All right.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So we were talking on Monday about this investigation into
Michigan and the thought that Ward Manual, the athletic director
could be on the way out. He decided to defend
himself a little bit because he's heard the rumblings that
his job could be in jeopardy. So Ward Manual, the

(01:50):
athletic director for now of Michigan, was talking with the
Michigan Insights and following, No, he's still there.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
They're still investigating.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I thought he was.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Quote, I love this place.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
My blood, sweat and tears are somewhere in Michigan Stadium
and on the fields of play, and in scham Beckler
Hall and on the track. So if it's up to
me to face the challenges that I face to help
the student athletes, the coaches, the staff to be successful,
then that's the challenges I'm going to face. Nobody said
this job was going to be easy, and whenever I
leave Michigan, whoever steps in here next shouldn't assume Michigan

(02:27):
is easy.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Quote.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I don't need the credit for Michigan's success, but I'm
not going to stand idly by and let people say
all this happened despite ward manual, So you know what,
good for him stand in his ground. I stand in
his ground, and I don't think it's going to make
any difference whatsoever.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
The fact I thought I read that they were letting
him go like that it was already taking place.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
But I guess, well, there's procedures to this, right right.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
So a I reported it, it must have AI is
Jack and everything up man, because I don't know what's
real and what isn't anymore like when I'd be looking around,
but I thought I did see something about that.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I would generally say this. I mean, I think most
thing people think it's a foregone conclusion without the success
that they had winning a national championship in football and basketball.
When you go back to the Connor Stallion stuff, shron More,
we talked about the hockey program, misconduct whatever with that
Jwan Howard Matt Weiss, every put out. I mean, there's

(03:33):
there's some legit stuff, and that's that's just some of
the big items. I think most athletic directors would be
under fire. It would be under scrutiny for this, especially
at a big, blue blood, you know, university that I
hope would expect to have. You know, these issues not arise.

(03:54):
I understand, like when you have thousands of people that
are under the guise of one, you know, coup by
or university, people are gonna make mistakes. But I also
find it odd that when there's people who are in
like the position of president or people who are in
the position of athletic director, they don't realize that even
though they may not have been intricately involved or had

(04:17):
no knowledge of it, it falls under your guys. Like
that's part of the reason why you get compensated. What
you get compensated to be in a leadership position is
you are charged with then having to answer for it
when something below you happens. You know, and it doesn't
matter what it is, like that falls under watch, right

(04:37):
or wrong. I think that's how society looks at it.
So I'm a bit surprised that, you know, he's maybe
surprised that some of the people have spoken out, or
people are leaking stuff out because again, like and I've
told you guys this, I had heard about the stuff
that was happening a mission about, you know, beginning of
the season, as we're getting kicked into it, and it

(05:00):
felt like there was a lot of people who just
wanted to be in denial about it, or maybe because
they backed themselves in the corner with the conter Stiens
discussion and because they won a national championship, there's like nope, nope,
this is just more you know, more hearsay, more people
saying things about schrom Moore because of Michigan and the
truth and reality is, since Jim Harbaugh left, the program

(05:20):
has been on in decline and now Kyle Whittingham he's
gotta have to build this thing back up, which I
think he's good for that, but that's the that's the
issue with it. But anyway, the fact that he's surprised
by any people who are leaguing stuff out or talking
against him, I think it's because everyone sees what's happening
and they have to make a decision. At some point,

(05:41):
they're probably gonna have to move on.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
The Wall Street Journal had a report that came out
that you know, there was knowledge of Sharon Moore and
the staffer that he had the issue with previous to that,
and from the Wall Street Journal, it said one major
warning sign appeared before More even took the sideline for
his first game as a head coach. Two days before
the twenty twenty four season kicked off, Ward Manual raised

(06:07):
concerns with More about the coach's close relationship with his
executive assistant, paigde Shiver. According to the law firm's findings,
I told him I don't remember if we had already discussed,
but that she couldn't accompany and accompany him on trips.
So this report comes out over the weekend, then this
one comes out from the Wall Street Journal. They've already
paid I guess Michigan has already paid eleven million dollars

(06:31):
to a law firm to look into all this stuff.
Ward Manual says he doesn't want to leave. He's got
four years left on his contract. It it feels like
and they've already apparently the ward Manuel also said that
they had come to him and talked about a buyout already, So.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Just feels like he's kind of dug in on this
that he's not.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
And I don't know what his plans are after this
or if you know he's thinking retirement, but it feels
like he's dug in on this and he's just not
going to let them try and stain his reputation on
the way out. But well, I mean, is his reputation stained.
You gotta believe he's I mean, you gotta believe there's
nothing he can do to prevent that stain, whatever size

(07:13):
it may be. He's impacted by this, right, I mean,
as as Q mentioned, the s runs downhill, right, and
and the bottom line is is that there was a
whole lot of stuff going on and it was on
his watch. And it's like one time, it's like you
could get out, you could. A lot of times you can't.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Actually a major college athletics, a place, an institution like Michigan.
One mishap, you don't really get grace, You don't you
don't really get an opportunity to bounce back from it,
like that'll be the end, because it's just that's super big.
Two times it's like, oh, that's the kids of death.

(07:56):
You you might not get a job doing this anywhere
else at this. Three times it's like you know what's up, man,
like what's going on?

Speaker 4 (08:06):
But a couple of national championships mixed in again, and
if that's still not enough for him to have insulation
from this from him ended up losing his job.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
That tells you how egregious it is to have these
types of things be on your resume as a school
and as an administrator. I mean, it just is what
it is. I'm surprised there aren't conversations about the president
of the school because or whatever it is that they
call them the weather, they call it their chancellor or
head of school.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Oh no, it was part of these conversations. He actually,
I think was part of some of the cover up
for the Connor Stean stuff. Okay, from what I've read
that's been reported, I believe he's not there anymore.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
There's okay, well there you go. There you go that
if I'm if I'm the ad, I'm like, I'm like
Nino Brown and New Jack City, Like, look, I'm a
part of c m B. I'm a part of Cash
Money Brothers. But he's the leader, and I point right
at the head of the school. They're the one that's

(09:12):
in charge. I take maya orders from this person, right here,
we work closely together, don't y'all in this on me?
Now we got rid of that that person, we get
a new person in here. Let's clean this thing up
and let's move forward. That's the stance I would take.
That's the posture I would take. You did it? I
just don't.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I mean, it just feels like, if this is what
we know of publicly, there's got to be and Brank
you know, alluded to hearing about stuff, but there's got
to be more that they could drop if they wanted to.
And I just wonder if it's like, all right, you're
willing to walk away now? No, okay, well here's another

(09:53):
leak to the media. Okay, what about now? No, I'm
not ready yet. Okay, well what about this when this happened?

