we've seen a handful of games that have been released
by the NFL. The schedule is out today and tomorrow,

(01:50):
and we've seen the international schedule come out.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
If you're just tuning in.

Speaker 7 (01:54):
Week four Week five, for the first time ever, the
Jaguars will go back to back this upcoming season, the
first game being in London against the Atlanta Falcons. The
next game will be against the Bills. That's Week five.
Week six we'll see the Ravens and Titans at Tottingham
which is in London as well too, and then weeks

(02:15):
nine and weeks ten we'll see the Dolphins and the
Chiefs in Germany, followed by the Colts and Patriots in Germany.
So there was some speculation maybe it would be the
Bears and the Chiefs. That is not happening. Tyreek Hill
will face the Chiefs this time around, and it'll do
it in Germany. And then there was some talk that
it would be the Saints and the Patriots. That's not happening.

(02:37):
It's going to be the Indianapolis Colts. So then the
big question was, well, what's the debut game going to be?
What game is going to kick off the season? And
I was dead set that it was going to be
the Cincinnati Bengals at the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
I called my shot.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
I said, that's happening, and if you know the way
that I gamble, you know to go to the ivers
in So, not only is it not the first game
to start off the season Bengals Chiefs will be the
final day of the year. That'll be December thirty, first
week seventeen, at four twenty five Eastern time, which I'm
a little surprised by. But nonetheless, it looks like the
Chiefs are going to be playing somebody other than the

(03:14):
Bengals come Week one, and apparently not the the Dolphins
as well either because obviously they're playing them overseas, So
there's that.

Speaker 8 (03:23):
Is Philly Kansas City in the works potentially.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Would that not surprise you for week one? I would
love that. I would love that.

Speaker 8 (03:31):
It'd be awesome.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
But to be continued, yeah, you know what I mean,
Like that was like a to be continued type of
Super Bowl, Like what would have happened if Jalen got
the ball back? You could play you could play that,
you know, play that storyline.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You know.

Speaker 8 (03:43):
Wait, let's go back to some real quickly.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
So you said Chiefs Bengals week seventeen or technically be eighteen.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Right, week seven games? It says, yeah, week seventeen, that's
what it's listed as.

Speaker 8 (03:53):
So it's not the last week then, no.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
Second to last, because the last week they would do
the division games. They would probably match up, you know,
them and the Raven.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well that's what I was gonna say though, because this
is interesting from the standpoint that it could be for
the number one overall seed in the AFC. And that's why,
like if it was the very final game or final
week at the season, I could find it highly intriguing
for that reason.

Speaker 8 (04:13):
But I'm sure that.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
They want to give both those teams opportunities if they
are the number one seeds, and maybe that's already decided
at that point to allow one of those two teams
to rest their starters for Week eight teams. So it
makes sense I think from that standpoint.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
Yeah, the other teams it would be potential candidates for
the season opener would be obviously the Broncos, the Chargers,
the Raiders, potentially the Bills, but the Bills were just
in the season opener last year. I'd be surprised if
they went that direction. And then you know you've got
the Bears and the Lions, Like it does feel like
maybe the Eagles do make the most sense that that fun.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
But I could see Denver two would be a really
interesting one with Sean Payton there, you know, put them
in the spotlight like that, see what that team looks
like this year. I think Denver is one of the
more intriguing teams. It really is. When you think about
just Sean Payton being there. What last year looked like
it felt like a dumpster fire at times, but that's

(05:13):
such a talented roster you'd have to believe that Sean
Payton can help improve Russell Wilson, but the entire team
to help them be a competitive team.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
They've also invested a lot in the offensive line as
well too, Like they've gotten better. I mean they've they've
addressed issues there.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
But aren't you.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Curious to see if he can do what he was
able to do in New Orleans?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Right? Like?

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Because there is there is always the possibility that whatever
all of the structure, infrastructure in place, everything that was
in play for Peyton to have the type of success
that he was able to create and build in New Orleans,
Kenny redo it and how long will it take? Like

(05:55):
how long did it take for him to turn around
New Orleans? It wasn't a quick turnaround if I recall correct?

Speaker 8 (06:00):
Three years.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
Yeah, it wasn't that long though, because he isn't a
quick turnaround.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
But Drew Brees got there.

