they bring this back to Beantown for Game seven? We
will discuss. The NFL schedule is finally out, no more leaks.
We know what the matchups are and the NFL wants
us to believe. No, we have no idea whether or

(00:26):
not He's gonna sign with Pittsburgh, whether or not Aaron
Rodgers will be the quarterback. He just happens to be
playing the Jets in Week one. We'll get into all
that again with Albert Breer as well too, who goes
into deep dive territory when it comes to how the
scheduling process is done in the league. We've also got
a new contract for Derrick Henry. We've got a college
football playoff change. It's PGA Championship weekend in the world

(00:50):

Speaker 2 (02:00):
To the Western Conference Finals yet again, yet the Twins
winning ten straight games. The Vikings get a bye week
to open up the year against the Bears. Unbelievable day
to be a Minneapolis sports fan.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Congratulations to everybody involved.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Was to Scott Shapiro, Right, I mean, Scott's gonna be
excited about this.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Course he is.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
Yeah, Yeah, it can't be a surprise though, right, I mean,
that's what the series was heading for kind.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Of a without Steph.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Yeah, yeah, I mean.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
That that's a that was a you know, that was bad.
That's as bad a loss as you can get. And
you see the impact of what one player of Steph,
Steph's caliber, you know, what it represents. So it was
a tough matchup going in with Steph Curry and in
the series to not have Steph Curry at I think

(02:56):
we all, I think we all knew what, you know,
nature was going to run its course.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
So yeah, they just don't have enough firepower, you know,
without him, even with Jimmy Butler, even with the addition.
I think it's an example of you kind of see
the greatness of Steph. You know, in that moment we
talked about the not having Jimmy Butler for a game,
but the difference is, you know, Steph is, you know,
kind of the heart and soul of everything that that
team it really is. And I think also in regards

(03:22):
to just when they get down, his ability to kind
of get hot bring them back, he opens up so
many things I think for other people too, with the
way teams have to be concerned about him around the arc.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
So I just I look.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
At it and think it's a shame that sounded like
he made progress to make it back for Game five,
but just wasn't quite healthy enough, and obviously the team
couldn't hold it down to get into a Game six
to even give him a shot at being a part
of the rest of series. So it's a shame, but
it kind of is what it is. And you do
wonder if they're Golden State Warriors, you know, front office,

(03:56):
their brass obviously Steve Kerr, you know how they're looking
at this roster and what they're saying now moving forward,
is it you know, just staff do they try to
bring us in? You know, Giannis was quota to saying
a dream scenario him would be out in Golden State.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I can only imagine those two playing together.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
That would be awesome.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
I mean, they need one more, they need one more
if they were able to get one more score or
or one a legitimate like big man like kind of
like a big man that can you know, be diverse
and what they're able to do, but more so just
be able to protect the rim again, you know, against

(04:37):
against slashing teams and get rebounds. That would be you know,
that would definitely be a tremendous addition to that team.
You get somebody like Yannis on that team. I think
now they're back in the mix of of you know,
obviously being a super competitive team moving forward. But I

(04:57):
will say the obviously that is the obvious. I think
what isn't you know so much the obvious is what
will the Timberwolves do with this opportunity making it back
to the finals. And I gotta say I thought I
thought once they lost Towns, I didn't think they would

(05:20):
be as good. I mean, I know Towns kind of
disappeared on them in the playoffs somewhat because he just
didn't like playing down in the post. Like everything he
was doing was around the parameter, and you needed him
to be a more of a presence, you know, down

(05:42):
low for the team. And now, lo and behold, you
bring in John Randall, who isn't a true big man.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
But you look at John's's brother, Julius.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
John was playing dtackle.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Why did I call him John Randall? I'm a big
fan of John Randon.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I used to use man Madden backland in ten to
sixty four. Use always use.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Them and you hit like the top right button and
he slides over a little bit you know, chate Yeah
undercats O.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Anyway, Julius Julius Randall, I mean hopefully people understood what
I was saying. It is three am. Julius Randall has
been a tremendous addition to this team. He's given them grit,
he's He's given them a an element of what seems
like to me, a maturity level of leadership where that's

(06:36):
not a knock against anybody, It's not that knock against
an I'm just saying John Randall, Julius Randall brings a
He brings a level of professionalism with with with talent
that just it makes a difference. I think it makes
a difference. And it's something that I believe Edwards has

