So I appreciate you guys moving some things around?
Speaker 6 (01:59):
Do you can I ask you this, Do you feel
any sort of way about moving around the state of Michigan.
Speaker 7 (02:07):
I mean, I'm here briefly, I'll be in Ohio probably
by like noon or once.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Do people acknowledge that you're a buck eye moving in
a Spartan or or wolverine place?
Speaker 7 (02:21):
Well, I mean like all my my dad's side of
the family is all from here, so like it's not
I guess it's not unusual for me, you know, ever
since I chose to go to school where I chose
to go to school, it's sort of I mean, all
of them part of my identity and all that. So yeah,
I'm I'm pretty comfortable with Uh, I'm pretty comfortable with
being the black sheep or the black hat or whatever
(02:43):
you want.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
To call it. Me too, Albert, you have like pitt
in your family like that.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
You've missed it. Don't worry about it. You know, we
we stay you know, we stayed there. We stay there anyway.
Speaker 7 (03:00):
I came in, I came in an hour early, so
maybe that's maybe that's a don't worry about it.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, we always things.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
Now, ab I got to ask you because so you're
seeing the Lions today, it feels like they're the most
underdiscussed team in the division. The Packers are getting talked
about because of how the season finished last year post
mic injury and the and the playoff let down, the
Bears and Ben Johnson Caleb Williams love affair. The Vikings
(03:29):
have their quarterback issues, and it feels like and I
don't know if you kind of feel the same way
that Detroit's kind of sliding under the radar, but with
a really, really good roster.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
I would agree with that. Like, I think it's it's
just interesting because I think we we always talk about
teams that are on the way up, and you know,
I think what happens is like a team like that
that was on the way up, on the way up,
on the way up, and then failed to live up
text cations when they got so close to the mountaintop.
(04:03):
Like a lot of times those teams get back burnered.
And I mean the reality is like if you look
at like their contract in the negotiation, they'reroom right now
with Jamir Gibbs and all these guys they've re signed.
I mean, I you know, you're talking about them having
to make some hard decisions now on guys. It's because
they've drafted and developed so well. And you can go
(04:24):
down the list and and and and Joseph's to your point, like,
you know, Jamiir Gibbs is just the latest Amna, Ross
Saint Brown, Jamison Williams. You know, Jared Goff is now
on his second contract in Detroit. Aiden Hutchinson, Jack Campbell,
and I think Brian Branch will eventually get a second contract.
So yeah, there are a lot of good players in
(04:45):
that team, you know. And I think I obviously haven't
been there yet, but like, I think the vibe I've
gotten is a little bit of uh, you know, like
they feel that they feel it's just the way that
you're you're, you're, you're describing, and I think they feel
a little overlooked.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Speaking of just I mean Jimmy Gibbs obviously next up
to get a deal list in the running back market.
Save Flowers just got his deal done and has a
lot of guaranteed money. Man, And I look at guys
like Pooka a Coup, and I look at some of
the other guys out there, I'm thinking, I mean, Save
Flowers has been good. He hasn't had the production that
Pooka and Akua has. No, he also hasn't had the
off the field issue like Pooka and Akua. Jonas can
(05:27):
get into the biting aspect of things, but I want
to focus more on the business of football.
Speaker 7 (05:33):
Your expert on that.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Yeah, well, some.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
People think it's a vampire, so there's a decent chance
he made bute you.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Albert, Albert, I don't know what this means. But Brady
called him. I don't know what it means. Brady called
him the Marv Albert of wide receivers. And I don't
get it. I don't know what they were.
Speaker 7 (05:47):
Yes, yes, well it's good that I guess. It's good
that I'm not in studio, that I'm that I'm only
remote for this show.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Let's let's take it. Let's take a bite out of
the subject and let's get that to what the implications
of the Zay Flowers contract will mean for other wide receivers,
because I feel like based on the total guarantees, based
on average annual salary, I know, it always keeps going
up and up and up, but there's a lot of
receivers that have had more production than him that I
(06:17):
think are looking to say, all right, hold on, seg
I need to reset the market again.
Speaker 7 (06:20):
Then yeah, I mean, I think Brady, it affects guys
at every position, you know, like I think when you
start to see I don't want to I don't want
this to sound to come off come off the wrong way.
But when you take guys kind of the second tier
at his position, I'm that's fair to say about about
day Flowers, right, you know, and and and and he's
(06:41):
getting thirty five million dollars per year. I mean, man,
the dynamics have changed, you know. So now I think
if you're somebody like Puka, you're well within your eyes
to say, well if he's worth that. And Will Anderson
got fifty you know, as a top non quarterback. I mean,
you got Aiden Hutchinson at forty five, and you got
(07:02):
Micah Parsons at forty six, like I should be well
above where Jamar Chase and Jackson Smith and Jacoba and
those guys are because the different forces in the in
the market have driven that price north. So I'm with you,
you know, I and I think this is part of
the cost for the Rams of waiting to this point
(07:25):
of the off season. Now they have a good reason
to do that because of all the off field stuff
and and pooh are going to rehab and everything else.
So you one percent understand why they wait, But you know,
there's also there also can be a price to waiting
even within an off season, not even waiting a year,
waiting two years, even with a even waiting within an
(07:47):
off season can come at a price, And I think
that's that's something that's definitely definitely there and who can
go in negotiation?
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Abe, we got a couple quarterback competitions. I made the
point yesterday, and I looked it up a little bit
more after and really tried to find if there was
a real quarterback competition taking place and that team ended
up having a good season or ended up being a
(08:17):
good team. It's hard, It was hard to find anything
on it. How how should we be measuring engaging whoever
wins in Cleveland or whoever wins it in Minnesota? How
should we be gauging, you know, in terms of what
we believe the success level of those teams will be?
Speaker 7 (08:39):
Yeah, I mean Atlanta too.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
I guess Atlanta, Yeah, Atlanta, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Yeah, And I and I and I think you're probably
I mean I I think what you're probably getting now,
LaVar is like a quarterback competition. It isn't like a
first round pick trying to win the job, right like,
it isn't like the right that. It isn't like a
rookie first round pick trying to win the job. And
these are certainly different this that this way, like in
that way, and like where you know, the two of them,
(09:06):
you know, Atlanta and and and Minnesota. You have a
first round picked for two years ago trying to hang
on and a new guy coming in, and then obviously
Cleveland Cleveland. So I I guess it goes back to
that a whole that old like if you don't if
you have two quarterbacks, you have none thing. But I
can't think of too manywhere a guy came out and
(09:28):
outright one in a completely open competition in camp. I'm
sure it's happened at some point recently, but I just
I can't think of.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
An example Sam Darnold. But you know, I just yeah, But.
