Speaker 4 (01:11):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
One of the moves that was made in the NFL yesterday.
One of the big time trades that went down yesterday
was one involving a couple of teams who really had
no choice, the Bears and the Bills. Dj Moore gets
traded to the Buffalo Bills along with a fifth round
pick in exchange for a second rounder. In this year's draft,
Buffalo needed to add something from a wide receiver standpoint,

(01:35):
get Josh Allen another weapon. They do so in adding
Dj Moore, He's got familiarity with new Bills head coach
Joe Brady. He was with him in Carolina, So I
would imagine they're probably not done as far as adding
to that side of the ball and getting more help.
And then from the Bears standpoint, he just hid his

(01:56):
contract didn't make sense for what they gave him, not
before this past season, but the season before. What he
was making didn't make sense based on the fact that
they drafted Roma Dunza, they drafted Luther Burton pretty high,
they drafted Colston Lovelin in the first round, and so
they're at a spot to where they've got to shed
some cap, they've got to create some flexibility. They all

(02:18):
of a sudden ever need at center. They clearly need
to upgrade on the defensive side of the ball, most
notably a pass rusher.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
So it seems like this.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Is one of those win win situations for everybody involved.
Do you get a second round pickback, do you get
some cat flexibility? They released Tremaine Edmonds as well too,
who they were trying to shop, and the Buffalo Bills
at a piece around Josh Allen and somebody who's produced
everywhere he's gone.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
The Bills have needed a playmaker at the receiver's position.
The whole fallout of Stefan Diggs seem to potentially set
them back because I don't know that that was his production,
what he represented was ever replaced. But then you think

(03:05):
about there was also fallout with Keon Coleman. Well, Keon
Coleman even be back on the team this upcoming season
after kind of everything that played out in in the
in the media as it applied to him. I think
DJ Moore is a very very nice piece to add

(03:28):
to this Buffalo roster. It gives them a definitive one
at that position. And now you have Cook in the
backfield who sets up the pass very nicely for Josh Allen.
Josh Allen's ability to run sets up the pass very
nicely for this Buffalo Bills team. And again you mentioned

(03:53):
Joe Brady. I just look at the way this is
kind of coming together, so to speak, for this for
this Buffalo roster, and I think it has the potential
of being maybe explosive enough now where you could actually

(04:13):
look at this team potentially getting further in the NFL
playoffs depending on what happens when the league year starts
and who's coming, who's staying, who's going. I think this
is a tremendous value ad for the Buffalo Bills team
this offseason.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, he's also not You don't hear any diva rumors
about DJ Moore, I would say, look, they didn't. Him
and Kayleb Williams had always felt like there was an
awkward sort of chemistry there. They did good things together,
but there was no real like there were times where
it looked like DJ Moore would get frustrated. There was
some confusion on the final play against the Rams, like

(04:56):
there were times where it seemed like they weren't as
in sync as maybe a Roma DOONSA. But DJ Moore,
you know, great reputation off the field, really solid dude.
Just everybody speaks really highly of him. And so the
fact that you're going to upgrade at that position and
not have to worry about any of the the stuff

(05:17):
they went on with that went on with Keon Coleman
where it just never seemed to work out, the Stefan
Diggs fiasco. So you're going to get a Devalless wide
receiver and then you just need to add around that
offense and continue to provide Josh Allen with some weapons
and then at some point it's going to be up
to them whether or not they can cash in.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
There's I mean, obviously you you moved on and brought
in Joe Brady as as your OC. You moved on
from your your head coach. It's a new new coaching
staff in Buffalo, and probably because they most likely potentially
may have hit their ceiling in terms of what they

(06:00):
were able to accomplish under old management. But I just
I think when you look at the core structure of
this Bill's team, they are built to win, but they
are a team that could potentially be approaching what I
usually use when I talk about teams is that ceiling.

