(NEWSER) – A Pennsylvania state trooper injured in an ambush that killed another trooper outside their barracks in the northeast of the state Friday night regained consciousness yesterday and investigators hope to speak to him soon, the AP reports.

No arrests have been made over the attack that killed Cpl. Bryon Dickson, a married father of two young sons, but a police spokesman says a large number of tips, some of them "fantastic," have been coming in. A "person of interest" who has been interviewed is not a suspect, police say.