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Now ready? Okay? I mean, we can play this game
and go for as long as we want.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
I just find it hard to believe that Michigan's issues
all happened within the last four or five year stretch.
But if if there's a pattern, the pattern goes back
farther than that.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
But if it's that bad, don't you think they've already
started the process? As Q mentioned, the process has already
been started to fire them. You don't have to step down.
You've already wanted the process to get him up out
of here.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
So if I'm not mistaken, and Jonas correct me if
I'm wrong, President O, No, I think it resigned. He
didn't get fired, but he resigned back in twenty twenty five.
But he took the it was the Florida job maybe
or he was trying to take the Florida job, but
that's he kind of sold the running on the wall
as the president of it Ward Manual obviously. You know,
I think you realize with the basketball squad, maybe you

(10:47):
stand a little bit longer. You can fly under the
radar from some of the shrap. No, that's that's coming
your way because of the success the athletic programs are having,
which is real. But I mean, and look at this.
He's been there ad since twenty sixteen. And I think
for any athletic director and really any coach, especially in

(11:08):
college sports, for you to see what their impact is,
what their culture looks like, it's probably not until year
three or four of a program, right because the majority
of the people and players and things who are there,
it takes a couple of years for that to kind
of pass through, right, Like if it's a roster, those

(11:28):
are a lot of players that the prior coach was
able to recruit, whether it's out of high school or
maybe even a transfer portal unless there's just a big
mass exodust and sometimes that happens, but in today's sport,
but we're talking about an era that predated the transfer portal.
So if you look at like what's happened to Michigan

(11:49):
in the last five years or so, like this has
been all him, Like this has been all about him,
and really since you know COVID, and that's where you
kind of looking and go, all right, it feels like
this thing is spiraling out of control at times, and
the only thing holding it together is the success that
they've had, winning a national championship in football, winning one

(12:11):
in basketball. Outside of that, it's been pretty bad when
you actually look at the stuff that's happening. And again,
I think we tend to sweep those things under the
rug when there's success. But you know, football, I think
they'll be competitive this year. I don't know how good
they'll be. Basketball. You just had to hire one of
your assistants to Dusty May and Mike Boydn Junior to

(12:33):
end up being the guy, which, if we're looking at
the football program, how that worked. Going to shrill more
from Jim Harbaugh, It's probably gonna be a step back,
and I think if that's the case, it probably makes
sense to reset at this point.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Got Jim Harbaugh, good move, man, get the hell out
of there. Go coach in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Nothing happened. Hey, but he's not allowed to coach. He's
not allowed to be.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
A part of college football for how many years? Yeah,
he's got to serve and he's beloved.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Like he comes back as a Michigan man as a player,
and they could be like, hey, ya can hate on
him all he wants you want, but he got us
a national type. Yeah, so Ohio State, what two three
times in a row? Man Horrorball got through to if
anybody pimped the system, like hardcore pimp horrorball, it's like that.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
That does also kind of and I think I forget
who made the point on Monday when we talked about
this story initially.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
But it does.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
It does kind of give you. It's a telltale sign
that man, like we really care about what.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Goes on on the field.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
A lot more than we do what goes on behind
the scenes, because as long as you're winning, like a
lot can be forgiven, like a lot can be forgiven.
They you know, Pete Carroll and usc like he bailed
because he knew what was about to happen. And you know,
I think I think people still think so fondly of
him from his time there, just because he won so
much and he did all the things he did. But

(14:00):
you look at just sort of there was a lot
of issues there as well too, and Harbaugh there's you
come to find out, man, there was a lot of
issues behind the scenes, the Stallion stuff, the quarterbacks coach.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
And whatever he was doing.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
You know that that forced the president out and there
was a civil lawsuit from women because you know, the
guy got a hold of like three thousand different accounts
and so they just like you just see all the name.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
You had something like that going on, too, didn't you.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
No, that's not true. I'm not that technically.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Technically, I can't just hold on hold over, so I
can't throw out a reckless allegation against you, like.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
No, I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't do
that to you. Just making sure just making sure wouldn't happen, which,
by the way, I was working with Petros yesterday.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
And uh, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Brady called me during one of the breaks, so Art
doesn't call me like he refuses to. And Petro said
that he was a little jealous of the fact that
we call each other. We know we talked, that we
talked because apparently to.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
The up top boys, Yeah but you and I that
should be a shirt but two white hands high fiving
up top.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Actually, actually, what what I'd envisioned for this is a
is the the bodies of Tom Cruise and the other
actor and in top gun at the volleyball courts and
then like our faces our heads on as their top gun.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
That's what what I've envisioned for. Yeah, yeah, that's a
good move. I wish I could do it.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Together.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
That works. Percentage chances that ward manual gets fired.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Can I go over a hundred or does it have
to be does it stop at one hundred?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I don't know if it makes any sense to go
over one hundred, but you can if you want.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
I'll go one hundred and a half. That he gets
fired far oh, fired, fired, fired, fired, fired. I'm gonna
go zero percent that he gets fired.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
What do you think he does steps down? Okay, Yeah,
they're going to convince him to step down. They're gonna
put something in front of him that gets them step.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Based on that statement here seems like he's dug in.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, here's the problem. If you resign, you can't sue,
you can't claw back any that those four years. So
maybe they settle.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
That's what I'm telling you. They're going to offer him
something that that he's okay with walking away, because basically
he's gonna he's gonna, he's telling them right now. You
do understand this ruins me. If I have to leave
here based upon what's out there and what has happened,
I have to leave here knowing that I can't. I can't.

