The mm QB.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You can get them on x at Alberbreer And hopefully
we keep things civil today.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Oh, I think we can.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I think we're capable of keeping the civil I'll uh,
I'll be an attendance of the Notre Dame game this weekend,
by the way, so hopefully they hopefully they can.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Yeah, yeah, hopefully Brady for taking to me, taking to
calling me the and I am I'm.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
The most for the ely risk. They're always with me, and.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Hopefully hopefully we can hopefully you can.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Break that spring that's training for you this weekend, Brady.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Yeah, I love when you come on our show and
gloat about how they haven't been as good when you
when you're in attendance.

Speaker 8 (02:13):
But that will change this week.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
Here's the other thing though, it points out, is you
know this game this week for the Buckeyes was supposed
to be outside of Texas, and even with the including Texas,
maybe that you know, one of the biggest games of
the season now so much so that you know you've
got a diehard Buckeye fan like Albert Bert he's not
even attending. I mean, is the horse you even going
to be sold out? Is gonna be like seventy percent full?

(02:36):
Like what's happening right now?

Speaker 5 (02:38):
I don't know. I mean, is it still a tough ticket?
I don't know. I'm not sure. I mean it was
before the year, Before the year would have been a
really tough ticket. I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
If I was not even going to the game, I
was like getting ready.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Are you going?

Speaker 9 (02:52):
No, I'm not. I'm not Fairweather. I'm not I'm not bamwag.

Speaker 10 (02:58):
And I just felt like and measure and measurement to
going to the game, which I was planning on going.
This is my wife's birthday weekend, so it was kind
of like, you know, it's.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Not as so it was You're only going to go
if it's worth it.

Speaker 10 (03:15):
It's a well, it's a it's a little deeper, like
it's a little anniversary deal, like like not to get
like turning you know, like dark or anything like that.
But a significant happening took place, and it's the anniversary
of it. So I'm gonna be here with her and
hang out with her. And it would have had to
have taken something pretty significant for me to not you know,

(03:37):
be here this weekend.

Speaker 9 (03:38):
So I'll leave it at that. But but I.

Speaker 10 (03:42):
Say, I had a conversation with coach Terry yesterday with
my weekly that I sit down with him, and you know,
I always liked the odds of games like this, like
coming into it, you can say, well, based upon how
how low Penn State had performed level wise and how
high Ohio State has performed level wise, it's it's a

(04:05):
clear you know, obviously what the conclusion should be on Saturday.
But these are the type of games you you sometimes
forget how good the players are because of what the
record is and what they've gone through. But I feel
like they may have stabilized a little bit, you know,
gotten a little bit used to or over the firing,
the shell shock of fired, you know, of their coach,

(04:28):
and now it's you know, maybe they could put together
a game against Ohio State.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
I mean, they still have players, that's for sure, and
I I would say, the one thing that scares me
is this always scares me, you know in these sorts
of situations is the quarterback is from Ohio and he
wasn't recruited by.

Speaker 8 (04:47):
And that thing, what do youlew a center?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I was, I was in school.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
I was in school when and Brady this name will
probably ring a bell with you. Maybe you two are.

Speaker 8 (05:00):
He took me on a visit.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Yeah, Ryan Brewer. Yeah, Ryan Brewer two years in a row.
I believe in the outbacks. Yeah, ripped Ohio State apart.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
And I believe was he mister football in.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Ohio and he wasn't recruiting, was right?

Speaker 8 (05:16):
He was?

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Yea yeah, yeah, So I'm always I'm always literally like
the underdog from Ohio who wasn't recruited by us.

Speaker 9 (05:23):
So that was.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
That was my recruiting visit with Ryan Brewer. It was
like the only dude from anywhere above the Mason Dixie line.
And so he was he had foot surgery, I think,
and so he was on crutches, but like he pulls
up in his Camaro and I'm like, oh, yeah, I've
watched him like beat Ohio State now the past couple
of years. And you know, kind of took us around
a summertime so there wasn't much going on in Columbia,

(05:47):
South Carolina. But really really good dude and very very
much motivated by the fact that Ohio State, to your point,
did not recruit him. So he did not forget that
and he made sure to show out in those two
games youre talking about.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
I think, like, wasn't I'm var I might be wrong
about this, wasn't Curtis.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
It's from Columbus too, or from Ohio.

