tire buying should be interesting night for the Philadelphia Eagles,

(01:52):
who are now the defending NFC champions. They've got their
quarterback set long term there in Jalen Hurts a've talked about,
and now the Philadelphia Eagles have a couple of Georgia
Bulldogs stars that are now a part of their team.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
They're no longer the Philly Eagles, right, yeah, the Philly Bulldog.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Yeah, this is Philly.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Do four Georgia Bulldogs they've taken on the past two years.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Uh, I mean the best Georgia Bulldogs, Yeah, the best
of their defense they've taken. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
But I mean it's it's interesting because I think this
was a major surprise to some people who felt like
the first selection for the Eagles yesterday at the NFL Draft.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
I mean, like.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Why they would take him that high was a little
bit surprising to me. But take it away. Here was
the commissioner yesterday with the Eagles first pick.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
With the ninth pick in the twenty twenty three NFL Draft,
the Philadelphia Eagles select Jillen Carter, defensive tackle Georgia.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I'm stunned too. I mean, I just was under the
impression that he was going to fall. I mean, like
the fact that he got drafted at all yesterday was
a stunner to me.

Speaker 8 (03:03):
I don't know, it's interesting that the Eagles want them
so bad they gave up.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I mean, it's not much.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
They give a little draft capital to move up one
spot to get them. You know, they identified them, I mean,
and Chicago didn't want them obviously because they didn't stand
the spot they moved back. Egos trade up, they take them,
you know. So it kind of kind of interesting that
the Egos even traded up a little bit just to
be able to take them. They feel like he's that talented,
which again, the film would tell you that he was
probably the one number one overall prospects and a lot

(03:31):
of people's minds, but maybe they had some concerns.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Well, definitely character flaw concerns or you know, his his
drive or his dedication to the game. You know there
anytime you show up to your pro day and your overweight,
you're barely finishing into not finishing at all what you

(03:56):
have to do during that work day, there's going to
be question marks that are associated with your name. I
just think that Philadelphia did something that only would be
unique to Philadelphia, which was they they got the number one.

(04:17):
They got the number one oh in some song like
you said, in some some rankings. They got the number
one prospect in the draft, and they're able to surround
him with ex teammates and current teammates and what better
what better way to hold a guy accountable and and

(04:42):
kind of just keep him in in a way. I mean,
I guess on a path where you're going to get
the player you saw at Georgia because the dudes that
were around him making sure and holding him accountable are
right there with them, like no other team had that
type of scenario to be able to say this can lessen,

(05:08):
this can lessen the trepidation, This can lessen the concern
that is there for Jalen Carter. You know, I mean
who and when you think about it, I mean, who
drives away from a car accident where you're one of
your teammates and one of the people that work with
you are in a bad way, right, you know what

(05:31):
I mean? So there are going to be answers that
are are needed as it applies to who he is
and are we going to invest in him at that
high of a pick. I think if you don't have
Dean or Davis or any of those guys that are

(05:53):
are already there and available for conversations with the scouting
department and with the decision makers, I don't think this happens.
And that's why I think it was unique to Philadelphia,
and Philadelphia obviously felt comfortable enough to make that investment
knowing what you know, information that they were able to

(06:15):
ascertain from from the guys who probably know him best.
So it could turn out to be the pick of
the draft, or it could turn out to be the
you know, one of the worst picks of the draft.
But I think they took an educated approach on why
they took him where they took him.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I mean, I just it felt like, if I recall,
like somebody on this show was adamant that Jalen Carter
was not only falling outside of the top ten, but
gotta plummet down the draft boards like it felt like somebody.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
All over runners. Who was that? That's it?

Speaker 4 (06:47):
It felt like it felt like it was LeVar Arrington
who said that following the Bears trade of the number
one pick, that if Jalen Carter didn't have the off
field issues, the Bears wouldn't have traded out of that spot.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
It felt like that, That's what it was.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
I thought it was possible that he would go to
to Houston at too.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
I thought he would go to Houston.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Man.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I thought there was the possibility, you know, I mean,
I think that's what I said, Like, I felt like
they were either going to take take a legitimate like
defensive front guy, or they would think about taking Well.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
And I took this from u Q. I mean there
was a possibility they may take a corner Well at two.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I don't know, I thought I thought corner. No, maybe
maybe I was wrong, anyway I did. I definitely thought
it was a defender, a you know, a premier defender
that they were thinking about taking with Houston. So to me,
I wasn't you know, or Arizona. I thought Arizona might
take Jalen Carter. You know, so I wasn't shocked. I

(07:57):
wasn't I wasn't blown away that he went, you know,
top ten.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah, well it felt like like I remember you saying
specifically you would have taken him off your draft board,
like outside of the top the first round.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
Maybe he'd be a Day two or Day three guests.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Especially what you're doing.

