Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with LaVar Area Rady Quinn and Joe Miss Knocks
on Fox four Radio, The Jordan's Love Era has begun
kind of in Green Bay. We're to uh, you know,

(00:21):
we're not here to to poke fun at that or
to talk about the accommodations were given to his mother
and his girlfriend, who were sitting in the very last
row of seats in the stadiums. But that's typical though,
that is and let me tell you something, I would
rather sit there than anywhere else in the stadium. You
don't have to worry about some a hole behind you
spilling his beer all over your backs. Before. Yeah, it's terrible.

(00:44):
I've done it to people before. It's awful. It's it's
a very bad situation. Yeah, it's this awful person. Even
if it's by accident, though, it's just a very bad situation.
I hear. Here's when I did it. Stanley Cup Final
two thousand nine, LaVar in Pittsburg. Remember the old igglue
that dump Civic Arena and don't do that. Don't do

(01:06):
that anyways, it was so at Civic Arena and it
was game Championship Game Game four against the Red Wings,
and my buddy and I celebrated a penguin's goal and
I had a twenty five ounce labat blue in a
in a cup. Were cheerings, yeah, and it ended up

(01:27):
on the woman in front of us. She turned around soaked,
and I blamed it all my buddy, I pointed right
out of Hey, that's status quot. Listen, hey, hey, bad
times call for to call for bad people to do
bad things, and it had to happen. So I don't
know what to tell you, but Jordan's Love gets to
start for the Green Bay Packers did not go all
that well. Um, I know Matt Lafleur tried to take

(01:50):
some of the blame for it, but no, Aaron Rodgers
will play. No, No, Aaron Rodgers and uh and Brady.
The Green Bay Packers struggle on the road and lose
to Kansas City. Well, first off, let me just say this.
If if you're playing a backup, you know, quarterback in

(02:10):
his first start of his career on the road, mind
you all right, in allowed environment like that, you've gotta
have some other pieces come to play. You can't make
the mistakes that they did. Special teams wise with a
boxed punt, they had a missed forty yard fuel goal
Mason Crosby usually as good from there, and then one
that got blocked that to be honest with you, you know,
I'm not sure it was gonna go in either. Both

(02:32):
holes were bad. Um. That was something that was mentioned
during the broadcast. But and and obviously again not trying
to make excuses for the kicker and not trying to
reference dumb and dumber or she's not dumb and dumber.
Um was it a Spintura pet detective laces out like
laces out man, And and it freaks out those kickers

(02:52):
when they can see any part of those laces that
are still showing towards them, even if it's not directly
towards them. So too bad hole was the two misskicks.
You saw the margin of victory. They take those two
kicks a different deal. So I just I would first
say this, in those circumstances, whether it's Jordan's Love or
placing Aaron Rodgers or any other team that's that's having

(03:14):
a backup play, usually you gotta come out and everyone's
gonna play up to up to par, like up to
the standard the special teams let this team down. What
was evident was Jordan's Love doesn't have the same chemistry
with Davante Adams as Aaron Rodgers. I think we could
have guessed that was going to be the case coming
into the game. Uh And you could probably guess too

(03:35):
that Steve Spagnola, the defensive coordinator for the Chiefs, was
going to pressure and blitz Jordan's Love every single opportunity
that he got, and he did, and the Packers didn't
handle it well. Jordan Love didn't handle it well, and
that was really where it exposed itself because they converted
what one third down the whole game. I mean, it

(03:58):
became glaringly odvious that he's not ready yet. And that's okay.
I don't know that. You know, many are in their
first start. We tend to forget Aaron Rodgers after sitting
for a couple of years. His for his first few games, like,
he got off to a decent start and then started
to kind of fizzle out. There was a lot of
people who were curious to see what that was gonna
be in year two, and then he started to take off.

