This is I'll kick the coverage here on Fox Sports Radio.

way up until nine am Eastern times six o'clock Pacific,

(00:49):
and we will do so with a man who finally
decided he wanted to come back to work, none other
than Brady Quinn. Oh, I see how it is. It's
a it's a Monday morning, and this is the warm
well to come that I get from my co host,
the one Jonas. I'm sorry, I was working last week, okay,
trying to figure out what in the hell is going

(01:09):
on with college football, which we'll get into that at
some point later on in today's show. But I'm not
the only NFL quarterback who decided to show up today
or decided to show up recently. There's someone else, so
I think fits into that category that we're maybe a
bit surprised by. Yeah, well, listen, all sirius and all seriousness,
happy to have you back. I know you were doing
a great work out there at Notre Dame with your

(01:31):
foundation and all that, so we're happy it was a
success and we aren't glad to have you back. Speaking
of glad to be back, I don't know if Deshaun
Watson is glad to be back as the Houston Texans quarterback.
But there he was Brady Quinn. Deshaun Watson has reported
to Texans training camp. This has been a story that
has gone on and on. How How much different is

(01:52):
this story from several months ago when it was Deshaun
Watson is the victim of that organization has done nothing
but wrong him. Uh, And then it was he wants
to be traded, He's got to get out, and then
you know, you know, fifty to sixty massage therapists come
out and say that, you know, maybe he's a little
bit of an issue there and Deshaun Watson. We weren't
sure what was gonna happen from the NFL standpoint. Apparently

(02:13):
he does not want to be fine fifty thou dollars
a day, and who would So he's decided I'm gonna
show up to Texas training camp. But reportedly the trade
demand is still there. He doesn't want to be at
the Houston Texans quarterback, but he is there at Texans
training camp, and he reported on Sunday, Well, the truth
of the matter is is he's gonna need all the
money he can get, especially if these suits, which might

(02:36):
I add our civil suits reach a settlement, you know,
he will be paying them. I would imagine, uh, millions
of dollars potentially, at least it's safe to say that
combined for all twenty two civil lawsuits that are currently
filed by their attorney, Tony Buzzby. So he's going to
need all the money he can get because even though

(02:56):
he received a large portion when he signed the extent
and all that, there's still a good chance that this
is gonna cost him a lot of money. So he
doesn't need the Houston Texans trying to find him, or
the NFL for the c b A and him not
showing up or quote unquote holding out if you will,
since he's under contract, he can't afford that right now,

(03:18):
so he's doing I guess I would say that the
financially the smart thing. Now the awkward part is how
does the organization handle him when he's there. Is he
going to practice? Is he gonna just kind of stand
around and claim there's an injury? And I don't even
know if it's going to go that far, because I
think by him showing up what he did, which and

(03:40):
this is smart considering his situation and circumstances, is not
only will he not face that fine, but it also
forces the NFL to take action because they've got a
player who's now visible, who's able to be interviewed by
the media, that's gonna be out there every single day
with this hanging over his head, and it forces the

(04:02):
NFL to have to take action. And if he does
get put on the commissioners an exemple list, he's still
paid and the and the key point about that is
even if he doesn't want to play with the Texans,
and this is all just an act to save money.
It accomplishes that goal. So that's really the key Here's
he is able to save from being fined, save for

(04:24):
potentially having to settle all these civil lawsuits against them,
and meanwhile force the NFL to give some clarity. So
if he wants to get out of Houston, I think
it would help if there was a little more clarity
based on what the NFL is gonna do considering his actions.
So all those things of mouth to him deciding to

(04:45):
eat his words and come back. It's the only play
he had left in the playbook. I mean, what the
hell is the NFL waiting on? Like seriously, like what
are we doing here? And we've been talking about this
for a while, and and we kept saying weeks ago,
hey Man training camps in a month, hey Man training
camps in three weeks? Is the NFL gonna step up?

(05:05):
Hey training camp is right around the corner. At some
point this becomes a reality and and and part of
the conversation, And here we are he reports to training camp,
and this story is still hanging out there. I mean,
what what are we doing here? Like the Trevor Bauer
situation and Major League Baseball. Major League Baseball got on
it right away, and that's a players union you want

(05:25):
no part of when when it comes to negotiating or
dealing with They've got it on it right away, and
Bauer hasn't been seen for weeks. Like they took care
of it right away. The NFL is still dragging their
feet on this whole thing. What are we doing here?
There has to be something that obviously they know that
we don't know, and I don't know if it has
to do with what they're being told from, you know,

