Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the best of two pros and a couple
of Joe with Lamar airings Rady Win and Jonas Knox
on Box Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
So today's day we get to open up all our presents.
See what the entire NFL schedule is going to be. Yay,
this is fun stuff.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Hooray we what does it? Exciting schedule? Come on, it's fun.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
We gotta do an account wins and losses. See who
got screwed on a bye week late in the year,
Like this is the good stuff here.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
I actually don't like bye weeks early in the year.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
You know you prefer them.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I was going to ask you guys this, Do you
have any specific requests as players when the NFL schedule
comes out? Is there anything that you guys say that's
what I want? I definitely don't want this, like.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
What stands up middle of the season. By if you
have to be earlier late, you'd rather to me late. Usually,
like some of those teams that have a buy for
the first four weeks or so, you're going, all right,
we just got started.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Now we're taking some time off, you know it.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
It usually isn't the best and especially for teams that
get into a rhythm or float early in the season.
Then you kind of have that off week where you
get off track a little bit, got to pick it
back up. It's just to me, I think it's worse
having it early than late in that case. But that's
that's about it. I mean, you'd like to not have
multiple weeks on the road, you know, if you can
(01:25):
avoid the back to back weeks or back to back
to back, that's always helpful too.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, being on the road is never
that's never generally fun. But definitely having your bye week
mid season, and if you had to have it, have
it late season, you know. For for my experience, well
we were only a winning team like maybe once or twice,
so it's kind of like if you're winning, like I
(01:51):
can remember in New York we were winning, you get
that bye week. People don't realize that bye week. You
get like what may be one or two days of
practice I believe, like maybe Monday and Tuesday, and then
they maybe they release you Wednesday or something like that,
so you get out like like for me, I was
(02:14):
like I was in Jamaica, like out of there, like
I was out of the country, and and so you
get that in Jamaica about Hey, he you know, that's
that's where my root is from. So yeah, I just
have Yeah, of course why not. I was. I mean
I was in shape. You know, I was looking pretty
good back then. So yeah, I wore something like that,
(02:35):
you know, a little bracelet. Yeah, yeah, everything cool. How
you stay uh and and so yeah that how you
stay you know, like I was your stay? How you
stay there? Anyway? Yeah, that's uh yeah, that was that
to me, having that opportunity to kind of hit your reset,
(02:56):
so to speak, for you know what, what would you know,
for twice in my career would be for a playoff run,
you know that they'd always felt good being able to
get that little reset right there, like right on the
Cuspa where it was mid season to late season. So yeah,
I didn't like early early, early byes because you know,
(03:19):
the weather was still decent, you know. I mean I
didn't play in a nice weather a nice weather market.
So I don't know how I would have felt if
I was in like you know, Miami or you know,
Tampa or somewhere like that where the weather is pretty
good in California where the weather is good all year,
but playing in a place where it gets cold. We
didn't have an indoor facility, so you kind of, you know,
(03:43):
you wanted that buy when it was snowing out and
when it was cold out, so you can kind of
get that little reset.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I would think that you would want as little travel
as possible if you do get that break, so you'd
maybe not want to go anywhere. At least that's how
I operate. I don't want to stay at home. Just
let me stay at home and just kind of relax.
I don't want to be in an airport. I don't
want to be having to deal with traffic going to
the air That's how you are in life, that's right.
You know you don't want to go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, you don't eat food, you don't go anywhere. Yeah,
it makes sense for you.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
I think the rest of of humanity would probably get
a little different.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Listen, all I need is a weight room and some
Chopper protein shakes, and I'm good.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
That's all I need. That I'm simple man.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
That should be a shirt. Chopper protein That definitely is
a shirt.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
What would the end on the back ingredients?
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, that would be pretty fun. Really don't wants us
to come off as offensive. I don't know. How it's
not going to be for.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
As much as you claim to work out, you really
should be bigger at this point.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Listen, that is insulting.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Talking about it all the time.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
And I just you know, I'm jacked.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Can we get you on something? Can we get some
forts and answers?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Why do you why do you always round down on
my measurement? I mean, you know I've got like twenty
eight inch arms. You know, I'm jacked, all right. I
don't know why you tell tales on the air like this.
It's insulting that you would lie to the audience like that.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
You are pretty slim, you know.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
But you you worked out, Brady, you you.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Were pretty slim Jonas, you know. But what it is
you you work out for marathons.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
That's all.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
That's what I'm saying, Like, like, it's fine if you
don't want to be jacked, you're you're more of.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Like a slim you know, it works out a slim bit,
you know, I'm sky. You want to like a punter?
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, hey, there were some punters who were shredded. Who
was that guy from the Giants under Jack? Oh h no, no,
you want to He won one of the Super Bowls
with the Giants, Steve Weatherford.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
It was we yoked.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, he was a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
And Brady has told me that that I remind him
a lot of Steve Weatherford.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Who never said you're not. I'm glad.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
I'm glad you brought him up because he's in a
example of when you're a punter, when you're not punting,
you have other time to go work out.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, and that's what he looks like.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Yeah. You, on the other hand, it claimed to be
always working out. You do not look like him.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Look when I'm brushing my teeth, I'm doing curls, when
I'm combing my hair, curls. When I'm in the shower,
I've got Poli bars in the shower that I use
to get tricep workouts. And it's what I live by.
