Missed.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Lost boy, Yeah,
I did, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you.
Those were the words full you be gettin like like
we're all the same like that. No, pretty rude? All right,
So you can find us on the iHeartRadio app. You

(01:10):
can find us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country.
If you are listening on the podcast, we appreciate you
doing so live. We're going to take you all the
way up on this Monday morning until the end of
this hour nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific, so
obviously a lot of NFL conversation. We had the Hall
of Fame game that took place on Thursday. By the way,
he thoughts some prayers to Haines King on that game

(01:34):
winning touchdown. Apparently he pulled his hammy, so they've they've
had to, you know, sit him down there in Carolina,
so that's unfortunate. And then you had the Hall of
Fame inductions over the weekend, which we talked about open
mic work for Adam Minitario's he took shots at everybody.
And then also over the weekend, apparently we had a

(01:56):
little bit of a dust up at Raiders training camp
between Kirk Cousins and Max Crosby in which Kirk Cousins
ended up getting in Max Crosby's face because he thought, uh,
Max had hit him a couple of times during team
drills when you were not supposed to be hitting him.
During team drills, they had to be separated.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
And then it.

Speaker 6 (02:19):
Was team period I believe, yeah, which team drills is
a little different than team period. Team period. They were
literally they were probably going live.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Well, we could have just cleaned it up in the postpone.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
I'm sorry, I was just making sure we were clear.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
All right, two one in team period.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Can you work with that, Patty, we can. I will
slide that in.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I got you appreciate it, spank.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
But but here's the uh, here's the issue. Clint Kubiak,
the head coach, decided to sit both players and didn't
let them practice the following day because they have rules.
You're not allowed to be partaking in any of that.

(03:05):
And so because of that, those guys are punished. Here's
my problem with it. White Kirk Cousins get punished. What
did he do wrong? Max Crosby. Max Crosby hit him
a couple of times when you're not supposed to.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
He brought the drama to him though, what do you mean?
Grabbed him by his jersey.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Max Crosby's had an issue with this.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
He's mixed it up with him.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
He hit the guy's arm twice, like I said, and
correct me if I'm wrong q because I am not
a QB. But one thing like, there's there's certain reasons
to fight in camp and and and practice is for
one that's like, let me start there. I always started fights.
I was the fight starter. I always started fights when

(03:48):
I felt like the tone was not at a good
level for the practice, Like if it was monotony, if
it was like you could tell that guys were getting
taken over by like how tedious it was, or you're
just tired, or it's hot. I started a fight, because
the moment you start to fight, the whole intensity level changes.

(04:09):
So here's what I say. When when Max Crosby hit
his arm the first time, that should have been beef.
What is offensive line?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
But if you.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
Missed it and you gave some like kind of like, okay,
it's Max, he's going hard, bumped his arm like don't
do that again, like you know, don't do it again,
and he does it again.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I'm more concerned.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
That Kirk Cousins ran up on him or whatever and
grabbed him by his jersey. Why did we not see
reports of there being a melee of offensive linemen jumping
on Max Crosby and a whole bunch of defensive linemen
jumping on them, and they was jumping on each other.
Because to me, that's what's supposed to happen. Your offensive

(04:57):
line is supposed to run up on anybody who does
anything to that capacity to the quarterback. I guess I
feel like that's always been an unwritten rule.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
That's a rule. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong with you.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
I'm not a I'm not a QB, but I feel
like I am an expert in in practice fights. Like
you'll know you've heard the story that that the inaccurate
story that Ross Tucker is told and stuff like that.
But I was I was one to start fight us.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Can we recant that story at least?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
So because we usually only hear his side of you
don't really tell that story.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
It's because it's not worth.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
It's only it's only it's only worth it to him.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
So we saw Ross Tucker. Brady and I saw him.
We were leaving Radio Row I think it was New Orleans. Yeah,
well yeah, yeah yeah, And we were walking out and
you were you stayed back as you were doing a
hit on a local station. And so Brady and I
are walking out and we see Ross and we're saying he.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Goes hey, he goes uh.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
He's like, oh yeah, you don't be the story with
you and LeVar he goes, oh, yeah, I had Levron
on the other day.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
He's so full of SS. He's so full of ass.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
I'm like, man, I guess that must be from all
the hits you took. I said, Ross, Okay, you went
to an ivy League school? Did you go ivy League school?

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Like?