(04:21):
So I'm not I'm not giving up right away on
you know, Jordan's love and what he could be or
what he is and all that. He didn't play as
well as you know, people were expecting him too, and
that's okay. It was a tough spot for I think
for him to be into made a couple of throws
in there, did a couple of nice things, but obviously
a big drop off from what Aaron Rodgers would have provided.
And it showed. And the conclusion is whether that was

(04:43):
a bad first showing or not, whether he improves or not.
He did himself no no justice, no no positive service.
In terms of the debate of is it should it couldn't,
Why isn't it Aaron Rodgers moving forward? I think that
that played are you work? Could be so upset after

(05:03):
the season. I'm just telling you. I mean, I could,
honestly could care less, but I'm gonna I am gonna
hold true to it. I really, I really won't lose
not one wink of sleep if Aaron Rodgers doesn't play
for Green Bay. I just believe that there is a
a strategy here that's playing out and and for what
it's worth, even if I'm wrong on what my original

(05:23):
assessment and idea of it would be the way Jordan's
Love played last night would still give pause to say,
maybe we should rethink if we were really going to
part ways with with Aaron Rodgers, we might need to
find another, yet another quarterback before we decide to make
that move. Listen, I look at it like this. This
is more of an indictment on Kansas City than it

(05:46):
is on Green Bay in this game, Let's be clear
here with that seven points, six points and then you're
shut out, blanked the entire second half of the game, blanked,
all right, you barely as Patrick Mahomes, you're barely in
the hundreds in the yards category for passing the ball.

(06:07):
This team stinks right now, and they beat a wounded
Green Bay Packers team. They have limped, not rant, not dominated,
not did what what is comparable at the time of
of the height of what they've done to the greatest
show on turf and and St. Louis with the Rams.
They have limped, they have crawled, they have scraped, and

(06:28):
I give them credit for winning the games. But if
we're looking at this team and we're saying, oh, this
is a barometer, and this is a gauge because of
how good uh Kansas City is. I would say this
is more of an indictment of how bad Kansas City
is right now. And they were able to win this game,
and that says to me how bad Green Bay is

(06:49):
without Aaron Rodgers. So to me, this was just a
whole lot of bad wrapped up in the more bad
that played out in a game of bad. And and
that's kind of what it comes down to. You're talking
about a team is explosive as Kansas City. You can't
put up any more points than than thirteen points. You can't.
You can't put up more than third team points. I

(07:12):
just I find that to be tragic for what it
is that we expect this team to be and what
we think of Patrick Mahomea. The Kansas City has always
been known as a defensive team. So to me, this
is part of the course. I mean, what, what is
what is going on? What is going on? And talking
about giving them a chance to win the game thirteen points?
First off, I do want to give the Packers defensive credit.

(07:33):
I thought they I thought they played pretty well, um
trying to limit some of the big plays and all that,
which a lot of teams have done versus the Chiefs
this year. You're starting to see some similarities though between
did anyone watch the Buffalo Bills Jaguars um And one
of the things that you're starting to see with both
Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen is they have been able

(07:54):
to at certain points in time when nothing's there, scramble
by time, create and be able to make some big plays.
And that the that style of play, those those those
big plays that came via that. When they get outside
of the pocket, under one side of the field or not,
they're just not there anymore like they're they're just not
there as often that they're just defenses aren't gonna let

(08:17):
them do that. And you know, you look at older
quarterbacks like a Tom Brady like and Aaron Rodgers obviously
not playing right now. But one of the things that
makes them great is they don't ever need to leave
the pocket to be able to have those big plays.
They move within the pocket, they anticipate, they still have
that the ability to throw downfield. And I'm not saying

(08:38):
that Patrick Mahomes doesn't anticipate or Josh Allen doesn't anticipate,
but they don't do it as often as those guys.
You know, they didn't do it as often as Drew
Brees or older quarterbacks in the league because they have to.
Those guys can't afford to get outside the pocket and
buy time because that's not their game. They're vulnerable when
they get outside the pocket. And I think what you're
seeing now is the NFL defense in particular adjusting to

(09:01):
that style of play in particular from those two quarterbacks.
And and what we've always known is it cuts the
field in half. Like LaVar would tell you, and now
I want to speak for you, but when you run,
when you scramble to one side of the field, you're
only making it easier on the defense because they're they
only have a half the field to worry worry about.