That's what I'm about. And again some people are hashtag
built different. I don't know what to tell you.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
I've turned on Conan the Barbarian with all of this
this lifting n yeah song man talk.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Just so we're clear that I'll get you going. Yeah
to give me.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
By the way, we should make mention of the fact that,
look what happens when the free throws even out in
the Warriors Lakers game, both teams fifteen free throw attempts.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Look what happens?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Golden State runs away with it last night, a cruise
to victory situation there up in the Bay Area. The
Golden State Warriors now down three to two in that series,
and the TNT crew is even and afterwards Game six
at the Crypto dot Org Arena whatever it's called now
the Lakers, that's their Game seven.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
They need to get it done.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
And Anthony Davis was rolled out in a wheelchair because
he got hit in the head and.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
That Looney knocked h Nooney, nooney, And it was funny
to watch, so well, it was funny.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
To watch Charles Barkley and Shack trying not to mock
the fact that he got hit in the head and
was wheeled out in a wheelchair, and Kenny Smith was
trying to give a breakdown, and Shaq was they him
and Barkley were looking at each other, just laughing their
ass off, and nobody wanted to say anything because they
didn't want to be too cold blooded. And then when
they finally got to Barkley to give his analysis on
(07:45):
the game, he claims that Kenny Smith was acting like
he was pushing his chair like a wheelchair. Andy's like,
I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
I didn't do that.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
It's just but that's part of why, like basketball gets
such a bad rap as far as the tough guy thing.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
It's just the way they handle injuries.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
I'm not saying that guys don't get legitimately injured or
have you know, you go through pain or play through pain.
It's just when it does happen, you know, you see
guys who's just.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
I'm like, what are we doing?
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Like, I mean, look, I guess the equivalent in football obviously,
because you're not gonna get a wheelchair out there on
the turf like that is is you you know, you
get taken off on the cart.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
But these are legitimate injuries.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Air cast sometimes.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
An air cast or some guy's leg is pointing three
different directions, or literally he got knocked out like he
had tried to fight Mike Tyson back during his prime,
and literally the guy's just face down that he's not
even responsive. Like that's that's when you're like, Okay, bring
out the cart. Like otherwise they're like, get your ass
up and walk off the field.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
I mean your coach like that. That's it's just a
different culture. So it is always grab you're.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Fine before before I just talked yesterday how he's picking
guys up off off the.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Ground after absolutely de botes immediately immediately. It's not even
allowing them to realize the bay they're in. No, like,
what's the last time.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Usually NBA players will lay on the ground and like
soak it up and with someone to come like grab them.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that is the funniest bout way. Why
do guys why do basketball guys never help themselves up
off of the ground? Why do they all know? Is
it because they're so tall, Like it's like they just
always wait for somebody to help them up. Okay, let's
go beyond that.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
You just missed a free throw, you go get fives
from your teammates. Why you just did something bad? Why
are you getting fives from your teammates? And when people could.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Be like, well, it's the routine, dude, I get it.
I played basketball. I understand I never did that.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
You want to know why, because if I shot a
free throw and missed, I wasn't looking for my teammates
for support to then make the next free throw. I'm
now self evaluating, going, what the hell just happened there?
You spend hours practicing free throws, get your craft together,
make the next one. I'm not tapping fives with other people.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
The one that's weird is when they reach behind their
back and nobody's there.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
What's the point, Like, well, that's part of my.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
Rest They might be there, okay, but they're not a
lot of times, like a lot of times they're getting
instructions from the coach or they're you know, waiting to
see they're trying to catch a blow as they're sitting
behind the foul line and nobody's there, and they'll just
throw their hands out there.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
That that part is weird to a lot of that stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Is for show because they're movie stars. Man. You know,
basketball players are more diva ish because because you can
see them, you know, it's like it's more hollywoodish. You know, guys,
they're not as workmen like as as football guys got
you know, hard hat, lunch pail type of approach. Like
it's not the same, you know, definite not like Jonas. Yeah, yeah,
(10:52):
there you go. I mean definitely not like Jonas.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Look, I don't know a hard hat lunch pail guy.
That's me through through and you guys know it.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
I mean you got more of a soft cap, you.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Know, one of those.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Don't hurt your head getting off the walls.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
With a propeller on the top.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
That's what I have.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Love my soft hat. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Blippy's got one of those, like the pig in that
commercial that is head out the window.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Wait wait, wait wait wait, I beg of you, of you, Brady.
This is the one stretch of time during the course
of the day I don't have to hear Blippy. I please,
can we not talk about Blippy for three hours?
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I don't get the attraction. Why kids like that guy?
He creeps me out.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
I literally, anytime I get a chance to, I do
not let my kids watch that. And then they'll like
find a way an iPad on a plane of turning
it on, and I'll catch them. I'll be like throwing
peanuts at him across the aisle just to turn, just
to turn them on something else.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
My kid loves him, my daughter and my gods and
the world both in the Blippy face back in the
d okay.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
For people that don't know all right, first of all,
consider yourself lucky that you don't know. For people that
don't know, Blippy is this guy in glasses who wears
like a funny hat. Yeah, and he sold it like
he's His net worth is like almost eighty million dollars.
Like the guy's made a killing, and he wears blue
and orange and he just goes to like funhouses and
(12:23):
trash truck parking lots and like goes and takes people on.
It's like supposed to be like some sort of learning thing,
but he's such a nerd and it's on all day.
And if you tube, he just sold his the rights
to the show to another and he made a killing.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
I get he just crushed it.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
But I'll be honest with you too, Vara, if you
haven't seen him, look him up.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I could.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
I'm not saying Jonas looks like him. I'm just saying
I could see Jonas pivot all of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Show.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Let me tell you something insulting thing you've ever said.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
You could do this, Blip, you could do this.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
B L B L I P P I like that's
it's every.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
You could do this Jonas. You could pivot and you
can make that transition.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Would it would be easy to do I mean as saying.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
This is very energetic.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Yeah, this, this is Blippy. Okay, this is a radio station.
