09-04-26 FULL SHOW - Barb On The Ballot

On today's show, we're talking about the future of government and how you can get involved. Our guest, Kathleen Chandler, joins us to discuss her new initiative, Find Your Seat, which aims to make it easier for people to find and apply for boards and commissions in their community. But before we dive into that, our host, Mandy Connell, shares her thoughts on the recent verdict in a high-profile murder case and how it relates to the value of motherhood and the importance of holding men accountable for their actions.

In this episode, we also discuss the upcoming ballot initiatives in Colorado, including Proposition NN, which would allow the state to retain and spend additional revenue for education and other purposes. Our guest, Barb Kirkmeyer, explains the complexities of this proposal and how it would impact taxpayers. We also hear from a listener who shares their concerns about the mill levy override in Douglas County and how it relates to property taxes.

But the conversation doesn't stop there. We also talk about the importance of parenting and how we're failing our kids by not teaching them basic values like kindness and respect. And, of course, we have our usual dose of dad jokes and trivia.
