Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, I just want to do anything for Jonas.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I know's yeah, that's every day. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Please now leave that for the for the new beestn'.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Don't you usually kind of hammer people for celebrating this
and I realized there was like a bigger holiday.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, it's September sixteenth is the actual Mexican Independence Day.
This is just sort of the what they call the
whitewash holiday out here.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Glad, it's that. What does that mean, Glad? Is that
it's just it's true. I mean, what if it was blackwashed,
you know, it would it be more offensive? Is that?
Is that even a thing? I don't know. Okay, I'm
not familiar. We ain't even gotten the show good, we
ain't three minutes in.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
But but yeah, it's it's more, it's not really celebrating.
None of the in laws actually even acknowledge it. It's
mostly people that are just looking for an excuse to
drink in a Mexican cante Mexico. They want to go out,
they want to get like Jerry Jones for example. Jerry's
a big fan. But yeah, it's not really a big celebration.

(02:56):
Is it in the Midwest? The sign to not even
a big deal in the Midwest? Or is it just
a socou thing.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
It's a deal. I don't know that it's a big deal. Like,
I don't I don't really know anyone who's running around
being like yeah, singer to Mayo. I mean, it's an
excuse to drink, you know, and margarita or something.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, one of those Margarita can't be a regularly it's
got to be.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
I mean, if you had a Guinness on Saint Patrick's Day,
is that you're gonna make fun of that too.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I mean, I'm just saying it doesn't have to be
a Guinness on Saint Patty's Day.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I think people would like to, Okay, Kentucky Derby Minchula,
like people would like to, you know, have a drink
that embodies the spirit of the holiday.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Bad drink drink on June team. See. Oh that's the
hell of an answer. Honestly, I thought I stumped John that. Wow. Wow,

(04:00):
that is the black Man's kryptonite, by the way, really,
oh gosh. It brings out so many different emotions, like
I don't mess with dark liquor broh, especially Hennessy. I
don't know what they put in that joint, but it
just don't mix well with us. Man. It don't do
you sip it or shoot it. I've seen the best
people are sippers like Hennessy is like like and I

(04:24):
was a Vsop, like I was a King Louis the Third,
like King Louis like like Sipper when I did it,
and it just brings out the worst of you. I
just I know people that had drank Hennessy that are
from the same background as me can relate to what
I'm saying. It just brings out the worst in you.

(04:46):
So I don't mess with that ass. Brouh No, no
Hennessy for your boy. And you know what's crazy, Like
anybody that I've ever seen sip Hennessy, especially like if
they're like a public figure some way, somehow, they end
up in trouble and first thing I'd be thinking about
is they was sipping Hennessy.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
So they Henny, You've seen multiple people drink Hennessy when
you've been out in public, and then you've.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Oh, well, it's a it's a again, it's a common
it's a common it's a it's a common drink for
us when we go out. It's a common drink. Hennessy
is like Henny on the rocks, Henny. You know they
they came out with different flavors, so they had like
the apple flavor. They got the apple flavor.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Us, why can't I have Hennessy? I can't go out
and order Hennessy somewhere?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yes, you can. I didn't say you you can't. It's
not you're not black, you can't have in Hennessy. But
it's it's a it's it's a drink we we like.
Makes you angry. Oh see, angry is such. It makes
it aggressive, It makes it sound aggressive, but it does.

(05:54):
It does open you up to your emotions. Hennessy opens
the game way to your emotions. And it doesn't necessarily
have to be anger, but it does a lot of
times lead to it. I mean, like you could start
off you'd be like, man, a hard day, I worked today, man.

(06:19):
And they can start off like as simple as that,
you know, or she told me I was, I wasn't
doing right. You know, it could start off like that.
Like it just it's a gateway to your emotions. And
for some reason, you know, when when you tap into
a person's emotions, then generally speaking, what comes next after,

(06:41):
like you know, a sad moment, you know, you know
how they go, the coping mechanisms, the grieving. It creates grieving.
So stay away from Hennessy. And I'm sorry. If we
was gonna get Hinny as a sponsor, I'm sorry, I wouldn't.
I would not endorse Hennessy, I will I won't. I
won't do reads for Hennessy. I won't because I know

(07:01):
what it does to my community.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
So Jonas, you aren't doing anything for sinker to mitos today?