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Bro? Like, stop acting like Princeton, Like, stop acting like
you so much smarter than everybody? Bro Like, So what
happened with them? I mean, I got a pretty good IQ.
I feel confident where I'm at.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Uh. You know.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
The the interesting thing about that story is again I
remember it.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I remember it, and me and Ross had.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Actually two little little dust ups in practice.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
But it wasn't like the way he made.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
It sound like, like I I don't even feel like
going through the whole story, like is this just like
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I don't want to give it any likes.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
I'm just telling you I am a fight expert analyst though, okay, football.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
I think that there was another story which doesn't get
talked about as much, where he said that because he
had grabbed your throat or something like that, and that
that never happened, okay, And then he said that you
went into the locker room afterward and said, so you're
a throat grab guy. Huh yeah, And because that sounds
like me, right, Hey, hey, throat grab guy.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
So it's Rockstucker just making up stories.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
I mean, it sounds good, but it is definitely clout.
Jeremiah Trotter did the same exact thing. Jeremiah Trotter sucker
punched me. Sucker punched me, and he was telling the
story on the radio. I mean, people love embellishing stories
about me because I'm that guy. Like I'm kind of
like that guy, honestly, like and in the life that

(07:37):
I've lived and the places that I've been in the
world that I've existed, and I'm like that guy. So
I think people really get off on over embellishing stories
that consist of me being a part.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Of it for some strange reasons, Your honor, I don't
want to tell you how to do your job here,
but you like that.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
That is not a fun first off, I'll pay you.
You enticed him into it. I wanted to hear it.
He didn't even go if it was fine, would be
findable for the reason that he didn't even.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
Do what we asked him. How about that? Yeah, all right,
I'm not going to.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Read you're going to Jonas, You're going about the wrong way.
We didn't even get a chance for him to tell
the story.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Tell it. I know it's we were in practice.

Speaker 7 (08:15):
It was as talk about Colin's corux.

Speaker 6 (08:18):
Yeah, talking about talk to me about why his his
toes were curling in the car too.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Let's they missed that defense chronic cramping.

Speaker 7 (08:30):
Here's the toes.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Had Jonas played the conspiracy theory music and had you
set it up like that, it would have been different
because I want to hear the conspiracy theory. But instead
he tiptoed around it like he was crawling into like
his high school girlfriend's bedroomn He.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
Definitely like, oh, we don't want to say what I
really would have said. I'm just gonna keep doing this.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
I just say it, bro, that's what you thought.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Come on, man, I don't know that he that he
was fooling around you con I cheated that. No, My
point was no, I've been saying. My point was not
backing at anything. My point was in saying, if you've

(09:14):
ever lied or you didn't say.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
You didn't say, that was my point. But you didn't
say I've lied. You said I've cheated. That's intentional lie.
It's it's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
It's not the same thing. This is my point for
the new audience.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Kyle Shanahan's story is a bunch of crap, all right.
Everything surrounding the story doesn't make any sense. And I
know that as somebody who's cheated and probably.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Been Okay, what did you make okay? And that's exactly
you said. No, that is not.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
It is when you've done something wrong and you're trying
to explain it away.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
Why would you know how why would you use that
as the lead example because that's what you think it is.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
No, I don't know if he was cheating, and I
have no idea that's what you think it was.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Then why did you use that as you do not
think that's what it was? Okay, I don't. Well, that
could be the same thing. They just might not look
that connection.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
He could have told you could have been on the
barf water that happy hour and then he decided, oh,
I'll turn it over to the driverless car. But then
you know, the texting stuff, just not if it makes
any sense.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
The point is, you.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
Know how hard it is to wreck a tesla? You
know how hard it is.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Are we not going to acknowledge the fact that Jonas
is now introduced.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
To barf water?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yes he did, he did, Like this is a new
one added to the rollodecks bro different phrases.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
He's he's used it multiple times.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Didn't want a gag so from it.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Clearly he wants us to all recognize the fact that
he used barf water as the substitute for alcohol.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Thank you for listen. I was just trying to I
love it personally.

Speaker 7 (10:54):
I love hearing you figure out different ways of coming
up with.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
It's good. It was a good one. Do what I
can here.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
My problem is Kirk Cousins shouldn't have been punished, right,
he should not have been sad out of practice. That's
a Max Crosby problem. And and boy, he's in.