(05:47):
the the judical judicial system, with with how this case
is being presented, or you know, maybe if if it
will be thrown out all together, if there's not enough.
I'm not sure what it is that that's the only
thing that can come to mind. And maybe they're potentially
worried about taking a wrong step and being sued one
way or another, you know, being sued either by Tony

(06:08):
Buzzby and the twenty two different women who are accusing
Deshaun Watson of all this, or maybe they're being you know,
a concern about what could happen between Deshaun Watson the NFL.
P A suing the NFL for how they go about
handling this. I really don't know. I'm not I'm not
a legal expert, but at this point, there's no explanation

(06:28):
considering the allegations, considering the history of how the NFL
has handled these issues, it doesn't make any sense right
now why they have not put him on the exempt list.
And it only hurts the innocent bystander, which is the
Houston Texans. That's who it hurts the most in this situation. Yeah,

(06:49):
the Texans have been put in a in a terrible
spot because they can't you know, they can't move forward
with their lives, so to speak, because they don't have
a clear understanding as to what's going to happen with
the Shawn Watson. And it's hurt the ability to trade
him because if you're a team out there trying to
make a move or you're interested in acquiring Deshaun Watson,
you have no idea what the punishment's gonna be. You

(07:10):
don't know if he's going to be available this year.
My guess is, and we talked about this, look probably
suspended six games. I mean, if they find something and
and he gets popped for conduct detrimental, what is the player? Uh,
Code of Conduct? Is that what it is like the
player conct Yeah, and and so we've seen Ezekiel Elliott
got popped I think was a six games a couple

(07:31):
of years ago for for something off the field. If
you're in if you're a team looking to make a
move for a quarterback, how the hell can you pull
the trigger on this if you have no idea what
the punishment's gonna be. So let's put it's put the
Texans in a bad spot because they can't get a
deal done. Yeah, I think I think you could put
in place at least that the terms softly. And I
know there's been some teams that have been thrown out

(07:53):
there in the mix who would potentially have interest. Um,
I just think, look, any team that's gonna give up
a significant amount of picks, which I am sure that
Houston Texans want in return for a franchise quarterback, at
least when you look at what Deshaun Watson can do
on the field. I don't know that anyone's disputing that.
It really comes down to, though, you know how this

(08:14):
legal process could play out, what the NFL is going
to do, And until there's any sort of clarity, the
only thing I can imagine is you would have this,
you would have a few different options of what can
take place. So you basically have a trade in the
event that Deshaun Watson gets put on the player exemplist,
you have a trade terms that would would encompass a

(08:36):
six game suspension. You have trade terms that they want
to compass. Hey, they settle, this whole thing goes away.
The NFL decides not to do anything. They've done their
investigations and they believe that, you know, this whole thing,
uh was a sham. All right. Maybe there's that third
scenario where somehow, miraculously nothing at all happens with Deshaun Watson.
Then there's trade terms for that. So that's the only

(08:59):
thing I can imagine that between teams that are looking
at this situation, who are calling Nick Kissario at the
Houston Texans their general manager, they have to be saying
to him, here's the scenarios, here's what we have to
offer you, okay, and this is how we're gonna break
it down. And until there's more clarity, we can't execute
any one of these. So once again it comes down

(09:20):
to the NFL and then dragging their feet, and I'm
not sure if it's because it's the beginning of the
season and they don't want this to look bad as
they head into it. This to be the lead story,
even though it's kind of interesting considering this is one
of the faces of the NFL, this is one of
the young budding stars, and you could have addressed it
months ago, but instead you let it get to this point.

(09:41):
So there's got to be an unknown that we're not
aware of, where maybe the NFL, based on their investigation,
is questioning the integrity of all those you know, alleged
victims and what they're claiming about Deshaun Watson, because otherwise
they would have already acted by now. But if if
the Texans were Hard Knocks, I'll bet you money he

(10:02):
would have already been put on the Commissioner's example list, guaranteed.
If they were the team featured on Hard Knocks, having
to see that and have it play out on national television,
I guarantee you he's already on the Commissioner's example list, guaranteed.
Put money on that. How about that. Find a betting
line on that, Brady Quinn, Mr Sports Book, Mr Odds Maker,
find a betting line on that? How about that for
a hot take on a Monday. Huh, that's about as

(10:25):
hot as it gets. I'm not find hots make with
that out there. Um, you do bring up a good point,
because the reality is, I mean, the NFL is hoping
this gets into the regular season or even the presears,
and then then everyone's just gonna be like kind of
turning pit, kind of like we did with COVID last year.
It's like, once we started, remember all the all the
bad out there was like, no, we can't have a season, no, no,

(10:48):
and then the NFL is able to pull it off,
and then the Super Bowl and everything like. But as
soon as we started playing games, there was still that
like woke media who didn't want it to happen, who
wanted to be right right. They want to be like, no,
I'm the one who said it would be doomsday. We
can't have a season. We had a season. We had
a Super Bowl. We crowned the Tampa Bay books and

(11:09):
fans and attendance at the Super Bowl. By the way,
I was there, I was president there working. Trust me,
you can say thirty thousand. There might have been a
heard thousand around the entire stadium everywhere else. I digress.
They were able to pull it all off. Once we
got into this season, it became this this almost like
it was a train on tracks and it wasn't stopping.

