Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with Lamar Areas, Rady Quinn and Jonas Knocks on
Fox four Radio. We'd like to welcome blowouts in the NBA.
Back to the conversation again. Yet again, another double digit
win in the NBA Finals. The NBA has delivered yet

(00:23):
again last night all Golden State a nineteen point when
they even the NBA Finals at one game apiece. Uh,
and look, it wasn't an early blowout. It was a
game like it wasn't like it's almost like you're trying
to make it sound like it was snooze able third
quarter and really how it ended, I think Golden stated
and when a sixteen to run something like that, Steph

(00:46):
couldn't miss. I don't feel like Golden State really missed
on that stretch that was that was where the game
was essentially. Yeah, it just and it felt like once
it got to a certain point. And we've talked about this,
the Celtics are like, oh, they called it quits. The
call to the day like the strategy now in the NBA,
I feel like we've we've seen that for years throughout

(01:06):
the playoffs. When when you get down by double digits
and like really twenty and they get in the fourth quarter,
it's like, all right, the starters are both teams are
kind of sitting unless those backups can kind of bring
you back into it. But that's more of the strategy
more often than not. Is it not? The wildest thing though,
is he kept you know, Kirk kept his guys in

(01:26):
and he kept Draymond him for a while. He took
out stuff, he took out Step, but he kept out.
He kept Clay and to try to get clay man.
It must be a cover on top of the room
for Clay because Clay his legs look kind of flimsy.
It's not, it's not. It's not the Splash Brothers like
the splash and splash and splat right now because he

(01:50):
is not he got listen, they even we're talking about.
They kept him in the game to try to get
him going. He can't. He couldn't make he can't make shots.
He's like, I mean, he was missing bunnies. They they
were all missing bunnies last night. I mean, it was
it was an interesting game. You know. The cool thing
about it is, as you talk about you give your

(02:10):
your analysis on what you think is gonna take place.
And then you see that Golden State clearly study what
they needed to do. Draymond Green clearly went into the
Draymond Green, you know, dressing room and and brought the
Draymond Green out that that was going to dictate the game.

(02:32):
And and and it's it's interesting, do you guys think
that if they had gave him that second technical that
maybe we're having a different conversation about this series for
over unders? But probably not. See to me, I don't
know that they win that game at Draymond goes out
with that that second technical he had, he had a

(02:52):
clear motive and a clear understanding of what his responsibility was.
He did the entire yea and credit to him. He
was the guy who talked most about you know, they
can't do it again. Those guys can't repeat their performance.
And he came out and it looked like what Miami
did to Boston a couple of games. So they just
out physical them, and the Celtics had no response, and

(03:14):
things started getting chippy, and it was exactly what Draymond
Green called for. Can we get a round of applause
though for the NBA actually getting physical again? I enjoyed.
It was nice. It was nice. I've been I've been
clamoring for let's get physical, you know, get physical physical,
I mean physicals. It was kind of close saw elements

(03:41):
of that. Do you want to hear? Jalen Brown had
some comments, so he had a little, uh, you know,
the altercation with Draymond Green where you know the short
about pants. I think pants sounds better. I always said
it was the pants, and someone correct me and said,

(04:02):
it's just pants. You can go either way. You guys
looked it up and I was like, I've been saying
it wrong my entire life. You can use a lot
of people say deep pants, Well, a lot of people
say I think that might be more cultural. Deep pants
might be more cultural. Though it's your cultured Q. You
know what I mean, you're one of us. I mean
you think in Italy he's Italian. I mean, the guys,

(04:24):
what are you trying to say here? Don't take them
from us? Just every once you know, there you go,
every one, Every once in a while, we take one.
Who was the last one? Oh? Good today? Right now? LaVar?
Who was before that? I can't remember, it's been so long. Hey,

(04:44):
where is where is Jonas? Something. Come on, Johnson, I
don't know that he's on that about Lee. Lee's on
that list, all right, is on that list? Le can
roll with us. So Jalen Brown, Uh, this is uh?

