UMGC dot E DU. All right, so just catching everybody
up to speed on what happened to start the show.
(01:12):
All right, there's been a clear line in the sand here,
all right, there's been a defining line marked in the sand.
You've got two people who believe the Cleveland Cavaliers still
have a shot down two oh to the Pistons. And
then you get somebody who closed the coffin on their
season and is saying Detroit's going to walk away with
(01:34):
this thing. That's somebody. That's somebody is LeVar Arrington, who
has decided that he is all Detroit all the time
after the Orlando Magic let him off the hook, as
the great Dennis Green once said. And next thing you know,
Detroit is rolling. They've won every game in the playoffs
(01:56):
since then. They won again last night, and so now
Cleveland's got some work cut out for him, as they've
got to go back home and try and win two
there to force a Game five in Detroit, which should
be played, you know, sometime in August, the way the
NBA scheduling goes. So there's that, and then there's also
the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers who
(02:18):
last night, the Lakers were very competitive and then okay,
see just kind of stepped on the gas late in
that game, and next thing you know, they run away
and win by eighteen. But after the game, the entire
Laker team had a meeting with the officials on the floor.
Oh good, literally, Austin Reeves arguing his case. You just
(02:43):
lost by eighteen. But Austin Reeves arguing his case. Lebron
James there in the background just sort of nodding his head,
and JJ Reddick he spoke about, you know, Lebron and
sort of where he stands when it comes to officiating.
We'll hear that coming up here shortly, But first let's
hear JJ Redick talk about the officiating in general when
(03:04):
it comes to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah, I mean, I sarcastically said the other day they
were the most disruptive team without fouling. I mean, they
have a few guys that foul on every possession and
all the good defenses. Do you know, SGA gets like
a I don't even know a touch fowl. I guess
on the drive there was a stretch for four straight possessions.
Our guys got absolutely clobbered trying to make an entry
(03:26):
pass to Jackson and Jalen Williams is grabbing his jersey.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
With both arms.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
That's a turn, Like, we just they're hard enough to play.
They're hard enough to play. You've got to be able
to just call it if they fail. And they do fail.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Now, if I'm not mistaken, the Lakers have led the
league in free throw differential, like for the last five
years or something along those lines. They get a lot
of calls like there's there's a lot that goes their way.
But I get it, man, I totally get it, and
I actually admire the approach because they realize Luca's not
(04:02):
coming back. That ship has sailed, and we got to
figure out some way to try and win a game
in the series and stay afloat somehow. So let's just
hold an all hands on deck meeting with the officials
postgame and see if we can convince them to get
a couple of more calls next game. I get it,
But what else are you gonna do? They got no shot, said,
(04:24):
you don't have any regrets going to the offseason, so
start bitching about the officiating. I get the approach. It's
worked before in the NBA.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
It has, right, the NBA officials sometimes a reaction area
and they tend to maybe call things a little different.
But I don't know that free throws were really the
difference in this game. I mean, Oklahoma City is just
a better team. And let's be honest with ourselves. What
did Los Angeles attempt like five less free throws in
this game?
Speaker 5 (04:47):
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
It wasn't like there was a huge disparity in regards
to the fouls being called one way or another. So
I mean, and if I'm not mistaken, didn't Austin Reeves
have more free throw attempts than SGA?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
I mean, like, what are.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
We talking about? Whatever it was it was, It wasn't
was the gregious thing that happened. Like, it wasn't a
final play of the game where they made a call
that they didn't call earlier in the game. And you
can go, well, what about that and compare the two
you lost by eighteen, Like it's not as if it's.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
The key point. That's the key point, And you know what,
that doesn't keep chet hunger and from getting the points
that he's getting. That doesn't keep them from going on
twenty twenty point twenty two to five runs with sga
on on the sideline, not even in the game. That's
(05:39):
again if they want to act as though that's destroying
the flow of the game. You know, they're accusing lou
Dort of grabbing cutters, which I do think that that
does impact the game. I will say that I do
think there is some merit to the things that they're
alluding to, and they're you know, accusing of of how
(06:00):
physical this team is playing. I understand that, but let's
be real here, that does not That does not Like
think about Shack. If there's anybody in the history of
the game that could sit there and say, how are
you not how are you not calling these files like
guys should have been filing out of games entire teams.