Speaker 7 (11:11):
Kirk fight back. It wasn't that the whole thing.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Yeah, he's supposed to do the guy him.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
Okay, and I and I can see that point.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
He's he's got to defend himself because he's in a
tough spot from the standpoint of like, you can't look
like a Let's put it that way.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
I almost said, you had a bit work, but you
can't like a bitch. Yeah. If I could say that,
you could, Yeah, you could get away with that one.

Speaker 7 (11:34):
He would act like a bitch.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
A quarterback out there there's already people questioning your toughness
because you're not a guy who's hitting every day.

Speaker 7 (11:43):
So you've got you've got to fight back.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
And in this particular incident, he's a guy who's got
a number one overall picks in behind him, and so
he needs to not only prove that he should be
this guy starting to begin the season as their leader,
but he also needs to show the young guy like
how you need to handle the situation. So there's a
lot of dynamics to it and his response, Look, I
don't know that.

Speaker 7 (12:06):
I don't know what was talked about behind closed doors.
As a team.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
There are some coaches who they don't mind fights. They'll
they'll say they don't fight whatever else because they don't
want guys like breaking their hand or something, punching helmets
because guys are stupid and they punch helmets.

Speaker 7 (12:21):
I've seen.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I remember there was a there was a training camp
fight where we actually broke down the dynamics of the
training camp fight. I'm not gonna say what coach are where,
but I remember the coach pausing because one of our
players took his helmet off and he.

Speaker 8 (12:39):
Literally said, he is and look at this look at
this guy. He pulls his helmet off to wave it
around as a weapon and he goes, listen here, dummy.
He's like, that's the only thing protecting you from getting
knocked out.

Speaker 9 (12:56):
And he's like, are you're gonna take it off and
use it as a weapon. He'sa like, we should cut
you for me. That's stupid right now. He was literally
breaking through like each person as they entered into the brawl,
and it was awesome. I was like highly entertained and
was thinking to myself, this is actually like good life
advice a little bit too, because it's like, I'm sure

(13:18):
this won't be the last fight some of these guys
get in, and he is kind of like making them
aware of the fact that, like, you probably shouldn't give
up one of your best forms of protection for the
sake of creating it into a weapon.

Speaker 7 (13:31):
Which was interesting.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
But anyway, like sometimes coaches will say behind closed doors
they don't want fights, but really, you know they're the
coach you see that fight, you see the hey man,
it's like like LeVar said, just how you took practice
and how you saw There are coaches who feel that
way too.

Speaker 7 (13:48):
They don't mind it. Oh yeah, they don't mind pushing
the edges of seeing guys.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
I had a coaches look at me like, and I
look right back at him and be like, there you go.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Very next, I mean far.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
There is something to that that it fires everyone else up.
I mean, I remember hell, when we when we played
at Michigan State back in two thousand and.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
I think it was six Is that what it was like?

Speaker 1 (14:14):
There was a fight that broke out on our sideline,
and our players thought coach Weiss got hit in the face.
It was a whole ordeal after the game with John L.
Smith and his press conference how he reacted. But like
our entire I mean, at that point in time in
the season, we had lost to Michigan either the week before,
maybe a couple weeks before I can't quite recall, but

(14:35):
like you know, back then, you lose a game, you
feel like your season's over. And so it was kind
of teetering on some things of like how our team
was going to respond and what the season was going
to be and the game. You know, Dan didn't get
off to a good star as terrible weather all the stuff.
But as soon as that fight broke out on the sideline,
Oh man, I get chills now thinking about because then

(14:56):
it was like, all right, we're in a we're in
a way environment.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
It's us against everyone else here.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Yeah, you know, And.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
And and guys started to kind of galvanize through that
experience to fight back together.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Come on, So.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Whatever happen before that didn't matter. They took a swing
at our guy. They saw we're gonna take a swing
back fighting to get even. Let's getting to knock your ass.
I'll knock you out now, try to knocking me down.
That's where Kirk Cousins comes in. Yeah, call him two
chains Cousins, call him won, turn him up.

Speaker 7 (15:26):
He's got to stand his ground.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
Ten tos, ten of them, y'all.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
And I don't care if Max Crosby is bigger.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
I don't care. I don't care if he's faster than
I don't care.

Speaker 7 (15:37):
It's Kirk Cousins, It's Captain Kirk.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
He's gonna put on that cape like he's gonna go
and fight Max Crosby's ass.