Speaker 7 (06:06):
When he got there, they went to an NFC title
game in O seven they played the Bears, and then
it was a couple of years later they won a
Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
So I mean, it'll be I'm interested to see if
he can rekindle or actually redo it, because it you know,
it's a it's a fifty to fifty proposition, right I
mean he can go and be an Andy Reid who
had great success and then had more at a different organization.
Or it could be you know, you kind of are

(06:37):
like a Marty Schottenheimer and you kind of stayed a part,
you know, with what you do, or it could be
you it goes bad when you go somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
But I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I mean, Doug Peterson was able to redo it as well.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I was just going to say, like, well, how many
coaches have have have been to two Super Bowls with
I should say super Bowls with multiple teams, not even
one of them just been there as head coach Sean Fox.

Speaker 8 (07:03):
John Fox is obviously one.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Yep, Andy Reed Parcels.

Speaker 8 (07:08):
L Unfortunately for Fox he didn't win either.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah yeah, Parcels and obviously was won two now but
once a.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Win in Philly, Dan Reeves, that's a good one. Shots
out to Dan Rey.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
What a good dude he was, man, jeez, it was
really cool linebacker by the.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Way, Sean Payton in his first year they went ten
to six in that NFC championship game. Then there was
seven to nine, eight and eight. Then it was his
fourth season he went thirteen to three win the super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
So he got out to a quick start.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I mean, listen, if you know how to win, they say, well,
you make a million bucks one time, you can make
a million bucks one hundred times.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Like, if you know how to win, you know how
to win, if you know how to structure what you're
going to structure, and you have the support, which I
think will be the major piece, which you got to
assume that they're going to support him in Denver. So
if that's what he has, I mean, there's no he's
gonna believe that he's not going to get you know,
positive results in coming in like maybe even immediately.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Will he get suspended for another season? Is that not
gonna go?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (08:10):
That wasn't really connected to him though, That was that
was that was fake tough. He suffered the punishment though. Yeah,
but it was tough guy who did that though?

Speaker 5 (08:19):
Greg?

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Greg who Greg Williams? You know, I don't have no
problems calling out a name, do you actively?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Greg Williams?

Speaker 2 (08:28):
You know?

Speaker 5 (08:29):
I mean, but defensive coordinator.

Speaker 7 (08:30):
So there was the reason I bring that up is
there was a five year stretch in New Orleans where
they were in two thousand and nine, thirteen and three,
eleven and five, thirteen and three, seven and nine, eleven
and five. The seven and nine year was the year
in which Sean Payton was suspended, so they were on
a little bit of a run there and then things
kind of got derailed, and then you know, the NFC

(08:53):
title game, the Rams non p I call, and uh,
you know it just I think it's just fun to
have Sean Payton. Sean Payton was great on Fox, by
the way. He was really entertaining. He seems like a
fun guy to hang out with.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Would you rather have Sean Payton or Drew Brees on
your on your broadcast?

Speaker 8 (09:10):
I mean, Sean Payne did a hell of a.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Job, Yes he did. Okay, he certainly didn't go on
Drew Brees. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
I mean I think either would do a fine job. Okay,
that's what I think. I'm going with Breeze. And I'm
paying him more than Tony Romo.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
You're paying Drew Brees more than Tony Romo. That's right.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Oh take them apples? Yeah, how about that for that?
And you bring my boy back in and put him,
put him in that booth, you know, paying all that money?

Speaker 7 (09:39):
Yeah, all right, I just give all that money to
Brady Quinn personally, you know.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
But but Brady's like, you know, the face of Big
New Kickoff though. Yeah, he can call games too, Yeah
he does call games. I mean spot duty. Something goes
on in the booth there he is. Haven't you been
considered for for one of those major calls, you know,
call teams.

Speaker 8 (10:01):
Gotta be a name.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Oh come on, dude, you're a bigger name than Olson.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Exactly, exactly.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I mean, you gotta get Greg is tremendous.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
That's not hate. It would be hate if it wasn't true.
By the way. You see Tom Brady call that report
a fake news.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
He stopped that Berto when, uh what happened the big
ass kiss noise?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Stop that? Give my boys some love. Yeah, there's nothing
row with celebrating each other. That's what we get paid
for talk radio.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
Do you see Tom Brady called that fake news? That
report that I think it was Andrew Marshawn had said
that he could be getting cold feet, maybe not wanting
to do the Fox deal.

