We got a lot to get to, a lot to
throw your way. We got a full house today, Flex
and TJ are here. We will have it cuffs an
hour two. Yes, it says up on game and it
says Fox Sports Radio. All right, you guys know what

(01:08):
time it is. Man, it's a whole lot of football
going on. And uh well, while we have NFL playoffs
today that we will touch on. There's some playoffs going
on in the college football ranks. And there are a
couple interesting games that took place, some big games. But
before we talk about those, you know, it always is

(01:28):
a good thing when you got your brother's witches, so
you got to check on them and see how they're feeling. Man,
how y'all feeling on this this Saturday, Saturday morning in January?
How's everything going?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Well, you already know how it is out here, cloud
and go. I'll talk about clear, clear, clear, about seventy degrees.
It's a great day to be in La seventy Where
you at, I mean, you're in a high rich district,
so you know that's a little different most.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Boys out with that brute you do the hire Rent district.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
What you got going on?

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Bro?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
It's fifty four over here, by the way, what you
got from over there?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Like, I mean, you know, it's just it's set warm,
you know right now, So it was I guess it's
around forty eight, forty seven, forty something degree, So it's
not too bad. It's not, you know, it as bad
as it's been for your past a couple of weeks.
But you know, we'll take it.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Man.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
It's January, you know, it's that time of the year.
But you know, you know real soon that it's going
to get back to being mad Brick. So you just
got to enjoy little mad brick Son. So you just
got to enjoy while you got it.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Well, you know what Lavari really is not seventy It
looks like it. You know, I ain't been outside. It
just looked like it's seventy. I just had when you
said it was where it's fifty seven over here, But.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
It's only nine am. If it's fifty right now, it's
nine am, it's gonna hit to early seventies, mid sixties,
early I would assume. I mean, it does look clear out, So,
I mean, you know, could be a nice one. Could
could be a nice one in CALLI. Speaking of nice ones,

(03:21):
we had a nice game against the U and Ole Miss,
but not so much with Indiana and Oregon. Which one
y'all want to start off with? Man, I mean Miami
and Old Miss took took a shot at it first.
Maybe we start there. Old Miss obviously were down a

(03:42):
few more coaches than what they had in the first
few games of playing in the playoff. Nonetheless, what an
amazing run for the team. It came down to final
plays for the game to be decided. They got the
offense going in the later stage of the game, fourth quarter,
no one could stop anybody out there.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
What was y'alls takeaway from from the Miami Old Miss
game semi finals of college football.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Player Miami Old Miss?

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Kind of with how I thought Old Miss actually played
better than I thought they would. Offensively, I felt like
that Miami defensive line would overwhelm Old Miss, and they
did wrong.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Old Miss played really good football.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
Felt on that long touchdown run by Lacey had he
if he didn't hurt his hamstring, I wonder what would
have happened to remain in the game. Although he played,
he was he was kind of compromised.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
He was that hamstring.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
He was still act.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
Yeah, but you know, as a skilled guy with a hamstring,
like you can go, but you really can't go. And
so for him to tough that out, Malaka man is
uh he a playmaker to be a true freshman to
be playing the way that he was playing.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
Uh, Miami, Miami up front and defensively, they do a
really good job. But Old Miss had a considering the circumstances,
they had a hell of a season, a hell of
a season, it almost is like you don't even have
your coaches there during the week, like how are you
doing it? And Bill barely beat them, And then when

(05:23):
you get to this point, it's almost like, because I
truly believe in the game of football, coaching matters so
much so either the leadership of that offense in Trinida
they're that good mentally or I don't know or what
is going on because to not have offensive coaches there

(05:46):
for the majority of the week because they were at LSU,
Like how are they that good? And so you got
to give credit to the guys on that offense, and
I don't know who those guys are that really led
them during the week.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
What you think man I.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Said last week that teneret that Trinidad champions was man
was going to create some you know, some problems with
with Miami defense. Did I not Ruby Bang and all
those guys no tackles for lost, no sacks? And that
is the anchor for this team is this defense and
defensive line getting caught pressure on the quarterback. And you
just got to take your hat off to those guys,

(06:23):
man oh miss the way they went out and played.
But if you go back and look at the game.
I mean, the officiating was was just terrible. I mean,
you get a face mask on Trinidad, Uh, no call,
he gets rushing shickled like Nikita cole Off in the pocket,
no call. He gets hit out of bounds for a