(11:30):
And that's how the NFL operates. And we can get
into the the vaccinated versus the non vaccinated policy for
players at some point, because there is something that like
everyone's missing the point of all this, and I'll tell
you exactly what it is. But the NFL was is
running this train. They don't not They're not gonna be stopped.
And so even in this situation, they're just saying, let's

(11:50):
just get to the season. Let's just get to the season.
Once we get to games, everyone forgets about all this
stuff off the field and they focus on what's happening
on the field. And that's the the explanation I can
think of as to why they've continued to drag their
feet about this. Brady quinn Jonas knocks here on Fox
Sports Radio, I want I want to hear some other
show here all around sports talk radio and then the

(12:10):
sports media landscape go twelve minutes without bringing up the
word vaccine today. Try it, I dare you, nobody else
could we just did? How about that twelve minutes before
we brought up the word vaccine. But we'll get into
all of that disaster, fiasco, drama, and everything else that
goes along with it coming up later on in the show.
We're gonna take you all the way up until nine
am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific right here on fs ARE.

(12:31):
Coming up next though, there is the story in the NFL.
We've got more details, more rumors, and the deadline is near.
We're gonna have the very latest for you. That's next year.
Jonas knocks Brady Quinn. I'll kick the coverage right here
in Fox Sports Radio. This is I'll kick the coverage

(12:53):
fifteen minutes from now here on fs ARE. We have
got ourselves a new detail on a very very big
discussion in the NFL. We've got a new detail and
what could be a massive move in the National Football
League very very soon. That coming up here in about
fifteen minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio. So um

(13:16):
lost in the Tim Tebow Trevor Lawrence discussion in Jacksonville,
where Trevor Lawrence is now the face of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Urban Meyer also part of that discussion, your former co
host on Big newon Kickoff, who's now the head coach there.
You've also got Tim Tebow trying to make the roster
as a tight end. Lost in all of that is

(13:38):
maybe our favorite story of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that
is one none other than Gardner Minshew who was still
on the roster, still there at quarterback, and he was
on with Chris Long the podcast in which you know,
Chris Long has the green Light Podcast, and um, Gardner

(13:59):
Minshew had the following money quote and I'm calling it
the quote of the year thus far. Uh in preparation
for the quarterback competition, I haven't taken an s in weeks.
Number two isn't an option for me. So that is
a commitment to your craft, Brady Quinn. That is fully committed.

(14:21):
He hasn't apparently taken a dump in weeks because number
two is not on the menue. I love it, I
absolutely I love Gardener. He's got some Alzheimer's um and
it's here's the thing, like, in all seriousness about his

(14:43):
chance of making the roster, they need him. He's got
NFL experience, as you know, as a starter. If Trevor
Lawrence gets hurt, if there is any other issue where
Lawrence could ploy, you can bring Minshew in. I think
with the way they've continued to build the roster now
Urban Meyers taken over, he'd do a good job. Um,

(15:03):
he's not gonna be the caliber of quarterback that Trevor is,
but he's a better option. And look, he's a better
option than Tebow. Okay, because here's what happens if you
try to to go the whole route of well, let's
trade Minshew. We don't want him to be a backup.
You know, we'll get some value back form. Let's have
Tubo be the backup an emergency situations. Look, the entire

(15:24):
offset offense changes. Okay, he can't throw the football anywhere
close to Lawrence or Gardner Minshew. The whole idea that
he was brought on to be a tight end that
goes to the wayside, and so the whole, the whole
reason of why he's there falls apart, and it looks
like it looks like this effort where Urbans trying to
get him there to have him start and play games.