Speaker 8 (10:46):
What was the plan again? So this year it would.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
Be like the train, Yeah, the train, and.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Then pitching every once in a while, and then the
following years when he'd start.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Yeah, they start next year.

Speaker 8 (10:56):
I keep going back to like NFL Europe.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
If NFL Europe had exist, he'd be over there this
time of year right now, and he'd be doing some games,
like I don't even know that you'd have to wait
till twenty twenty four. He would be doing some games
to get a feel for it, and then he'd be
able to go into the broadcast booth come this fall.
But we don't have something that really exists like that.
I mean USFL XFL. You'll see networks, you know, giving

(11:22):
some opportunity for players there that want to transition into it.
But NFL Europe, I feel like, provided an opportunity to
get the reps and not the like harsh criticism and
go through some growing pains where XFL and USFL, like
you're turning on a national network here and you're going
to hear about it if you're having a hard time

(11:43):
starting off, and it's kind of unfair.

Speaker 8 (11:45):
Sometimes you know, you.

Speaker 7 (11:46):
Don't have wondered and Patricks would probably know this as
well too. When you do those tryouts when you're calling
games and they put you in a booth, like what
is this setup? Like they give you a booth, they
give you a game that took place last year, and
you sit next to somebody and just call it like
it's normal game.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah, I mean it's it's different for the analysts. So
usually they'll have an experience played by play, and you know,
for most guys who are in that situation, they're gonna
know exactly what happened in that game, or they should.

Speaker 8 (12:13):
Like that's the first side.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
If you walk in there and you're auditioning and some
and the usually they won't tell you the game, or
they might tell you that the division, or they might
tell you the time of the game during that season,
so you can go in and research and you can
have some like storylines too for the league at that
point or that season at that point, just for the
players and everything. You should be able to be prepared

(12:36):
enough to build a coming in and just talk generally
and then talk specifically about what's happening in the game.

Speaker 8 (12:41):
So they're kind of.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Looking for a little bit of everything, and how you
prepare for that opportunity, and a lot of times dictates,
you know, their first impression of what they think, and
then how you're able to kind of talk while auditioning
plays a role. But it's yeah, it's essentially that you're
watching an older game and you're just talking football, you know,
over time of that, and it's it's not easy to
do because a lot of times you haven't word with

(13:03):
the guy you're talking with, you don't even know them,
but you're trying to to kind of develop a little
sense of chemistry for it.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
God, they should put us in a three man booth.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
I mean they really should. Yeah, I mean if they
were smart, if the people out there were smart, because
we would crush a game, would crush a game.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Well, I think what's really interesting is what's happened with
Barstool Sports because they don't have the rights for broadcasting
a game, but what they've tapped into is the fact
that people will be willing to watch them and their
reaction to a live game and listen to their conversation

(13:39):
about the live game instead of the actual broadcast.

Speaker 8 (13:43):
So think about this for a second.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Someone's got the game on their TV at home, but
they've got it, they've got the stream for Barstool on
their phone or on an iPad, and they're actually listening
to that even though they're watching the game, right and
they might be watching that a little bit too.

Speaker 8 (13:58):
It's it's kind of interesting to see, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
That's happened where you Then you look at like you know,
Paid an ELI show, and it's something in the middle
of that, right, It's like the game is going on,
but Paid and Eli are having this, you know, a
conversation about the game or about football or with a guest.
And it's kind of like parlaying the two. But the
difference is, you know, ESPN in that case has the
rights to the game, which is expensive. But there's nothing

(14:21):
that I would stop us from starting like a Twitch
or a YouTube channel where like you've got a live
look in on us just watching a game and talking
about it while it's going on.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Yeh, that'd be fun.

Speaker 7 (14:30):
And I would just start, I would live bet during
the game, and we could keep like a graphic on
there like how bad I'm doing, Like how.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Many I lose in a row, Like I'll just I'll just.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
Make bets and just just a total gunslinger and lose
every single one of them. But that can be one
of the graphics that goes on there like this is
and now you think about it when people are actually
paying to watch or taking their time to watch somebody
else watch something. It just reminds you that Beavis and
butthead was really ahead of its time, really ahead of

(14:59):
its time, because all you did was tune in to
watch cartoons, watch music video.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
That's a good butt.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
H yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
I'm gon Holio. I need dB for so believable birdos
really good.