(06:46):
fifteen year old penalty, no call, and uh you just
you know, plays like that in games, games of this magnitude, man,
they mean a lot. It just kind of it showed
me that, you know, from a disciplined discipline standpoint, you know,
Miami was a little out of character, especially when ninety
nine he went down late and hit the guy and

(07:06):
it was automatic first down.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
That was kind of number eleven.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yeah, so you can kind of see some some chinks
in the almost. But I really wasn't overly impressed with
the passing game for Miami because it seemed like to
me that all the big players came from screen passed
to Malacotoni. I mean, if you sho look at some
of the players this young man made, I mean, he
was a difference in the ball game for Miami, you know,

(07:33):
going against old men's defensively, because it just looked like
every time he got his hands on the football he
was doing something with it. They couldn't get him down
on the third down was thirty six thirty seven obviously
the one hand to catch that he made that he
was almost a found. It was absolutely spectacular. And then
you look at the screen pass that he got, I
mean he was an unto. Yeah, but you know, I'm

(07:55):
just you know, you're looking at this game and it's
so many, you know, parts of it where you know
Old Miss had a chance to win. But you know,
if you Old Miss, I mean obviously you came up
short and you know, didn't get a chance to make
it to the championship. Both of these teams had two
hell of a season, but at the end of the day,

(08:16):
Old Miss, you lost to a quarterback in Carson Beck,
who is his seventh year playing college football. So I
guess you can just hang your hat on that and
say we got beat by grown ass man.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
You know, we talked about Lacey having not tweaked his hammi,
it might be a different game, and I truly, I
definitely believe that because the way they once they made
the adjustments with even not having him at full full capacity,
both defenses struggled and then both defenses wore down. I

(08:51):
think Miami got out of character because they were tired.
Miami won the game because old missus defense was tired
and looking at it when when you break it down,
you know, the one thing that that kind of really
really stood out to me that I feel like they
would look back on it and say, why didn't they
do it more? Which Trinidad didn't run, you know, Chamblis

(09:14):
didn't run, and coming into the.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Game he could.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
You don't think he could.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
He tried, you think so he tried at times, Yeah,
he tried. At times he couldn't. He couldn't.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I think. I think if if there were more moments
where he pulled it down and kept Miami's defense honest
earlier on in the game. I don't. I don't know that.
You know, obviously they missed the field goal that that
played a part and how the score looked getting later

(09:49):
into the game, But to say you tried and couldn't run,
you know, I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
The man, especially with all the man man that they
were playing. I believe there was some opportunities there.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
There was there were I'm looking at it, like I
kept saying, I was like, man, like, wait is he
going to run? Like when is he gonna when is
he going to extend the plays or when is he
going to just pull it down and go get it?
Like I know you say he tried, but he couldn't.
But there was there was even one moment where he
got out of the pocket.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
He threw it. He threw it, but there was nobody there.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
There was no one there, man, there was no And
I'm looking at it like is he scared? Like what
is this the game plan? Why isn't he just going
ahead and putting his foot on the gas because if
he does that, y'all y'all receivers. I felt like, even
if he gets minimum yardage running like he had seven
yards rushing in the game, even if he gets minimum

(10:40):
yards rushing on some of his attempts, he opens up
the defense. Like the they have to pay attention to
the fact that they got to play eleven on eleven
football versus worrying about more about coverage, and they didn't
do that. So they were actually playing against the Miami
defense that that kind of found a rhythm and the
comfort of knowing that we just got to cover, stop

(11:03):
to run, try to stop to run went up front,
but cover and coverage because Chadliss isn't running. I felt
like to me that was a major a major piece,
or a major question that if you look back on it,
if for certain one reason or another TJ they couldn't
get him out because of the way the defense was playing,

(11:23):
then find find a play call that opens it up
for him. Find a play call. If anyone knows that
a quarterback can ruin a game from this season, it's
me watching Ben State play every single game they lost.
The quarterback ruined the game. From from Oregon to Ucla
to Mendoza, they ruined the game Northwestern, they ruined the

(11:45):
game because they just simple runs and they're not even
Some of those guys aren't even the athlete that Chadliss
is on the field. I thought that was a miss
on ole missus side and they're part of it. But
give a lot of credit to Miami. I mean, this
team has really worked on building you know what what
they're what they are right now and now they're back

