The Kansas City Royals have evened up the World Series at one game apiece after a 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants in Game Two at Kauffman Stadium. Billy Butler singled in the go-ahead run during a five-run sixth inning for KC. Salvador Perez added a two-run double and Omar Infante followed with a two-run homer to blow the game open. Kelvin Herrera picked up the win in relief of rookie Yordano Ventura, who tossed five-and-a-third innings of two-run ball.
Gregor Blanco hit a solo homer to lead off the game and Brandon Belt doubled in the other run in the fourth for the Giants, who won Game One 7-1 on Tuesday. Jake Peavy gave up four runs in five-plus frames to suffer the loss. The series shifts to San Francisco for the next three games starting with Game Three on Friday at AT&T Park.
