Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with LaVar, Brady Quinn and Jonas Knocks on Fox
Sports Radio. Now, I just want you to be aware
of this, Brady Quinn, because there's a lot going on.
We got college basketball heating up, you got conference tournament

(00:23):
play all over the place, you get games all day long.
It's just it's a great time of the year. You
got Saint Patty's Day right around the corner. I mean,
and I'm telling you right now, this is huge, huge
news for not only you, but for everybody listening. Yeah,
it's a football Friday too. Yeah, I'm really not sure

(00:45):
how Yeah can you believe it? Yeah? Yeah, touchdown, yes,
first down? Yeah, probably not. Yeah, it is a football Friday,
well kind of here on Fox Sports Radio. And it's
what we like to do here. We like to talk
a little football. We'd like to get after it when

(01:06):
it comes to the pigskin here on two pros and
a cup of Joe. And so let's just go ahead
and let's get started with the what the hell's taken
so long between Aaron Rodgers and the Jets and the
Packers to get this deal done? Feels like we're on
the verge. The betting odds have shifted dramatically. You've got
now the New York Jets as a minus one thousand

(01:27):
to land Aaron Rodgers via a trade from the Green
Bay Packers. So what do we think in timeline here?
Is he going to make the announcement on the Pat
McAfee show starring aj Hawk, your brother in law? How's
this singing to shake up with Aaron Rodgers? Yeah, they're
clearly trying to negotiate a couple of things. The trade compensation,
you know what that's going to look like as far

(01:48):
as players, draft picks, etc. And then the compensation of
his contract. You know who's paying for what and what
that's going to look like as the New York Jets
trying to absorb that in their sullery cap. Those are
essentially the two things I would assume they're going through
right now. And and the last thing that maybe the
Packers are being aware of this or Rogers is pushing

(02:10):
for this, but Green Bay probably should be trying to,
you know, come up with how they're going to sell
this to their fan base. You know, that's that's kind
of part of the spin on all this at the
end of the day is you've now gone on from
one Hall of Famer to drafting his replacement, to moving
on from that Hall of Famer, to now having another

(02:32):
Hall of Famer, and then drafting a guy who's going
to be his replacement and moving on from him. So
they've they've been through this story before. I think they
know how to tell the tale. The difference in this
one is I just I got to see it from
Jordan Love before I believe it. Um, it's been a
long time since he played a lot of football, and

(02:53):
significant football, and even good football. I mean, if you
go back to his last year Utah State wasn't very
good and it really was the year before he left
or decided to leave, that was his best football. So, um,
there's a lot of question marks surrounding this. That was
not the case obviously with Aaron Rodgers when he left
Cow he was playing at a really high level. I

(03:15):
believe it was only one of two quarterbacks draft of
that year, the first round, uh to go along or
maybe it was three, but I know it was Alex
Smith Rogers and I can't recall if there's another one
that year. But um, it's it's it's a. It's a
time when that's what they're negotiating. But I'm sure it's
somewhere someone's working on that talking point that that sell
to the fan base in Green Bay. By the way,

(03:37):
I think Ryan Fitzpatrick was also part of that draft class.
He was. He was not a first round pick, Yeah
he was. He was a little bit further back. The
other quarterback was Jason Campbell. There you go. I thought
it might have been Jason Campbell Washington. Yeah, one pick
after Aaron Rodgers. So yeah, yeah, interesting, interesting little first man.

(03:58):
Things have changed because in that in that first round
back in two thousand and five, obviously Alex Smith went one,
but you had Ronnie Brown go too. You had Cedric
Benson go three, the late Cedric Benson, and then you
had Cadillac Williams go five, or went went four, and
then Cadillac Williams went five. So you had three running
backs in the top five. Is that's never happening again? Never,

(04:21):
not the way the NFL is, you know, currently constructing
the way it helps out, particularly passing in no chance. Yeah,
you had and then your guy Brayley and Edwards went
number three to the Brownies. There be easy that's his name,
that's his nick n Yeah. I mean, but don't don't
do the whole thing where you think, No, I'm not
going to call him that. I don't know, ye, the

(04:41):
whole shot. Yeah, No, I wouldn't do that. I would
never do that. That's not me. I'd like to get
to know people first. You know. It's like a meat wagon.
I can call him the meat wagon because I got
to know him. You know, he force fed me a
shot of jamison at ten in the morning at a
golf tournament. So I felt like that that gave me
the right to be able to call him the meat wagon.
Oh update, by the way, he did finally get his
golf clubs. Really Spirit airlines, yeah, alright, which most people