Speaker 9 (06:06):
He's from Yeah, he's from Westerville.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
I think that's right. So like Curtis, this is another
one where it was like a huge revenge game and
he rushed for probably two fifty years.

Speaker 10 (06:16):
Johnna Carter, Yeah, we've had We've had some historical dudes
that have played really well.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
Against That's what I'm thinking of.

Speaker 9 (06:22):
Yeah, yeah, that sounds o.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
John was Westerville, Okay, Yeah, but but but.

Speaker 9 (06:30):
He's an Ohio guy. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (06:31):
I mean he's probably the most impressive showing at the
Big thirty three of any probably any player period that's
played in the game. So Kurtinus was It's grown ass man.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
But Union City, Ohio was Curtis super country way West.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
Yeah, that's way. Well, it's like on the border of Indiana.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
He's almost a Hoosier, but he was totally he was
like Curtis is one of those I remember that vividly
of like him, like he emotional when he beat Ohigher
State because they didn't recruit.

Speaker 9 (07:02):
Him, right, like, so yeah, which is crazy.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Wow I forgot the draft. Wow. Yeah, so he would
have been like a year ahead of you then, right.

Speaker 10 (07:11):
I played with him freshman year. Yeah, I was on
the team, so I had to go against him every
day because I was on scout team.

Speaker 9 (07:20):
So damn.

Speaker 8 (07:21):
Yeah, that's a big boy with six foot two fifty
something like that.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
He was.

Speaker 10 (07:25):
He was a little and I mean he was like
literally negative one percent body fat. Yeah, m yeah, negative
one like bruh, like like like bruh granite chisel. Anyway,
let's not gush over that. Uh I want to I
guess I want to put a bow on it though.

Speaker 9 (07:46):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (07:47):
You do know that heartline is a pretty hot hot
topic and a hot candidate for certain jobs. How do
you see that that? Maybe is that a game to
watch to match up on Saturday as well?

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Yeah, I mean I think hertline is gonna be really
good head coach at some point, whether it's in college
in the NFL, Like I think I could definitely see him,
you know, going to the pros at some point, you know,
but he's done a phenomenal job, like and you know,
if you're looking for like a high end recruiter, no one,
and the track record seeks for herself, right like all

(08:24):
the guys that have gone through that receiver room over
the last you know, five or six years, Like he
is a top of the line recruiter, a really good
like tactician from a football standpoint, like I've I've heard
him talk football before. He's really really good in that area,
you know. And I think because he because he played,

(08:45):
he's got like that level of choice to him too,
you know, like that I think, you know, I think
there's like there's this there's this thing that I think
only an ex player can bring and in heartline, because
he's a really good NFL player can bring that also.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So at some point, I don't know if it'll be
you know.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
For you guys, Levarbara, at some point he's gonna be
a really good head guy.

Speaker 10 (09:04):
Do you think the stakes are too high for a
situation like this? Like, I just keep hearing that to
make a decision on a guy who has all the
elements that you're speaking of, but no no real experience
as as a head coach. Do you feel like we're
at in this nil era, the transfer portal era, that

(09:25):
that bringing in a guy that doesn't have you know.

Speaker 9 (09:28):
The the experience is it?

Speaker 10 (09:30):
Is it too big of a decision for a major
university to go after a guy like Heartline, Eh?

Speaker 5 (09:37):
I mean, I don't know. I like Brian Day didn't
have head coaching experience, you know what I mean, Like
when he became the head coach there. You know, Searan
Moore is the first time head coach at Michigan. Those
are big programs, you know, we'll see I think this
Cherry's still out on shar Own. Obviously Ryan's won a
national title. Uh, you know, And I do think like
the X player thing helps, you know what I mean? Like,

(09:59):
I think the sort of poll that it'll have as
a guy who played in the league would certainly help
bridge that gap. But but yeah, I mean I think
any I think the thing about it, LeVar and I
don't cover college football, so I don't know this is
because I know the NFL. But like I would say,
I would say, like one thing I've definitely observed is like,

(10:20):
you know, in college football, it's going to take more
support staff in general, you know what I mean than
it used to. It doesn't matter who you are. And
so like those sorts of you know, the coaching staff,
the scouting staff, the college programs have started to mirror
pro football more than ever before. You know, where you
actually have guys like like Nick Polk was, you know,