(12:06):
in the national title game. Man, I mean, what what's
we'll talk? I mean, we're at the end of this break,
so we'll we'll talk. We'll talk to other the other game,
we'll talk Oregon and Indiana in the next segment. But
but guys, like, was not an impressive enough game for
Miami from you guys to think that they can go

(12:27):
into this championship game and stand up to Indiana.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
For me, I don't think so. I don't think it
was the pressens of enough to say that you can
can't say that they're gonna go into this game probably
being double digit underdogs, especially the way that Indiana's playing.
I think that the difference in that football game to
me was that on first down, Oh Miss couldn't stop

(12:52):
the run, correct, I mean that offensive line dominated Old
Miss on first down. Sitting there watching the game with
my son, you know you're getting second and you're getting
in second and second and two, second and three, they're
getting six seven eight yards of pop on first down.
I mean, what do you call defensively when you know

(13:16):
on second down it's like, no first down, that's a win.
They getting second and three, second and four, And it
just seemed like to me that was the difference in
the game. They rarely was got Miami behind the chains
on first score.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
They were dominating them up front, moving the balls.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
That's what I'm saying. But couldn't score the off wasn't
impressive to me. It wasn't impressive to me from a
passing game standpoint, But it seems like to me, offensively,
Miami is going to hang their hat on the running
game on offense with that offensive line and create pressure.
But with Kane Junior and that defensive line getting pressure

(13:58):
on the quarterbacks. Defensively, that is who Miami is. Carson
Beck is going to make some plays. Everybody knows. Everybody
is seeing how dynamic this kid Malacho Tony is. Get
the ball in his hands, He's going to make plays.
But I just think from a passing game standpoint, I
wasn't overly impressed, especially going against Gimmy to go against Ndiana.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
Listen, man, and for the life of me, I'm watching
this Oregon Indiana game last night.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
I don't understand, Like, why are we game planning this, coaches? Why?

Speaker 6 (14:30):
Like watching that game makes me angry because I'm telling
you all, like, why what does Indiana want to do?
They run the ball more than they pass. It's not
fifty to fifty. They're a running team. When you looked
at the game, how many guys at Oregon have in
a box? Like the first play I don't five guys

(14:52):
in a box. Five guys in a box, and they
did a good job. First played the game. The majority
of the game, Oregon has five six guys in a box.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
Why why? I don't know ask damn dude.

Speaker 5 (15:08):
I'm sitting here watching the game, like, what are you
guys doing? They want to run the ball. They something
to throw the ball on early downs because now when
you're stopping them on if you're stopping them running it
now they're in third long because all they want to
do is getting third and four to six, four to seven.
Now you can run anything quick. Oul's gonna get your

(15:28):
first down, slam, gonna get your anything. And I'm sitting
here watching like why is it a soft box? Why
is it a what? What are they doing?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Because you got the Heisman Trophy?

Speaker 6 (15:40):
Quarter under Yeah, you got quarterback under center. That's super
effective when it's third and short, when it's third short, women,
he spanked them in the passing game once the game
got out of control. No, TJ accurate, Listen, man, that
game was one. It's not occurate. That game was won

(16:02):
by the Indiana defense. And if you the Cariss first
played the game, it was a pixis y'all talking about
the man went seventeen for twenty for five touchdowns. Hey,
twenty passes in the game. Come on, man, what are

(16:23):
y'all doing?

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Bro?

Speaker 6 (16:23):
Y'all played madd and scared. Then y'all run forty times
in past ten. Well you looking at the efficiency and.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
They did not deliver a rusher in the game.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Piece of Kaylon black Man. They they had two runs
called back for sixty yards. Bro, they had two runs
called back.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Two runs.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
All I'm saying is load the box. Make them pass
the ball on the early downs. That's all I'm saying.
Make them pass on the early downs. And if you're
going to continue to run, then you're going to be
in third and shortage. That's all I'm saying. Miami, you
can say what you want to say about how they
played against O miss. I guarantee they load that box
and forced them throwing early down. I bet you they
do that. They bet you they do that.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
If the Miami Hurricanes want to go out on this
football feel and think they're going to pressure for Fernando
vin ben Dozer and play Man the man, these guys
that he has the elite playmakers. Man, I ain't nobody
Milko but Jr. Charlie Becker, Elijah Williams Junr. Man, these
guys are playmakers.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
You can be You look up, you're saying, who happen
is that you can be who they are. You're not
gonna run the ball and pass the ball on me.
You're not doing both. You're gonna no, you're doing one another.
You're not doing both. Well, you're not doing both.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
What do you want? What the past? Man?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
Because I get up. If you go out there play
man the man and I think you're gonna pressure this guy,
rall them, it's not going to happen. Man, It's not
going to happen.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
All right. You haven't really.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
Closest game Indiana had this year was Penn State, Yes
the hard Do you recall that game?