Speaker 5 (07:07):
No?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Probably not. Do they put Hennessy and margarita's? Uh? No?
I thought, I know? Have they ever done? Can you
do a Hennessy margarita? I don't know. Put some sweet
and sour.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
You can make it a margarita?

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Can you little salt in the rim?

Speaker 6 (07:24):
I don't see why not?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Cavasier? I mean if you had to, But the concoction
you drink? What's the the uh? What's your your two.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Drinks Long Island and Servesa? Okay? I thought it was
like it's a halfy. Though I don't do a regular
regular glass of Long Island. It's like almost like a
half glass with a Mexican beer.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Are right?

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Heney rita is a thing. It's called a sneaky strong cocktail.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
See sneaky strong. It's they know what they did.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
So you do a half Mexican drink. No, I drink
a full bottle. I get a bottle of beer. Okay,
it's a half, it's a half. Long Alley you.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Know, as I'm reading about Hennessey, I'm realizing Hennessy Black.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Is forty three ABV. It's usually a forty percent otherwise.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I'm just telling you they're trying to get you in trouble. Bruh.
It was met, it was meant. I mean, get you
in trouble. That's all I know.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Why is the Hennessy Black version has to have to
be more. I'll caohol provolume.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I can tell you why. Why, Because you're gonna get
the party popping, and I mean popping.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
I mean it is French, right, I don't know, man,
I think that was the origin of it.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
I don't know. But it wasn't African.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
France.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
It didn't come from Africa.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
It's messed up over there in France. I'm telling you.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Ask Wemby, well he took was I told y'all, I
told you I could be a series. Now.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I don't know how. I mean. It was obviously a struggle,
but it might be a struggle of a series. Hey man,
I told y'all, damn t well.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I didn't think Anthonys was gonna play.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I didn't the fact that he in the fact that
he didn't, he did held up his end of the
bargain and in particularly the fourth quarter was awesome.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I love him, man, he's such he is such a
fun player to watch.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I think he's my favorite player in the league. I mean,
why wouldn't he be, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (09:37):
He sets a tone. He was drinking, he made a
mistake and was like, you know what, I'm gonna just
pay you for the whole eighteen and he got the
best of me. Take this, Take this for the whole eighteen.
You know she's complaining. Now you know she's circled back around,
and it's complaining baby mama, the one that got the
eighteen years up front. M Anyway, that's a whole other topic. Yeah,

(10:01):
i'd rather you know, he can ball though at them around.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
But that's what it is. Oh well, you have choices
to make. It's a different type.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
That's the preciow conversation you've been and I would have
you got to weigh that out. If you decide to
say I do, then yeah, you know, I get it.
But if you don't, you know, that's that's by case
that's case by casey because sometimes that hen he could
get in the way. Man, next year, you know, you
come back to yourself. And nine months later you got

(10:32):
to talk to someone you want to you.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Want to hear a little little ant man. Come on,
let's hear it spoke coast about his ya to stop
baiting me.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Like that, man, like on these racial these racial conversations,
people think that I'm a racist man. And I don't
even know how.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
We'll say happy sinker de my o.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Yeah, we just know because y'all turned it into a
racial thing.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
You guys accuse me of saying I can't drink the
the you know, drink of that particular.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
People do y'all celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Midwest.
That's what he did. He turned it.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
I said, yeah, look, people in the Midwest would take
any excuse me, all right, that's just that's just the truth.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
But stop baiting.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
No.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
But but it's also my wife never even really understood
or acknowledged Saint Patti's Day until we got married, and
I was like, you know, listen, there's all sorts of stuff,
you know, around the house. I mean, can I get
a little love? Can Saint Patty's Day be a celebration?
And then she realized, oh, I had no idea growing up.
They never celebrated any of that, so you just sort

(11:37):
of learned through different cultures, you know, through How did you.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
Explain Saint Patrick's Day to your wife? That's this one
day where I drink a lot of alcohol and blackout.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
No Irish Irish, I told her because and I think
we discussed this. I don't believe this is actually an
Irish dish. But corned beef and cabbage is that even Irish?
I'm not even sure if that's an Irish dish, But
growing up, my mom always made that, So she was Irish.
They grew up that way, and so she would always
make you know, for Saint Patti's Day, Irish Polish, Yeah,

(12:11):
whatever it was, it was great, and so that we
just always celebrated that. You know, she would have either
be green around the house to just be like a
thing growing up.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Did you make your beer green? Did she make the
bear green?