(06:22):
They should have been playing games shorthanded with like four
guys on the on the court the way they were
filing Shack during their their time in LA and that
dominant run that they had. Either you're going to figure
out how to play through physical defense, because they are
most likely the most physical defense in the NBA. Either
(06:43):
you're going to learn how to play through that, or
you're going to succumb to it. And that's what they're doing,
they're not handling. It seems as though it is hard
enough to beat them because of how talented they are.
But if you don't have an answer for hard defense,
then I think it's a foregone conclusion. Basically, what their
(07:05):
complaints are right now are letting them know that they
can't match the physicality of the team that they're playing,
and that's ultimately going to be the difference in the series.
And we don't have the referees to help us, like,
oh you calling, you're calling tiki talk fouls against us,
but we're not getting getting calls on our way. I
think it's just as it's an easy way out of
(07:28):
saying we can't match the intensity level of this OKAC team,
and so we're going to call out this as an
aspect as to why we are coming up short, and
all you're doing is really just admitting that you're not
good enough to beat this team.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Reddick also spoke about Lebron James as mentioned not getting
the calls and not getting the opportunity to go to
the line like some others would in his situation. Let's
take a listen.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Lebron has the worst whistle of any star player.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
I've ever seen.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
I mean I've been with him two years now. Again,
this all their guys, because they can be theatric they
typically draw more fouls. And the bigger players that are
you know, built like Lebrony, it's hard for them. But
he gets cloppered and he got clovered again to night
a bunch And that's not like a new thing, that's
not specific to this crew or you know, this series.
(08:18):
He gets fouled a lot. That doesn't happen to me.
Guy gets hit on the head more than a eight
player I've seen on drives and it rarely gets called.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah again that's Shack. That would be Shack who had
the worst ship.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
This is Lebron, like one of the most well documented
floppers in the history of the NBA. Yeah yeah, Like
what is JJ Reddick talking about? But like, bro, what
your mouth? Relax? Like, don't don't act as though Lebron
James doesn't get a ton of fouls called in his
(08:50):
favor from fouls that didn't even take place because he flopped.
I just I don't. I don't buy that. And and
and for what word Lebron is still playing. Well, I'm
not gonna make this about you know going at Lebron.
Lebron is playing his ass off to try to will
his team to victories. That's probably the only reason why
(09:12):
these games are even close to begin with, and he
can't do it by himself. Instead of complaining about the fouls,
Austin reeves, be more of a star player for your
team and make more plays for your team so that
you can pick up the slack that that hasn't been
picked up by anybody else. Not Hachi Mora, not not
(09:33):
Geiton or Eton or whatever his name is. None of
these guys are picking up the slack. It's Lebron James.
You know what Lebron will get to say after this.
It ain't about fowls. It's gonna be about we played
the best team in the NBA and I played my
best ball at my age and I had no help.
(09:55):
That should be the storyline. And if I'm JJ Reddick,
I would be oh, just But that's what I would
be calling out to my team now. I don't think
that i'd put them out in the public like that.
I wouldn't be in the media saying that. But I'm
damn sure I'm behind the scenes saying y'all selling Lebron.
Right now, y'all selling it, and y'all selling it at
(10:16):
a cheap price. Stop worrying about no god dang refs,
and get your ass out there and and thug and bug.
If we're gonna go out, let's go out with them
having bruises and scratches and lumps and bumps, like, oh,
you hitting Lebron upside the head? Okay, okay, you want
(10:37):
to hit the goat, well you come down the lane.
Come down the lane this time, like, let's see you
get a lump on your head.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
The problem is the problem is he could have taken
that approach, but he didn't. Instead, he sided with the
players complaining about the calls and then went public about it.
And we've seen this now multiple times in the Playassifi
where yeh, we've seen it multiple times where Jalen Brown
got pop fifty thousand dollars, doubled down on it, you
(11:06):
had it. Why am I blanket on the name for
the calves of the guard? Why am I blanket on
his name? Jesus yeah, Donovan Mitchell, Spider Mitchell. He complained
about the calls, talked about flopping and said I don't
want to get fined. A good buddy of mine just
got you know, And now you've got basically a lot
of people pointing to well, you know the thunderflop JJ
(11:26):
Reddick's talking about because Lebron's on a smaller player, he
can't be he can't throw his body around like that
and he can get a call. And it's another example
of the NBA let this stuff go on for too long,
and now they're trying to put the toothpaste back in
the tube and you can't. That's the style of the
game now. And we've this has happened all the time
(11:48):
with the NBA, where they whether it's load management and
all this stuff, and then they try and correct it
after the fact. When it started, you should have done
away with it. But now you've got all all of
these officials that are conditioned to make a call based
on what they've done for the last number of years.