(06:20):
Have they hit a ceiling where you know, now you've
got to start figuring out what do you do in
the future if you want to have success, keep up
with success, and potentially, you know, elevate to to a
higher level of success. So I think this is a
great move for the Bills. We've had this conversation plenty

(06:41):
of times Jonas in terms of again, Pete Prisco comes
on and he says, this is not the market free
agent wise to improve your team this year. And it
looks as though these teams are aware of that. And
so the wheeling and dealing is going on through trades
and this is one of those the Bears are able

(07:03):
to bolster what they're going to be able to do
within the draft and kind of look to build continue
to build this team around Caleb Williams and mold. It
looks like Ben Johnson has done a great job of
foundationally putting in play what the culture of this team
is going to look like, what they could be. They
took a very very definitive step forward in terms of

(07:25):
their success this season. And as I look at the
Buffalo Bills, it's a team that could go one or
two ways. It could either go up or it can
go down. It's not profound. It's just real. They're at
that moment in time where you say, is Josh Allen
and the Buffalo Bills going to take this team to
the next level or are they going to go backwards?

(07:47):
I don't think they remain the same. It's much like
what we're looking at with the Baltimore Ravens. I think
the Ravens and this Bills team are very comparable. Two
teams going into this season. New leadership, new head coaches.
You have a a franchise Wow, you have a franchise
quarterback in your position you have you have the potential

(08:10):
of transitioning into being a super Bowl contending team. But
can you do it? Can you do it? And then
you look at what Ben Johnson did in year one.
You look at what Mike Vrabel dig making it all
the way to the super Bowl in year one.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
I feel like these.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Coaches in these positions that have a Lamar Jackson and
a Josh Allen, you're in the pressure packed situation of
delivering year one.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
You don't get year one anymore.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Well, I mean, look at Baltimore and Buffalo, And it's
a good point because when you think about Sean McDermott
and you think about John Harbob both were successful. And look,
you know, Steve Bashatti was talking with you know and
kind of making you know, this point and doing his
rounds and talking with the media and pointing out you know, listen,

(09:02):
you know him us not making the playoffs. I know,
Jerry Coleman, the Great Ravens and Baltimore reporter out there,
listener of Fox Sports Radio, good dude, you know, Steve
b Ashatty kind of made the point to him and
saying or made the point out loud that you know,
maybe you know, we needed to win a super Bowl
or and that was the only way that John was

(09:22):
going to keep his job or something along those lines.
And John Harbor was really surprised by it. But if
that's the case, and those are the expectations, and the
expectations are we need to win a Super Bowl or
do more than we did, or else it's going to
cost jobs like it did for both John Harbaugh and
Sean McDermott, then those are the expectations that those new

(09:42):
guys are taking on as well too. Jesse Minner's taking
those on, Joe Brady's taking those on. So there is
no Hey, there's a learning curve, Hey, give it some time.
Brand new coach Ben Johnson took over a sinking ship. Yes,
and so the thought was, all right, if you could
just get back some credibility, won a couple of more games,

(10:02):
would at least show a foundation we're good here. Same
with Mike Rable, Joe Brady and Jessembrady and Jacksonville Yeah,
and Liam Cohen.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
I mean, all of these guys came in and did
bang up jobs of capturing the locker room and building
what would be perceived as a successful first year campaign.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Jesse Minner and Joe Brady took over MVP quarterbacks whose
teams underperformed, and because of which and because of they
underperformed the expectations their coaches, the previous guys were fired.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
And so those guys now have that to deal with.
So I just a lot.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I like the move for Buffalo. It's definitely an improvement
and upgrade. I look, DJ Moore is going to be
twenty nine. He's been durable, but if you've watched enough
Bears games over the past few years or the past
couple of years, he does get banged up. Man Like,
he's always out there, but he does get banged up
and he comes out he needs like like though his physical.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Style of play.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
I just wonder how long that goes for. But they
needed to do something again, he's familiar with the offense.
But I don't know that I look at this and go, oh,
that's going to put him over the hump. I just
I still think there's work to do it. I think
the expectations are going to be at a level that
maybe they won't meet and then we got to deal
with the fallout next offseason.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
But it does check a box.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Off Yeah, it does check a box, and you know
deal with that once you get there. But it does
check a box. You have a definitive one at your
receiver's position. DJ Moore at twenty nine years old, is
still a playmaker, a difference maker at the position and
could give again give Josh Allen that weapon that he needs,

