Yeah, but the reality is your first offense was until
February twenty fourth.

The point is, I'm on track to hit close to
four hundred dollars in fines, which is outrageous considering what
the initial fine was supposed to be.

announcing that he had dementia and still obviously, you know,

along with it, and and very deserving Drew Brees, you know,

gave a really good speech as well too. I had
no I knew it, but then when I took a
step back, it occurred to me just how young Luke
Keighley was guy's thirty five yea by thirty five and
already in the Hall of Fame, and and just got
out because of the you know, concussions, and and just

felt like, you know, I can't I can't give what
I thought I could give. But thirty five years old,
played seven eight years and was out before he was thirty.
And now he was in Canton as a Hall of Famer.
Larry Fitzgeral was great. And then Adam Vinitari stuffed up,
and Adam Viniti pretty funny dude. He decided to turn
his Hall of Fame speech into a roast, and nobody

just poking fun at him every chance they get tired.

If he never took the North Carolina head coaching job,
how much Matzia would we have on him?

Like it would have never been this like open season
on Bill Belichick had he not taken the North Carolina job,
which is still for a guy who was I don't
know how he wins away from beating Don Shul's record
and has won that many super Bowls viewed as arguably
the greatest coach of all time, to go down and
take the North Carolina jobs, just it's it's bizarre.

Do you think he ever goes back and coaches in
the NFL. I think it's over. And I wouldn't never
have said that before the North caro like last year especially,
But the longer this has gone on, the more I'm like, man,
it's almost as if the league forgets you quick. And
I just I don't see. He didn't get the Falcons job.

Obviously we know what that turned into. But I just
I look at it now, and I got what I
thought was going to be a pit stop at North Carolina,
and then he goes back to the pros. I don't
think he's ever going to get an opportunity to break
that record.

He's seventy four, Like, no and no one's hiring a
seventy four. Well he'd be seventy five that the next season, Like,
no one's hiring that.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
So it's over. And it's just it's odd that it
ended this way.

It's odd that he didn't want to wait for potentially
another opportunity if it was going to be there.

And I think.

Because of how this is all gone, it took away
any chance of him getting another head coaching job. I mean,
it's crazy to say that or admit that, because he
again has won so many Super Bowls, But.

It's just it's been a disaster. There's no other way
describing it.

I think there will be opportunities for him at the
next level when this finishes up. He's got a wealth
of knowledge. I mean, he's he's him and and Saban
are the same, except one is a college one and
one is a pro one. But they're kind of the same,
Like their respect level is really high. And you know,

it's funny, we're listening to the speech, but he owes
a lot to that man for being able to deliver
that speech. So Bill Belichick is responsible for quite a
few guys that are we're able to stand up there
and give a speech. So, I mean, his resume is impeccable.
I do not think that this overshadows what he has

has accomplished. In fact, I think the reason why it
has become such a thing, in my estimation, is because
he's been viewed so impenetrable and not very vulnerable. This
is the most vulnerable we've ever seen Bill Belichick. And
I think some people lean into it, you know, and
some people feel like they could have a little bit

more fun with it, including him. So and there's always
this year. Keep that in mind. I mean, you look
at their schedule. It's not I don't think it's a
daunting task. You got Miami on your you know, on
your schedule. But other than that, I mean, I guess

some of the teams are going to you know, you
could say, are going to be okay and see State Virginia.
What are you going to see from Louisville? Syracuse could
be good. Duke is a pretty good team, you know
that Lvar they're over.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Under win totals, like four and a half wins this year.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
I don't know that they can't win year two for Belichick.
I know they lost Lombardi, but that isn't necessarily feel related, right,
I don't.

There's no reason why they can't have a good year
if he would have. Why you guys, have you watched it?

I actually thought he was really good. Like he I
think he was on inside the NFL. He did a
bunch of different you know, he did a podcast. I
would have I would have said at that time, all right,
I would buy into him doing media for a year,
two years, whatever it is, and then having an opportunity

to come back more then going to coach somewhere and
then trying to come back, which is a crazy thought,
but it just illustrates how bad it's gone.

discussed Lombardi getting, you know, being sent home for whatever's
going on on there.

Michael Jordan who's not leaving anywhere outside of a you know,
his house for anything other than NASCAR shows up. You
got everybody there getting ready, really really fired up about it,
and they were.

They were shots like they were at a big time
Bob in the event, and they got.

By the way that that game was versus TCU, who
will now face in Dublin to start off the season
week zero, probably a loss. Then they have to play
East Tennessee State University. That might be their only win
for weeks. They go to Clemson, they're hosting Notre Dame.
They get a buy before, but still like this isn't

This isn't the NFL. Like you have to understand, like
the talent gap is so wide now and it's be
because of nil and the transfer port. It's made even worse.
So if you're a team that's a have not there's
a significant gap. When you go see these teams these
games and it's like at Pitt at Duke, I don't

think they're winning either of those games.