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I did it one time, and then it gets in
your It gets in your fingernails, and it's just a
pain in the ass. I'm like, I don't need a
green beer. Just can I have a beer and I'll
just drink it real fast.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Does it turned your mouth green? I've never had a
green beer. I've had green eggs and ham when I
was in kindergarten. For some reason, I vividly remember that.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Corn beef and cabbage.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
So it's Irish American dish.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah it is, Okay, it is.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
That's great, but Irish American, which means that it could
be Irish mixed with something else, right.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah, okay, but yeah, so that was Yeah, that's how
that's how she learned to celebrate it, and I've learned
through her parts of the Mexican culture.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
She celebrates Saint Patrick's.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
So now she does loves it, loves it.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
So she she goes all out has like.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, she decorates the house.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
No, there's none of that. She decorates the house. She yeah,
she just she's into that, and that's that's cool. So
it worked.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
He looks for which one do you get excited for?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
H h, New Year's really new Year?

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Like that's like the latest one.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
I mean, that's the one I enjoy, although I'll be honestly,
the older I've gotten, I think Fourth.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Of July might be my favorite holiday.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I like Fourth of July. It's just but Fourth of
July is like an all day thing. Yeah, but it's
not a New Year's is like at least you get
to like rest, Like I can chill out during the
day because I like to be lazy. So then then
I can turn up at night and then it's only

(13:59):
four a couple hours. Like I'm not here for I'm
here for a good time, but I'm not here for
a long time. So I want to have my fun
in small windows of time and opportunity. Fourth of July
Saint Patty's Day. That's like all day. Like I can't
do that. I don't. I don't do the all day thing.

(14:20):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Okay, So how is so New Year's just for a night? Yes?

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Like literally, like I'll get up at like or get
into it, get in the mood. If we're hanging at
the house, if we're going to go out and have
a cocktail, get food, it's later. You don't leave until
like ten or something like that.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Nine.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
You know, have a good time. It hits midnight. Ah,
Happy New Year. Da Da da da da da da.
Then you go home and you go to sleep, and
it's just like it never happened. I like to keep
it simple, you know, y'all like to like do marathon
party and then Marathon I can't do that.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Yeah, let's get checked up, man.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I mean, think about think about this right, think about this.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Every time we've done stupid every time because the super
Bowl could be that. I mean a lot of people
get caught up and sucked into the super Bowl. How
many times do y'all see me out or or moving
around or doing anything? You don't see me.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
But you sure will get the lap there without.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Say that again? Well, well I'll say this. I'll say this.
Which made it made this year you stupid? It made
this year super Bowl a real drag. If you don't
like Scott, you know my man? Don you know Julie,
if you're listening, can you just make sure our hotel

(15:43):
has a solid lobby bar, please please?

Speaker 3 (15:48):
That was That was more like a coffee shop.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
It was no good man. They served, but that's not
what it is. You can't you can't do the communal
gathering like we did in New Orleans. That was I saw.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
What was interesting was the people on Trank who were outside,
right outside, because they were almost like art, you know,
as you.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
They were the scenery.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
They were Yeah, like I was just sitting there stiff
as a.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Board, like just pick them up while they're in their
state of what they are, put them in the in Uh,
what was the trend you know when everyone.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Yeah, what was a trend though when they used to
play that song name of the song.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Yeah, but no, no, no no, everyone would like stand still.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. And then it start
off doom doom no no, and it's like starts off
and then.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
There's a real glad please her it's black, be there
there it is, yeah, there it is, Yeah, black, you
gotta stay still.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Do you remember this, Jonas.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
It's the kind of there just be videos of people
standing standing the song.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
It's like the thriller music video.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Yeah, because the thriller they were actually was.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
The Black Beatles song and not the Harlem Shake song.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
It's not Harlem Shake.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
No, that was just a video. People would just start
dancing and stuff.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
That was a different.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Du dun dud.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
That's like that's yeah, that's that's the one. Like right here, you're.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
You're still because everyone would be still right here, right here,
you're staying in the room.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
And called the you can't move right now, don't move,
don't move, Jonus.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
You can't move, you can't move. You gotta stay still.
You gotta stay still, can't move. You got to say
right where you're at, We're getting there. Now, you can
start going right there now, now, everybody start turning out right.
That's that's a horrible dance. That's horrible. Assume me with

