We'll talk about that because somebody's.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
A big fan of it, and are we already looking
ahead to a show trip for next year's All Star Game.

We will discuss.

Speaker 2 (00:30):

and what the options really look like following some comments
from a Laker legend, Baker Mayfield, how banged up was
he and how much will that impact his contract negotiation
with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Plus, we're going to call
our shot on the first semi final matchup of the

(00:51):
World Cup. But it's got nothing to do with soccer.
All of it is yours. Next here it's two pros
and a cup of Joe on a Tuesday, Fox Sports Radio,
and just like that, we are off running here it
is two pros and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 1 (01:02):

And a reminder trained to push past the pain.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Not athletes, just people trafficked every day right here in
the United States, sometimes by someone they trusted. During the
World Cup, help us break the silence. Visit blue campaign
dot gov slash World Cup to learn more. Paid for
by the Department of Homeland Security. Speaking of the World
Cup later on today, we have Killian Mbape and France
taking on Spain with the winner heading to the World Cup.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Final and there is very French name.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
There is discussions that we are going to have in
depth picks on that World Cup matchup coming up later.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
On Real Hardcore Breakdowns boys. I mean I pick skit.
You can't you got sticks pick damn.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Well, I think when we get to it, we've actually,
uh we've prepared for this this segment, not now, but
when we do it, uh in a manner that will
allow you to uh use your expertise, you know what.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
That's that's I appreciate y'all for doing that. Ye, thank you.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
It's uh it's very good. Actually, it's a very good
way of determining how we'll go about doing this.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Okay. Yeah, and I know you guys are jagga looms,
so uh, I expect it to be nothing, nothing less
than what what I'm anticipating. So good.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
There you go. See you're ready for it.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I'm pumped up. Yeah. And and to the people out
there that are listening right now that may happen to
have us tuned in and listening to us, uh, this
is not a bit. This is true. Like I don't
know what they're going to do, so it be the
first time that I hear it when they do it.
So there we go. Well listen. That makes it exciting though,

(03:05):
because otherwise, you know, I would tune out.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I mean, you know, get you get some people who
try and you know, make picks and use a bunch
of expert breakdowns and you know, things like that, and
then you get that it just gets to the point
where you go, look, we're all on the same page.
Nobody really knows as much as some of the soccer
experts that are out there. So you got to really

(03:29):
go to what you rely on and what you know best.
And it's picks surrounding the countries involved in the World
Cup semi finals, but maybe has nothing to do with
actually soccer to determine a winner in a pitch.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You know, it's crazy. I didn't even hear you they
When I heard you say World Cup, I start you
know what I started thinking about. I was like, dang man,
I used to be fast. That was what went through
my head. I dialed out and I was thinking to myself.
I was like, can you imagine being a an elite
fast athlete, like in a sport where you gotta be
fast like And that's where I went to from soccer,

(04:06):
because you got to be fast in soccer, right, And
it's like, you know, if you can run a kickoff
or punt back, or if you're a quarterback and you
can run a long touchdown or running back or receiver,
whatever it may be, or you can run them down
as a defender and you're fast in high school or
or little league. That's like people like lose their mind

(04:27):
over that.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Do you have to be fast or do you need
endurance in soccer? Because Holland, you gotta have endurance, it's all.
It looks like you have to have both. Yeah, you
gotta have, you gotta have, you gotta have it all.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
But but the thing I was just thinking about because
I was watching the punt returner from from Seattle. But
when you think about it, it's like, if you're fast
at the youth level, people lose their minds over you.
But there's no there's no there's no guarantee. I remember
I was coaching a kid. They were twins and and

(05:00):
one was crazy, a crazy athlete, and he was my
go to gal on my flag football team. And he
never grew, never grew. There was a kid that was
better than me at the youth level named Terence Parham.
They called him Tank and he basically scored every play
because he was so much faster than everybody else and

(05:21):
he was smooth too. Never grew ended up going to
Buck now, well, he never grew. If you can be
fast at the college level and do those things people
admire you, if you can do it at the pro level,
you're like not of this world. That's what I was
just thinking right now. That's all well, I mean, you

(05:42):
were six eight when you were I was six years old.
I was six three and sixth grade and never grew
another inch. I think it might have been because I
was lifting. I was lifting at stunned here grow I
think so really, I think so, man. I was a
heavy lifter. I lift a Hall four endoorance and strength
and power, and you know, I want it to be better.