(09:23):
You know, now, Patrick Mahomes and Josha will make that
wow throw and throw it back across their body. But
have you noticed what happened this year when they start
breaking those rules and going against those rules. There's been
more turnovers this year or less production. All those things,
those golden rules as a quarterback that you learn when
you are young. They're all like all the data and

(09:44):
stats and everything that that coaches would tell you when
you're young, like, hey, you might get away with it
a time or two. But you do it often enough
and you're gonna throw an interception. You're not gonna get
away with it. You're cutting the field in half. Play
from the pocket, you know, get your eyes where they
need to be, anticipate those throws, put them in spots
your receivers can get them. That's just not happening anymore.

(10:04):
Like everything still has to be a big play, has
to be at chunk, has to be something else. No
one's willing to work the football methodically down the field anymore. Uh,
They're always looking for more. I think you're starting to
see all those things become exposed with guys like that.
Are those two players in particular right now? And and look,
it's it's just how the NFL adjusts. And so give

(10:25):
credit to defenses because I think they've come out with
better game plans to stop these guys more often than
not this year and adjusting their style of play super quickly.
I know we have the update. But when you hold
a team to seven points, that is the reputation is
what Kansas Cities is, and playing in Kansas City, you
hold them the seven points coming out of the first

(10:46):
quarter and you have none As a Green Bay Packer
player on both sides, all sides, I'm confident, especially because
we we had some mishaps. All right, second quarter, you
score no points, but they only score six points going
in the halftime, thirteen nothing. I'm confident as a Green
Bay Packer fan because I believe that thirteen points. As

(11:07):
a defender, if if we're holding a team to thirteen
points in the National Football League, my confidence is that
all we gotta do is keep playing the way we're playing,
We're gonna win this game. If I'm on the offensive
side of the ball, I'm saying we haven't done what
we needed to do. All we have to do is
keep playing our game. Something's gonna come available, something's gonna
come up, and we're gonna be able to win this game.
You lost the game and they scored thirteen points. Keep

(11:30):
that in mind for the mentality of moving forward. Keep
that in mind. The confidence level of losing a game
where you can only get muster seven points in the game,
that's something that we might This might be a moment
in time to look back on, not because they lost
the game, but in the fashion of how they lost
the game. It's probably what's more important here. Be sure

(11:52):
to catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks
week days at six a m. E. Starn three am
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio
app Listen Labarn. I have been, you know, waxing poetically
about the Cleveland Browns. Brady has been hating on the
entire s, you know, just so we're glad that we

(12:17):
that we're here. Reper, Hey man, they look damn good yesterday.
That was impressive. That was really impressive. Here's here's where
I'm torn, because I think everyone's trying to directly correlate
the way they won with the absence of Odell Beckham
to Baker, but the absence of Beckham too, because look,

(12:40):
the reality is they didn't do a ton throwing the football.
It was more about you know, Nick Chubb, him being back.
I mean, I'll just say this, I think with Derrick
Henry now currently not playing, Nick Chubb is the best
back in the league. He's he's he's currently playing best
running back in the Jonathan No, I'm gonna taking Nick Chubb.

(13:03):
And look, maybe it has something to do too with
their offensive line. Because I think the Brown's offensive lines better.
Like if you when you go back and watch that tape,
how many times did Nick Chubb not have anyone near
him until he got five, six, seven, eight yards downfield?
It was absurd. It's almost like what it looks like

(13:23):
if you've never seen an NFL walkthrough before. It's like
a walkthrough it in real speed, real time where you
have a body on a body and it's like a
perfect Friday. Everything's blocked up the way you wanted to
be and you're just running through the hole. That's what
it looked like versus the Bengals. And I don't know
if this was a moment where the Bengals got a
big head about themselves or they just were tested from

(13:46):
a physical standpoint and they could not stop the rushing attack.
But that's where this conversation, at least to me, about
the Browns and what makes them go starts and ends.
Baker played okay, made a couple of big throws Donovan
People's jones think showcased. You know he can he can
step into that role as a big playmaker a wide receiver.
He's showed that last year. But the absence of Nick

(14:08):
Chubb and getting him back. My goodness, man, over a
hundred fifty total yards from scrimmage, a couple of touchdowns
like that, dude's the difference maker. We can talk any
other narrative we want, that dude is the difference maker
for this team. I totally agree. And that's that's the
lane that I would live in. In terms of talking
about the Cleveland Browns, I thought it was interesting that

(14:31):
that his you know, Baker Mayfield's quotes. You know, it's
kind of like, ah, they were focused. They the guys,
the guys, what about you or you focus? How do
you feel let's talk about you? You know, I know,
I know it's one thing that to say, Okay, the
guys did well with this and you know, we got
through it. And I get that. I definitely get that.