(05:04):
would call that a hail mare. It can fly somewhere.
If you fly from somewhere on Sunday and it takes
you up until Thursday tree for your items, that's a miracle.
I would think in the airline industry. Someone tell me
on Twitter or let us know if that's not. But
it seems incredibly uncommon that it would take that many

(05:26):
days and that you would actually be able to find
whatever it is that you lost. Well at the Super
Bowl in Miami. Back in it was a twenty twenty
like whatever before COVID. When I lost my my carry on,
it was like all like dress shirts that I brought
on for sure of a week. Yeah, it was like
it was a garment bag. Yeah, I think they called
a garment bag. Whatever. It was a free carry on
you should have carried on, was that well. So I

(05:47):
brought the garment bag on and I needed a place
to put it, and they said, oh, you can just
store it up here in the front of the plane.
And it was a red eye, and so I just
left it. I cracked. I passed. I don't want to
say crash, it's a plane. I passed out, And when
I woke up, I just wanted to get to the
hotel and just get checked in because I knew traffic
was going to be a pain in the ass. And

(06:08):
it was the start of the week that I completely
forgot it. Here's what's left up about it. Though I
left the plane, I didn't get out like twenty steps
outside the walkway off the plane before I turned around
and said, oh, by the way, I just realized I
left one of my bags on there, a garment bag,
and like Oh, well, you're just gonna have to wait

(06:28):
because the plane's already being cleaned and we've got to
And so I had to wait around the airport and
I never was able to get it. They said you
can go check lost and found. I went back multiple
times that week and nobody ever returned it, and I
at every two weeks I hit up the airline, Hey
have you got in my bag? Got in my bag,
put a tracker together, never got it. So whatever a

(06:50):
hole that swiped my garment bag. I hope you tried
to do the same thing with the meat wagons golf
clubs because you got demoted to Spirit Airlines, and I
hope you got what you had coming to you and
you weren't able to get a thousand dollars worth of
golf clubs. As we get set for golf season when
things start to cool down a little bit, yeah, I
mean two things here. I don't feel bad for you

(07:10):
because that was your fault. That wasn't the airline's fault.
That you've left your garments my fault, all right. I'm
just saying like he had to check his golf clubs
so that there's there there could be some tomfoolery going
on there with you. You just left your garment back
there into anyone to snatch. Second, everyone knows it's a
it's a you know, it's it's a policy of the airports.
Once you walk up that jet bridge, you leave the plane,
you can't walk back on. So it's just it's part

(07:33):
of the security deal and all that. It's a little
and you'll fly enough to know these things. Yeah, well
that is true, And it's a little insulting that you
don't think that I have enough credibility to be able to,
you know, circumvent the rules and walk back up that
walkway to try and get my stuff. Are you telling
me I'm not so. Once you get out of the plane,
and as you're walking up that jet bridge, once you
kind of clear through like the opening doors into the airport,

(07:55):
you can't go back in the end of the airplane.
You just can't. Like it's literally a security policy. It's
airport policy. There's no one that let you do that.
If you're on the jet bridge, you can still find
your way to like go back in there. You just
unfortunately remember too late. And here's the other thing that
I will own up to because I'm all about accountability.
There's not a worst flyer in the history of planet

(08:18):
Earth in me. And I'm not talking about being scared
of flying, because I've never been scared of flying. Nobody
plans poorly for packing luggage than I do. I'm absolutely
the worst. I mean, taking stuff back, I just throw
it in a trash bag because I know I'm gonna
do laundry, and I just throw it in the suitcase
or whatever I'm taking and I'm gone. But nobody is

(08:40):
worse at packing a bag. And I feel insecure when
I'm around you because you have this whole little method
that you've put together. Brady can literally pack three days
worth of clothing and anything else he needs in like
a tiny little Duffel bag that would fit inside a
glove box in a car, just makes it work. And

(09:01):
I've got this giant bag that I still can't fit
everything in because I don't know how to pack properly.
And I call you out for that, because that's your
fault for not teaching me the right ways, because you
do travel, and you clown me when you see my
luggage that I bring on. So I don't clown you.
You just check a bag when it seems unnecessary, that's all.
I don't want to. I just don't know how to pack.
But well, you know he's gonna have to pack. It's probably.

(09:23):
Oh that's a great point. That is a great point.
And he's gonna have to get on a jet to
probably do it, and then he's gonna have to go
play for the Jets. How about that? Also, what the
hell are the packers going to look like? Without I
was thinking about this, and we're not trying to piss off,
you know, our our loyal listeners in Wisconsin right now.
We're on in Wisconsin right now. And uh, you know
the like the great Mike Heller, Steve Saban, all those guys.