(16:39):
I can't recover from.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
This to that point and not that honestly, I mean,
what's happened to Michigan is way worse, like not even
in the same category as comparing to Jim Dressel. But
just look how small of an issue that was. We're
talking about tattoos, right, Like dudes were getting free tattoos
in exchange for what state intures or memorabilia whatever. It

(17:03):
was not only did he have to step down as
the head coach at Ohio State, someone who had won
a national championship, who'd been to multiple national championships during
that span, was bringing back prior to the State of
Ohio for beating Michigan on a consistent basis. But like
even do you recall he had to sit out because

(17:24):
he was consulting or he was part of the Colts
coaching staff. The NFL even made him set out for
a period of time before he could come back and
coach right away.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
He never coached again after Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
No, no, and he and I know he was at
Youngstown State or maybe still be it and worked as
like the president all that. But it's it's crazy to
think though to that point, like these are the sort
of things that can scar your resume forever and even
with the success, and that's how everyone will remember Jim
Tressell was a national championship winning coach. To me, he's

(17:56):
the guy who turned the tide for Ohio State. I
mean again, I grew up during an era where you know,
Lloyd Carr, Michigan they had gotten the best of Ohio State.
Ohio State had equally as if not more talent on
those teams, and somehow, some way, every year, Michigan would
find a way to win. And Jim Trussell got there.

(18:17):
He sat there in Saint John's Arena and made that
announcement that he's going to make the you know, Buckeye
Nation proud. And he did that very first year, beating
Michigan and it started, it started to turn the tide.
But for for everything he did there and everything he's
remembered for, it's crazy to think he never got another opportunity.

(18:38):
He is an incredible coach, incredible man, and all because
of the little things. Now, look, I don't know Ward
Manual as well. From all my interactions with him, he's
a really good guy. I mean, he really is. And
you know, I could I could see someone in his
position being caught off guard by a lot of what
was going on. But that being said, you still have
to account for it like that. That's why you get

(18:59):
paid the big bucks. And that's just the reality of it.
Whether it's right, wrong or different. Again, that's why you
get paid the big bucks. Be in those positions.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yeah, I forgot Tressel took the consultant job. He like
replay review assistant on game days with the Colts, but
still got suspended the first six games of the season.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Right because of that? What are we talking about it?

Speaker 1 (19:20):
By the way, like Harbaugh Gott.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
It's way worse and it's like whatever, hey listen, you know,
go Chargers, Like he's living in a win a bag.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
On the beach.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
If you think about Roger Goodell when he first took
over as commissioner and the stance that he took in
the end, I mean, he really was like the police,
like he was trying his best to get order back
in for the shield. I mean, it didn't matter if
you were a coach, player or whatever like he was.
He was just it was he was over top of
all of that. I mean, that's how ridiculous it was.

(19:54):
Now you look, you know what fifteen you know, almost
twenty years later, not quite the same. They're not quite
the same with some of these issues that.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Are occurring off can I just wonder how many careers
were jeopardized or ruined or short lived because they were
punished for an infraction that you would look at now
and go, wait.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Really like that, that's that's why you got popped.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
But that's the hard part about looking back at is
is it was still against the rules, right, so what
we just we feel different about it because now it's
like NIL is legal. It's like, well, okay, dude, well
let everyone then play by the same rules. I mean,
you look at the SEC now and a lot of
the you know, I don't know if it's if people
who just don't want to recognize the trend that's happened
the last few years since NIL has been legalized. But

(20:37):
you know, the conference with more money tends to be
doing better. And again, people can argue all they want
and say, well, you know, it's just the top few
teams and the SEC buy and large. Okay, well that
hasn't shown itself to be the case in the postseason,
hasn't shown itself to be the case when the SEC
and Big ten play each other. So you could make

(20:59):
those statements, but it's not the reality that we're all
living in. And it can be directly tied to money
and the fact that these schools have more money to
put into the rosters to pay better players. And before
that was happening, if you were doing that under the table,
guess what, you have a lot more competition now. So
I just you know, if we want to go back

(21:21):
and look at that. It's fine, but like still, there
were things that were happening that weren't right, that created
some inequities in the game of college football.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
And well, I'll say this, man, I bet you didn't
impact their tailgates, and I respect that they still had
a great time. And you know what you can too
if you have the right pickup truck. That is, it's
got to be built to do the job without making
a fuss. That's the Nissan Frontier. People built for the
work week and ready to load up for the tailgates

(21:49):
on the weekends. That's the twenty twenty six Nissan Frontier.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Oh yeah, man, so I'm talking about oh top, Yeah,
two white hands, just high five.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
I know that would land.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Oh by the way, it doesn't have to be just
we could do different versions.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Nobody get bothered if you say it two black hands
up top, you say two white hands, people get.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
A little check.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Check your iPhone. Look at all the different emojis.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Well they're yellow.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
There's a lot of pale in there too. We've got
all sorts of options.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
So they somehow found a way of incorporating Jonas's skin tone.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
It is great. I feel represented about time.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
White is paper time.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
But they didn't have that.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
They have different colored band aids, don't they? And the
uh the first aid kid over here. They got tired
of trying to match people's skin color. They was like
it we're going clear.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I do I was gonna say, I do appreciate the
people who are like they're trying to like be nice
and they try to have everyone's skin color, and all
you see some.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Of the colors, You're like, who hell did I get
this one?

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Fun? I want to think of all colorful. You know
it's like a lime green or like highlight er orange.
It's like that way, no one could be upset.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Right, Well, look man, you got to look out for
alienswer Let's go clear.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
You know that's right.

Speaker 3 (23:14):

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Saying it like?

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Jonas Knox of the Air, what do you mean saying it?

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Like?

Speaker 3 (24:40):
What? Whoa?

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Why are you so aggressive towards me? Geez, I don't
know what the problem is. You act like I'm calling
the shots here behind the scenes. You know they're just
playing bangers today. Oh okay, Loreno was playing uh Primus
last hour, Ram Steyn this hour.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Let's go okay, Warrior Dog, I could dig it, by
the way, come it up.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
In about fifteen minutes from now, we are going to
have our midweek awards, the Good.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
The Bad, and the ugly.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
We're going to find out whether or not LeVar has
the good the third week in a row, and whether
or not Patty will be taken to task for that
sheriff sweeka here, So we'll get into that before you

the way, the excitement of the FIFA World Cup is
now streaming live on Fox one, the official English streaming platform.
To catch every unforgettable moment, Fox one brings the action

(25:35):
straight to your screens. You never missed a goal. Download
Fox one and experience the FIFA World Cup live and
speaking of the World Cup, Spain beat France to nothing,
and later on today we will have England versus Argentina.
You noticed I didn't give an update or a score
for the US game yesterday in the World Cup. That's
because they got stomped out by Belgium in Seattle in

(25:57):
front of a bunch of heartbroken people who are run
around with sparklers and new USA gear that they bought.
But if you listen to Balligan, who was the man
of conversation, mini conversation in and around the US's run
to try and capture something other than a final Round

(26:18):
of sixteen appearance at the World Cup, if you listen
to him the way he explains it, you know on
CBS Mornings. Yeah, look, man, he had a feeling that
things were going to go sideways, just based on the
team and the way they handled things.

