Yeah, same to you. Where Brady he disappeared. He's in
Miami for the game.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Well it might be he might.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Be spotted him on a plane. I saw a picture
of him being spotted on a plane.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh no kidding, Yeah, at the airport. Yeah, it must
be nice. Now, now I will say this, Pete, We're
just gonna lob a few at you here and just
let you go. Overall takeaway from this weekend in the
NFL playoffs was what, uh, sloppy?
Speaker 4 (02:14):
A lot of sloppy play. A lot of sloppy play
with the quarterbacks. Uh, you know, and you look at it,
and weather it had something to do with it in
some places. I get it. But CJ. Stroud was awful.
The mistakes made in Chicago. You know, when you look
at what Key Williams did, he made a lot of
wonderful plays, but we also made some bad mistakes. You know,
you can go around and see a lot of bad
(02:35):
quarterback play. I think even in you know, Drake may
made a tomb He fumbled four times in that game
and still won. And I think the last person to
do that when a quarterback fumbled four times and one
was the week before when CJ. Stroud did it against Pittsburgh.
So a lot of sloppy, sloppy play, but I think
you're gonna see and Josh Allen was sloppy by the
(02:55):
way as well. So when you see what happens, I
think you're gonna look it back on it and go.
Everybody's gonna highlight the Bills catch. But I think for me,
I think we talked all playoffs about no Lamar, no
Patrick Mahomes, no Joe Burrow, and I think we saw
some average quarterback play in a division round.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Pete. All right.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
With that being said, I'm a first take aim. I'm
a first take aim at Josh Allen. If if you're
the media, if you're the Bills, if you're I guess
anyone who paid attention to that game with an interest
in it, what is your takeaway? Because obviously, you know,
(03:38):
Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are the two that everybody says,
can't get it done, can't finish it off, can't get
into the final game, can't win the final game. What
is the post mortem of Josh Allen being a part
of a loss this this weekend?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Well, and Lamar and Josh Allen have the bullseye on
them because they win MVP, have won the title, and
so you're going to be that guy Dan Marino had
his entire career. It doesn't mean you're not a great quarterback.
It just means that, for whatever reason, it hasn't happened
in the big moments, and both of them made bad
plays in the big moments. Now I'm going to go
to Josh Allen on Sunday. On Saturday, why the hell
(04:18):
did they even call that play at the end of
the half. It was a stupid play on his part,
but it was a stupid play to call it. You
had no timeouts. What's your best case? Even if you
hit one twenty yards down the field, you're going to
get the ball spiked and even try and get another playoff.
The reality is there was nothing to be gained there,
and I've seen many teams do it this year, you know,
just like at the end of the half when there's
(04:39):
like ten seconds up, they get the ball back and
they turn and hand the ball off on the last
play of the game. Why are you even turning and
handing the ball off. You can bobble the snap, you
can you know, you can mishandle the handoff and all
of a sudden that leads the points on the other direction.
So just take the kneame go in. So that's on
the bills for calling the play. It's on Josh Allen
for making a stupid play, mumble of fact fumble. That's
(05:01):
not on him. Come on, the guy came acrossing around
the corner and knocked it out of his arm. He
can't blame that one on him. The interception in the
middle of field was a terrible throw. I have no
earthly idea what the hell he was seeing there. The
safety came across from you know, the airport in Denver,
and we know how far that is from the city
to make that play. Terrible play on his part. And
then the other interception that's on his record that wasn't
(05:23):
an interception, that was a catch. And the reality is
is it should have been a completed pass. He should
have made the field goal, and then you wouldn't be
having this talk. So and he, by the way, he
did come back from twenty three to ten down to
put him in the lead the fourth quarter. And so, yeah,
he made some he made some bad plays. He made
some really good plays. And the one that really, really,
(05:45):
really fastic thing is when he missed Dawson Knox on
the cross so that would have won.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Oh yeah, that's the one.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
He's got to hit that. He got to hit that throw.