Speaker 7 (15:44):
He's gonna show the offense. Hey, oh line, if you
don't have my back, that's fine. I'll go out there.
I'll go out there like David and Goliath. I'll take
on the giant.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Oh take aim.

Speaker 7 (15:53):
I don't need much but a little sling shot in
the rock. I'll take his ass.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Now, let's go. Let's go.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
At the end of the day, sometimes coaches actually don't
want you to fight. So he's one of those new
age younger coaches just like guys, we don't want you
to fight, all right, someone can get hurt, so then
there's that.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
Aspect of him.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
So, by the way, what do you think that back
and forth exchange was like between Max Crosby and Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
You, Hey, I just want you to stay off of
my arm. Buddy, Hey screw, I just want you to
stay off of my arm. Okay, I'm just trying to practice.
You do know it was twice Max, what happened to

(16:47):
us going out? They when you were recruiting me saying
we needed a quarterback.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
And now you're trying to hurt me. And why do
you talk like that?

Speaker 4 (16:57):
You don't have to use that's profane language.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
One a dressing me, Max, I know you're like one
of those rappers.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Look in the mirror, buddy, supposed to be on the
same team here, Hey wish what would have been better?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Though? If Kurt ran up on him and hit him
with the what's up? What's up?

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Was?

Speaker 4 (17:25):
What? What bigt hey? Why are you hitting the ball
like that? What was that?

Speaker 8 (17:32):
Was that?

Speaker 5 (17:33):
So so yo?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Mag mag was was, uh, what up?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Why are you swinging on me? Blood? What set you claim?
Fo a Max? What set you claim?

Speaker 5 (17:55):
What if we pulled a patty and walked up and
with a yo.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Hey yo spanky Cousins.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
So I didn't think about that aspect of it either.
Why is Kirk Cousins won handling his business? Why wasn't
there That's just.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
That's strange, man, I'm telling you, that's strange that there
wasn't a report of a melee because the offensive lineman,
I know, like they going they firing off.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
I think it was Marcellus Wiley who brought this up
back in the day. Remember it was the year after
the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Carson Wentz came back
and I think he he got hurt again the very
next year. And they also went to Nick Foles later
on in the season and Marcellus Wiley said, you can

(18:46):
tell a lot about what's going on there because there
was a point where Carson Wentz got knocked down and
no o' lineman came over to help him up, And
so what does that say?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
You know, there there's times when offensive line and men
get frustrated with quarterbacks taking sacks, so it's not really
on them.

Speaker 7 (19:04):
You know.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
So there's there's that element of it where if they
feel like they're doing their job, you're not doing yours.
There's a lot of frustration that that sometimes takes place
out there. But there's also what you're alluding to, and
that's that you've lost your team, you've lost the locker room,
you've lost those guys. That's because you've alienated them and
that and that seems to happen. I mean, shoot, I
I came across the conversation I had recently in college,

(19:26):
and I was like, oh, that's concerning, you know, like
like asking a young man about his relationship with some
of their teammates and there wasn't much there.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
And and look, maybe.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
That's more common with these these young younger athletes nowadays
because they are kind of able to make money and
be isolated and they don't have to share in what
was the I don't want to say misery, but like
difficulty of being a college student like back when we
went I mean, there are times where like, dude, at me,

(20:00):
You're you're playing major division in college football, but you
don't have any money. You know, you're scrounge together change
sometimes to go grab something, or you know.

Speaker 7 (20:07):
You're you're all in it together.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
You're in a dorm or whatever you're saying to some
crappy apartment, like what like that was how it used
to be And those are like galvanizing times with your
teammates where you're kind of working through that aspect of
life and it probably is is better to build more
of a realistic idea of what life is like for
a lot of other college students. And that's the that's

(20:29):
the hard part now is we've gotten so far with
these student athletes in college from the normal student and
what they're doing, I mean, are two worlds away. Like
one's going to school to become, you know something or
figure out the profession they want to get into. These
other guys now are professionals and they're being paid handsomely,

(20:50):
and so there's never been a greater dichotomy between the
students student athlete now and so in saying that, like
there's elements of how some of these guys are were
Maybe they're just not as close with their linemen anymore.
Maybe they're not taking them out for beers or whatever
or all you can eat a tian fit on Thursdays. Like,
I don't know, Like I'm not sure what the dynamic

(21:10):
is on some of these teams now because a lot
of these guys, like maybe they hang together as a
group of wide receivers or dbs or linemen, but like
usually your quarterback or usually there was like a linebacker
or someone that was like, oh, let's all get together.