(11:50):
that big play weapon. He is a playmaker and he
is a game changer with what he's able to do. Now,
if the unseen, the unforeseen, the injuries, that spect ofmic
creep in, you can at least say you took the chance.
And I feel like right now we haven't even gotten
really deep into because we haven't started a new league season,

(12:10):
the new league year. That could be the pickup of
the off season already right now. That could be like,
what was the one move that you were like, Oh,
that was a big move and that made a difference.
We could look back on this trade and say that
was probably the biggest trade that took place in this
in this off season.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
And I also wondered, potentially, I also wondered, from the
Chicago standpoint, what do you do with the flexibility that
you've got now, because you know, Tremaine Edmonds was having
a really good year last year for them and then
he could suffered the lone injury. He's good, he's suffered
the groin injury and was having a strong year. But
this is another one of those because of the cap restrictions,

(12:51):
they had to make the move. Same with the Dj
Moore trade. If you're the Bears and somehow you parlay
this into Linderbaum and he's your addition at center like
all of a sudden, I don't think they're getting him away.
I don't think anybody's going to get Lindenbaum away from
Baltimore's If Baltimore allows for him to walk, do you

(13:15):
now start thinking, is it is? Are they potentially rebuilding
in Baltimore? So the reports are they offered They didn't
franchise him, they didn't tag him. They offered Linderbaum Baltimore
did twenty million a year. He said, now I'm gonna
go see what.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Else is out there. Yeah, but that's just go see
what else is out there.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Okay, But they could have if they really wanted it,
they could have just franchised him.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
They could have tagged it. They could. But if you
think he's gone, I think he's going somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
If you can give a guy the respect factor of saying,
we're not going franchise tag you, we think that much
of you. We're going to offer you this money. You
go out there and if you don't want to sign this,
see what the market is saying to you, and then
we'll have a talk from there. I think if you're
on hard fare, if it's hard feelings, if there's not

(14:02):
a trust, if there's not a belief, then it just
goes to business. We're going to franchise, tag you. You're
going to be here. They did it to Lamar Jackson.
They don't care about your feelings. But if they are
trying to show that they do have a feeling for
your feelings and that they want to try to do
it in a way where it's it's more of a
team effort. It's a friendship deal, and we moved through
it that way and it's not just business. Then you

(14:26):
do it the way that the Ravens are doing it, right.
I don't think they let him get out of it.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
I'm look, I'm surprised it's even at this point. I
thought at least you would have franchise tagged him. He's
probably the best center in the league, and he's in
his he's twenty five. Yeah, So the idea that you're
going to let that walk when you rely on the
run game as much as you do, and you rely
on on the protection of your quarterback who's already been
banged up, that that would be surprising they're not going

(14:52):
to let him out. But I man, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
It's if you're right, it's a great call. It's a
great call if you're right.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
But and then to the point that you were getting
at in terms of what they're doing in Chicago, I
think it also needs to be said. You stated something
maybe people didn't catch on to it. Maybe they did.
They probably did.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
The fact that DJ Moore and Caleb had like an
interesting relationship. He's very he's Caleb is still very young,
and and some of those interactions were more like big
brotherly type type interactions and and so what what it
could possibly, you know, indicate is that they are working

(15:31):
very diligently to continue to build that that uh, that
leadership role uncontested with Caleb Williams. It is now heading
into that point in time of his career where as
the franchise quarterback and has shown that as much he's
the franchise guy, that we have to put him in

(15:52):
a position where no one is undermining that type of
authority in the locker room. And that's most likely to
me the reason why it was probably the proper time
that they dealt DJ more And.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Look, if you're able to free up this space, Buffalo
gets their receiver and with the extra cat flexibility, the
Bears could hypothetically get a linderbomb or go out and
use this to deal for a Max Crosby or somebody
like that. This is the ultimate win win trade because
this does give you the ability to do that, and
it gives Buffalo the ability to have a Number one