Speaker 7 (26:32):
My initial reaction was, you know, I was happy to
be back in the team. But when I kind of
started to reflect, I knew it was going to cause
a lot of controversy, and I could almost see within
my teammates a bit of nerves because it was something
that's so unique. But the closer we got to the game,
I tried to just focus as best as I could,

(26:53):
But it was difficult. You know, a lot of outside noise,
and that's that's hard to avoid.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
That's what it was. That's what it was. That's why
they lost.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
No I got it. Yeah, not that you played your
worst possible game at the worst possible time, right, Like,
I mean, one, was there not pressure on the fact
that you guys actually were now you know, in a
sudden dest scenario where you you know, are trying to
get further than any US men's team has ever gotten.
Was that not pressure enough? I mean, the way people

(27:21):
talked about this team, the way the team played, people
had high expectations. So I guess the reality is and
this is what I'm getting. This is part of maybe
the issue with the US men's national team is they
can't handle a bunch of pressure. So don't ever expect
them to go deep into the World Cup because if
they can't handle the outside pressure, regardless of how it

(27:42):
came about, we're never gonna have a chance of winning.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
I just you know, I don't have very much to
say about it because it's soccer. You know, it's soccer.
Like he you know, he felt the controversy coming because
of the rate card. You know, feelings were going to
be high and run running on highs, a lot on
the line, a lot at steak. Let me ask you
guys this, do you feel like the red cart was warranted?

(28:12):
And if the red cart was warranted, then does that
like it seems like to me in a tournament of
such high high stakes, why wouldn't you don't you have
enough control to stay away from getting cards like that

(28:33):
would lead to you getting a red card? Or or
is it? Or is it that some way, somehow, playing
the way that you play has to potentially lead to
you getting carded? That would be the question I would
would be interested in.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
What exactly are you are you asking.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Just in terms of knowing how critical it is the
impact that getting a rig card would have on your team,
Like can't you stay away from getting a red card?
Like stay away from getting personal fouls or stay away
from getting technical fouls? Right, but there are some players
that that's exactly what they do, and that's exactly what

(29:19):
they intend to do, and their roles aren't connected to it.
How would that play out in soccer? Is what I mean?

Speaker 1 (29:25):
So the tough part with this is it really was
like incidental, and so I think most people felt like
the red card, which was brought on more for replay.
I don't believe it was called actually on the field,
was a byproduct of just kind of slowing it down
and officiating the play because they're trying to eliminate you know,

(29:47):
guys spikes they're hitting up on another player's legs. But
in this case, both players were running for the ball.
It wasn't malicious in any way, and I think it
was a little overreach there. So every situation circumstance is different,
I mean, no different than the Harry Kane red car

(30:08):
we talked about before too, or maybe that wasn't a
red car, but it ended up in like a PK.
There are certain elements that they're trying to implement safety
to the sport that maybe it's a bit of overreach
because it can turn the tide of a game, you know,
rather drastically. So I don't know exactly how to answer
your question because I don't think the guy did anything wrong.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Okay, well that's kind of the that's kind of the question.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Because it's not like in targeting, which which is a
bit subjective, but when when you see a player who
goes head hunting. You can you can tell a bit right,
that wasn't this. This wasn't like a guy running over
to go cleat him, or he got shoved to play
before and he was trying to get him back, or
there was like a back and forth. It was just
a ball that was played out that was tight. They're
both trying to get it, and as he reached his

(30:54):
foot out, it hit the guy's leg the way it
hit it. So it's just I don't know, it's it's
I don't know how to answer that question for this
scenario because it doesn't really feel warranted.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Okay, because I think that, you know, if it was
just a style of play issue, then that's you know,
a bigger conversation just about how they operate things. I
think this one clearly it was a bad call. But
the idea that, you know, all of a sudden, there
was this pressure and he just had this feeling that
with all the outside noise that they weren't going to respond.
I would have assumed that they would have given you

(31:25):
momentum that it would have given you all of a sudden,
you know, hey, listen, this is a you know, a
second lease on life, like we've we've got our guy
back and we're ready to go, and we're at home
and there's all this, you know, everything buzzing and building,
and then all of a sudden, the game started and
it was pretty obvious to everybody. They're nowhere close. And

(31:45):
if you've watched any team beyond Belgium, find me one
that they would have been close with. Like, there's just
why can't we just all take a step back and
just realize Soccer's not our thing. It's just not you
know what I mean, it's just not what we do.
We just were not able to do this. You know,

(32:05):
there's certain fast food restaurants who realize, you know, man,
maybe you know, chicken tenders just aren't our thing.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Let's focus on what it is that we do good
and let's.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Just let's just worry about that and leave sushi and
everything else to somebody else.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Like, soccer's is not our thing.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
So Bay, you got to the final round of sixteen,
all right, it's better than not making it and go
from there. But this hole all the outside noise, and
it was this that took place, and that that took place. No,
we're just not good enough to be considered one of
the elites when it comes to all this.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
That's that's fair. Again, I think that's a that's a
larger conversation in terms of what you're doing to become
elite at what you're becoming. If kids in America did
for soccer what they do to become better in basketball
and football, then we would be the best in the

(32:58):
world at playing soccer. I just believe that from the
time you start playing football the time you start playing basketball,
the amount of specialized training that goes into it. If
our elite athletes were to be doing soccer versus football
or basketball to that degree, then I would say, like,

(33:21):
for instance, is anybody better than us in basketball? No,
they've closed the gap, but they're not as good as us.
If we were to play football again, like I said,
they'd be out there playing dodgeball. Linemen would be playing
dodgeball with people, unless we were playing against like you know,
like I don't know, a Japanese team or a Chinese team.