(17:56):
a machine gun.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
That is a mannequin challenge, that's what it was called. Yeah,
just so you put them addicts and like some clothes.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Like everyone could participate in this because you didn't really
have to dance.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
You said to be still for maxing the majority of it.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
And then just go back to what you were doing. Yeah,
Like if you were drinking, you stop, Like if they
got we're going to do this for social you got
your drinking and you just stop. So you got to
try to make sure you're in a comfortable position so
you don't move because you know you'll see people moving,
you know, like you.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Going going back to the initial point though of how
he got here?

Speaker 1 (18:36):
How did we get here?

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yes, Jonas, People in the Midwest celebrates syncre to my
own because they'd like the chance to drink and it
ties into a well, I guess. A viral receipt from
a Detroit Tigers game Camerica Park, where I was basically saying,
inflations out of control. Because you got a two hundred
and almost eighty dollars receipt from going to one of

(18:59):
the vendors. Now, on this receipt he ordered three pepsis.
There's really two bucks a pop for six bucks total,
four hot dogs for seven bucks a pop. That was
twenty eight one cotton candy for nine bucks.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Okay, that's crazy.

Speaker 8 (19:14):
So the last line item was seventeen course lights thirteen
dollars a pot, which equated to about.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Two and twenty bucks.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Is a lot of every single item you just named off.
That's ridiculous price.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
I actually would argue a two dollars pepsi is not expensive.
I just remember, hold on, a hot dog is not
that bad.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
That's horrible.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
You could get like three packs of hot dogs for
seven dollars. Yeah, I guess if you're going out, If
you're going out, you just have to expect that you're
gonna get screwed a little bit on all your.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Pain you can get.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
And I'm assuming I'm hoping he's like twenty ounce of
course lights, because you can get a twelve back of
course life.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Long any type of cocktail here in California is literally
eighteen and nineteen dollars.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
By the way, stupid. If they got four hot dogs,
there's four people who.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Are and die never seen.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Oh geez, I'm just saying that what you bade him, Brady, No,
I can't can't do it. Yeah, anybody at this point,
anybody complaining about the prices that you pay to go
out to a game.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I'm living in Cali.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Well, it's just that that's just part of doing business.
It's like complaining about how much you know a bag
of chips is at the airport, Well eat before you go. Like,
I don't have to tell you that when you go
out there, you're gonna get screwed on the cost of
some of this stuff.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
You knew you were screwed out here when you went
to Chili's. I'm a Chili's and my drink was nineteen dollars.
That's wild.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Like what I just.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
I saw a report that apparently adults now are pregaming
like they did.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Back in Corge.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
So you ain't got to drink out exactly road. So
does they call them to your pregame and hit it
with a rollo?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Brady Murphy's bleachers, all right, it's some some old style.
Before the game, people were camping out there until right
before first pitch, before they had to go into the
stadium to try and because they weren't.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Going to deal with it, sent to like, hey, what
y'all had to have been just hot boxing with what
y'all had going on, because you ain't supposed to smell
like that, and and you got sunglasses on it. People
are like, why do people wear sunglasses at night?

