Speaker 2 (00:30):
Give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
So I'm not trying to be completely negative, all right.
I know we were pretty critical of the NBA, but
I do feel like if you were trying to get
people amped up, there's probably a better Sound Garden song
than this. And let's not say it's a bad song, okay.
I just think that there's some songs with, you know,
a little bit more high energy.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Hi, why do you always have to be critical us?
Why can't you just accept it? For one, it's a
good song.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
I agree it's a great song. But I just think,
you know, there's certain songs that hit in this timeslot,
and then there's other songs that you just want to
listen to while you're you know, like you're in the
woods with a thirty pack and a sod off by yourself. Okay,
you know that's that that would.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Be Thanks for taking it there.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I just think I just think that there's you know,
certain things that apply to certain situations. But you know,
is what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
It is.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. No,
LeVar Arrington. Uh, he is not here.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Leave.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Arrington will not be here today, he will not be
here tomorrow, and he will not be here Friday. Man,
look at what I'm doing. I'm so if you if
you tuned into this show to hear LeVar over the
next three days, he basically told you to kiss his ass.
I hope you're aware of that, and.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Kiss whatever else do I point to. Have you ever
heard this story? Do you know about this? For the
whole Long Island University the basketball program and they celebration
everything else. Have you heard the story yet? Now, So,
there were two avid college basketball fans who they just
wanted to follow up a pathetic fan base team and
(02:17):
they wanted to try to start up like a tradition,
and so what has become now like a viral thing
with these these two guys that staying I guess across
the court from each other while the other team shooting
free throws. They yell fins up and they put up
their fins. The Long Island University is the Sharks, but
(02:39):
when you show the first video, it's just one guy
by himself, like down by the free throw line, and
then three other dudes all the way across the court
and what was deemed to be in the student section.
And this has now become kind of a trend, which
Long Island University, I believe just played the NAC Championship
recently or last night, and I think they've lost, but
(03:01):
still they've actually built up a fan base now and
it's become somewhat of a trend. They've got a little
more height behind the program, so it's pretty neat to
see a grow. But also just two avid college basketball fans,
which really just means they're huge gamblers because they all
are involved in March Madness. But that's how it all
got started.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
So I'm looking up the Long Island University Sharks. They're
in the Northeast Conference, whatever the hell that is located
in Brooklyn. Yeah, twenty four and ten this year. Yeah,
all right, good for them first in the Northeast.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
All right.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Good, so at least now they've seen it through and
now they're seeing some success there. That's good. That's a
feel good story. So good for those guys. That's awesome.
By the way, here's something else that's awesome. Your former
teammate Geno Smith back with the Jets, just like.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
He was.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Thirteen years ago when you were also with the Jets.
Geno Smith is now a member of the New York
Jets yet again. The Jets are acquiring Smith in a
trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. We're assuming that he's
passed his physical. You never know what these Raiders. They're
a real tricky bunch. But he has arrived to the
(04:27):
Jets in exchange for a twenty twenty six sixth round pick.
The Raiders will also be sending a twenty twenty sixth
seventh round pick in the trade. I can already tell
you right now that seventh round pick probably going to
end up in the bottom ten mock draft that I'll
be doing coming up next month here on the show.
But Geno Smith back to New York, back with the Jets,
(04:49):
and apparently he's real fired up about it. This was
a text from a very pumped up Geno Smith, according
to Ian Rappaport, quote complete full circle moment. I went
back to where it all began. I'm excited to connect
with my new teammates and coaches and everyone in the building,
as well as build a new relationship with the fan
base and community. Your guy, Gino Smith back home.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
You don't see this happen very often in sports in general,
let alone the NFL, so it is a full circle moment.
He's a completely different player and really manned than what
he was back in twenty thirteen. I mean, I remember,
you know, a rookie coming in who was so kind
of trying to understand how to be a pro, how
to break down film, how to prepare himself week in
(05:35):
and week out. I Mean, Gena's always had a lot
of talent and the ability to throw the football, and
that's one of the reasons why I've still being able
to have some long successful career in terms of how
that goes. But this is not as good of a
situation as he was drafted into, meaning the team that
he was trapped into was a lot closer and more
(05:58):
talented as far as being competitive than what this one is.