He knows it.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
And there was also the and we were talking about
this earlier, but the one that jumped out to me
was they were up twenty four, Buffalo is up twenty
four to twenty three. There was a third down deep
in Denver territory and it and he underthrew Shakir on
like a screen pass. It stopped the clock.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
You know what, Jonas, I don't think that. Yeah, I
saw people said he's score that would you know the
way the guy was coming down, the way that play
skipped that it delayed a second he would have lasted.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
But there was also like, yeah, and I know that
Sean McDermott wants to call Jay Skirsky, and you know,
like I do a pool report from the team playing,
and everyone wants to focus on that and lebar and
I's point was man like Josh Allen, like that was
not a great game for him, Like they he had
him lined up, he had him in position to win,
the to win, but it wasn't like he had a
(06:41):
great game. They still had an opportunity and that was
a terrible call. And the fact that they didn't even
review it as a problem the one that I look
at and go, now, what c J. Stroud because it
feels like it it's slowly gotten worse. Pete from his
rookie season that everybody raved about and now I don't
(07:04):
know we were saying this earlier. It's almost like he
finds himself entering this next season in the same spot
that Bryce Young is in, and nobody would have thought
that two years ago when evaluating both those quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I wonder if they should have benched them.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I don't know that it would have been a horrible
decision to go with the second string guy.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
And see if you could have got a boost out of.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Them one quick thing of the Bills back the Bills
real quick. I didn't like the calls on Tass interfered
for probably a normal situation were great calls, but they
let the one on Moscow at the end of the game,
and so if you're going to call it one way,
she's called it the whole way. I think consistency is
important when it comes to officiating, and they let him
(07:49):
play the whole game. There's probably a hold in the
end zone they let go. You know, they could have
won the game they'd let him play, and then at
the end they didn't let him play. And I wanted
him to score there just to see if Vic Dermott
would have and smart enough to go, if he would
have gone for nine to two to get to nine,
because that's what you have to do in that situation.
Nobody would have done it, you know, they brought it
up on the broadcast and have to go for two
(08:09):
to get to nine, so that way it ends the game,
and if you don't make it, then it's still seven
and they're not going to go for two to win
it anyway. So I wanted to see that playoff. But
back to Stroud, Yeah, look, he's a mess. And he
was a mess against the Steelers and won the game,
but he's a mess right now. He just doesn't look
like he has any confidence. And you can look at
Eco Collins not being there, but when he wasn't there,
(08:33):
you know, he played the same so during the season.
So the reality is that's not the reason why he
just didn't look comfortable. He never has looked comfortable to season.
And you know there's a narrative around the league that people,
you know, going into the season didn't think he was
as good as he's being portrayed. And maybe they were right,
and all of us thought he was going to bounce
back and get to being a player he once was.
(08:55):
We're wrong because now they have a major decision on
their hands. He can't give him a contract, a major
contract extension, and now all of a sudden, you're a
franchise looking for a quarterback and that's your problem.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
M all right, let's keep it moving. Caleb Williams, I mean,
he I think a lot. I won't speak for everybody else,
I'll speak for myself. I said, this was a game
and it's a moment in time where you can start
to separate yourself and put yourself in the conversations of
(09:26):
how they talk about the most elite quarterbacks in the league.
That's what this game represented to me. It's a it's
a definitive step forward in that direction.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
He brought him back, Pete.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I mean, he did bring him back, but there were
some moments where you were just like, you got to
make those throws or you got to make this happen,
and it didn't happen for him.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
What's your take?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
What's your take on where we're at currently with the
view of of mister Williams, I.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Think he's his improvement is in the process, it really is.
I think he's really become a much better quarterback, and
he's become a much better player getting to the ball
of the right guy and going through his reasons.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
I think Ben Johnson has done a great job with that.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
The problem is, and he's only a second year quarterback,
is getting those bad plays out of your system. And
he did it for the most part in the regular season.
You know, now the play that we're through, the interception
late in the game or in overtime next debatable whether
that's on hammer on the receiver across the face. It
wasn't a great decision anyways. Either way, the guy's gonna
(10:30):
get blaster, is going to be picked. But again, the
wild plays, they're always going to be there. And I
think he's growing as a quarterback in terms of standing
in the pocket and making the right reason going through
his progressions. I mean, look, I'm not one. I think
the play he made for the touchdown to Tiet was fantastic,
but he's just throwing it up. I mean, he's it's
(10:51):
a fantastic play, but that's not you know, that's not
one you can count on weekend and week out. So
I think from a weekend and week out standpoint, I
think he's made it just enormous strides. And by the
way listening to him after the game and what he
was saying, I think we had a perception a lot
of people had a perception of him coming in that
he you know, there was this talk of he wasn't
(11:11):
a great worker, he didn't love it, he didn't live it.
