Jason Aldean Video Featuring Hayden Panettiere Resurfaces After Her Death

Hayden Panettiere made a cameo in a star-studded Jason Aldean music video more than a decade ago.

Following Panettiere’s tragic death at 36, fans are rewatching Aldean’s video for “1994,” a hit single with a nod to Oklahoma-born country artist Joe Diffie. Barry Dean, Luke Laird and Thomas Rhett teamed up to write the anthem, which appeared on Aldean’s 2012 record, Night Train. 

Panettiere appeared in the video, which also included appearances by Rhett, Lady A, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen and other country artists. Panettiere had recently started playing country-pop hitmaker Juliette Barnes on the TV musical drama Nashville. The show followed “the lives and tragedies of rising and fading country music stars in Nashville, Tennessee,” reads its description on IMDb. The series premiered in 2012 and ran until 2018.

Juliette Barnes became one of Panettiere’s most well-known roles, along with Heroes, I Love You, Beth Cooper, Remember the Titans, Scream 4 and other projects throughout her career. Panettiere was born on August 21, 1989 in Palisades, New York. She died on Sunday (August 16) in Greenville, South Carolina. Panettiere’s friends and co-stars have since shared emotional tributes to the late actress as they expressed heartbreak over her loss.