(06:57):
has benefited from. And so you know, and he played
a lot, They played a lot of minutes. They had
forty minutes last night. I didn't see that being an issue.
It didn't look as though they were wearing down or
anything like that. But as they move forward, they are
going to need and I will say this, they will

(07:17):
need more Anthony Edwards, and they will need to have
someone like Mike Connolly who is able to really really
create some spacing if he's on but sometimes he disappears
as well. They're going to need that strong guard play
from him to open up the floor in this next

(07:37):
this next series. I am obviously looking at Okac as
being being that that team, And like I said yesterday,
because I could have did that, I told you so
with this this series as well, I did say they
were going to get it over with, so you know,
obviously Okac.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Was going to need to get it done.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
You said you Thoughtnesota was going to have a problem
with Golden State or Houston like back in that series.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Yeah, but I think I told you guys yesterday. I
don't believe I said I said that. You definitely, I mean,
well Steph, well Steph Curry was in the game. Of
course you're going to have some issues with it. But anyways,
I did say yesterday that they did the Timberwolves.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Yeah he did. Once Steph was out and injured, he
claimed that, which proclamation.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Which everyone obviously you know with qes uh you know.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Minnesota was ten and a half point, Yeah, it was, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Yeah. The prediction was that okayc needs to finish out
what's going on and in their series so they can,
you know, try not to get too banged up or
the Nuggets. I mean, if the Nuggets forced this the seven,
then the Timberwolves are sitting very pretty I believe.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
So even though they have a.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Really really solid rotation with Thunder, they need to get
this done, you know, today, They need to get it
done today. If they can end the series today, I
think it's going to be a tonight. I think it's
gonna be that's gonna be the best series of the
whole thing. And I think I did say that yesterday

(09:17):
as well. That is going to be a fun series
to watch the Timberwolves in the Thunder and how they
match up. But the Timberwolves to me had the slight
differential in terms of the amount of firepower that they have,
and that may get exposed in this upcoming series. If

(09:39):
indeed the OKC Thunder win the series, they're pretty loaded.
Now you can take fatigue into consideration if if Denver
some way, somehow finds a way to push them to
seven games. So there's a lot, there's I mean not
a lot, but there's a few, you know, factors that
can play into you know, who had the distinct advantage

(10:01):
going into this next round of games versus versus not so,
but you got to give Minnesota a ton of credit
that there was a wounded team and the Warriors, and
they took them down like they were a wounded team.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
They didn't misery, right, Yeah, like you deer on the
side of the road.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
That's just like trying to catch.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
A fe breast, right yeah, leave a deer around.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
The Wolves will come out, right.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Jonas nows he's got that shovel in the back of
his truck.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Bet your sweet ass, I do.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Chris Finch, the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, had
this to say about their return to the Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
The challenge we laid down to our guys from day
one was quite simple. It was one question, you know,
were you a Western Conference Finals team or were you
a team that just happened to make the Western Conference Finals.
And there's only one way to prove that, go out
and do it again. And that was our mission all year.
And you know, took a lot of growing pains, but

(11:03):
the teams come together at the right time and playing
its best basketball.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
So there is Chris Finch has done a hell of
a job. He's got a superstar and Anthony Edwards and
the Tea Wolves are back and what should be a
fun matchup against either Denver or ok Se who ever
comes out of that series over in the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Staying alive, Listen, staying alive.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
You know you've got you've got a couple of different
conversations happening, one of which was, you know, Boston came
out inspired, responded, played better on defense, got a bunch
of great play from players who hadn't really done a
whole lot in the series up to that point, like
Luke Cornett, who was awesome. And then you've got the

(11:52):
discussion about maybe some of the officiating. Jalen Brunson, the
star of the New York Knicks, was asked afterwards very
awkwardly about his foul trouble in the third quarter, and
it went like this.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Chilling more about the third quarter? I mean, have you
ever gotten five files a quarter like that? And five
one quarter?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah, don't tut me say that.

Speaker 8 (12:20):
I mean, just how crazy was the quarter?

Speaker 9 (12:22):
I mean, I guess.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
I'm not going to say anything. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Okay, So.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
Clearly I think when you hear yourself said, you could
probably answer the question anyway, like in other words, maybe
you make that as a statement maybe her only mistake
in stating the obvious is that she should have stated
it as a statement versus a question like is it
strange to you that you got.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
Five files in one quarter?