(14:52):
It It certainly looks like they responded that that looked
like a response to the drama that was taking play.
There are probably some guys in that locker room, whether
they want to admit it or not, that that harbored
some some jealousy, a little bit of maybe some envy,
maybe a little bit of you know, some other emotions
as it applied to uh, the Star that Odell Beckham

(15:16):
is and what he represented in that locker room. Uh,
you know things, the dynamic of a locker room can
be unforgiving and very truthful. And I can guarantee that
there's probably somebody that was in that locker room that
probably at some point, even you know, verbally or physically,

(15:37):
it got to a certain point of where they were
tired of what they were tired of as it applied
to him. And and so to me, I think that
this was a response. This was definitely a response and
emotional response. I just wonder if they can can maintain it,
because it did nothing to change how I feel about
Baker Mayfield. I think it's the running game. The Running

(15:58):
game did well, and it gave them the opportunity to
use play action in their favor. And so to me,
I didn't look at Baker Mayfield as being one thing
or the other. He's the Baker Mayfield that we we've
been watching. Baker Mayfield was asked afterwards about how he
was feeling with the departure of Oh b J. Here's
what we had to say. I wish him well. I
really do. Like I said, my feelings haven't changed. I

(16:20):
wish him well. You know that's from a personal standpoint.
He's a good friend of mine. We still haven't talked,
but that doesn't change things. I wish him well, I
wish him the best in his career. But I'm worried
about the guys in our locker room. I'm proud of
these guys, how they were able to focus on despite
all the it was going on this week, and how
they were able to do their job. So that's why
I appreciate this group of guys and UH and the

(16:41):
staff that we have. So we're gonna, you know, see
if we can build on it and continue to get better.
All Right, we're great friends. Sometimes that's your best friend,
the one you don't talk to him. We ain't talked
at all about this big situation where we've parted ways
for one another. We are great friends. Though my my dad,
my dad mocked you and everybody ran with it on

(17:03):
social media. But don't worry about it. You're a good
buddy of mine. There. I remember the night the Browns
traded away. Brayn Edwards and and Braylon and I were close.
You know, he lived close to me. I ended up
buying a place, you know, kind of close to him.
Close to my quarterback coach in Cleveland, and and at
that point the organization I moved on from Romeo Cornella,

(17:23):
prior head coach, and so we had a new staff
in there. So so Rip, my quarterback coach, was gone,
and then you know Braylon was there, but they had
already moved off from Kellen. That was one of the
top targets for a team the past two years, and
so Brandon was the only one left. And you know,
he was frustrated ethic with the way things that gone
that season for us opening up. Obviously didn't like the

(17:45):
coaching staff, which a lot of players fell into that category.
And I remember the night they traded him, he changed
his voicemail to New York, New York, I believe by
Frank Sinatra, and I just I swear because I remember
calling him and at first, you know, I left him
a voicemail he didn't pick up, and then afterwards we

(18:06):
had a conversation later on that night, and you know,
I just look, things didn't get complicated. We never had
a complicated relationship like that as far as quarterback receiver.
But I could see a scenario where they kind of
want to let the emotions subside, let the dust settle,
because a lot of a lot of where I think

(18:27):
Baker would be triggered about talking to Odell, you know,
would be based upon the fact that there was a
lot of things that were said for Odell, not by O'Dell.
And I think in today's world, when you have your
someone's dad coming out saying stuff, Steve Smith Senior coming
out saying stuff, a bunch of other people who came

(18:48):
out saying stuff, jeff just at Jefferson wearing a free
O'Dell sweatshirt before the game. When you have all these
people saying stuff, it's indirectly coming from Odell, It's not
coming directly from his mouth. And I think that's the
hard part. Like when you look at Baker's makeup, he's
just a good old Texas boy. Yeah, he wants to
look in your eyes, talk to your face, shake your hand,