And then the NBA's response to that is if a
(12:09):
guy like Jalen Brown or Mitchell or anybody, or JJ
Reddick or and somebody else is gonna give what are
we gonna do. We're gonna find those players for criticizing
our officials, like no, man, like how about if you
want to really have a conversation with about flopping, have
a conversation with those officials. And if you're a league
that's so concerned about everything being on the up and
(12:30):
up when it comes to officiating because you had a degenerate,
flunky gambler who was officiating games and fixing games years ago,
then you need to get that right. But all of
this complaining after the fact does nothing because they let
it go on for way too long. I just I
don't know, and I get the approach. I understand what
JJ Reddick is trying to do because he's looking for
(12:52):
any options and trying to exhaust all options anything available
without Luca to try and to try and win this series.
I I still don't know if the calls that you
were looking for are going to make up that near
twenty point difference that you lost by.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Nother or not.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
I mean, okay, see is the better team by far?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
I do wonder behind closed doors, this is just JJ
Reddick publicly putting pressure on the officials to help them
out a bit, to try to get something to turn.
It's a savvy move if that's his play, but you
also have to be sending your team like, hey, boys,
like we know how this is. This isn't a secret.
It's not like you haven't played, okay see, throughout the
year or throughout the years, especially since SGA has come
into the league and you've seen the amount of flopping
(13:34):
or his style just just to highlight him specifically, you
know that when you go into it like they've.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Got to play above all of it.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
They can't be it, can't be moaning about it using
as an excuse. If they want a chance to advance,
if they want a chance to win a championship, you
get to play and leave no doubt. And honestly, like
last night, that was a game where there was no doubt.
Okay see was the better team. Officiating didn't come into
play as much as they'd like to make it seem
that way. And that's unfortunate what the Lakers have to
(14:02):
do moving forward, and it's a tall task. I don't
think they're even as close to as good as a
team without Luca, And that's just the bottom line.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
It's unfortunate. But that's what the series is.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
That and we'll see, maybe they get back home, they
get find a way of squeaking out some wins.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
I don't see it happening.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
By the way, if anything looks a little suspect, an
entire team talking to the officials on the floor after
the game, I think you've actually done more harm than good,
because now if all of a sudden the calls start
to go the other way, people are going to look
at that and go So wait, you can have a
conversation with officials afterwards and convince them to start giving
(14:38):
you calls and you get rewarded the very next game.
It makes you down, and it makes it look suspect.
So now it's almost as if the officials are going
to go the other way because they don't want to
look fishy. Like listen, we've already had our problems. We
don't want another Donahey situation here. We don't want we
don't want to make it look like that. So no,
(14:58):
we can't give you all these calls that you won
when you guys approach us like that. The entire team
was on the floor talking to the officials. I've never
seen that before.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
The funny thing about what you're saying, Jonas, is that
they will still lose.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
That's correct.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
They get those calls to not be fishy. Officials and
all that stuff. It's still gonna be a twenty point
It's going to be a twenty point difference when the
game ends. So you're in a no win situation. If
you win, it's like, oh, y'all can plaint y'all ways
into winning. If you lose, it's like, ah, we knew
(15:38):
you was going to lose anyway, Like you got the
calls you was going to lose anyway. It's a no
win situation that the Lakers have put themselves in based
off of public optics. Yeah, I mean you know, I
just know this. You're going into Game three. You're heading
for a clean suite. They have not lost, Okay, see
I do not believe they have lost yet in the playoffs.
(15:59):
No haven't. No, I would be blanking out on that court.