Speaker 7 (21:23):
Does that happen anymore?

Speaker 4 (21:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Yeah, I mean, wouldn't you take your lineman out for
a couple of man cans after practice, you know, get
together talk? You know, as a quarterback, wouldn't that be
something like you'd always told me, you go out and
get on.

Speaker 7 (21:38):
The link when everyone was of age to drink wink wink.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
But we used to have like keg races or case races,
and like I used to be the official, so you know,
there's there was stuff like that that you do that
were awesome, you know, and you're pitting guys against each other,
it's like you knew it was a hard week of
working out or whatever, usually in the spring offseason, like
you're like, all right, let's get after it.

to move around, Like you probably are coming with a
similar amount.

Speaker 5 (22:15):

Speaker 5 (25:04):
I don't know if Mark's got any leftovers, to be
honest with you, Oh Mark, any leftovers?

Speaker 4 (25:11):

and subscribe. All right, do you guys want to hear
Aaron Rodgers this time? Not talk about Fauci or Rabel,

(25:40):
Rassini and ESPN and all that, but just talk about
his decision to retire after this year and not previously.
Do you guys like to hear a little bit of
this because he does appreciate his time with the New
York Jets as part of this journey that he's been on.
I got to ask you, I don't know how you
can walk away from the Do you love this?

Speaker 4 (26:02):
I do love it?

Speaker 11 (26:03):
Yeah. I'm also forty two. I've played twenty two years.
I've played three in college. I've never had a fall
to myself. I want to start a family with my wife.
You know. I think you just have to know when
it's time. And you know, there's been times in the
last three off seasons where I felt like maybe it
is time, but doors open, and I just tried to

(26:25):
listen to the signs. I might have been listening to
the wrong signs by going to New York, but It
was a good learning experience, you know, and I learned
a lot during that process, and I am thankful for
that time there. And I'm thankful for last year with
coach Tomlin because he helped me get that love back,
that deep love back for the game that, you know,

(26:45):
tearing my achilles and going through a year rehab and
just never feeling like myself, it just kind of beats
you up a little bit. And I didn't want that
to be my ending in the game that I love
so much. And Mike, Mike and being around the guy
has got me that love back. And I was I
was contented walking away, and then they hired Mike McCarthy
and I was like, Okay, maybe maybe we need a.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Full circle here.

Speaker 11 (27:09):
Me and Mike need a full circle here.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
That sounds like a guy who's a total piece.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
I'm good whatever happens this year, I'm out see you guys,
full clarity, not gonna be uh, We're not going.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
To try and to do this thing all over again.
He's good.

Speaker 7 (27:24):
It all is that how you heard it, LeVar.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
I think he loves to play the game, but there's
other things he would like to do in his life.
And I think that he's struggling with the idea of
continuing to put those things off for the sake of
playing ball. And we've seen this go to the opposite direction, right,
We've seen this with Tom Brady, and it was like

(27:52):
kind of like, I'm gonna keep playing. I have no
intentions of retiring. I'm gonna just I'm gonna keep riding
this thing out, you know. So I get I see
where he's coming from. I mean, I agree, I kind
of when I when I got married, it kind of

(28:13):
it made me a person like I was like Superman
that went into like the little ice dip and then
he came out and he didn't have any superpowers left.
That's like kind of like what marriage was for me.

Speaker 7 (28:22):
Really.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
Yeah, man, he took it all. It took she took
it all. I was not a superhero anymore. And and
I even got hurt. I even got hurt like that
that that following season, like the season I got married,
I got hurt like early. But I guess the point
is is that my focus was really on building a life,

(28:46):
like trying to build a life with her. So I
get what he's saying. I one hundred and and and
for what it's worth to some people. Playing the game
is awesome to do and you can love to compete,
but it like, I feel like sometimes we get carried
away on building building it up so big that it's like,

(29:08):
oh my gosh, how could how can? How can you
leave the game? Like what do you mean? You know
what I mean, Like it's time to go, Like it's
this is my time. I just I don't know. I
feel like sometimes people get carried away on on how
they value being a professional ballplayer.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Just my take.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
I think that the tough thing in listening to him
say talk about that, and he really talked about his
experience back in twenty twenty three with the New York
Jets and the injury went through, and maybe just those
two years being in New.