(15:44):
So the truth of the batter is I don't see
that being how this plays out. I think they know
they need someone behind Lawrence that has some starting experience.
He's beloved in the locker room for these kind of
quotes and different shenanigans. The kid works his tail off.
I hope they don't try to trade him, and especially
not if it's just all about a jersey number, just

(16:05):
so Tebow could have number fifteen that I didn't even
think about that. Oh gosh, if that happens, like that's
when you know, like it's it's it was all for
not like what this was really about. And I'm still
not so sure that we don't know that about the
Tebow signing. Um. Look, I I was watching a I
forget it was a game from last year. I think, yeah,

(16:26):
last year. I forget which game it was, but there
was a game that was being phenomenal. He was phenomenal
Week one. Yeah, and you watch some of Minshew's games, Dude,
there's a spot for him in this league. Like, there's
absolutely a spot for Gardner Minshew in the league. I
actually I thought he played and let's call it what
it is, he outplayed Nick Foles. After Nick Foles got

(16:47):
that contract, nick Foles got hurt, and Gardner Minshew was
thrown into the starting lineup in that game the opener again,
I think it was Agains the Chiefs, I think yes,
And he was thrown thrown as a rookie and the
guy played well, and and it was almost like they
were looking for a reason to get Nick Foles back in,
because you remember Minshew had that game in London where

(17:09):
he didn't play all that well and he threw the
late pick and all of a sudden, Folds was put
back in. But they ended up going back to Minshew
later on because he was the best quarterback on the roster.
So this this idea that well, you know, yeah, it's
Gardner Minshew, and I think some people sort of scoff
at it. Dude, he's had really good performances in the NFL. No,
he's capable of if he was in a better situation

(17:31):
than what he was kind of birthed into in the NFL.
You know, his career had probably be at a different point.
But if you look at his rookie season stats and
what he did at that time with that roster, it
was it was pretty it was pretty significant. I mean
you could almost made a case where if they were
a team that was at a winning record, you might
look at it more seriously as maybe a Rookie of
the Year candidate, But because of their team record, because

(17:54):
of how that all worked out, it wasn't gonna it
wasn't gonna work that way. The truth of the matter is,
and I got to call some games towards the end
of that year. You know that that team needed his
skill set because he can move around a little bit better,
and he kind of provided a spark to them, you know,
even though they struggled, he still you know, provided more
than Nick Foles than at that time. But you know, now, look,
this is Trevor Lawrence's team. It's just it's more about

(18:16):
what they would have if he gets hurt, and it's
not like Trevor Lawrence has been hurt before. They should
think about keeping a guy like him, with his experience
and a guy that could come in with a hot hand,
that kind of has that that kind of attitude. Like
this guy, he's willing to go without having a bowel
movement for weeks because number two is not an option.
You're telling me you don't want that guy on your team.

(18:39):
He could join our show anytime if he wants to
come on be a part of this. I would, I
would gladly accept a guy that's willing to forego one
of your most basic, you know, human aspects of your life. Okay, yeah, yeah,
let me tell you something like you you can't go
you know, three commercial breaks without you know, sitting down
and reading reading. I got a fast speaking of after

(19:02):
you ate all that ice cream. You know, you're having
all sorts of issues. I mean, I don't want to,
you know, peel back the curtains too much. Yeah again,
not too much here, but you're having all sorts of
issues in that department. Yeah, I'm doing in the show
from the bathroom right now. I'm looking at the plunger,
so I'm staring right now on a plunge. I actually heard.
I heard Little Bertie told me that you wanted to
make the declaration on Live here to Scotch Shapiro that

(19:24):
you're not gonna go number two until you get this
show full time. That's what I heard. Yeah, well, let
me tell you something. If we were planning on getting
the show full time, this segment just pretty much ended.
Move right along, it's OutKick the Coverage. Brady Quinn Jonas
knocks our three. Next, this is outkicked the Coverage. Hey,

(19:53):
it's me Rock Parker. Check out my weekly MLB podcast,

from now here on fs ARE, we are going to
have another edition of the Scraps. Some things in the
world of sports we have not had a chance to
get too, so they will be yours here coming up
less than ten minutes from now on fs ARE. By

(20:36):
the way, I want to let you know we are
brought to you by Discover here on out Kicked the
Coverage and Brady Quinton. We are trying to discover what
the hell is going to happen with Aaron Rodgers and
the Green Bay Packers, because at some point, at some point,
he's got to show up or not show up, and
we're gonna get some clarity on the situation. But I'm
gonna go out on a limb. Here, I'm gonna call

(20:58):
my shot. Aaron Rodgers will report the Packers training camp.
You will see Aaron Rodgers at Packers Training camp riding
around on one of those dumb bikes. Whatever that tradition
is they do their at Packer training camp. He will
be there. Number twelve will be there at camp and
he will show up within the next forty eight hours.
I think the bike thing is like a tradition, has

(21:19):
to do with like kids, different things around around the community.
It's it's kind of kind of mean. Man. I'm just
saying if I would have done that, I wouldn't have
said it. So you should have pressed the better from
what ever? Do you want me? What do you what
do you think they just dropped off a bunch of
random bikes for those guys to ride to practice and back.
I mean, you know that to maybe you know, the
Tour de France, you know rejects, you know, say listen,