Do you know what comes out of a radio station?
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Radio?
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Let's go take it to the station. But it's non stop.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
This sound pretty good doing that though it's on all day.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
How would not be good?
Speaker 3 (13:40):
You could be missing your calling.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
You just called me Blippy. I'll never forgive you for that.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
I'm saying you could do what he does.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
And then apparently Blippy has a black friend and to
that that dress is just like him.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, show it to you. I'm just I'm just up
here doing my homework.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
You must be using Lee's passwords. This guy Lee just
discovered Blippy. This is the first time you've seen Blippy.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Oh man, fire, truck, fire, your truck. I love me
of your truck.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
All and there's there's parents who are driving to work
right now or saying the same thing.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
Please give me a break, like I'm doing.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Everything, But you know what, it's better than talk about
the NB A.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Fire.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
My daughter and my gods and bull dress up as
Sleepy one year for Halloween.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Did they really more than five years old.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
You know you did to Berto. Don't be passing it
off like it was just them. You know you were
in one two Happy as hell. He was the main
one wanting to be Blippy, and.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
You know he used to dress like DJ from the Street Fighting.
We used to go to Jamaica.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah, there's there's a you know, I know j F
d C, the guy who played that rolling street Fighter.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Yeah, we used to hang out. He was ripped now,
he was ripped up.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
I do appreciate the fact Burdo just fired that right
back at LeVar.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
But you somehow kept rolling like I was just like, what,
Burdo is ready this morning? Yeah? Yeah, cool, I didn't
see that coming.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
You guys, where do you guys think of Two Pros
as NBA coveras during the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
It's great we talked about Blippy and street Fighter.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Berto, the first first Spanish speaking Blippy character in the
history of Blippy l Blippy l.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Oh Man, You mean a ray that's a pinata comes
out of a pinata, Candy.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Oh Man.
Speaker 8 (16:36):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Right now, we turn it over to the man himself,
a Thursday tradition unlike any other. He is Albert Breer, Master,
Senior NFL reporter at the mm QB. Get him on
Twitter at Albert Breer Big al What's happening?
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Happened today? Awesome start, we got out, this is what
this is what we look forward to.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Is he not on the porch? On his porch? This
is unfortunate.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
I think he needs to move at this point.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (17:27):
I thought I got pulled off. Are we good now?
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Yeah, we're good right now? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (17:32):
I thought I thought Lee.
Speaker 9 (17:33):
I thought Lee pulled me off the air, so I
stopped talking and then I heard you guys talking, and
then I thought I was talking to Lee, and I'm
actually talking to you guys.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
So we are.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Yeah, and listen, we're all here together. Al can we
ask here?
Speaker 2 (17:45):
There's some reports out Jordan Schultz is saying that the
season opener in the NFL is going to be none
other than the Lions at the Chiefs. Early impressions of
that matchup and why that was the one yeah, you know.
Speaker 9 (17:58):
I really liked the idea of it. I didn't know
if the league would do it, but you know, like
you look at their schedule, generally they don't like state
division games these, right, Like, so take the Chargers, the Broncos,
and the Raiders off the table, and you know, I
think for ratings reasons, they like to save like the
biggest games. So I think that takes the Bengals, the Bills,
(18:20):
the Eagles off the table. And then when you look
at it, you know, I really thought like Detroit and
Miami were probably the two most interesting left. I mean,
if we're being honest, like, I think we all know
where the where the discussion would go if the Dolphins
were in that game, like with Tua coming back off
the concussions and everything else, and I just I felt
(18:40):
like the league probably wouldn't want that being a storyline
going into the game. And that sort of left me
with Detroit. And look, I think Detroit is a really fun,
interesting team. They finished the season strong last year, and like, look,
like we know that game is gonna rate no matter what, right,
Like that game, you know, because of the popularity of
(19:02):
sport and and and the NFL in particular, that game
is never gonna have a problem drawing a rating, and
you already have a really entertaining team on that stage
and the Chiefs, So why not introduce the Lions to
the country, you know?
Speaker 10 (19:14):
And uh, I guess it would have.
Speaker 9 (19:16):
Been even a little bit better if James and Williams
could step strayed off the betting apps. But but, but,
but Detroit is shaping up to be a really entertaining team.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
Nonetheless, YE say that doesn't that kind of make that
part of the conversation into to get into the game, like.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
A concussions I mean, you can get like, I mean,
we could sponsor that conversation, can't.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
We have.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
That? We could sponsor it.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
But I mean, as much as the laughing matter, we
also have to be careful about the integrity of the
league and all that comes along with that, which is
probably why there's a harsh penalty on them. I actually
want to segue to the conversation about the Jaguars playing
back to back weeks over in London, we saw a
report come out that the Jacksonville Jaguars, as they try
(20:06):
to make stadium renovations, could be missing missing a minimum
of two years in Jacksonville. I mean, if I'm reading
the tea leaves here Albert, it seems like it's just
a convenient way of maybe that the Jacksonville Jaguars making
the way over to London and just never coming back.
Speaker 9 (20:24):
Yeah, And you know, like I think that this was
something the league really did look at Brady. You know,
I remember talking with Mark Waller, who you know, is
a huge part of like launching the International Initiative over
you know, over the last decade or so, and you know,
he's not involved with the league anymore.
Speaker 10 (20:40):
At that level, but really was kind of like in
charge of getting.
Speaker 9 (20:43):
It up and running. And you know, they had a
goal to have a team in London within fifteen years
of starting it and that and they they started.
Speaker 10 (20:51):
That the London Series in two thousand and seven, and.
