Speaker 1 (01:30):
What's happening, Good morning sir? How you doing listen? Man?
That was a.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Really fun weekend of football and to see it get
bookended where you had overtime in the first game, which
we'll get into all sorts of controversy coming up later on,
and then to see what that was that scene last
night and what looked like miserable conditions in Chicago. Credit
to the Rams, man like they seem like they handled

(01:58):
the conditions just a little bit better.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Than the Bears and ultimately got it done in overtime.
Well they did.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
And and you know, credit to uh McVeigh and that staff.
Credit to the Rams defense that that played their their
tails off. I guess I can I say. I don't
want to say credit to Matthew Stafford. I don't I

(02:26):
think that that they they won in spite of Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I think that there was a balanced attack.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I mean, obviously his numbers weren't horrible, they just weren't
He wasn't great in the game, and they were able
to get a little bit of the run going. But
ultimately I said this, I think going into the game,
Jonas that this was a moment for for Caleb Williams

(02:58):
to actually play at a level that would now start
to thrust his name into being one of the most
elite players at the position. And I felt like it
was a missed opportunity for Caleb Williams in this moment,
especially because the game did come down to throws that that,

(03:21):
you know, obviously with the Chicago Bears having the ball.
So I thought it was a missed opportunity. But in
spite of I don't I don't think it was oh
he lost the duel to Matthew Stafford. In fact, I
felt like it was a little bit more damning that
he lost because it seemed as though LA's offense gave

(03:47):
Chicago Bears an opportunity to be in the pole position
if they were going to go grab this game, win
this game. I think he you know, I think Kayleb
Williams let one get away.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yes, And I would say also, there were so many opportunities,
especially in short yardage situations where I can't even think
how many times there was a third and one, a
fourth and one, and the Rams just made plays and
they just stepped up and look the Bears, you know,
starting left tackle was out, so Joe Toney had to
move over to left tackle from left guard. Like there
was moving parts there. But it just there was a

(04:24):
bunch of chances and a bunch of missed opportunities, and
then of course it comes down to it and he
makes that whatever the hell you call that play from.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I don't know what that there Sanders at the perfect time,
Like it's.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Just like they're really like there is a knack there,
there's something there to where he's got the ability to
like that. That was a sixty yard throw in those conditions.
It was sixty yard on his back foot on the run.
It just the whole the whole situation was wild. You mentioned,
you know, obviously the Rams and Matthew Stafford, who struggled

(04:59):
to really get a rhythm going, made just enough plays
to give the Rams to win. Sean McVay, the head coach,
of the Rams spoke afterwards about his team's performance in
the conditions.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
I'm really excited because I can dive into this and
I can be better for us, and we'll have to
be against the phenomenal defense next week. But guys just
kept battling. They kept believing, and that's what it's about.
You know, there's no style points. It's about being able
to survive in advance. And we were able to do
that in a tough, hostile environment and it was cold today.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Do you think, by the way, the old cayenne pepper
and the socks thing that they were talking about pregame,
where apparently the Rams had heard or somebody on their
staff had heard that one of the tricks in cold
weather is that you put cayenne pepper in your socks
and it heats up your feet. I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Well, that's all they put into those hand warmers.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
That's that's really it really a couple.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, there's I mean there's I think there's a couple
chemicals that they may mix in, but you believe it's
like it's Kanye and Pepper, like I believe.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Okay, So then so if you if you rub your
eyes that feels like a problem because I'll tell you
this right now, I was making chili at home time, but.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
You're not doing that.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Somebody else would probably do that for you.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
But go ahead. You're making jokes.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Well, like I was making chili at home one time,
and I thought I washed my hands good enough, mixing
kayenne pepper, and then I went to go use the
restroom and uh, I gotta got all heated up downstairs.
So that that just feels like a problem. Like but
you know, apparently it worked, and uh and the Rams
are are off and run, and it just I kept

(06:41):
thinking of myself and watching the game last night, and
right I kept thinking, you know, LeVar told me a
story playing at Soldier Field to where he went to
go use the showers afterwards and there was no hop Like,
I just wonder did the Rams get the same treatment
in those conditions or we have we come a long