(16:26):
type wide receiver for Josh Allen, which he hasn't had.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
There you go quite some time.

just you got problems, all right, So coming up, we
are going to have another edition of the of the
Herdline News in about twenty minutes from now. That'll be

(18:17):
yours right here on FSR. But kind of interesting and
fiery commentary from one Logan Paul, who he's, you know,
not one to shy away from controversy, not one to
shy away from maybe throwing his hands a little bit
if need be. He's you know, fought done exhibition fights,
Floyd Mayweather, Dylan Danis, etc.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Etc. Like, He's been out there and thrown down.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Currently a WWE superstar, and he's very good at it,
has been very successful in his transition over into that industry.
But then this conversation turned to you know, what would
it look like potentially against an NFL player, had they
thrown down or had he thrown down against an NFL
player at point sometime soon to which Logan Paul on

(19:02):
his podcast Impulsive had to say, this.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
What football players would straight up beat his ass?

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Not not that I would put I would put any
amount of money that you could put metcalf. Not a
single football player beat me in a boxing match.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Miles.

Speaker 8 (19:20):
That is on god, Garrett. I would throttle Miles Garrett.
Miles Garrett, I will bet you a Why do we
choose him? It could be any name, but any football
player Miles Garrett. Uh like, I don't even I don't
even know.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Don't even try calling out Sam Donald.

Speaker 8 (19:38):
Sam Donald, doesn't matter what A million dollars, a million dollars,
You come to the gym, we put on boxing gloves,
we see how it goes.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
So that from Logan Paul attacking your your co workers there.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
As in as in I mean he's he's going right
after the defensive side of the ball. He's not messing
around with a punter or a kicker. He's going right
at Miles Garrett. He didn't you guys like that Miles
Garrett is the only bad mother effort he named out
of all that. They said, Sam Darnold.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
About DK metcalf DK, I mean he could be a
real tough guy.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
He could be. I don't I don't know.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
I don't know if DK went up against a real
tough guy, would he be still a tough guy. I'm
not sure he could really be a tooth chipper though,
Like there are some tooth chippers out there in the serengetti,
and he didn't name any of them. Like, throw out
James Harrison, you know, throw throw his name. Throw Aaron
Donald in the mix, see if you can. And and

(20:41):
while Aaron Donald is like more of martial arts, Hey,
going to the going to the octagon, let's make it
mm A, let's not let's not limit it to boxing.
You do you do w WF wrestling, WWE, Let's go
to the octagon with it, like go like, let's go

(21:01):
up in there with Pinea Seul, like like, let's let's
do that, go up in there with Max Crosby. Let's
let's Rashaun Gary, like, let's go up in there with
Michael Parsons, or or go up in there like name
some guys name some guys. And by the way, Brandon
Jacobs won my former teammates.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Oh, he should be a boxing promoter.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
He boxes and and he trains and he practices. Sean Merriman,
he promotes, he boxes, he trains, he does mixed martial arts.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Uh uh uh tamba a lee he he does.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
He's like very close with the gray Sea family and
has done uh jiu jitsu for many, many, many years.
So what this comes down to is it's it's a
new form of shock jock, you know, impact. Right, These influencers,

(21:57):
the Paul brothers, have done one of the exceptional, brilliant
jobs of playing the best villain roles in an influencer
potentially history within the sports arena, and they are able
to create these larger than life moments for boxing matches

(22:22):
and it works.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
It works. This is not this is not real.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
This is not real in terms of the idea, the
impact of going physically up and up with people. This
is promoting. This is entertainment and they do an excellent
job of doing so. Now Le'Veon Bell, who's been in
the news, will hands on for something's not great. Le'Veon

