else add to the lists? It was like a blank list,
fill in the blank. You can't even be wrong. It
didn't look good at all, That's what I'll say. I mean,
we could go into the details. I'm sure Q could
break down the details of what you saw, but well,

They're they're banged up at running back. We saw that
Devon a Shang has to kind of carry the load
for them, which is not the worst thing in the world.
Everyone deals with injuries, but it's not the best thing.
I would say. There was a play on the fourth
and two before the end of the first half.

Kind of epitomized what their season has become? Why do
they go for it? Yes, well, it's not even that's
not on the same page. And this is something where
I just kind of look at the decision by Tua
and I go, that's just not a matchup you're gonna work.
You've got Devon a Chain working against Kyle Hamilton and

a chan who you know is a running back. He
stands at five foot nine. Kyle Hamilton's like six foot four,
six foot five, and he's actually a really good coverage player,
like he is on Baltimore, and he's in that position
playing Manda man coverage with an all out blitz. So
it's going to force to it to throw the football

and Tua kind of lobs it to the end zone
and Devon ah Chanin just kind of doesn't really run
the route, but the ball should be one in there anyway,
Like this isn't like we're out in the open field
and you give him the chance to run for fifty
or sixty yards because of his speed and he outruns Hamilton.
You're you're too close, there's the back at the end
zone there like none of that plays to your advantage.

And you could see Mike McDaniel's reaction like, oh yeah,
like that's where you went with the ball.

So it is truly his facial expression after the play
because because he knew was like, of all the places
you're going with the football, avoid it, Like.

That's not that's not how the plays design. That's not
where we designed to throw the football in this situation.
And I just that's summarizes their season so far, Like
it's it's a combination of they get things going, they
get down there, they probably could have taken three points
that in the at the end wouldn't matter, not the
way Baltimore played in second half. But it's it's those

decisions combined with just the matchups kind of who's there.
It just none of it works out. And and to
is as culpable as anyone else, even though I do
think he's a good system fit for Mike McDaniel. I mean,
you watch the rhythm they get in at times, how
they move the ball, and you're like Man, this works.

It's just there's something missing, man, Because there's something missing
with all this.

Wilson was still with the Jets, and it took one
play and the crowd completely turned like, oh here we
go again. It was it could have been like the
smallest play and incomplete pass or whatever.

And I'm watching it.

I think it was against the Jaguars, and I'm watching
that going all this team's got no shot, not that
they had one coming into the game, but the vibe
of the crowd, the energy of the crowd, every mistake,
they're just like, oh my god, what else do we
need to say?

Yet worse than the second half, just like the start
cutting out aye holes and popcorn. It's like it was
just it was getting all out. The missfield goal.

You know, they're going forward on on fourth and one
and there's a procedure penalty and they come back and
and see and then Mike McDaniel is like, I don't
know that I've ever seen him that visibly upset. And
when you get a guy like that, who you know,
walks around dressed up as a pothead even when it's

See the emotions and just sort of the despair. It's like,
all right, he's feeling it too. He knows this thing's coming.

That that crowd in the second half when it was
just looking around going what is this? What are we
watching here?

But on the other side of it, you get Lamarg's
hacks in back. You see the difference in the team
when Lamar's acts in his back. This was a win
that they needed to get. They they now keep pace
and are in position to kind of make a move
on on that odds favorite to win the AFC North.
They're a different team, I mean, captain obvious, they're a

different team with Lamar Jackson on the field. Uh. And
I think it makes it better for them, But it
ultimately says to me, we still don't know. We don't
know if Lamar Jackson and this Baltimore Ravens team with
that defense, because they did that defense was not a

very different defense. I'll say this, I don't know if
it was more Miami that they couldn't finish off drives.
I mean, the the the turnover, But wasn't there a
turnover that wasn't a turnover? They missed a field goal
or wasn't a turnover?

If there's an NFL game, it happened for the Dolphins.

I mean, I just didn't I just couldn't understand how
they can move the ball down the field so easily,
and then just their drives continued to die at the
end and they kept putting it. They missed the field goal,
that was the first one the first quarter. Y, they
missed one the first drive. Felt like they turned it
over on the first drive. But I'm a little there's
the second one. It was the second one.