(06:05):
I think I might have done it my growth I
think I closed my growth plates because of like squatting
and lunges and stuff like that. Now do now let
me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
How many tanks could you guys have hit last night
in Philadelphia during the home run derby? All Right, a
couple of premier athletes like you guys get a couple
of practice swings in Brady's a golfer, Levar's been You
know what, dude, I.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Have baseball bat forever. I think I told you last
time I went to a batting cage I I tried
to take my wife, who was not my wife. Then
I think where he's dating. And I kept trying to
get her to move closer to the plate because she
was steady so far away, And then she got so
close when she swung, I think the ball hit like

(06:50):
probably her thumb or something. I busted up and bleeding.
Oh no, So we went we went inside, got some
bags and stuff, wrapped it up, and we had the
cage for like a half an hour. We literally been
using it for about four minutes. So we you know,
kind of walked back outside and I kind of just go, hey,
we got like fifteen more minutes. I'm gonna go take

(07:11):
some cuts, some taste, some swings. So she just sat
there on the bench. I finished out the session. I
was like, hell, man, I'm gonna I'm gonna hit some
of these. We're gonna show off a little bit.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
But were you spanking? Where you spanking?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Oh yeah yeah, absolute yard not yard show, laser show,
not like last night. But I mean, I'll say that,
but I did feel bad. She's never wanted to ever
hit a baseball, softball anything like that ever.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Again, It's uh, that's pretty cool because that was the
only time I ever swung a beat was dates I remember?
Is that the move the cannalists or ingemar. It was
like in one of them rich people communities where they
had this cool little like golf range, like driving range
back in cage and that's that was the only time

(08:01):
that I've ever lived. I had no idea. I don't
know why about it. I don't know, like, hey, let's
go to a batting cage like that. I don't know why,
but that was the only time I ever went.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
To a bat cage like LaRita. Is that a Is
that a move? A guy takes you to the batting
cage to.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I've done a shooting range. I haven't done a batting cage. Okay,
I don't want to teach the person I'm going to
be with how to shoot me, all right, I'm not
going to take them.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
You gotta wear shirts that cover your you know, areas,
because the bullet shells go in, they're hot, and they
go down your shirt.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Really m hm, that cover your area. I would think
that what you should wear when you go to one
of them places is like full you know, date exposure,
you know what I mean, low cut top, tight pants,
you know the legging pants and nice nice pair of
like combat boots. But I'm just not taking you to

(09:00):
a shooting range. I'm not doing that. Whoever did that,
they're not. They're not bright. You're you're asking for your
demise to come.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Congratulations by the way to Jordan Walker Ghost Cardinals for.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Winning the home rune last night.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah, if he was a seven to one underdog but
not finish, it's great. And they changed the format. They
decided we're not going to use a clock. We're going
to give these guys a certain number of swings each
round and they're just going to try and hit tanks
as many as they.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Can and uhre relaxed. Yeah, they're not. You're not. You're
not gunning it to try and beat the clock.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Does he win it based on how he finished in
order to win? Does he win it without that change?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Probably not seemed like he.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
It seemed like he because the previous round he didn't
need to hit his many based on the matchup to advance,
So it seemed like he was a little bit more
fresh than Kyle Schwarber was. But you know, you know,
the fans in Philadelphia wanted to see one of their own.
They had two in it, him and Schwarburn Harper, and
unfortunately Jordan Walker goes in there and spoils the fun

(10:07):
and his parents were in attendance. Uh, you know, he's
just gobbling on what looked to be about three pounds
of of hubba bubb or whatever gum he's he's chewing
on while he's just taking rips, just rips. And by
the way, Bryce Harper said he would like them to
use metal bats. Would interesting, someone's gonna get killed?

