A group of passengers is saying they were kicked off a Spirit Airlines flight at LAX because they were black. One of the booted travelers says the altercation occurred when a flight attendant accused one of their six-person group of being a threat following an argument over seating arrangements.
The incident started when flight attendants asked a man and his girlfriend to leave the plane because the airline had double-booked the seats. The two were offered tickets on another flight, but the man become unruly.
Police were then called to escort the passengers off the plane. After the flight landed in Dallas, witnesses from the plane say the banned passengers were causing a disturbance.
