Dave Grohl proved he’s a rock star on Friday night after he fell off a stage in Gothenburg, Sweden, broke his right leg and then, after 15 minutes of being attended to by paramedics, returned and finished out the concert. See the videos below.
The Foo Fighters’ lead singer was performing the song “Monkey Wrench” when he took a spill off the stage. According to eyewitness reports, he was on the ground for a few minutes before being transported by paramedics backstage. While backstage, Grohl spoke to the audience via the Jumbotron and said, “I’m gonna go to hospital. I’m gonna fix my leg.” He then apologized and said, “I’m so sorry… but I think I just broke my leg.” Grohl announced that the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins would take over the singing responsibilities.
But 15 minutes later, Growl was carried back onto the stage and said, “I may not be able to walk or run, but I can still play guitar and scream.” He then launched into the song “Under Pressure.” After completing the show, with the help of crutches, Grohl hobbled off the stage.