Speaker 5 (12:52):
That would have probably been like did that throw you
off a little bit? Like did you feel weirded out
by the fact that a point guard a point guard?
And for what it's worth, any player, any player, even
Dennis Rottenman, got five fouls of what.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Gordon Okay, but every single one of those were fouls.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
You could call every single play a foul.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Okay, on every one of those was a foul.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
He's like the people arguing that, well, I mean, come on,
he should get superstar treatment, and he's a superstar player,
tough balls. If you foul somebody, you should get called
for it. And the idea that, well, there was five
called in a.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Quarter, so don't foul five times in a quarter.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
At what point is he not going to be held
accountable for poor defense being at a position and he
fouled him?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Like, how can you argue those aren't fouls? Okay, I
fouled out is what it is? Too bad?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I mean it is coming from a Boston fan. That
being said, I do agree with you.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
They were all fouls and at some point you have
to start playing more conservatively.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
It's what it is.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
It's the NBA, although I mean in general the entire
NBA playoffs. I think what I have noticed is the officiating.
It's actually maybe appreciate the officiate at the NFL level
or in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Game more so than in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Like I actually think it feels like it's a lot
easier to officiate in the NBA. And yet there's some
times where I'm like, it didn't look like it was
out on that guy, but okay, here we are, or
that should have been a foul, wasn't okay?

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Isn't that traveling? We're not calling that anymore, gotcha, Okay,
here we are.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
But then every once in a while they decide to
call it traveling. It's like, what, I don't get it.
So you can differentiate when someone travels versus when they're
doing a euro step or maybe there. It's crazy because
they used to teach you that your pivot foot was
it was so critical in what you're able to do
because that if you move the pivot foot, that's a travel.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
You don't see any of that you don't see any
of that. While you can.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
Argue the fact that all right a foul every single
time like you could do.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
You could call fouls.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Just like in football, you can call holding every single
every single play. You could call pass interference every single play, you.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
So whenever you decide to make the calls is what
makes things curious. And to get five fouls Brunson, to
get five fouls in one quarter, it is strange. It
is like you could call it what you want, Jonas,
but it's strange, and for what it's worth, it is
what it is. I mean that they got called in

(15:34):
and they lost the game. You know, I thought the
bigger story here was the fact that the Celtics didn't
lay down and didn't die. You know, Jalen Brown came
out and balled Derek White. If Derek White can continue
to play the way that he's playing the next time themselves,

(15:55):
why would that.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Be up time? I don't I don't think that qualifies Jonas.
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
That doesn't his last name, that doesn't count.

Speaker 10 (16:03):
No.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Oh, then Reggie White counts too up top racist?

Speaker 2 (16:09):
So you don't want Jalen Brown then, huh racist? My
wife somewhere says up top, dang, my wife says it anyway,
And it's it's interesting because to see to see mister
White step in, step up and do what he needed

(16:31):
to do for the team. Uh, it makes you wonder this.
You know, when adversity hits, it creates opportunity. And if
opportunity comes knocking, if you're prepared, you know, then then
there's amazingness that goes along with it. They clearly rode
him because and pause, he played the most minutes and

(16:55):
he scored scored the most points.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
And and so if they can can find a level
of balance with Derek White and Jalen Brown in a way,
you know, Derek White could be that de facto you
know Tatum in the scenario. And I don't think that
that's an understatement either. I don't think it's a reach.
I think that it's very very if I am the

(17:20):
New York Knicks. It's very concerning if I'm the Knicks,
because Derek White stepped up. So now you have Drew Holliday.
He plays his role, plays his role well. He's a facilitator.
He can get things going on the defense side of
the of the court. He can he can slash, he
can create spacing for these other guys. You gotta download

(17:42):
presence in Horford. If Perzingis can can do anything, If
if Perzingis can bring just a little bit more to
the table than what he did in yesterday's game, that
would be a tremendous boost for them. They still have
enough talent where you'd say, man, they're so deep and

(18:04):
they're so loaded that they can get through this series.
They can make it into the series with Indian Indiana
and I you know, with this group, if they actually
jailed together. Sure you're gonna miss what what Tatum brings
to the to the to the you know, to the party.
But this is a team that still is talented enough

(18:27):
to actually be able to make it into the NBA Finals.
If they can pull together, if Derek White can do
what he needs to do, if Perzingis can bring something
to the table again, and Jalen Brown doesn't melt down,
they can do it.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
Man.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Yesterday, see, yesterday's game made me a believer that they
still can get this pulled the series back to together
for the you know, and get out of it.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
I don't know if you guys have felt the same way,
but even when Jason Tatum was in the lineup. I
think Derek White's been their best player, Like he's been
their most consistent.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
He did he shows up with the playoffs has been great.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
By the way.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Uh, the Porzingis discussion, Uh, this is a bit alarming
from Joe Missoula afterwards. Porzingis, who did not look good
in the first play but he didn't play in the
second half. Here was Missoula, the Celtics head coach, discussing
his decision not to play KP in the second half.