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Who's gonna killing?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well, you're standing, beut, I mean you're standing some of
those Some of those are line drives. I'm almost positive
a fan got clipped on a line drive yesterday. So
you know, I just wonder, or was it ball baseball yesterday?

Speaker 4 (10:45):
What if they could decide when they want to use it,
so you'd be great? That would be.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Like Lorraine as there a hollow point, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
You've got to see some of these aluminum bats that
are on the market now. They are they're so illegal,
but for whatever reason, you know, they're made and people
use them from time to time and whether it's you know,
in competitions or you know, just have fun with But
there's this there's a back called a hype fire, which

(11:16):
is like four hundred dollars, which just hits moonshots. And
so if you put that, if you put that in
the hands of one of these guys who are hitting
five hundred with a wooden bat, if you put one,
I mean, there's no telling who's going to get damaged
out there trying to make a play. Now, I do
have an idea I wanted to throw at you guys.
Got next year, we should go the All Star Games

(11:38):
in Chicago, Grigley Field. There you go, Wrigley Field. I
don't want to go. Why not until you say Chicago?
And it's nothing against Chicago, it's just against you.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Okay, Well, on.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
A second, what I love Chicago, So I'm one hundred
percent down for this idea.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I love Chicago too. I just don't want to go
do the whole Chicago thing, would Jonas? Okay? But why not?
Here's an idea.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
What if we were to do and I don't know
what sort of connections we would need, but the weather's
nice right now it is.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
What about we do the show next year. I'll bring
I'll bring my.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Comrades, we'll hook it up and we'll do it from
the bleachers, all right, just sit out there and the bleachers.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
And I used to do that for the Nationals because
we were the official station for the national It could
be done. It's very fun. We weren't in the stands.
We had a little tent, but it was fun and
the food was great. All the vendors were like, oh,
you know, they see you. They're like, yo, the radio
show and they bring you food. It's good. I'm telling you,
got me a half.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
It is on Fox, so it makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yeah, let's come of go with y'all, But you're going
to leave me after the show is over. Que Q
would go. Q would take me around because I don't
know what to do. So otherwise I'll just go to
my room and be in my room until we we
leave out of town.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
You act like you've never been to a big city before.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
I'm old, man. I think y'all be forgetting that. I'm like,
I think I got old overnight. I'm telling you, I'm
not acting like I've not been to a big city.
I just don't how many times did y'all see me
out in Vegas? Think about it? I don't y'all don't
see me give it. I don't know that I go

(13:26):
to my room. Vegas was a weird one because I
don't think we ever really left.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I never left my property. Yeah, I don't think I
never left. Ye, I don't know how many times I
actually went outside.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I gambled with Lee. One time I went to the
sports book with the group Hey Lee, with the Lee's
what steakhoud? Oh? Yeah, I took Lee to the Golden Stare,
shouts out to my people at the Golden Stare, and
that was it. Yeah, I don't know how much anybody
really did. And that was before everything got going. Like

(14:00):
I left the property. We got back on to property.
That was before everybody came into town. New Orleans was more.
That was the best, just because it was in the building.
If we would have had to leave, who would have
to leave, it wouldn't have happened. And that's my my
my anxiety. I don't, I don't if I'm gonna go
to Chicago with y'all, y'all gonna have to stay with me, okay.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Like it's even the way that this is being described
for people that have not heard the story before is
that anxiety led to a very enclosed environment for LeVar,
no doubt what he what he's leaving out is the
Thursday before we left on Friday, after doing the Friday Show,