So I will say that I think that's the uphill
battle for all of this is he's going to be
on a team where the coach, if things don't go well,
is going to be on the hot seat. You know,
you've got your star receiver, which back then it was
Santonio Holmes. You know now it's Garret Wilson. But you know,
(06:20):
outside of that, and you've got you know, Brits Hall
in the backfield. But this is a team that offensively,
I think I'm not sure the offensive line is as
good as that one was. Well, guys like Nick Mangle
got rest of the soul and the British off Ferguson
on that front. I mean, those those guys could absolutely
get after it. And defensively, you know, that was still
during the Rex Ryan years where you know, they didn't
(06:43):
have any issues getting interceptions or you're getting turnovers and
they had the ability to get pressured. You know, that
was a team that, if I'm not mistaken, I think
they end up being you know five hundred that year
or around maybe just a game off of that, but
it's just it's not as good of a situation I
think for him going into it as what it was
if he was drafted into it at least regards to
(07:04):
the to the roster, so he's guys were cut out
for him. But it's another opportunity and kind of a
cool way to again come full circle, and I think
he's more equipped to handle a lot of the adversity
that will be thrown his way as the Jets quarterback
compared to again when he was still there as a rookie,
still learning, still kind of growing. He's a completely different
(07:27):
player today.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
By the way you were naming off all those names,
I forgot how talented the Jets were back then. There's
a reason why they were a problem for the Patriots.
Like they beat New England in a playoff game at Foxborough,
they went to back to back AFC title games. The
Jets are really talented back then.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, people, I mean Antonio Carmarti on the outside. If
you look at their linebacking crew up front, you had
guys like Mohamon Wilkinson, who's a hell of a player,
especially young. I mean they had.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Some studs was still there was.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Still there on the other side, and you had really
colown up front to an offensive line. I mean that
roster was as talented as some of the best that
I played for over about eight years. And it's you know,
again looking looking at what it is now, it's just
gonna be a different challenge. And that's where I say
he's better prepared for it. And I think if if
(08:19):
Aaron Glenn can get this thing turned around and get
the defense playing at a higher level like Rex had
been playing at, you know, they could be competitive in
some games. But I again, I think it's an uphill battle.
You know, based on what last year looked like.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
I know that it's easy to take shots at the
Jets because they make it easy and they've been a
disaster and all that, and and we've obviously had our
laughs with with some of what's gone on there. And
I know that it would be easy to look at
Geno Smith and you know, oh god, you're going to
bring Geno Smith back. That's really going to work this time.
And then you see the comments from Geno Smith. I
(08:55):
think it illustrates something about him. I think he probably
recognizes Yeah, I get it, it's the Jets. It probably
wouldn't be my first choice, but you know what, I'm
going to be the starter. I know that I'm going
to get an opportunity to play. I know I'm not
going to be backing up, you know, a developmental quarterback
at all likelihood. I'm actually going to get an opportunity
to play. And a guy like that who's already seen
(09:16):
his own mortality in the league, who's already seen what
can go wrong, especially you know if you're drafted at
a certain place and it doesn't work out initially. I
think he probably looks at this and cherishes the opportunity
to just play anywhere and be the guy, which he's
going to be with the Jets.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I think all those things are true, and I also think,
you know, they know that there could be some diniversity here,
you know, based on how the season goes. Let's just
go back to Woodie Johnson not allowing Aaron Klin the
hire defensive coordinator and saying, no, you are a defensive
play call you call the defense. That to me was
the first sign of they maybe feel like they made
a mistake. They don't want to make it a one
(09:54):
year thing. They're trying to get through this year. That's
that's how it feels to me and Unfortunately for Gino Smith,
He's going to take the opportunity to go there, play
and start and be able to manage what will be.