(21:40):
like maybe it's one of those things to where like
when when the team is a Super Bowl they send
the T shirts over to like, uh, you know somewhere
like you know maybe maybe, yeah, maybe the you know,
the bikes they don't use the Tour de France, they
send a Lambeau is gonna You're gonna fit on one
of those speed bikes anyway. Um, I'm with you. I

(22:03):
think he's gonna show up. But but I think the
Packers have a problem. I think they have a real
problem on their hands. You know, aside from Rogers what
became a parent as Davante Adams and his camp has
broken off talks for a long term extension with the Packers.
He's got some displeasure Darius Smith, who was hailed as

(22:23):
one of the big fore agent signings of Brian guten Kunst.
You know, a change in the way the Packers have
typically handled off seasons actually bringing in Preston Smith's to
Darius Smith making some big fore agent signings, trying to
beef up that defense, trying to make an immediate impact
and change. Now he's upset. They picked up an option
and within his contract, which now makes it difficult I

(22:45):
think for um for him to remain on the team
next year. So it almost looks as if this will
be indeed his final year with the club because of
what they exercise within his contract. So you've got three players,
three prominent players, three productive players, who are all frustrated
with the way the organization organizations operating. And Aaron Rodgers

(23:08):
has been the only one who has essentially come out
and said it's it's Mark Murphy and and and at
some point you have to start a question if you're
a Packers fan, or if your other players, or if
you're a prospective free agent, like if this guy he
was just league MVP who spent his entire career there,
and then you've got one of the best wide receivers,

(23:29):
if not the best, in Davante Adams, and one of
the better edge rushes. If they're all having issues with it,
how good's Green Bay looking right now? I mean, I'm
just saying, like, forget about the Rogers portion of this.
You've got three prominent players, and I feel like Mark
Murphy's put Matt Lafleur and Brian gutten Kunst in a

(23:52):
really tough spot. And I know some people tended to
think that they were a part of this whole deal.
I don't think they are. I think this all goes
above them. I think it all comes down to Mark
Murphy and how he's maybe taking a hard stance on
Davant Adams and those contract negotiations because of Adam's public
support for Rogers. And it's almost as if Rogers drew

(24:13):
a line in the sand, mark Murphy's on one side,
and then players are starting to line up on Roger's side.
It's a really interesting situation. And you've gotten that Lafleur
and Brian Gudencun sitting there right there in the middle. Yeah,
it's I mean the whole thing. And here's here's the
other part of this as well too. So say Aaron

(24:35):
Rodgers shows up, you would say, okay, great, he's here, right,
let's move on. No, no, no no, this is gonna be
a top of a conversation for the entire season because
if he shows up, I I He's gone next year, right,
I mean, like this is it. Like it's like he's
either no longer going to be taking a staff for
the Green Bay Packers or these are his last snaps

(24:57):
for the Green Bay Packers. This is it. So this
is gonna be a discussion. It's gonna be a season
long farewell tour for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, and
the questions are going to be had similar to Tom
Brady's final year, except I think people were still up
in the airs to whether or not Brady was going
to be back in New England. But this is going
to be his farewell tour, and the questions are going

(25:17):
to happen every single week about what it's gonna be
like moving forward, and Matt Lafloor and all those players
and Aaron Rodgers are gonna have to be answering the
same questions every week. Every week. This is gonna be
a story. It's going to be and I think there's
no doubt whether he gets traded before the season, or
he sits out of the season, or he plays the season,
this is it. I mean somewhere in this next year,

(25:41):
from today until next offseason, like that's the time frame
we're looking at for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers.
And it's one of the reasons why when people try
to tie together Davant's, Adams and Rodgers, there are very
different points. I mean, if you remember towards the end
of the last day, it's one of the frustrating parts
for Pippin was he wanted a contract, you he wanted
a new contract. You know, Jordan was the one that

(26:02):
was moving on for the second time, you know, very
similar to kind of Rodgers in this case, the older
player moving on at this point and Davant Adams is
looking for that next contract, which I just have a
hard time believing. The Packers are gonna try to move
on from Adams only because and he can display as
much displeasure as he wants once they give him a
huge contract to help him support Jordan's Love, who is

(26:25):
their future at the quarterback spot. I mean, that's how
this whole thing is probably gonna work out. But for
Aaron Rodgers, like I think they've known the second they
traded up the draft Jordan Love, the writing has always
been on the wall and they're they're not. They can't
turn back that clock, even with a new contract. They
can't turn back that clock because of that line being
drawn in the sand with Mark Murphy, like that's a