(22:49):
Bell posted on social media stop ducking Logan Paul been
trying to bro trying to fight an NFL player that's
never fought before. Let's set it up. We all heard
you say you can be ANYFL player. We can fight
in April. The NFL Draft is in Pittsburgh. We can
fight NFL Draft weekend. Let's make it happen, to which.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Logan Paul responded, A, you're not in the NFL B
you can actually fight. So I'd have to probably properly trained,
meaning I'd have to step away from WWE, which I
won't do, especially not for you. See, there's no money
here because you're not a draw. Prove me otherwise, and
he said, of course you want the opportunity. I'm a
gold mine for retirees like you say so.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
But he's right. Unfortunately for Bell, it's true that.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
All that's fair, all that people would go in Pittsburgh
for draft if Le'Veon Bell was fighting Logan Paul, so
he's wrong about that.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
He will be a drawing now.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Earlier today, Logan Paul posted on x he said my
one million dollar open bet to fight NFL players has
caused an uproar.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Here's the update.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Nobody is willing to put a million dollars in scrow
and be flown here to Puerto Rico, all expenses paid
in box with three professional judges. They all want to
formalize this with a streamer, venue, press conferences, et cetera.
Ie get paid to fight, but not risk their own money.
But I don't have time nor interest in that. I
won't step away from WWE to coordinate and train for

(24:13):
an event. But if any player wants to actually put
up a million dollars in fight at my gym with
official referees and judges, show yourselves. That includes you Le'Veon bell. Also,
if they want no cameras, I'm down. So look like
he's just looking for a fight. You know, he just
wants to be not fight.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
He's not.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
He's looking for what he's getting. And it's brilliant. You're
getting national attention for doing it. Saw Merriman just proposed
having boxing matches, fighting matches, MMA matches on NFL network.
He just proposed this not too long ago. I'd be

(24:51):
shocked if Logan Paul didn't catch on. And because those
guys all run the same circles, I would be shocked
as if Logan Paul didn't hear Sean talk about it
and beat them to the punch. In terms of getting
national exposure for calling out football players, I think it
would be interesting if there became a fight league where

(25:13):
former players could actually fight and fight on NFL NFL platforms.
I think it would be a great idea. Some of
these guys still want to compete. How do you compete?
You're not going to compete in the game, You're not
going to continue to be an active player. But guys
still stay in shape, do a lot with their bodies, train, coach,

(25:34):
do a lot of different things. Why not create an
outlet for them to be able to still compete and
it be monetized. I think it would be a great idea.
So I don't think this is about Logan Paul trying
to really thump. I. Like I said, if a guy
like Panea Suel put up a million bucks and ascro, which,
by the way, a million bucks.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Is a lot of money. It's a million bucks.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
But I'm putting up a billion bucks to come fight you,
like like I would want to make it a bigger deal.
Like I'm if you want to just thump, let's thump.
We don't have to put it out on social media,
have your people, reach out to the people you wanna,
you want to fight.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
And y'all do.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
Y'all do a fight and see what happens of it.
This is pure promotion.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
It's promotion. So to me, you.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Gotta take it that face value, see it as what
it is. It is entertainment. Logan Paul, the Paul brothers
are entertainers and they're damn good at it. And and
the added bonus are they actually are some tough mother lovers.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Great athletes. They're not.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
It's not like these are like pushover dudes. These are
actually That's why I'm saying, don't bring up Sam Darnold,
don't don't bring up a quarterback. Don't do that. Don't
do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Bring him,
he said Miles Garrett. Now I will say that he
did call out Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett would probably do
what that dude did in the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom,

(27:07):
like reach into his chest, pull his heart out, and
and and and then.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Burn the heart and do just that right there, Boom
standing up.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
Miles Garrett is a bad man, and that's one of
the most freakish athletes that you would ever deal with
in in a person. But that's like you're you're going
for You're going for.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Effect based on uh, you know, based on you know,
recent news. Miles Garret would probably rather do Daytona, you.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Know, for being honest, Well, he can draft, I mean,
he can draft.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Like the one thing the benefit is if you schedule
a fight with Miles Garrett, he's gonna get there quick.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
We know that stupid just got There's also it's it's
this time.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Of year and we're gonna get to the summer months
when you know, the NFL is not in season, when
all of this stuff sorts starts to happen, all of
these influencer fights and all these like all of these
things start to get discussed because I think everybody sort
of recognizes that once NFL comes around, that's the focus
of everybody. So yeah, you've got you know, like the