Speaker 8 (19:21):
Joe, You've always trusted your core lineup. You don't change
like the main lineup a Tony, trust your top players.
So making the switch going away from KP for the
second half, just how difficult of a decision has it been?
Kind of maybe evaluating that throughout the series and then
making that call tonight.

Speaker 10 (19:38):
I mean he did, I mean, he couldn't breathe, and
you know, so he was available if absolutely necessary, and
so you know, that was just a decision between me
and him. He was having just difficulties breathing, but he
wanted to be out there, and uh, you know, if
we absolutely needed him, we would have been able to
go to him.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
And reny on him. But you've seen a lot of
that this year.

Speaker 10 (19:57):
Is changing the lineup at halftime is something that we've
done a lot, you know, in this year, because it
just adds a different dimension and can change some subpatters
throughout the game. So I took credit to the guys
just buying into what gives us the best chance to
win each and every night. And you know I would
be ready for us.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
I mean, oxygen feels like an important issue.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
Expand on that maybe just a little bit, I mean
pretty serious.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
So I mentioned this last week that nobody wants to
have the discussion. It's just kind of like, ah, yeah,
he's dealing with something. He missed eight games during the
regular season because of an illness, Like but they'll let
you know, non COVID eight games during the regular season
and he's never been the same since, and nobody's having
conversations about it. Nobody's asking maybe like a deeper look

(20:46):
into what's going on. He just said the guy he
couldn't play the guy because he couldn't breathe. Like, I
don't know, like oxygen sounds like an important aspect of
playing in an NBA game. I would assume you need
a decent oxygen to be able to play, and he
couldn't breathe last night to play in the second half.
It's just no, just wow whatever. Hopefully you know he'll

(21:07):
give us something in the next game.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
I don't know, a personal opinion between or a personal
decision between the.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Two of them.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
You can't breathe. I think that's a decision between them
and the doctor.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
And God, I'll say it's it's alarming, right, I mean, Jonas,
you told me one time you brew through your ears.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
So that is a good point. I am known for that.
That is a great point.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
That was That was actually my description on bumble. So yeah,
solid point there. I forgot about that.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
And what is the.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
What's the benefit of being able to breathe through your
ears anyway?

Speaker 6 (21:46):
You know, I don't know, man.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
It's two pros and a couple of.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Unbelievable. It is unbelievable, all right. It is two pros
and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
knocks with you. So we all have the usuals coming
up later on. We've got another edition of In case
you missed it. We've also got Lee's Leftovers. There's a
big event coming up this weekend. It starts today. We
are going to take our picks. We're going to call
our shots, so to speak, when it comes to that event. Also,
Albert Breros stop by an hour three of the program

(22:20):
when we've got a ton to talk about with the
NFL schedule release, etc.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
Etc.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
All that is yours here take you all the way
up until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
But I'm sure this was just coincidental.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
The NFL appears to have some information on one move
in the NFL and one move in their league regarding
a star quarterback. We'll get into the details on that
for you next here on FSR.

Speaker 11 (22:44):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Two Pros and a Couple of Joe, Fox More Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up a little over fifteen minutes from now. One of
the best to ever do it is back kind of
in the world of sports. We'll explain how that's yours again.
A little over fifteen minutes from now, the NFL schedule
was fully released.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Oh last night, no more, no more leaks. The leak
was gone.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Ronoval Crouse, but didn't have the sports. The Colts video
made it an hour before they.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Had to take it down. By the way, what do
you think rest of the Colts The Colts people.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Are assuming that the Colts took it down because there
was you know, some depictions of Minecraft. By the way,
I don't even know what Minecraft is. That's some a
lot of Minecraft, a lot of Minecraft going like Sovie
just came out, so you know, some nerd lego movie
modern day legos you build and it's absolutely.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
Zero sense to me, bro like zero sense. I had
to go to the movie to see it. I saw
the movie. I went to sleep halfway through the movie.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
That's about right.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
I just didn't understand it. I didn't understand what makes it?