Y'all want to file and not call it. We're gonna
force y'all to call this game tight, or we're gonna
file out. We're gonna all file out. You want to
go out as a team and approach the refs as
(16:20):
a team because you feel like you've been wronged by
the referee and crew. Then go out and as a
Game three and with everything on the line and nothing
to lose. You're on house money anyway. You're not even
supposed to be in the second round without Luca playing,
and you didn't have Reeves. But I'm looking at it.
I'm ready. I'm looking at these guys, Lebron. You keep
(16:42):
playing you other guys in this locker room, starting with you, Austin.
They have owned you. Okay, see, they have owned you.
They you're you're paying rent to the Okac thunder. You
get out there and you make them feel who Austin
(17:02):
Reeves is. I don't care if you scored ten points
in the game. You better use every bit of what
a foul is in this game, because if we do
not establish the fact that we can be just as
physical as they can be, then we've already lost. So
y'all go out there and do it early. I'm talking
(17:26):
take a flagrant. First of all, I remember, I remember
I had a coach. I won't I leave them nameless.
I had a coach and going into certain game Dallas,
we would play against them, Michigan, Ohio State. We play
against these teams, and I had a certain coach on
each one of these teams. Be like it's okay, Like
(17:48):
it's okay, Like yeah, go ahead and get it. Go
ahead and get that. Go ahead. You can go ahead,
get that personal foul, set a tone, and I'll never forget.
We went into ann arbor and we got our is
kicked anyway, right, like what I'm saying about the Lakers.
But I grabbed back is like backs was blocking me.
I grabbed him by his face mask and I suplexed
(18:10):
him by his face mask, then fore armed him and
his chin. Right. Got a horrible flag for it, But
it was my money's worth. I got my money's worth
out of trying to set a tone. Now, defensively, it
was a struggle like we did. It was a game.
We just didn't have that fight on the offensive side
of the ball, and we got shut out. Anyway. The
(18:33):
point is is that the Lakers don't have a chance
to go out there and at least fight for your respect. Fight.
Don't bitch and moan about it, Go get it, Go
get your respect. That's the case. That's the case I
would be making with my team. Otherwise, y'all just going
(18:53):
out there to sit and squat. Squatty potty guys, y'all
squatty potties. Now, this is the squatty potty series like,
come on, man, shot of bets. Yeah, y's rude.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
You're a big squatty potted guy. Hey, I think I
know what the secret is. By the way, for OKC,
it's great sleep. Yeah, he deserved great sleep, So visit
Mattress firhim. They've got the sleep experts to help match

three hundred dollars instant gift card when you upgrade. They
(19:25):
make sleep easy restrictions to a plassy store for details.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
Hey, By the way, you know Jeff backus. It's actually
a really good story. He survived that assault from LeVar Arrington.
He should have pressed charges, to be honest with you,
but he survived that to go into the NFL. Guy
played twelve years. He played twelve years, never missed a game,
started every game he was available to play one nine one,
(19:50):
twelve years.
Speaker 5 (19:51):
No doubt about that. All in the line. But it's
quite a badge of honor to say that we got
our asses whooped by a team that had a few
few future Hall of Famers may be considered even best
best ever on on some of those teams. So you
gotta think I was in a big ten and I
had Tom Brady and Drew Brees at the same time.
(20:12):
Never lost to Drew Brees, never beat Tom Brady. Hey,
well there you go, and now never beat Michigan. And
now we're all at Fox. See that. Here you go.
Here you go with that one. Baby. You used to
be somebody, Now you're here doing the radio.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
They're there Fox too.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Man, I'm gonna go kill myself after this show. Yeah,
I'll go from playing against Jeff bachi Is to doing radio.

to be released next week. There was an email that
went out to let everybody know, Hey, these games are
going to be coming up. The first game of the season,
which will be the NBC game, will be on Wednesday,
(23:26):
September ninth. Now, obviously it's the Seahawks hosting that game.
Mike Wilbon might have already spilled the beans on on
who the Seahawks would be playing. It may as well.
He may in fact be the Chicago Bears because Mike
Wilbon kind of let the cat out of the bag
(23:46):
if he has information or any intel on what that
you love the way you love your Chicago Bears. Yeah,
I mean I get it. I can understand why they
would throw them, you know, week one, but I don't
understand why. Let me ask you this, all right, and
I don't want to put you in a tough spot, Brady,
(24:07):
But how far in advance do people at these networks
know what the schedule is before it's released to the public.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
It's a little different. I believe with the NFL for
college football, they know months like a pretty good portion
of time beforehand.