(07:03):
way in that place and in add Soldier Field to
where that's not going to be a problem post scam
for those guys.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
It doesn't say cayenne pepper and these ingredients I'm looking at,
but one has salt.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
It's interesting a Soldier Field is.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Burn your balls off I'll tell you that from personal experience.
Literally burn your balls.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I used to put. I used to put vasoline on
my feet and then put plastic baggies on top, like
the baggies you used for ice, and then tape them
and then put my socks on top of them.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Wouldn't that be slippery?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
It's a it's a tad bit slick, but it's not
as slick as you would think because your foot is
stuffed inside of the shoe, so you don't have very
much give. Like you don't there's not very much room
for it to feel like you're.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
S And would you just have the softest feet after
to like.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
That much on your sol I never really thought to
check on them, but you know, I do have pretty
decent feet, so maybe maybe it did a good job
on them. I don't know, but I know it kept
your feet warm because it was more about you know,
the coldness like kind of creeps in and if it's wet,
usually it's it's.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Raining or it's snowing at that point in time of
the year.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
So if you can keep your feet dry, it's kind
of you know, they they worked for you. But that's
what I used to do, is it's probably kind of
weird that that I did it because I did know.
You know, obviously it makes your your foot slick. But
it worked, definitely worked, So I don't know. But again

(08:46):
I'll say this.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
In this game, you know, they the Rams defense dealt
with losing. I don't know what happened to to Byron Young,
which is to me, that's just a signific the Kent loss.
I don't know if people realized that he went out
of the game. I don't know if I heard it.
I had music planned, so I don't know if I
heard that they announced that he wasn't in the game

(09:10):
at any point or reported it. But I know he
recorded some stats but was not there, and I felt
as though that was that was a you know, you
missed that presence on the field, especially as it got
later into the game. And in fact, one of the
bigger plays that was made was it was number ten

(09:34):
I believe who was in the game. I'm not sure
what his name was or is, but number ten for
the Rams came off the edge and did the you know,
the most, you just can't do it, especially in a
situation as big as that. You can't lose contained and
he pushed up field and then he pushed inside and

(09:57):
Caleb Williams was able to break the contain. I think
it was Caleb Williams. It might have been a run play,
but I'm pretty certain it was it was maybe it
was maybe he did run, I don't know, but he
lost contain, and I just started thinking to myself. I
was like, man, I hadn't seen young in a while,
and you know, Verse was was doing what he could do,

(10:21):
and and I just I don't know, man, I felt
like the Rams defense overcame not not being at full strength.
They played well enough for this team to win. So
I thought it was a weekend of defenses. And I'm
happy to see that it's still about defense in terms

(10:43):
of getting close to winning and getting this close to
a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
It really is about your defenses.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
And also, if you could just go back to that
game last night to where one of the criticisms was,
and I think this was probably part of the reason
why the Bears kept trying to push the ball downfield.
The Rams secondary is the weakness on that defense. Like
they're the Rams defensive front is really good, their linebacking
corps is really good. The problem is they've invested so

(11:11):
much on the front seven that the back end they've struggled.
And I think Ben Johnson thought there was an opportunity
downfield to make plays. But in those conditions, man, the
balls going all over the place. Also on some on
those picks. Credit to those guys that it's not like
those are easy catches.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Wash.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Maybe the best, maybe the best catch of the game
was by a Rams defensive back in the catch and
so you like you saw the Bears struggling to hold
onto the football, to catch the football. There were catchable passes,
the one to Roma Dunda, which would have been a
touchdown in the first quarter when the Bears first got
the ball, Like there were opportunities there, but yeah, the

(11:57):
defense stepped up and Dennis Allen, the defensive coordinator for
the Bears, who realized after the first drive, I've got
to start doing things a little bit differently here because
the Rams went down and scored. And next thing, you know,
Jakwan Brisker, who was fantastic in that game, all best
best Bears defender on the field by far, and probably

