Billy Corgan says he's not opposed to teaming up with Miley Cyrus to write a song.  The Smashing Pumpkins frontman recently told a French radio station that he was approached about collaborating with Cyrus. But he says he turned it down because they wanted him to write a bunch of songs for the pop star to choose from.

And while he says he doesn't work that way, Corgan says he'd be up for writing a song with Miley because he thinks she's talented and the project would be "a cool thing to explore."

In the meantime, Corgan is making the rounds promoting the latest Smashing Pumpkins album, Monuments to an Elegy. He's also hard at work on the follow-up, which is due out later this year.