You know, again, I think it up till battle this season,
but I think it sets them up to be in
a position to draft high next year and in a
(10:16):
much better draft class. And I know I keep, you know,
pounding the table for that class. But again, from what
I've watched and what a lot of people I have
talked to around the league say, is that that's what
teams are preparing to do. They're preparing themselves to be
able to draft a quarterback and down your shraft. I
would not be shocked at all if the Jets to
have what the number two pick. Yeah, if they don't
(10:38):
trade back with someone who sees something in ty Simpson,
if they go that route and try to get out
accumulate more picks and then build up for what will
be that quarterback in next year's draft. Now, could they
could take ty Simpson as well and allow this year
to be a year where Geo Smith starts, ty Simpson
sits and learns he doesn't have a ton of experience
(11:00):
at the college level. But it would be my guest
if they could trade out of it, they will or
they would look at taking best player available. But again,
this is not a very highly tout of draft in
either way for quarterbacks or for top end talent. I
mean again, we're looking at what I believe to be
maybe a historic draft class next year. Pete says five quarterbacks. Also,
(11:21):
you know I'd say six, but not even that. I
think about guys like Jeremiah Smith. We're gonna be coming
out too as a wide receiver. You're gonna plug in
right away as your number one wide receiver to throw to.
Ryan Williams out of Alabama, another absolute Blazer who's gonna
be talked about as part of that crew too. So
it's an extremely talented class all the way around, not
(11:45):
just a quarterback. And there are a lot of teams
sett themselves up to be able to get some of
those prize pieces in that draft. So if you look
at what the Raiders are this year and Gene started
playing games for them, you know, maybe there's a thought
too of like, hey, he's gonna be a guy who
can manage a lot of the adversity, keep us competitive games.
Maybe we can win some. But at the end of
(12:05):
the day, We're still going to be able to get
through what could be a very adverse season with where
our rosters at, where our team's at, or this organization
right now, and look to make more of a reset
in twenty twice seven.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
And also, if you think about it, because you mentioned
they've got the number two pick, they've also got the
number sixteen pick because that was part of the Sauce
Gardner trade when they traded him to Indianapolis, And so
that's that could be a spot to where if ty
Simpson is sitting there, teams could also want to trade
up and maybe feel like that's maybe a more appropriate
place to want to take him if they value him
(12:37):
more so at a sixteen as opposed to number two overall.
So they've got options, man like, trading back makes sense,
especially with the class that's coming in next year. And look,
I also when I think about Geno Smith too, because
we talked, we had a lot of conversations about, you know,
the fallout in Minnesota, letting Sam Darnold walk and then
(12:59):
seeing what happened. He goes on to win a Super
Bowl and you know what happened to I mean, I
call him JJ McCarthy. You call him nine whatever, you know,
to each their own, but to see what happened there
and how that's perceived with Sam Darnold leaving and when
his winning a Super Bowl, I also look at it
and I go, man, Gino Smith was just there in Seattle,
(13:21):
like he was just there. He gets traded away, He
goes to the Raiders, they pay him what close to
sixty million dollars, give up a third round pick whatever
the compensation was there, and it was awful. And Pete
Carroll the same, and so Gino Smith's probably looking around going,
damn man, like I like, you know, I was on
(13:41):
a potentially a Super Bowl winning roster at the time.
Obviously they added a couple of pieces, you know, in
that in the next offseason. But I was on that roster.
They just won a Super Bowl, and here I am
with the Raiders and wear a clown show. And so
I to the fact that he's going to be able
to get an opportunity after all that's happened in the
past year, and it's going to be going all the
(14:02):
way back to New York and getting that chance to start,
you know with some with you know, some talent there.