(05:07):
Tell me when you spot the the dig that he
takes and Draymond Green sort of the the subtle jabby
takes it Draymond afterwards, explaining the altercation they had last night.
Back on the Draymond play, when you're kind of going
back and forth with him, are you aware that he
has one technical already? No, not really. I'm just trying
to play basketball, and I feel like that was an
illegal play. I feel like they could have called it,

(05:28):
but they let it go um in terms of a
technical on either way. But I don't know what I
was supposed to do. There be some good. He got
your their legs on on the top of your head
and then he tried to pull my pants down. I
don't know what that was about. But you know, that's
what Draymond Green does. He'll do whatever it takes to win.
He'll pull you, he'll grab you, he'll try to munk
the game up because that's what he does for their team.
It's not nothing to be surprised about. Okay, I think

(05:50):
the whole thing was a dig. What you make he
pulled my pants out. I don't know what that was about, honestly,
And coming to X he he was in a compromised
position and he knew he was, and that was how
he got up. It was really how he pulled himself up.
He used his bands to pull himself off. That's what

(06:12):
he did. He didn't get up after he pulled. Yes,
he did. He pulled himself up off the ground when
he pulled his bands. Yeah, he did on everything I promised.
I watched it, pulled himself up. Look, this is a tactic.
Let's be real about this. He's right, like, this is
what teams do. Oftentimes they try to get you know,
and they try to get your head in various ways.

(06:33):
And when you do something something like that, yeah, I
mean Jalen Brown went cold, especially fourth quarter. So I'm
just saying, like, look, if it works, it works. I
remember we were watching Clemson and I don't know if
it was Christian Parkinson. Yeah, he went, he went, He
went grabbing for for some ball bags and dude, it

(06:55):
got like people were like to wear pressure. The air pressure. Good,
h because you know, if it's hot, the don't want
anyone after that. I don't want anyone rubbing him to me,
those balls are perfect outside. But listen, I understand the tactic. Uh.

(07:21):
I refuse if my if my coach alluded to, Hey,
you know, when we're out there, you know, if you
need whatever you need to do to get an advantage,
that's not an advantage I'm wanting to participate in. Uh.
And And you know, based on you know, some of
the you know, the people that have come out of
Clempson and into the NFL just makes you wonder what
was going on there in general, and based on us

(07:42):
some other people that have been in the news. Look,
I don't knock Draymond Green for doing it, but it
is kind of funny that I'll pose a question this way.
If he didn't have a technical, would they have called
him for a technical in that play? And see? And
that's kind of weird, right honestly, honestly, they should have
called it the technical there. I mean, he put it,
he put his foot, he put his lag on it.

(08:03):
The man's head. That was what started the whole thing.
He first of all, Draymond was trying to take him
to the ground all game. If you notice, early on
it was like I'm I'm I'm getting into these dudes
bodies and every chance I can get, I'm gonna take
dudes down to the ground. He literally had like three
or four takedowns like literally, and when he went down
with Jalen Brown, he like flopped on him like that

(08:27):
was like the follow through of the flop on top
of him to begin with, what's technical foul worthy? That
that in itself was technical, That's that's like taking a
quarterback and driving him into the ground. That like it's
the equivalent of that. Then he puts it. He puts
his lag at his feet on top of the man
like he basically I'm laying on the court and I'm

(08:50):
na rest my feet on your head like like that.
Like there's there's certain things that you have on your
ultimate disrespects list. You don't let Like you don't want
another man to slap you. You don't want somebody to
spit in your face. Like there's there's certain things that
you just don't allow. I gotta believe a dude that

(09:10):
knocks you down while you're shooting and then rest his
legs and his shoes on your head and your neck
has to be on that list of that's that's two district.
You've become like an ottoman, you know, like no one
wants to be like everyone talks about a doormat. Well,
the other thing that that is an ottoman. You do
not want to becoming autumn. So you don't think that