Speaker 9 (08:12):
I'll just admit this has been an absolute fail.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
LeVar.

Speaker 9 (08:17):
We thought we had I thought we had sound for this.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Apparently join us for some reason, still wanted to do
this even though that.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
Was not sound.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Well because the topic Philadelphia taken a couple of Georgia
Bulldogs like they did last year, and these two guys, uh,
Nolan Smith sitting there at at Nomber what was it
thirty thirty one, whatever it was, but Nolan Smith sitting there,
it felt like Philadelphia kind of landed on some good
pieces there coming off a Super Bowl appearance.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
So so there was that that was part of the Yes.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Glazier said that Philadelphia spoke so highly of Nolan that
they said they could have flip flopped the pick. Yeah,
they would have had no problem taken him as high
as and in the temp you know, in the top
ten picks.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
That's how highly they thought of them. They literally reloaded.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
I mean, if you think about what they did, they
just said, Okay, like we we lost our defensive coordinator.
We felt like the defense is what led us down
in the super Bowl. Well let's go keep loading up.
And now you've got Jordan Davis, who is a mountain
of a human being, next to Jalen Carter, who is
as talented as you're going to find.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
And those.

Speaker 8 (09:26):
I mean, you still have Fletcher Cox on this team,
but you know, you got Nikobe Dean, You've got Nolan
Smith now and as a Brandon Graham gets older and
and his you know, he's coming back for one more year.
You've got guys to come in and replace them, and
they could They might not be done. I mean you could.
You could look at Philly in this draft and think,
and I don't know, I mean it would It would

(09:47):
depend upon obviously, if if they could be around in
a spot where Philly could take a guy like Keeley.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Ringo or something like that.

Speaker 8 (09:55):
Right, But I mean I look at it and just go, man,
this is it's an interesting strategy, but it could pay off,
like it very well couldn't end up helping them win
a Super Bowl. They do have the sixty second pick.
I don't think a kiey ringo makes it to that.
But like they could just continue to keep adding on
Georgia Bulldogs that that would be the kind of the

(10:16):
funny thing.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Did they need to trade up a spot with the
Bears to get Jalen Carter because it felt like the
Bears weren't going to take him, they were going to
go offensive line and after.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
I'll say yes, And here's why, because don't Because so
where was Philadelphia sitting ten?

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Okay?

Speaker 8 (10:30):
Do you think maybe if someone called them about trading
to ten to take Jalen Carter.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Yes, And that's how they know.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
I got to there, you go, yeah see.

Speaker 8 (10:39):
Or they knew what was happening at eleven, or they
knew someone was calling around they wanted to make a
move after Philly, which in that case you're saying, what
doesn't matter because they're paying at ten. But I bet
you they heard someone calling around for Jalen Carter and
they said, Okay, we're gonna make sure we nip this
in the bud. Let's go ahead and trade up and
take him at nine.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
If you just look at there, and this is just
the depth Shart. But if you just look at it
for Philadelphia right now, So Fletcher Cox is starting, and
then Jalen Carter is his backup, and then Hassan Redick
is starting and Nolan Smith is his back fox. So
Philadelphia is loaded, absolutely loaded.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Yeah it's scary.

Speaker 8 (11:14):
Yeah, it's it's gonna be a rough life for NFC
East quarterbacks for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Not great, not great for Dak Prescott Philly.

Speaker 9 (11:22):
He kind of missed this group of Georgia defense in college.

Speaker 8 (11:25):
He's gonna get him now though, Hellas coming back.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Dallas didn't sit on their hands though they they they
got Massie, they didn't sit on their hands. They made
that defense more stout and they totally improved up front dramatically,
added Mazie.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
So you don't even get the Eagles to win that
division of plus money right now on draftings plus one fifteen,
do it, Jonas Dallas is plus one seven for once in.