(19:09):
that kind of thing. And O'Dell went about it every
other way possible with his frustrations within what was going
on within the offense, his chemistry with Baker, And I
think that's the thing where, you know, it's probably hard,
and that's that's why those two probably don't don't talk anymore.
You know or won't talk anymore. So it's look, it
is what it is. But this Brown's team, you know,

(19:31):
sitting at five and four is shockingly still isn't in
the playoff picture yet. But if they play this way
moving forward, the way they ran the football, the way
the defense played, they're gonna have an opportunity. I think
they play once again the postseason. Yeah, I don't. I
don't disagree with that. And listen, personal is personal. I
took my little jab at it. You know, some people

(19:51):
just don't like the way it feels when they're in
the locker room, and it might be based off of
more than what we could, you know, kind of come
up with it. You just have to be there, is
what I would say. I've I've seen it play out
plenty of times when I was in the pros. You
just have to be there to to understand it. But
they did respond, and once again, I'm gonna double down

(20:14):
on I think this is more in of indictment on
the Bengals than it is on on the Cleveland Browns winning.
And I think that when you look at there at home,
they're looking they're being looked at. Is one of the
hottest teams in the league right now, um, and what
they're capable of doing. Joe Burrow was looking pretty good.

(20:38):
And then we just finally saw the Bengals and and
it's like, you know, we had the conversation like, Okay, Pittsburgh,
Stiller is going into a big game. Uh, I believe
it was Cleveland they beat? Was it Cleveland they just
played last week? It is either Cleveland or the Bengals.
It's it's it's all the same to me if you
ask me. But but that was England. So and I said, listen,

(21:03):
the Stellers are gonna win this game because Cleveland's Cleveland.
And and and for no other reason than that, I
just feel as though in this game, the Bengals are
the Bengals, and they were playing the team that's almost
in the same way the same way. So it's like
you got two little brothers playing each other. You're gonna
see a more competitive game in theory. But you didn't

(21:25):
see that. You saw you saw Cleveland take it. They
played they played physical, they played fast, they played loose.
It looked as though a team that that was definitely
on a mission. And and and it made me wonder.
I just started questioning, is Cincinnati a fool's gold team.
Plexico Birds has been using fool's gold. I'm I'm a

(21:47):
double down on his fool's gold, and wonder is this
Bengals team a fool's gold team? Does this? Does this
game say to us that, Okay, they had a good
first part of the season, but what's your we expect
or anticipate from the Bengals the rest of the way.
That's what that came away with the game. Listen, I
mean they were called the Bungles for many years. I'm

(22:07):
not trying to take shots. You know, are our great
listeners in Cincinnati, but you know they know they were
called the Bungles for a long you know, you know
what I gotta I gotta give credit though, Okay, because
you know, when you're from Ohio, it's a big game,
Like I grew up, you know, Bernie Boomer, all of that,
the history behind the Battle, the Battle of Ohio, the

(22:27):
Battle four Ohio. Right, you'd think that, like most people,
especially given you know, the young quarterbacks and both these
teams kind of on the rise, you would think that,
like pretty much everyone would be in tune with that, right,
Like once you think that would be the case I mean, yeah,
I mean that that would be my guest rivalry game,

(22:48):
rivalry like in the NFL, right, which is and that
could be a good that could be the reason why
this game played out the way that it played as well.
And I also think, um, you know, look, and if
you don't believe us in this rivalry game, I mean
take it from Tony Romo, who I mean he called
it as well as anybody yesterday who really described what
it means to have a Bengals Browns game and to

(23:09):
be totally prepared for a hater. What is the rivalry
called Jim Red the Cities of the Ohio the Battle
of the Ohio. My god, Hey, hey, Tony, how's your
short game? How how's the punning and chipping? Because Mord

(23:32):
knows that if you can't figure that out, and for anyone,
I look at the Honeymoon's over. Prep Seriously, the honeymoon's
over with him calling games and everyone being wowed by
him right now, that takes he's stealing. I'm not gonna
say that he is stealing though, for how he sounded