Speaker 6 (24:31):
Now sometimes that's not.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
The case because there's a draft, so you know, each
process is different. But NFL college level, there is a
network that has priority over certain picks.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
In college. At the NFL level, there could be kind
of some trades and swaps, so it can change.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
So even though it's I mean, that game is not
going to change, but there's some other games that could
change along the course the way.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
That's why they invented flex scheduling.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
For the NFL.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
But you get a lot of that in college football,
so you have an eye idea for the big games.
But outside of that, there's something that there's a lot
of fluidity to it.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
So that being said, the September tenth game, this is Wednesday,
September tenth, So September tenth, Wednesday is when this game
will be played. The Australia game, which will be the
forty nine ers in the Rams. That game is going
to be on Netflix. Such fine, I'm letting everybody know
what the date is so they.
Speaker 6 (25:27):
Can I know it. It's fine.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
I'm not with Jonas.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
I'm just let everybody know what the date is. It's
September tenth, that's when this is.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
I know, it's fine. I'm not doing it, all right?
What what what? What number is is September? What number?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
September tenth is?
Speaker 5 (25:52):
What number? What number? Month is that?
Speaker 8 (25:55):
Nine?
Speaker 5 (25:56):
As I sit in the nation's capital, it's cool, it's cool.
It's cool. Don't don't worry about it. I'm not. I'm not.
I've already had my my my back and forth for
this show. We got it out away an hour one.
I don't I'm not doing I'm not doing it. I'm
not going to I'm not going all.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Right, So that game is going to be on Netflix though. Now, uh,
here's where it gets.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Good day is going to be there on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
In Australia, to be on Thursday, or it'll be on
Friday in Australia.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
What what what number day is that? What what day
of the day?
Speaker 3 (26:29):
The eleventh day of the month.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Okay, okay, go keep going, keep going? Uh the uh
so this is where it's the ninth the ninth month,
on the eleventh day there. Yeah, American football will be
being played yeah in Australia. Okay, go ahead, keep going.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
And then uh. The other piece of information that came
out this according to Alex Sherman of CNBC, so ESPN
returned for former Monday night football doubleheaders as part of
deal to acquire the NFL network. It was a little
bit of a trade.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
And so the games away to something that was Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
So they're going to divvy those up between YouTube and Netflix.
And so unfortunately this means, you know, probably the end
for good of double barrel action on Monday Night football,
which was which you know, if these games staggered a
little bit, you know, we would have been able to
do that. But those days are over. But my question
(27:26):
is when are these games going to get played. Are
we talking about random days of the week. Are we
talking about the Wednesday before Thanksgiving which is going to
be a new one this year. Like, now that you've
got these games going to other streaming sites and YouTube
and Netflix, obviously they're not going to play them on
Monday night because that's why ESPN gave them up. So
(27:48):
where do they divvy these games out to be played.
Maybe a Tuesday game. Maybe we just kind of roll
and kind of run through the whole week and try
to test this whole thing out Brady's theory from COVID.
I just I wonder where those games end up as
far as planning your week with the NFL to where
now you've got some streaming opportunities to throw these games
(28:08):
in there. That's my big question.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
I hope I know you love saying double blair action,
but like, I hope it doesn't get to that point.
I'd love being able to watch like one game at
a time. I wish they could spread it out more.
I think it'd be better for player safety too, to
give them more rest spreading throughout the course of the week.
Leave Friday and Saturday to college football, high school.
Speaker 6 (28:28):
Football, and then let them take up the other days,
like you.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Could probably figure out a better schedule and more primetime games. However,
you know, again, the networks have to want to do it,
and on top of that, you know hopefully that the
teams don't mind doing it. They just changed up their
schedule a bit. But you would think if they've got
a little more time to repair, a little more time
to rest, they'd be all for it.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Well, good, good, Well, I was going to say, what
day really needs more NFL?
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Right?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
If we got Monday every day?
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Right? All right?
Speaker 8 (29:00):
Day?