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Yes? I was. Did y'all have pressure on the quarterback?

Speaker 5 (18:09):
We did pretty well, did pretty well, and they barely
got the twenty points. They barely got the twenty points,
So that pressure on the QB obviously doesn't hell of
a job. Everything. They got two kinds in Miami. You
just count Miami. I'm not six to fifteen. I mean
I'm yesterday, Yes, dude, yesterday first played the game.

Speaker 6 (18:29):
Don Tey Moore throws a pick six, they get a
stop and then the running back hits his arm, he fumbles.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, now, hold on, we're
going into let's do that next segment. Let's get a
next sec. Let's get you next segment, because I want
to hear. I want to hear what the matchup looks
like after we discussed what that game looked like, because
that was a massacre that took place yesterday. That was
a Oregon was offered up as as a as a

(18:57):
duck offering to the football gods. And we're gonna get
to that, all right, We're gonna get to that. But
that's t J. Hushman's is plexico Bert obviously is a
heated and spirited conversation about this because I mean, there's
gonna be different opinions on this, because there's so many
different angles, and I don't know that one angle is
more correct or incorrect than the other one. It's just

(19:20):
football guys who are talking football. And I really like
it because I think both both you know you got y'all,
both are making valid points. I mean they're they're valid points.
So let's keep the conversation going on. But let's take
a quick break first. All right, this is up on

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Fellas, we were getting into the whole conversation of what
may take place against Miami and with Indiana and the
championship round. But let's let's recap and let's revisit the
Oregon uh Indiana game. Uh what what was y'all's takeaway

(21:43):
from it? Because to me, I think it's pretty simple.
I mean, Indiana is the momp dominent team. Yeah, go ahead, God,
you gotta play. I mean, that's that's that's what it was.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
I mean, we sitting here and TJ is sitting here
tying to rectify what happened in the game US today
while you and a five and six man bunch.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
I'm gonna say, he tell you like this, man, this.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Is one of the well most well coached outfits that
I have been able to wit the popping in their
last two decades.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Man, these these.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Guys, they are solid top to bottom defensively, the ranked
number two top almost every statistical category, giving up eleven
points a game on defense. And we're so mes marized
by what they are able to accomplish offensively. Nobody's talking

(22:34):
about the defense and they are basically you would not
think that an Indiana football team will only give up
five points to this explosive Oregon offense who we have
seen run up and down the football field on basically
everybody for the last two or three years with Dan

(22:55):
that with Dan Lanning being the head coach. But I'm
just saying, man, these guys that that a Mendoz is
playing with Elijah Charlie Becker. These guys are making plays
in the passing game which are not the easy plays
to make. And if you look at that throat that
he made it in the in the on that route

(23:17):
on the back on the end zone, the way that
Mendoz was ready with threat of that football. I said
to myself, I said, man, This guy here is the
real deal, and this right tells me everything I need
to know about Kurt Signetty. You look at this guy,
Pat Coogan, a junior All American center from Notre Dame,

(23:42):
goes into transfer portal to Indiana, who a team that
just beat previously at home in the first home playoff game.
And you know what he said while he transferred to Indiana,
He said that he wanted to have the opportunity to
win a national champion and ship when just praying the

(24:02):
national championship, when did Indiana become a destination?