(14:43):
we had a company sales gathering meet and greet low
workers and all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
All Right, they gotta do it where we leave like
they did this passion. You can't do it where we're staying, LeVar.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
LeVar went down for the sales client meeting, drinking before
we got started at breakfast at about what like eight
thirty nine o'clock. The sales meeting was at what ten
or eleven something like that, and then just stayed for
the sales meeting and then just stayed in that same hotel.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Lobby forever the entire day.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
So literally put in fourteen hours, fourteen hours in the
hotel lobby and saw different people start their shifts at
the restaurant than in their shifts, a new one would
come in. So the whole anxiety thing, I think, real,
you spent fourteen hours in the same place. That's not anxiety,

(15:43):
that's just comfort.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
That's anxiety. I don't know the unknown. Where were you?
Q went golfing and got frat Where were you?

Speaker 4 (15:53):
That's That's why I did in Vegas too. That's in Chicago.
I can promise see that. It's just I sure I
just got invited to like a birthday party this time
next year.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Huh Is that right?

Speaker 4 (16:04):
It's a it's a big one for someone. But like
I was like, damn, you're out in advance. It's a
pretty big arts.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
That's Rob Parker. Move, Yeah, you're in advance, Yeah to
his birthday. Rob Parker is a big deal. Man. Them
old school writers that are in media that like they're
they're big deals. I used to wonder why so many
writers were the TV host or the personalities, and it's

(16:33):
because they can write real well. They give you the
they get the facts, they get the information, they read
it off to you as if they wrote it. I
just thought all you did was make you know T
shirts and no, no, Rob, Rob is a fire fire.
You know columnists we him.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
I mean I would disagree, but you know, teacher, he's
a shouts out to my man, Rob Parker.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Underwhelming stuff. I would say, that's why you did the
show with him for so long. Yeah, I'll still do
that show together, don't y'all. He didn't do it this
past year and now, but he's doing a break.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, he does the Sunday night post MLB show on
CANBC with the great Olivia Garvey.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, so he's good.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
But but yeah, I'm telling you next year, Chicago, let's
make it happen, all Star stay with me, run Derby,
we could be there. And and by the way, if
you're looking for a place to get a beer, Wrigleyville
is the place.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Close your eyes, spin around.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
In any direction and you'll see three or four bars
you could walk into at any point during the day
and just get housed. So great food, great food town.
Telling you, man, anxiety, my ass, it's gonna be a
good time bar.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
I'm just telling you, man, because because you guys definitely
was shaking me in in Arizona. I never saw you
on there.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
I mean, I'm telling you beforehand, I'm for sure going
golfing this golf course Ficago. I'll go.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
You invite me, I'll go. Hey, there's the techno dancer, Yeah,
techno Viking. Holland mister, so uh, at least you got something.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
To look forward to.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, he did it really well too, Hallo, he did
it really well. He looked a lot like the dude,
the techno techno Viking when he was doing.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
It is uh was that a real video? They did
a split screen of him. I don't know. If that
was a Holland hype video, I would be hype as
I might go out and if you don't play for
Holland or from Holland, might punch you in the face.
Like that's how hype that video was, like I'm walking

(18:50):
around you from Holland. No pole right in the face.
Well he's from Norway. Well oh well just his last name,
Uh from Norway. Well there you go. You know, I
would be embarrassed if that was something else. But because
it's the world come doesn't bother me. But did you
see what he brought back with him?

Speaker 2 (19:10):
So he lands back in Norway yesterday, he took with it.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, they got eliminated.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
It's unfortunate, but he took with him. I guess it's
like a stuffed raccoon with a with a with a
whiskey bottle.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
It's like, so he got it in of all the things,
of all the things to carry with you off the floor.
There's a story connected to that. I let me tell you.
I'm telling you he became like how you just told
that story of the Super Bowl there's a story connected
to that raccoon with the whiskey body.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
I think he loved it so much. There's a lot
of speculation now that at the end of his career
will come play at the MLS. Yes, yeah, that's pretty dope.
That's literally how much he loved being in the States. Reportedly, Hey,
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
When cowboy hat shopping mm hmm did in Dallas? Oh yeah,
he took it all in man, did he had a blast?
That's pretty cool. I think there was a video of
him like he got he got pretty toasty.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
That should be our show. Like, let's do stuff like
that and let's air the show from where, Like let's
go to Stone Stone hinge? Is that in America? Let's
go to No, No, it's not the Grand Canyon. That's
that's in America. Yet go to you know, there you go,