Speaker 9 (20:55):
So like, you know, at one point the goal had
been by by last year to have a full time
team in London and they felt like the infrastructure and
all this stuff, the fan base, like all that stuff
was there. The biggest problem that they ran into that
they couldn't really solve with logistics. And you know, it's
like a lot of little things that you don't think of,
like you game up the schedule to make it work
(21:15):
for a London team, But like.
Speaker 10 (21:18):
What happens when you're in the playoffs and like.
Speaker 9 (21:20):
That London team draws Seattle, you know, and that that
that team's you know that those teams are either you know,
going one you know, one way twelve hours or the
other way twelve hours in a one off situation where
you've got to plan on the fly.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
I mean, I've got a simple solution to that, Albert
you just don't put them in the same conference as Seattle.
Speaker 9 (21:40):
Well, but you have West Coast, but you have like
West Coast teams in every conference.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
And sure, I'm just I'm just saying you kind of
you know, you kind of hope to eliminate some of
that by limiting all right, San Francisco, Seattle, the LA Rams.
There's it seems to be at least you've got a
higher percentage in the NFC.
Speaker 9 (21:58):
Yeah, and there was there was more of its, like
I mean, there were other things also, Brady, I mean,
but beyond just that, it was like you know, and
you guys know this having been on NFL teams, how
rosters tarned during the year, Like what happens when you
have a few injuries and you have to bring guys
in for a Tuesday workout.
Speaker 10 (22:13):
You know what I mean, Like where do you do that?
Speaker 9 (22:15):
And I'd actually heard at one point like the Falcons
had looked at this was actually really interesting. At one
point the Falcons had looked at and if you guys
know where the Falcons facility, it's about an hour north
of Atlanta. It's not close to Atlanta. So the Falcons
had looked at like building a training facility closer to
the city, you know, where their stadium is and obviously
(22:36):
where most of their fan base is, and then selling
the facility and Flowery Branch to the league, and the
league would then use that as the US home base
for the London team. And so the London team, like
when they're playing in the States, would come over and
practice during the week in that facility in Atlanta, and
that's where they would conduct their Tuesday workouts and all
that sort of stuff and do a lot of their business.
(22:59):
So there are ways to do it. It's just I
think there are a lot of like logistical questions that
were were difficult to answer and look like if it
came to it, like and you know, like say there
was a team that was going to go through a
two year stadium renovation, like you're talking about, maybe it
would be an interesting drive run, you know, to have
somebody over there and see how it would work.
Speaker 10 (23:20):
If you were doing it that way.
Speaker 9 (23:22):
So, you know, I think they do feel like they've
gotten to the point where London because the staying a team.
You know, you've got a stadium there that's that's built
specifically with football in mind, in the Tottenham Stadium, and
they feel like sand bases there and obviously there's a
lot of money to be made over there, but the
logistical issues were what stood in the way of trying
(23:43):
to take a team over there full time.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Abe. I wanted to talk to you about one of
the articles you wrote, and your headline was why NFL
team should tank for Caleb Williams and Drake So let's
let's I mean, like tanking is obviously frowned upon, it's
it's it's it's looked at a certain type of ways.
So for that to be in the title, I found
(24:10):
it to be super super uh provocative and what it
is that you did, but there's a lot of validity
to what it is that you uh, you know, put
into your article. Just talk to me about the thought
process behind you know what that is with with Caleb
Williams and Drake may Well.
Speaker 9 (24:28):
Let me let me start here. I don't write the headlines.
Huh okay, all right, No, I'm not trying. I mean
it is a provocative headline if you if you actually
read read what I wrote there, Like what but the
case I was making because somebody had asked me as
a mailbag question, and somebody had asked me, is the
(24:50):
NFL going to have a tanking problem with with with
the quarterbacks and this year's draft?
Speaker 10 (24:55):
And my answer was yes.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
But I don't think it's going to be in September October.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
You know what.
Speaker 9 (25:00):
Where I think it's going to happen is in December
and January. And I said that, like, if I'm one
of those teams, I probably would do it. And like,
you're not doing it for telling a coach don't coach
to win. You're not doing it through telling players you
know we want you to quit on the season. I
would do it through creative roster management. I would, you know,
(25:20):
I would set things up. I would try to game
it a certain way so you know you're positioning yourself
to get the number one or number two draft pick.
And I think if you look at this historically, history
tells us that it is the right thing to do,
you know, I mean, and I know that sounds harsh,
but like if you look at like the Jets a
couple of years ago, if the twenty twenty Jets lose
(25:43):
one more game, if they don't have like this little
two game win streak where I believe if I go
back and look at like how I wrote this, but
I think they beat two playoff teams in a row
in December. If they don't win those games in December,
then they wind up with Trevor Lawrence and we're talking
about a whole different deal, you know, with the Jets. Now,
I supposed against Dak Wilson.
Speaker 10 (26:02):
They are where they are so but.
Speaker 9 (26:04):
I think I just think when we get December and January. Now,
I don't think it's gonna be issues to came in October,
but we'll get to December January. If Caleb Williams and
Drake may have the years that people are expecting them
to have, there's definitely gonna be a point of discussion.
And I think there are going to be a few
teams where you can say the right thing for them
to do is lose out.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Get them on Twitter at Albert Breer. He is senior
NFL reporter for the MMQB. Always kind enough to join
us here on Fox Sports Radio every single Thursday. Warning, Albert,
I got to know when it comes to the NFL
schedule release, how far in advance do you know what
these games are? But you're told to keep quiet? Take
us inside because there was some confusion about the London games,
(26:45):
whether are the Germany games, whether it was going to
be Chiefs Bears. There was the Saints at Patriots rumor
that was out there. Some people got that wrong, including
I allegedly Travis and Jason. Kelsey's mom went on Facebook
and said those games are happening, so they see it
felt like there was some bad information this year. So
take us through what it's like being an insider when
(27:06):
you get this information and when you're allowed to let
it loose.