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Because they Fraed cried up, that's what you gotta do, man,
I'll need you to see my eyes little days.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
I've never under stood that, though I get you don't
want to see your eyes, are you more potentially at
risk to fall.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Once you get used to it? Which I'm not a
sunglass wearer at night, by the way, I just do
not understand why you would make that a part of
your aesthetic, even if you got the red eye. I
just that's just not my thing. And and if you're
in a dark space, it literally I tried it one
time and I'm like, I can't see anything.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
I was walking around, I couldn't I can't see anything.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
So I took them off. It never did it again,
I don't know, man, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
I felt like it's in part for that, but also
you kind of want to look croos.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's when it started though. It started to be if
you trip over, it's not it's not, and and and again.
It turned out to be style. Now it's for the
fashion sense of it all. But the originators of who
was doing it, Yeah, the originators they yeah, potheads. Yeah
they were high. Yeah he was high.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Hold on, you're saying Corey Hart was high as hell
when he was doing this. Bruh.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Maybe this song is about weed. I never thought about that.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
It's like from the eighties.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, I mean, think about when you was getting high.
I mean not you. But I'm just saying, born in
nineteen eighty four, the highest of highs. Like you thought
this trank and all that stuff is new, take a
trip back in the time machine and go to the eighties.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
I would venture to guess the guy with his pants
down around his ankles, frozen in time wasn't on grass.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
That guy was. Yeah, but they they were using coke
and crack back then.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
No one's doing Quailers anymore, no, I mean they they
are still too.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Cats is still doing that booger suger. But they all
like this whole fittanyl thing is a whole different thing.
But this guy right here, he's high. He's high. Probably
hey good, What is he saying right now? What did
he just say? Don't what?

Speaker 3 (24:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
I don't know the lyrics Jonas's fan, he's high, I
don't know.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
I did look up the meaning of the song or
what I did it for. He was not high or
meaning to wassinuate that he was high when recording it.
I was insinuating he was inspired by cold, rainy weather
in England and is a desire to wear stylish shades,
and he was using them to hide his emotions from
being cheated on.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Oh he's a doormat. I mean, man, that's he's high.
Jonas the emotional the emotional toll on his body. He
was high, and that's why I had his sunglasses on.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Yeah, you know, he's probably just taking.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Just sad. And by the way, speaking of getting it
done like the.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Caves did over the raptors, for the ones who are

In case you missed it coming up here in about
fifteen minutes from now.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
But right now it is time for the tire Raq
Play of the.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Day six to shoot.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
It settles for the three right side. It's on its way.
It's nothing, but next.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
Anthony Edwards is third three, He's up to thirteen points.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Timberwolves Radio Network on the call. That is your tire
Rack Play of the Day. For for forty years, ti
Rack's been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Shift Fast and freeback by
free Road has a protection with convenient installation options like
mobile tire installation, tire rack dot Com the way tire
buying should be. So we were talking about Anthony Edwards
coming back playing last night when I don't think anybody

(27:01):
thought it was gonna happen. Hyper Extension Bone bruis the
works and he shows up, he starts, he plays plays
pretty well. The Timberwolves full off the upset. I think
there were like a twelve and a half or thirteen
and a half point underdog something along those lines, but
Anthony Edwards spoke with the media following the game about
his mindset going into a situation like last night, you were.

Speaker 7 (27:22):
Pretty locked in after you made that first jump shot.
You were looking over at the Spurs bench. What is
it about these playoff environments on the road that kind of,
you know, sets you off and really motivate you.

Speaker 10 (27:35):
I mean everybody in the arena is against us. Yeah,
I think that's the best thing in the Like, that's
the best thing about it. You start on the road,
everybody got on pink blue and whatever the colored shirts.
Day is chanting Ghos, Spurs go and doing all that.
And you know, I'm with Minnesota, Like I got Minnesota
back at all times. So I'm out there with my

(27:55):
brothers and We're.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Going to war.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Great point by him whatever that color combination, that that
retro look they're going with, like awful but appropriate because
the met gallo was last night was some of the
weirdos walking weirdo stuff.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Just weirder and weirder about a year you guys and
your celebrity friends. Man, Can I give you guys an
observation from that game? Yeah, Victor Winbin Yama made history
again last night had triple double balled out twelve blocks. Yeah,
he balled out and making history, bawling out. Uh, Anthony