(12:19):
the best game of his career, of his career at
this point with the Bears, and I do think that
the defensive side of the ball stepped up last night
in a way that I don't think a lot of
people thought, because the knock on the Rams was that
secondary you can throw on them, especially over the past
several weeks they've struggled, and the knock on the Bears was, yeah,

(12:40):
they can get turnovers, but if they can't get turnovers,
they're not going to be competitive. They got no turnovers
last night, and they were competitive and damn near almost
won the game.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
I mean, the Bears gave it away three times, three
times and one and the most critical point of the game,
at least protect the ball. Matthew Stafford did not play
well by standard, but he did not turn the ball over.
Took sacks but did not turn the ball over, didn't

(13:13):
get tds but didn't.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Turn the ball over.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
And and when they needed a big play, you know
Davante Adams. He didn't get targeted very much and didn't
have very many catches, but man had had a great
catch and one of the biggest moments of the game.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Poka Nakua. He showed up.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Didn't have that big of a game, but may made
plays for them when they needed it. There's a couple
of different guys you could throw in there, but they
weren't very productive in the passing game. And and listen,
they were pretty decent in the run game. I just

(13:54):
bro I think that this is going to be a
tough one for them moving forward. I mean, I mean,
you know, every every team took some some lumps coming
out and let this past game or even going into it.
But and I felt like with the depleted, you know,
depleted you know players on some of these AFC teams,

(14:15):
I thought it was like in the hands of the NFC,
whoever makes it out of NFC. With all the injuries
you're seeing taking place in the AFC, I'm like, yeah,
maybe it's an NFC year, you know, another year for
the NFC to get it, but I'm not sure. Everybody
seems to be pretty injured.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, it's And you just you mentioned the missed opportunities,
especially last night, if you look at it from the
Chicago standpoint, that there was a real chance for them
to be in an NFC title game against Seattle, which
would have been a tough ask, but the opportunities were
there last night. They turned the ball over three times.
If you just go look at the numbers, if you
go and look at the stats, almost equal down the

(14:53):
board between these two teams. The difference was those turnovers.
The Bears had three, the Rams had none. Benji and
their head coach spoke about the disappointment following the loss.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
You know, disappointing, disappointing result tonight.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Our guys fought the entire way, just just like they
have all season long. I thought, you know, this was
very much like our team has been. And you got
to give the Rams credit. You know, coach McVay does
a does a phenomenal job. Coach Sholey did a great
job with their defense this week. And you know, they
ended up making a couple more plays than we did

(15:29):
and that's why ended up going in overtime and they
ended up coming out on top. And so, you know,
like I said, disappointing result. Our guys are feeling it
right right now. They all believe, man, they all believe
all year long that we could find a way to
win each and every week. And so it's disappointing like that,
But I am proud of the group.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
So that was Ben johnson obviously successful year. Yeah, I
just you know, you start to look around and go
I don't know. Washington had a pretty good year last
year too, and we see what happens a year later.
Just some of those bounces that went your way this year,
you can't expect that's going to happen again. And they
won a lot of fluky games, and you know, most

(16:12):
notably the one against Green Bay the week before. I
just I think that that'll be a big question mark.
Is this is the way they won games sustainable? I
think that it is because they've got so much talent.
But you know, who knows. It's a it's a weird league.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Like I said, it was a missed opportunity for for
Caleb Williams because some of those games you can question,
but what you wouldn't be able to question is if
he was able to complete one of those passes after
getting getting the game too overtime, completing one of those
passes to.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Win the game. Yeah, you know, and and so to me.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Potentially win the game because what the Rams would have
got the ball back. But there was one time when
when was it that he would throw incompletes on like
in the rid zone, like he missed him in the
end zone.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Well, he did end up getting it at the end.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
I mean he did end up getting the hell Mary
at the or to throw up the toss up at
the end, but I mean he wasn't able to get
it done when when they got the ball in in overtime.
It's like kind of starting the starting to running run
together for me. But the point is is that there
were opportunities for Caleb Williams to take a massive step