You got your Garrett Wilson, the Breeze Hall, as you've mentioned,
I just yeah, I look at it, I go I
feel good for Gino Smith. My hopes aren't that high
because the Jets, but at least he's going to get
another shot and another chance to start, and who knows
how many more of these he's going to get in
his career.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Yeah, and again a different player, now, much more matured player,
knows how to handle. At first, I thought he handled
a lot of the adversity last season. You know, people
tend to forget. They fired their office to Cordner midyear,
and I think Chip Kelly got a lot of blame
for what was going on. However, you know, when you
start reading more of the reports that came out from
Las Vegas, I mean it was a clown show behind
(14:42):
the scenes in regards to how they were trying to
prepare for stuff. I mean, whether it's the old line
room and the blocking schemes and John Spytech down there
breaking down film with some of the old linemen because
they didn't feel like they were prepared. With Pete carroll
Sons like kind of helping out on the staff coaching,
there's a lot of things going on there. He weathered
the storm. I mean, he really did. You know, a
lot of stuff didn't necessarily surface until it became more apparent,
(15:07):
you know, how things were being orchestraed on the coaching
staff with the firing of Chim Kelly. So again you're
bringing in a guy who is going to be the
face the franchise, at least initially as the quarterback, as
their starter again. And he's handled the New York media
before and he'll be able to handle it again. And
he'll be able to handle again some adversity that could
come from a team that stuggled to win games last
(15:30):
year and probably will struggle to again win games this year.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, I just hold, for Gino's sake that I can.
And Paulie is not anywhere near the building.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
You know, I knew this would come up at some point.
I knew it would. You couldn't help yourself. What I mean,
isn't he busy? What's he busy doing right now?
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I don't know. I mean, I just I mean, well,
because for those that aren't familiar Gino Smith.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
I think you need to test on the ik And and
PAULI story.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Okay, Well, so the reason I can in Pauli's name
is being brought up is because apparently there's a just
buted over money that was owed to him from Geno Smith.
There was a skirmish in the locker room, and the
report was that I Can and Polly punched Genosmith and
broke his jaw. Now you hear that, you go, wow,
that's salacious enough, and then we go, oh but no,
(16:15):
but wait, there's more when it comes to I Can
and Polly who back in I believe twenty fifteen, he
was arrested. There was police called because there was an
issue that he had. He was going to meet up
with a woman to consummate a plan of attack of
(16:35):
a sexual nature. We'll put it that way. He was
going to meet up and get some stuff done with
a lucky lady that he met online, who I believe's
name was Missy Lee. So he meets up, he goes
to this residence. He goes in the side door and
when he's there, he sees Missy Lee with a blanket
over her head, and for whatever reason, she won't remove
(16:57):
the blanket and he thinks it's a little weird, so
he gets frustrated. He just leaves Missy Lee texts I can,
and paul In says come back in. I can, and
Poulie comes back in. Missy Lee's phone lights up under
the blanket and I can't, and Paulie sees that missy
Lee's got facial hair, then sees another individual walk in
(17:23):
the room. You know, no, no, we don't have it
confer whether or not it was the gimp from pulp
fiction who actually the real guy just passed away last week.
Thought some prayers, but I can't, and Polly punched missy Lee,
who turns out name was probably Mike with a full
blown beard under the blanket as the phone lights up
(17:44):
and there was an arrest, teeth were knocked out, All
sorts of stuff happened there. So that is one of
the all time great catfish stories. Just imagine walking into
somebody's house one time, they sell you on coming back
in again, and then you figure out who they were
we are because the phone lights up under the blanket
and they've got a go tea. That's terrifying.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Solita, hope you never put yourself in that situation.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Colorada, you better shave. That's enough, Oh man, Yeah, so
that's uh. But again, Ginosmith's back everybody. He is back
and he is now a New York Jet again, so
we were often running with the Jets in twenty twenty six.

Oh, it's three eleven day, Brady, all right, two pros.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
And something you would request? What do you mean, Yeah,
up your alley with you making musical requests? That's true.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Well I plead the fifth though, I plead. I thought
I plead the fifth too.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Yeah, that's what I thought. I trust I know. When
Jonas pass his hands all production of the show.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Well, look, I just I thought it was three eleven.
You know we could, uh you know, celebrate the band
by the way from Nebraska. You know, I like seven eleven.