Speaker 4 (24:09):
You know, Well, the understanding of this particular thing was
Tyreek Hill I think was depicted as a dolphin and
they had the coast guard come up. It looked like
the coast guard was arresting him. So that is the
assumb show as.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
To why, Hey, god forbid they do a documentary, God forbid.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
What do you want to do? Tell lies? Have him
winning a super Bowl?

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Come on, Dolphins have very very high sex drives. Man,
you know, I'm just saying that's true.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
I didn't know what that what that doesn't do.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
With anything, but there's a lot to do with everything.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
To who they depicted, well, by the way, I've heard
that number has grown exponentially.

Speaker 9 (25:00):
Oh yeah, you go, yeah, five to ten to we
don't even know at this point.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
No, don't stay healthy, keep playing.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
He's in for a big season this year.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
He's in for a big season.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
There was always the other one.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Patrick Mahomes's dad was depicted as a frog trying to
stop a fight between his dad and John Rocker was
the other one. Yeah, I mean, come on, what's the
problem we can't have?

Speaker 3 (25:30):
What the problem is with these videos?

Speaker 6 (25:33):
One?

Speaker 3 (25:34):
I wonder if the department who.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Creates them actually has the okay of the owner, like
the GM or whoever else, because with the cold situation.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
It feels like that was like the type of deal
where they.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Go, oh, just wait, we're gonna release everyone gets to
watch it, and then they watch it and then they're
they're sitting there for a second, going what idiot put
this together and thought that they could actually keep this up,
Like we can't put this out there in front of
a bunch of people, like we're gonna get sued or
there's gonna be some sort of issue here. It kind
of feels like that goes on with some organizations. Maybe
that happened with the Colts. What was interesting to me

(26:12):
was watching the difference in Minecraft, because there's a number
of teams that used it.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Did you see the Jets? I don't.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I might have seen highlights.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Go go and watch the Jets if you can't. I
don't know if like what they said was true or not.
It's felt like they were late to the game and
it sounded like they had something else planned that they
went with something else instead. Wasn't sure if that was
just for the sake of what they were doing. But
I couldn't tell if I liked it or not. It
was one of those ones where it kind of zooms
in and then it zooms in, and then it zooms in.

(26:42):
It keeps like zooming into smaller things in the picture.
I found it entertaining, but at the end of it,
I was like, this is kind of un original, Like
didn't we see a team do that last year?

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah, I'm not really a good whole themed schedule releases,
like just drop it, like, here's what we got, here's
who we're playing, Go buy some tickets, come to the game,
like that's it.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I thought the Bills was good.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Alan Iverson, Yeah, what's the Why wouldn't he have done
the Eagles? Like is there are some issue going on
there or what?

Speaker 9 (27:11):
Like, what's the I mean, I just maybe they didn't
think of it. I don't think it was just like
up for grabs.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
I think the Buffalo Bills thought of it, and you know,
it was a funny little skit.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
It was good.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Pure coincidence. I'm sure that you know.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
The the Jets host the Pittsburgh Steelers Week one, purely coincidence,
like like just has nothing to do with who potentially
could be the quarterback for the for the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Uh are still waiting on I'm waiting for But oh,
you guys aren't banking on Mason Rudolph.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Yeah, I gather no, I mean no, we're not.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
I'm sure sure by the way, I do like how
the NFL. The NFL made sure the NFL made sure
to put it early in the year, just just so
we're safe. We can't get that matchup. When Rogers does
sign with the Pitchering Steelers, we don't have to worry
about anything popping up or an injury or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
We can get that out of the way.

Speaker 5 (28:02):
And I mean, but was that that decision made prematurely
to you know, the the idea that Aaron Rott not prematurely,
but like just before the idea of Aaron Rodgers going
to the Steelers. I mean, you know what I mean?
I mean, does that make any sense? I mean, you
think they purely made that decision based off of.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Here's what you're asking.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
You're asking if they're purely making that decision based on
Justin Fields, who was also a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback
starting for the Jets, is what you're asking.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Sure, I guess that's a good I guess that's a
good pool, right, I guess, because.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Whether Rogers is there or not, there is that.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
Angle of all this that there is that angle. There
is that angle? Is that I mean? Is that a
good angle?

