(NEWSER) – A Pennsylvania state trooper was killed and another wounded in ambush attack outside their barracks last night, authorities say.

A "person of interest" is being questioned, but no charges have been filed against the man identified as Jeffrey Hudak, reports the Times-Tribune of Scranton. The troopers were shot outside their barracks in Blooming Grove shortly before 11pm during a shift change, reports AP. One trooper was heading into work and another was leaving. Neither has been identified. The wounded trooper is in stable condition after surgery.