Speaker 7 (15:37):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here. All right's coming up next. We need a
little bit of professionalism to this show. Thank god. Petros Papadakis,
the old pe he is yours. It is a Wednesday

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady, Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas now weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 7 (16:07):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up twenty minutes from now from those
Tirack dot Com studios, we are gonna have the BQ
news that Tuesday Wednesday tradition, so we'll have that for
you again twenty minutes from now here on FSR. But
right now, ladies and gentlemen, this man is Petros Papadakas,
the co host of the Petros and Money Show, which
you can hear on the blowtorch Am five to seven

(16:28):
e LA Sports. He's also a Fox College football analyst.
You can get him on Twitter at the Old p
And he is a happy man. He is a happy
man because Bronnie James, Bronni James is a USC Trojan.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Petros is alma moter.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Do it he He spoke about it and.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
Spoke into existence, the Bronni James arrival for USC. Obviously,
Lebron is already here. Nobody has been supportive of Lebron
James like Petros Papadakas, and now he's got Bronnie James
in the full. Congratulations Petros. Just a monster, monster week
for you and everything going on there at USC.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
I know you're happy about a Petros I'm thrilled.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeah, man, I could not believe this news when it
came out. I absolutely love it. Just to get nailed
by the king and the pros and in colleges, oh
my god, to let the king of real estate have
his way with you. Come on, pets, hey, petros, guys,

(17:34):
can I ask this question?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
And maybe this is a this is a bad question,
but you know, a lot was made of Lebron, who like, hey,
he Ohio State fan. He looked at Ohio State if
you went to somewhere. I think that's what was said.
And when this announcement was made, I was like, all right,
makes sense, Like he's in LA Like why wouldn't you
want to stay close to home and all that. Then
I was like, wait a second, they're moving to Big Ten.

(17:57):
He's going to have to go up and play Ohio State.
Kind of curious how that'll be viewed, although I guess
Lebron did leave Cleveland once he came back and left again.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Wow, I guess the Ohio State part about it or
the Big Ten part about it, I don't know if
that has as much bearing as just USC basketball is
not an entity with a whole bunch of identity, and
it's a great place for Lebron to come in and

(18:27):
get as many tickets as he wants and kind of
control the situation were station. I don't believe. So I
believe that the scream that you heard, like of joy
and ecstasy. When Bronnie James announced USC was Dana Altman

(18:47):
and Oregon uh celebrating, and I think there was a
lot of coaches deep down that had both fingers crossed,
staring at the phone hoping that it didn't ring, and.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
Because they didn't want to deal with the chaos, would
you yeah right. I can't imagine Mick Cronin would handle
that well.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Well. I don't think it's going to be like playing
with Lebron, which is like, if you do well, Lebron
did it, and if you do badly, you're screwing Lebron's legacy.
I don't know. I don't know how that's going to
work out with USC basketball. But USC basketball has always
been an afterthought if that, in town, and they've had

(19:30):
some good years and they've had some good teams, but
deep down, I don't think they're really anything that anybody
wakes up and freaks out about. So it's a good
place for Bronnie James to go, and they'll get the
ESPN attention for however long he's there. If he's there,

(19:50):
I mean, who knows, you know, I mean, these things
change pretty rapidly. But I had heard a lot of
rumblings about it, and I'm certainly not surprised, and I'm
sure it'll be interesting. Lebron James he played a game
in Torrance at Bishop Montgomery High School for the High
School Playoffs when he was with Sierra Canyon, and Lebron

(20:13):
tried to get it moved to Redondo Beach because he
didn't like the Bishop Montgomery gym and Bishop Montgomery told
him to pound sand. So you might think they're going
to Ohio State, Brady, but Lebron might have the game
moved to Vegas.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
I mean he might own a team there at some point.
It sounds like yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
And you know, he invented Taco Tuesday. No one ever
had a taco on Tuesday, and he invented talking at
the barber shop.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:43):
Hey, look, I'll defend him on this.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I remember when that first came out, the Taco Tuesday video,
he was drinking.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
Red wine and I was like, this is just not right.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
And then I've had a few glasses of I think
red wine with some tacos one night, I was like,
that actually tastes pretty good.

Speaker 8 (20:58):
I really can't I really can't say anything.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
It's a great pairing. I'm glad that you learned the lesson.
Thank you. You know, I'm not I'm not very comfortable
talking bad about Lebron like this because I heard a
scintillating Coveno and Rich promo while I was on hold,
and they were like, if you talk bad about Lebron,
you hate it. So, you know, those guys seem pretty
pretty cutting edge, great sports talk.