(33:45):
Like if it was sumo wrestlers, that'd be different. You're
not going to play dodgeball with them. I always wonder
why sumo wrestlers don't play football, But that's a whole
nother conversation, but I do not think that there would
be any nation that would be able to stand up
to us in football at all. Wouldn't even be close.
So to me, the reason why that gap is so

(34:08):
large is that the best athletes are specializing and more
focused in on the sports that they're specializing and focused
in on, and it's not soccer. Our best athletes are
not representing our country playing soccer. And I'm sorry because
that may offend some people because it's like, you have

(34:30):
literally professional soccer players. I don't want to sound like
I'm being, you know, kind of just minimizing them and
what their capabilities are, but I'm just saying, if you
stack up the best soccer players for America against our
best athletes in other sports, I don't think that you
have that same, you know, disparity in these these countries

(34:55):
that have the most elite soccer players, their most elite
athletes are playing soccer. From the jump, that's not us,
that's not us, that's not what we're doing. And I
think that that's if that were to ever change, which
it won't, but if that were to ever change, then
we can have a conversation. But it's like you can't
sit there and say, well, why can't we be with

(35:16):
the elites of the elites when our most elite athletes
aren't playing soccer.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
By the way, it's just you know, getting exposed every
four years not that bad, right, Yeah, deal with that.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
So every four years one thing we shouldn't do. We
shouldn't row a standard. No one wants to lower the standard,
just especially just because you get older. That's why m
drive is part of my daily routine. I take it
every morning. Supports healthy testosterone, energy, metabolism, recovery, dealing with
Jonas if you need help with that and go to
mdrive Formen dot com.

Speaker 2 (35:43):

uphold a Wednesday tradition here on this show. He is
the one and only Petros Papadaeikis. He is the co

(36:35):
host of the Petros and Money Show, which you can
hear on the Blowtorch AM five seven e LA Sports,
a Fox College football analyst, and you can get him
on X at the Old p Good morning, Petros.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Good morning, Hello, Hi, hi Ah.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Would you guys like a little peak behind the scenes
as to what the start of the show with Petro
sounds like. Behind the scenes yesterday on the Oh yeah,
it went like this.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Do I have to participate in there?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
No, I just wanted to.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
I just want them to be aware of what and
the listeners to know how how everything has done the
magic behind the scenes of the Petros Money Show. Right
as we're going on the air, Petro says to Zach
the producer, Zach, give me Libyan music, and then the
open hits and away we go. So it was quite

(37:28):
the quite the time there yesterday, Petros and I learned
a lot.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Uh that was it?

Speaker 1 (37:34):
What does Libyan music sound like? Like you think? I
don't have a thought on it. Honestly, I think there
was an accordion, like you think again, did not think
they're being an accordion.

Speaker 8 (37:47):
No, there's a lot of international anger I've learned toward Argentina.
A lot of people are pissed off and Argentina. I
just saw Jamaican Instagram where a woman was like way
being a British flag, the Jamaicans waiving a British flag
saying a.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Tief Argentina teeth teeth never wants a teeth with longbog.
So a lot of people very angry about that.

Speaker 8 (38:18):
I wasn't aware, but yeah, our our friend from Libya,
our friend from Ethiopia, many of our friends internationally at
the radio station very unhappy with Argentina and calling them
cheaters and liars to the people.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah, that's rude.

Speaker 8 (38:35):
Now I don't really understand it, and I don't care. Yeah,
you know, like that was a red card three years ago.
I'm like, okay, whatever, they seem really good.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (38:46):
They might win back to back World Cups first time
since Pele.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Do you have a rooting interest England or Argentina? No,
you had to pick one.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
I don't know. I mean, Argentina's a teeth. I don't know.
I'm not I'm just interested peripherally.

Speaker 8 (39:04):
And and maybe who's going to win. But I don't
have to work today, so I'm in a good mood.
How about that.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
I was yesterday working with Jonas. I mean, just from
your perspective, Jonas is one of my favorite people to
work with.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Thanks, Yeah, Well it's just easy, you know.

Speaker 8 (39:22):
I mean, I got four hours to cover and and
uh it makes it easier because I don't have to
cover all of it like he But he's.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Going to help. Oh yep, he does a good job.
I don't know what I called you guys during this
that point of the show, but I was a little
concerned that he was going to, you know, drive the
car to a ditch at the points and times you
know he's got to do it.

Speaker 8 (39:44):
Well, you know, he does say he does have like
you know, there there are scatological humor.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
I don't appreciate he steers things to this.

Speaker 8 (39:56):
I mean, if you want me to criticize him, Yeah,
he steers things, uh, sexually.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Time and time that I don't want that.

Speaker 8 (40:03):
I don't want to be you know, like if I
want it to be sexual, I will take it there.
If that fruit is ripe, then I will be the
one to pick it.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (40:13):
But you know, I don't want some other, but somebody
else to start talking about it, because then I find
it uncouth.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
That's not true.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
But if I'm talking about it, it's a whole different.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Oh good, Okay.

Speaker 8 (40:23):
So he's a pervert and he's he's into poop fetish
stuff like Codell Beckha definitely hold on.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
No fair In fairness, the only reason I brought it
up is because we mentioned the E forty concert is SeaWorld,
and I said, the lastly, now.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
You're going to do it again, and I don't want
to hear it. Hold a second. I don't want to
hear a second. Who even made you aware of that?

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Jonas Braden t Quinn, that's what the forty Sea World
he put me up on them to that That hard
to figure out.

Speaker 8 (41:00):
It's not, but I figured it out without without Brady's help.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
That I bet you guys can't even name the town
e forties.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
From that one place.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Thank you. I knew, I knew, I knew LeVar. Why
wouldn't we know? What's that supposed to be?

Speaker 3 (41:18):
A chance? Up top? Up top?

Speaker 1 (41:21):
That's Sam because you're white. It's such disgust.

Speaker 8 (41:28):
Forty is a great, a great example of niche regional hip.

Speaker 9 (41:35):
Hop, very true, and I like that. I love that,
I love the we've talked about it. I love Go
Go music because it's regional. I love Screw music, or
at least I used to, because it's regional.

