President Obama, members of Congress and international leaders are gathered at the National Prayer Breakfast this morning.  House Speaker Paul Ryan was one of the first keynote speakers and told the audience that prayer is a part of our national heritage.

He noted that our rights come from God and the job of lawmakers is to protect those rights.  Over 3500 people are attending the breakfast held at a downtown Washington, DC hotel.  Dwight Eisenhower was the first President to speak at the prayer breakfast, which has been held annually since 1953.