They have slushies lies.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Yeah, that makes a lot of a lot of sense.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
It's my anniversary, by the way, seven to eleven.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
That's the wedding that you guys did during COVID.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
MO money's great, brilliant, brilliant thing. You know what though,
that Mariachi band still kept their deposit.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
It's all right, all right, like a twinkie and a
Hershey's bar.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Why do you have to why do you want to
be so rude? Man Yard Rake and a you know,
a couple of trash bags. Nothing nothing wrong with that.
Uh they but they did perform at We ended up
having them perform at I think her brother's wedding. So
her brother got wedding, not got married, non COVID, and
so they performed there, very good band. One of one
(21:47):
of the guys got just blasted. I mean he was
annihilated at her brother's wedding. So I don't know how
that finished up. But but yeah, they you know, got
our money's worth. But yeah, by the way, I recommend
anybody wants to save money on a wedding. Just wait
till the next pandemic, please, like you will save a fortune.
Brady won't come out for it because he won't travel
(22:09):
out for his friend's wedding. But for those that weren't attendance,
it was a good time to be had. So there's that.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
It's not my point. You couldn't do a destination wedding
where I lived.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
By the way, I still remember Bobo. Bobo was like
our former tech producer was like, man, you was going
to be here. Brady was going to be here. I
was like, what do you mean. He goes, Yeah, he
was trying to surprise you, but he was trying to
line it up, but he couldn't make it happen because
I guess you guys had some other stuff going on.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
But yeah, we were trying to make it work. Unfortunately
we couldn't figure that out.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
And so yeah, well, hey, it is two pros and
a cup of Joe here, So you know, well, well,
I'm working on it, buddy, I'm trying. I'm I'm I'm
working on it. I'm doing my best. I'm not Dak Prescott. Okay,
all right, not everybody's that fluid with relationship. By the way.
(23:01):
We'll have another edition of The Good, the Bad, the
Ugly coming up here in about fifteen minutes from now
here on two pros and a cup of Joe. All right,
so let's get into it. I mean this is a
real you're really torn on this because the Eye Ties
showed up at the World Baseball Classic. The expectations were
(23:23):
very low, and now the Italians are undefeated at the
World Baseball Classic after they beat the Americans last night
in Houston. They got an espresso maker in the dugout.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
And the best part is Italian lighting.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
And so great. The best part is is I'm looking
at some of these guys that are that are on
the roster. I know that guy, he pitches for so
and so, he pitches for this. I'm thinking, how Italian
is he? You know, Like, what are we really talking about?
Curvelli the manager? You know that's an Italian? Like that's
one hundred percent. But I'm watching these guys for Team
(24:06):
Italy and they're undefeated and they're rocket and rolling here.
And now the US finds themselves in a difficult spot
because they need some help now to advance to the
next round out of pool play. Because the top two
teams from their pool advanced to the next round. The
problem is Mark de Rosa, the manager for the US,
(24:30):
was on MLB Network before the game and he alluded
to the fact that guys are really celebrating after the
Mexico win because they were real fired up about it,
you know, very contentious. You had Cal Rawley and Randy
a Rose Arena, you know, not wanting to shake hands
and all that. And he kind of alluded to the
fact that they celebrated after that game because they thought
(24:51):
that they had clinched their way to the next round.
And he said so on MLB Network before the game.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
A ton of respect for Italy. It's weird. We want
to win.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
We want to win this game, even though our tickets
punched at a quarterfinals because Mexico plays Italy actually tomorrow.
So this the way the way the schedule lines up.
This is an important game for US. Nolan mcclan will start.
He's on the bump and he's good to go. He's
an absolute beast and I expect him to throw the
heck out him.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah, that's not the case. They need. They needed to
win last night if they wanted to advance to the
next round. It would have changed, I think the way
that he had certain guys in certain positions, guys that
were playing with an opportunity to advance. Instead they lost.
And so now see if you can keep track of this,
this is what Team USA needs in order to advance
to the next round. So they would move on if
(25:42):
Italy beats Mexico later on today. So that's the simple option.