(09:46):
They've been talking about this Aaron Rodgers stuff. I'm sure
at nauseum over the past several weeks. If he leaves,
what is this team going to look like moving forward?
Because law of averages would tell you the likelihood you're
gonna go from fifteen years of Hall of Fame quarterback
play to fifteen years of Hall of Fame quarterback play
to another fifteen years of Hall of Fame quarterback play

(10:09):
probably isn't the case. It's probably not happening, and it
makes me wonder if we could be on the verge
of seeing the Detroit Lions take control of the NFC
North for the next couple of years to come. What
do you think about Dan Campbell bite kneecaps and getting
into first place and winning that division moving forward. I
think that's one way of ticking off a bunch of
Green Bay Packers fans in the state of Wisconsin at

(10:31):
you know, our Friday morning. We could setting up their
weekend for a great little time. These franchises are at
two different points. I think Detroit feels like they're building something.
They've got a young roster, a good nucleus, surrounded by
a quarterback and Jared Goff who's got something to prove.
But I think the head coach has something to prove.

(10:53):
The entire coaching staff for that matter, a bunch of
former players. It's been fun to watch that group to
grow and get better. Where two years ago they were competitive,
and now this year we look at me and say, okay,
like in the end the NFC, you consider them a contender.
And I think the odds actually portray that story too.
With Green Bay, it's it's a state of transition. It's

(11:15):
a matter of you know, looking at what what is
this offense going to look like. I mean, it's been
quarterback driven, to your point, for three decades now. They've
had good running backs, but it's been quarterback driven. It's
been about Brett Farve, it's been about Aaron Rodgers. Everyone's
gonna be asking about Jordan Love. I don't know that
Matt Lafloor wants to make this offense be one in

(11:37):
which he has to constantly rely on the arm of
Jordan Love in today's game, which is a passing game.
You know, it's a passing league, So that's the tough parties.
I think they're gonna have to rely heavily on their backfield,
their running game, their defense as well, which is a
unit that, as we've talked about, like they've been built
to be able to stop the pass tremendous you know,

(11:58):
secondary players that can match up. They obviously have the
you know, edge rushers to be able to rush as well.
Can't stop the run. That's always been their achilles he.
I have no idea why. Maybe it's personnel, maybe it's scheme,
but it doesn't matter who it is. They've always been
had a hard time stopping the runs. So I'll be
curious to see, you know, what exactly the offensive philosophy
is moving forward, and if they're not going to turn

(12:20):
into one of these teams that relies heavily on trying
to see what they get out of their running backs
and were what they can get out of the running
backs moving forward, because that's what I would bet on.
I'm not sure they want to necessarily throw Jordan Love
out there in the fire, but but maybe you feel
good about your chances competing with the Vikings, who look
they've got their own issues on defense. They were awful
last year, and the Lions still are up and coming,

(12:42):
and the Bears are looking to be the worst team
still in that division. So maybe they still like their
shot of having Jordan Love, who sat watched and now
it's his time to go out there and ball out
looking to pull maybe a Geno Smith, you know, as
far as the type of year you can have and
surprise everyone, well, I do have a little bit of
something for you here. Got the odds, got the odds

(13:03):
on the NFC North moving forward when it comes to
twenty twenty three, and who is most likely, according to
the odds makers, to win that division with all the
other stuff happening with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, and
we decided, you know what, we want the most appropriate
game show music for Brady Quinn. Nothing that's going to
point out anything about his heritage. We would never do

(13:25):
that on this show. That's never the And again, I
don't know why we go down this road. Why can't
we just get some generic game show music. Why does
everything have to have an Irish flare to it? I
don't want to piss off the Italian side of your family,
and that seems to be growing more and more as
you find out via twenty three and me that you're
like eighty nine percent Italians straight from Sicily. But the

(13:47):
point is, we've got odds on the NFC North, So
can you guess the order of Finnish for the NFC
North according to the odds makers? And I will give
you the dollar amounts as to how heavy these favorites
are in comparison to each one of the other. All right,
I'm gonna say, based off this past season, the Vikings

(14:07):
and I think you know we're anticipating Rogers being traded.
So the Vikings won with thirteen games, they have to
be the favorite. Going in to this year to win
the division. Okay, you want to do the whole division.
You want me to tell you afterwards you want to go, well,
I'll do the whole one. I think Detroit's probably second
with this news based on the year they had Green
based third in Chicago is still less plas. Okay, little

(14:31):
dig there at the end, but that's fine. I don't care.
I mean, I'm not a Bearrass fan. Definitely not not me.
Here are the odds the Detroit Lions are the favorite
to win the NFC North, and in fact, the Detroit
Lions are kind of an overwhelming favorite to win the
NFC North. Slap in the face of the Viking. Yes,