(09:31):
that's kind of I don't I don't want to save
the game. But it doesn't matter if it's dirty. There's
been players who've been like that forever. Listen. I just
I do think the conversation's funny. But it would have
been called it would have been a double chad easily.
So they're basically deciding how to Like they're picking and

(09:51):
choosing when to make a call that that we I
think can all agree it would have been called a
technical if not for previous one he had already received.
So they're doing what they can to make him. I
loved the call. I love the way that they played it.
They're they're aware of that he had a second technical.
Like the thing about it is, here's the thing, right,

(10:14):
and everybody alludes to it, they talk about it. Draymond
is an agitator, not only to the other players. He's
a he's an agitator to itself, and he's an agitator
to the referees like he like for if you take
another player and that other player gets into the referees
faces and touch to the referees the way Draymond Green

(10:37):
talks to those referees, they're getting technical fouls. They don't
they just you would have to give Draymond. You know
who was like that and they gave them technicals was
Rashid Wallace. They gave him the text. But but here's
the thing. They actually gave Rashid the text. They don't

(11:00):
really give Draymond text like he really like he earns
the text that he gets like he earns them. And
he could have got he could have gotten several texts
after the first one or before the first one that
could have got him out of there, just about the
way he interacts with with the referees and some of

(11:22):
the antics of what he does with the players. Do
you think Draymond Green is gonna get thrown out of
a game in the in these finals? But he might
have He he might have to. I think I might
have to because I think the league is gonna they're
looking at this go on We can't justify this if
it would have been called a people. Yeah, he can't
just put his feet up on folks, act like he's

(11:44):
watching you know, the Sunday Sports. I mean, he might
as well just crossed his feet, you know what I mean,
Like he had them both sitting there, the big old
feet on that man's head net. Could you imagine if
he had crossed out before the next game and like
a robe and some slippers that would started and just
put his feet up. It was like, I'm gonna do
it to the rest of him on his walkthrough though,
Like just came out on his walk through the court

(12:06):
in Boston with a robe and and and some slippers
on man. Luck, good luck. I mean, he's in their
heads now. The question is now, we talked about it.
We knew that they were going to adjust and create
a game. Plague give them all the credit in the world.
They did something that I didn't think they'd be capable
of doing, which was out defense the Boston Celtics. They

(12:29):
out defense them, They beat them on the defensive side
of the court. But but then secondly, then secondly, you
allowed the one guy that you knew was gonna come
out and be the way that he was. You allowed
him to execute and do what it is that he
wanted to do. And Draymond Green like, as, I mean,
give him credit. So now Kim Boston go back and

(12:49):
do the same exact thing and adjust and adapt to
what they just got from them, because they still don't
have Wiggins did not play well. Um, Clay Thompson did
not play well. He showed up in other ways though
that's fair. That's fair to me, Like he doesn't have
to score it ton of points, as long as you
get some rebounds plays, good defense kind of helps facilitate
a little bit, Like I don't you know, it's not

(13:10):
about him. To me, it's more about Steph. Steph continues
to go off the way he can, and you have
others who can pitch in. I mean, it's got to
a point where like Steph becomes like I think when
he gets hot, it almost becomes contagious. We're like when
Jordan Pool came in, you watched him shooting, You're like,
he's got this like he's feeling it too, Like it's
almost like a vibe. And and I don't know why

(13:32):
class And felt that vibe. But um, the reality is
to me, What was fascinating is we kind of made
it about the shooting of Boston. I mean, Draymond was right,
He's like, they're not gonna shoot as well again the
next game, Like that's just that's just the status. But
think about this, I think about this. They both made
the same amount of threes. They both took the same

(13:54):
amount of threes. We everyone keeps act liking the three
point shot and the the amount of a tempts and
the way teams now strategized has ruined the NBA. Last night,
it didn't play a role either way. It didn't play
a role in the outcome of that game. Golden State
was just better, flat out defending the mid range, defending