(10:43):
a cap guy and an agent in the NFL forever
and now he's a GM at Florida, you know what
I mean, Like that's not even a scouting guy like
he was.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
He was on the cap.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Side, you know, you know, working in the NFL. And
so I think that's sort of a sign of where
a lot of this is is going where, you know,
like college programs are going to start are starting to
get built out and look a lot more like NFL
teams do.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio a
b With the trade deadline coming up around the corner
in the NFL, what is the biggest name that could
potentially be moved?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
You know, I think there are a few, So I
would I would look at.

Speaker 9 (11:24):
I would.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
I don't think a J.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Brown is gonna get moved.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
I'll just put I'll put that out there now. I
I think they'll get calls if somebody does something crazy.
I mean, I guess you never say never. But like
I just I could see the Eagles trading him in
the off season. I don't think they'll do it in
season when they don't have to wear with all the
to replace him in the here and the now.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
So I would look at teams like the Jets.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
You know, I think Jermaine Johnson could be had. I
don't think they trade Will McDonald, Quincy Williams, the linebacker,
you know, somebody who I think you could you could
wind up pulling away from there. And Briest Hall is
another one. The price tag has gotten up on him
of late, and he is on an expiring deal, but
he'd be one the Dolphins. I think you're looking at
their edge rushers, and you know, would you be able

(12:12):
to to pry Bradley Chubb or Jalen Phillips for there?
From there, I think for the right price, either those
guys could be available. You know, like Cleveland's interesting. I
think Cleveland, you know, like I don't think they'll trade.
They won't trade Miles Garrett. I don't think they'll trade
Denzel Ward. But if you need a lineman like they've

(12:36):
got Joe Antonio and and Wyatt Keller, and you know,
certainly their building towards next year, you know, and then
I I think, you know, like looking at the Raiders
as another team has sort of fallen out of it,
you know, they've gotten calls from Jackson Powers Johnson an
offensive lineman. Michael Mayer's gotten some interest. I don't think

(12:56):
they want to move him, but he's certainly got some interest.
And so that's the level of name that you'd be
talking about. Though I don't think you're gonna see any
sort of like, oh my god, I can't believe this
happened right before the trade deadline. But I think it's
sort of a normal year when it comes to stuff
where you're gonna have some guys that are either older

(13:17):
or nearing the end of the rookie deals that could
wind up being on the move.

Speaker 7 (13:22):
Albert, we've got to I want to say a big
one tonight, but I guess almost like a survival of
the fittest between the Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 8 (13:30):
Baltimore doesn't have much room for air.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Looking at the Dolphins and at what point during the season,
given out things have gone and I know they had
a nice win versus Atlanta. I think I said Cleveland
in an earlier segment, but Atlanta their last game out.
Is there still pressure on Mike McDaniel at some point
where you feel like he could be the head coach

(13:53):
that ends up getting clipped here with with the way
things have gone, They've obviously got a three game homestand
that's coming up before the by but do you get
the sense of that if things go really poorly tonight
and maybe even the following week, that there could be
something coming.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
I mean, I feel like that. I feel like it's possible.
You know, I don't think the owner wants to make
a move in season. I think the big question is
going to be, and I think this is like kind
of something that they're going to be monitoring over the
next month, is does he still have the locker room
And there have been points when that's been tenuous over

(14:29):
the first two months of the season, whether or not
that team is still locked in with.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Him, And you know, like this is one of.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Those standalone games. And then I don't know if you
looked at where they're at before the bye, but they're
in They're in Madrid, and that's another standalone game. And
so like these that dynamic like that shouldn't make a difference,
you know what I mean, But a lot of times
it does, where you know, an owner doesn't like being

(15:00):
you know, embarrassed on national television in front of everybody.
And so like we've seen Stephen ROSSI that before. I
believe they were coming back from London when Joe Filden
got fired and they made Dan Campbell I'm the interim coach,
probably ten years ago now, So like Steve Ross, the
owner has done that before.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
So I certainly think there's.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
A possibility that it happens at some point between now
and the end of the year. You know, I know
that they're a cognizant of the job security question going
into the trade deadline, and I think ownership is going
to have a stun on whatever happens between now and
Tuesday and to make sure that that doesn't affect the

(15:42):
way that anything on the roster is managed.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
And you know, I do think that the other.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
Element here is you've got Anthony Weaver, who's incredibly well
thought of, who you know, the locker room loves. If
you're the owner, do you want to get you know,
a six to eight game run with any Weaver as
your head coach, just to see if maybe he is
worth hiring as as a full time head coach.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
In twenty twenty six, that could be a factor as well.