(28:14):
World Baseball Classics on right now.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
You know, you've got you've got this.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
There's just there's like fun summer events that pop up
spring summer events that people are going to get excited.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
And talk about.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
You know, when Mayweather fought McGregor was August. You know,
like it's just like this is the season, time of
year for this stuff to go off. And even if
there is no fight, even if there's no fight between
Logan Paul and Miles Garrett, Yeah, it's it's it's in
the conversation for a little while. Everybody's going to chime in.
Football players are going to chime in. Look, Tom Brady

(28:48):
sort of stoked the fire when he, you know, he
called you know, Logan Paul a bitch or something along
those lines, and he talked about WWE superstars. And so
you've got WWE superstars now talking about Tom Brady. So
I asked you this WrestleMania is their big event, right.
Guess where WrestleMania is again this year Las Vegas?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
In Vegas? Where's Tom Brady had a lot in Vegas?

Speaker 5 (29:09):
It's Tom Brady, doesn't Tom Brady is a is a
promoter too. Yeah, but Tom Brady ain't no fighter, No,
but he a hype it now he can hype it.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
But could you not see him making an appearance? Could
you not see him making an appearance at wrest in Vegas?
He owned, he's part owner of the team there.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
This is what I'd say, though, it does set up
the stage four the conflict there.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
I mean again, we're talking wrestle Mania.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
So why not have wrestling all Stars versus NFL All
Stars or former all stars?

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Right? Why not set it up?

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Lawrence Taylor main evented a wrest years ago against Bam
Bam Bigelow, like, and you had Steve McMichael was there,
and like all of these wrestlers, all of these NFL
players are there in attendance. Like we've gronks at WrestleMania before.
We've seen all this stuff happen before. But I'm not talking.
I'm not talking a show in terms of a show.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
I'm talking. I said Pinea Seuel because I watched him
very closely this season, so his name keeps popping up
in my head.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
You gotta get.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
The nastiest dudes, Aaron Donald, James Harrison, guys like that
and do wrestling like. Let's let's do jiu jitsu, like,
let's let's octagonnet in the WWE.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Let's get that.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
I want to see you going there and not be
afraid when panea Seoul comes walking up in there and
you gotta lock up with him. That's what Aaron Donald
comes walking up in there, who's probably in better shape
now in condition now than he was when he played.
I want to see you step in there and then
not be a show. Could you win or I win.

(31:01):
Somebody's walking out of here. Somebody ain't walking out alive, though,
So you want grappling involved, I just want I want
art art form.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Wrestling is an art form. It's wrestling.

Speaker 5 (31:12):
Wrestling is a history historically wrestling was is probably wrestling
in which if you know wrestling, that is an art form.
It's it's it's different, different disciplines, professional or so I'm
talking to wrestling. So most most wrestlers from college end
up transitioning into the UFC.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Those are the guys they learned the box. It's the
oldest combat sport, correct like Roman Greco all that stuff.
I want to see that.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
You could come in with your your w w E
uniform and everything like. But I want to see I
want to see like boxing. It's like, okay, that's it's
a different art form. It's a different discipline and and
it's it's just a little different. Let's go fool out.
You're a wrestler. You say you trained for your shows

(32:03):
with the w w E. Let's get a w w
E versus NFL legends. Maybe let's that's that's the that's
the one I'm telling you. Get get guys like like
I like I mentioned earlier, Get Tamba Ali, get a
like if you were to get up, if you were
to get current players I mentioned to Nail.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
But basically, the NFL PA should just send out a
memo and be like anybody some owing.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
I mean anybody tonguing they are something. Come on, they
are some tough, tough dudes, man, the best. They are
some tough dudes. But I'm just telling you it is
not limited to that.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
It is not. There are some tough.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Dudes that have played in this this league man, and
they freaks, like straight up physical athletic freaks that they
hit you with that. You know that.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Who's the guy from the Texans?

Speaker 9 (33:04):
To he Tommy Man, he's the best bet.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
He throws up the tongue and team and that means
they did something.