Speaker 7 (09:41):
I like, like you're saying two years ago, like Sam,
if you remember, like that didn't really run through camp,
and like Sam would never Sam was never like kind
of knocked off of working with the ones. So I
like maybe two years ago last year he was sort
of entrench as the starter in Seattle. There's just a
(10:01):
lot of examples of it. I think there are a
couple of reasons why. I Number one, like, if you
don't have a clear cut sharter, then obviously are probably
dealing with Westerner players in the position. That's just logical, right.
And then number two. I think there is something to
be said for a team knowing who its quarterback is,
you know, and that quarterback getting a full off season
(10:22):
at work with his teammates. So there are probably a
couple of reasons why he usually doesn't work out, But
it will certainly be interesting to see the way that
all of that's like that.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
You know what, I.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Would say, go back to like the Bill O'Brien Houston teams.
I bet you can find an example or two in
there of one of those teams or two of those
teams going to the playoffs when they had a competition
that camp record to Shan.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Watson got there, okay.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
Albert Breers, Senior NFL reporter, Lead Content Strategies at the MMQB,
joining us here on Fox Sports Radio. Get him on
X at Albert Breer and when you go to your
X account, you're chronicling just your visit. It's through training camps.
During your training camp tour this offseason.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
I know you.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
Stopped off in Denver. How optimistic based on what you
saw that the Broncos can parlay the success they had
last year into more of the same this year because
they do feel like one of those teams that you
look is maybe they take a step back and last
year was a little fluky.
Speaker 7 (11:25):
I mean I I the way I look at them, Jones,
I see them as kind of being rock solid. Like
I that doesn't mean they're overwhelming, because I don't think
they have I mean outside of Patches Dan, I don't
know if they have like a true superstar anywhere on
that roster. But they also don't have any holes, and
(11:46):
they have depths in a lot of key places, Like
they're deep in corner, they're deep with tass rushers, their
offensive lines really solid all the way across. They're deep
with receivers, they're deep with running backs. So like I
get I understand where people might look at them and say, well,
you know what, the AFC was down last year and
they benefited from a lot of the same things New
(12:07):
England benefited from. And I think some of that is true.
I think the flip side of it is like that's
a really well conceived team that has real balance on
the roster, that has real depths on the roster, and
it's really well coached. And so I still think I
think they're a playoff team in the baseline, And how
(12:28):
far do they take it from there.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
We'll see, Albert, I wanted to ask you about tonight's
Hall of Fame game.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Looks like Jeremiah Love won't be at it.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah, I mean we were just talking about it's a
football Thursday for us, buddy, so we're excited. The season
for me, I would say, is officially kicked off. I
know a lot of people don't count preseason, but I'm
not one.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Of those guys. We got football being played. I'm stoked
about it. I amped up.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
I mean, LeVar is trying to get me to take
a cycle of something which I'm gonna hold off on.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
I've got them to drive them good nice.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
But I know Jeremiah is a rookie, and so there's
probably a little bit of a cause for just patience
and caution before you throw him into two meaningless games.
But they didn't put Tyler out year as the number
one running back on the depth chart. I'm not sure
what to make of that. Is there a word of
(13:19):
him not, you know, maybe being as far along as
they had hoped. Is there concerned about some of that
or is it simply just like, hey, we need to
get into the presepts or to the regular season because
he's gonna you know, share a lot of the load
with where we drafted him.
Speaker 7 (13:33):
I mean, look, they're never gonna say this, Okay, Brady,
but it's year one. You don't have your quarterback situation
sorted out. I think like there's a there's a chashit
Admage that like, let's not run this kid, who he
thinks really special. Let's not run his mileage up in
(13:54):
year one, you know, and let's not put the way
to the world on his shoulders in year one because
we're probably not contending for a super Bowl this year,
you know. And again, like they're never gonna say that,
but the reality is they stopped that running back room,
and they have James Connors back, they have Kyler Algier
(14:16):
coming over from Atlanta. Algier was actually a situation just
like this when Jon Robinson was a rookie in Atlanta.
And so like, I think the idea here is like
let's let's use let's, of course, you know, try to
develop our the third overall pick, and let's like use
the third overall pick strategically to try to win games.
(14:39):
But let's not run them into the ground, because I
think ultimately the part of the plan there is Jeremiah
Love can be to whoever the young quarterback is coming
in there next year, what Zeke Elliott was to Dak
Prescott or what Todd Gurley was to Jared Goff In
other words, like he can be such an important piece
of helping to develop your young quarterback and be a
(15:02):
core piece of trying to take advantage of that quarterback
being on a rookie contract. You know, I don't know
that they see a ton of sense and just you know,
trying to get eighteen hundred yards season out of him
in year one. If if it goes that way, it
goes that way. But I think the idea is to
manage him managers work load year one, so they have
(15:25):
have a guy who is at the top of this
team and really rolling.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
In the year two.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Abe.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
My last question is I've been looking at, you know,
just the defensive fronts of the different teams, and the
one that keeps jumping out at me is the New
York Giants. Now they have Thibodeaux coming off of the
bench behind Carter, but you gotta believe in pass passing situations,
They're gonna run a NASCAR set where they put Thibodeaux
(15:52):
in there. They're gonna have Abdual Carter in there. They're
gonna they're gonna pepper that and mix that with Rville Reese.
I know they're playing Reese as a linebacker.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
R Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
And then they had Brian Burns on the other side.
Like this, it's potentially the best defensive group collection of
pass rushers potentially in the National Football League.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
What like is that.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Being talked about right now in terms of in the
circles that that you're in or is it maybe I'm
overstating it.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
A little bit.
Speaker 7 (16:29):
No, I know, I think like that's there and I
think like to some degree LeVar that was there last
year too. I mean, obviously Reese wasn't there, but like
I think there was that feeling that there was a
lot that they would be able to do with the
group that they had, and I I look at like
where the Giants are and I actually think the talent
(16:50):
has been there for a year or two now and
like whether or not they can capitalize on that and
where they're at, like, we'll see. But to me, like
that's been Like I think that's why you bring in
John Harbaugh. And it's not just with those players along
the defensive front, they've got a chance to be really
good in that area. I mean just look across the board,
(17:13):
and you know on the offensive line, you got Andrew Thomas,
and you've got now for instance, now we Noah, you
have molite neighbors. We'll see about him, you know, with
the knee and everything. But like the talents and deniable
you know you have on the defensive side of the ball.
In the secondary, you brought in Paul s Nativo from
from New Orleans, brought in you know, you you have
(17:36):
your hope you get a little bit more out of
Banks now. So look, I always I felt like there
was talent and ability on that roster for a while.