Speaker 10 (16:09):
Maybe you wrote about Miles Garrett potentially being one of
those those trade options and kind of talked about reasons why.
I wonder do you do you look at what took
place with Michael Parsons and how that was handled and say,
maybe it doesn't seem so outlandish at this point to

(16:31):
consider a building of you know, the reasoning that Jerry
Jones gave the building of your roster and trying to
move it forward and being able to utilize a player
of the value of like a Michael Parson's and in
this case a Miles Garrett. Like, what's the like, what's
the probability of that type of approach?

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Well, let me start here, I don't think it's going
to happen. Okay, So let's just say that flat out, like,
I don't think it's going to happen, but I think
it should, and I here's the reason why I think.
I think Miles is a dynamite player. He's headed for
Canton one of the best pass prushures, not just this era,
I think of any era.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
So like, it's very hard, it's.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
Very hard to find a player like that, and generally
when you have a player like that, you don't.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Let them go. That said, I just look at where.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
Cleveland's at now and what they've done to hit the
reset button over the last year. The reasoning behind trading
the second overall pick back in April was because they
took an honest look in the mirror and said, we're
not one player away. We need to get younger across
the board. Across the board, we need to infuse a
bunch of different positions with new talent, and so we're

(17:46):
going to use the second pick as a chip to
build towards the future. And it worked to a large degree.
If you look at like the rookie class, like they're
getting a lot of contributions.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
From that group.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
Mason Graham, Carson Schwassinger might be the defensive rookie of
the year. Quen John Judkins are really good back for them.
Harold Fannin's a nice weapon. So like they've started that process.
Miles Garrett turns thirty in December. So my question is, like,
based on where you're at and they're rebuild, can you

(18:18):
get good enough fast enough for Miles Garrett to be
a factor with your rebuild team or your rebuilt team.
Let's just say for argument's stake, they draft a quarterback
this year, and then that player becomes what Drake.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
May is now in New England or.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
What Jayden Daniels is in Washington in his second year,
which would be twenty twenty seven, right, So by then
maybe you're ready to compete for a playoff spot. And
Miles Garrett is thirty two, So then you go in
a year after that, now you're ready to really get
aggressive and maybe compete for a championship. Miles Garrett is
thirty three. So like, I just look at this as

(18:55):
like the timelines don't really match up, And I think
if you move Miles Garrett now versus two years from now,
you're gonna get a lot more for him. You could
get two first round picks, you know, multiple Day two picks.
On top of that, I mean, you could really kick
your rebuild into high gear.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
And so like, I just like, look at this situation.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Guys, Miles is a great player, and I look at
it as what's best for the player and what's best
for the team, And I actually think it sort of
matches up now where like maybe the best thing for
everyone involved is for Miles to be traded.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I don't think it's going to happen.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
I don't think the other sign on that. I just
don't think that.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I don't think that's on the radar right now, but
I think it should be because I think.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
This is like the end of the window where you
can get that sort of return for him, And like,
I just i'd be concerned if I were the Browns that, like,
you're gonna be sort of getting closer to the end
with Miles Garrett, when you've got the rebuild where you
want to have it and you're ready to compete.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Again, Your senior NFL reporter, lead content strategist at the MMQB,
we have one last question for you, Like, just in
looking at this, you know, just throwing a random, random
number out here, it's kind of like, yeah, just totally hypothetical,
but do you think at the end of the Penn
State Ohio State game this Saturday, that Ohio State will

(20:20):
have won the game by more than twenty one points
if you had the guess.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
I certainly hope so, because I'll be getting ready for
kickoff and Chestnut Hill at that point. But yeah, I
would take the buck Eyes. And again like that's all.
That's all due respect for to to Gruckenmeyer, who I
think has a chance to to go out there and
make some people look dumb. And there's there's tower in that.