Speaker 9 (27:09):
I mean, I don't really like, honestly, this isn't something
I really pursue.
Speaker 10 (27:13):
You know, I have things i'll call favors in on.
This isn't one of.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
Them for me, you know, I like I'll find stuff out.
I'll hear stuff just in the natural course of things
and in talking to people.
Speaker 10 (27:26):
But I don't really pursue this. I just I don't know.
Speaker 9 (27:30):
It sort of is what it is to me.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Now.
Speaker 9 (27:31):
One thing I have heard is that the league is
being very very tight about.
Speaker 10 (27:35):
The information for this year for one reason or another.
Speaker 9 (27:39):
I'm not sure why why it's this year over other years,
why they're being so secretive, but I've heard there there
may or may not be some signed documents for people
that have the schedule that could lead to problems for
those people if they let the information out. So I
don't know why this is a huge secret this year,
(28:01):
but I do know, like you know, some of the
people that I like that I've gone to for this
sort of thing in the past when I might need
one thing or two things from them, are a lot
tighter this year than they have been in the past.
And I you know, before this year, honestly, it really
wasn't that hard to come by the information. You get
(28:22):
it if you want if you really want to after it.
This year, for one reason or another, they've been a
little bit tighter about the information.
Speaker 10 (28:29):
I don't know why.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
How do you think this is all going to play
out with the networks not taking their typical I guess
approach to having you know, Fox with the NFC, CBS
with the AFC. It seems like there's going to be
a lot of crossover and obviously a good time at
least for Fox. Considering all the star power quarterbacks in
(28:52):
the AFC. How do you think that's going to play
a role and just the way it's broadcasted this year.
Speaker 9 (28:57):
Yeah, I think there are a couple reasons for it.
And look like I think the reason why it's good
to have it that way it is like it builds familiarity,
you know, like like who knows the like who would
know the the Chiefs or the you know, or the
Bills or the Bengals better than than Jim Nantz and
Tony Robo right like and how familiar to do like
(29:20):
you know, Kevin Burkhart and Greg Olsen get to be
with the Cowboys and the Giants and the Eagles, you know.
Like that's the advantage of having it that way. I
think really what this boils down to this couple of things.
The price point of the of the broadcast package us
the course is part of it, and making sure that
everybody gets the best games when things are lopsided and
the conferences are a little lopsided. Right now, I think
(29:41):
we can all agree on that, right, you know. And
then I think the other part of it is but
just being able to generate better ratings on secondary games
and so like this isn't so much about you know,
like making sure the Chiefs get on and more markets,
or the Eagles get on in more markets. This is
(30:02):
like I think, in individual markets, about making sure that
like you're getting the most interesting game, right, Like so
like in Ohio, right, like say, like you grew up,
you you live in Cleveland, and like because of some
of the rules, CBS can't have a double header that
that week. So Cleveland and Cincinnati are in the playoffs,
right or are you know coming down to it for
(30:23):
the division and because of the rules, because they're both
on CBS, like you can't get the Cincinnati game in Cleveland.
Like that doesn't make sense, right, So what you're saying
this sort of solves that, you know, And so I
think that this helps with that, and you know you're
still going to see it. I mean, I like there's
still like I believe there's still minimums in place, so
(30:44):
like the CBS will still get a minimum number of
Chiefs games and Fox will still get a minimum number
of Cowboys games. But I think this allows them to
game the schedule a little bit better, where like the
it'll be more even between the networks. And you know
that's especially with all the primetime inventory going out the window.
There's more prime primetime inventory than ever before, you know,
(31:05):
and then also make sure that you know in certain
markets you're getting games that affect your teams the most.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
So we can expect to have more of of Tony Is.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
I was wondering who's going to take that one? Albert,
We appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Get them on Twitter at Albert Breers, senior NFL reporter
at the m m QB, who basically just said on
the air, I'm too good to reach out for information
on the NFL schedule release.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Basically you don't, you guys.
Speaker 9 (31:41):
I mean, like we all sort of embraced the ridiculousness
of it, but I mean this is sort of like,
how like how addicted that America is the football?
Speaker 10 (31:51):
Right?
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Dumb?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
This is We're also in the middle, in the middle
of the NBA playoffs, and this is what we're focused on.
Speaker 9 (31:58):
Yes, right, right, right right, kids for football, and Mayo
Levis proves it.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Yep, that's how it is.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
So if you're just tuning into the program, if you're
just checking out sports for the first time today, we'll
catch you up on the reports out of the NFL.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
When it comes to the schedule release.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
The debut for the NFL in twenty twenty three will
in fact be the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions,
so that was unveiled earlier today. And we also have
our second Christmas game that was just announced a short
time ago. It'll be Raiders Chiefs and that game will
also be featured on Nickelodeon.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
So if you were wondering what you're going to be doing.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
On Christmas, Brady, you and the girls will be nestled
up next to a fireplay.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Nice berdo the disrespect for the Raiders, I mean.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
A storied franchise that they're gonna throw on Nickelodeon.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
No, I mean, come on, Burdo.
Speaker 7 (32:53):
Wells, because Josh mcdowon' is the coach with then all
they'll be six and what ten by then, so you
play me's by that time.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
I'm just saying, though, iby, forget who the coaches, it's
the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
I mean, do we have the autumn wind?