Now it's just going to be a matter of harvesting it.
And I do think that, you know, there's reason for
hope that not only John Harbor, but the staff that
he's put together is gonna be able to bring the
best out of those guys.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
AB before I let you go, best meal you've had
on your training camp tour thus far?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Oh yeah, give us.
Speaker 8 (18:05):
I had good Mexican I was like a like was
called L L T MFO in Houston, which sounds like
not fancy, but it was really really good.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Jonas, what does that?
Speaker 7 (18:19):
I have no clue, Jah know.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
What was awesome was MB post Temperature, isn't it? And
where's uh, where's that at again?
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Manhattan Post?
Speaker 5 (18:31):
MB Post?
Speaker 7 (18:32):
You know MB Post, Matt Manhattan Beach Post.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
I'm not sure that's the that's I'm a Ventura County guy,
so I don't venture out.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Okay, yeah, I didn't know that.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
But but.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Temperature album, that's not a horror. I've been there before.
It's it's a great spot. It's a good spot.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (18:51):
Yeah, So I'm just trying to think of there's anybody
anywhere else to go to.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
You didn't hit deals out bills?
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Yeah, you got to hit bills, man, if you're doing
that's a breakfast, breakfast.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
If you're doing breakfast, Okay, I have I haven't been
the bills.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
Inse it'll suit you for your later, your later evening.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
Ease movement.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
I know about the Strand House. I went to a
good McDonald's outside of Kansas City.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Alright, for you, that's that's underrated these days to say that.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
Good for you.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
These are franchises. Some people take a little bit more pride.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
I'm just kidding. It was terrible, Like oh oh god,
oh hey, the fries were good. I tried to McDonald's
chicken sandwich, which I hadn't had one in a while.
It is like so blatantly trying to be Chick fil A.
I didn't know. I thought it was gonna make an
old school, like, you know, McDonald's chicken sandwich with the
(19:55):
lettuce and tomato and mayo and all that. What I
got was like, it was like a It was like
a chicken chicken patty with like a soggy bun and
like these like really gross pickles.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
Damn, I mean, what are you gonna put them up? Blast?
Like that? Albert?
Speaker 7 (20:15):
It was it was so blatantly trying to be Chick
fil A. It wasn't even.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Well, that's unfortunate.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Imitation is the greatest form of flattering, Albert. I've got
a question for you, man. I know Jonas wants to
get you off there as soon as possible. The Notre
Dame Southern cal rivalry is back. Is that good in
your mind for college football? Are you kind of looking
at those thinking why we have to wait four years?
Speaker 7 (20:41):
Of course? I think it's I mean I don't know, Brady,
You're closer to this one than me, for sure, But
I think it's a ludicrous that they're not playing, Like
I think it's insane that they're not playing. Like to me,
that's what college football is, you know, like the rivalries.
I'd say the rivalries are more important to college football
than maybe almost any other sport that we've got in
(21:03):
this country, you know. And so the fact that like
anybody thought it was a good idea not to play
that game anymore is crazy. And I wish somebody would
step in and say, like, this is stupid, let's just
start playing. How do you feel about it being played
in Week one?
Speaker 5 (21:19):
Nobody. I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
I don't like it either because it's it's literally I basically,
here's what i'd say from the Notre Dame perspective is,
obviously this is what SC wanted in every way.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
You know, they didn't want to play the games, so
then I don't have to.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
And now when they play the game, they get to
play it when they want early in the season instead
of traditionally how it's supposed to be played, right it
was supposed to be, you know, SC would come out
to Notre Dame when the fall leaves would start to
turn sometime in October, which plays at their advantage because
the weather never gets too bad for those games. It's
usually like a hint of fall. And then Notre Dame
(21:56):
goes out at the end of the season where it's
obviously still nice weather for them both sides of it,
but they go to their house to play during Thanksgiving.
So I just it felt like, you know, they basically
got what they wanted in every way, although they'll never
say that. And by the way, who knows if you
know how much things can change between now and when
they play these games, you know, it might not even
(22:17):
be Lincoln Riley, Margus Freeman.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
You know, we don't know what that's going to look like.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I just I call want to touch on that, and
I want to ask you about some comments by Kyle
Woodingham last week at the Big Ten Media Days. He
made a comment about the rivalry with Ohio State, and
he said, you know, there's a lot of respect there,
but there doesn't.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Need to be hatred. Do you do you.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Feel like Ohio State fans would see it the same
way or do you think they look at this rivalry
and say no, there's hatred there, Like you're just trying
to like play nice.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
That's not how this works.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Kills Brady, How do you think how to State fans
feel about that? Do you think they hate Michigan? I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
I'm not saying this in any disrespectful away. The comment
when he said it came off to me was like, Okay,
he doesn't understand.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
I mean, I asked Brycender with this.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Yeah, dude, I said to him, my, go, did you
fully understand the robbery until you played in it? And
he goes, honestly, no, He goes, everyone told me about it.
I knew about it. There was a lot of hype.
And he goes, until I played in it, I understood
what it meant and when you lose one of those games,
what it feels like and everything else. He said, Now
I get it. I'm like, have you shared that with
(23:28):
your coach?
Speaker 3 (23:28):
He's like, oh, you know, he kind of like skirted
the question.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
But the reality is is, I don't think anyone understands
until you get into it, even until you go to
it and you see how the fans interact with one
another and towards one another.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
It's it's not.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
I mean, I like the immediate thing I thought of
was John Cooper and like how like he was the
coach when I was there for the first three years
I was there, and like I felt like he was
chasing things that he had said his entire time there,
you know what I mean, Like, and it was they
were always changing the way they approached it, Like one
year all the focus would be on it, the next year,
(24:05):
like they were trust treating it like another game and
it and it was like this fundamental like and I
think John Cooper was a really good coach, but like
there was this fundamental like he could never fully wrap
his arms around a philosophy for approaching the game. And
I think that that created a problem within the program
where they the players almost didn't know how to approach
(24:26):
it and would get overwhelmed in the moment. So I
thought the exact same thing Brady. I when when I
when I saw that comment, it was just immediately like,
if this guy doesn't win, Like if this guy does
not win the first like as what, everyone's immediately going
to go back to, Ye, it's going to be chasing
that And that's the thing, you know what I mean,
(24:47):
Like it's like when you say something like that, it's like, okay,
like that's fine, and like I understand what you're trying
to do here, but like these sorts of things like
it's unique in that way too, and that like people
aren't going to forget that. He saw it, said that,
He said that, And you get to November and you
know you're in Columbus, Ohio and it's it's forty five
(25:10):
to five, forty five to seven or something like. That's
what everyone's going to be thinking about. That's what Joel
Clatt and Gus Johnson are gonna be talking about on
the broadcast, and it'd be something that would help follow
him for an entire year after that. So and I
even do you guys see Urban's reaction?