I really was impressed with what I heard from him
after the game and the way he handled himself and
the way he moved forward to talked about I need
to be better, and I'm going to go back and
evaluate this and I'm learning just it was impressive and
I think that Striggo Bears have their long term answer
at quarterback. Maybe they'll actually get a guy who throws
for four thousand yards once in the history of the franchise.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
She's Pete, you only a kick a franchise while they're down?
How could you?
Speaker 6 (11:38):
He is?
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Pete Prisco joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, senior
NFL columnist for CBS Sports, CBS Sports HQ analysts. Get
him on x at Prisco CBS. All right, So on
the subject of the Seahawks, because I saw you tweet
this that you know they've they've you feel they're the
best team left. How much of a concern though, is
the Sam Darnold element, because look, that defense is phenomenal.
(12:02):
The Niners were banged up, but that I mean that
game was a wipeout and it was nowhere close at
any point during that game. But you know, he's got
the oblique. They ran the ball well. But now you've
got the Rams, a team who I think probably feels like, look, man,
we should be two and zero against this team. We
coughed up that lately and on a Thursday night a
few weeks back. It just it feels like, even though
(12:25):
they looked really, really good against San Francisco, the Rams
present some problems. And we're still not sure about Sam
Donald because he didn't have to really do that much
on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Correct they still dominated. That's the point. I mean, if
you had to rely on Sam Donald on the consistent basis.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
I think I'd be a little bit worried about that.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
But here's what I'm worried about with the Rams. Two
things that I've been saying in all year long. They
don't and they had success against Seattle. They'll get me wrong,
but they don't run that well outside and they don't
scare you down the field. And you saw that on Sunday.
They were the Bears who hadn't been great by away
on defense and particularly the secondary. They smothered those guys
(13:04):
for most parts. And I think Sean McVay is great
at scheming up guys to get open. And Pooka the
Coup is a fantastic receiver, but he doesn't run that well,
and so when you look at it, you know, can
you scheme him up again to get him open? That's
what I want to see the other side of it is.
I'm worried about the secondary in the pass rush. So
you know, the pass rush had been dominant early in
(13:25):
the year to kind of seem to tow off a
little bit. I think the secondary is a problem. I
really do. Now whether they can take advantage of that.
In Seattle with Sam Darnold, like you mentioned, that's the
X factor because you saw guys open on Sunday and
there were plays to be made down the field and
they would drop balls by the Bears receivers. I think
that's going to be an issue for the Rams as well.
(13:46):
I don't love their secondary, and I think if you
can block them, you can and I think consistently they
were pretty much blocked on Sunday. And I think if
you with Tony moving the left tackle by the way,
so if you block him, you beat him. And that's
my concern. No speed on the outside and you got
to scheme it up to get him open, and they
do a great job of it. But remember years ago
he schemed up Jared Golf to get to the Super
(14:06):
Bowl and they were Remember they were putting up big
points all over the place, and then they got to
the Super Bowl, and that scheme went awride because Belichick
came over and you know, to put a different front up,
and they couldn't run the ball and they kind of limited.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
What they did.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
So it's players over scheme no matter what. And if
you don't have the speed on the outside, I think
that shows up, and I think that's going to show
up for Seattle. By the way, Seattle fans hate me,
so I sent that out. Now they're like, oh my god,
the world is ending. What are we doing here? I'm like, gosh,
even he's on the band wagon. Oh no, this is
a band Look how dare he he does this? And
(14:39):
you know they're losing, so, you know, because he's a
mush and the whole deal they went.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
On, well, why do they hate you? Because all the
Russell Wilson commentary you've had over the years, back in.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
The years, Russell Wilson, the legion of boom.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
You know, they all blocked me. Richard Sherman blocked me
way back in the day because I tweeted out some
pictures of him holding once and he blocked me, and
Cam Chance would block me. And you know they don't
love me in Seattle.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
So well, how should we be viewing McDermott. I went
through the quarterbacks, but I think the one coach that
would probably come under the most scrutiny in this playoff
playoff run outside of obviously what took place in Pittsburgh
would be McDermott. And I just I'm curious, what are
(15:24):
your thoughts, like, are should there still be faith in
McDermott if you're the brass of the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
He gets one more year. I think he gets one
more year. Oh think yeah. And the reason I say
that is because, Okay, you lost the playoff game. You're
out on the road against the one seed. You had
to lead the fourth quarters, you know what I mean.