(28:41):
Edwards who's coming off of an injury, still on the
men's come off, coming off the bench. They still lost,
Like that's gotta be. And listen, they got the last shot,
could have tied it up, sent it overtime, could have
hit a three, won the game. I get all that,

(29:02):
but they lost the game. I think you gotta take
a good hard look at this series. And again I
said it yesterday, this was this is a bonus year.
This is a house money year for the Spurs because
I don't think that they were supposed to be this

(29:23):
far along in terms of where when Binyama is with
his dominance, and where this team is and their ability
to be able to go compete for for it all.
I think that this could be a earthing situation. I
just felt it going into the series. It's going to
be the experience of it with the Timberwolves. That could

(29:47):
be the undoing of the Spurs in this round, even
with the injuries that that the Wolves have and and listen,
having Anthony on the on the field, on on the court,
I think that is definitely the determining the determining factor,
even if he's coming off of the bench, that that
mentality is amazing.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Yeah, this could be his moment to kind of take over.
Is that that figure in the NBA? I mean, we
don't know how much longer Lebron's gonna play, and uh,
Steph's obviously doing his thing, but they're gonna be going
through a transition, you know, with their coach and what
that looks like.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
So I just kind of.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Say, like, this could be that that team that kind
of takes over, maybe you know, makes a run for
a while.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
I would say this though, I thought san Antonio shot.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
The three terrible, and that's really become, you know, that
the metric to kind of measure wins and losses nowadays.
And for when min Yama he didn't even make one.
I think he took like eight or nine. It just
it felt like, you know, that was an offshooting night
for san Antonio. And I know we're we're hyping up
the way Minnesota play and all that, but I think

(30:55):
they'll they'll play better in the ensuing games.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
I don't think they're gonna shoot that Polly from three.
The rest of the series.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
So I I still think San Antonio is a team
that will end up winning this series, but they're just
not gonna have another bad shooting night like last night.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
The NBA usually works in the in the sense that
young teams like this have to go through an early
exit or coming up short before they ultimately get to
where they want to go. It happened with Okac and
then they finally want a title. It happened with Boston.
It had like this is kind of what happens in

(31:29):
the NBA. So maybe this is a case where, yeah,
the future is really bright for san Antonio and they've
got all those pieces and all that talent, and but
they're just not quite ready at this moment, and maybe
Minnesota is gonna walk in and bully him around a
little bit. Minnesota's defense was great as well too, But yeah,
if san Antonio hits a couple more shots, or you know,

(31:52):
they turn and they hit that last that shot and
it was a great look, it's a different conversation, Yeah,
one hundred percent, but he gets to make miss. And
so whoever goes cold, especially in such a jump shooting league,
now that team, more often than not is gonna lose
and and Minnesota credit to them.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
They showed up. They won.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Personally, I'd like to see Minnesota move on in advance.
I'd like to see Anthony Edwards take that next step
because I think it's awesome for the league. I just
still go back to I don't see anybody getting past Okay, see,
I just that's a jumper.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
And so whoever comes out of this series is gonna
be up. They're going to be in a series, and
we'll we'll see that tonight. They're gonna they're going to
be in a series. I just I just think the.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Story are going to be in a series.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
I think that's the storyline of them, and this one
sets the stage. It just sets the stage for the
King to be the Kang with a not an.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I also shout out to Timothy shallow May who skipped
out on the you guys just met Gala to go
be a part of Nick Sixers in a wipeout at
Madison Square.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
They're the scariest team bro the Knicks. Yes, they're the
scariest team in the in the playoffs right now.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
I kept watching He's not human, man, like he's that
hybrid giraffe or something.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
That's just that late in the game where he just
went to he got there in two steps.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
It's like he's like.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
He who's the stretching gout in Fantastic four. That's what
he looks like. He he looks like one of the
Fantastic for the stretchy dudes.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
He's going to be stretching to his house, to the creed,
He's going to be stretching to his vacation. I'm just saying,
I don't think. I just don't. I don't think the
Minnesota Timberwolves. I don't think they're the team to do it.
And and you're probably right, it is going to probably
most likely be Okay, see that does it. But they're