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Yeah, come on, the autumn wind. The autumn wind was
slimed on Christmas morning. Come on, give us some autumn
wind here.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
As the Raiders are now.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
I now, in fairness, they are going to be also
featured on CBS, but I gotta be honest with you.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Of Romo's call that game.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
I'd rather have Mark Summers do the color comedy on
Nickelodeon to be truthful with you.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Yeah, I mean, buruh, I'm more interested to see how
you feel about this.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
You're a residence Raiders fan. Is this gonna make Christmas
a good thing or a bad thing?
Speaker 7 (33:42):
Well, the Raiders are gonna suckause Joshman, Dianna's the coach,
so okay, so let's.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Let's say let's okay, that's that's your opinion. Let's say
they're not.
Speaker 7 (33:50):
Those are facts, baby, he's in his records as the
coach is horrible.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
Okay, Okay, again, we don't know what the future holds, Burdos.
Let's let let's let's go with that theory. Though, Let's
say they're not having a good season, but they beat
the Chiefs, which could happen. Yeah, they've actually been kind.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Of competitive on Christmas. On Christmas, I mean you're not.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
You're telling me that's not a great gift from Santa Claus.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Come on, I'll take it. Jimmy g on Christmas. I mean, listen, last.
Speaker 7 (34:19):
Time Jimmy played the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Who's the kid character y'all was talking about earlier in
the show, Blippy? I think he should call the game, Libb,
I think Blippy should call the game.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
I'll tell you right now. If Blippy calls that game,
I'll quit this show.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
Here's here's what's disappointing about this is I really thought
Berto would be excited to be a part of the
segment and talk about, you know, a Christmas holiday being
able to watch the Raiders, Like, are you excited for
any part of this season?
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Burto?
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Uh uh no?
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Let me tell you, all right, Can I tell you
why Burdo is not excited about the Raiders on Christmas?
Speaker 3 (34:55):
It makes me sad.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Here's why, because the night before is Tamalie right, and
he's going to get butchered.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
He's going to blow through at least a half bottle.
These are facts?
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Am I telling a lie here?
Speaker 4 (35:09):
Those are facts? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:11):
And so I mean, why is Jonahs telling you about
tomaly Because.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Berto and I are uh, you know baby, Christmas Eve
we do That's right, Christmas baby, what we do in Oxico.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
But don't understand how the button wouldn't hit on that
one right there knocks? I don't. I don't know. You
just get away with stuff with Berto.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
There's certain that certain certain things, like.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
You on black Fridays though you get whoa Black Friday?
I mean?
Speaker 4 (35:39):
Berto?
Speaker 3 (35:41):
But my god.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Oh my god, Jonah says he he's sea walks on
on those Fridays?
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Does he see walk on Black Friday? That's what.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
Does Burto do is It's what does Burto do? Is
that the V walk?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
The V mean?
Speaker 4 (36:00):
He said the essay walk?
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Essay? Yeah, you know what does what does the walk
look like? What does what does the gringo walks sound like? Burt?
Speaker 4 (36:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
I had no impression for him. I was curious.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah, let's do dance all right. By the way, the uh.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
The other reported schedule that's already out there, we have
the full packers schedule. This according to Matt Schneidman, who
covers the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
He says that the Jordan Love era will start in Chicago,
so they're going to get the Bears week one there
also finished with the Bears at home.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
But check this out. Think about why the NFL would
do that. All Right, you're moving on from one quarterback
who owned the Bears, and then you immediately get to
see whether or not Shor and Love can continue that trend.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
And I don't care what the spread is hammer the
Packers in that spot.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
I'll just to hammer the Bears then, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
But it's more fun to just bury the Bears because
they're so uptight about Aaron Rodgers dominating them. So it
just it feels like that's possibly going to go in
that direction.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
Also, what do you guys think of this?
Speaker 2 (37:29):
The Packers are getting five primetime games as it stands
right now. They're going to get a Thursday night game
on al Michaels and Amazon coming up in week four.
Then they're at the Raiders on Monday Night Football. Then
they're going to get the Chiefs on Sunday Night later
in the year, the Giants on Monday Night later in
the year, and then the Viking second to last week
(37:49):
on Sunday Night Football.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
So as it stands right now, if they're.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Just going to flex out, you think so, let's yeah.
I totally that too. I said, this is looking like
a flex situation. Especially New Year's Eve against the Vikings,
feels like that could go that to it.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Green Bay's got one of the best fan bases nationally,
you know when they travel wherever they go like they've
got a very strong following. But I don't think that's
going to be the case if they struggle, and you've
got a really competitive NFC North in Minnesota won thirteen
games last year with the poor defense.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
You know, Detroit's up there too. Now is the betting favorite.
Speaker 5 (38:24):
I think Chicago got better this offseason. I just I
think you go could go through some growing pains too
with Jordan Love. So it's uh, I think they'll get
flexed out of it. I bet two of those later games.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
The other game on Christmas. This was announced yesterday that
it's going to be the Giants at the Eagles. So
we know two of the games on Christmas. We've got
Raiders Chiefs on Nickelodeon, and then we've got Giants at Eagles.
So I'm just curious what that third game on Christmas
Day is going to be. I'm curious what direction the
NFL goes.
Speaker 5 (38:55):
The interesting thing about the Christmas Day conversation, and we
skipped over this yesterday he probably got caught up in
some other things, is so ESPN, ABC, right, who also
owned the rights to the NBA, which they'll be producing
a game that day, and they're gonna be producing.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
A NFL game an NFL game. I look at that and.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
Think to myself, it's gonna be a stark contrast in
viewership because I don't think you're gonna get people who
because do they have the early game on Christmas Day?