Yeah, I just it's like crapping your pants for the
two hundred time. At what point are you like you

I mean Mike McDaniel, he he kind of evolved. He
went from being like the kid in the principal's office
to like the kid that's driving down ocean and a

cool kid. I mean, everything worked out the way it
was supposed to for a time. Oh just doesn't sit
doesn't seem right anymore. I do this.

loans and all that stuff.

Yeah, I livebo. He was out during that time. Everybody

you'd see a young kid driving around this like ridiculously
flashy car and you're like, what the hell did he
get the money for that? And then you realize the
kid got arrested because he basically put in some sort
of fraudulent ppp uh. You know, paperwork to get alone
from the government, and it's kind of looks like that,

this yesterday. It's a really tough you know, schedule the
rest of the way or not should say the rest
of the way. But they're there, you know, next so
many games. It ain't gonna be easy. And and so
that's where I kind of just go if it continues
to look really poor offensively, Like that's the thing about
the you know, they play Atlanta, they have this offensive

explosure and going all right, Like at least that's still
there last night. I mean, the Ravens defense is struggled.
And then just between the fumbles, the turnover on downs,
just the miscommunication with stuff, the missfield goal, nothing could
go right. And I think if you start seeing the
offense even struggle to get some points, and that's Mike
McDaniel's calling card, then I think it maybe goes in

a different direction. And I would be shocked if it
wasn't after that game in Madrid, because there's I believe,
a bye afterwards, so you have additional time. You've got
the opportunity to prepare for a really poor Saints team
than a Jets team that's in the division that's bad.
It kind of just sets up for whoever's next to
give you a little bit of hope.

You made an interesting observation and it was Jonas Jonas
really interesting. You're interesting generally, not in a great way,

take place at Penn State, you know, maybe the worst
thing that he could have done is not have a

You want to know what the kiss of death is
is when the coach is visibly shook, when their shape

shaken up. It's it's you gotta believe that the decision
makers are looking at it. Like the leader of the
team is visibly on the sideline shook up. If he's
in I didn't see his postgame interview, but if he's
in his postgame interview and he just looks as though

he shook up, like bro I was with coach coach Franklin.
I interviewed him the week before the UCLA game, and
it was just I felt bad like he he just
looked like it was starting to take a toll on him,

like the pressure. And and sure enough that next game
against UCLA, the players look the same exact way. And
so when people sit there and they say, oh, well,
they shouldn't have did anything, or da da da like
what like, Bro, I was there, I was on that sideline.

And while I'll be the first one to always advocate
and speak highly of coach Franklin, it's more so to me,
if you're asking my estimation on it, it's more so
the fact that him, as the leader of that team,
was visibly shook up by what was taking place, and

the team followed suit right along with them. So you're
watching dudes walk off the field, Dudes got their hands
on their hips like perplexed looks. It was like you
felt like something really bad was going on. Like the
energy and the vibe was really really the morale was low.

And I feel like I saw that on the sideline
with Mike last night. That is the kiss of depth.
If you ask me, you want to know what puts
the target on you, the bullseye for management to take
action on removing you is when you look like you've
you're visibly almost defeated or defeated. I've never seen him

that upset. It looked bad, Bro, It looked bad, like
like Okay, it's a bad pass, you miss, you miss
field goals, you miss bad plays like or bad plays happen.
It's it's a part of the game. You you buck up,
you you regroup, and you get back at it. But
when you look like the way that he looked, Ultimately,

that energy is what's circulating through those players. It's circulating
through that locker room, through those meeting rooms, through the
other coaches, like it looked like looks of desperation, disappointment,
maybe maybe giving up. You know, I don't want to
say quitting, but man, like, hey, can it get any

worse than this? You know, like when you feel like
you've hit rock bottom? Can can it get any worse
than this? I don't know, Man, that that to me,
that could be the observation that really really is the
kiss of death for him and his coaching tenure at Miami. Yeah.