(20:46):
But I would say Ohio State wins this one. And
what is also, by the way that Jim Knowles, but
the revenge game against Jim Knowles, I would go thirty
four to fourteen buck Eyes.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Is that right?

Speaker 8 (21:02):
Yeah? You actually like Penn State covering?

Speaker 9 (21:04):
Then yeah, that's not.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
You know what you know? I love You'll give Penn
State to cover How about that thirty four fourteen?

Speaker 10 (21:11):
Wow, don't do me no charity work. I'm We're good
over here. We're they're going to play their hearts out.
But yeah, but I mean house.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
You guys, but you guys are gonna try to sneak
heart line on the plane going back.

Speaker 10 (21:24):
That's that's well, I don't know about all that, but
I'm just saying, like you might need to be paying
attention to the real game that's taking place versus the
game on the field.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
That's all.

Speaker 10 (21:33):
I don't know that to be certain. I'm just talking,
but you know I do hear a lot of positive
things about heart Line.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
So now that would be good.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
That would be a good hire for you guys.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
So we'll see it.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
By the way, didn't the heart Line open up like
a drive through liquor store in Ohio?

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Most positive stores are popular in Ohio. That was a
revelation for me as an eighteen year old when I
moved there.

Speaker 8 (21:59):
Ye, well, why you can't drink to your twenty one Albert?

Speaker 5 (22:02):
Well, I mean what you were you were in the car,
a what was the revelation?

Speaker 8 (22:08):
You were just looking out the.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
Window Back then, I will say there was probably less
villains vigilance about that stuff in the state of Ohio.

Speaker 8 (22:17):
Had a fake idea.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Yeah, there was some places where you didn't even need one,
you know, where you kind of where you could just
kind of wipe the X on your hand, go to
the bathroom and just wash.

Speaker 7 (22:30):
Albert, you still have a baby face today, like you
probably get carted. Still are you telling me like people
at eighteen looked at you and they're like, oh yeah,
he's above twenty one.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Oh no, I mean like I'm just saying, like back then,
like they would draw an X on your on your
hand if you were between eighteen and twenty one, and
and you just washed that thing right off and you'd
be good.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
To goot force.

Speaker 9 (22:52):
Back then good move, gotcha? Good move?

Speaker 5 (22:54):
I mean, I know, I mean, I can, I can.
The place is gone now, which is a tragedy. But
I mean, I'm sure Brady had been to twos at
some point back in the day.

Speaker 8 (23:06):
That the one doesn't ring a bell, two's no no huh.

Speaker 7 (23:13):
Well, first off, I'm not willing to divulge any of
this information for a couple of reasons, the first being
if there was a place where this sort of activity
went on, I wouldn't want to ruin it for today's kids.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
So well, no, it's gone. Who Two's is gone now?

Speaker 8 (23:27):
So well that place might be.

Speaker 7 (23:29):
But I'm saying there's others out there that I believe
I'm aware of what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Oh well, yeah, I didn't know that existed.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
I didn't think that existed anymore. I would have thought
somebody would have cracked down on that, but maybe not.

Speaker 8 (23:42):
Oh man, that look or for that younger demographic.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
I'm not trying to ruin it for a nineteen year
old out there.

Speaker 9 (23:50):
Interesting.

Speaker 7 (23:51):
Well, well, go Irish, enjoy Notre Dame being in Boston
College this this weekend.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Yeah, all right, appreciate get enjoy it.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
Enjoyed it. We're Irish there.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
He is the great average here with us here on
Fox Sports.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
Was he going like begrudgingly to that game? It feels
like he's being dragged along to it.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
I think it eventually it was his Sun's birthday last
week or something like that, I think, I think.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
And that's what they want to do. As Suns antername fan.

Speaker 9 (24:14):
Apparently you can do a football game.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Taking him and all his friends do a football game.

Speaker 9 (24:18):

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Coming up in about fifteen minutes from now, we are
going to close up shop with the leftovers. That'll be
yours right here on FSR. Congratulations to the city of Tampa.
You are going to get to host the college football
Playoffs National Championship Game at Raymond James Stadium coming up

(25:52):
in January of twenty twenty nine. So congratulations, Tampa, you
are on the list. You're the fourth city to host
the College Football Playoff title game for the second time,
joining Atlanta, New Orleans, and Miami Gardens. So congratulations, Tampa's
going to get a national championship game.