Speaker 5 (25:26):
No, yeah, I didn't see it.
Speaker 7 (25:29):
He had some fun on Twitter. He just started retweeting
a couple of things, and yeah, that was good.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Good. That's when we need little red ass. We need
some of that going on here.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
And guy right, yeah, yeah, all right, ab we appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
Enjoy Lions camp and we'll talk next week. All right,
thanks guys. There he is the great.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
Alber Breer, Senior NFL reporter, Lead Content strategies at the
MMQB can get him on X at Albert Brier. Good
follow especially during his training camp tour. He's got stuff
on every team he goes and sees so again at
Albert Breer coming up next here, though, somebody's doing their
best to try and keep it alive in the world
of sports.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
It is a very consider it A Goo Pros and
a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas Knox with you come it up in about fifteen
minutes from now, we are going to have another edition
of In case you missed it. That's going to be
yours right here on FSR. All right, so we got
a little bit of an update. Not much, but it's
(27:20):
a little bit of an update. Aaron Donald had a
tryout with the Rams yesterday. Even though he was not
in pads, he wanted to wear a helmet. Thus the
Rams had to inform the league because he used their equipment,
so it showed up on the transaction wire as a
(27:40):
tryout for Aaron Donald. It's like, we're getting to the
point where somebody make a move here, Like what's happening?
Can we get like maybe he's got to hire an
agent to do some whiteboard breakdown and that way we
can add a new twist on this whole thing. But
it just feels like a foregone conclusion. He's there, he's
(28:03):
trying out. It's got to be in the equipment. I'm
not sure what else is really the hold up? Maybe finance,
I don't I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Hold up, bro, They're just they're just just easing through
the process, and then they'll announce it. When they're ready
to announce it. They already know he's coming back. Spoiler alert,
hate to hate to give y'all the ending of this story.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
He's coming back.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
So you don't think that there's anything to No, he
just wants to see how his body feels with a
helmet on.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
No sounds good.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Isn't that what defensive guys do?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Yeah, and he could have done that one hundred time.
You know how many helmets that man has in his house.
That's gonna say how many?
Speaker 5 (28:49):
Uh, probably quite a few.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
I mean their culture is a little different than ours, right,
Like we got helmets from one another at Pro Bowls.
They get jersey's helms like they they exchange everything.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
They give jockstrap.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
They give whole outfits these days, like just get button
naked on the field.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
Take the whole outfit like you, my boy.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
They walked back to the They walk back to to
the locker room with a towel on these days. They
don't have nothing. He got enough helmets in his in
his house. This isn't about him filling it out with
a helmet on. This is about him going through He's
a very processed, oriented, driven dude. I know the dude
who like I know two of the guys that got
(29:31):
him going. And I've had conversations with coach Graham and
a guy that used to play ball. He might he well,
he's he's my age Coach Gibson. Demon Gibson, who played
for Pitt, played at the same high school. As as
why am I blanket on Aaron with Aaron Donald? Where
he went Penn Hills, And the things that they talk
(29:53):
about when they speak on him is how process oriented
he is, how maybe people have seen some of the
clips on him on how he talks to himself and
he talks himself up. He's very much like that in
everything that he does. From the accounts given, he's very
very in terms of how he goes through his process.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
He'll he'll like what it sounds like when he's talking
to himself.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
Come on, a come on, a D. Come on a D. Violent,
be violent, be valent, under control though controlled aggression, control aggression.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Come on, come on, a D. Be great today. Let's
be great today. Let's be great. Like somebody in trouble
to like, just know somebody, somebody's going to be in trouble,
but He's the.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Type of dude that if he feels.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Confident about the process, which, by the way, he already
feels comfortable with it, I'll say that confidently. It's just
a matter of I think it's a matter of him
easing himself into it, because I think the biggest thing
is because he's so process oriented and he's very, very
(31:08):
like cerebral in the way that he approaches what he does,
I think he has to convince himself that it's okay,
to convince his household that he's going to go through
an entire football season. That's to me, that's going to
be the biggest That's the biggest thing he's probably had
to navigate.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
You don't think they've already had that conversation.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Yes, numerous times. And let me tell you something, knowing
a kid from Penhills, Pennsylvania getting an opportunity to go
make another couple million dollars to go play, and you
already have a Hall of Fame career, you're already considered
one of the greatest, if not greatest interior defensive lineman
(31:51):
defensive lineman ever in the history of the game. I'm
certain she's sitting there and she's saying, go get that money, baby.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
Because I did see there was a a story that
came out that he's already lined up future media endeavors
that that's he's been in the process of that as
well too, And so I wonder if the boys get him, like,
that'd be awesome. Yeah, that'd be uh yeah, do do
weekend show? Why not start off? Start off that way
(32:19):
and then uh, you know, work your way up.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
See that. I don't think he has to work his
way up, shafty, It's un.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
I'm just saying that. Did he end up pulling him in?
Speaker 5 (32:30):
He did him? But yeah I did. He's got a
uh you know, get him.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
I don't know, man, Like, we'll find out during the
football schedule when it comes out. Big Mike sends that
that weekend schedule out every every third.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
That's true, that's actually we'll find out from Big Mic.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
Yeah. I mean, did he do media while he was
in the league. No, he does speak very well. Yeah,
I mean he speaks well, he handles himself. He's like
he's like a grown ass man. Bro. He's like the
type of road that everybody will want.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
You know, stuff you had a lockers on us, you
say a bad word, he'll stuff.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
I would never he went to my nephews.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
He went to my nephew's elementary school when they were
out in Thousand Oaks. And super nice guy, but real intense.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Yeah, really you're looking.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Like a beer in the face or something like that.
I met him one time. I was like, you look,
I should have and his chain was just as intense
as he was. You know, it's like, what's up penn Hills?
He looked at me. I don't even think he knew
who I was. Probably not, Yeah, so I'm just kidding.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
No, I don't.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
I don't think I wasn't joking. I don't think he
knew who I was. Wouldn't he? I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
Look for sure, it depends. I just hit him with
a quick what's up? Though, Like, what's up Penhills? Penhills?
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Is you just what to do?
Speaker 2 (33:52):
So?
Speaker 3 (33:52):
What up?
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Penhills is sixteen miles from North Hills? Like what are
we talking about here? Penhills is only sixteen miles.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
My family, my whole family lives in that area. We
are the only ones that lived in North Hills, which
is ross township.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
We moved out.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
We were like the Jefferson's my dad got that check
and we was out. We rolled out, got a house.