Pasadena are suing UCLA for an alleged plan to move
their home to Sofi Stadium. The two hundred page lawsuit
was filed in LA Superior Court on Wednesday. It accuses

UCLA of quote profoundly betraying trust by attempting to relocate
its home games from the Rose Bowl to Sofi Stadium.
UCLA's current least runs through twenty forty four, but Pasadena
is claiming that UCLA is making an attempt to jump
to Sofi Stadium sooner than that.

playing for a national title. Like they've had success there.

didn't look good at all, That's what I'll say. I mean,
we could go into the details. I'm sure Q could
break down the details of what you saw, but well,

They're they're banged up at running back. We saw that
Devon a Shang has to kind of carry the load
for them, which is not the worst thing in the world.
Everyone deals with injuries, but it's not the best thing.
I would say. There was a play on the fourth
and two before the end of the first half.

What was that play?

Kind of epitomized what their season has become? Why do
they go for it? Yes, well, it's not even that's
not on the same page. And this is something where
I just kind of look at the decision by Tua
and I go, that's just not a matchup you're gonna work.
You've got Devon a Chain working against Kyle Hamilton and

a chan who you know is a running back. He
stands at five foot nine. Kyle Hamilton's like six foot four,
six foot five, and he's actually a really good coverage player,
like he is on Baltimore, and he's in that position
playing Manda man coverage with an all out blitz. So
it's going to force to it to throw the football

and Tua kind of lobs it to the end zone
and Devon ah Chanin just kind of doesn't really run
the route, but the ball should be one in there anyway,
Like this isn't like we're out in the open field
and you give him the chance to run for fifty
or sixty yards because of his speed and he outruns Hamilton.
You're you're too close, there's the back at the end
zone there like none of that plays to your advantage.

And you could see Mike McDaniel's reaction like, oh yeah,
like that's where you went with the ball.

So it is truly his facial expression after the play
because because he knew was like, of all the places
you're going with the football, avoid it, Like.

That's not that's not how the plays design. That's not
where we designed to throw the football in this situation.
And I just that's summarizes their season so far, Like
it's it's a combination of they get things going, they
get down there, they probably could have taken three points
that in the at the end wouldn't matter, not the
way Baltimore played in second half. But it's it's those

decisions combined with just the matchups kind of who's there.
It just none of it works out. And and to
is as culpable as anyone else, even though I do
think he's a good system fit for Mike McDaniel. I mean,
you watch the rhythm they get in at times, how
they move the ball, and you're like Man, this works.

It's just there's something missing, man, Because there's something missing
with all this.

years ago. It was a Thursday night game when Zach
Wilson was still with the Jets, and it took one
play and the crowd completely turned like, oh here we
go again. It was it could have been like the
smallest play and incomplete pass or whatever.

And I'm watching it.

I think it was against the Jaguars, and I'm watching
that going all this team's got no shot, not that
they had one coming into the game, but the vibe
of the crowd, the energy of the crowd, every mistake,
they're just like, oh my god, what else do we
need to say?

Yet worse than the second half, just like the start
cutting out aye holes and popcorn. It's like it was
just it was getting all out. The missfield goal.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
You know, they're going forward on on fourth and one
and there's a procedure penalty and they come back and
and see and then Mike McDaniel is like, I don't
know that I've ever seen him that visibly upset. And
when you get a guy like that, who you know,
walks around dressed up as a pothead even when it's

See the emotions and just sort of the despair. It's like,
all right, he's feeling it too. He knows this thing's coming.

But on the other side of it, you get Lamarg's

when Lamar's acts in his back. This was a win
that they needed to get. They they now keep pace
and are in position to kind of make a move
on on that odds favorite to win the AFC North.
They're a different team, I mean, captain obvious, they're a

different team with Lamar Jackson on the field. Uh. And
I think it makes it better for them, But it
ultimately says to me, we still don't know. We don't
know if Lamar Jackson and this Baltimore Ravens team with
that defense, because they did that defense was not a

very different defense. I'll say this, I don't know if
it was more Miami that they couldn't finish off drives.
I mean, the the the turnover, But wasn't there a
turnover that wasn't a turnover? They missed a field goal
or wasn't a turnover?

If there's an NFL game, it happened for the Dolphins.