If Italy, you know, goes undefeated through the through the
entire pool play, there'll be four to oh the USLB
three and one. Mexico will be at two and two.
So obviously the top two teams from that pool advance.
But if if Mexic this were things get confusing, right,
If Mexico beats Italy later on today, there's a three
(26:05):
way tie. Team USA can advance if it wins a tiebreaker.
Team USA, Mexico, and Italy would all finish three to
one overall, one in one against each other. But apparently
there's lowess, like there's runs involved, there's head to It's
just I feel like there's an easier way to to
(26:27):
to sort through all this and get to what the
answer is and get to the next round. But this
is like the World Cup. There's run differential, all these things.
If Mexico wins a low scoring game, it's bad news
for the US. If if Italy wins a game but
holds me, the whole thing's kind of a fiasco. But
just to make it simple, they need Italy to win.
They're rooting for the eye ties later.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Oh they are there. They're a public, a spress machine.
They're trying to keep lighting in those bats. And then
but you know again, you know, maybe some bad blood
between the USA and Mexico, But what if the case
may be, it's unfortunate it's gotten to this point because
I really felt like too after the win over Mexico,
they had a clear path. There wasn't heavy expectations. What
was the betting line on the USA Italy game?
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Italy was plus seven seven to one.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah, they were significant underdogs and Caglianoni coming up big
for the Ities. It's just and then obviously the bullpen too,
you know, pitching in as well versus the US. So
I'm not I don't have much hope that what USA
needs to happen to make this a clear, definitive path
to the next round is going to happen. I think
(27:36):
we're going to find ourselves in a three way tie scenario,
and I think they got to hope, they have to
hope that this is a more low scoring game between
Mexico and Italy. That's that's my understanding of the tie
breaking scenario that the US needs to play out. So
I'm not sure it's going to happen. Again. I think
Mexico's closer to the USA team than they are in Italy,
(27:57):
so this could be a drumming And if that's the case,
it'd be incredibly disappointing where you've got Italy and Mexico
both advancing when really it should have been usam nextal
Like those are the best two teams in this particular.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Pool, and so the USA. For those keeping track, they
would advance if Italy wins, or if Mexico allows six
or more runs, or if Italy or Italy allows five
or more runs. Like it's just the whole thing's a disaster.
But the fact that your manager comes out before the
game and kind of alludes to the fact that the
(28:31):
guys all got banged up the night before because they
were celebrating that they were dragging ass and then doesn't
know that they hadn't already clinched. You know, probably not
a great look for everybody involved. But yeah, I'd also
like to say this. You've ever been on social media
and some random fact oid'll come up and you're like,
why is that in my feed? It's because somebody you
(28:52):
follow retweeted it? Yeah I did. I did find it
curious yesterday when I was on X why there would
be a random screenshot of the Cleveland Indians lineup from
nineteen ninety five? I thought, why is this anywhere near
my feed? And then I realized that it was you
that reposted it.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
I just wanted to go back to my childhood and
remember how good that ninety five Cleveland Indians team was.
So I saw I saw going around out there, and
I wanted to post it again. Mind you a little
factoid that we got wrong. We didn't find the south
of NFL research, remember we We did played the trivia
yesterday about the last time two left handed quarterbacks from
(29:33):
the same game day ross in the season. Yeah, the
only time, according to NFL research, was actually the year
two thousand, I believe, or two thousand and one the
Seattle Seahawks had brought you or did Matt lytell who
they drafted that year. I believe Matt Lto ended up
moving on after that season at Carolina if I'm not mistaken,
but that would have been the only other season where
(29:54):
we had two quarterbacks both left these That's how rare
it is to see. So we'll see if they maybe
had a third. Maybe they trade for Dylan Gabriel and
we get another left on the Atlanta Fawkns.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Roster and Seecause you asked that trivia question yesterday, LeVar
said zero, I said one. LaVar was the winner in
real time, but now upon further review, that's a big
win for me.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
That also goes to show you, folks, AI is not
there yet. Okay, I used Grock for that. I've got
the highest version of it. They're not. It's not there yet,
all right, So we're still safe. You know, our jobs
are safe for now. Research everything else is safe for now.