He bought that bitch. I you don't have to dump
that bat. I have noticed a trend though, what's the trend?
JJ Watt took over for Tony Romo, Aaron Donald's lining
(34:31):
up immediately. Aaron Donald has the type of vocabulary range and.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
Mike Tomlin's taken over.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Are starting to take over.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Yeah, not just defenders, hell yeah, hey man, I just
would need to see Aaron Donald show us some some
real personality, and I bet you he has it. I'm
sure he has it because because J. J. Watt shows
a ton of personality. You know, he's almost like actor
(35:04):
like now, like he almost seems like like, wait, he's
faking it. No, I don't think he's faking it. He
just has that actor he has he did on Hard Knocks.
He has like that actor's aura. No easy now, god
like the way the way he kind of like, you know,
oh yeah, yeah, it's kind of he's got it down.
Speaker 5 (35:26):
He's got it down. I ain't gonna lie to you.
Got it down.
Speaker 6 (35:30):
Got a kind of a presidential vibe to him, a
politician to him.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
It's it's it's more real than politician. It's more real
than politician. But it's along the lines of I could
see him being in a movie, like I could see
him like almost like a rock.
Speaker 6 (35:45):
See, that's why Tony Romo is more relatable, you know, like, uh,
jj Watt would never get pulled.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Maybe you're prepared, maybe you're not, like, but jj Watt
would never get wrong.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
He would never get pulled over and use the dead
grandparents alibi. He'd never have a road soda in the car,
he'd never need to do strug And.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
That is some normal dude type stuff though, man, normal
guy man of the people.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
Because you know the extra dudes.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
They had the security widow, they have security detailed. Finally,
they have a little car caravan of all the things
that Pete Prisco is willing to go out on a
limb on the Tony Romo stuff he wanted no part of,
Like he'll riff anybody's career in half.
Speaker 6 (36:25):
Doesn't matter who it is. Anybody can get it, except
the Tony Romo stuff.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
I can tell you why that was so oh trouble
for saying this.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Okay, when he first got there, there was essentially a
word that like we if you worked at CBS all
needed to be super excited about the signing, like everyone
needed to be like real excited and real, you know,
and especially when he signed a long term deal. So
(36:59):
it was I don't want to say like a corporate mandate,
but there was definitely a message sent down where you
were not to say anything critical, whether you like this
call or not, or make fun of you know whatever, Jim, Like,
it was that serious. I swear to you, like I
was why. I don't know, but I just remember being
(37:22):
at a Super Bowl event and we were there with
a bunch of sponsors and I was there with another
gentleman who I'm not going to say who, and this
this gentleman he looked at me and we and we
obviously were pretty close, and he looked at me and
he was like, dude.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
And I was like, I know.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
I was like, I feel like you're handcuffed right now,
you know, because people are going to ask you what
your honest opinion is and you're gonna have to lie
to them. And so I think I ended up pulling
a fallacy and pleated the fifth like we because we
of course ended up getting pulled up and we had
to like base answer a bunch of questions talk about
that Super Bowl, and I think someone had asked.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Oh, what you're you know, what do you think of this?
I was like, yeah, you know, it's like everyone's got.
Speaker 10 (38:02):
Their own unique sound and just how they go about
portraying the game. And I said that sound is just
you know, it's you know, everyone's different, you know, And
I just kind of went on this long. It's just
it was it was like one of those answers you
give if you're a coach and you're being asked something
by the media that you don't want to answer, so
you talk so long, like you filibuster, and then they're like,
(38:23):
what did I ask him in the first place? I
basically did that, and uh, it was like and I
just started dying laughing, looking at my buddy next to me,
and then he kind of gave a little more PC
answer and we just moved on. But they're telling you
there everyone was scared out of their mind of anyone
from CBS coming down on them. And I promise you
(38:45):
they've been told this is a sensitive subject, don't talk
about it.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
So Frisco's got trauma from the initial request.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Hey, you know what else is sensitive? Talking about a pickup?
Truck that doesn't pick up. Well, we don't have that
problem because we're talking about the nis On Frontier.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
That's right. It's built for the.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
Work week and I'm ready to load up the tailgate
on the weekends. That's the twenty twenty six Nissan Frontier.
Oh yeah, Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox
Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you
coming up next. It's another edition of In Case you
missed it right here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
What Oh you couldn't even name the band? Can you push? No?
I know, Jonas could.
Speaker 9 (39:38):
No?
Speaker 5 (39:38):
This not me right here?
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Oh, it's a great song.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
Spanky's in there, uh doing whatever he's doing.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
It's it's like, uh, oh, yeah, I know this song is.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Taking me off.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
By the way.
Speaker 4 (39:58):
The hook the hook is good? Does would the guy?
I wouldn't have made it to the hook?
Speaker 6 (40:02):
This band played it the Ventura County Fair last week.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
See it now, Yeah, I know the hook. I like
the hook.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Well, I can't play it right at the hook, can't
let a build up.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Now with you, I would have been out on the
first part of the build out.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
You would have never you wou'd have never got through
glistening then, because that's a really slow building song.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Yeah, well that's I was telling somebody the other day, like,
you got to get right to it. These days, these
kids these days have zero attention span. Their song had
I don't want to get into that. I don't even
want to get.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
In there like two minutes.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Someone asked me though, They're like, hey, what's the last
This had to be CD, but what was the last.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
Album you listened to where you could listen just play.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
It the whole.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
I think Spotify has made it easier for artists to
become one hit wonders because all they do is basically
launch one or two songs and you go look on
their Spotify page or whatever they're you know we're talking about,
and it's like they've had all listens to like one
or two songs.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
The rest of their music stinks. It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
Yeah, songs used to be like ten minutes long, but
like Isaac Hayes Parliament. You know, you know, like the
you know, the Temptations. They used to have songs. Their
intro was longer than songs are today. The intro, just
(41:25):
the intro.
Speaker 11 (41:25):
Doom doom, don't doom, doom, doom, doom, doing them them,
doing them, don't doom.
Speaker 5 (41:38):
And then they go for like five minutes.
Speaker 6 (41:41):
Yeah, I don't even know where we're going with this
stairway that happens like nine minutes long November.
Speaker 5 (41:47):
It was long.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
They used to be long songs and they were and
it was music. It was real music, you know. But anyway,
that was a good song. Yeah, I'll say I'll retrack
like I wouldn't have known it was you know, I
wouldn't have known they were bushing.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
But last week just played at Ventura County Fair. Is
that right? Yeah? Okay, right up there, there's always a fair.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
I wish those bands would do.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Like I was looking through Lollapalooza because I was in
Chicago for Big ten Media Days.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
I didn't see many bands like that.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
I think actually Smashing Pumpkins might have played early in
the week Pumpkins.