They got to play.

I get the host Miami all right, Like Syracuse October twenty,
fourth winnable game at Yukon winnable game, but again on
the road, they're probably gonna lose the Louisville they host
them later in the season.

I mean, Uva is not an easy place for them
to play. And CJ.

Bailey's a stud at North Carolina State, so they're not
winning that one. Like this team, legitimately four and a
half is there overrun? Like that's about right. There's about
five games I think they could win on their schedule,
and two of which I kind of look at is
maybe a toss up.

And Bill Belichick, I just thought, I think the magic

It's been what eight years since he last won a
Super Bowl. I mean it felt like when he got
out of it, it was so crazy. And I remember
lamenting about this because I still don't understand it how
the Falcons got away with not hiring him. But now
you look at it and you kind of say to yourself, yeah,

maybe they didn't dodge a bullet if this was the
version you're going to get where, you know, he brings
Michael Lombardi, who everyone.

Seems to be taking shots at. I mean, it's crazy.

is nuts to think about how I mean, even vine
Terry like there's people everyone's taking shots at this guy,
and so you bring him in.

That's a disaster. He was in charge of their roster.

Their roster has been an absolute disaster, probably their biggest
gap as far as why they aren't winning. And then
you look at the off the field stuff and how
that's all gone with the girlfriend's situation. I just it's
wild to think. I mean, if you really go back,
you probably start really remembering sports. Maybe you're five, six,
seven years old. That's a big enough gap. But there's

a bunch of kids like junior high or like, yeah,
Bill Belichick stinks, and you're like, what.

Like he went pretty strong, called him the worst GM
in all of college sports.

one of those guys who rubs people the wrong way.
I've never had an issue with Michael Lombardi. That was
not my impression. But there are so many people dancing
and singing and celebrating whatever adversity or transgressions he's going

through right now, and it's wild. I mean again, I'm
trying to think of other people who well maybe in
the WNBA, maybe there's a few, and like Hams, the
Kaitlin Clark, there's a lot of people get excited about that.
But outside of that, which I still don't understand either,
but it's crazy.

them with the situation that they have unfolding. All right,

going on with the Mike Lombardi fiasco that went down,
you know, a couple of weeks ago, and what worth stand.

Like it would have never been this like open season
on Bill Belichick had he not taken the North Carolina job,
which is still for a guy who was I don't
know how he wins away from beating Don Shul's record
and has won that many super Bowls viewed as arguably
the greatest coach of all time, to go down and
take the North Carolina jobs, just it's it's bizarre.

Do you think he ever goes back and coaches in
the NFL. I think it's over. And I wouldn't never
have said that before the North caro like last year especially,
But the longer this has gone on, the more I'm like, man,
it's almost as if the league forgets you quick. And
I just I don't see. He didn't get the Falcons job.

Obviously we know what that turned into. But I just
I look at it now, and I got what I
thought was going to be a pit stop at North Carolina,
and then he goes back to the pros. I don't
think he's ever going to get an opportunity to break
that record.

He's seventy four, Like, no and no one's hiring a
seventy four. Well he'd be seventy five that the next season, Like,
no one's hiring that.

So it's over. And it's just it's odd that it
ended this way.

It's odd that he didn't want to wait for potentially
another opportunity if it was going to be there.

Because of how this is all gone, it took away
any chance of him getting another head coaching job. I mean,
it's crazy to say that or admit that, because he
again has won so many Super Bowls, But.

It's just it's been a disaster. There's no other way
describing it.

I think there will be opportunities for him at the
next level when this finishes up. He's got a wealth
of knowledge. I mean, he's he's him and and Saban
are the same, except one is a college one and
one is a pro one. But they're kind of the same,
Like their respect level is really high. And you know,

it's funny, we're listening to the speech, but he owes
a lot to that man for being able to deliver
that speech. So Bill Belichick is responsible for quite a
few guys that are we're able to stand up there
and give a speech. So, I mean, his resume is impeccable.
I do not think that this overshadows what he has

has accomplished. In fact, I think the reason why it
has become such a thing, in my estimation, is because
he's been viewed so impenetrable and not very vulnerable. This
is the most vulnerable we've ever seen Bill Belichick. And
I think some people lean into it, you know, and
some people feel like they could have a little bit

more fun with it, including him. So and there's always
this year. Keep that in mind. I mean, you look
at their schedule. It's not I don't think it's a
daunting task. You got Miami on your you know, on
your schedule. But other than that, I mean, I guess

some of the teams are going to you know, you
could say, are going to be okay and see State Virginia.
What are you going to see from Louisville? Syracuse could
be good. Duke is a pretty good team, you know
that Lvar they're over.