(14:15):
the rim all that. They were just flat out better.
They didn't make more free throws, they didn't make more threes.
They were just better overall, not only defensively playing better,
but finding ways of getting to the rim, find ways
of defending the rim. Like it was. I don't want
to stay closer to old school basketball, because when you're
shooting with seventy four attempts from three, like that's not
what it used to be. But it's it's a large

(14:37):
departure from what it was in Game one when you're
over the eighty attempt mark right, at least in my opinion.
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Errington and
Jonas Knocks week days at six am e staring three
am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app. You must have Rusty Hart and is one

(14:59):
of your your representatives? Man, some of the things I
hear you say, bro, uh well, kind of an interesting
weekend for Rusty Harden and the Deshaun Watson situation and
uh and all of that I don't know. And he
clearly doesn't listen to our show, because had he listened
to our show, he would have heard you, like repeatedly

(15:23):
put it on the table as to what the clarity
of what the scenario or situation could have been or
called for. And he went ahead and put is it
two ft in his mouth? He might have put his
feet Yeah he did. He did a Raymond Green, Yeah

(15:45):
he did. He definitely did so. And uh this is
uh so Rusty Harden, just so we can hear it
and uh and just try and figure out what the
hell he was thinking and and you know, assuming that
this would be okay and nobody would freak out about it.
He was on with Payne and Pendergrass Pendergast in Houston

(16:07):
on Friday, uh in an interview, and he decided to
finish the interview by saying this, which led to all
sorts of problems for Deshaun Watson on the PR front. Afterwards,
I don't know how many men are out there now
that have had a massage that perhaps occasionally there was

(16:30):
a happy ending. I do want to point out if
it has happened, it's not a crime. Unless you are
paying somebody extra or so to give you some type
of sexual activity, it's not a crime. So he uh,
you know, tried to clarify his statement afterwards, saying, well,
you know, hypothetical and uh and all that. And then

(16:50):
you know, Tony Busby, the lawyer representing all of the women,
which by the way, there's a twenty four case expected
to be filed coming up later on today, so we've
gone from twenty two to twenty four in a week. Um.
And then Tony Buzzby afterwards said, well, these comments absolutely
will be used against Rusty Harden Um. You know, he
may have single handedly lost his client his case. There, Uh,

(17:14):
just the whole situation. I don't know why he thought
to even go down that road or why to even
throw that out there called canceled culture, and that that
might have been the most paid for private jet, private
accommodations of travel for groups to come to the table

(17:37):
in droves and enforce Rusty Harden take a bow. You
might be the most historical d bag to bring canceled
culture towards Deshaun Watson. But that's that's that's how bet
those statements were. You know what it is, though, I
actually don't think he brings canceled culture towards him. I

(17:59):
think it's almost like if if you were a part
of people who are actually out there supporting minority owned businesses,
like actually trying to do good in the world, actually
trying to um create more equality, you should be ridiculously
offended by this, Like this is the kind of stuff

(18:19):
that holds us back as a society and a culture.
When you have someone who's who is basically laughing in
your face, like here's the here's the reality of this.
Rusty Hardens either going senile and we're like witnessing it
all happen, or he thinks everyone's stupid and they're just
gonna get away with this like it's one of those

(18:40):
two things, because there's not really a third option that
makes any sense. So I don't know any option that
makes any sense for him to come out his face
with something like that. By the way, so they did
say initials thrown out there that the five thousand dollars
that he gave to a Yeah, that that he gave
to at the owner of a of a massage therapy.