Speaker 5 (33:13):
Yeah, let him come walking in the octagon with with
Logan Paul and he hit him with that t and
started doing that. I was I turned up and talk
about your million bucks when that happened.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
What was the final game of the season.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Uh, that guy from the Texans scored a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
He scored he scored a touchdown. Part of that was
it like a got it.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
I think they put him as a tackle eligible and
they didn't get the ball to him, but he ended
up scoring a touchdown on like a blocked field goal
or there was some crazy play that happened the time.
And as he's celebrating on the field, Demico Ryans was
running out there doing the tea to the tongue and tea,
you want to do it, oh my god, but he ain't.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
You want to do it, like I want to be
a part of that, hey man.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
Like.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
One of the great all time stories of a of
a teammate fight was Olin Krutz and Fred Miller back
in the day when they were they were at a
shooting range and Olin Krutz.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
To bad fre Fred Miller, I guess, broke a dumb
bell on Ollen Krutzer's head.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
He smashed him in the head with the dumb bell.
Ollen Crutz had to get stitches, but Olin Krutz broke
Fred Miller's jaw, like just beat his ass. And apparently,
you know they were just had maybe gone out and
had a couple and but they were fine. They finished
the season together but Fred Miller had to get his
job broken. Fred Miller was a big guy, like a
really big guy. And then you come to find out,
Oh Ollenkrutz, where's he from Honolulu to.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
St. Louis High School? What sho?

Speaker 5 (34:46):
All I'm saying is it's all fine and good to
talk all that mess about what you do to any
football player and all this old mess that the logan
Paul is in.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
But there's promoting and in there's real you know. You know,
they tell you if you see.

Speaker 5 (35:03):
You get some of them real ones up in there,
that's a whole different gang.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Little piece of advice, you know, they tell you if
you see somebody with cauliflower ear, don't mess with them.
If somebody says to you, hey, Broda, just back away.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Slow, just back away. Or give them a hug. If
a drink, give them a hug. Man, Hey, Brad. If
you hear hey breda a little hot Friday.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
You gotta go, man, all right, So we'll keep you posting.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
You hear get run you grab your drops and run.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
I love them.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
On the big story in the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
And also we're going to find out whether or not
some of the injuries around the NFL could impact some
wheeling and dealing in the league. We'll get into that
for you again coming up here a little over twelve
minutes from now. But right now, it is time for
another edition of The Herd Line News.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
No, no, turn on the news.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
This is the Herd Line News.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
It's Greig Tooey.

Speaker 9 (36:36):
Yeah, togyoy yeah, come on, Greg oh Man. We had
some fun with that last seconment because I'm a Texans fan.
Tommy TeV Texans sty stud defensive tackle. Guys, we could
be seeing an Aj Brown trade out of Philly coming
very soon.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
The last twenty four hours.

Speaker 9 (36:56):
We've got a couple interesting reports about his future in Philly.
Jeffaclayan of the Philadelphia Inquirers said that patrioson Ravens are
the two most likely potential trade partners. Ian Rappaport said
also this week, it certainly seems that Brown will be
playing for the Eagles or Patriots next season, with an
answer likely coming very soon. This morning, Diana Russini threw

(37:19):
out another potential landing spot. LeVar, you'll like this all right.
The Chargers are another team to keep your eye on,
but no team has made an official offer to the Eagle.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
Yes yet.

Speaker 9 (37:29):
So LeVar, where do you think Aj Brown fits best
next season? Pat's Ravens or the Chargers with Harbaugh and
Mike McDaniel, or just stay put?

Speaker 5 (37:41):
Well, I think the best decision would just be the
state put. But if you were to go somewhere else,
I mean, the Ravens would make a ton of sense, man,
a ton of sense.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
I think.

Speaker 9 (37:59):
I think Are needs as much help as he can
get right now, right like he needs, he needs as
much help as he can get to get over the hump.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
Because he just cannot get over there. A J. Brown
needs to get the hell out of there.