Speaker 2 (24:10):
You gotta think he's a spoiled son gun for that Indiana.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Yeah, I want to win a national championship.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Right there tells me everything I need to know about
Signetti and this coaching staff, because you can just look
look at the detail and whish. These guys play to
play the football game. And that is the number one
reason why they are so dominant offensively in defensive because
they don't make mistakes and they can stop you either

(24:45):
way whatever you want to do, running and throwing. And
that's why the reason why these guys are so good. Listen, man,
we everybody watching football nose that Indiana's good. You're not
fifteen and as without being good. Everybody knows that. Everybody
knows they're well coached. Everybody knows they don't have five

(25:06):
star recruits.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
We know that. We all know Kurt signety has done
hell of a job. A blind man can see that.
Indiana was a basketball school and they were barely that
the last few years, and now they're the best team
in college football.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
We all know that. My point is this, during this break,
I just looked up some stuff. Come on, man, they
have run the ball six hundred and seventeen times this season.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
They can run they can run six no no, no, no,
no no.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
And they got to run six running plural, six hundred
and seventeen times. They've run the ball, they passed it
three hundred and seventy nine times.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Balanced that that's balanced to you. Balanced.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
If you was on that team, you'd be mad. The
only thing that would keep it like that, there was
like that, no no, no, no, no, no, onlything. And if
you're winning, where everybody's happy.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
If you're winning. If you're losing, you're upset about it.
But because they're winning, it's not a big deal. All
I'm saying is this, if you want to run the
ball that much on early downs. I'm going to try
to force you to throw it because your first two possessions.
If I load the box and you come out, run
on first and second down and you get a game
and one maybe two. Now you're in third long something

(26:32):
you're not very familiar with.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
That's all.

Speaker 8 (26:34):
That's all I'm saying. Tell me, tell me what y'all
the game, no game.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Game.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
If you a team and the evict offensively, what do
you have to be able to do?

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Offensively?

Speaker 2 (27:03):
You got to run.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
You got to run to run the football. Of course,
you gotta be able to run the football. Yeah, big
tim football.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Now, they just happened to have a Heisman Tropy Canada
a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
If you win him, that's a great court, that's a great.

Speaker 6 (27:20):
We all know this though, man is you want to
make a team one dimensional if you can. You want
to make a team one dimensional if you can.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
That can't. You can't, you can't.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
You can't. With Indiana, though, I would say, the reality
here is I don't think you can make them one
dimensional because throws the ball too well. I think he
has a boys about him. He has got great.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Throw at thirty five times I want to see how
well you know, anybody been able to make Indiana was
dimensional t J. Well, well, I'm damn sure about to
try if i'm But this is the thing though, Miami
the same way. Miami want to play this same way.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
It's the same way, the same way it's going to
be because they want to run the ball that they
ahead of the of the chains. They definitely stay ahead
of the chains. Again, I don't understand how Miami didn't
start to dominate Old Miss because they could not stop them.
You guys mentioned it could stop the run early on,

(28:26):
they stalled out. I don't know that it was penalties.
It was like you allow with sack hair you did
a play action there, and and and blitz would a
you know, with a stunt on it got home or it.
I don't want to call it flukey because I mean,
this is the semi finals, right, this is the game
before the biggest game. But it just seemed like Old

(28:48):
Miss was getting like Priers answered and in some of
those early drives because I would have just pushed them
over the ledge like like the Spartans did. And three,
they were not stopping them in the run. They were
not was dropping some dimes out the lava on offense,
but they couldn't stop them on defense. And you're talking

(29:10):
about in a game where keeping Trinidad off the field
was going to be the best defense that you could
bring to the table. And scoring on drives, scoring on drives,
if you think about it, like first quarter, they only
scored three points and they were dominant. They were dominant

(29:30):
up front. Now it led to fourteen in the second,
but if you're talking about if they were able to
continue to run, you might only have one one or
two at the most, you might only have one or
two possessions if if you're Old Miss because of the
way they were able to run the ball and sustain

(29:52):
the drives with the run. I'm just saying I think
it plays out as a different game if they run
the on state state committed to it. But now I
say that to say, I don't think that. I don't
think that they're going to be able to have the
success up front that they had against Ole Miss. I

(30:14):
do not see them having that type of handle on
Indiana's defense and their defensive front like they did in
this this last game. And can bet can he do
it in the passing game? Passing game.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Y'all know.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Do y'all know how many first round picks Miami is
supposed to have on this offensive line in the next
couple of years. Y'all do follow football, right, y'all do
y'all do follow recruited right?

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Gosh? All right? All right?