(17:30):
forward because you didn't have Matthew Stafford playing the best
of best football games. Your defense was playing, playing a strong,
solid game. It was just set up for him to
show that the Bears are here. Caleb Williams is here, Like,
let's we're in the championship round. Let's get it, you
know what I mean. But it didn't happen that way.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
So well, I do know this dude Wipes is here
to help, all right. So if you're a Bears fan
and you're struggling with it, you got after it a
little bit yesterday. Like you know, it's some deep dish,
a couple of Chicago dogs, maybe an Italian beef. Next
thing you know, you're looking around, going, man, I don't
want this to be a rough morning, much like it was.

Speaker 1 (18:11):

Speaker 1 (22:32):
So we were doing the for people that don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Nationally, during the football season, I do a show on
local KNBC at City Walk, which is right outside Universal Studios,
but it's the post game for Sunday night football, and
so across the way was the NBC Sports grill and
it was filled with Rams fans, and when Caleb Williams

(22:56):
threw that ball to Cole Comet, there was like peer
shock in the place. People like people cursing, people screwed,
Like nobody could believe what happened. Nobody and you just
the look on Sean mcvay's face was like, oh my god.
And then they go into overtime and the Bears get

(23:16):
the ball back with an opportunity to win it, but
then they throw that pick. It's just yeah, that was
a it was a crazy conclusion to a crazy weekend
of football.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
And the Rams advanced. Man still tried to score too.
That is crazy. The man only needed three points.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
It's like play to get play to get in field
goal raised my man was going for the neck, Yeah
he was.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
He took two tries at it was it two Oh McVay.

Speaker 8 (23:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
They play calls where they wait for the end zone
at least once.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
I know it was one time.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
I think it might have been too that they was
like trying to push the ball to get into the
end zone on that final draft.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
I think they thought they could they could catch him
in that spot. And it's like, man, you get like
the bear secondary played. Both secondaries played really well.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Man, I thought that was risky business, but I mean,
it just shows you he has no conscious conscious conscious
And I'm so sleep.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
I had a rough day yesterday.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
By the way, Man, you know, I'm here and I didn't
know I was supposed to be here. So my brain
might be a little off because I'm not calibrated to
to actually be active activated right now. So if I
say something crazy or do something wrong, I'm sorry, sue me,
don't do me, don't suit me.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
A little, uh, you know, a little mix up. But
you know what, we're here, man, all.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Good, it's all good. But it's much like it's much
like that that situation there, you know, And don't don't
over extend yourself. Just just do your job and you
know what it will work out for you.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
By the way, how about all those people that thought, man,
after twenty years of abuse, we've finally ridded ourselves of
the New England Patriots and here they are back in
the AFC title game and a heavy favorite on the
road against the Denver Broncos. Is the Patriots get it

(25:19):
done in that game yesterday, and look at again, the
defensive showed up you made the point last segment where
there were opportunities for offenses here, but defensively team showed up.
It was good to see the defensive side of the
ball get some love. Credit to the Patriots. I come
away from that game and I don't know how you
feel about it. When do we start having a conversation.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
About bro Is Well, you had to start having it yesterday.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
I'll tell you that that was rough.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Talk about disappearing, not only disappearing as the player that
we thought you were going to be based off of
the rookie season that you had, but showing up as
the type of player that did you find yourself asking
the question of should they pull CJ.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Stroud in this game?

Speaker 2 (26:14):
I didn't because I didn't think it was it was
ever even a possibility. But afterwards, Demiko Ryans was asked
about it.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
CJ. Stroud was asked about it, like should you have
been benched? I mean, Bro, I mean it was he
played that bad. It was that bad.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
And he was also bad against Pittsburgh the week before
he was but not like this.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah, that was he.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Was bad against Pittsburgh. But and and listen that give
a ton of credit to New England's defense and to
rabes and and and their their staffs game plan against
against the Texans. I mean this offense wasn't too difficult

(26:58):
for them to deal with, but they did play their
asses off the new England defense did. They jumped out
there and did what they needed to do. BESIEJ. Stroud Man,
it was just moment after moment, like why are you
throwing that? You're just throwing the ball up, like you
feel pressure, like what are you doing? And you can't.