Speaker 9 (21:22):
Quite cre No, just I'm just saying, you know, you
guys want me to talk bad about him, and basically
I'm defining myself as a hater based on their criteria
that I heard during the break.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
You know, there's always like a new Petros and Money show,
and that's what they said. Coveno and Rich is like,
it's like it's like Petrosen Money, but nationally an appealing
Oh and uh and just hearing that. Hearing that promo
was a bit of a surprise to me.

Speaker 8 (21:55):
That probably didn't go overwell, did it.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Well. There was a guy they said with the Latino
Petros what he was described as that I forget. I
think his name was Pablo. He was running around town
for a little while. He asked, uh, he asked Chip Kelly.
He was illivid that Chip Kelly gave a guy named
Josh Kelly the ball like thirty plus times against USC

(22:19):
to beat USC in the rivalry game.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
I remember that game.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, yeah he was. He went on like a I
think that pretty much ended it, asking, you know, isn't
that too many times considering player safety to give a
guy the Ball's yeah, Cavino and Rich and Pablo that
petrust somebody. I mean, it's like saying the Bubble Championship's

(22:43):
not a championship. Just might as well say you hate
the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
If they win it? Do you change your opinions on
a little bit on the Lakers?

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Well, I mean if they win the championship, yes, I mean,
what is my opinion? I don't know. I'm pro basketball team.
I'm not a basketball analyst. I don't Yeah, I'm not
going to be.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Like, well no really, I just well bump them then
the Lakers let's talk about right.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Well, No, I just I live here and I have
to talk about it. I don't think Laker flags are
coming back anytime soon. They're just not practical because you
can't roll down your windows, you know, COVID restrictions.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
No, I just I just now, yeah, custom made.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
I don't know, I you know, it just seemed like
people were more willing to sacrifice their their windows not
being rolled down. Back in the there was a thing
in Town Brady for years where when the Lakers were
doing well in the Kobe years, people would put the
flags every far and you know, you'd be next to
some you know, Honda Civic and be like, you know,

(23:52):
next to your flap in the flag, and you know,
every once in a while somebody would roll down their
window and then it would fly back. And that's why
it was.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
It was the best business plan because they knew people
would roll down their windows and lose them and they
have to order another one. It was actually brilliant.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
What you're getting more of now is like the defend
Ar media flags, which is just like a real flag
in the back of a truck, like flying like a
like an American flag or something like that. Yeah, playing
system of a down. I've seen some Laker flags like that.

Speaker 8 (24:26):
How about truck nuts? Do you see much of that?

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Not as much anymore, although we did have some hanging
from the back of my truck like outside of remote
once and to tell.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
You what color chrome or do you go to the
different they.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Were red because the truck was red, so inflamed, inflamed.
But as far as my opinion on the Lakers, like
I think I mentioned this to you guys last time.
It's been a tumultuous relationship with the city of Los
Angeles for Lebron, I think, And there's a lot of
people just like they were when when Kobe was doing

(24:59):
his thing, although I think it's a lot more pronounced.
But there's a lot of people that consider themselves Laker
fans and not Lebron fans. But having a guy go
through the playoffs, win series, potentially defeat defending champions in
front of a crowd with Jack Nicholson and all that

(25:19):
sitting there, that's going to change a lot of people's
opinions about Lebron James and his ability to still compete
and all that stuff to win championships, I should say,
to compete.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
Petros Papade is joining us here on Fox Sports Radio
at the old p on Twitter. If you disagree with
anything he has to say, Petros, here's.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
What did I say?

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Wrong?

Speaker 5 (25:41):
No, I'm just saying if you do like, that's where
you can find him, right.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
I Look, Covino and Rich is a great show. You know.
I just didn't. I just didn't wanna. Look, I gotta
leave town today. I'm not even on the radio. Jonas
is going to do the show with Matt Muney Smith,
and he cares.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
About the Nevato I love the basketball.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
He can't. No, no, no, Matt does. He'll make he'll
have a big, longs dissertation about it, and you will.