(20:32):
even though they.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Say in America, it's it's that's.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Horribly under you know, where's the big ones underwhelming Niagara
Falls that's in Canada, though there is.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
There's a side that's in the United States, but there's
a side that's also in Canada. Yeah, and frankly, the
Canadian side is actually pretty Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I've been to Niagara Falls. I think we should do
shows from play. Why did I say Stone It's the
place where the rocks are? Yeah, sure is because I've
always wanted to see the rocks. But there's places there
I don't know, I no, no, just did anyway, I
guess that would be why they got if you want

(21:16):
to go to Stone Hedge, that's in England? Who is
still in the World Cup?

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Just to be sure there you go?

Speaker 1 (21:22):
They sure are? Which one? Y'all have England?

Speaker 4 (21:27):
I think I have England and Argentina. It guarantees you
that it's probably gonna be Spain versus uh who else?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Is it? It?

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Spain and France versus England Argentina? So one of Brady's
teams are gonna.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Be one of us. So I guess I'll have one end,
but probably means Spain or France is gonna win.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Okay, Yeah, Argentina is the long shot last year? Are
they long shot last or the the longest dods? I'll
start watching now I watch these, I mean, so you
know we weeded out all of the pretenders.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
I'll watch now.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
I'm in All that is the game tonight, all that talk,
yeah later today, all that.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Talk three pm your time, Yeah soon Pacific.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
All right, So yeah, I'm a watch all that, all
that talk.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
About Cape Verde and their h their fans. You were
the guy. I'm not watching the game to see the fans.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
I'm not. I'm all watched the match to see the match.
That's what I'm gonna watch it for. I'm gonna watch today.
There's a lot to look at. Man, look at that
right there, like, what are you seeing? I don't see anybody.
Well you got a zoom in on a shot? Yeah,
a replay to be sitting there waiting for them to
zoom in like, oh, there it is cap Verde and
there we go.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
And and also in fans, the Norway England game was
played at hard Rock and we mentioned it yesterday. It
was I'm overly I'm over the rowing like it was cool,
it was cute at first.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Now it's just you know, all right. I wonder if
the Vikings fans will do it this year totally hoisted.
If I was a Vikings fan, totally wow, Oh I
start playing that, I'll start rowing like a motherlover.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
I've got a feeling. I gotta feeling that they're not
able to get it. Done. But for the ones who
get it done. Grange Roppers access to over a million
products in the Scared deliver when are where you need them,
the right tools and supplies. They're never far away. Call
clipgrender dot com or just stop by.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio, so we are gonna have the
usuals coming up.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Later on.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
We do have another edition of in case you missed it,
We're gonna find out what the hell we're watching coming
up an hour two of the program. Pete Prisco is

you here coming up in we'll call it. About fifteen
minutes from now, we are going to have another edition
of In case you missed it, that will be yours
right here on FSR. But right now, it is time
for the tire Play of the Day.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Home Run Derby on Netflix on the call. That is
your tire Rack Play of the Day.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
For over forty years, tire Rack's been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Shipped fast and free back by Free Road has a
protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tire
rack dot com, the way tire buying should be.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
All right, let's say this about that real quick though. Yeah, dude,
if Netflix is going to get into these live events,
they got to promote it more. I don't know that
that was promoted as much as they have for other stuff.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm on an island here. I
mean I tune in Netflix to watch like specific shows,
so it's hard because I don't see really much else