(26:47):
done deal. This is it. And so we got twenty
four hours. Now we'll see whether or not Aaron Rodgers
shows up and or whether or not it drags on
a little bit. Remember he did fourgo that half million
dollar workout bonus in the offseason and decided not to
show up. He did decide not to show up for
their mandatory minicamp, which comes with fines, so he's already

(27:08):
proven that he's willing to not show up and take
on some of those fines. He's made a ton of money.
It's gonna be interesting. Coming up in fifteen minutes from now,
I am going to ask a hypothetical question, all right,
but I think this is going to be more difficult,
uh and probably pretty insulting to UH to about sevent
of the country. So we will get into that. A

(27:29):
hypothetical sports question, football related that has not been asked yet.
I will ask that here coming up fifteen minutes from now.
Right now, though, it's time for something we do on
the show called this How could you not get to
these stories? Are there? Scraps? And for that we turn
it over to Danny g Are, executive producer, to find

(27:52):
out what the hell we've missed so far on the show. Danny, Alright, fellas,
Melvin Ingram is going to be bringing the Mamba mentality
to Pittsburgh Steelers. New linebacker Ingram is gonna wear number
eight in honor of Kobe Bryant. Kobe's yeah, I do
think that's cool. Nice nod to Kobe Brady. We know

(28:13):
you famously wore number ten. And then you had to
switch to nine in Denver, back to ten in Seattle.
Was there a reason, a good reason for number ten
for you going into college? Yeah? So actually growing up
Tenator high school was kind of viewed as like that
number that got passed down from quarterback to quarterback at
our high school. So, um, they first really started with

(28:34):
Chad Jenkins, went it up going on to play an
army served in the military Briant Camp, end up going
on to play at Georgia Tech. And then it was
kind of, you know, passed down to me. So it
became kind of one of those traditions if you will, um,
and and you wore proudly. So it was it was
cool to be number ten. It was cool to be
that guy that quarterback at our high school. That's really

(28:54):
really started for me. Uh. I See, I was number
nine in high school and the only reason I was
I was number nine is because I wanted number seven,
but another guy who wanted it actually played and so
they favored him, and so I had to stick with nine.
To see, you you're the type of guy that would
get nine just because you were buddies with six, and

(29:14):
you were like, hey, look when we're staying on the
sidelines together. It's gonna be a treat for everyone the stands.
I know how your mind works. I remember the high
school version of Jonas knocks check check your phone in
ten minutes. Yeah, but but again, Yeah, that is uh,
that is you know, that's everybody's got a got a
story behind the number. By the way, nine you're you

(29:35):
and Denver, it looked better than in Cleveland. There's something
about that single digit that just looks better. Man, I'm
telling you break Yeah, well, it was really because of
I didn't want to to buy out any of the
well I could have switched to ten. Unfortunately was too
cheap to buy out the rest of the inventory of
number nine that I guess it was Reebok that made

(29:57):
some some number nine jerseys in inventory, so I would
have had to buy I think fifty dollars worth of
inventory to then essentially donate those jerseys, as you said,
to Simbabwe or some other country can maybe use it.
It's like wearing black. The single digit is slimming unless
you're fat, though, then I feel like it actually looks worse. Wow,

(30:20):
what I'll just say what everyone's thinking? All right? In
our next scrap here bad luck. Hopefully it's a false positive.
John Rohm, who already had COVID it is now fully vaccinated,
has tested positive for COVID again and is being forced
to withdraw from the Olympics. Horrible news for him. The

(30:40):
first test resulted in him missing out on one point
seven million dollar payday at the Memorial Tournament. This time
he's being pulled from the Olympics. We don't have time
to even give the Olympic team a replacement. Is this
just like a black cloud following him around? How can
you how do you get COVID and you're fully next? Yeah? This, uh,

(31:02):
this has got to be a false positive, right has
to be, Like I mean, I would I would think so.
I mean he at least look if he doesn't have immunity, right,
like you'd think, Like he's got the vaccine, he's probably
got some sort of natural immunity too, if he continues
to keep getting it. Like, I don't know how this
is possible. At some point, Look, I've said this all along.