(27:21):
You can't have that much of a fail of a
game in that big of a game, on that big
of a stage. That's it's so damaging. And now he
has a very tough task and a very tall hill
to climb in terms of being viewed and looked at
as an elite QB from from here on out. Like

(27:44):
this is you haven't even approached the conversation of you.
You choked like to the level of maybe a you know,
Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, Like you're not even in
that conversation anymore.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
It's almost like he finds himself And if you would
have said this two years ago, people would have thought
you were crazy. He finds himself having the same questions
that people have about Bryce Young. And if you would
have said that two years ago, people would have.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Said, no, you're insane, You're insane.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Yeah, but I come away from this year going ben Look,
Bryce Young looked impressive at times, like Bryce Young, like
they they're like there were like he made plays, like
he got them to the postseason. Yeah, they weren't a
great team, but they were there and they nearly beat
the Rams, who could be going to a super Bowl.
And now we're looking at c J. Stroud and you've

(28:35):
got to have the same questions and have the same
conversations about him. And those are two guys that it
was thought of because they came out of the same draft.
Because Bryce Young went one and c J. Stroud went two.
There was a conversation of man to Carolina Butcher that
pick and here we are a couple of years later,
and what's weird about it is and I never I

(28:56):
didn't understand it at the time.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
So CJ.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Stroud has the rookie season he has, he was fantastic,
He's thought to be the next big thing.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Guy's great.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
He's so great that their offensive coordinator Bobby Slow gets
all these head coaching interviews, gets all this love like, hey,
that's a guy, look what he did with CJ.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Stroud.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
That's somebody who you look at as a potential candidate
to get one of these open jobs out there.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
The next year, CJ.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Stroud struggles and they fire him, and they make all
these moves, and.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
It's like, well, I mean, if CJ.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Stroud comes back down to earth a little bit and
teams start to figure him out, I get it, But
do we have to make a move, like can the
guy at least get a third year so we can see,
you know what? Like which is more of a realistic
representation of what CJ. Stroud is a quarterback. And it
was like Demiko Rans didn't want to wait around. They

(29:48):
made a move. They made a change. And I know
that Nico Collins was out yesterday, but like, man, that.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Is tight End when and it is tight End went
out like he didn't have all of his weapons. I mean,
I get that, I understand that, but again, there's no
there's no defending the throws that he made that were
getting picked off.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
There's no there's no defending that.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
And and I think some of the other throws that
he made that didn't get picked off. There's just no
defending the way he looked in the way he played.
That's the like you can't get out of the way
of that like. Could he have done himself more solid
by having those guys on the field, sure, no, no.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Doubt about it.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
He's probably a more effective player with with those two playmakers,
in particular his tight end and is his one receiver.
But but Jonas listen, they weren't able to get the
run going. It was clearly going to come down to
if he was able to make some plays in the
passing game and with that defense, again, I would have

(30:55):
been a game manager of mass proportion.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Do not throw the game away.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
One of those touchdowns is a defense that they took
the lead and went up off of a defensive a
defensive interception like it.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
It just was.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
He had the baddest look of all bad looks for
a quarterback in a playoff game like it was.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
It was a tough one seeing some of the things
Caleb did.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
But if we're looking at poor play, that that really
costed you. You know, Josh Allen had a poor game.
But man, I felt like CJ. Stroud took the MVP
of poor games a BYuT.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
QBS because I think the difference is with Caleb Williams.
You look at it and you go, yeah, but he
made big plays. Yeah, you know, a couple of those throws.
There was some miscommunication. He turned the ball over as
well too, but he made big play. You saw him
make special plays and big moments and he come away
from that and go all right, there's a lot to
like about this moving forward.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
And it's young. You know, he's young, he's going through growing.
It's like c J.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Stroud's been here three times, like he's been to this
round of the playoffs three times. This is the worst
that he's looked and that just feels like a bad
spot to be in if you're the Houston Texan.

