Jail time does not appear to be in Keyshia Cole's immediate future. TMZ.com says prosecutors are declining to bring her battery case to trial.
A source from the Los Angeles County City Attorney's Office says they've instead decided to have the singer and her alleged victim attend an informal hearing, where they'll each present their side of the story. Cole is expected to be warned against creating any future disturbances. She might also be ordered to enter an anger management program.
Cole's case stems from an incident last month at the home of her rumored boyfriend, Cash Money CEO Birdman. She reportedly paid Birdman an early morning visit, and allegedly attacked a woman she saw there with him. The singer was arrested on a battery charge, and later released on bail.