Speaker 5 (28:48):
Is that a big I guess if Justin Fields went
in there as a starter and won against Pittsburgh, that
would be a great angle. It's a postgame, great postgame angle, ye.
I mean, look, it's it's a storyline. It's one where
you look at some of the matchups throughout Week one.
They don't all have great storylines. Some of the more
based on the matchup. So it's definitely a storyline. It's
definitely something to keep an eye on. But like I said,

(29:10):
I think it's going to be Aaron Rodgers versus Justin
Fields when.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
It's all said and done.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
I also think we're underestimating that if you look at
how last year went with the Jets and Rogers, who
was largely around the team in the offseason, with the
exception of one period of time which happened to be
the mandatory mini camp, which became that you know, whole
topic of discussion during the course of this summer, he

(29:37):
gets to avoid all of that. Maybe he doesn't sign
with the team during this period of time. So there
is that thought to all this that you know, Rogers
at this point in his career, you know, would help
for him to be with the team, especially a new team. Guys,
he's throwing to everything else. Sure, but you know he
also maybe not a plan on being there anyway. So

(29:59):
if that's the case, then it's maybe better off just
not even to be signed. Not I have to worry
about being fine. I don't have to worry about putting
the team in that position. I do wonder if they
talked about that or have talked about that, considering how
Brett Farve used to do things, you know, back during
the end of his career, and how he was handling stuff,
but also how last year went and the trip to

(30:21):
Egypt that seemed to rub a lot of people the.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Wrong way because the timing of all of it.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah, so now if he wants to go smoke weed
on the back of a camel, he doesn't have any
obligation to any TMV he hasn't signed yet.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Makes sense.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
I mean, here's here's the only thing I'll say about
that trip is did did you see all that stuff
that came out about the Pyramids? It was like the
whole city and stuff, but everything else that came out.
Maybe he got a sneak peak of all that stuff
before everyone else.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Oh, they they still haven't figured out how those things
got built.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Stories You know you guys got that theory. So what
is the AI theory? Because I've looked at up I've
heard there's like water, like there's there's water. They used
water to transport some of the blocks in like that.
Some of the uh I've heard, you know, alien involvement.

(31:11):
I've heard an extraterrestrial involvement, Like there's been a slating
that in there. Let me just saying there's a there's
a lot a lot of speculation about how those things
were even built because they're still standing. They still seem
to be, uh, functioning properly, and they were built a
long ass time ago before any technican.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
Go look into the most recent discovery like what they
found inside you.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
I mean, he told you to go look on Hey,
speaking of the Jets, did you see there? Did you
guys see their schedule release video that they posted on social.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
It's pretty creative.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
Yeah, that's what I was just talking about earlier.

Speaker 6 (31:45):
Okay, I thought you were talking about the one they
kept zooming in.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Yeah, they kept zooming Yeah, so the Jets, like he
kept zooming in, zooming in.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
They talked about how they were going to do something
else and then they ended up dropping.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
That with you right, Yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 6 (31:58):
It's pretty cool. It's a pretty cool video.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Look, I kept zooming in on the Jets schedule and
I saw eleven L's for some reason.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
I don't know you were zooming.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
You didn't have to zoom in because the video did
the zooming for you.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
That is a funny little bit.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Just like you take your fingers put them together.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I know we're up against a little bit. Can we
get the some game show music though? Real fast?

Speaker 11 (32:18):
All right?

Speaker 4 (32:21):
Oh yep, it's that time for guess which teams don't
have a game in primetime? Jonas Knox, You'll be first up.
Which NFL team has zero games in primetime this season?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Well, based on the fact that.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Even their starting quarterback doesn't want to be there anymore
and he just dupped and retired less than a week ago,
I'm gonna go the New Orleans Saints as being one
of them.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Correct, The New Orleans Saints have his zero games in primetime.
LaVar Arrington, you were up next. There are two more teams.
Can you name one of the next two that.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
Has no like? You gotta go with the Panthers, right,
I mean they're.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
That is wrong, Yeah, that is wrong. Carolina Panthers actually
do have a game in prime Jonas knocks back to you,
you have a chance to steal.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Here, got them.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Let me let me think of what would be a
got A team that should have very little expectations based
on what they go.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
With Carolinta Panthers isn't one of those.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
I would go with the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
I'm going to say the.