(14:52):
and for if we're gonna piss off and just speak
truths here about what the status is of the Green
Bay Packer organization moving forward if Rodgers is traded to
the Jets. Not trying to piss off our friends listening
on the Yallahorn of the Twin Cities k fan, But
the Minnesota Vikings are a plus three hundred. You've also
got the Green Bay Packers in some places are a

(15:14):
plus three hundred, but in a lot of places are
about a plus three twenty three forty. The Bears, yes,
are dead last. In fact, if you bet the Bears
ten dollars wins you a UFO, so you can actually
get a UFO if they win the division there. That
is how that works for the Bears. But the Lions
are a plus one fifty, so they've got a double.
Their odds are double what the Minnesota Vikings are to

(15:37):
win that division, So the feeling is at plus one fifty.
That's the team that you look at and go most
likely after what happened last year with Jared goffin company.
They've also been there's been some speculation maybe Jalen Ramsey
could make some sense for the Detroit Lions, but you know,
who knows what the Rams are planning on trading anybody.
But nonetheless, you've got the Detroit Lions the overwhelming favorite

(15:59):
right now in the NFC North. Good for Dan Campbell
and the Detroit Lions, I mean, honestly, like that's a
team that not a lot of people believed in them.
They've obviously changed the minds a lot of people. Now
we'll see if they can own up to it. Be
sure to catch live editions of two pros and a
Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and Jonas
Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific on

(16:22):
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app. So it
is headline or Lie time. We've given out the number
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six six three six nine. Are we going
to dust off the intro as well too? We got
everything lined up a little all right, So let's take
it away. It is now time for the return of this.

(16:46):
Is it a headline or he's it a lie? Let's
go to the news des what God, no, Jos and
Brady Quara, Well, that's that's like something else that surprising.
They don't say we have range. You can get our ass.
There's plenty of range here on this yow. That's how

(17:08):
that's how the creativity works here. It is headliner Lie
here on Fox Sports Radio. So we're gonna pick our
callers again, a thousand phone lines all filled up. We're
gonna pick our callers and we will explain how this
game works for those of you playing the at home
version of this. So let's first go to Chris who's
in Minnesota listening on Fox Sports Radio. Chris, what's happening,

(17:30):
what's going on? How you Bo's up? Chris? Just hanging out, man,
Freddy Quinn Michigan States to Margen take comeback game? Loved it.
That's right, man. That was a windy, terrible weather game.
I think someone punched Charlie Weiss in the sideline. I'm
not exactly sure really on that game. Really yeah, yeah,
there was there was. There was a scuffle that broke

(17:53):
out on our sidelines, like I can't remember, someone got
thrown into him. And then I'm pretty sure John L.
Smith after the game was like slapping his face. I
have no idea what happened. Wow, that's something. All right,
So we got we got Chris and Minnesota, and let's
go to Mario. Who's listening in Rochester right now? Mario,
what's happening? What's going on? Guys? Good morning? What's up? Mario?

(18:14):
Hanging out? Man? Hey? What's what's the weather like? Were
you guys? Right? Let's start with Chris. How cold is
it right now? Minnesota? It's snowing. We're supposed to get
about another five to six inches and it's about thirty degrees.
That's awesome. Okay, that's a nice Minnesota day. What about you,
Mario's but yeah, it's about thirty degrees. It's not snowing,

(18:34):
although we did get snow. No, we have a little
weather advisory or later this afternoon, but nothing serious. I see,
all right, it's not too bad to be safe out there.
Be safe? Yeah, definitely, all right. So first and foremost,
you guys aren't drinking, are you? You haven't been licking
the lid a little bit here on a Friday morning? No, okay,
all right, just want to be clear. All right, So
let's start with Chris. Chris, you can team up with

(18:56):
either Brady Quinn or you can team up with me.
Who do you want to team up with? I gotta
go with Brady? Nore dame baby, Yeah, let's do it Chris.
All right? Ay, Mario, you want to team up with me? Man,
let's get this done. I have no choice, by the way, Mario,
m Yeah, it is true. You didn't really have a choice, Mario.

(19:19):
John Jones is from Rochester, isn't here? Yeah? That's right.
All right, we're gonna so this is our week. We're
gonna get this done here. Um all right, So here's
how it works. So Brady and I are going to
read our headline to the other guy's partner, and you
have to tell us whether or not it is a
headline or lie. It's very simple. You'll figure it out
if you're confused at all during the course of the game.