Speaker 6 (42:20):
And I think that's probably the only reason they played.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
I know, but I looked at the rest of the setlists.
I'm going, who are they listening to now? Is this
is all DJMA and go to side Fest. We gotta
go to SunFest just to.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Listen to reggae all day?
Speaker 5 (42:36):
Why do you say that? What am I to keep
saying that?
Speaker 2 (42:41):
What am I?
Speaker 3 (42:42):
What do you that?
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Yes, reggae, absolutely reggae, like it's all like bushes going
down to Jamaica for a concert.
Speaker 4 (42:51):
No, they wouldn't. But uh like, uh, what's their names? Uh? Man,
they're from DC too, they're Jamaica. They play reggae music,
but they're white and they're really good.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
It's really good. I can't I can't think of that. Yeah,
I can't think of their names. They play reggae.
Speaker 4 (43:15):
It's like Rusted or like something rose or something. I
forget what they're called anyway.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
I mean Sublime could be in that category.
Speaker 5 (43:25):
It Sublime. No, it's not. It's not sublime. Uh Soldier, No,
that ain't.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Is that the guy sent you?
Speaker 5 (43:38):
It could be what's the mushroom Dude?
Speaker 7 (43:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (43:42):
That send John Atwood. He would o whoa Shimming a Limited?
Speaker 4 (43:49):
And it was the mushroom Dude from Marigo Brothers. I'm
no bad boy no kuana because I'm dangerous anyway.
Speaker 6 (44:04):
Yeah to that's right, Tuddy man, you're gonna you're gonna
find out music of the nineties tough to beat people
are gonna find out. I think they're starting to start
to figure that all out, that it's just not and
nowadays you don't know whether or not it's AI or
an actual artist.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
Well that's true too, So there's that whole problem.
Speaker 6 (44:22):
But it is two pros and a cup of joe.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas
knocks with you. We are gonna take you live all
the way up until the end of this hour nine
am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. It is a blind
and if you're listening on the podcast, we appreciate you.
Slightly stupid, that's it. That's who they are, and they're
pretty good too. Slightly stupid.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Yeah there's another one though, there's another one out there,
but they're slightly good too.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
You ever hear them? No tribal seeds, tribal seeds. It's
just gonna say that they got some really good music.
Why white dudes, why do you are so surprised you
hear I say, jab man, Yeah, you're the reason why
I'm surprised, all right, Sorry to bring the whole the
whole race down.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
Yeah, it comes to yeah, you devalue, they're they're rapit.
Speaker 3 (45:13):
I've brought everybody down.
Speaker 5 (45:14):
Yes you did.
Speaker 4 (45:16):
Sorry, good though, well speaking of who's going to be
happy about what you're about to do? Though, we don't
get it very often, but we got it now.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 6 (45:29):
The Indianapolis Colts and star running back Jonathan Taylor have
agreed to terms on a big time two year, forty
four million dollar extension. According to Ian Rappaport and Adam Schefter,
forty seven million dollars is the max. With thirty nine
million dollars guaranteed, he has a total value of sixty
(45:53):
million dollars. It averages nineteen million per year over the
entirety of the deal. So he You know, we saw
the Bjon Robinson contract get done, and now Jonathan.
Speaker 5 (46:05):
Taylor reeps for a couple of years as.
Speaker 6 (46:08):
Somewhere Pete Prisco is kicking something in his hotel room
or whatever training camp toy's on because another running back
just got rewarded with a whole bunch of cash.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
You know, it's wild.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I mean, it feels like Jonathan Taylor's been in the
NFL for like a decade and he got into the
NFL early from Wisconsin. It'll only be a seventh year,
but this is huge for him in the sense of
a couple of things. The first is it's enticing to
all those running backs who are at the college level too.
You can get you know, a number of deals from
(46:41):
your rookie deal to a second contract and maybe another
extension from that if you're able to prove yourself. Very
similar to Jonathan Taylor, who burst on the scene over
a thousand yards his rookie year and then was able
to lead the league in rushing in year two. So
he's had some issues though staying healthy, and I think
that's where last season was so important for him. You know,
led the league in rushing touchdowns, led the league in
(47:04):
attempts I believe too, and rushed for over fifteen hundred yards.
So he was able to prove that he was able
to still healthy for all seventeen games. Kind of had
this payday on the horizon for him. And he's an
integral part of their team. I mean, he completely makes
that offense work, whether it's Daniel Jones or anyone else.
When he's able to toe the rock, they're a different
animal to deal with offensively speaking, So happy for him.
(47:27):
He's a tremendous guy, good young man. For anyone who's
ever talked to him, dealt with him, he's an awesome dude.
And I know Pete Prisco won't be happy about it,
but I think in other ways he'll admit that, you know,
you pay a guy like this who's proven to be productive.
And on top of that, it's a two year deal,
so it's not like you're handcuffing yourself to you know,
(47:49):
five more years, and of you know, a bunch of
guarantees and it's essentially almost a fully guaranteed deal, which
again is awesome for him, awesome for his agency too
to be able to negotiate something.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
Like that when he's healthy. See, he's as good as
any of them out there. And at one point, at
one point he was in the conversation for a best
running back in the league for certain.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
Yeah, so yeah, yeah, I was gonna say it's funny
though he entered the league into a time where I
don't know that we'll see that again.
Speaker 3 (48:20):
I mean Jeremiah Love obviously entered after three years. We
we kind of saw that with him.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Different style of back though you know, his he kind
of touched on, you know, kind of the air back
dal and a guy who can split out, play wide
receiver do a bunch of different things. I mean, Jonathan
Taylor is a you know, coming out of Wisconsin between
the tackles kind of you know, one one step get
downhill north north south runner.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
And the passing game element to his game has.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
Evolved, but it wasn't you know, that wasn't one of
the big highlights necessarily coming out of college. But he's
definitely been able to continue to get better and better
and better at that. But the reason why I bring
this up is, you know, those running backs can pay
a decent amount now in college stay for nil. Like
if you were a top running back and you you know,
(49:05):
like produced at lower levels, you can get paid a
million bucks, you can get paid a couple of million bucks.