Speaker 9 (11:52):
Your life, have a winning bet, all right, laid the money.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
What are you talking about. I've had a ton of
winning bets. I didn't I didn't miss one over under.
It's the entire dre, we have the proof. It's coming
up here. I'm telling you I didn't miss one single
over under.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Here that wud have been the most successful betting streak
you've ever had in your entire life.

Speaker 6 (12:09):
That's not true.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
I hit it out of the park in the UFC
recently did pretty good, and then I hit a little.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
Bit of a down, you know, a little bit of
a slide.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
But nonetheless a point being the Philadelphia Eagles or plus
one fifteen. So if you love what they did with
Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith and Jalen Hurts is coming
back and he's been paid, and the defending conference champions,
you can still get Philadelphia plus money. Dallas, by the way,
plus one seventy five. Uh, the Giants are plus five hundred,
and the Commandos, I mean they're plus nine hundred. Not

(12:39):
even a possibility that they would compete for that division.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
So there's that.

Speaker 4 (12:43):

All right, so coming up next year on the show,
we are going to look back. We made a lot
of predictions. We made a lot of picks when it

the results are yours next year on FSR.

Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up,
we'll call it a little over twenty minutes from now
here from the tire Rack dot Com studios. We are
going to talk about an interesting strategy by one team
in the NFL. They made a decision yesterday at one
position and it could mean a trade at that same

(13:52):
position coming up later on this weekend. So we'll get
into that for you here a little over twenty minutes
from now on Fox Sports Radio. But we did some
over unders throughout the course of the draft, throughout the
course of the week as we approached the first round
of the draft last night. So it's time to look
back and see how we did.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Time to put your money where your mouth is.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
I have been losing.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
Only a lion low life gambling the January.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
It's over under, alright, lead the lap.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
What's the damage guys.

Speaker 11 (14:24):
We'll kind of go one by one here. Br Vjeon
Robinson going fifteen and a half was the over under
Jonas and Brady, you guys took the under obviously. He
went number eight to Atlanta LeVar. I'm sorry you got
the over on that one.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
That's all right, good for hellsjan Robinson and Atlanta.

Speaker 8 (14:40):
I don't know if that was the surprise Jamira Gibbs
getting taken in the top half.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Of the draft.

Speaker 8 (14:45):
I think it was another surprise, which at some point
we should probably discuss.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
The Lions drafts three three quarterbacks to two running backs.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Who would have said would have been that close? Well?

Speaker 11 (14:55):
Yeah, anyway, guys, we had Quentin Johnson over under twenty
six and a half. Brady was the only and to
take the under. Of course, that going to the Chargers
at number twenty one.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
That you just got them all right, well here here's
my argument on this, because I feel like this is
insider trading on Brady Quinn. So I think he had
intel on what the chargers. Obviously Brady being from.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
L A blah blah blah blah being from l A.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
I think still talking, I think he's gonna call from
a walk at talking inside.

Speaker 9 (15:22):
Don't catch a niner in.

Speaker 12 (15:23):
There, insid slopper sloppers slopper, I mean stopper, sloppy, Jonus sloppy.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I this whole thing is being filed under protest.

Speaker 12 (15:39):
Stopper flopperop it shoulders.

Speaker 8 (15:46):
Who talking about the song just evault over that lam.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
What happened? I haven't got any right yet, no, I said.

Speaker 9 (16:01):
I love how the song evolved into that.

Speaker 8 (16:02):
It went from an Adam Standler bit and now it's
a slapper jonas slapper Jess.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
It's less some of you guys had a sloppy Joe.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
By the way, I don't know.

Speaker 8 (16:10):
But someone helped me understand is like Hamburger helpier helper
and sloppy Joe kind of the same thing.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
I think.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
So, although hamburg helper some people using their pasta with
like macaro.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
So someone told me because of that, and it's not
the same thing, Like sloppy Joe's is its own thing
owned sauce and then hamburger helper like, you can make
similar but it's not sloppy joey.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
You know what's interesting, I have that same conversation about
chili and sloppy jokes, Like, what separates sloppy joe from chili?

Speaker 5 (16:39):
What's the difference the liquid?

