The Kansas City Royals are World Series champions for the first time in 30 years.  Christian Colon's go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 12th helped give the Royals a 7-2 win over the Mets in Game Five in New York.  Lorenzo Cain laced a three-run double in the 12th for the Royals, who scored twice in the ninth inning to tie the game.  It's Kansas City's first World Series title since 1985.

The city of Kansas City is wasting no time in celebrating their first World Series in three decades.  City officials released a video last night inviting fans to join the party tomorrow afternoon.  Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders was joined by Kansas City Mayor Sly James in the announcement video.  The parade will stretch over two miles throughout downtown.