And so given that the way that running back position
is viewed for the draft, you know, this year was
a rare year. We had two guys drafted in the
first round. It just doesn't happen very often. So if
that's the case. Like some of these guys are saying, yeah,
I'll go ahead and exhaust all my eligibility in college
(49:28):
because I can make seven figures and I can and
they'll still take care of me because they got to
play all of them. You know, even the Penn State
running backs, like they're going to share reps right in
part because at the college level they're very cognizant of
not wanting to take too much tread off the tire
before they get to the NFL.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
And they're pitching that to these kids like, hey, you're
all going to play.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I mean, even last year there was a freshman in
Notre Dame, a nice Williams who a niece Williams who
was who was mixing in as a freshman. When you
have Jeremiah Love and Genarian Price, who are two first
round picks on your ross are playing, so it's it's
a different world now. And I don't know that we'll
see a guy like Jonathan Taylor, who is a true
(50:09):
in between the tackles back coming out of college that
ran the football a good amount for the time he
was there.
Speaker 3 (50:15):
You know, leave and get in early.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Like I think they're getting compensated enough now where it's
valued at the college level, and they're getting there, they're
they're make sure they're taking care of them too.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
You mentioned the workload nine hundred and twenty six carries
at Wisconsin in three years.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
And I think a lot.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
I think only herschel Walker has more during a three
year stretch at nine ninety four.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
Wow, during a three years well, and think about this,
I mean herschel Walker obviously played less games per year then,
but go back to what was he playing twelve games
a year and.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Maybe in a even you know, Bowl game or Big
Ten championship. I don't know if they made there.
Speaker 6 (50:51):
Maybe once played forty one games, yeah, I mean somewhere.
And tear Man, well, I think about it.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
So they're grabbing about three hundred carries per year at
the college level. He's only done that three times in
his NFL career, and you're playing seventeen games now something
it's been health related, but you can get my point, like,
when he's played seventeen games, he's been over that.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
I mean, I guess twenty twenty four he had a
bunch of carries too, and in less games.
Speaker 5 (51:18):
But it's wild good for him. He's uh he's getting
getting the payday, and congratulations on your massive extension. Damn right,
good for you, big for the ten big.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Now Wisconsin just keeps producing. They take it away and
they give it reward their own. But if you ain't
wanted their own, they're going they're gonna get you.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
What do you mean?
Speaker 6 (51:42):
Huh?
Speaker 5 (51:42):
Who are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (51:43):
I'm just saying you better do it right. If you
ain't from there, I bet you I J. J. Wattead
got pulled over, we would have never knew about it. Oh,
it's a good point, all right. I'm just saying Jonathan Taylor.
I bet you if Jonathan Taylor got pulled over, he
wouldn't have got no IWO or whatever O w I
w I whatever, yeah, nWo wwf whatever it is it
(52:05):
top rope Tony Romodig.
Speaker 5 (52:14):
Now the Hall of Fame game is coming up later on.
We mentioned that earlier.
Speaker 6 (52:18):
There's a bunch of for those that are interested, the
the two picks that have been made here on this show.
Kenny Pickett under ten yards on his first pass completed pass,
and then LeVar said the first completed pass would be
a long bomb, so over twenty I believe I'm taking
over twenty. All right, So that is the uh let's
see gutsy pick we've got on the Hall of Fame
(52:39):
game coming up later on. Also, we kind of briefly
mentioned this as well too, But Puka Nakua has taken
a different approach to things. Yeah, he's he's he's decided,
you know what, I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna
start looking around and really get to work on this
(53:04):
new contract that I'd like to receive following the Zay
Flowers extension that went down. And so Puka de Kua,
he's entering the final year of his four year deal.
He has hired Win Sports Group to represent him in
contract negotiations. So have fun with that Win Sports Group
(53:24):
when the Rams say, oh, you want that much guaranteed,
and they slide a picture across the table of somebody
eating another human being and say that's the guy you're
trying to get that record money for. So I don't
know what sort of negotiations this is going to turn into,
but I feel like the Rams have a case to
be made that they can't necessarily trust this guy off
(53:45):
the field at this point in time.
Speaker 4 (53:47):
Maybe you should come back to us later with some
of these demands, well they could be the rams. But
if you look at it this way, if he gets
a Frontier, at least it'll be able to handle his bites,
you know, because he scratches, you know, a little bit
of money is why you want a knis On front tier.
They're tough, they can they can handle the teeth, y'all.
So make sure you check out that twenty twenty six
(54:07):
neats On Frontier. It's built for the work week and
it gets you ready for the weekend. So yeah, go
check out that twenty twenty six Nissan Frontier.
Speaker 5 (54:16):
All right, let me ask you one.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
One quick note.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
So you did say when when Sports Group has their
handsfulls Away said they're Jonahs Stang. Well, you know the
Patrick White soil and when Sports did say Flowers deal.
So they'll be using that as you know, a base
case for Hey, if this is what Zay Flowers is
getting a look at the production of Pooka and Akua,
you know, all biting aside. You know, this is what
we feel like he's capable of doing. So he needs
(54:41):
to be paid more. And yes, we'll put in a
bite clause or something else contract for him only be
able to shoe or bite certain things, mostly food, hopefully
so that all those things are negotiable.
Speaker 5 (54:51):
Well okay, but if I was less sneat, I would simply.
Speaker 6 (54:54):
Say, yeah, Well, the reason we gave Zay Flowers the
contract is because he doesn't try to eat people and
Pukakua does.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
So say, okay, we'll put in an eating people claws.
If he eats someone again, it'll avoid all us guarantees.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
But eat is a little bit strong. I think he
tastes he's a taster. If he if he gets caught
up in the taste testing, then he should have to
pay the piper. That's a lot of teeth man, like.
Speaker 7 (55:27):
He did.
Speaker 5 (55:31):
Drop. You know it doesn't taste it. Oh yeah, I
mean sometimes you just want to taste it. I mean
that's true.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Well okay, sometimes I mean you can just crack the mic, right,
I mean, somebody that comes stronger than.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
You drop, I will say. Sometimes, So here's the problem, right,
you want to go a little further than that.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
You do want to eat it.
Speaker 5 (55:57):
This is the problem. Okay.
Speaker 6 (56:01):
Who ka Nakua is one of those weirdos when they
get a blow pop or lollipop, they bite into it.
Speaker 5 (56:07):
They don't lick it first, you're a weirdo. Okay, if
you're biting it before it's ready to be bitten, you're
a weirdos. I will say. It's like that tutsi roll owl,
like three licks against.
Speaker 4 (56:18):
The center will never be three licks unless you're literally
trying to bite into it.
Speaker 6 (56:24):
So based on that alone, I'm not paying it facing
a chip tooth. You really are, He's been great. I'm
not paying a guy who's going to bite a tutsi
roll pop before he licks it.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
I'm not doing it, mister isl really really deteriorated. Hohoka
Nakua is like understanding of.
Speaker 5 (56:41):
What using your teeth are for the world may never know.
You ain't lying, You ain't lying. Oh one wait three?