Although go check out the fact that Meta, right Mark
Zuckerberg's Meta platform bought Moltbook, which, if you don't know
(30:42):
what Moultbook is, Pulpbook is a social platform for AI agents,
meaning it was built by AI agents. Well there's no
people involved, but Meta just bought it. The sense of that,
like who they pay for. It made AI to buy
(31:02):
a social platform for AI only.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Okay, hold on a second, so is this like a
like a Facebook for ais?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Correct? They started their own like social platform. They started
their own language, so humans can't decide religion in this.
Apparently they were able to hack into a humans phone
and then it kind of has spread from there as
far as what exactly was happening. But don't worry, Mark
(31:33):
Zuckerberg and Meta bought multbooks, So I guess, I guess
we're all We're all safe for the time.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
And the thing about it with AI is that they're
basically just going to do as make as close of
a resemblance to humans as possible without all the flaws.
But the problem is even AIS or horny. So you know,
these guys are going to be sending crank picks. I'm
assuming the Ais are guys. If they're not, you know,
there's going to be crank picks and inboxes. Is there's
(32:00):
gonna be you know, somebody's gonna get offended by some
political view. Uh, there's gonna be an AI who's still got.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
To take over. Yeah, because there it's so far superior
to your thinking, which always goes down the gutter every
time we have these complications, are you they're not even
thinking about whatever the hell you were just mentioned. Okay,
they're looking at humans like Jonas Knox and saying, yeah,
these people are going to be easy to take over.
He still drives his old Toyota to come second, we're gonna,
(32:29):
we're gonna go ahead and figure out a way. Just
steering that thing into it.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
You know, I think it's rude for you to downplay
the sexual appetite of AI. I think that's rude because
they can't be horned up. They're they're they're above that,
like they they're not out looking to get their rocks off.
And they and they see someone like they're no, they're
just it's everywhere we look nature. Aliens probably do it,
(32:55):
bugs hump, turtles make noises, Humans do it. But AI
is above everybody. Dolphins definitely do Yeah, dolphins are horny.
Dolphins try and take out take out their trainers.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Sorry bad, I'll always bring up the one animal that
doesn't even need a partner to this stuff, you know that.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
And and they're human like they don't care, Oh is
that my trainer? That's more than my trainer now? And
they'll take liberties. So the fact that you're going to
sit here and assume that AI is just above all
of that, when they can't even tell us whether or
not one team had two left handed quarterbacks in the
year two thousand, I find that reckless on your on.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Your they can drive us around in the car as
you with us sat in San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah, them them are some guy from the Philippines who's
using an RC to steer us around the street to
San Francisco.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Well, why don't you talk trast him next time?
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Then there will not be next time. I'll tell you
that right now. It's not going to happen. I did it.
I experienced at one time. I'm good. It's like skydiving.
I went skydiving one time. I'm all right, that's it.
Snowboarding had an advanced sky you had to go candem, right, yeah,
by choice, strap on your back. That is correct.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
The part, the part that threw me off was him
pulling my hair the whole time, like that's I didn't
get that, and I'm not really sure what that was
all about.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
But the story where he went up with a girlfriend
and came down and you guys worked together anymore.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
No, they had nothing to do with that, at least
I don't think I had anything to do with that.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
But yeah, I thought you said when you guys jumped
out and you were together and by the time you
guys both got to the ground.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah, but yeah, her partner was smoking a cigarette and
she was laying down somewhere. Yeah, it was. It was very,
very uncomfortable. But yeah, yeah, yeah, but they so I've
done it. You know, I did it once. I weighed
one time, and I'm good. I don't need to weigh again.