(25:56):
from Netflix promoting it. Maybe I'm pull you out of pocket.
On this one.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
You had to really look to see where it was at.
I think most people just assumed it was on ESPN
or on Fox and once they found it, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
The Derby Netflix, you know it was on Uh, it
was on the screen. So it was like on the
like on Roku TVs it was like right there if
you turn the TV.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
On, see we've got Roku and like we didn't. I
didn't see it on there. It was hard to find.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
When you turned it on where you don't want to
turn the TV on. Yeah, oh okay, on ours it
was on there and that was the only reason why
I did it. It was like right, you know that
little the little right display where it's big and it
shows like the show. Yeah, it was there for me.
That was the only reason why I watched actually because
it was easy just boom click. Otherwise I was going

(26:46):
Netflix or Prime to watch the TV.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
You could ask my wife, like we were looking around
for a bit. I was said, man, I can't figure
out what this is on, and she's like, we'll go
back to the home screen, and like it took us
a while to figure out where it was at. To me,
that's a problem anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Not to get off this, no, but I mean they
should have done a better job, you know, promoting it
on social media, promoting it. I don't know, just in general,
if people realized at all that it was on Netflix,
like I think that that was sort of they just assumed, oh,
you know, they're showing an old highlight of something. It'll
come on after this. Whatever was on ESPN, whatever was

(27:20):
on Fox, and it.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Was nowhere that time is coming, It's coming. This this
will be a part of our distant memories of talking
about you remember when we couldn't figure out what streaming
platform that that event was going to be on. The
time is coming I'll tell you that for sure.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
I mean, he has an article last week in the
Wall Street Journal about in Netflix, they're saying they don't
want to buy a traditional television network, which sounds like
something you say with the price is too expensive. But
they are looking at live TV bundles, which I'm like, okay,
how's it going to work? Then you want to pay
for the whole network, but you want some of the bundles,
all right, you got to pay all the car like

(27:58):
someone else.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
So anyway, it's so crazy crazy just where we're at
in terms of I was telling Tristy other day, I
was like, can you imagine? I asked, I asked Penn.
After talking to Church, I was like, Pen, do you
know what a DVD is? And she said what I said,
a DVD? She's like no, Dad. I was like, do

(28:22):
you know what a CD is? She says CD, She's
like no. I was like, okay, Like do you can
you imagine things that like built our childhoods? And I
can remember my dad playing vinyls downstairs. Never knew why
he was downstairs with his vinyls, But now that I'm older,

(28:44):
I do. I just you know, there's so many experiences
and it was just so stone age, like I've learned
more about how to be efficient and effective in my
daily actions. Listen into my twenty six year old son
breaks stuff down to me. Then I probably had my

(29:07):
entire first eighteen years of life. And it's kind of
sad because it's scary. Technology is so where we live
in an information boom. Like there was the tech boom
for like you know, Internet and stuff. We now live
in the information boom, and these kids have so much

(29:28):
access to information. It's it's it's ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
Man.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You try talking to your five year old son about
why you can't just play whatever music you want in
your car? Hey, why can't you play this? That's mom's car, buddy.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
I got a CD player and we got the rate.
Can you imagine that you're whatever you want to listen
to is the sound of your voice? Let alone use
your hand. Your hand's free, like, hey, Siri, like turn
on this right in our cars? Like oh yeah, I
gotta wait till I get it to a stop. Life,
you gotta put it on and put this CDs on
your your lap and try to go through like you

(30:03):
might have really wanted to listen to us. I couldn't
find a CD, had to settle in on this one,
or oh that's a good CD. Like you were measured
and weighed and judged clout factor wise by how dope
your CD holder was, Like what CDs are in?

