President Obama is in Oregon to meet with the families of victims of last week's deadly mass shooting in Roseburg. The President is expected to meet privately with the families and is not scheduled to make any public remarks. Some pro-gun activists gathered in Roseburg to protest the President's visit.

After the latest mass shooting, Obama made an impassioned plea for new gun safety regulations. Nine people were killed by a gunman at a community college and several others were injured. The gunman committed suicide during a shootout with police.