(33:57):
going to have to deal with this series, and I
just I believe that it's going to be a tough
one for them. But if the Knicks keep I feel
like in the East, here here are the two teams
that are going to let you down, the Knicks and Calves.
They're gonna let you down way somehow they're going that's no,

(34:21):
it's not I'm they're gonna let you downs. Support them.
You know how many times, you know how many times
Donovan Mitchell has been successful against a winning team in
the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
How many times you know how many Anthony Edwards zero
or any of the other stars we're talking about. I
mean lebron'slyn when he's got like a legit history. Yeah, well,
I mean outside of s g A.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
All I'm saying is they have a chance to change
the narrative, but they haven't yet. And I don't have
any man, I have no I have no chance. I'm
not going to do it. I have no confidence in
the Cavaliers. I put my trust in the Cavaliers last
year and they boned me. I'm not going to do
it this year. Years ago you put it in the Browns.

(35:05):
But listen, years ago the Knicks they could be trying
to put if you want to put the bid a
narrative that that you've been haunted by just not being
able to get over the hump. They are winning, and
they are whipping ass. They they are winning in emphatic fashion.

(35:27):
It's not it's not like, oh look at him, like, no.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
God, it's gonna be great when they lose. Though, there's
nothing there's with a loss of Knicks fans. I don't know, man,
done nothing for decades.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Can I can I say this though, I hope they
keep rolling because look, man, Madison Square Garden is you know,
they were called kind of the mecca of basketball going
into it. You know, call it whatever you want. I
just know it's an incredible venue. When that place is
rocking like last night, there's nothing like it.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
There's nothing like that.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Lakers what like here?

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Lakers?

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Lakers when they're playing. Oh no, mais Square Guard Man
the mecca? I mean, and they get I mean, there's
the it's like stars studded out here. When when they
they oh.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I could give two Come on, dude, we're talking about
Madison Square Guard and the history there, everything else, everything
that's happened there. When that place is rolling like it
is the place to be, a place to be seen,
a place to see a game or boxing match whatever.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
I'm just saying, that place is the best. See. I'm
hoping they rolls.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
For that reason.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Hey, Larena, you're our relationship insider. Is Timothy Shallow still
with what's her name is?

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Kylie? They are still together, Kylie Jenner Good. They're part
of that man Eater crew. Humh she went a different route.
They're professional. The rest of her family so professional manage

Speaker 1 (38:12):
This is clearly not saying he's jacked. It's just pretty interesting.
That looked like Joe Paterno out there, so it's makes
any sense. Grudge match? Come on, man, rest easy, doc

Speaker 1 (39:51):
On a new deal.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Ferrari hired by the Eagles in twenty sixteen. He became
an assistant GM in twenty twenty two. Big Dom join
the Eagles in nineteen ninety nine. That was straight out
of Penn State, right, so straight out of Penn State.
Senior advisor of the General Manager, chief security officer, and
the director of game day coaching operations.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
That's a lot of responsibilities.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Yeah yeah, I love that for big Don.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
So he literally walked right out of Penn State, went
straight to the Eagles and he's been there ever since.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Oh yeah, big do for him. I love doing good man.
I saw him not too long ago. He was just

Speaker 10 (40:33):
On ha?

Speaker 1 (40:36):
How you been? How's everything? Now?

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Does he know that you mentioned the number of shirt
City wears? I mean I wasn't trying to like insult
him or anything. It was just just that's you know,
you have metal style though. Yeah, it was not that one.
The white No, not that many, not that many.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
The white under whoa, that was a thing. That was
his style.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Let us say, let us speak for our man, for
our people.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Oh god, the white undershirt was a thing.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
It was not only the white, but like multiple shirts
and also how.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Many multiple shirts Brady Quinn at least two? Okay, there
was a time.

Speaker 4 (41:13):
There was a time when people would stack polos underneath
polo I know.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
That, I remember that. Remember that.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yeah, not wearing multiple poles, I never. And then if
you really wanted to do sh up, you'd wear like
a shell necklace, like real tight shell necks shirt.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
I'm telling you, Larda felt the shirt.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
Danny. She can't even deny it.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
She was already super big.