Speaker 3 (29:00):
I mean, if yeah, we've got yeah, we got Monday covered, Thursday,
so basically Thursday through Monday we got it covered. I mean,
well at that point, why don't you just take Tuesday
and Wednesday two? You know what I mean? It's like
somebody who misses the first four days of the week
and then decides to show up on Friday. It's like, dude,
we'll see you next week.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Like you already missed all this time?
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Come on, I gotta tell you. Much like Claude, I
discovered YouTube TV like YouTube and I love watching NFL
and NBA and college football. I love watching it on YouTube.
Little Game Mix action. I love it, bro, I love
(29:43):
it like all in like it's it on YouTube. Like
I go, I go straight to YouTube before I go
to I don't. I don't even really. I don't even
think I have cable anymore. I just have a provider,
you know what I mean? Like I have an Internet provider,
and I just live off of watching everything on platforms.
(30:06):
It's crazy, but I really enjoy watching the games on
on YouTube. I don't know, so there's that. I don't
know how much that plays a part in this conversation.
But if they're you know, because I do believe even
if it's like a network game and net. Am I
wrong for saying this? Network games do air on YouTube?
Speaker 3 (30:26):
YouTube TV?
Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah? Yeah, I don't even use like I mean where
things are at now. I feel like YouTube just take over.
Like for some strange reason, I don't feel the same
way when I'm watching it on other platforms. I don't
feel that way when I'm watching it on Prime. I
think it's lost something that's just me. I don't feel
(30:48):
that way when I watch live events on Netflix. I
just that's just me. Though.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
I think I think Netflix does a good job with
the live events. I mean, they had to get over
Mike Tyson's ass, but eventually they figured it out.
Speaker 5 (31:02):
It's doesn't feel the same to me. It doesn't have
the same feel to me, production wise or presentation wise.
I don't know, and I don't know why I feel
that way. I just know when I watch it, I
don't feel as compelled to watch it on Netflix or
on Amazon Prime. Weird, I don't know. I don't know.
But YouTube, I'll be all in. I don't know. Maybe
(31:26):
it's just me.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
So you're a tube guy.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Maybe it's just me. I'm a tube guy. H I
get it. Man. More football on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Yeah, well it's gonna be there. And Netflix, yeah, quadruple
barrel action on there. Uh yeah, the Yeah. The Amazon
Prime coverage is I think for football it's it's been
it's gotten better and better. I actually think all the
streaming sites have improved year over year. Like there was
early issues with some of them, and still occasionally you'll
(31:59):
you'll see some stuff pop up that we've talked about.
The delay when it comes to the NBA with Amazon Prime.
I'm assuming next year they roll that back and they'll
get that sorted out. But I would say the streaming
sites are getting better and better each year, and to
be able to see Netflix get involved as much as
they have. I think they've gotten much better over the
(32:22):
first year they rolled it out with all their big
events that they're putting on. So it does seem like
there's been some advancements that things have improved. But there's
just so many different places you've got to go to
find these games, Like you literally have to check who's
got what. If you're like the NBA Playoffs, I find
myself going, all right, so is this the game that's
on NBC, Which one's on ESPN, which ones on Peacock? Oh,
(32:45):
these two are on Amazon Prime. I think the games
tonight are on Amazon Prime. There's just a lot going
on there. And I think what we need is just
give us an NBA remote and an NFL remote and
all these other remotes so we'll get just press the
button right there and we know exactly what we're doing.
I just make this, make this a little bit easier
(33:05):
on everybody, because there are way too many remotes in
every single house. Now, there's a lot.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Give me some pork ribes some fried chicken, fried chicken, yeah,
give me some chili on some rice, you know, and
give me YouTube. Yeah, and I'm good to.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Go and a couple of cocktails.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
Yeah yeah, maybe grapefruit juice and tequila. A double, well
I'm at home, maybe a triple.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
What's that called a paloma?
Speaker 5 (33:41):
I guess so, I mean, I guess you could go
with paloma.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
I don't put I don't. I'm not a rammer, you
know what I mean. So I don't. There's there's no salt,
no sugar, no tahen or anything my on my rim.
I just like to go in straight, you know. So
I don't know if that makes it a palomo or whatever.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
Well, whatever it is, enjoy it while you're watching the
NFL this upcoming season and again next week the schedule release.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
The uh whis the end of the coverage of Rassini
And they could who knows they could, But I will
say this, it's sober.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
As much as the NFL likes to get on reporters
for not leaking the draft picks, they should really tighten
up the schedule leak because we know team by team
every schedule in advance to when they actually officially launch it.