Speaker 9 (16:41):
Isn't it just like the running I mean, i'd ask Berto,
but last time I asked him about anything.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
You know, the chili chili has more spices, but you
could make the chill. I mean, they do chili dogs.
What couldn't you do a sloppy Joe dog. It's the
same thing are here. Maybe it's a consistency, but other
than that, it's like meat loaf and hamburger meat. It's
not that far off.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Loaf is beef unless you go turkey and all the ingredients.
Was using a sloppy Joe the sertain thing that you
using u uh in chili?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
I remember my mom used to make sloppy Joe. She
would toast the inside of the bun. So you get
that Christmas.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
When that's a good combination.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, That's exactly why she named me Jonas after sloppy
Joe's nothing to do with Jonas suck the guy who
cured polio. She's like, you know, what, what do we
have for dinner last night? Okay?

Speaker 1 (17:37):
She was having a sloppy Jonas when she had you.
Maybe that maybe it was just the coincidence that what
they served her when she was, you know, giving birth
to you.

Speaker 8 (17:50):
I don't think they give women sloppy Joss. I think
there's already enough.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
Having an ad bill, have a sloppy Joe.

Speaker 8 (17:59):
I think that's every clean up in room one oh two.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
A little sloppy jungles in her diaper.

Speaker 9 (18:09):
Jeez, let's slapping Joe in the catheterar.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
Once on the menu, check the bedpan.

Speaker 11 (18:23):
Alright, alright, guys, let's go by position here. We went
tight ends. Total over under for tight ends was two
and a half. Everyone was correct with the under. Only
Kincaid went to Buffalo Bills but picked number twenty five.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
I mean, Michael Mayer's got to go off the board
quick right today.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
Yeah, I think you will.

Speaker 8 (18:38):
It's just, you know, it's such an odd thing because
this is actually a really good tight end class, and
you look at the tight end position, and unless there's
like a guy who's more of a mismatched nightmare like
kind of a quasi wide receiver type guy, I just
don't know that they're valued quite the same.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Like, look at the.

Speaker 8 (18:55):
Wide receivers once Jackson Smith and Jigla who we thought
could go don't know ten maybe or whoever he was
kind of projected.

Speaker 9 (19:03):
He goes at twenty and there's a run the next
four Pixar.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Which that was a hell of a pick for seattleh Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's an investment in the geno. Man, Yeah, it is.

Speaker 11 (19:14):
Speaking of those wide receivers, we also did a number
of wide receivers drafted in the first round at three
and a half, and Brady, you were the only one
who picked the over of those four in a.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Row insider trading. Again, that's under protest, all right.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
I gotta slap a jonas us.

Speaker 11 (19:30):
Everyone took the over of quarterbacks drafted in the first
round at four and a half, So nobody got that one, right, Oh, man, races,
we'll move on to We'll move on to conferences.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
We think Will Levis you shun them a bit.

Speaker 11 (19:41):
Three and a half acc players drafted in the first round,
everyone took the under of three and a half, and
there were in fact four with Zay Flowers, Miles Murphy,
Brian Barresy excuse me, brecyc sorry, and Colliju Kate Cancy yeah, can't.

Speaker 8 (19:57):
See and Brazil, Like you weren't sure how they were
going to be view ude. I mean, Chancey's tape's amazing,
but he's undersized. And then Brazi had some injury issues,
but I mean coming out in the college, he was
one of the top defensive tackles in the country. And
you know, just you want to sure how teams are
gonna view the medical history, like that's the one thing
that's kind of unknown.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
About you know, all these players.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
But for z in particular, I love how the chance
he has the most unfair comp of anybody in the draft,
or say, yeah, well it's the same side. Look at
his specs. It's all the same as Aaron DoD Thompson.

Speaker 9 (20:28):
Look at them all right, not exactly.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
I mean the one difference in LeVar could speak this
better than we could.

Speaker 9 (20:36):
His arms were like his arms were like.

Speaker 8 (20:38):
Two inches, you know, less or not as long as
Aaron Donald does that bother you as like an interior
defensive place t rex.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Oh, it could play. It could play against them, or
it could in the league. It could definitely play against them.
The reach reach is very important, as you know, like
being able to reach out touch somebody with child and touch.