Speaker 10 (26:13):
There coming up in twenty die closer and closer to
a model like the NFL. Huh isn't that. Aren't these
the type of announcements we make for them?

Speaker 7 (26:23):
Yeah, pretty much for the Super Bowl sites. Yeah, right,
And and really you know they don't. Everything's pretty much
in place, very similar to what you're talking about, at
least with the College Football Playoff outside of the home games.
But everything's kind of in place for that next round.
So look, look, here's the thing I'd say about Tampa.

(26:44):
You know, they did such a great job with the
Super Bowl back during COVID. I mean, they deserve a
ton of credit for pulling that thing off when there
are so many things up in the air, there are
so many different, you know, things going on, and they
found a way to make it happen. I was there
that whole week it was it was awesome, Like the
city really did a great job of managing all of it.

(27:06):
And uh, you know, like the college football Playoff will
be lucky because they're going to have in a great
environment in an awesome city. I always love going to Tampa.
So excited, man, I'm excited for the players too. Like
this is one of those things where when you look
at the string of this year that they're down in Miami,
Miami that always always does a great job. But I
think next year is at Las Vegas. Did I read

(27:27):
that right?

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (27:28):
And then Vegas next year, then New Orleans.

Speaker 8 (27:31):
New Orleans. Yeah, which in New Orleans will be a
lot of fun.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
Hopefully they have a head coach at LSU by then,
otherwise the government might be preoccupied.

Speaker 10 (27:38):
The reality is too much money now.

Speaker 8 (27:48):
But but to your point, LeVar, these are starting, these
are starting.

Speaker 7 (27:54):
To feel like like Super Bowl type events and sites
and uh, not to get into the weeds, because there's
a lot going on in college football behind the scenes
in regards to the Score Act and really what's happening
with private equity. But college football is number two to
the NFL, and if you look at how much money
that they're generating. It sits behind you know, Major League Baseball.

(28:17):
It sits behind the NBA, and it shouldn't because it's
viewership is up there with it. So there's a lot
of people who want you know this, you know, basically
this score Act of this idea that they do away
with the conference media rights and allow all these schools
to pull together and you know, all together they're media rights,

(28:39):
which they feel like will net them more money.

Speaker 8 (28:42):
And they're probably right, and it will put them up
there on par with the NFL, or at least close
to it.

Speaker 7 (28:48):
I'll say, now that can't happen for a while, but
there's a lot of things that are happening behind the
scenes to try to get it there. Because college football
is that next big thing that everyone looks at and says,
there's so much potential, but because of how it's structured,
no one can tap into that.

Speaker 10 (29:04):
Yet it's pretty uh, it's it's interesting because it's kind
of exciting, yet it's a tab it's scary, you know,
like that that tapping into it's it's a goal rush
for for college football and and it's some somewhat of

(29:25):
like a renaissance period if it's done correctly because you
can't generate so many opportunities out of it.

Speaker 9 (29:32):
It's almost like.

Speaker 10 (29:33):
You could have a rebirth of what college football represents
all together, just based off of the evolving of the landscape.
So the thing is pretty exciting. I think it's something
that that you can get into. I know, we talked
on and touched on, you know, as this thing continues
to grow and gets bigger to one thing that's connected
to all of this is gambling. And one thing I'm

(29:56):
pretty curious about is how does that evolution continue on
as as the evolution of what's taking place at the
college level. You know, how does all how does that
all mesh or or play together nicely in the same space,
because it just seems as though you're you know, that's

(30:18):
teetering a very very dangerous, almost contradictory type of line
as it applies to college sports.

Speaker 7 (30:26):
I think those are kind of two different subjects though,
right like it is, you know, looking at like what
they allow with student athletes and betting and all. That's
kind of one thing I think in regards to like
what schools are able to generate or the you know,
NCAA is able to generate, you know, you know from
those sorts of sponsorships which really aren't there. Maybe there's
a little bit more there, but like the real money

(30:46):
is behind the TV media, right, It's no different than
it is in the NFL. And I think what's interesting
about the conversation about where college sports are at is
there's a concern for women's sports, there's a concern for
Olympic sports, and there's a concern that outside of a
I don't know, ten twenty schools, it's really hard for
those athletic departments to run a profit and then to
be able to make money and continue to support them.