It's not like if they had gone there and got
blown out, then maybe you could revisit it and make,
you know, bring the case closer to the forefront to
(15:52):
get rid of them. But I think the fact you
were out on the road, they had a ton of
injuries this year to navigate through, even on Sunday. I
mean think about it, Saturday, you know you're down harriston
the cornerback, so you know you lose to Davis White
for play Dame Jackson. Then they go right at him
and beat him a bad defense? Why do you leave
it have been a one on one situation like that
Darnell Savage who got cutting Jacksonville and cutting a couple
(16:14):
of because he can't run. He gets on the field
and gets toasted when he got an injury. And I
think their depths has been depleted, and I think they
had a lot of injuries, and I think that's that's
the reason. Ultimately he's going to get another year. Now,
you better win the division next year. And I know
the Patriots have gotten a lot better, but the Buffalo
has to win that division and find a way to
get those home games, those playoff games at home, and
(16:37):
you know, make a real push to get to the
super Bowl again. And ultimately maybe he needs to get
there next year. But I do think you'll get another
year based on what happened on Saturday, Pete.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Before I let you go, are you willing to uh or? Actually,
I'll ask you this right side wrong result bet from
this weekend that you lost that you look at and go,
I got that right, they just didn't cooperate.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Well, I'll give you. I'll give you two because I
you know, in my pick situation with Kyle Long, I
am the choking dog of all time.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
By the way, I can admit this.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
My playoffs have been I'm one and with how many
games have been six and four?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Ten?
Speaker 4 (17:18):
I think I'm one and nine in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Think about it. Oh, wow, that's bad.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
That's rough, really bad.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
And and but okay, but I can evaluate it this way. Buffalo,
which was my best pick for the week, and you
know we have to pick one of those my best bet.
That was my best bet. That come on, give me
a break. You're supposed to win that game.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
I went oh for last week too, Pete.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
So I feel like you were on the right side
of every bet. Your sense was in play, That's all
it was.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
Think about how this is last week the Packers, right,
you had to lead in that game, you lost it.
You should have won that one. The other one, there
was another one last week that there were two of
them that could have gotten either way that I should
have won. Then this week Buffalo the Rams three and
a half, he's scoring fourth and fourth, throw up a
hail Mary. He's supposed to win that game too. So
(18:06):
I think I think that's when you look at it. Okay,
I'm one and nine. I could easily be five and four.
So that's the way I look at So there's your
two the rams with the Hail Mary. And then, by
the way, when we picked it, I don't know what
it was on Sunday, but when we picked it was
three and a half. It was a loser, and then
and then the other one and then but here's the
other thing. He threw two shots into the end zone
(18:26):
in the overtime that both were catchable balls, if you
know what I mean. They could have won the game
and covered right there. So I'm one and nine and
I stink in the postseason, I'm like curling up like CJ.
Stroud in the postseason.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Oh no, yeah, geez.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Well, Pete, I'll tell you this.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
A hotly debated topic around here is who's this year's MVP.
But I'm not talking about a football player, Pete. I'm
talking about the most valuable poor You know what, You'll

Speaker 3 (19:09):
People get you some, Pete Louisiana hot sauce boy?
Speaker 2 (19:12):
You some how about that?
Speaker 3 (19:13):

Speaker 4 (19:14):

do I remember that name. Nick Foles took to social media.
I posted on X yesterday quote note for the Broncos
(24:36):
and their fans. I know it has been an emotional
twenty four hours. I feel for Bo and the team,
and I'm sending prayers for a strong recovery. A positive
note going into the game versus the Patriots is that
they struggle against backup quarterbacks and championship type games. So
Nick Foles entering.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
The frame, get me, come get me, y'all. That's how
all this Joe Flacco talk come great.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
By the way, welcome to twenty twenty six, where Nick
Foles can say prayers up and let me take a
then we take a dig at the Patriots for my
performance in the Super Bowl years ago, so all simultaneously
in one tweek.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Come get at me. Yeah, y'all need somebody to take
him down. Come get at me.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
God, that's gotta be man.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
I thought, you don't steal you another trophy. You're gonna
get a trophy Denver too.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Although I will say this, look, Denver's defense is fantastic. Also,
if Drake may coughs the ball up, like if CJ.