(19:03):
I don't even know what you want to calm, but
the five thousand dollars Deshaun Watson gave them to the
spa owner that he was, you know, doing it to
try and help them out financially. So Leah Graham, who's
also one of Watson's attorneys, came out and said that
the reason he gave the five thousand dollars now is
because Deshaun was very inspired to help black businesses. That

(19:24):
is one example of the numerous contributions he's made to
various black businesses around Houston end. Quote. So so now
that they're going now that you didn't say any other businesses,
did she? Uh, No, there were no specifics of that
those businesses, and no disrespect, there's five thousand dollars really
gonna move the needle for a spa. I mean, that
might help maybe for a month at least whatever, But

(19:47):
why does he invest you know, what does he what
does he be a you know, a limited partner, you know,
silent owner and invest into it if really wants to
support the business, you know, having a hand out here
there that's not gonna support it long term. You know what,
if we're being real about it. What else kind of
bothered me about Rusty Hart and and and and his
comments and exactly kind of right down the lane of

(20:07):
what you're talking about, Q, is the idea of you're
not only diminishing those those companies by you know, painting
it in that light and and in that manner, but
you're diminishing those young ladies as well, you know, And
I think that should be stated, whether for right or
for wrong, in terms of who did what, the idea

(20:29):
of trying to justify that way for somebody that you know,
and and in the cases of where they were professionals
that were there, you're diminishing that person and what they're professional,
you know, what their duties are, and what it is
that they get up to do every day. And I
just think that that was I think that's poor. That's
poor to basically diminish a person to the point of

(20:51):
where you could just say, you know what, like, who
hasn't who hasn't approached getting a happy ending from their
massage therapist, like I've never I've never gotten happy, Like
let me be the first one to tell you, and
I had this conversation during the weekend. I'll be the
first one to tell you, I've never crossed a line
of professional courtesy and professionalism when receiving services getting a massage,

(21:14):
and I've not gotten many in my days. But still, nonetheless,
there would have never been one time where out of
actually tried to insinuate to the massage therapists that we
should do more than what it is that we were
doing it. Why even why even say the term out
loud like everybody understands what all this is is. It

(21:35):
makes it seem like he's trying to justify why something
did happen, and it's trying to get ahead of it.
He tried he thought he was getting ahead of it
because that was something that was stated. It keeps going
back to the initial point though, if he's admitting to
if that's what the intent was, and not to get
into the deep die of of the legal ease of

(21:56):
all this, but one of the things that I'll be
curious to see is if if they look at each
trial individually, all twenty four civil suits, or if they
allow the other suits to play a role in each
each suit, if that makes sense. So if you're looking
at trying to create a pattern, or if you're looking
at trying to say, hey, there was an intent to

(22:18):
solicit essentially prostitution or sexual acts like that was there
was a pattern here with all these women, that's the
common nominator. If you're able to prove that utilizing all
other twenty three lawsuits once they is filed, that's gonna
be hard to overcome for Deshaun Watson and Rusty hard
And and they're legal team. I just I would imagine

(22:41):
people on the outside or in the professional of law
are are witnessing this going. He just needs to stop talking, YEA,
he just needs to shut up. I thought he I
thought he was good like isn't that why he got hired?
He represented Roger Clemens and somebody else. I thought it
was good that that's yeah, like I and and to
your point, like I, I wonder if he's just maybe

(23:02):
lost a step, so to speak, and and maybe we're
just seeing sort of him unravel professionally with with with
the more that he talks and the like, I don't
like it is so ill advised, like so I would
I would almost if I were to Shaun Watson, I
don't know if this is you know, too far down
the road, like I would consider like changing up like
who represents with or something like damage has been done.

(23:24):
Damage has been done, man, I mean that that is
crazy and then that damage was so bad. If I'm
Desaun Watson, I issue a statement saying that this man
is not speaking on like, he's totally out out of
out of my team, off my team, he's out of
our loop. This did not represent me this that you

(23:44):
know what, I wonder maybe Russe and Hart and Rusty
Harden smart enough to where he feels like this is
a sinking ship and he doesn't feel like he can.
I thought the same thing that he's almost I thought
the same thing because it was so egregiously bad that
I thought, maybe this is intentional because I can't imagine
a guy with his reputation would take this approach. Like