Speaker 8 (41:46):
And high school saw the stuff up in the Bay
Areas the same way.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Okay, So then who was there first forty or UB
forty forty?

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Do you know what a UB forty is?

Speaker 3 (41:59):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (42:00):
So UB forty is a like an unemployment check. It's
a government check in England. So being called UB forty
is like being called welfare, oh wow, or you know,
food stamp or EBT. That's that would be a good
The American cover band that UB forty would be would

(42:20):
be EBT. UB forty is essentially a cover band, but
a really beloved one and actually really really good. But
UB forty has split into two and it's not the same.
If you go see the band that calls themselves UB
forty right now, that's the other brother that's not as

(42:45):
good of a singer and he's butchering their music. That's
the other UB forty. But the UB forty with Ali Campbell,
It'll say UB forty with Ali Campbell is the band
you want to see because Ali Campbell is the white
guy with the voice that you would recognize as UB forty.

(43:07):
They also had a guy Astro who just recently died.
He was like the red red one, you make my
fusel fine, you keep me rocking?

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Yeah, that was a song. That's a black guy.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Oh no, yeah, get out of town.

Speaker 8 (43:22):
No, I thought it was a white guy when I
was a kid. Well you know, I mean, they have
a lot of white guys. But UB forty is like
a A is a band from a rough part of England,
right They all grew up as fans of real reggae music,
Jamaican music, and they're a huge band internationally. I mean

(43:45):
UB forty is a huge deal. Birmingham, England, nineteen seventy eight.
That's a long time that they've been really really, Robin
Campbell is the member now who sucks. Ali Campbell's the
one you want to go see. So that's your and
he's the one that looks like a weird lizard Alley
he didn't.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
Journey had that happen to them too, like like that
they lost their their lead singer.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
Well, Journey is messed up.

Speaker 8 (44:12):
Perry, right, you know, Steve Perry is is you know,
and they've had other guys, but Steve.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
Pe That's what I'm saying. Didn't Steve Perry leave and
then they went away?

Speaker 8 (44:23):
They replaced him? I think the Filipino guy left. He really, Yeah,
but the Philippino.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
You were saying, Steve Perry is a Filipino guy. Now
he's doing well.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
But he is kind of.

Speaker 8 (44:36):
Steve Perry doesn't sing well anymore, sadly, so he lost
his voice. I mean, there's some singers that you go see,
like the guy from The Cure, Robert Smith from The Cure.

Speaker 1 (44:46):
He looks like an old decomposed.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
Cloud, like the d O c right saw at the
Greek Theater.

Speaker 8 (44:56):
No, but the doc was an aard his voice, Yeah, No,
the this guy, the guy from The Cure sounds exactly
the same, and he's he's unbelievable. I mean, the Cure
is a Morrissey sounds great too, and they hate each other.
But the Curer guy sounds exactly the same. Sadly, that's
not what happened to Steve Perry, so they did have
to replace him with a Filipino guy.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Okay, the Cure is great in concert. By the way,
good Man Live first concert ever went to.

Speaker 8 (45:22):
Oh okay, Brady just sent me, Uh, that's a different
that's a British guy who sings a lot of Jamaican
style music. The guy you know, that's he's used in
a lot of memes, you know, when somebody's like I've
eaten oxtail soup for the first time and then they show,
you know, they show like this is what me you

(45:44):
know now, and he's like you effie, you know, and
he's that guy's name is m dot R. That's a
different guy, m dot He is a He has been
booed off the stage by some black crowds.

Speaker 1 (45:59):
Yeah, well but if you heard his voice you can
think that he's not white.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
Yeah, we can't like talking about the dude that be
doing the freestyles on social media and stuff like that.

Speaker 8 (46:09):
What I mean, he's respected enough, like he's a dancehall.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Guy m R. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (46:15):
Yeah, he has a really good session at I often
want one Extra. You ever watch BBC one Extra one
Extra BBC one.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
I'm gonna stay away from that because you don't like
that even though it's our show. Though, you know what
I mean, I can go there.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
He looks like Delante Westcott sober, That's what he looks like.

Speaker 8 (46:36):
Stupid he does. BBC one Extra is the Black BBC.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Yeah, it's the black all right. Yeah, it's like and
it's big.

Speaker 8 (46:44):
It's like Stars Black. You know when you watch Stars Black.
You know they got wa cond on twenty four to seven.
This okay, BBC one Extra is like you know they
do a lot of trap.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
What else they showing Stars Blayeah? Yeah that's BBC Petros
Are you are you comfortable with this Petros? Or or
is there no? Is there no connected to this Petros? Or?

Speaker 1 (47:14):
Weary throw it.

Speaker 3 (47:20):
With the BBC involved?

Speaker 1 (47:22):
Maybe they haven't played Dolomite. I don't know.

Speaker 8 (47:26):
Jungle anyway. Yeah, so very international? Uh to do today
in Argentina or whatever? Where is that game? Oh, Dallas
in Atlanta? No, Atlanta, Mercedes.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Was this in Dallas?

Speaker 3 (47:43):
Yeah, yesterday was in Dallas.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
And then does Philly get the championship? No? New York,
New York. That's right, that's right, New York, New York.
By the way, speaking of Philly, Petros, we were just
talking about the All Star Game. Was kind of a
kind of a bummer, was it?

Speaker 3 (47:57):
I don't know what exactly exactly, Petro.

Speaker 8 (48:03):
I mean, Jonas and I were on the air, right,
but are you talking about it?

Speaker 2 (48:08):
No, not really signing the declaration.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
Jonas acts like he's interested in stuff on what he has.

Speaker 8 (48:17):
To do it because you know he somebody on your
show has to be.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
We thought it was a touch. Oh. No, Brady is
all the way in on. Brady watches every single sporting
event that takes place and not every single no, no,
and connects analysis and inside information to every single one.

Speaker 8 (48:38):
And technically that here's the jobs and generally, thank you, Petro,
what we're tasked with.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
Do just come back to the Golden.