Stretch just didn't turn the ball over yesterday, bro home he.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Oh, come on, man, all he had to do was
manage that game. All he had to do was manage it.
And I told you listen, I told y'all coming in,
this does not this play this playoff does not.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Fare well.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
It doesn't look like it's going to go well for
game changing quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
I said it.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
I said it like you gotta have a game manager
because these defenses are too good.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
So so wouldn't that lean into maybe the Broncos do
have a shot with Jared Stidham, because because look, if
Jared Stidham just goes out there and doesn't turn the
ball over with that defense, you got a chance man like.
Denver's defense is one of the top defenses in the league.
(26:37):
And I do think, and you mentioned this when we
open up the show, I do think it's it is
kind of nice that. Look, Seattle's defense is fantastic, Denver's
defense is great, like you are seeing defenses show up here,
New England's defense like it's it's the It's the most
(27:00):
usual result in NFL playoff football that defenses are going
to step up and the teams are the best defense
will rise to the occasion. And they have risen to
the occasion. And I just look at it and I go,
I know, people just assume that with Jared Stidham and
bow Nicks being out that the Broncos are finished. I
look at it and I go, based on what we
saw yesterday, Drake me is going to potentially give up
(27:25):
the football. And as long as you just don't do
that on your end, Denver's got a shot here. You know,
there's some hope there for the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
So they just got to be able to run the ball,
man like. Bow Knicks was their lead and rusher in
the game, and you know, McLoughlin, Harvey, they weren't. They
weren't very much of a factor in the offensive scheme
and what was going on. They got to be able
(27:53):
to establish to run because whoever it is, if it's Stidham,
which that's most likely who it's going to be, Stidham
is the guy, then you do not want the weight
of winning the AFC Championship title game to rest on
a backups arm. So this this offensive line is going
(28:17):
to have to buck up, and they're going to have
to block, and they're going to have to move bodies,
and they're going to have to stay ahead of the chains.
You're going to have to be able to run the
ball on early downs or you're going to have to
rely on this coaching staff and the brilliance of what
Sean Payton brings as an offensive mind in a very
(28:41):
very short game in the passing game, because you do
not you do not want to take unnecessary risks against
this this verbel Rabel defense.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
I know why my mouth isn't working, but Vrabel's defense is.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
They're also so they've taken some major strats forward in
the conversations of being one of the more dominant defenses
in in the league as well.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
So you don't want to take too many chances.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Do you think maybe the NFL just to kind of
even things out, they'll allow Bronco fans at the game
to just smoke weed at will and just maybe smoke
New England out of that stadium. Like if you think about,
like imagine already hard to breathe up in there. Yeah,
just blowing pot smoke, just some blowing the hippie.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Lettuce to a hot box.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Yeah, yeah, right into a mile.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Oh my god, first one ever. And then you you
sell a T shirt with a split on saying mao ha.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Drake May gets to the side, Drake May gets to
the sidelines and he's eating chocolate aisles and Fredo's.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Like just just maybe you have on the front of it,
how ha and on the back of it maoha, you know,
just saying little promo, right, cool, little promotion.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
We've got even things out, man, got.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I bet you there's a weed farm out there, producer
that got the cash to do it.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Oh yeah, like sponsored that make it work.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Come on, you pot junkies, get it together, help your
team out.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Now.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Let me ask you this, uh, let me ask you this.