Speaker 8 (21:06):
Too long when you're an interior guy though, like everything's
confined spaces.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
You know you're putting.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, if you don't know how to use your length,
like you think of like a Calais Gampbell or you
know guys like that that are really long, it's actually
it actually should serve as leverage. You should be able
to be able to torque and leverage in a way
that's unique to being that long. Like the long arm

(21:32):
is is one of the most you know utilized, you
know approaches in interior and and outside you know rush angles.
So I would say there's very few guys that have
short arms that are really able to have a ton
of success at the at the pro level. I don't

(21:54):
know that for fact, but I think if we were
to take a poll on how long guys is reach
is and and trior lineman and what's connected to their
success rate, I would bet guys have a longer reach,
longer reach, Yeah, I would assume, yeah, just based off
of what it is that you're your point though.

Speaker 8 (22:14):
Like, yeah, really easy being compared to arguably maybe the
best defender ever. Come on, man, because you went to
the same school and you're both considered undersized.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
Come on, yeah, that's tough. Yeah? Is that?

Speaker 11 (22:29):
Wrapping up the conferences, everyone was incorrect with the under
of Big twelve players. It was that four and a
half everyone took the under four and a half five
players went for the Big twelve. For the SEC everybody
took the over of eleve on them.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
Are you are you counting like that with the added
teams too to the Big twelve?

Speaker 11 (22:47):
Now, uh well, let's see here we have Jon Robinson,
Tyree Wilson, Quentin Johnson, Will McDonald, n f Au.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Yeah fau, my guy fau. Last pick of the first round.
How about that? I told you about face.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
I choose not to time purpose.

Speaker 5 (23:05):
Felix and new dk Usama. It's not that hard, but
I wanted to see if you Nick could do it.
That's fine, Thanks you.

Speaker 11 (23:11):
Okay, everyone took over of eleven and a half SEC players,
which I believe hit the under so under on that one.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
But Brady, you were correct with the Big ten?

Speaker 5 (23:24):
Uh where is that?

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Okay, here we are.

Speaker 11 (23:31):
Where is that? Total Big ten players drafted in the
first round was eight and a half. Brady took the
over it did to hit nine, So good job there, Brady.
On the conferences didn't.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
Do well at all. Let's see.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
I mean I just find and Lee you came into
my ear before like we came out of a break
like you were so positive and you knew I didn't
hit any of these, so you were like kind of
like happy that I was about to get like like.

Speaker 9 (23:58):
Flash and sturn like I see, I see what this is?

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Will you?

Speaker 11 (24:05):
And Jaylaser did hit the over on perfect bat in
a thousand on predictions for the draft show lasts a
good job on that.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Yeah wait who told you your predictions though? Oh well
yeah it was.

Speaker 9 (24:20):
I assume Jay hit his over of helmet right.

Speaker 5 (24:23):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
So every time every time they come to me and
we were talking and we were heading into the pick,
I'd be I'd be saying yeah, and you know you
were thinking about like there being a cornerback being discussed
here JB. Like Jay say something like, uh, well they
were you know, there was something about a defensive Lineman.
I said, well, you know what, with the defensive front
for this team, Uh, it would it would make so

(24:44):
much sense for them to go down the lane of
getting a peel.

Speaker 8 (24:48):
Back to feel back the curtain on this. So this
is what the NFL has done because they've made the
NFL Draft such a big event, and obviously on the ESPN,
ABC and then NFL network because it's the league's network,
they're the ones airing him. So anyone else who's working
whether it's in radio or streaming, around the draft, they
send out a letter and they are strictly.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Prohibit you from tipping picks.

Speaker 8 (25:12):
In fact, they try to put in different ground rules
for how far after the pick's actually announced that you
can talk about the pick.

Speaker 9 (25:19):
At least they try to. It's very specific.

Speaker 8 (25:22):
And the reason why I know this is because I've
been working for a CBS streaming platform for a while
and when we initially started doing draft coverage, we would.

Speaker 9 (25:30):
Just tell it.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
We would just say exactly what the pick was before
it was actually announced.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
Well, then you got a call from the NFL.

Speaker 8 (25:36):
They get upset, and so since then we've had to
kind of orchestrate around it.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
But for all the people at home.

Speaker 8 (25:42):
Every single analyst you see these guys, know, especially the
first round. Like I'm listening to RG three and talking
about zave Flowers before the Baltimore pick. He didn't have
no clue. Someone told him, my head, it's gonna be
Zavey Flowers. Man, make sure you're talking about Zay Flowers
so you look good. It happens all the time.