Under win totals, like four and a half wins this year.

I don't know that they can't win year two for Belichick.
I know they lost Lombardi, but that isn't necessarily feel related, right,
I don't.

There's no reason why they can't have a good year

two years, whatever it is, and then having an opportunity

then trying to come back, which is a crazy thought,
but it just illustrates how bad it's gone.

for weeks. They go to Clemson, they're hosting Notre Dame.
They get a buy before, but still like this isn't

This isn't the NFL. Like you have to understand, like
the talent gap is so wide now and it's be
because of nil and the transfer port. It's made even worse.
So if you're a team that's a have not there's
a significant gap. When you go see these teams these
games and it's like at Pitt at Duke, I don't

think they're winning either of those games.

I get the host Miami all right, Like Syracuse October twenty,
fourth winnable game at Yukon winnable game, but again on

Bailey's a stud at North Carolina State, so they're not
winning that one. Like this team, legitimately four and a

five games I think they could win on their schedule,

is nuts to think about how I mean, even vine
Terry like there's people everyone's taking shots at this guy,

Their roster has been an absolute disaster, probably their biggest
gap as far as why they aren't winning. And then
you look at the off the field stuff and how
that's all gone with the girlfriend's situation. I just it's
wild to think. I mean, if you really go back,
you probably start really remembering sports. Maybe you're five, six,
seven years old. That's a big enough gap. But there's

I've never had an issue with Michael Lombardi. That was
not my impression. But there are so many people dancing
and singing and celebrating whatever adversity or transgressions he's going

through right now, and it's wild. I mean again, I'm
trying to think of other people who well maybe in
the WNBA, maybe there's a few, and like Hams, the
Kaitlin Clark, there's a lot of people get excited about that.
But outside of that, which I still don't understand either,
but it's crazy.

if you look at the entirety of that division, but

coach maybe in the hot seat the most is Washington.
So if they don't get off to a good start,
they're the ones that are going to probably fall victim

case in New York. They just hire John Harbaugh. I
don't think that's the case in Dallas. It's not going
to be the case. I don't think that's the case
with Shoddy. You look at Nick Sirianna. I mean they

the hot seat and they're, you know, breaking a new
offensive coordinator.

as that being a question mark, there's no doubt Washington
is a team that's probably got the coaching staff under
the most pressure to.

about a thousand yard he broke a thousand yard yards

second or third receiver. It's I mean, Terry's scary, Terry's
the guy. And then it's all right Treylon Burks who's
trying to resurrect his career what they thought he'd be.
And then Diggs is obviously at the end of his career,

but still very capable to your point. So, I mean,
I actually look at it as a signing of beefing
up or bolstering their wide receiver roster, not like.

Who else is out there, let's kick the tires on

I think they're very capable if you compare their seasons
from a year ago, which I know that's what you're doing.

Jonas not so shady. I was just because today he's

Including Terry mcglory. If we're going back to stats. If
we're going back stats, that's all I'm gonna say. And
maybe it's kinds of injuries.

But yeah, Laura only played ten games last year. His
stat lines pretty low. That's pretty damning.

I was able to get ahold of some of Stefan
Diggs off season work. I sent it over to the
Gains just to see what stupid. I mean two years
ago McLaurin had a pretty good season over a thousand
yards thirteen touchdowns.

But that's I mean, that's the comparable two seasons ago.
Is the comparable to what stephand I'm pretty certain.

And I don't know who's running the show there or
who's really pulling the strings, but it just seems like
anything they to uch your try and promote or get
get out in front of just falls flat. And then
everybody's scrambling, including the players, trying to answer questions about this.

Tell me everybody and their mother wouldn't be watching if
these dudes got drafted though.

Oh, I mean, I'm fascined to see what that would
look like.

I'll just say this. It starts at the top. Kathy
Engelbert is an awful commissioner. She has not been able
to handle all of the media attention, of all of
the scrutiny, everything that's come along since she's taken over
in twenty nineteen. She's done an awful job. So it

starts with the commissioner and then it just goes down
to a ligue that couldn't embrace Kaitlyn Clark and instead
tries to shun.

Her or make her conform. And it's just it's asinine.
And so as crazy as it sounds for some like.

Inis Cant to sit there and say, like, I want
to play in THEWNBA, it's actually a good thing for
the league because it's going to force them to have
to create guidelines or at least some sort of specifics
around how they view that. And so even as crazy
as it sounds that, as fascinating as it would be,
there are some positives. I try to look up this optimistically,

saying they'll eventually be able to say, well, now we
know where the wine's drawn, because we don't know right now.