Speaker 8 (48:47):
Dome sometimes, I mean, you know, I mean we all know,
you know, we.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
All Okay, here's what here's here's how I connected the
most recent thing to Notre Dame, which I did feel
like these guys were caught off guard, but it was
very I said, like for all the people who were
out there like cheering for the US, and you know
when they when they took away the red card and

(49:12):
they allowed Flow to come back and play in that game.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
What a moment.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
And they're like, oh, well, it doesn't matter. You know,
we're not getting special treatment. All this kind of stuff,
like go team USA. It shouldn't have been there in
the first place. All this stuff. I said, I don't
want to hear your complaints come college football season, like
when you bitch and moan about Notre Dame getting special treatment,
like you just you're in that category. You can't play
both sides of this is the United States of football.

(49:37):
I'm not saying that. I'm saying people think they get
special treatment. He made it up. If you're gonna make
the argument that you can't make the argument like on
one side and not the other. It's like, all right,
but you can't be for it here and then not
for it here. Just saying it feels like a stretchy.
But it was more to catch them off guard.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
It is the season. Yeah, come on, now it's stretch season. Well,
ether it's off or not, you already sit it. So
you got to take it at face value. You know,
there is a deal with it.

Speaker 8 (50:05):
There's a difference between our time slots, right Like you
know when you do morning radio. There is a certain
amount of what people expect, like this person to have
known what happened the night before and you know, be
able to convey it. I do not have that ability
and am very I have little interest.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
In no one has. No one ever has petros like
breaking news. If you're in this business and you've been
in it long enough, not one person does because you
don't have the bandwidth to be able to watch and no, no,
but you have to act like it. Well hold on,
an actor, hold on.

Speaker 8 (50:44):
Well, all I'm trying to say is when it comes
to the afternoon when we are on, everybody's already had
their take, everybody's already seen everythingreat and now I can
talk about team takeovers and Libbyan music and fund Shine.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
There there are two things LeVar said that that are
literally lies. Okay, fust Off, he is the only person
that has been on a reality TV show and has
in essence kind of acted true or false.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
I was not acting.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Okay, you're on TV.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
You're literally searching for a home.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
Okay, all right. Anyway, I'm just saying, the only one
of us, the only one of us not acting, LeVar
watches go back over the front door and come out
right exactly. Tell me did staging? Hold on? Did you
do it? LeVar?

Speaker 3 (51:37):
It was staged.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
You're acting. It's not acting.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
That's acting. It's not acting.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
I was there to look at the home, and I
happen to know the real estate agent, one of the twins.
He's a big, big Skins fan. I'm now known as
the Commanders.

Speaker 8 (51:54):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
I mean, that's all it was. I wasn't acting. They
just now staging. It was stage. It was age. It
was a stage viewing showing. But it was not acting.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
I was not.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
What's the what's the other one?

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Yeah? The other lie is that he said, no, I
can watch everything. Lavart watches every show on the face
of the planet, on every streaming platform, everything else, like
Game of Thrones, House of Dragon, that's correct, exactly, Like
like Love Island, like that's correct. Keep going down the
line of shows. He watches them all so he can
consume all that. But he's not going to tap into

(52:28):
any other ranch's.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Just watch K I got him caught up on K fair.

Speaker 8 (52:33):
So you're saying that he should maybe be on E
with the with the exclamation point.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
No, I mean no, Well, maybe sounds like it's not
as intensive to watch a TV show then to watch
every single.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
To watch watch World Cup. They score like a goal
or two a game.

Speaker 8 (52:56):
I feel like you guys will be a lot happier
when the World Cup is over.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
It's caught. I'm not unhappy in your show.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
No, I'm not unhappy at all.

Speaker 1 (53:04):
I'm just maybe the show as a whole will be happy.

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Well, maybe you'll be happier when Lebron James finds a team.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
Damn. I mean maybe why.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
I would say I would ask the same question to.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
You, Well, let me ask this.

Speaker 8 (53:18):
I tell you why, because you guys are every time
I've come on in the last three weeks, all you
guys do is argue about the World Cup.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
That's why, Hey, Pat and Lebron.

Speaker 8 (53:27):
I love if Lebron's gonna go out there at forty
and do the awkward run DMC wrap arms. I mean
that's something for us to talk about. I'm very happy
with that did you not like the display that he
made at the JC concert?

Speaker 1 (53:43):
No? Why not?

Speaker 8 (53:45):
Well, I mean we had a conversation about this, and
I don't know, at what point do you have to stop,
you know, being a kid gesticulating when rap is on right,
and you probably get like an extra I mean, not
that I'm some kind of arbiter of what you get
to do if you're a certain race. Although I don't

(54:05):
like it when the white guys have their chains out,
but I don't but and I go around telling kids
in town and tuck their chain.

Speaker 3 (54:13):
But but hey, check homy.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
I have to say that. I mean, I don't I
don't tell people what to do.

Speaker 8 (54:21):
But if you're black, I would say, you probably get
an extra ten years to do the wrap arms and stuff.
But at a certain point, ten years from when, like
when does that clock start?

Speaker 1 (54:34):
Maybe? I don't know. Everybody's different, you know what I.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Mean, like twenty twenty one, twenty one, No.

Speaker 8 (54:40):
Twenty one, I mean twenty one year old's now still
live at home for like another ten years.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
Yeah, they do, you know, so if it starts sing,
if it's thirty, well then he's still twenty one.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
He's forty one, he's over.

Speaker 8 (54:53):
I'd say thirty five if you're black, twenty five if
you're white.

Speaker 3 (54:56):
So he still has time. He's got four.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
Mil's twenty one. I know you shouldn't be doing wacky
wrap arms, but.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
I said the clop starts at thirty fast.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
If you want to do wrap arms.

Speaker 8 (55:07):
If you want to do wrap arms, I mean, you know,
I'm not saying it doesn't just because I said it
doesn't mean it's true. But if you want to do
wrap arms, do them in your chair, you know, I mean,
And it's not just it's not just about reggae.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
What about reggae? I will I will have.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
I have a hard time.

Speaker 8 (55:26):
It shows, you know, because I'm fat and ugly and white,
and you know, do you bob your head? Do you
bob at the waist like you're bob in your head,
but it's a waist bob. Do you leave your hands
in your pockets? You don't want people to look at
you if you start jumping around and acting all stupid.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
I mean, I don't know, man.

Speaker 8 (55:44):
I've always felt I love concerts, but I've always felt
awkward as to what to do at a concert.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
And it's not just dudes, you.