Speaker 8 (32:14):
C J.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Stroud spoke afterwards about his struggles and took accountability for
his performance.

Speaker 9 (32:20):
Now I look back and I just I just feel
like I let people down and I'm you know, not
not happy with that. And you know it hurts, and
I'm not you know, naive to it. You know, I
didn't play my best this year. But I'm gonna, you
know respond, I'm gonna you know, keep my my chest up,
you know, my my my chin up high, and I'm
gonna just keep battling for it. You know something that

(32:40):
I know I can, so I'm gonna ge gonna get
that done.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yeah, it's gonna be a big off season, man, because.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Bro, uh, I don't know that I've ever sat and
watched the game and was like, man, you gotta pool him,
Like I'm not, I'm not on the like ledge on c. J. Stroud, Like, oh,
they got to go in a different direction. They might
need to take a good, long, hard look at if
they want to bring somebody in to compete for the job.

(33:08):
I mean, I just think you cannot waste this defense.
If you waste this defense, shame on you.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
They are so good man. Yeah, you can't waste them.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Them boys battled their asses off that entire game. If
not for that defense, that game would have been twenty
eight sixteen.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
That game would have been a blowout because them New
England boys, which the Texans obviously are still in the
headline of this game because of the poor player of
their quarterback. But that baby that's the quarterback for New England.
He can play some ball. Yeah, he can play some ball.

(33:51):
And his numbers wasn't Godye and he did turn the
ball over. The numbers were not gotty, but that man
managed the game.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
And that's how good the defenses.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
That guy's a potential MVP of the league, and the
Texans defense on the road kept that team in the
game until you just felt like and I think Troy
Aikman made the point where he's like, yeah, look, the
defense has put up a fight for so long. At
a certain point they just started wearing down because they
would get the ball back to the offense and it
would just be fumble pick like all sorts of things.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
And look to c J. Stroud's defense.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, Dalton Schultz went out with the injury, Nico Collins
was out.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
You know, Joe.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Mixon, who was a big addition last year, he missed
the season because of the injury, and so.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
The running game has a and that's a problem.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
But yeah, like it just felt like there were a
lot of opportunities there and so now the question marks
around c J. Stroud are going to be plentiful going
into this offseason. By the way, here's a game day tip.
Order pizza up before the QB shouts the first hut
and if you're hungry, the big New Yorkers got those
giant foldable slices and and right now it's just ten bucks,

(35:01):
the biggest pizza for the biggest games, only at Pizza Hut.
Up next here on two Pros and a couple of Joe.
It's another edition of In case you missed it, and
it's yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
All right, everybody, you know what it is, the big Game.
It's Big Game time, and it's almost there, and the
league's best players are well, they're going to line up
against one another. These players are made of grit, drive,
and a whole lot of heart. The original Louisiana Hot Sauce.
It's made of real good stuff too, only three simple

(35:30):
ingredients peppery pepper, vinegar, vinegar, and salty salt. They blend
together to make the type of sauce that changes games.
Use it to dress up your wings, your pizza, your gumbo,
whatever it is. Time seems to slow down when you
use that amazing taste of the Louisiana Hot Sauce. Impossible

(35:51):
plays just looks so easy, and there's just something to
it you just can't put your finger on. But well,
when it hits your tongue, you know you're chewing on
some them. Buy beautiful she catch that, well, catch some
original Louisiana Hot sauce. That's right, has that championship pedigree
for almost one hundred years, and it's got no signs
of slowing down. You ask yourself the question, will there

(36:14):
ever be at Louisiana legacy that's delicious?

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Again? I'd say I don't think so, but hey, some
may I don't.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
I think the original Louisiana Hot sauce is made of
that championship level stuff, the peppers, the vinegar and the salt,
and that's why it's Louisiana Hot.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Make sure you buy you so.

Speaker 10 (37:48):
It's the level.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
By the way, his last name is not Speaks, it's Sweeka,
but we just call him Patty Speaks because that's his
Twitter account.