(23:53):
in that game, he wasn't prepped at all, and that's
just what obviously has nothing to do with the scheme
and all that, he didn't add any value to this game.
And it's sad. It's sad because you have two teams
that I think are on the rise. It's been a
different history for them, great storylines going into this game.
And I don't I don't like using Twitter or social

(24:13):
media as a barometer for anything. But it was so
apparently obvious because there was such a love affair with
Tony Romo when he first took over, and now people
have turned on him in a heartbeat, and honestly it's justified.
He sounded like it was just not like he was
just there, like he was waiting to trying to go
to his next tea time at some of the place

(24:35):
before the golf course is closed up north where was
hid the word? I think in his head he was
thinking red River or something like that, but but I
had no idea where he was trying to land with it.
But we knew it was Rent that was coming out here.
Please like this is the great time, called Jim red

(24:57):
the Cities of Ohio. Theo's that's that w joined. It's
old saying that says, um, you know you fool me,
uh you fool me? That sounds like it sounds like
Harry Carry. You shouldn't be able to fool me again.
It sounds like Harry Carry trying to order food, like

(25:19):
he has no idea where he's going with it. He
can't read the menu, He has no nothing, no clue.
What is happening? How about the start off with all right,
maybe you don't ask Jim Nance a question like maybe
just so people to stay the formattics of how this works.
The play by play typically asked the analyst questions, not
the other way around, Like as the analysts, you're supposed

(25:42):
to be prepared for that moment to talk about a
rivalry or the history and that the Battle of Ohio
between Cleveland and Cincinnati. So I look as an Ohio native.
It was to listen to it was offensive, It was
awful to listen to work smarter, not harder, Tony no
up romo, man, good for him? What's he getting? You

(26:02):
got a cell phone? You got all those people producing.
Somebody can jump in your air and say, come on, man,
it's about like you some common sense there, Even if
you think you're wrong, you might be right, like, hey,
it's the Battle of Ohio. Like hello, Like what was
that worded incorrectly. Where's the guy who signed off on
the Romo contract for all that money, who decided that?

(26:25):
All right? Thank thank god I didn't make any bets,
that's for sure. God An, thank God, I'm not gonna
be held accountable for that. Be sure to catch live
editions of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with

is where real conversations happened. Listen to the Rights Are

(27:11):
Wrong podcast on the I Heart Radio, Apple Apple Podcast
or wherever you get your podcasts. Shouts out to Canelo Alvarez.
Yeah that's what we're talking right, Yeah, better believe it. Yeah,
that was a that was something that was a t
ko eventful Saturday for me. I just I feel like

(27:33):
maybe this is my bias to growing up in an
era where you had like Mike Tyson, Vander Holey feel
like all these great heavyweights and and now we get
to an era where you have your Floyd, but he
never fought pack out when they both were in their prime.
I I don't know. I mean, it's there. It's a
really legitimate challenger. Was planning a legitimate challenger to him?
He was he just doesn't have enough power that it

(27:56):
was a poly mall and Nagy Yeah, yeah, he was
like a man skilled, but like didn't have enough power
to really ever just ended quick well. And Canelo, I
think new early on this guy can't hear because Canalo
has got a great chin, and he just walked him
down and just started higher fight. He's a Mexican fighter.
Like if you don't have, like if you're not born

(28:18):
with a great chin, that it could it could, you
could hit the button on that. But yeah, if you
but if but if the boxing game, you know that
that's part of the culture is if you're going to
be a boxer, you had better be one tough mother
sucker and having a chin is part of it. Um,

(28:38):
you know, I did win the rounds. We did this
thing at the house where everybody. Yeah, I don't see
what I mean, just scored it. Well, you don't know.
You don't follow that account. You don't follow that account
on twitch that it's it's the kiss my ash oh
my scorecard account. I wasn't. Well that's the that's the

(28:58):
account that you jesus. Can we point out can we
point out who won their Breeders Cup bet? Yeah? Wire
too wired that horse. I don't know what was in

(29:20):
its system that he was trying that trip shot. He
was trying that guy that horses triple shot. You got
a right. I'm telling you that horse was destined for
great things. After the race, he wasn't thinking of it.
It was like it was in the zone. I thought