Speaker 2 (39:28):
It depends on if it's Yeah, I think so, because
they do one on ABC as well too. I think
they do a couple of games on Christmas Day. ESPN does,
but not mistaken NBA.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
So whether it's one or two, I think the interesting
thing is they're going to be competing against themselves, right,
aren't they broadcasting the ESPN or ABC Christmas Day basketball game?
Speaker 4 (39:50):
Yeah? But I think I don't think they do all
of them. I think TNT gets to.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
Right er, right, but but but the point is is
TNT is not in the NFL, ESPN, ABC is, and
so you're gonna see a start contrast in the ratings
where depending on how the games shape out, like if
they are if they have an early game, people are
gonna tune in for that NFL game, yeah, and then
if they're gonna lead into one of the basketball games,
(40:14):
which is what you oftentimes try to do to kind
of carry that audience in to create a bigger rating,
I think you can get a lot of people change
the channel and you're gonna you're gonna see a significant
a significant drop off, and it's it's gonna look bad.
I mean, it's it's one of those things where it's
gonna kind of reveal I think the difference in the
NFL and the NBA. It's kind of like the secession.
(40:35):
Right If anyone watches that series, I'm not hesitating it.
Speaker 4 (40:39):
Oh really, I'm watching the two Oh cut it?
Speaker 5 (40:41):
Well, uh, you're cut up. Let So you saw the
season finale.
Speaker 11 (40:46):
Wait, that was the finale?
Speaker 3 (40:48):
This week?
Speaker 5 (40:49):
Wait this week the series finale, the series finale.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
No, that wasn't the series finale.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
I'm not saying series finale, the season finale.
Speaker 11 (40:58):
Well, this year, this is the last season, then I
don't think it's.
Speaker 5 (41:01):
The well anyway, Okay, well the point I'm trying to
get maybe maybe was the last episode that I saw.
You guys don't know. You should watch the series. It's great,
A lot of people will probably hit you.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Up because they've watched it.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
But the stock price drop, you know what I'm talking about, Like,
that's what you're gonna see in the rating drop treeen
NFL and NBA where you're like, oh, that was dad right,
Like it kind of a kind of a would like
apply here. You're gonna see a dramatic decrease in viewership
from that, and it's it's kind of an odd deal.
I think for ESPN, ABC they try to promote both
because it'll be a big day, but it's not gonna
be as big as it could be if they had
(41:33):
multiple NFL games.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
I find it hard to believe though they would they
would put an NFL game opposite one on ABC, one
on ESPN, do NFL on NBA, like they would stagger
that it feels like and who knows, maybe maybe they
get the early they put the NBA game on early.
Maybe Chiefs Raiders is the early game on Nickelodeon, and
then later at night ESPN runs that game and then
(41:57):
we get Joe Buck and Troy Aikman late at night.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
I'm just trying to understand what is the logic behind Nickelodeon.
Like I could see a simo cast. I could see
the simo cast, like where they were trying to make
it fun for the kids, like you had slime falling
on like the players and stuff like that. Like I
could understand simo casting it. But if you're saying they're
(42:21):
putting the game solely.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
No, it's gonna be on CBS as well too, You're
gonna have options as long as.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
It's a simo cast, I think. You know, to me,
I feel like you could have Nickelodeon on because I mean,
chances are it's like if you have kids that are
like Ropper Room kids like where they're in their playroom
in their playspace, and you got on like you know,
you know, they don't even have Cartoon Network anymore. I
(42:49):
don't even think that exists anymore. I think that they
close down. So if you have on a kid channel
and that kid channel happens to be Nickelodeon, and you're
just leaving it on that channel. You're still feeding this
younger generation of kids, boys and girls, this this idea
of liking football and in a less football like centric manner, right, Like,
(43:15):
it's not it's not focused in So it's more to me,
you're opening up your your gates and you're you're trying
to market to a different you know, to your next
your next generation of of football fans path athlete.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
And by the way, just to get back to the
TV conversation, so Fox is doing the four thirty game,
right did you? Did you announce that?
Speaker 4 (43:34):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (43:35):
So that's for sure the four thirty and then others
the one in.
Speaker 5 (43:37):
The A fifteen and so the one will either be
a CBS game, and then the eight to fifteen will
either be ESPN or NBC, so they will potentially, in
talking about ESPN, they would be placing those you know,
basketball games earlier in the day, which to me, you're
gonna have a really hard time competing with the likes
of what the NFL has drummed up. Which is what
(43:59):
I'm I'm kind of trying to portray is if it
does end up being an ESPN you know, night game,
you're gonna see this this low viewership and then I'm
a dramatic jump to that NFL game once people start
tuning in for it, as opposed to you know what
the rest of the day.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
Is going to look for the NBA is screwed, like
they have no chance on Christmas.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
There's no chance.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
It's just interesting because there's no other network that's involved
in both, and ESPN ABC obviously is, so it's it's
kind of a conflict.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
For them in some ways. Right as far as what
it's going to look like.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Now, speaking of ratings, if and again I'm not trying
to shame.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Anybody here or trying to hate on anybody here.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
I want to preface this by just just throwing out possibilities. If,
say your CBS, and you get the numbers after Christmas
Day and you see that there's significantly more people that
are watching the Nickelodeon game over the one that's featuring
Tony Romo on the broadcast with no bells and whistles,
like people getting slimed at the fifty yard line, you might.
Speaker 4 (44:59):
Have yourself litle bit of a problem. I think the
market may.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Have spoken on on Tony Romo and how we feel
about him just feels like, you know, there's there's a
lot out there. So if you were looking to get
Tony Romo but with a bunch of little gadgets to
go along with it.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
Raiders Chiefs on Christmas.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Day, a game that Berto may or may not be
watching based on based on his representation of the Raiders
earlier in this segment.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
So he's gonna be back too busy walking.