(31:10):
You know, most of them are running into a deficit
every single year by providing everything that they're providing in
regards to the amount of scholarships and sports that they
provide for student athletes. And then the tough part is,
like think about how many Olympians. We know that like
three fourths of them probably trained at some school to
make the Olympics and represent our country. You know, when

(31:32):
you start looking at like how sports have impacted our economy,
like so many CEOs, you know, so many business executives,
So many people have played sports and then have in
turn used that experience to go be leaders somewhere else.

Speaker 8 (31:44):
And so you know, we've got to be careful as.

Speaker 7 (31:47):
We tread forward how we go about protecting that because
you're still developing young people, both men and women, but
at the same time allowing college football to maximize the
marketability and maximize the amount that they can actually generate.

Speaker 8 (32:02):
And I think there's a world where you can.

Speaker 7 (32:04):
Do both right where college football can you know, start
to not necessarily compete with the NFL, but be that,
you know, right underneath and surpass Major League Baseball and
the NBA because it already has in viewership, it's not
even close. So if you have that, you know, and
you're able to pair that together, you could find a
solution to to help out keeping Olympic sports, keeping their
scholarship opportunities for women's sports as well, and continue to

(32:28):
build from there. But again, it's a longer conversation for
another day.

Speaker 10 (32:31):
It's a fun conversation though, and it's an interesting conversation.
I'm telling you, I think these are the type of
topics we need to start packaging it up and doing
TED talks around the country. Two pros and a cup
of Joe taking on these types of conversations because I listening,
like show the college athletes, I'm pretty gamble, I'm pretty

(32:52):
deep in this this space and know a lot about it.
I'm not even going entertain I'm sitting here putting out
a pitch. Huh No, I don't think there's too many
people that understand it from from Brady's perspective as deeply
as he does as well. I'm telling you, it is
such a vast conversation. It's such an intriguing conversation. The

(33:15):
things that exist surrounding the topic of I'm just say
college football and what resonates from it, you know, worrying
about the things that you just explained, because it is
those dollars that support those efforts. It's just so many,
so many different directions that can go, and to me,
it's like I think it's one of the more intriguing

(33:38):
conversations that actually moves the needle on people paying attention
and wanting to know more how it impacts them from
the school perspective that they support, from kids that are
heading into that direction of playing sports, families that are
heading into that direction directly in sports, what that means

(34:01):
for them. It's constantly changing there's there's constant developments, needing
understanding of how to navigate. Even from the school's perspective,
they're trying to figure these things out as well. The coaches,
they're trying to figure these things out. Everybody's trying to
figure out how to continue and progress forward in a
positive manner in this day and age. It's a big

(34:24):
conversation real quick, though. I know we're up against it.

Speaker 7 (34:27):
I need to ask you guys this Miami, Las Vegas,
New Orleans, Tampa. Which one would you most enjoy winning
a national championship in Vegas?

Speaker 9 (34:38):
Sticks picks in College Vegas. Yeah, you're right, Vegas, because.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
I mean they probably would have had money on those games.
You can just go get your paid out right afterwards,
just walk.

Speaker 8 (34:50):
Around stupid their own games so tough.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Oh, you know, there's a workaround mandal Bays right there.
It's literally hop skipping a jump away. Miami's fun, though.
I do like how.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
You might meet a pilot exels you used to get
boozed up.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Hey, you know what, you know what you don't see boy,
And that list of sites for college football you don't
see Santa Clara, which is nice, you know, like you
don't see Levi Stadium.

Speaker 9 (35:20):
We got to do.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
It's be awful.

Speaker 7 (35:23):
Why do we can I It's gonna be awful. Am
I gonna have to like high step through a bunch
of bums again? Has anyone cleaned up some of the
issues they've got there?

Speaker 9 (35:34):
Oh my god?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Hey remember the Who's the Bar?

Speaker 8 (35:36):
They were literally like remember the old football drills to
warm up going over the bags. That's what it was
like the hotel.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
I do think one of the bartenders in New Orleans
last year told me he's like, hey, man, we're glad
you guys are here. This is the cleanest of the
city is looked in years.