Speaker 6 (33:35):
Right.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
That's correct, the Cleveland brown You're looking for these seconds
of three teams that have zero games in prime time, LeVar,
last chance?

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Looking, can you name the third team that has no
games in prime time?

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (33:56):
I mean the Titans did get the number one overall pick.
I mean they so they stunk. They might still stink.
What about the Titans?

Speaker 3 (34:03):
That is correct? Titans have zero games?

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I mean, even though I'm not, I should be, but
the Titans one.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
I totally disagree with the NFL not put him in primetime.
He's the number one pick, Like, why would you not
feature them? They've got Indianapolis getting a primetime game. Who
gives a crap about Indianapolis other than their their schedule
release video?

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Until Levar's point, I'd rather see the Tennessee Tits and
the number one overall pick with what you said as
opposed to the Carolina Panthers, Like the Panthers seem like
one of those teams with the least amount of buzz
around them. It was a bit surprising. Hell, I'll even
throw the Browns in there, like the fact that the
Browns don't have a primetime game. I don't care what

(34:47):
people say about the quarterback situation. They still have a
decent roster around them. There's still stars like Miles Garrett.
There's still going to be some good AFC North like
matchups and battles.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
I just I don't think they're.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Gonna be that that bad of a team this year. Like,
I think they'll be competitive. So it's a bit surprising
dating to throw them a bone get them an early primetime.
But is what it is, man. That's that's what By
the way, that's what the NFL. Don't blame us, all right,
that is what the NFL thinks of you, Cleveland, Tennessee
and New Orleans. They make the schedule, they think you're

(35:22):
going to stink. It's not on us. We're just pointing
it out to you, just so you know the NFL
thinks those three teams are gonna stink this year.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Meanwhile, Dallas gets six games in primetime. It's can't help themselves.
Whatever whirl them in. You know, the only Kansas City's
got more primetime games than the Cowboys this year. All right,
makes sense they've got more than Philly. But okay. It

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Guys.

Speaker 12 (37:43):
In case you missed this, production has started on Amazon.
MGM Studio's new movie titled Madden of Course, starring Nicholas
Cage as John Madden, also has Christian Bill's Al Davis,
and photos have been released first looks of production photos
of Madden and eld and Christian Bale.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Have you guys seen these photos?

Speaker 6 (38:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:03):
Yes, I have, Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
What do you think so far?

Speaker 12 (38:06):
I mean, pretty obvious Nicholas Cage, Christian Bale's pretty unrecognizable
as Al Davis. But what do you think of the
casting of mister Nicholas Cage?

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Yeah, Jonas, what do you think, buddy?

Speaker 1 (38:16):
It's awful.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
He's a bad actor and unfortunately one of the greatest
of all time. And John Madden is going to be
depicted by a guy who's a subpar actor and it's
a shame. Christian balees so Al Davis like he's got
to be feeling good about things. But if I'm John Madden,
I'm a little pissed. Couldn't get anybody better.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Look, I'm not going to judge until I see the movie.
Hopefully I'll have a chance to see it, but the
depictions so far not that bad. You could see a resemblance.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
I don't know if he's the perfect cast, but you
can see a resemblance.

Speaker 12 (38:51):
The suit he's wearing is a He definitely has the
body for it.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
With the suit. They got that down.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
I have a hard time with sports depictions when I
know or got to watch the person that they're portraying.
Like if I've seen it and I know the story
and I got to watch them in real life, I
have a hard time to.

Speaker 6 (39:14):
Have nailed it. Though.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
I feel like Jamie Fox nailed Ray. How many people
nailed did he? Being being yeah, you don't think so,
I don't know. It's always tough for me.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
To see whether or not someone nailed a performance of
someone who's blind because I'm not blind, so I don't
know what that feels like. So my like me watching
I could say, yeah, that feels like he nailed it.
There might be blind people.

Speaker 9 (39:43):
Who obviously can't watch, who are like, that's nothing like
what it's really like.

Speaker 12 (39:46):
You know, who did nail it was Zachary Levi as
Kurt Warner, an American underdog.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Great movie. Oh my god, you watched that. No, I
did not, how.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
Different for hour or two. You just threw me all
the way off on it. That Jamie Fox crushed Ray
crushed even.

Speaker 6 (40:07):
If you couldn't see.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
How do you know? How do you know?

Speaker 5 (40:12):
I think people may have told him