Why three? Why does the tutsi roll owl sound like
the count off sesame? Yeah he does. Kind of the
world they never know, But but the Count really gets
(57:05):
into it. Oh so Dave Chappelle's like, oh, you got it.
Speaker 6 (57:09):
You got a count who's a pimp louton smack tool smacks.
Speaker 5 (57:16):
Three smacks. It's like, oh, They're like, oh, Oscar, why
you're such a grouch bitch? I live in a trashcad.
What do you mean, so good luck to Wind Sports,
(57:39):
good luck to win Sports group as they try, and
I think they'll be just fun. Yeah. Gets uh.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Actually, you know what we should do because you've been
known to do this in the past when we put
a bet on it, what do you want to bet
Pooga Nakua gets a deal done before the years ago.
Speaker 6 (57:53):
I'm not betting anything based on what I looked through
last night on the fine docket.
Speaker 5 (57:59):
Like it's this is ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (58:01):
It's now getting out of hand because LeVar, somehow you
have enough power on this show to like dictate who
gets fined.
Speaker 5 (58:08):
I'm sick.
Speaker 1 (58:08):
No, he's He's dropped a lot of his habits that
were considered fine potential. That's just like, when's the last
time you've heard himbloviate about anything in the past.
Speaker 6 (58:20):
That's just that's just football players sticking up for football player.
Like I'm getting self aware because I'm getting out here.
Should be ten dollars.
Speaker 5 (58:30):
Why am I getting Peter Schrager out here? That's another.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
You get.
Speaker 4 (58:37):
You get your little degenerate little social media followers like
Levar's out here saying that Jonas never blushed.
Speaker 5 (58:44):
Don't don't be little me like that guy.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
Get rid of them.
Speaker 5 (58:47):
Get rid of them.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
Now, hold on, you've made bets in the past that
don't have to do with money.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
Yeah, but like, what is that you have made that
that you really have I Romo has been in the headlines.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
Yeah, if we had that drop.
Speaker 5 (59:04):
Romo was connected to I was I want my time.
I really was ahead of my time. I tried to
tell everybody thought we would have heard you tell us
about the bet. You know what you would have done.
Tried to tell everybody about Tony Robb is the studio
on fire?
Speaker 4 (59:18):
Right now?
Speaker 3 (59:18):
What's happening?
Speaker 5 (59:21):
Guys? Don't mind me, don't mind her. She's just working
on her part of the show. Yeah, what do you want?
She got to be ready for you want something? I
don't want anything. Do you want to cheat something up?
Speaker 6 (59:34):
No?
Speaker 7 (59:34):
Not now?
Speaker 5 (59:35):
Absolutely, can just say it instead of playing the drops,
you know.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
Upset, Well, let's just go to the.
Speaker 7 (59:44):
Like.
Speaker 4 (59:44):
I thought we were having a good time. I thought
we were having a good time until till that moment.
That was aggressive. You you were being passive aggressive, and
then it led to a real aggression.
Speaker 5 (59:55):
I mean, I mean, hey man, you know you.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Gonna speak it crashing out? Are we not going to
touch on steff On Diggs signing in Washington.
Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
We really have not touched on stuff on Digs. So
it's going to be more of a pressure from you.
Huh do you want to now you want to join in?
Speaker 7 (01:00:13):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Okay, what Cardy said. Now she wants to be positive
and join in and be happy. Cardi did, is that
for the leftover? And she did, oh, yeah, that's another
layer on the leftovers?
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Maybe speak up, Lauria that you can't mention it and
then not elaborate.
Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
Well, no, it was just funny. He was like, oh,
you want to touch on Stefan Diggs. I was like,
Cardi b did.
Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
Oh, she said something about actually, damn when she's over
that though you know she's not.
Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
She's not into touching him anymore, right, I thought she
like posted something.
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Now, I didn't realize that we had to live in
the gutter to understand that.
Speaker 5 (01:00:53):
Isn't she going to touch his pocket book? Right? Don't they?
Don't they? Your baby daddy?
Speaker 7 (01:00:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
Did that?
Speaker 6 (01:01:00):
Well, if you follow Antonio Brown on X, Stefan might
be looking elsewhere these days. So if you just follow
along on some of the innuendos being made there, but congratulations,
he is a Washington commander.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
So it still doesn't takeaway from what now, what's the
move for Brendan and I.
Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
I can't wait to hear, Yeah, does he does? He
run his house out to Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
Well and Stephan is from there. You don't need nobody
read him, know how. He's from the DMV bred. And
if you talk about guys that have mismanaged.
Speaker 6 (01:01:40):
Or thought they had leverage in a situation, they didn't
really have a whole lot of I think Brandon I
who probably takes the cake.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
When you look at him and his videos, it looks
like he looks more and more dishoveled every single day.
It just looks bad. He looked like mister Glass. Oh no,
he looks like mister Glass and a robe. So who's
(01:02:07):
the opposite? Who's the Bruce.
Speaker 5 (01:02:12):
Christoph McCaffrey, John Lynch, Okay, yeah, it is true. A
white man at the door.
Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
That's why he got freaked out, Hey, Bay, spin spin
around the block a couple more times. A scary white
man at the door. That's that's Bruce Willis aka John Lynch.
Speaker 6 (01:02:30):
It's just that's why what he's talking about going to
the commanders, going to the commanders, It's like, you know
that the front office in Washington, like the remnants of
that front office was in San Francisco. Like their relationships
are tight, Dan Quinn, Kyle Shanahan, they coached together, like
everybody's all kind of a tight knit unit. Why on
(01:02:52):
earth would you think that Washington would want anything to
do with you based.
Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
On how bad you butchered your situation in San Francis.
Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
Who was going to Jaydeon Daniels politicking and uh being
an advocate for him and he ruined.
Speaker 5 (01:03:07):
He ruined that too. I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
I don't see anybody else taking a chance on him man,
unless it's just like a real emergency situation due to
an injury, and I still don't know that they would
do it. Then it's just a bad beat look man
played out bad for him.
Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
And there's also the uh from the standpoint of apparently
it's not even that he's got a he's on the
non football reserve list, so he's got actually right to
Roger Goodell to seek green statement so he can come back.
And then he won't do it because that would have
that would admit that he's got to crawl back to
(01:03:46):
the league.
Speaker 5 (01:03:47):
He thought he had all the leverage. Yeah, it's he
won't do it.
Speaker 6 (01:03:51):
But congratulations to step On Diggs who's in Washington. He's
gonna pair up with you know, the the commanders there
and Jayden and Daniels and see what happens. It is
two pros and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox
Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you
coming up next here though, could we see something a
change in the world of football moving forward?
Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
We'll discuss right here on FSR