(19:41):
So we're gonna go back and forth, and if we
are tied at the end of this list, we have
got a tiebreaker question at the end. So if you
guys are ready to go, I can start with Chris Brady,
Quinn's partner in Minnesota. Chris, are you ready to go?
I'm ready to go? All right, do it? Here we go.
Headline or lie. A man led police a high speed
chase in LA on Thursday while sucking on a nitrous

(20:03):
oxide tank. I'm gonna say that is a lie. That
is a fact. I think Chris started sitting by the way.
That guy what a loser, literally sucking on the nitrous
oxide tank. What the cops have got guns drawn telling

(20:26):
him to get out of the car. Is that basically
doing whippets? Isn't that like the same thing? Right at
the back of the day, that was like a popular thing.
He had. He had the whole tank to himself and
he was just sucking away you know, it was really
really a fun watch. It's not gonna help you elude
the cops. But no, but I digress. All right, Mario,
here we go headline or Lie. A California man has

(20:48):
turned away from receiving his twelfth COVID booster, with medical
officials saying it's not necessary. I'm gonna say that's a lie.
A rise right, al they go, Mario, because they would
turn him away in California, right, No, absolutely not. In fact,
they would encourage it. I think you probably get like

(21:09):
free movie tickets if you're on your twelve. That's how
it works out here. All right, So let's go back
to Chris in Minnesota, Brady Quinn's partner. This is headliner
Lie here on Fox Sports Radio. Chris Headliner Lie. The Dublin,
Ohio Strongest Human competition was won by a transgender powerlifter
who goes by the name of the meat Wagon A Lie. Yeah,

(21:36):
that's great. Yeah, that's such passive aggressive talk. That's someone
for for for a text message? Was that a yellow
belly move by me? Is that what that was? There?
It is just shows. All right, Here we go, Mario,
headline or Lie. Fox Sports radio host Jonas Knox is

(21:57):
confused with the actor Wes Bentley from Hunger Games on
the Petros and Money Show headline, Lee Berno what it
back there? Dude? Let listen. I'll tell you gotta dust

(22:18):
this thing on. Yeah, so so that is incorrect. I
guess weird, but but it's happened before John. Yeah, people,
thank you. Yeah. Is it just because of the beard,
because the guy's got that weird beard? Is that what
it is? I think it's the way his hair is
matted down in that show too. That's like a similar
hairstyle and the beard. Yeah. I'm trying not to use

(22:41):
as a compliment though, I'm trying not to use as
much hair product. I don't like to shine anymore. Yeah,
it doesn't look at it looks like a helmet doesn't
look as good. Who cares a spot? Probably no one?
Thank you? That is a fair point, all right, So
let's go over to Chris and Minnesota Chris Brady Quinn's partner.
Next up here, Chris Headliner Lie. Major League Baseball's efforts
to shore games continued this week when the league announced

(23:02):
a new fast forward feature during select live broadcasts. I'm
gonna say a headline, Oh hey, Chris, you can't fast
forward a live game, you know, like that's but again,

(23:24):
at this point, who knows, maybe he can't, you know
what the he's just thinking what we're all thinking. We'd
like to fast forward, we'd like to speak this whole thing. Yeah,
I agree, all right, Mario from Rochester. Here we go.
Headline or lie a Wildcats found in Cincinnati with co
caineidans system. I mean, cocaine bear just came out, So
I gotta say a headline. It's that real od night.

(23:48):
Oh yeah, that's the real story. It's a real story.
Were they like like storing it in there? Did he
like snorted himself? I don't know. I just love how
well he got one cat reference in earlier today. Now
we've got a cocaine cat. Wow. That's uh, everybody's doing
coke these days. That's awesome. All right, let's go to

(24:10):
Chris in Minnesota. Come on, Chris, need to come back here,
all right, Chris headline or lie. A Florida stripper was
charged with domestic battery after striking a ex boyfriend with
a wat of cash. Oh that's a headline. Oh, good call,

(24:30):
good call, good call. Calls. All right, here we go
Mario headliner Lie. President Joe Biden falls down the stairs
of Air Force one again. Oh my god, headline times
a thousand. Oh, come on, really it was it was actually,

(24:51):
I believe the photo that most recently serviced when he
was in Poland. They're actually saying it was someone else.
It wasn't Biden, So we have to go based on
that O. By the way, if you see those conspiracy
theories out there, they think there are multiple Bidens. It's
like the movie Dave all over again. They'll just make
up any they can roll with it on Twitter. It's fun,

(25:11):
all right. So let's go back over to Chris and Minnesota.
This is headliner Lie here on Fox Sports Radio. We
are all tied up at two apiece in the late
stages of the game here, So Chris and Minnesota, Brady
Quinn's partner headliner Lie. When asked about the new contract
for quarterback Daniel Jones Giants great Lawrence Taylor said, quote,
would that would have bought me a whole lot of
Booker sugar back in the day. I'm gonna say that