I mean, I just didn't I just couldn't understand how
they can move the ball down the field so easily,
and then just their drives continued to die at the
end and they kept putting it. They missed the field goal,
that was the first one the first quarter. Y, they
missed one the first drive. Felt like they turned it
over on the first drive. But I'm a little there's
the second one. It was the second one.

they shouldn't have did anything, or da da da like
what like, Bro, I was there, I was on that sideline.

And while I'll be the first one to always advocate
and speak highly of coach Franklin, it's more so to me,
if you're asking my estimation on it, it's more so
the fact that him, as the leader of that team,
was visibly shook up by what was taking place, and

the team followed suit right along with them. So you're
watching dudes walk off the field, Dudes got their hands
on their hips like perplexed looks. It was like you
felt like something really bad was going on. Like the
energy and the vibe was really really the morale was low.

And I feel like I saw that on the sideline
with Mike last night. That is the kiss of depth.
If you ask me, you want to know what puts
the target on you, the bullseye for management to take
action on removing you is when you look like you've
you're visibly almost defeated or defeated. I've never seen him

that upset. It looked bad, Bro, It looked bad, like
like Okay, it's a bad pass, you miss, you miss
field goals, you miss bad plays like or bad plays happen.

broke yesterday that the Rose Bowl and the city of
Pasadena are suing UCLA for an alleged plan to move
their home to Sofi Stadium. The two hundred page lawsuit
was filed in LA Superior Court on Wednesday. It accuses
(39:07):
UCLA of quote profoundly betraying trust by attempting to relocate
its home games from the Rose Bowl to Sofi Stadium.
UCLA's current least runs through twenty forty four, but Pasadena
is claiming that UCLA is making an attempt to jump
to Sofi Stadium sooner than that.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
That's interesting.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Quick question, will people go to so far?
Speaker 2 (39:34):
I was about to say, Q. Isn't SOULFI bigger than
the Rose Bowl? Yeah? Well it's probably bigger. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Is UCLA poor? I mean because I ask the questionally
because I go out there, see this beautiful campus, all
these people who look like they're rich in a very rich,
nice neighborhood. What a damn stadium. I don't care how
big it is, Like, what is with this?
Speaker 2 (40:01):
I don't mean.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
One of the reasons why that job's not even attractive
anymore is because we are they're not prioritize sports.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
They don't.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
They don't, okay, and we'll see what that does.

They make it a point, they make it a point
to say that we are an academic school. Like you look,
it's like the people that can't make it into UCLA
have to go to USC. That's like the running joke
out here from what I can go.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
But you look at the basketball team and Mick Cronin's
done a phenomenal job and they've done they've had success
there from a basketball standpoint, and they look at it
wasn't listen, It's not like UCLA's had bad teams. Like
everybody remembers, you know, the cade McNown years when they
went to Miami and if they don't lose that game
(40:44):
to the Hurricanes and basically a Hurricane, then maybe they're
playing for a national title. Like they've had success there.
There's just zero interest anymore, Like nobody cares and nobody.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
But you're talking about basketball we're talking about football. Yeah,
I mean it's like an apple's orange.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
It really is, because it's not very many and there's
not very much you have to do with basketball, Like
you get one good donor you're good to go with basketball.
So this is not very many. But the type of operation,
the type of commitment it has to take in order
for a football team to thrive is it's ridiculous. It
is ridiculous. And u c LA ain't with that. They

just they just say't it's okay. They just ain't with it.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
Bro, I don't know Mike Crona and basketballs to do it.
They're trying to get in new stadium, like they can't
build a stadium on campus.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Now the hell I think they're too landlocked to do
a stadium on campus.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
Why can't they con That's all that's always it's always
a lie, like convert one of your current facilities into
a stadium.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
You can do that. What would be big enough to
do that? Though?
Speaker 3 (41:41):
What's the little track? They've got a track, they've got
a space.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
They got a track, they have a track. But would
that be So you're saying it's okay to do a
high school type stadium.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
I'm not saying that, well, I mean high school text
at least like a legit Yeah, like you do it
twenty thousand, thirty thousand stadium.
