Still The Problem Tour” with two more performances at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