Were you surprised that when the Bears scored late in
the game last night that they chose to kick the
extra point and not go for two.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
I did, I was did you were you? I just
knew they were going for it. But I will say
I will say this, there's no possible way that play
was designed that way.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
There's no possible way.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
And so to think that you could get lucky twice,
I'm gonna take my chances in the extra time.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
I'm gonna take my chances.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Because if we try to do it right here, I
just I just want to see if we can get
into like an offensive groove and see if we can
move a downfield like play defense, if we if we
got to play defense first, or see if we can
get into an offensive groove to put some points on
the board if we go on offense first. But let's regroup,
(31:22):
because that was a very very emotional high and I
could see why, I could see why Ben would want
to take the points.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
It really shouldn't even be debatable, like.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
For real, for real, like if you're pure a purest
if you're a real like historian of the game, it's
really shouldn't even be a conversation. I just think as
of late, we've now turned going forward on fourth downs
and not taking you know, the extra points and stuff
like that. I think that's just a new trend of
the game.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Ben Johnson spoke about and was asked about the possibility
of going for two at the end of that game
last night.
Speaker 9 (32:06):
Give much concern going for thought about it, Yeah, thought
about it. Probably What played a little bit of a
factor was, you know, our goal to go situations hadn't
gone very clean are inside the five plan hadn't worked
out quite like we had hoped, and so I just
felt better about taking our chances there and.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Overtime, And that was that was my and that was
my thought because if you like, they got stopped so
many times in short yardage situations that to expect them
to go out there and all of a sudden, with
the game on the line deliver in that moment, like
that's just see it would have been fun. It would
have been fascinating to watch and see, you know, the
fallout afterwards of how everything played out. But they kicked
(32:49):
the extra point, they tied it, they had their chances.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
And overtime fallout like maybe they get it, you know
what I mean, maybe they get it, but it will
never know.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
But they did come back and they made an improbable
fourth down play fourth and forever. This dude runs for
forever more and throws it up and and and gets
gets them in there. I just that would be hard
for me, Like you could go, you can fall on
two sides of it. It's we I can't believe we
(33:19):
completed this. So the fact that we completed it, let's
just go ahead and finish it, right or it's like,
I can't believe that just happened. My mind is blown.
Let's just kick this field goal. The amount of momentum
that we just grabbed in this game, Like we might
have just sucked the life out of this team by
(33:40):
doing what we did, Like, let's let's put them away.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Let's put them away in overtime.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
To your point, though, it is kind of wild that
it's even a thought nowadays.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
Yeah that like.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Because yeah, conventional wisdom would be, no, you kick the
extra point. Don't be downe like, like, don't be ridiculous. Correct,
And then Dan Campbell steps up and says, hold my
beer and just continues to And I think it's ricky going.
It's just it's changed the way you watch football. Just
like we were talking about, and you made the point.
You know, penalties now, like you're you're constantly looking around
(34:14):
for a flag if there's contact down the field, you're
waiting for the yellow graphic to come up. Now, Like
I don't know what analytics are telling coaches. I don't
I don't know what that does. Like all of a sudden,
it's like, well, the numbers say this, and the percentage
of say this, and it's like, man, they're just out
there just playing with fire nowadays, completely.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Different literally and figuratively. This is what I know.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
I'm not going for two points here, not because I'm scared. One,
I'm basing it off of the information that the coach
just stated and his his SoundBite, which he's right, they
did not have great success in the red zone. But
then two, I'm also looking at it like my defense
(35:01):
is playing well, we're doing what we need to do.
You can't end in a tie and and and that's
to me, I feel like, Okay, if we're going to
potentially end in the tie because we can't move the
ball well enough, then I get it, like, let's just
try for it, let's go for it, let's try to
(35:22):
end it here. But the game can't end in the tie,
So all you gotta do is just keep playing defense.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
You can't score, just keep playing defense.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
I'm gonna I'm gonna take my my my chances on
the fact that if my defense can hold up, that
Caleb is going to do exactly what he did in
that game. At some point, he's gonna he's gonna have
magic happen for him on one of their drives.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
And the new overtime rules aren't like the old ones
to where it's sudden death right from the jump, So
you're gonna get an opportunity like there's gonna be a
chance for you in overtime. And yeah, I think, I
just think, yeah, I totally agree. It is two Pros

Before the Hut challenge with quarterbacks, Pizza Hut has another
message for fans. Don't forget to order Pizza Hut before
the first Hut is.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Yeah, how you do it? Lorena, you say what you said? Hut?
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yeah, one more time, give it to me one more time, Hut.