(31:23):
At some point we're gonna we're gonna have to allow
athletes to play if if they're asymptomatic. I know that
scares people, and it's not a popular opinion to say
right now, But the dude was winning by six strokes
and he lost out of one point seven million. We
couldn't figure out a way to let him playing golf
and not be around anyone, Like, are people even allowed
at the Olympics right now? Can't we just like quarantine

(31:46):
him and let him play by himself. So let the
guy participate. And by the way, it's not like you
share clubs. I mean, you're using your own clubs. Yeah,
you're not sharing balls either. You always use your own balls.
I mean last time I checked, Like, that's one of
the biggest keys to golf, you know. Yeah, can't use
anyone else's balls. No, you can't. You can't even wash

(32:06):
anybody else's balls. No, your caddy really can't even touch
your balls. I don't want anyone rubbing them. To me,
those balls are perfect. That's a great point, Tom. Tom Brady,
chiming in on the show, had a great point hearing
from Mr Brady here an fs are finally, I don't
know how you guys missed this one. Organizers of a
world record attempt for the longest game of cornhole announced

(32:28):
that they met their goal Friday in Nebraska, and they
according to this report, they were still going. I don't
know if they're not gonna back, still going on Monday
morning now. But Andy for Doris, one of the players
attempting the world record in the gymnasium at Laura's Central
Catholic School in Nebraska City, said the team discovered the
Guinness World Records time to beat was twenty six hours,
thirteen minutes and they met their goal Friday in the

(32:52):
middle of the day and they kept going. I I look,
there's no update on whether or not they are still
going right now. I mean, wait, when any more details? Okay,
like here's here's I have a couple of Well, first
of all, are they sober doing this? And I know
I know what people are thinking, Oh, we'll set a
Catholic school. Let me tell you something I grew up.
Let me tell you something I grew up going to

(33:14):
a carnival at our Catholic church. They couldn't help but
serve beer. Every single year there's a beer tent and
they serve wine. So so so don't give me this.
Well to Catholics, So what are you meeting? No, no no, no, stop.
They serve booze at at Catholic carnivals all the time.
So I want to know, are there booze at this
Catholic school where they're playing this cornhole tournament? There's gotta

(33:35):
be right. I mean, I'll put it this way. Notre
Dame's campus is not dry. All right, Catholic school, the
campus is not dry. I'll leave it at that. Um,
I've got a lot of questions that, Like, so hold on,
they're playing the longest game. They're just continuously playing because
I mean, it's not like like someone's gonna win eventually.
It's not like it's just one long game or they're

(33:57):
playing to a thousand, Like, how does this whole thing work? Yeah,
I wondered the same thing. There are no details in
the article about that, but yeah, this guy is quoted
as saying, we're gonna keep going for as long as
we can. Gosh, what can you do longer? Alright? Not
go number two or play cornhole? I think that's the
real question. I mean, well, they sound so similar. Here's

(34:18):
the here's the thing. I would just say this. I
would just say this, I'm actually very good at cornhole.
But we never called a cornhole grown up, we called
a bean bag toss. So I think corn holes a
Midwestern term. Well maybe, but I think that's what I've
heard as it's always been called, at least from from

(34:39):
probably the people who started it. You just called it
what it looks like, like like what you just heard it,
you know, you like it was like you walked out
of your house and then a bunch of people just go, oh,
they're playing this bean bag toss game. We'll just called
bing bean bag toss, like, yeah, well it's not the
actual name of it. Yeah, But but basketball they called
the basketball because it was the original rim was a

(35:00):
each basket, so you're playing out you're throwing a ball
into a basket. So I I was just always told
it was being they don't call golf the hit ball
with stick games, Like they don't call it that, why
not maybe they should call it baseball because there's bases
and you play with a ball. But it's not like
they're like, hey, I'm just telling you what we call

(35:21):
it's like, you know, you you guys in the Midwest
called it pop. We called it soda. You know, like
that's you know, just depends on where you are, what
part of the country you're at. I'm just saying, man,
like this but but longest game, longest game, but and
with this, and plus when you when you become you know,
a professional like we were, borderline professionals. The way we play.
You no longer say being bag toss You just say, hey,

(35:42):
let's play bags, bags, you know, just like that bags. Yeah,
it sounds sounds really really cool, letting you, letting you
in on what Yeah, let let's no, absolutely not. I
didn't smoke weed and it didn't listen to Crumby. I
did see either of those two things right now, but

(36:03):
you better believe it. You know how many losers I
saw kicking a hackey sack around pothead, You pot junkie's
wearing some crummy little sublime shirt. Yeah, I tired of him.
Ruined my high school experience. I pick up your damn skard.
That not having calves, That not having calves, that'll ruin
high school. Yeah, but you know, eyes above the waist,

(36:25):
all right, Brady quinn Jonas knocks it's out kick the
coverage here Fox Sports Radio coming up next day. Hypothetical
football question that has not been asked, but it will
make you think the entire rest of the day. It's
yours next year on FSR. This this is I'll kick
the coverage. He's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knocks. It's I'll