Speaker 8 (55:51):
Know, I mean, Lebron's a good looking, big swol guy,
and he still looks like.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
An idiot doing that.

Speaker 8 (55:56):
Remember Megan Markle dancing around at the at the at
the Sofi, at the Taylor Swift show or something.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
She looked like a complete idiot. Uh, Taylor Swift looks
like an idiot when she danced.

Speaker 8 (56:08):
She looked like a stiff stork when she dances around.
You know, there's a certain point, like you know, I
mean I grew up with mc hammer and Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
Those people could danger.

Speaker 8 (56:17):
They dance hard, you know, Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis,
mister bo Jangles.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
That's a hard dancing era time though.

Speaker 8 (56:28):
But now it's like, I don't need Lebron pointing a
fake gun at me if I and and didn't. Jay
Z wasn't he supposed to be canceled and then all
of a sudden he popped up at the super Bowl
with his kids on his shoulders.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
And moved So it's blue ivy. I forgive him that.

Speaker 3 (56:42):
What he took his drats out too?

Speaker 8 (56:48):
That yeah, somebody said they woke up on Epstein Island
and jay Z was like that real close up picture
of him with his lips and everything.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
Like like right in your face. You see that picture?
Hold on, let me search for this real quick. You
see that real upflows picture. I'm sorry for a pool
side image of Jeffrey with prominent figures. Let's see if
this show. No, it's not that, it's there's a picture

(57:19):
of ja door. He was just with the Clintons.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
By the way.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
By the way, I am not pseudoicide suicidal. I'm very happy.
All right. So if I get killed for saying.

Speaker 3 (57:29):
That, yeah, wait to clarify, all right, good I the pic.
Sure we got that.

Speaker 1 (57:36):
You don't notice that everyone has to state that after
they mentioned the Clinton's names.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
What lovely people, Hey, petros coach that you are most
looking forward to and least looking forward to talking with
at Mountain West Media days.

Speaker 8 (57:56):
Oh well, there's a lot of new teams, or a
couple of new teams.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
Three new teams.

Speaker 3 (58:01):
Who are they?

Speaker 8 (58:02):
North Dakota State, UTEP and n IU football.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
Only North Dakota. That's the one that's in Fargo. That's
where everybody goes and comes out of. And they're really
good pretty much, Okay, that's they're they're green and white
and yellow.

Speaker 8 (58:17):
Yeah, and they play in the Fargo Dome, the Bison,
a lot of big quarterbacks, a lot of people come
through there.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
Actually they do a great job.

Speaker 8 (58:26):
That's the picture I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (58:29):
Yeah, yeah, I can't find that one, Bud. I just
get everywhere too, that one just right in jay Z
up close all right, Yeah, I know you waking up
to that though. And I just I don't need Lebron
pointing a fake gun at me. If I paid a
bunch of money then for Yankee Stadium.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
Yeah, And then you've got.

Speaker 8 (58:49):
That there's a Congress guy in the stands doing like
the hands like.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
Ooh ooh, Like it's like, don't do the rap hands
past forty we can't do.

Speaker 3 (58:58):
What are you supposed to do? Tros? That's a great question,
Like if that's what's the alternative? If you're not going
there to feel that energy supposed I'm not saying you
can't feel the energy, but when you feel the energy,
it's like when you're in church. Right, Like maybe this
is cultural too, because I don't think they do shouting
in like Catholic churches, But I mean if you catch

(59:21):
the spirit, if you catch the spirit in like a
Black church, you know you shout. Yeah, yeah, right, you shout,
you know what I mean. And there's no cutoff age.
It ain't like hey, hey, mother, like you got to
sit down. You're too old to be shouting up in
the church now.

Speaker 8 (59:38):
Now, far be it from me LeVar to wonder or
to uh to assume. Okay, what is in Lebron's heart?
But when I see Lebron usually doing something like he
did at the jay Z.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
Show, it's four tension, it's performative. Okay, I got you.

Speaker 8 (59:55):
And this is the second time this week I've seen
Lebron dancing around to a rap so and waving his
arms around for attention.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Find a team. Are you of the are you the
belief that they are?

Speaker 8 (01:00:15):
But Bronny did like a kid in play dance like
a like a choreograph there.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Oh yeah, that's that's like that's a horse of a
different Yeah, that's TikTok worthy.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Yeah, are you of the belief that they're recruiting him
or he's you know what I'm saying, Like Byron Scott
made it. I mean it sound like I feel very much.
I feel very much.

Speaker 8 (01:00:37):
Like Byron, like like Lebron is trying to make Lebron
happen and they're I mean, he's forty one. What would
you do with him after you bring him in and
make it all about him and he's there for a
year or two. I mean, it takes a certain situation
that you're gonna want to bear or wear the Lebron

(01:01:00):
James Farewell tour wall trying.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
To compete in the NBA at a really high level.

Speaker 8 (01:01:06):
So I mean, I'm sure he'll go somewhere, but it's
I don't think the interest in him is anywhere near
as prevalent as they'd like you to think. And look,
all you have to do right these days in sports,
the best way to figure out if something's true or
not is if ESPN's talking about the WNBA, they're probably lying.

(01:01:27):
And if ESPN's talking about Lebron, they're probably lying. It's
probably the opposite of what they're saying. They're deeply involved
in propaganda.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Yeah, well, I think we're all on that same page.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
Always a good time, enjoy Las Vegas. He is the
co host of the Petros Some Money show, which you
can hear on the blowtorchs AM five seven.

Speaker 8 (01:01:47):
Could you imagine me and LeVar and a rap concert
trying to figure out how to act.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
It would be more fun if we.

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Were at a red looking over like, you know, I'm going.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
To take you to the festival in nine. Now, we're
all of them perform the Marley's and get it in. Yeah,
that's what we mean that the cruise. No, no, they
do the cruise. We're gonna go to nine.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Now. You're talking about some fest time for some fest.

Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
Yet, no, that's a different one. It's like, wow, come on,
it's note now like where he grew up, where Bob
grew up, where he's buried.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
You know, Hope Street and all that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
No, no, no, no, that's yeah in Kingston, in Kingston,
Yeah no, no, no, no, in the road. No no,
you're talking about the music. That's where he lived.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
We gotta go here, but we will talk next week.

Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Uh there we got the music.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