(25:36):
is a lie. All right, all right, Chris, when the
comebacks up far Mario, you need this one to put
it in overtime, all right, Come on, Mario, Here we go, Mario,
headline or lie. Two men removed from a Jimmy Buffett
concert after indecent exposure and try to get past security

(25:57):
to jump on stage. That's a lie, is it? Though?
I cannot confirm nor deny. All right, so here we go.
We've got our tiebreaker situation here on the show. So

(26:20):
this is that works, So I'm gonna read a tiebreaker question.
Your name is your buzzer. Whoever buzzes in first with
their name will have an opportunity to guess whether or
not it is a headline or a lie. You don't
shout out headline, You don't shout out lie. You shout
out your name. And whoever gets in first, we'll have
an opportunity here. So wait till you hear the entire
question or entire story here, and you tell us whether

(26:41):
or not it is a headline er lie. So here
we go the tiebreaker sudden death question here between Chris
and Minnesota and Mario and Rochester to decide the game here,
headline or lie. ESPN is reporting that the NBA reached
out and thanked John Morant personally for helping the league
finally get some coverage. Mario. All right, so Mario is

(27:02):
in first at a Rochester Mario, is that a headline
or a lie? That's a lie? Bing go bang? Yeah,
hold my polar gone the way there you guys? Hey, Chris,
can we hear though the Notre Dame fight song one
more time? Though? Come on run by? Back up from

(27:25):
the gun? Great okla, look all right man piping it
out here on a Friday. Well done, hey, guys, Well done, Mario,
well done, Chris quotes you guys, thanks so much. I
have a great rest of your Friday and enjoy the weekend.
And we appreciate you being part of the show. To
be safe out there, guys, A right to there they are,

(27:46):
so Chris and Mario upon the always appreciate a headline,
a line that goes into overtime. That's always great. Yeah,
that's fun because we do a lot of put a
lot of the stuff together ourselves here, and like some
of these stories are very elaborate. How these well yeah?
And I think the Biden one falling down the stairs
gets used once used to get used once a week?
What h lee though? Are we sure about that? Last

(28:08):
one was that not a headline. I kept finding some
stuff about two guys. They are to Jimmy Buffert concert.
You know, if I could remember, I would tell you,
but I only remember the beginning of the concert eartly.
How many drinks do you think you had at the concert?
Was that part of our over unders? It was part
of overall, so we don't want to spoil it. What
was that for today? Yeah, at the end, going yeah,

(28:30):
all right, let's say, all right, so I'm still telling
the numbers. Two. You don't put like bottle caps in
your pockets, so you see how much damage you did
later on? You know, I was I thought they were
gonna give me the uh, the tall cans. They gave
me the draft, so okay, which makes it harder when
you're double fisting. Yeah, get true. It doesn't stay cold
as long either. Be sure to catch live editions of

the Star wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, was appearing

(29:36):
on the Shop recently and Stefan Diggs was asked about
just kind of what's going on in Buffalo not able
to get over to the hump? You know, what are
the issues there with the Buffalo Bills and the Bills
wide receiver. While on the Shop, broke it down and
described how he feels what is missing from the Buffalo

(29:56):
Bills as they're trying to compete and still try and
win another or win a Super Bowl for the first
time in franchise history. Are you missing again over the
humping up? Are you missing anything? Execution? Like, I think
it's more execution than anything. There's small little pieces on
why you're not going right, and I'm like this, you
can wreck your brain, Like we got the players, we
got the plays, Why ain't coming together? And I'm like,

(30:17):
that's when you draw so much question And I never
want a question like who I am? I never want
to question how I am. I'm giving it everything I got.
I'm dying on the hill of that. So that was
Stefon Digg's courtesy of the Shop talking about what's wrong
with the Buffalo Bills there. They're in a really odd
spot because it does feel like their third in the AFC,

(30:41):
and that's played out the past couple of years. They
can't they got exposed by Cincinnati this past year at home.
They seemingly can't get past Kansas City and the playoffs,
they had their opportunity and they, you know, kind of
a flukey ending to the game and you know, the
defense and giving up that big completion to tie Re
Kill and Travis Kelsey and all that stuff that played

(31:02):
out the year before in the NFC Divisional round, and
it feels like it's Kansas City, Cincinnati and then Buffalo
and then I'll be like Leslie Frazier stepping away from
the team that seems a little bit strange. As defensive coordinator.
It just feels like maybe the Bills came around this
version of the Bills at the wrong time, having to