Give it to me two times hot hut.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Yello Hut before the quarterback does, well, you're going to
get that pizza. And you know what the move is
to get the big New Yorker. It's their biggest pizza
for the biggest games. It's massive with slices so tall,
make all of y'all fall. Now, I'm just being being funny.
I'm talking about how big them pizzas are. You're gonna
fold them up and you're gonna eat it. And why
(37:13):
slice style if you dig what I'm saying, and right now,
it's just ten bucks. So you get all that pizza
for your belly and you ain't got to go into
your pocket and you can't afford to get to the Tellee.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Hey, I'm just telling you how it gets. You know,
I'm talking about that massive slice that you're gonna get
if you go with that New Yorker.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
So before the first Hut, order the biggest pizza for
the biggest games. Grab it. It's the Big New Yorker
and your set for the entire game. I don't know
what your pizza is that you order from Pizza Hut,
but I generally like to go with the meat lovers
from time to time with extra sauce on there. That's
my jam. You might want to do something different, but
(37:53):
I'm urging you. I'm telling you to try that Big
New Yorker because any time you got that big game
on the weekend, that's going to be your pizza. And
if you do it, don't forget to do it before
the first Hut.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
Do the pizza before the Hut. You'll get it for
just ten Buckshut.

Speaker 10 (39:55):
Yes, but it doesn't really have a lot of nutritional
value because your body doesn't break it down, which is
why it comes out full pieces like none.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
By the way, do you do you layer when you
get your movie popcorn? Do you have them layer it
to where they'll put a little popcorn in, then they'll
put the butter on, and then they'll put a little
more in, put their own.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Butter on these days, Jonas, you didn't know that. No,
no butter stations.
Speaker 11 (40:16):
But they it depends where you go though.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yeah, but they can get they'll they'll do it for you.
Speaker 11 (40:22):
My hometown, my hometown. You have to do it.
Speaker 10 (40:25):
They do it themselves, like they will not let you
do it. You have they have to be like, do
you want butter? And I'm like, yeah, every layer that's
an organ. They also don't let you pump your own gas.
Speaker 11 (40:32):
Actually put their cousins. But anyways, you who I'm kidding.
That was a joke. Come from Oregon. I never slept
with my cousins. Okay. Anyways, So really.
Speaker 10 (40:42):
Cool cinemas like aMCI Cinema and Real they're offering specials.
Speaker 11 (40:48):
So Assi has free popcorn form members.
Speaker 10 (40:50):
If you bring your own popcorn bucket to cinemak you
can bring whatever you want and they'll fill it up
like the Slurpy Day at seven eleven.
Speaker 11 (40:57):
So that one's fun. And then regal if you dress up.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
In a costume such a wild word.
Speaker 11 (41:02):
Slurpy wild word there is.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
Yeah, it's been going for a really really long time.
People have been slurping a long time.
Speaker 11 (41:10):
What do you guys like to dip your popcorn in?
Besides butter? Do you like like mustard? Do you like klopenos?
What about chocolate? Do you like chocolate?
Speaker 2 (41:19):
With your not a wing?
Speaker 11 (41:22):
You should try an accessory?
Speaker 3 (41:24):
Something buffalo sauce for.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
Yeah, what's your favorite dipping sauce?
Speaker 10 (41:29):
Buffalo popcorn is so good you throw me off lay.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
What do you dip your popcorn? And like, I take
a handful, I dip it in my mouth.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
You should try it.
Speaker 10 (41:43):
We dip dip, nacho cheese, mustard and holopenos are my favorite.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
No, I'm a I'm a big fan of just cheese popcorn,
like like good cheese podcasta that's smart of corn.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
It's really good.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
I don't like do you like caramel corn popcorn? I
don't like caramel.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
I can do it, Yeah, I can do it. I
got to be in the mood for it. I gotta
be in the mood for kernel corn or not kernel?
What is it called kettle? Kettle? I can, I can do.
I mean, I just got to be in the mood
for it. Like we're talking just traditional you know, butter
popcorn at the movie theater. Just put butter on it,
(42:27):
like put the liquid butter on it. Keep it moving,
like maybe a tad bit of salt, keep it moving.
Well it is peppers and and do we Louisiana.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Hot sauce on it? Make it spicy about it?
Speaker 11 (42:42):
I like that one bar. Enjoy your Monday.