(24:06):
we talked about Amber Heard's attorneys and people were just
sort of like laughing and how ineffective and bad they
were at their job. This is like almost on par
like what are you doing, dude, Like you're bringing up
happy endings like in a case like this is what
everybody was trying to hide behind. He's supporting a minority only. Yeah,
it's like that was more what I was alluding to, Like,

(24:29):
don't don't take away from all the people who are
actually doing that, who are actually trying to create more equality,
and sit there and say, like a five thousand dollars
that that was what he was doing. Really, Like again,
that's what you should be frustrated by if you're a
minority owned business and you hear that crap and you
actually need help and you're not looking for like some

(24:50):
excuse as to why you're trying to cover up trying
to use a spa as a brothel. More or less,
you know, there are there are businesses owned uh non
minority and minority people that could actually help him out
with what it is he was trying to get helped
out with that. I mean, I'm just saying, you know,
I made a fifty cent made a song about it.

(25:13):
I think it was called p I MP you know
what I mean? You know what shop that's one too.

Let's go to the news. Gass. Here's Brady Quinn. YEA, well,
we all know how gass prices are high right now.
But there's actually, uh, there's a there's a spot the
village of Is it a mendocino or mendocino has that

(26:21):
you pronounce it? I don't know, it's a hundred sent
five miles north of San Francisco. They're charging nine sixty
good god, sixty eight gallon of gas. I filled up
the other nights hundred dollars off in Mendocino or that right.

(26:45):
People do know how to do that. I'm not the
guy from over the top people keep but if these
gas prices keep going up, people are going to start
siphoning off the sucking off gas, sucking that gas, sucking gas.
It's gonna be a thing. That's all the generations. Kids
are gonna be doing it. Oh man, everybody's doing it. Man, Yeah,
everyone's sucking gas. Yeah, I stole It's gonna be a

(27:08):
thirty six. It's gonna be like you walk it off
that plane coming out of that guy stuff. Yeah, I know,
breath man's going. Yeah, are you a suspect? You guys?
Do you know? Like I made it through There was
a tropical cyclone that came through South something like that. Yeah,
I don't get that. Kept I kept thinking, you guys

(27:31):
are a drought though, Yeah, we are in a drought
going on. I really have mosquitoes, to which I wash
doesn't have. They are the worst. My ankles get it
right now as we speak. Because you don't smoke cigarettes.
You smoke cigarettes, mosquitoes won't get you. There you go everyone, everyone, No, No,

(27:51):
I'm just saying like that. That's I heard that advice.
I don't worry about the kids, which I'm not. I'm not.
I'm not saying go get marble chimney I can avoid.
That was one of the rumors I heard that if
you smoke cigarette you're less likely to get People were around.

(28:15):
This is what I heard. Anyway, I would a segue
off that before I get in trouble. Um. So yeah,
we actually took off like through the middle of it somehow.
There's no delays nothing. Our pilot found like a like
a sweet spot and made it to the storm anyway.
There was a ton of flooding, though so South Florida
in particular Miami received about a foot of rain, which

(28:38):
led to so much flooding. There was overflows of sewage
to the point where they issued a no swim warning
on a lot of the beaches because of potential sewage
that was emptying out everywhere. But if you go search
you'll find some pretty fun videos of the clubgoers who
decided to go out throughout the storm Friday and Saturday

(29:00):
night and literally walking outside to their cars floating and
having to and very uh minimal clothing push their cars
or get their cars towed during all these floods in Miami.
It got that bad. Oh, it's well, yeah, I mean
there's there's some issues in general, just as far as

(29:21):
the elevation is not raising streets more and some of
the the wastewater and sewage drainage. It got bad. It
got really bad. Cars floating and crap, water brickle, underwater,
people walking out in their you know, apartments and just
being flooded. It's terrible. Good luck to you guys out there, yeah, yeah,

(29:43):
to try to stay out of s. Keep your mask on, please. Yeah.
