Gwyneth Paltrow considers her estranged husband Chris Martin, which whom she has two children, "like my brother." The actress also says he sleeps at her home a lot, and she crashes at his Malibu house, too, though they "don’t have a romantic relationship."
The actress, who consciously uncoupled with Martin in March 2014 after being married for 10 years, and only filed for divorce in April 2015, noting she and the Coldplay frontman "spend a lot of time together." Paltrow tells Glamour, for example, that after Martin had been away promoting the band’s album, A Head Full of Dreams, “He got in at midnight and slept here so he could surprise the kids in the morning, we could all have breakfast, and he could take them to school.”
She goes on, “We’re not living together, but he’s more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa: I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids. We’ll have a weekend all together; holidays, we’re together.” Paltrow adds, “We’re still very much a family, even though we don’t have a romantic relationship. He’s like my brother.”
Paltrow also says Martin’s a “great ex-husband.” She explains their conscious uncoupling works because he’s a “very, very willing partner,” and they’re “constantly putting aside our own stuff.”
As for whether she’s willing to get married again, Paltrow, who’s dating TV producer Brad Falchuk, says, “I believe in marriage,” but points out, “I’m not even divorced yet!”