(31:24):
deal with Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes in the same
conference as we kind of talked about yesterday, I feel
like there's always a little luck that needs to land
on your side. Some people will say there not say
an excuse. You know, there has to be just great execution,
like Stefan Diggs is talking about, there's gotta be a
high degree of execution, but there's gotta be a little
bit of luck too, And so maybe that's a little

(31:45):
bit what you're touching on there. We also tend to forget,
you know, they went through a transition this past year
and oc you know, Ken Dorsey took over play calling.
It's not Brian Dable anymore. We saw the job Brian
Dable you know, did, leading the Giants to the playoffs
and being Coach of the Year. So that drop off there,
I think could have played a little bit of a
factor in the team and how they you know, operator

(32:08):
or executed. Leslie Fraser leaving didn't help either. I mean,
the von Miller injury can't be understated because that was
that was their closer. You know, if you go back
to to the Rams Super Bowl, you know, at the
end of the game, you know you're they're gonna make
it about Aaron Donald. But if you don't have Von
Miller on the outside to create some of the pressure
he was creating, it doesn't matter. And I thought that

(32:30):
injury really impacted the way their defense operated. The other
thing I'll just generally say is, you know, as we
look at rosters just in the AFC East, Okay, I
don't know that the Bills have that great of a roster.
I mean, They've got Josh Allen, He's one of the
best quarterbacks in the league. They've got Stefan dis he's
one of the best wide receivers in the league. Besides that,

(32:53):
who are you looking at saying he is one of
the best players. May maybe Tridevious White at cornerback, but
he's missed some time. He has he's been banged up.
Jordan Poyer, who I believe might be a free agent
at this point. So you know, you started going through
the roster and go Okay, like the Kansa, the Chiefs
had seven Pro Bowl players this year, the Bills had four,
at least initially upon voting. You know, so when you're

(33:16):
trying to stack yourself up against you know, the best
in your conference and the team you have to beat
to get to a super Bowl, it becomes a bit
difficult if you can't match them talent wise. And then
you start looking at the rosters within their own division.
I mean, I would put it this way, would you
rather take Stefan Diggs and then then the Bills wide
receiver corps or the Miami dolphinshins? And I think you

(33:38):
start looking at little best cornerback play. Look Trenevious Whites
up there. Sauce Garden right now, could be he's a
top three probably quarterback in league. He might be the best,
and he just drafted him. Gary Wilson has worked his
way to be one of the better wide receivers in
the NFL. Um you started looking at the Jets roster
and then some of the young players they've got. You know,
Quinnon Williams, the impact he's had. You know, one point

(34:00):
last season, I thought he should have gotten more attention
for potential, you know, defensive player of the Year. He
was playing phenomenal. So there's there's other teams now, even
within their own division that I think I've gotten more
talented and made things way harder for them just to
be able to survive this season and then getting through
the AFC, you know, playoffs as well as difficult when
you've got to deal with the Bengals, you've got to

(34:21):
deal with the Chiefs, and you got to deal with
you know, other teams with with you know, top end
talented quarterbacks. So m look, it's gonna be even more
crazy to watch if Rogers joins the AFC. I keep
touched on this, but I mean, imagine a playoffs where
you've got Rogers and obviously him and Josh Allen. One

(34:41):
of them is gonna be a playoffs one Hums gonna
be a wild card. But those two teams I would
imagine are both going to the playoffs. You've got the Bengals,
You've got Patrick Mahomes obviously with the Chiefs, Justin Herbert
probably as a wild card team with the Chargers. I mean,
you're talking about some of those talented, talented quarterbacks, and
then but you know, potentially Trevor Lawrence, you know, lead
the way in the n FC South, Like they're all

(35:03):
guys who I think, you know, you're looked at, you
looked at as first round draft to quarterbacks, but franchise
quarterbacks and guys who all have the caliber to be
Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Every single one of these guys.
I mean, Rogers already is, Mahomes already is, but Burrow, Alan,
Herbert Lawrence, they all have the potential to be. And
these are the teams that could be squaring off at

(35:23):
least for the next couple of seasons. The quarterbacks that
you're gonna be watching the playoffs. It's a gauntlet. Like
I'm trying to think of another time where when we
went to the playoffs, you were like, dude, like every
single games must see TV because of how good these
quarterbacks are. And we always had the brilliant and Peyton
Manning in that era of you know, when they would
have to score off versus one another, when you know

(35:45):
it was Indian New England and then it was you know,
Denver in New England. But you know you had been
in that mix Ben Roethlisberger, but it wasn't like you
consistently had you know, six quarterbacks. You're looking at, going,
my god, like any team would be lucky to have
these guys as their starting quarterback. And by the way,
that's not like you know, discounting anyone else, whether it's
Lamar Jackson, who could you know, be a part of