Speaker 8 (37:55):
Is that that is correct? And then Brady throws in
the sweeks the sweets.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, where did Patty? I don't know he came up
with it. I like both of them.

Speaker 8 (38:05):
And then I got fined for for fence.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Riding by the way Patty Sweet sounds like Patty Sweet
sounds like a prison name.

Speaker 8 (38:15):
No, it does not, doesn't. Lord.

Speaker 10 (38:19):
Well, moving on soubreak in case you missed it, guys,
O Lord and with the first one here, So it's
almost super Bowl time, guys, and oh boy, we all
know that.

Speaker 8 (38:31):
Well, we know Bad Bunny is going to be at
the halftime show. However, we have an opening to the
super Bowl. That's right, Green Day. He's going to be
opening the super Bowl. They're going to be celebrating six
decades of the championship history, along with bringing in Super Pass,
Super Bowl MVPs, and attendance for Big Stravaganza.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
I thought it was gonna be kid Rock. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Well, I do like the approach of you know what,
our halftime performers so bad, how can we go worse?

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (39:03):
I have Green Day show up. That's awesome. Not a fan, Okay,
you know what it is about them? It took me
a while to figure it out. It's because my ears work.
I think that's the real issue.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Damn while to figure that out. I couldn't figure out
what it was. I don't know if it was, uh,
you know, just whatever reason.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
You're cold blooded peace bro cold blood. All right, all right, well.

Speaker 8 (39:37):
We're gonna move away from a team that won't be
going to the Super Bowl anytime soon. The Pittsburgh Steelers. Guys,
they are expected to speak with drum roll.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
But oh wait, wait wait I do have one two
seconds there? Wait? Oh yes, now, joh.

Speaker 11 (40:00):
Mike Jersey, all right, what about that bar purpa and.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
Yeahs those that's the one part. Yeah, that's all I got.
He's a wes p a or that's home hometown guy
goes home. What do you think?

Speaker 11 (40:20):
Come on, come on, old Mike McCarthy, his dad was
a cop in the area growing up, ran a bar steer.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
And let me tell you something. You can do a
lot worse than Mike McCarthy. He's won a lot of
games in his career, stealer, what do you And maybe
maybe this would entice Aaron Rodgers to want to come
back play for his old coach, and Mike McCarthy run
this thing back and see if.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Still I don't know about that. What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (40:57):
I don't know if that. Let's not get carried away.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
I think that Mike McCarthy would be a fine hire.
I just I feel like there's always going to be
a lot of pressure all higher in a Steeler coach
because they don't.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
You know, yeah, they don't have they not hire very many.
You know.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
I was thinking about that too yesterday and looking at
the story. Yeah, you don't want to be the first
Steelers coach to where they're like, yeah, they're working, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
They're working. That's a lot of pressure. Man.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
They've had three since the sixties. You don't want to
be the one that they oust in like two years
because because it's failed and it has been working.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
I just you know, this would I mean, I think.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
This would be the first offensive minded head coach that
they would go.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
If they were to go with Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
I think Brian Flores still is getting love there in Pittsburgh, but.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
That would be the first because Bill Cower was a
defensive guy.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Tomlin, but Tomlin was a receiver in college. Was yeah,
but I think he was on the defensive side of
the staff when he started coaching.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
Yeah yeah, yeah, right, but he did play played offense.
I mean, and then obviously Chuck Nole. I don't know
what Chuck Knowle's background is. Honestly, I wouldn't have known
if he was a defensive coach or an offensive coach
if you ask me so. But he built that team
through the defense, like he built the steel curtain first

(42:26):
and and then they you know, rest is history.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
How do you think that fan base would react to
a Mike McCarthy hiring.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
I feel like there'd be it's hard to say, man.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Like some pride maybe and like, you know what, he's
one of us, Like he's a guy all of a
sudden that the yinser accent would.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
Come out like it would, it would come out, and
it's hard. I think it's hard to say.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
I think people are welcoming a new a new coach,
but I think that it's going to be a process.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
It'll be a processes what I'll say.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