Speaker 10 (35:50):
And it's still smelled like, yeah, I had that smell,
So I think they're dead bodies, trash mice rats like
it's still not. And I'm not trying to like shoot
shade at at New Orleans. I'm just saying, when you
get up at the hour we get up and you smell,
what's really the real smell?

Speaker 9 (36:10):
You know? The ain't nothing cover ended up bad.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
To power wash the bums?

Speaker 9 (36:15):
Oh my gosh, bro.

Speaker 10 (36:18):
That smell was pretty uh what they say the word rancid.

Speaker 8 (36:24):
It was a deep smell of urine.

Speaker 9 (36:26):
Yeah, a heavy mix of weed, Okay.

Speaker 8 (36:30):
Slight trash like hot trash.

Speaker 7 (36:32):
Smell yeah, oh that man, A little bit of moisture
just from the water.

Speaker 8 (36:38):
From the water yea, make it humid.

Speaker 7 (36:42):
Yeah yeah, like if someone farted in a sauna.

Speaker 10 (36:48):
And the bubble hits you right in the face, like
it popped right there, right in the face.

Speaker 9 (36:53):
That is ridiculous.

Speaker 8 (36:55):
That's what it smelled like.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Bubble delivery boor it smells great the homeboo Because Makita

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Time to find out what's left tons Incredible?

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Here's the left Over all right, larray ray, what do
we got?

Speaker 13 (38:18):
We got a messy, messy fridge today, and I'm not
talking about the players or the game. In the MLB
playoffs the Dodgers stadium, people are complaining that Dodgers fans
might be the messiest in all of MLB. Videos are
going viral of the enormous amount of trash that are
left in the stands.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
They don't know if it's a lack of available.

Speaker 13 (38:38):
Trash cans, or are the Dodgers fans.

Speaker 10 (38:40):
Just slobs or might just not want to move like
during the course of a six hour, you know game,
they don't. I don't want to miss anything.

Speaker 8 (38:49):
When do you think they can get the beers?

Speaker 7 (38:52):
So hold on, hold on, hold on, let's apply this
like you're at home now, I wanted to move for
six hours or whatever that that game was. Does that
kind of make you a slob if that's what your
house looks like?

Speaker 10 (39:03):
I just got to be honest. Don't you think that
a lot of people are slobs? Like I don't think
that was actually the direction I was going. Yeah, I
think that it's on par so. Yeah, I mean, I'm
not going to blame you for what you are. It
makes sense to clean up after yourself and to throw

(39:24):
your stuff at the trash, but a lot of people
don't do it.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
I think there's also a sense of I paid this
amount of money for these tickets, I'm.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
Gonna act the way I want to act, and you.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Kind of screw over the people that are cleaning the
stadiums because they're not the one charging the price.

Speaker 10 (39:39):
But they got to get paid to clean the stadiums.
You're giving somebody opportunity to have a job.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Lazy logic doesn't apply here.

Speaker 7 (39:46):
Just and by the way, you know, coming from a
group of guys on a radio show where someone is
charge people for tickets, you know, I think that's that's
an interesting take.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
I think it's interesting as well too.

Speaker 9 (39:58):
Who you charge for tickets? I don't tickets.

Speaker 7 (40:02):
And what I mean if it was me, I would
I would give them for free, you know, maybe run
like a lottery or affle or something.

Speaker 8 (40:07):
You know, that way, they're not paying that much for
the tickets.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 13 (40:12):
Do you do that at movie theaters? Do you leave
your popcorn and your SODA's underneath the seat?

Speaker 8 (40:15):
At the movies?

Speaker 10 (40:16):
I throw them because they have a trash can right
there conveniently as you're leaving. But you do, don't use
you you one hundred percent leave your trash under your
seat at Actually.

Speaker 9 (40:26):
I'm a princess.

Speaker 13 (40:27):
I always pick up after myself.

Speaker 4 (40:28):
What are you talking about.

Speaker 10 (40:29):
I don't believe that. I don't believe you. I believe
you leave your out, you leave your popcorn?

Speaker 13 (40:34):
No, no, I always take it out top of.

Speaker 9 (40:36):
The trash can and you microwave to fill.