Speaker 7 (29:37):
York and how it was handled. If that's how he
felt in it.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
From a negative standpoint, you'd have to think that, Hey,
like the positive impact of Mike Tomlin, you know, Mike
McCarthy now being the head coach of the Steelers, all
those things could also maybe make him feel after this season,
depending on what happens, that maybe I do want to
run it back again, you know, so I do feel
like there's without a doubt you know what you touched

(30:03):
on LeVar, There's there's personal things that you know, I
think as he's gotten older and we've gotten to know
Aaron Rodgers outside of football more, you know, there's a
lot of interest outside of football, and clearly you know
he wants to start that clock on other things that
he's been meaning to start in his life, whether it's
starting a family as he mentioned, or something else.

Speaker 7 (30:22):
Maybe it's a business venture. I don't know. For quarterbacks
what's tough is it's not. I mean, it's definitely still physical.
It's still that's still a.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Portion of it, but it's not like it is for
you var or like other players like linemen, et cetera.
You know, when you look at Tom Brady at the end,
there are some physical ailments too, but it was more
of you know, I mean, again, he played three more
years played when he's forty five, Like you get to
a point where maybe he's just like, I don't want
to do this anymore because he still could play at

(30:51):
a really high level. Aaron obviously still is playing at
a high level. It just comes down to what he
really wants for his life and what he's still trying
to prove or maybe still trying to build onto his legacy.
But I do wonder if this season goes really well,
if he wouldn't be motivated or enticed by coming back,
you know, if it wouldn't be like a John Elway

(31:12):
scenario where let's say they win it all and they
feel good about running it back again, you know. I
don't know, or maybe it'd be easier for him to
sail off in the sunset, if that's the case, or
let's say they're close. Let's say they're right there on
the edge, whether it's a playoff game, they lose tight,
maybe in the AFC Championship game or something. You know,
maybe that's enough to get him to come back. I

(31:32):
just I feel like it's it's easy at this time
of year for guys to say, hey, I'm done, or
guys to say, like this will be.

Speaker 7 (31:42):
It because this is the hardest part.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Like all you've been doing is practicing, and it's like
the it's the worst time of the year for you.

Speaker 7 (31:52):
Once you get into the games, that's where it gets
fun and that's where, depending on how things go.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
I just wonder if his perspective will change, or even
his emotions tied to the game may change, but it's
it'll be sad when he leaves because you're talking about
a guy that's it's one of Super Bowls, what one
for MVPs. I mean, he's one of the greatest passes
of the football ever and so that era will be
no longer so and there's always people to replace him,
but it won't.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
Be the same when he talked about you know, he
played three years in college, he played twenty two in
the NFL. You know, I haven't had a fall to myself,
so twenty five years of his life, it's just been
this that's got to be And I'm sure you guys
went through it too, to where you finally did have
you know, an August where you didn't have to get

(32:37):
ready for a training camp or a fall where it's like, oh,
you mean, like I can experience this part of it.
It's almost like seeing how the other side lives. And
like the way he laid that out, it's when you
take a step back and look at it, that's a
quarter century of only knowing one way of life and
now he's gonna, you know, embark on something else like that.

(32:57):
Especially for you guys, that had to be kind of
weird to think, Oh, I don't have a training camp
to get ready for.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
I don't have a game to prepare. I slept for
three years. I slept for three years like a cave man.
Like I literally slept for three years. Like when I
when I said I was done, and I didn't retire
or anything.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
I just was done.

Speaker 6 (33:21):
And the moment it sunk in that I was done,
I found I discovered sleep again. Like I hadn't slept.
I didn't realize how much I did not sleep for
how long? Like I'm talking ninth grade, like end of

(33:43):
eighth grade year, I have not slept. I hadn't slept
well since going into my freshman year of high school.
No sleep, full go, no no breaks, all gas, just go, go, go, go,
go go. You get an off season, you get an

(34:05):
off season, but you can't sleep too long because you
don't want to ever build the habit of sleeping too
long while you're in the game. Something nothing good happens
when you sleep too long.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
All right?

Speaker 5 (34:18):
So what did what did the day look like when
I slept for three years?