Speaker 9 (38:14):
I'm worried about I'm worried about the new head coach,
Jesse Menzer there with him, though I don't know how
that would work.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
I like, here's the because everyone wants to like, looks
at Nick Cirio. Oh, it's Nick Sirianni, and it's it's
Jalen Hurts and it's all all right. When they were
winning a Super Bowl, A J. Brown wasn't happy and
that was a different offensive coordinator. Then last year he
wasn't happy. He's just not happy. And if he's not
happy there, you gotta like turn the page. I know

(38:41):
Howie Roseman wants to create this. Well, you don't just
get rid of good players. You're Howie Roseman. You do
it all to do all the time. And if you
need any help with that, called Joe Shane and seat
a handle. Get rid of good and getting rid of
good players like see would get some advice from him.
But it's not working with aj B and it hasn't
been working. It's not an offensive coordinator issue, it's him, So.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
Let him go and send them to New England. Go
back with Rabel.

Speaker 9 (39:07):
I think the Herbert I mean, I think the Chargers
things interesting with Harball. I think he could manage him well.
I think Michael McDaniel will find plenty of ways to
use him.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Is Herbert still Daton Madison Beer? I believe he is? Yes,
I mean why not? Why would he not be?

Speaker 7 (39:22):
Amen?

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Okay, some things just don't need to change.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
True.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
We'll wrap it up with this one.

Speaker 9 (39:32):
As the world of will he or won't he return
next season continues for Aaron Rodgers. Ian Rappaport this morning
was on with DP Dan Patrick's show and talked about
whether or not Aaron's received him offer from Pittsburgh and
about a potential return next season in the NFL.

Speaker 10 (39:46):
Whether it's been offered or not, he probably knows what
it is. It's just a matter of him saying do
I want to play or not? You know, My sense
is it's the Steelers or no one. It's just on
him to sort of make a decision and.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Let us all know.

Speaker 10 (39:58):
And if he wants to tell us all sorts of
things about his personal life and his exercise schedule and
all that, we'll probably take that as well.

Speaker 9 (40:05):
So Colin brought up this week if you had an
NFL QB draft for next year only, he thinks Aaron
would be in the top ten, which is pretty pretty
wild to think about.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
A overall overall in the entire league.

Speaker 9 (40:20):
Yeah, just for next year, not like who would you
build around, not for three years from now, I just
for next year. I could see the argument for that.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
I look, I he there's clearly some limitations. He's clearly aged.
Everybody can see that. But it's not as if he
was just awful last year. It's this isn't like the
Jets situation. They won the division, made the playoffs. Yeah,
and so I look at it and I go, Pittsburgh
needs a consistent run game. They need things around him.

(40:53):
But that's something that could work. I just wonder, if
you're the Steelers, when are you going to acknowledge the
fact that it's been a little while since you've been
the Steelers. Everybody knows, and it's almost as if the
goal was, hey, just get to the playoffs. We could
say we're in the playoffs again, and they haven't won it.
I think ten years. They haven't won a playoff game

(41:13):
in ten years. So I just wonder, if you're the Steelers,
if you look at this and say, at some point
we got to cut ties.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
And move forward.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
And you may not like the rebuild philosophy, but maybe
that's maybe that's the best course of action at this point.

Speaker 9 (41:26):
That ripped the band aid off franchise. At some point
they need to rip the band aid off and just
rebuild LaVar. You're a yins or they don't rip do that.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
They don't do that.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
We've never really had to rip the band aid off, right,
We're always pretty good.

Speaker 9 (41:38):
So argue they should have the last couple of years person,
and you wouldn't be wrong.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
Well, look at the you know, it's a it's a
hockey comp but look at the Penguins. Everyone's been saying
for the Penguins, you got to get rid of Crosby,
malc and Letang, you got to start over, and they
just won't. And as it turns out, they're much improved
and much better than a lot of people thought.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
And then you get the Pirates.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
Who, uh, you know, they Paul Skeins is great, but
that's a team that seems to always be willing to
rip the band aid off and just you know, trade
trade their best players away to teams that that are
looking for improvements at the deadline, so yeah, we'll see.
But I do think Rogers ends up coming back. I
think that makes the most sense for all parties involved.
Back to the ends.