Speaker 6 (25:56):
Well, first of all, he's in the middle of writing
a book. Why do you have to be so critical
for him?

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Well, I'm just saying it was one example that came
to mind. Okay, it was just.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
One exciting tashtag TM RG three.

Speaker 9 (26:05):
Hashtags still write my story, so you know.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
Hashtag the way.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
The fact that RG three didn't understand that dig You
took it him on Twitter and his response was.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
A story still being written. What a tool, dude.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Come on, man, you understand the reference that is being
made on social media before you attack My good friend
Braden Quinn.

Speaker 8 (26:31):
Well, the thing is he does his research, so I'm
sure he's researched and heard you say that on our.

Speaker 9 (26:35):
Show now three times.

Speaker 8 (26:37):
Yes, as you're trying to get a SoundBite that goes viral,
said this.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Listen, if I want viral soundbites. I'll just make him
happen tomorrow from two to four pm Eastern Time on
The Jonas Knock Show.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
Oh wow, that's a problem with that. Oh wow did
you just do that? What are you talking about? God? Lee?

Speaker 6 (26:56):
Eleven one?

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Geez? What time?

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Relacific eleven am to one pm Pacific timefin s good
for you, Joan, hundreds of affiliates.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
You'd be happy as hell doing the JKS show too, bro, Like,
who wouldn't be you?

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Come on this show? You're like?

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Like?

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Is that? Jonas? Hey, I got a who lot of things.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Learn to like what like I'm calling a horse race?

Speaker 5 (27:26):
Yeah, come in and then go on bang God Lee?

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Like Jonas has so much energy on a Saturday, always
got energy. So happy, mister energy, happy and gay, you know, wonderful.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Emphasize the last part.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
A couple of bud lights after the show?

Speaker 12 (27:51):
What out?

Speaker 6 (27:51):
What? What else?

Speaker 5 (27:52):
You got? Lee?

Speaker 11 (27:52):
All right, guys, to wrap it up here, a few
position position players. Uh, Jonas, you were correct that Joey
Porter Junior would go over nineteen and a half and.

Speaker 6 (28:00):
Didn't like his interviews.

Speaker 11 (28:01):
Yeah, and LeVar you were correct that Hendon Hooker would
go over thirty one and a half. There's a few
others out there, but they were all cumulative. Everybody either
picked the correct over or under together. So to wrap
it all up, Brady, you take the NFL Draft Over
Under Edition twenty twenty three. Good job, Brady, Jonas, you

(28:24):
came in second, LeVar in third.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
I clearly came in third or fourth or fifth. That's
all Goody'll.

Speaker 11 (28:31):
Help from Roberto. Roberto kind of brought you down. Yeah,
we'll get your trophy.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
Yeah, okay, can you guys give me that trophy and
then can I shove it up Jonas's ass?

Speaker 9 (28:44):
Ye first?

Speaker 13 (28:47):
Yeah, all righty.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
THEOS studio is impressive too, but always yeah, it's very impressive.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
I excited to get out there. It's nice, it's it's
it's updated. Now.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
I will say this that there was a few nervous
moments based off of the new technology, and sometimes lights
didn't light up or something to that effect, and just
that and the other so I didn't know if we
were hot or if we weren't, and you know, stuff
like that. But otherwise, I mean, it's pretty bad ass

(29:28):
and it's spacious.

Speaker 9 (29:29):
You always got to assume your MIC's hot.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
I mean, that's that's the one thing I've learned. And
that's what they say.

Speaker 9 (29:34):
I mean, they see the woman who just got popped.

Speaker 6 (29:37):
For what came out Marley Rivera.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
Yeah about another reporter.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
Girl.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Listen, nothing like getting caught in an argument in Spanish
and then you go to when you turn to English
is the C word on as it's always a good move.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
So yeah, that's that's.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
Unfortunate, don't you man?

Speaker 4 (30:07):
This show is so real. They ain't got us not artificial,
I'll tell you that much.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Oh you know what, I'm so glad you said that
because my guys over at at Pennington.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
You know, but people have Pennington.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yeah, you know, they wanted to make sure you knew
that artificial turf it causes thirty two percent more non
contact knee injuries. Let me serious my voice here, let
me study my voice, because that's serious, thirty two percent
more non contact knee injuries. American grass sea company Pennington
is on a mission to ban turf fields with their

(30:43):
hashtag flip the Turf movement. So go to Pennington dot
com slash flip the Turf now to learn more and
sign the petition for teams to hashtag flip the turf
to real grass.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio. So we do have over unders
for this week, and I know what you're thinking. We're
just gonna let Brady celebrate his big win on the
draft edition of over Unders.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
Not so fast. No, we've got some over unders we're
gonna get to this weekend.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
But for all the latest from around the world of sports,
let's turn it over to the man himself, Edmund Garcia.