Speaker 7 (26:07):
You'll be So this is what I want to ask you, though,
because I'm hearing some reports out there that now that
Bronnie James has arrived back, or now he's going to
be arriving at USC, then maybe this could.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
To USC. But one of those Arab emirates princes who
like says they go to USC, but they live in
the Westwood Corridor and they really just show up to
pick up the degree on graduation if that.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
But I just there is some rumblings that maybe this
could signal the return of their former PA guy, their
PA announcer who used to do the basketball games, who
was none other than wouldn't you know it, Petros Papadakis,
Are you going to do the PA announcing for USC
basketball now that Bronnie James is back? Come on, Petro's
has been too long.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
They'd have to do a couple things. What's that They'd
have to fire the DJ that they have DJ mall Ski,
the most annoying person on earth. He no, no, he's
uh he's an African American man.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
But uh we miss on that. Yeah, uh Malski Molski
either way, he does.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
The RAM games warm into a RAM game. Yeah. Uh,
So they'd have to get rid of him because I
don't want to. I don't want to be on with
him anymore. And uh, they have to pay me when
they brought him in. That was like I had one
foot out the door and then uh, and then it
would have to be like at least two thousand dollars

(27:34):
a game, which would be really high for a PA guy.

Speaker 5 (27:39):
So it's unfortunate.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Those are my demands.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Okay, do we get any of that.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Out to Lebron's camp, Get that out to Clutch Sports.
It's about if we negotiate this.

Speaker 8 (27:50):
On your behalf. Do we get any any fee here
for for this or no?

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Uh for the two thousand a game?

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Yeah, yeah, I'll cut you guys two percent.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yes, you know that'll buy donuts for the guys in
the studio.

Speaker 8 (28:04):
Yeah, we'll take care of that.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
Take care does it? Will it?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
What if I go? It will?

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Hey, Petro's one thing I wanted to ask you in
regards to college football dollars weeks ago now, is the
change in the stop clock on a game first down? Yes,
I mean, I don't know, you feel I've been kind
of waiting for this for a long time. I think
what people don't realize though, is how much is going
to speed up the games? Right, Like, that's going to
change how yeah hold a game and how it's produced

(28:33):
as well, big time.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Right, well, I guess you are probably still playing when
when they started the clock after you went out of
bounds before two minutes. You know, they they've started moving
the clock a lot more in recent years. This is
I think this is the most dramatic, right well, this
is the biggest change we've had with the clock.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Do you remember so my senior year, No. Six, they
had it was a one time rule. They actually was
so stupid they got rid of it. They used to
start the clock on like a change of possession when
they blow it in.

Speaker 8 (29:06):
So like I remember, like in six, I.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Think that Yeah, I mean, I'm vaguely, but they've been trying.

Speaker 8 (29:12):
Ways God's dumb.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
To speed up the game, we would sprint off the
sidelines to get lighted up at the start, and you're like,
what are we doing?

Speaker 8 (29:21):
Like why are we rushing out of a TV time
out to snap.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
The football Nebraska football style sprint on in the field
and run the wishbone. But no, I don't uh, I
don't think it's going to be a crazy difference, but
maybe it is. Like I don't think it's going to
be dramatic like baseball, you know. I mean, we still
have all kinds of things that can stop a game

(29:44):
up now, especially reviews and things like that. How different
will people call games? I mean, I think you have
just your identity and you work it within the clock.
It either helps your defense or leaves them out there
dying when you score fifty points a game a la

(30:05):
Lincoln Riley. But it will be interesting to see how
much it changes things and how dramatically, Because you know,
they've been trying to shave time for years and have
and this is just another step. You know, this is
all about fitting into a better window and being able
to sell more TV time, which is why the NFL

(30:27):
is constantly trying to just ram their product into that
three hour window, and college football is trying to get
closer to that because the closer you get to that,
the more you can charge for the commercials and the
more money you can make. And you know, it's funny
because the NFL has one more commercial per quarter than
college football, yet the games go faster.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Figure that one out. Oh, get them on Twitter. At
the old pe is Petros Papadakis. He is the co
host of The Petros and Money Show. He is also
an analyst Don Fox's college football coverage. Petros, we appreciate it.
Enjoy the little vac you're taking.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Oh yeah, with a bunch of fourth graders in Sacramento.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Yeah, enjoy big time fun. Be safe. So there he is.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
From from lawmakers.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
From the kids, say from the kids, you.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Guys want anything done in California, I'm gonna go handle
it to I'm going to be on the house Florida days.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
There is Petros.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
He's already legal. I don't know what to do.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
With Petros versus Avin Newsom the standoff.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I'll bring my gel let me get my tres flores gone.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
There he is Petros Papadegas.