Speaker 4 (34:23):
I wake up like I wake up? What time? Play
with my like my kids would.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
Come in the room, probably like around like eleven noon.
I couldn't make it to eleven or noon for the
life of me. Now it's crazy. I wake up at
like one two in the morning, even when I don't

(34:49):
have to come in here.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
It's just my body's crazy.

Speaker 6 (34:52):
But I'm telling you that for those three years because
my achilles tendant was really sore too, so I stopped re.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
In my heel.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
I was just in the bed and I milked that
injury for as long as I could. So Trisha was
bringing me food in the bedroom. I literally watched Netflix.
I never left my room. I steam showered, I hobbled
back into my bed. I laid down. It was dark.

(35:24):
Maybe I was depressed, but I don't think I was depressed.
I was just the happiest I've ever been. I think
it's the happiest I had ever been, to be honest,
three years, Like I just like, oh my gosh, Like
woke up, like looked around, like I don't have to
work out, Like I don't have to go to the facility,
Like I don't have to go do this, Like oh

(35:46):
my gosh. Like I laid back down, turned TV on,
put my hands behind my head, enjoyed watching the show.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Did you have a bellue would ring?

Speaker 3 (35:55):
No?

Speaker 6 (35:56):
I had my cell phone text mess Can you bring
me up some Can you make sure my bacon is crispy?

Speaker 4 (36:03):
Please?

Speaker 5 (36:04):
For like three years?

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Can I go? Can we go? Can I go? Can
I go? Del Monic Coast Steak this morning?

Speaker 6 (36:12):
With my eggs? Can you make sure my eggs today?
Because sometimes I like them over easy to put on
the home fries, which she makes amazing home fries, but
today I'd like them to be scrambled with cheddar cheese.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
Please. I'm telling you and my mother in law.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
My in laws were living with us too, so she
cooks and she caters, so I'm getting the double treatment.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
It's the greatest time of my life.

Speaker 6 (36:46):
And then reality sunk in and then I woke up
and I started working again. It's like I gotta do
something with my life. This is I got bored. I
got bored as hell, and that's when I started doing
other things.

Speaker 5 (37:00):

Speaker 5 (38:03):
Here's the left Over Boys opportunity to get rich. I mean,
you're already rich, but if you wanted to get more rich,
here's your chance. Powerball nine hundred and five million dollars
the next drawing is coming up later on tonight. I
would say, let's all go in and buy a bunch

(38:23):
of Powerball tickets. The problem is, last time we did that,
Lee to Lap, our producer at the time, went and
bought booze instead of the the number of tickets. We're
not making that up.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
That's not that's a true story. We're not making that up.
You're telling the story.

Speaker 5 (38:39):
Jonas, just letting letting people know this is not a
made up story. There was a go buy X amount
of tickets and returning from there.

Speaker 7 (38:52):
Power Aren't they selling them overseas now too or something?

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (38:55):
One of them like meg a million or Powerball is
like people in the UK can play now, which is weird.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
I I thought I already won that war and now
we got to share our lottery wins with them.

Speaker 7 (39:08):
I'm just saying, like, what are we doing here?

Speaker 4 (39:09):
Can you imagine if somebody over there wins?

Speaker 7 (39:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (39:13):
I can.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
I can imagine that. I can imagine that scenario.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
That's funny. I just like, what will what? What? What will?

Speaker 6 (39:20):
People say? This like this is the problem they do.
How do we how are we this much in debt?
Always that we're just selling everything off, But we.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
Got an extra nine hundred million lying around for some
jay off who picks the right numbers at a gas
You know.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
They're going to that's that's called stimulus.

Speaker 6 (39:43):
I just don't like they're gonna give it back in
like six months.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
It's like you got Powerball, Mega millions, super Lotto going.
There's like I don't know, like, could we like take
a portion of that money and put it towards something?

Speaker 4 (40:01):
You know? They're like, uh, I mean they.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Do pay taxes on it, obviously, but I mean that's
how big of the generous we are. I mean that
money is derived from all the ticket sales.

Speaker 4 (40:11):
And they're gonna give it back. Yeah, they're going.

Speaker 6 (40:14):
They're going back cars, bay houses. They're gonna need lawyers
because that's going to happen. They might even help out
the jail population. You just never know, like, but they're
gonna give it all back. Can't get right? They get right.
They generally win out of the lottery. Whoever does win.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
If you're listening to this and you give that money
all back someday, you're an idiot. You got problems. That's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
Man.