Speaker 14 (31:20):
I gotta say I did not see Brady being the
first person to be dumped.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
In the new studio. I did not see that coming out.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Who did you have If we were to rank everybody
on the show in what order would you say?

Speaker 6 (31:30):
I would say I would be last.

Speaker 14 (31:33):
Oh, but Brady would have been second to last for me.

Speaker 6 (31:36):
And then who would have been first?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
You think probably Berdom.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
That's a good one. All right.

Speaker 14 (31:46):
Let's check in on the first round of the NFL Draft.
We had three quarterbacks selected in the first four picks,
and the only three quarterbacks selected in the entire first round.
I'm not a surprise. Carolina Panthers go with Pryce Young
out of Alabama with the number one overall pick. At
number two of the Houston Texans take Ohio State's c. J. Stroud,
and with the fourth pick, the Inannapolis Colts go with
Anthony Richardson out of Florida. Kentucky's Will levis the most

(32:08):
notable quarterback still waiting to be selected. The Texans, Eagles,
and Lions each had a pair of first round picks.
Texas traded up we told you about CJ.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
Stroud.

Speaker 14 (32:16):
They also get linebacker Will Anderson out of Alabama. Eagle
select defensive tackle Jalen Carter and linebacker Nolan Smith, both
from Georgia, and the Lions took running back Jamior Gibbs
out of Alabama and linebacker Jack Campbell from Iowa. More
NFL news. Right before the draft of Baltimore, Ravens sign
quarterback Lamar Jackson five years, two hundred and sixty million
dollars with one hundred and eighty five million in guaranteed money.
Now back to Brady Quinnlabar Aarrythony Jones, Knox, the Tirerack

(32:38):
dot Com, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (32:40):

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with the year coming
up top of next hour a little over ten minutes
from now from the tire rack dot Com studios. There's
some speculation to why something didn't happen at the draft
last night in the NFL. We'll tell you what that
is coming up here again a little over ten minutes
from now. Before we get to this weekend's edition of

(34:10):

Speaker 6 (34:26):
I have been loaded.

Speaker 14 (34:28):
You know you aligning low life gamely the.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
General it's over under all right, we'll back lead to lab.

Speaker 6 (34:35):
How do we do last week?

Speaker 11 (34:36):
I think I might have found where some miscommunication went
down you guys.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
So LaVar wasn't here last week.

Speaker 11 (34:42):
It was just Jonas and Brady heads up on over
Unders and there was only two categories you guys differentiated on.
It was a USFL game, Panthers versus Stars Over Unders
forty six and a half. Jonas took the under correct
correct pick. Panthers won twenty four to ten, and Davis
versus Garcia in Vegas rounds were seven and a half
over under, and of course Garcia went down in the seventh,

(35:06):
so Jonas took the under on that one. Those were
the only two you differentiated on. Jonas you went five
and oh last week Brady three and two. So Jonas,
you did, in fact go perfect score on over unders.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
Yeah, but that was the love. It didn't really count, right.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
This is true because LeVar wasn't there.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
You can't do that well.

Speaker 9 (35:25):
Not only beyond that, we had the bigger one, which
was the draft, which you are.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Awful because I was celebrating my win and over unders
last week, so I wasn't really fully focused on the draft.

Speaker 9 (35:34):
Oh you had some liverloob, that's what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
Yes to.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Throat classic guy. All right, So what have we got
this week?

Speaker 11 (35:43):
Al Right, you guys, a new batch of over unders.
We're gonna keep one here with the draft. Who's drafted first?
Will Levis or Hendon Hooker?

Speaker 5 (35:52):
Oh, I'm going Will Levis.

Speaker 8 (35:55):
I think it'll be Levis, but I don't know. I mean,
Hocus tape is way better this year. He is older,
but Levis is older, right, and uh, I mean the
only difference is obviously Levis.

Speaker 9 (36:06):
C's you know.