Let's go to the newsdesk. What God, No, here's Brady Quinn.

Speaker 8 (33:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Well, speaking of news, MTV News officially.

Speaker 8 (33:28):
Shut down after a thirty six year run.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
Oh wow, uh for us, I think the guys in
the shop, I'm sure we'll probably recall a.

Speaker 8 (33:36):
High Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
TMZ almost right, kind of sort, I guess like that.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
I mean, I'll say this much. I still recall like
seeing kerk Loader when you broke the news of Kurt
Cobaine's death. Yeah, so, I mean you think about some
of those monumental things that happened back then. MTV News
was was a part of it, but it's coming to
an end, which maybe not surprise to people because most
people not even thought it was still around.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
I don't even what do they happen on TV? Like
just reality shows?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Right?

Speaker 7 (34:08):
I think they played movies and things like that now too,
that's yeah, that's wild, don't I don't think I do
you think there would ever be a place or is
TikTok just replaced all that TikTok and YouTube? Yeah, so
there's no point for music videos anymore. I don't even
know if anybody still makes them anymore. It's odd, it's unfortunate.

Speaker 8 (34:28):
I think they do, but they just live in a
different in a different area.

Speaker 7 (34:32):
I'm looking back at some of the long time Chris Connolly,
he was another one that was an MTV News anchor.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
They had a full roster. Here was it downtown. Julie
Brown a part of that. Uh now I think she
hosted a show she hosted. Yeah, yeah, too.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Bad anyway, sad thing I think for our generation of
folks who kind of recall that and maybe you know,
grew up watching MTV, you know, music videos and all
that stuff.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
Because when they broke in, you knew it was something.

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Bad, well, something big, I'll put it that way.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
Yeah, but Kirk Obrien, O J. Simpson, all that stuff
I remember watching.

Speaker 8 (35:11):
On there, moving on, Moving on.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Selena Gomez and her kidney donor, Francia Reisa are reportedly
not friends anymore because Selena drinks alcohol. Now as some
people would would throw out. Their alcohol typically affects your liver.

Speaker 8 (35:29):
That's why it's called liverloop.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yes, more so than your kidneys, but it does obviously
impact your kidneys.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
If you continue to drink.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
This report is not necessarily substantiated because neither has really
said the reason for their breakup in friendship, but it's
leading to think that maybe that's part of it.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
So let me get this straight.

Speaker 7 (35:50):
She donates an organ to her and then tries to
tell her how she should handle her organ.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Well, I mean, if she's going to give her her organ,
at least you could do is be respectful or mindful
enough to not let people see you drinking.

Speaker 5 (36:03):
Yeah, but if you buy a house off somebody.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
You don't.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Let me say you drink hair.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Hold on, let me propose this a different way to you. Okay,
she gets a new kidney. I mean, aren't you gonna
use that kidney?

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Okay, So let's just you know, let's say LeVar gives
you something that's very near and dear to him.

Speaker 8 (36:22):
Yeah, that you know you might need Jonas. I mean,
are you not going to go out and use that?

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (36:27):
You won't go abuse it. It's a great point.

Speaker 8 (36:29):
And I don't know about abuse it, but I think
you probably mean.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
I mean, if you got what I was giving you,
you definitely would go out. Why not? Yeah, okay, I
could dig that. Yeah, Okay, that's more.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Now it becomes a little bit better context for me
to understand. You know what, check that's upset with Selena Gomez.
Kick here, here's twenty bucks, but you got to spend
it in a certain way. It kiss my ass self,
spend it. I don't want to spend it. Don't give
me the twenty bucks. Then well, I'll tell you a ticket.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
If it goes bad, they probab probably ain't putting her
back on that donor list. You better make sure it
works Selena.

Speaker 8 (37:07):
That could be one of the issues with you. I mean,
it's not like she could take it back.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
Yeah, give it back right, like you're giving an.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Organ up, basically saying like, look, I'm doing this good
deed and I don't know really what's gonna come from it.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Give me my organ back? Yeah, forget you give me
back my org. I changed my mind.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
Yeah, come on, man, get out of here with that.
Oh well, okay, I give you guys an organ.

Speaker 8 (37:32):
I would which one?

Speaker 5 (37:34):
I nothing you've.