(36:06):
that as a balt of Ravens quarterback off his back
or two other way he played under Mike McDaniel this
past year. If he can stay healthy, I mean, you
can start throwing in some other people into that mix.
But it's it's crazy to see the talent, at least
the level of talent of some of the quarterbacks in
this conference of what it could look like. And and
Stefan dig is frustrated now and you know, they obviously

(36:27):
need to increase their execution. It's only going to get
harder moving forward. Yeah, And look, we've talked about this
before in the show. What was Phil Mickelson's biggest problem
during the course of his career in winning more majors
Tiger Woods? Yes, so, like sometimes it just happens to
where you come up, you come along at the same
time that somebody just happens to be an all timer.

(36:49):
And as it right now, Patrick Mahomes has had the
best start to an NFL career possibly of any quarterback
in history of the league. And Joe Burrow has completely
helped turn around an entire franchise and he's got that
it factor to where he shows up in the playoffs
and they're winning games. Because you just go back to
that game against Buffalo. Man, that game was a wipeout.

(37:10):
At no point in time when Cincinnati went down and scored.
At no point in time did I think and trust me,
I bet Buffalo all right, So maybe that was part
of the problem. No point in time did I watched
that game and think, oh, yeah, the Bills are back
in this like it was over, like they had nothing
for him. That's up forward about that though, is it

(37:30):
had nothing to do in my opinion. I mean, obviously
I thought the Bengals did a great job on Stefan Diggs,
but that had more to do with just the overall
physicality of Cincinnati in that game. They played so much
better up front than Buffalo did, and it was almost
like a mentality. You know, they just were not going
to allow Buffalo to be the more physical team. And

(37:50):
you know, they kind of heard about the matchup of
the defensive front for Buffalo versus the Bengals offensive line
and the injuries and everything else, and they just ran
the ball down the throat like they set the tone
early when Joe Mixon was you know, running for five
yard clips. I remember watching that thinging like, this isn't
going to end up being the shootout we thought between
the quarterbacks it might become that at some point the game,

(38:11):
but Zach Taylor was very much had his mindset on
making sure he realized, like, this is still football. We
can still be the most physical team. Where everyone kind
of you know discounted that or forgot about that when
it was all said and done, And I thought that
was one of the low key things that was surprising
considering Sean McDermott's background where he was a you know,
a wrestler. He tends to come off as a guy

(38:33):
who's you know, not going to allow people to push
them around, and the Bills got pushed around. They almost
feel a little bit like a finesse team at times
outside of the way Josh Allen runs because he's the
most physical runner they have on that team. Yeah, it's
it's going to be interesting to see how that plays
out for the Buffalo Bills. And look, maybe it'll you
know work out in their advantage because they're not the
favorite to win the Super Bowl this year, so there

(38:55):
is that maybe they don't have to go into the
season with all the pressure in the world. And you know,
if they're sitting just behind Kansas City like it seems
like usual. So you got Kansas City, by the way.
I can't I can't figure out why the forty nine
ers are tied for a second in odds when it
comes to Super Bowl win, Like to win the Super Bowl,
I I just can't figure that out. They don't have

(39:15):
any salute, Like what is their quarterback situation? And we
just assume San Francisco is going to roll this out
again and just take whoever strow on the football and
whoever's under center, and they're going to be a Super
Bowl contender. I don't get it. But what the hell
do that has a lot to do to me With
Kyle Shanahan, I kind of I think a sense of
belief in what he can do regardless of whose quarterback,

(39:36):
how talented the roster is. So kudos that John Lynch
in the front office. Um, you know for guys like
Christian McCaffrey and deebo and obviously you know Nick post
On the other side of the poll. But I think
I have to do with those two things. It's saying, hey,
they got a talented roster, they've got a coach who
can put that quarterback in a good spot. We don't
know who it's going to be, but they're gonna succeed
when it's all said and done that. And you've got

(39:56):
a fan base that I think obviously is trying to
get into Oh yeah future. Oh come on, man, listen,
a lot of a lot of cub fans. For years
we're betting on them to win the World Series and
finally paid out once. The problem is they lost like
the previous one hundred seven bets, so they're they're out
their ass on on a bunch of cash throughout the
course betting history. Huh, yes, that is correct, Yeah, absolutely correct.

(40:18):
Would you know what, keep getting up and keep fighting back.
I just keep battling, fighting a good fight against the
gambling world. I keep losing, but I keep fighting that
good fight. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