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Like do you got three or four CDs? I still
got a case binder of my truck. I still got
a case bro.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Some people used to organize them like, ah, this is
my wrap section, this is my country section, this is
my jazz section. Like cass Will had them joints day.
You remember the dudes that was so anal about what
they do they put like the CD. They take the
CD cover out of the CD, put it into the
carrying case so and put the CD behind it. That's

(30:44):
a bit much. It's a bit much, but you see it,
you'd be like, man, that's so smart. It's like it's
very simple. And now it's that's Netflix, Like the cover
is on Netflix. I had kaleide Escape. Did you ever
have a Klida colid escape kaleidiscope Q you know back
in the day, right the joint where you put you

(31:07):
burn the CD onto it and it's the software that
now you can go on there. It was like Netflix
before Netflix. It's like you can have that. I thought
you were talking about literally like a joint. You look through.
This was technology. This was a joint. It's like in
my house I had. We were from a very blue
collar family. You know me too. I didn't grow up

(31:28):
with it. I have money when I did this. Oh yeah,
and so you have like on demand in your house,
on your your TVs anywhere in the house because of
this technology that like you go go to the kaleidescate
legal Well they weren't, Now I was. I got a
lot truth.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
You were pirting it. I see what you were doing.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
I wasn't. I didn't pirate it.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Well, you buy a seat that your limitations is over
anyway you.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Buy the CD.

Speaker 7 (32:01):
I don't think you can legally burn it though you
you uploaded and before this is well burning is different,
Like that's like bootleg and all that.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
I bought it.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
What do you just saying the different word for uploading?

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Well, I mean it is a different word. Pirraating is
is like when you burn. I guess you're right. You
could burn your your playlist and put it like I
used to have to.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
People used to do it, used to burn CDs. That's
what it's called.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
When Apple Music came out, you used to have to
burn a CD on your CD on your your CD
ROM to be able to listen to it in your cars.
You're like napstright, you know what I mean? Like, I mean,
it was legal. It was legal, But most of the
stuff that I used to get with.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Bro, I never knew you were in that sort of
game like that.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
It was from like it was from overseas, like you could.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
That's how you know it was illegal.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
You could see it like some of the keyboards on
some of the computers. That's the guy why is the
guide in Japanese? Hey, Bro, I had Max. I had
Max before they came to America. I used to get
all my stuff from overseason, the G Wagon stuff. I mean,
I could honestly say, I could honestly say that Americans

(33:15):
were bootlegging, like I was just a head.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
Yeah you're an American, you were a bootlegg.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
I was driving around in a G five hundred and
two thousand and one. When did they come to America?
They weren't there. They weren't there. They weren't hearing.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
Sometime after Eddie Murphy came Stupid, Stupid.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
I was living like the King of the Moon, I
tell you that. Yeah, Netflix, you know they're looking. I
saw they wanted.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
They were talking about potentially buying peacock or adding peacock,
and then.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
That's what's going to happen. They're going to eat each
other up. And that's why I said at that time
is going to come because they're gonna You're going to
know exactly where to go because they're not.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Competing and they're feeling left out. And the Wall Street
Journal was talking about this that they're feeling. And one
of the thoughts is they're seeing the popularity of the
World Cup. So they've already put in their interest in
the World Cup coming up. And I think like twenty
thirty two, twenty thirty six, whatever the years are, and
they're just they've realized, Man, we got to get some

(34:22):
live programming going because there's only so many murder documentaries
and hey found a body in the car?

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Did it? No, there's not.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
What's what's wild to me is they built their bottle
on exclusive content you can only find there, right Like,
they come up with their own shows that they can
only find there. And I think they've realized by now,
like that's not cheap either. It's not easy to pay
for the writers to come up with good content, the
actors to be a part of it, the directors, the producers,
everything that's involved. And is maybe they're just pushing to

(34:52):
a world where everything's ai and they don't have to
do as much. But that's not cheap either to produce it.
So there's this world where like they're like, no, no, no,
this is what we want to live in. They're like,
wait a second, if we just you know, put up
some cameras, have some live events, I mean it's expensive
to pay for, but then you know, it's not quite
as expensive to produce. Maybe that would make more sense
because that gets a lot of viewership too. It's like, yeah, dude,

