Meet Victoria's Secret's latest superstar - who went from working at a small town pharmacy in Brazil to starring in the brand's iconic Christmas fashion show in just 3 years. Following in the footsteps of fellow 'angels' Cara Delevigne, Gisele Bundchen and Miranda Kerr, stunning brunette Daniela Braga was on the runway in London for last week's show and is tipped to become the lingerie house's newest global name.
At age 22, she has already modelled for the likes of Dior, Balmain and Givenchy.
And amazingly the 5ft11in Latin beauty only took part in her first shoot three years ago, after she was spotted working at the cashier of a pharmacy in a little known town in the state of Sao Paulo. Up until then, she was working for minimum wage and studying at college. Her height, slim figure and facial features always caught the eye and she was used to turning down invitations for modeling gigs.
"I had a collection of cards from agencies," she told a Brazilian website. "One day I finally decided to call one of them and try it. But I could never imagine my life would change like this." She was signed up by Elo Management and within six months Daniela was already based in New York and doing catwalk modelling exclusively with Givenchy. Her meteoric rise saw her work with a string of top luxury houses, gracing various magazine covers before landing a coveted spot as one of VS's angels.