Like they can, they can do whatever they want when
(34:42):
it comes to the draft to try and keep everybody's
you know, mouths closed as far as you know, tipping
picks or releasing picks early and all that, because dude,
all these insiders have gotten a hold of this stuff
and just let it fly. Wilbon already if it ends
up being bear Seahawks. Wilbon, you know, said that at
the s P and I think two weeks ago, like,
so this is they need to tighten that up if
(35:04):
they want to make sure that everybody's keeping a secret,
make sure they're keeping a secret about the schedule release.

and greet along with Justin Cooper, So screw the both
of them. That means stepping in for lay Ray to
(36:50):
do the leftovers today is the one and only Patty Speaks. Mark,
you want in on the leftovers, right boy?
Speaker 8 (37:00):
Well, jonas you you mentioned Lorna and Coop going to Boston. Well,
this first one I have is Boston Ish related if
you kind of you know, put two and two together.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
But let's start with this here.
Speaker 8 (37:12):
So Sportico has identified two potential bidders so far for
the Seattle Seahawks, and no it is not Mark Zuckerberg
or Tim Cook. Those are actually refuted from last week.
So out go to in goo two. More So that said,
it is two groups. This first one is a group
including Boston Celtics Limited partner Aditya Mattal and former Celtics
(37:35):
owner Wycliffe Grusbeck.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
That is the first group, and then a second group
Grossbeck Wick.
Speaker 8 (37:42):
Grosbec his full his full first thing was like Mike, yeah, yeah, okay,
I didn't know how to pronounce it, and I saw
his full na with it, So there we go. And
then the other group is led by a guy named
vanadkos Uh who vinod Coast Law go zoom twight, as
(38:04):
Rob Parker would say. So he recently also became a
limited partner with the forty nine ers, So interesting to
see how that would go. So there are two potential
bidders so far, guys for the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Well, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Jimmy Haslm was
a limited partner with the Steelers and then decided to
buy the majority stick of the Browns. So I mean
it's it's happened before. I believe that was the path
that mister Haslm took to get there.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
So, by the way, I forget that. Jimmy Haslm is
also part owner of the Milwaukee Milwaukee Bucks as well too.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Yeah, he owns the MLS team too, the clubs crew.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
We've got a nice little sports portfolio.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
Man doing well. Man, You know, if you could figure
out Giannis and Deshaun Watson, you know everything to be fine.
There got a problem whatsoever? What else you got, Patty?
Speaker 8 (38:53):
So we're gonna go with some of them famous, and
by famous I mean famous Jamis So Jamis Winston has
been announced that he will be serving as a correspondent
on Fox's coverage of the upcoming FIFA World Cup this year.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
That's what I'm talking.
Speaker 6 (39:07):
About, Jamis. It's a it's a cool opportunity.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
I feel like this is what we do sometimes with people,
where we put it in positions where it's like, I
don't know, maybe they want to do it, you know,
maybe they think it'll be entertaining, but I find it interesting.
I always find it interesting. We do sort of things well,
Like I always feel like it's more fun when you've
got like a comedian. Now maybe they viewed Jamis as
(39:33):
a comedian. I don't know, but I would think you'd
be able to find someone who could add some like
entertainment to it. Or who's the guy who walks in
the pits during I think it's it's during F one.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
Do you guys want to talking about?
Speaker 6 (39:47):
Yeah, But he's like super dismissive of.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Like everyone awesome.
Speaker 9 (39:54):
He interviews people, but then like he gets people wrong
as far as he thinks they are.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Sometimes that just doesn't care.
Speaker 9 (40:00):
Oh he's a care I didn't give a rip. Literally
walk up and away for people to heartbeat. They need
to get that guy. That guy would be fun to
like watch him walk around more.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Yeah, I mean, you know, Jamis is making the rounds.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
Man.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
He's he that's a guy who's already got himself set up.
Career done, He's already already got everything set up post career.
It'll be good to go. He'll be out, you know,
whenever he's out. He's made enough money, played good football, entertaining.
Speaker 5 (40:24):
Now he's gonna too.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
Yeah. Maybe