(35:14):
this has all happened forever, like this whole you know,
cord cutting and TV to streaming. It's the same story
playing itself over again. It's it's like cable, Like if
anyone knew the origins of the cable business, it's exactly
how it's moving right now through into streaming. It's just
a different technology and how we're distributing the content. Like
that's all it is. But what's interesting about it is

(35:37):
I just don't think you can dip your toe in,
and that's what Netflix is doing, that's what they're attempting
to do. So to Lvar's point, like when they buy Peacocke,
yeah maybe, I mean, and maybe they'll be done at that,
but there will be consolidation in the market, like there's
usually only a big three, right that end up ultimately surviving,
like you have some other small pop ups, but they

(35:59):
get absorbed, bought, et cetera. So I'm just I'm curious
to see at what point do they say, oh, we
can't really just dip our toe in like we have been.
We have to jump all in. And then they become
a major player. And at that point you might say,
you don't want to buy a television network, but you're
gonna have to because one of your competitors is going
to see this before you do, if you're Netflix, and

(36:19):
they're gonna do it so and I don't know who
that is. I don't know if it's Amazon Prime, I
don't know if it's you know, Google or who you know,
you know, could be Apple TV, but one of them
is going to actually buy a network and then it
from it goes from there and then everyone's like, oh crap,
maybe we have to do that too. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I wonder what the big three would be Netflix, Amazon Prime,
YouTube TV, which is a Google old Apple TV. Yeah,
it's like, and we were talking last week, and I
know we got to get the break. We were talking
last week. Netflix used to be the only show in town.
For lack of a better term, it seemed like and now, man,

(36:58):
Amazon Prime's got great.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Time as all Prime b I think they'd et pass them.
Disney Plus ain't a game either.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
Man.

Speaker 2 (37:08):

know this. There's only one home Depot because you can

next hour a little over ten minutes from now. Somebody's
got some thoughts on a big time decision coming up
in the world of sports. That'll be yours here on

Speaker 5 (38:18):
Sometimes you can't get to everything in the world of
sports or entertainment. Good thing the guys are here to
bring you in case you missed it.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
So Connor McGregor wrote on social media yesterday, surgery prehab,
return to martial arts practice, go again, final fight of
the contract.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Praise God.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
So he's trying to make a comeback, but unfortunately there
are those out there that are taking shots to Connor McGregor,
one of which would be machine Gun Kelly, who had
an altercation with McGregor a few years ago on a
red carpet event and took the social media to say this.

Speaker 8 (38:54):
I started to post yesterday and I said, probably apologize
for absolutely nothing, homie.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
This dude, that's how beef works.

Speaker 8 (39:02):
We don't like each other. Everyone's saying, oh, you commented
on his age, he's only one year older than you.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
About his knees. Hey, guess what, he don't age the same.

Speaker 8 (39:11):
My knees are awesome.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Oh you wouldn't say it to his face. I already did.

Speaker 8 (39:15):
That's why a picture exists of this little leprechaun punching
up and missing me and me not flinching. Where the
is the rest of the footage where we tossed this
little guy like a piece of dirty draws.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Across the red carpet. That's why all the footage starts
with him far away.

Speaker 8 (39:27):
Buddy, you look like a drunk, ugly extra in a
Sherlock Holmes movie. What in the nineteen thirty four am
I looking at?

Speaker 4 (39:33):
Fix your faith? What in the wladell happened.

Speaker 8 (39:36):
To the landing strip on your head. Worst ten seconds
I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Thank you for the walkout being longer than the fight, tang.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
Ether, what.

Speaker 4 (39:46):
Your name beef with Connor McGregor.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yeah, Connor tried to red card for this summer. Wow
he tried to. Yeah, he went and beat him up
with that knee. I ain't gonna lie to you, so
I mean machine gun. Kelly has his moment right now.
And what surgery is it? Why not say I'm getting
an ACL surgery or MCL.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
I'm guessing because he said prehab. That's one of the
only knee injuries you have where you actually have to
rehab before you get the surgery itself.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
So it's an ACL, yeah, which he has torn it before.