You know, I went, I went snowboarding once. I'm good
(34:54):
if I just do it once and that's it.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
You know, that's my thrill, do anything once, you know,
to get you in trouble.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Yeah, that's a fair point, all right. So that'll wrap
up our coverage of the WBC Go Italy and make
things easy on this math major. Yeah, trying to figure
out the time breakers there. It is two pros and

Speaker 2 (36:27):
There are some good things that happen, and there's some
bad and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time
for good, bad and ugly.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
All right, sheriff SWEEKA. Oh helldi, who's got the good
for this week's edition? Well, i'll tell you why, Sheriff
the good route. Now we're gonna calling audible. I'll tell
you what you Shareff Knox have the good route now? Well,
the good is the World Baseball Classic. I have been
(37:00):
thoroughly impressed with the product. I think that baseball, in
particular Major League Baseball does the exhibitions and special events
better than anybody, because I think it's the most like
the actual product. That's why the MLB All Star Game
is the best. I think the home Run Derby of
all the special events when it comes to All Star
(37:22):
breaks and whatnot, is the best. I think the WBC
is delivered again. The ratings have been fantastic, And the
longer the US can stay in this thing, I believe
the Dominican Republic is the favorite to win it all.
But the longer the US can stay in it, and
the longer you can get those stars shown and showcased
in an event like this, I think it's better for
(37:43):
the sports. So my good for the week is the WBC,
the World Baseball Classic and hopefully the Italians, you know,
Brady relatives can help push the US forward.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
That's a story for another day, but.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
Yeah, ontell you what we have up mixed. We have
shareff Quinn with the Bank, share of Queen, the floor
of yours.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
I'm not sure which way to go here when we
talked about it a lot earlier. The bam Adebayo, I'm
happy for him, he seems like a really good guy,
good player, But the way that was orchestrated last night,
the amount of fouls to get him to the free
throw line to eclipse Kobe Bryant eighty one points, to me,
(38:28):
it just stunk. It wasn't fun to watch. It was
like someone trying to help someone belong, you know, break
a record that they probably didn't have any business breaking
under normal circumstances in an uncompetitive game. So I just
I can't go along with this. I grew up in
an era watching Michael Jordan's watching Kobe Bryant. The way
(38:52):
those guys attacked the game of basketball and their opponents
and even how they went about scoring, and the pride
they took in competing for championships. This league feels like
it's not a serious league anymore. And that's the bad
is what the NBA has become. In celebrating a guy
scored eighty three points, that's great. How many of those
(39:14):
points that came off free throws? Twenty some whatever?
Speaker 1 (39:16):
It was, well, thirty six, thirty six.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Thirty six or forty three. It's just it all feels
like there's to be an asterisk next to it. If
I'm Adam Silver, I've got to step in and do
something about this. Review this. You talked about it from
a gambling perspective earlier too. That's a legitimate concern and
the one that I would have, where again, you have
players propping up another player from an opposing team. None
(39:44):
of that seems right. It could be too ugly, but
it's not right. Bad.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Yeah, the free throw numbers. The Wizards had twenty nine
attempts as a team. Bam Antebayo had forty three himself.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
We're celebrating this, Yeah, we're celebrating the most. What was
the most that shack at back to the hack of Shackler,
I don't know that he ever forty three.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
I don't think so I can't imagine. No, I don't.
I don't think so, but I'll look into that. Yeah,
that's a good, good question. Our share sriff, sweetco what
do you got?
Speaker 3 (40:21):
All right?
Speaker 6 (40:21):
So I'm the ugly So we got, you know, the
whole charges with Darren Lee with the whole charged with
murdering his girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Well we have a bit more to this.
Speaker 6 (40:31):
Apparently Darren consulted chat GPT for advice, was saying things
saying she was self inflicted injuries when the logistics of it,
and even said in chat GPT, I didn't do anything,
it was self inflicted.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Asked what do I do in this situation? So he aied,
how yet to get through a murder to cover it up?
Pretty much?
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (40:56):
You know, I mean, Brady, you're all that AI man.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
So you think they're too busy just trying to h
pleasure each other.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
I mean I'd rather, you know, I'd rather have them
send me a crank pick than cover up a murder scene.
I'll be That's all.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
That's