Speaker 4 (45:26):
Oh we're gonna what you mean?
Speaker 3 (45:31):
And then you just jumped on it so quickly. But
when that man said Tomali tomaly uh Eve you you was?
You was all in on him. And that's facts. Facts,
that's facts, homie.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Yeah, Berno, and I just celebrated Dia del Mare yesterday.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
Here we go, Yeah, there we go. All right, so
we do there you go.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio JKS Show.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
Are we on the JKS Show? Q? What I feel like?
I'm in the twilight zone.
Speaker 4 (46:10):
Yeah, we're gonna put you up on a little bit
of game.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
No, No, don't do that. That's passive aggressive. Ten dollars.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
Why is that ten dollars?
Speaker 3 (46:18):
Ten dollars?
Speaker 4 (46:20):
Uh, it's it's yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Even though Berto and Lee ain't even on the JKS show.
So how does that even work? You didn't bring them
to that show that how does that work?
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Because Lee's with Todd and Berto has a life, so
they're not here on Saturdays.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
So Lee doesn't have a life because Lee's with Todd. No,
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on better? Hey,
Birto or Lee? Did Jonas even ask?
Speaker 11 (46:46):
That's a negative? Me and Todd would show up you?
Speaker 8 (46:53):
Now?
Speaker 3 (46:53):
That is very interesting?
Speaker 4 (46:56):
No, you would not. First of all, Todd's not awake
by that. That's true.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
Todd is not And Lee's probably got an h O
A meeting because there's a flood in his place.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
So that's your fault.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Lee. Wait, passively talk your way out of them not
being on your show.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Jonas, Yeah, would not show up for that.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
Wait, Lee, are you? Are you the new HOA constrictor
Come on?
Speaker 11 (47:20):
I am pretty much doing most everything on the h.
Speaker 8 (47:25):
ON.
Speaker 11 (47:26):
We had a break in the other day.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
That was fun.
Speaker 11 (47:29):
We've had flooding, we had a gas leak this week.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
Dude, this is come full circle. I'm so proud of you.
Speaker 11 (47:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
Yeah, just saying like I was in for two years.
Speaker 5 (47:38):
We talked about that for a while. You're in the mix.
It's great, man, you get var. We didn't get LeVar
on an ho A board.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
What the same guy that's trying to get rid of
hiccups with with a paper towel and drinking water like that?
You like, now I'm saving.
Speaker 11 (47:54):
Money, saving money with those paper towels.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Let's see what solutions he comes up for for I
don't understand what is not doubt that?
Speaker 4 (48:02):
What is the.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Being on the h A board? Do you get like
a cut? Is it like do they wave half your fees?
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Get the flex? That's all?
Speaker 4 (48:11):
Well, just get the title.
Speaker 11 (48:14):
The girl wanted me to do it so that we
could like bend the rules and like do some construction
in the in our in our in our condo. That
might be bending the rules.
Speaker 5 (48:25):
You'd like to be in a position where you can
help shape policy. That's correct, You make advantageous towards you
is a.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Better way in putting. That's just I just hit you
out with the slang term or what what you just
you just hit you with the gringo term. I just
hit you with slang term. Ye like y'all like the flex?
Speaker 5 (48:43):
Yeah, but flexing flexing to me is more like walk round,
be like hey, by the way you see the patch
on my jacket.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Constriction of you gotta have well, you gotta have the
policy in place to be able to do it. Though
the flex is putting the policy in place and saying
you can't do this, you can do that or this
is how Well that's.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
The thing is you'd like not to actually have people
realize there's policies in place until they until.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
You're gone, you know, like you'd like them to not realize.
Speaker 5 (49:13):
There's certain things in place until after you leave, and
you're like, wait a second, who did this?
Speaker 3 (49:18):
And then you're gone and so you can't be blamed.
Now it's the next guy's problem.
Speaker 4 (49:22):
Zero entries being part of the ho A.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
Well, yeah, you shouldn't be. You definitely should be. There
should be. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (49:27):
Worst part is they like they want you to knark
on people. I'm just not about like let them. I
don't care if somebody breaks the rules, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
You have a few of all people like somebody if
somebody sifted through the coolers in your backyard.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
They go, hold on a second.
Speaker 11 (49:40):
Should we find this person?
Speaker 2 (49:42):
No, this guy's blasting Margueritaville at all hours of the day.
Speaker 11 (49:46):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Quick question Lee. Do you have alcohol served at every HOA?
Speaker 4 (49:50):
Meaning?
Speaker 11 (49:51):
Well, now it's zoom, it's all zoom. But I'm definitely
drinking during the HA meeting, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
Do you do super zoom? Why is it several of
bartender for cyber cyber meeting?
Speaker 11 (50:06):
It's California, Brady. We we do everything on zoom.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
I mean they've realized it's over right, it's all over.
It is over. Oh man, panic it is?
Speaker 2 (50:16):
I love this is well, yeah, of course I'm drinking.
It's an AJOI meeting. Why wouldn't I be. So that's
that's what you want implementing and getting policy done.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
Is the guy who's gotta got a bottle of gin
next to them?
Speaker 2 (50:27):
Is they're arguing over whether or not you can stay
in the pool past eight pm.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
That's fun, all right? So there it is.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Uh So that's a that'll wrap up our coverage of
the Christmas Day slate for the NFL, at least what
we know so far. Raiders Chiefs and Eagles Giants and
Raiders Chiefs is on Nickelodeon.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
So there's that.