Speaker 8 (36:09):
It's funny though, as as Levis dropped, there's more discussion
about you know, Levis been needing a little bit of
a surgery on his toe.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Oh that's that again.

Speaker 9 (36:18):
The medical is the one mystery we never get.

Speaker 8 (36:21):
We're privy to. But I don't know, man, I mean,
Hendon Hooker supposedly interviewed better. He definitely had a better
he's better better tape. I'm torn. I'm at this point.
I'm gonna say, Hendon Hooker.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
I'll go with Will Levis.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
I will go with Will.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Woman's I mean sposed to make it and I'll explain
it to you on the Jonas Knock Show.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
Tomorrow to.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
Four eastern to the four eastern room. Listen to me, Johnson.
We call it a little sloppyedge on his show.

Speaker 12 (36:53):
Sloppy on his show, Sprinkle some takes on him, sprinkle
some sloppy on it.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
What else you got, lee As?

Speaker 11 (37:00):
We have Memphis showboats versus the Houston Gamblers on Fox.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
What's that?

Speaker 11 (37:04):
That's the USFL over under forty four Yeah, okay.

Speaker 6 (37:09):
Forty four huh under.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I'm gonna be all unders for this moving forward. Man,
the show Boat, I'm gonna just say over because I
don't give a good guy. Dang, how about that?

Speaker 6 (37:19):
Do you see the Showboats brought back the K gun?

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:22):
I did.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Yeah, I have no idea that you shoot the T shirt.

Speaker 9 (37:28):
No, it's the balloon over the clowns with the Buffalo
Bills frank.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
Right, yeah, oh yeah, big K gun guy here.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
I'm gonna take the overly like that offense there, and
it's Memphis right like that offense.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
That's right. And we also have playoff football in the XFL.

Speaker 11 (37:44):
Seattle Sea Dragons at the DC Defenders over under forty
eight and a half.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Under what he's under.

Speaker 9 (37:51):
Are you still doing scores for USFL.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
No XFL playoff football?

Speaker 5 (37:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Under first week of the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
We'll take the I mean you played pretty good defense.

Speaker 6 (38:00):
The DC defenders, I mean they have commanders.

Speaker 5 (38:03):
It's the commanders.

Speaker 6 (38:04):
Is it that the defenders?

Speaker 2 (38:06):
It's the defenders.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Oh, I thought the defenders was the NFL team. No,
and the commanders was the XFL team or the USFL.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Easy to get a mixed up.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
Yeah, okay, I'm sorry, it's.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
Still going to take the under. They come on, They're
built on the under. They're built on defense.

Speaker 11 (38:26):
From playoffs, from playoff football to playoff basketball. Games remaining
in the Lakers Grizzly series one and a half game
six tonight over?

Speaker 4 (38:36):
What's that?

Speaker 6 (38:36):
What do you say, Burdo? Right, that's over tonight.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
I'll take the over. Yeah, it's going to game seven.
Who's Brady got?

Speaker 5 (38:52):
I said the over?

Speaker 11 (38:54):
Next series over Kings at Warriors also game six games
remaining in this series one and over.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
Take that under under. Yes, I don't really know.

Speaker 6 (39:06):
I don't care.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
Is actually conference finals? For what is?

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Sacramento seems to be the better team. They just don't
know how to win the games.

Speaker 9 (39:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (39:15):
I feel like the NBA playoffs got longer and it's
just not as entertaining.

Speaker 5 (39:19):
I'd rather watch hockey.

Speaker 6 (39:20):
A lot of injuries, a lot of a lot of
other stuff going on.

Speaker 8 (39:24):
In the end, I just saying that hockey playoffs are
better than the NBA playoffs.

Speaker 5 (39:27):
Yeah, I'm sorry.

Speaker 8 (39:29):
Until you get down to the conference finals, then it's
I think it's a little more interesting.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
You know what's great about the NHL playoffs, So you
don't have to have a rooting interest. Just throw a
game on, doesn't matter who's playing, just throw it on
and just sit back and watch. By the way, Lee
all take the over on that. I think that's going
seven games as well too. Wow, dearon Fox and his
et finger so.

Speaker 5 (39:48):
His what finger?

Speaker 4 (39:49):
Et, it's like the tip of it, it's like glowing that.

Speaker 6 (39:53):
Because of that.