(29:42):
hot Rod Charlie had a shot. He was in the
pack kind of and I was like, all right, eventually
Nick sco is gonna die out. Never happened. That thing
they were holding that horse back from going wherever one
to go. I'm telling you it wasn't a race. Yeah,
he was trying to go breed somewhere. That document hors
you got milliers, Yeah, yeah, let's go. You always wrote

(30:14):
faster with five legs. Right now, Fox Sports Radio has
the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all

is the most valuable player to his team because you

(30:35):
can go through games this year for Baltimore and you
can identify, oh, they definitely would have lost that game
without Lamar Jackson. But you can say that about a
Pat mahomes lad team. And if we're saying this year,
then that's not close this year, Like, that's not the
case this year. If we're looking at it this year,
then you know you have a case. And they've got
how many what do they get? Like seventeen guys on

(30:57):
I R Baltimore the first time starting running back issues
at running back lebyan Bell. By the way, we're in
number seventeen at running back. Throws me off because fourteen,
Like are in fourteen? I'm like, what looks like a
running ball, lose weight, looks like a receiver man like
he used to be jacked up a little bit, like

(31:19):
he was heavier in college altogether, and then he lost
some weight when he came in and then he looked
a little heavy after his his I ate this year,
so it looks like he is back in shave. He
looks slim like a receiver. But I just I I
don't know what the hell the Ravens are. Lamar Jackson's
off their quarter, I agree, but but okay, But now
ask ask yourself the same question. Do you think Tampa

(31:41):
Bay is the same team without Tom Brady? If Tom
Brady goes out? Do we think that the Buffalo Bills
are the Buffalo Bills? If if if Josh Allen goes out,
I mean, I wouldn't wouldn't mind saying what that looks
like the old Mitch No more for the angle of
Mitch though, Like I'm curious in that scenario if he excels,

(32:03):
and it's almost like an indictment on the Bears and
Mattnegge and just that that whole deal. Like I'm one
more curious from that angle, not not for this debate.
And I think I think it's what's getting lost in
all of it is besides the fact that replacing Lamar Jackson,
who led them in rushing this past week, uh probably
will for the season, by the way, given the running
back situation, and also throw for at least over three

(32:24):
thousand yards, maybe four thousand yards. When it's all said
and done with seventeen games, you just don't find that, Like, like,
I'm sorry. You can throw whatever quarterback name you want up,
whatever player you want up, it's it's not going to
compare to a guy who leads his team into rushing
and also throws for over four thousand yards as a
quarterback that you you just can't replace that. I don't

(32:45):
know what this team is without him. His physical gifts
are a rarity. And and I understand you can throw
a Patrick Mahomes and everyone else up out there, but
the differences is when this dude is behind center, it
completely changes how you're gonna play. Having people Aaron Rodgers
into the mix. Rogers that that conversation too, and I listen,

(33:06):
I get where you're coming from. And those those are
eye popping stats. And you're right, you're not gonna find
somebody else who can bring more to the table in
terms of what they can do from that position. But
I will still throw I will still throw this out there,
and I will say, as it applies to this season,
we could look at it and it could be up
for debate, and maybe maybe Lamar is at the head

(33:28):
of that pack in terms of the most valuable player
to their team. But I will also say this, Lamar
Jackson hasn't proven that being that most valuable to his
team can get them beyond the second round of a playoff.
And so to me, while I'm still all, I mean, listen,
and then now that that blurs the lines because now

(33:49):
I'm looking out of Tom Brady and I'm saying that's
on tom Brady. If they don't get further than what
they get when they're playing, I'm saying that's cause of
Tom Brady. And that's rightfully so, because that's why he
rings to the table. You use Derrick Henry as an example, Yes,
they didn't get past them. Was that on Derrick Henry? Yes,
you gotta run the ball. If you're the reason why

(34:09):
they got there, then you should be the reason why
they keep going. I'm just saying, I mean to whom
I just getting. You know, he's called King Henry. M
vps of their team are going to face that every
single year. You know, it's not a team game. That's
what makes Tom Brady the goat is because that's what
he's he's judged by. That's what he's measured by and

(34:31):
he continues to deliver it. And he did it in
year one, in a COVID year with a team that
was what five hundred team the year before. I'm just
saying completely different roster, but that's fair