(36:45):
kick the coverage here on Fox Sports Radio. We are
going to be back on the air tomorrow morning, Brady Quinn,
and maybe we'll have some more clarity here six am
Eastern time, three o'clock Pacific on the Aaron Rodgers situation.
Uh will know what's happening with Deshaun Watson. If a
trade is in the works, you know, maybe that'll hopefully,
maybe we could talk some Olympics too. It's been a lot,

(37:07):
a lot of stuff going on. Did you watch the four?
Did you watch that? No? I was gonna watch that,
but I just carried on living my life, so I
did not. I did not make that a part of appreciating.
I was too busy listening to people bitch because you
know they streamed the USA basketball game on the appy.
Yeah everyone for some reason. Ye, hey, dummies, welcome to

(37:31):
reality where most places are now putting stuff on apps. Yes,
of course, it's because they want you to pay for
the app. That's why they put the USA basketball game
on their Good god, man, are you build new to
this whole thing? What are we talking about. I just
I love how leisurely people are talking about peacock. You know,

(37:54):
they're condensing it, they're calling it something else. Um, yeah,
it's just I'm sure NBC thought about it before they
called it like peacock. That like maybe people were gonna,
you know, start butchering. Have you have you ever seen
a peacock? Yeah? Actually we've we've got a fair amount
down where I live. And I'm not talking about you know,

(38:14):
the locker rooms. I'm talking about like, have you ever
seen have you ever seen, like leave the urnal out
of this, have you ever seen, um, an actual peacock?
Because I was at the my buddy's bachelor party was
in Cancun, and we we stayed at this absolute dump
place sucked, But I didn't want to give hold that
to a whole another topic. But there was peacocks running around.

(38:36):
There were peacocks running around and very bizarre looking birds.
That's your takeaway. Peacocks, like I was gonna have heard
a beer? Did any of them show off their feathers
to them? Kind of perk? Are they called females or
peacocks all females or they at males? No, there's males Okay, yeah,

(38:57):
I'm not a peacock expert. I actually think the males
are the ones with the big feathers, and it's either
like a defense mechanism to scare off predators or it's
also to like for mating. You know, they like show
off those feathers and they're like, look at look at
my feathers. First as this dude, you know it's one
of those We've all been trying to show off their

(39:18):
the size of their feathers. Absolutely, you know we've been.
I think that's all right. Let me let me throw
a hypothetical at you. Right, So let's just say this
College Football SEC Super Conference happens, and and look, you
mentioned this earlier. There's reports that the SEC is going
to try and go after Clemson and go after Ohio State,

(39:38):
not only just Oaklahoman Texas. But let's just say that
they add these teams and that's what the SEC is.
You've got a choice. You can only watch one or
the other, only the SEC next year, or every other
conference in college football? What are you watching? I'm a

(40:00):
watch every other conference in college football. Please. Um, look,
here's here's the reality is. Um, I'm not sure if
you know this but Fox Sports actually has the rights
to the Big Ten, Big twelve, and Pack twelve. Yeah,
that would not only would I be working all right,
uh during those games for other conferences. Uh, it would
be in the best interest of Fox Sports if there

(40:21):
wasn't the dismantling of the Big twelve and Big ten
in their SEC didn't get some big super conference. So
I totally agree. I'm sure you took that into account, right,
of course, that would have been my answer. I mean,
you know, I was I was too busy making sure
that the Oklahoma's athletic director wasn't still crying because he
had an eleven am kickoff. Just I just wanted to
know whether or not he was still crying about that.

(40:42):
You know. That's that's where you know, the conversation I
was trying to have, you know, just making making a
point here. Look, maybe, by the way, maybe that played
a small part and some of their displeasure and wanting
to go to the SEC where they feel like apparently
they think that that's gonna change the start time of
their games. Uh, news flash, you still live in the
Central time zone and there's still gonna be some noon
kickoffs eleven I mean, I don't. I don't know what

(41:06):
to tell you, Like, do you think at Oklahoma, granted
they would be one of the bigger brands in the SEC,
but are you gonna be better than Alabama? Are you
gonna be bigger than Georgia? Probably not. So you start
going down the line, You're like, yeah, but you have
to still play more games at noon or eleven am. Yeah.
What's part of the negotiation for Oklahoma? Is it that
they don't have to use daylight savings anymore? Like they

(41:27):
could just stay they can go on Eastern Eastern time zone. Yeah,
it's the whole thing is weird, but it is fun
to have a college football back in the discussion and
the NFL. And uh, you know, Brady, it's been fun
doing the show with you today. I gotta tell you that, man,
it's been a lot of fun. I'm just I'm rooting
for Gardner Minshew one spot. Be sure to catch live
editions about kick the coverage weekdays at six am Eastern

(41:50):
three am Pacific.