Speaker 5 (30:42):
Do you want you to just come out and just
say you don't like India? I want you to know
you love Miami.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
You know?

Speaker 6 (30:47):
No, no, no, no, I like Actually, I like the underdog.
I like the underdog. I'm just giving analysis on what
I see. I like the underdog. I like Miami under
what other dog? Indiana has always been the underdog. So
I like teams that kind of come from nowhere and
surprise people. What I'm saying is, I'm surprised that teams

(31:13):
and coaches are giving him a light box to on
first and second down.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
That's all I'm saying that. That's pretty just because we
don't understand because we went away from coaching. Hey yeah, yeah,
y'all been away from y'all been away from from.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
We don't know what. I like boxes.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
I heard him he get to stay tight on the
c if he wanted to start shooting.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Hey, LeVar really had boots on the ground for a
long time. Man LeVar To took a step back, but
he was really boots and he was there right there.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I was coaching. I was, But I will say I
have been paying attention on a different scale of it
just because of you know, all the guys that are
out there playing. But I got you. I mean you did.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
You did coach this year, and you.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Did get a state title at the largest at the
at the highest level. Shots out the TJ shot what
what what is it? You could drink your name of
y'all school, right, Margarita, Like that's where he went.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
No, I don't like the narrative that I don't like Indiana.
I am a fan up the underdog because I was underdog.
You guys weren't up, y'all.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
Weren't me here, y'all, y'all, y'all were Fernando Mendo He
kind of was underdog.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
What I'm y'all were Miami, y'all were working.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
That was y'all. I'm Indiana really for real? If we
really come on now?

Speaker 2 (32:41):
All right, well, I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna put
you onto a five star. His name is Isaac long Crawn.
Let's get a trending right now, only.

Speaker 9 (32:52):
Because it didn't go up to six stars, you know
what I mean? Guys.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
How you guys doing. Let's start with another busy day
and the NFL executive and coaching carousels. The Atlanta Falcons
today hired former quarterback Matt Ryan as the new president
of football Operations. He played fourteen seasons for the Falcons,
the NFL's MVP in twenty sixteen, when he helped lead
them to Super Bowl fifty one. The Miami Dolphins have
reached out to former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh about

(33:18):
their head coaching job. The Athletic meanwhile reported today that
back on Tuesday, Harbaugh was fired by the Ravens via
a phone call while he was driving home from the
team facility. Wow, after eighteen years, I'm just saying. The
Cleveland Browns will interview Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Munkin for
their head coaching job. Today, the Washington Commanders named quarterbacks

(33:41):
coach David Blau as their new offensive coordinator. Finally, fell As,
it's pop quiz time. As you guys have been discussing
the college football playoff national Championship game is set, the
matchup between Indiana and Miami at hard Rock Stadium, and
right in front of me, I have the real time
ticket prices on the secondary market. So here we go,

(34:04):
fifty yard line, row eight, behind the Indiana bench. I
want you guys to each guest how much one ticket
is going for right now on the secondary market for
the National Championship game. Fifty yard line A throw behind
the Indiana bench.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Twenty gs.

Speaker 6 (34:21):
They'll know, man ain't crazy that it can't be no
more than five dollars.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say two thirteen.

Speaker 9 (34:27):
Twenty all right, Actually we got LeVar is the closest
fourteen thousand, nine ninety seven dollars.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
But I'm connected to this game, though, I know what
it is to go do.

Speaker 9 (34:38):
Okay, all right, all right, hot shot here, all right,
hot shot, Let's see how you do with this one
last one here. Now we're going to the upper deck
behind one of the end zones. This is a section
three thirty two upper deck behind one of the end zones.
How much one ticket.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
That's the that's the two g's right there, okay.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
Two thousand, yeah, yeah, it got to be about eighteen
undred fifteen dollars.

Speaker 9 (35:01):
Okay, actual retail price section three point thirty two for
one ticket four thousand and one, one hundred and seventy.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
I think gonna be jam packing.

Speaker 9 (35:12):
Brouh you got jam pack took up path market value.
It's all about market value.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Back to you, guys, appreciated iland We're gonna take a
quick break. Hey, listen, this whole first hour, we're just
gonna go. We're just gonna go college football. So we'll
come back and continue the conversation on on the college
football playoff. Hour two. We got cups to the Legend
coming in. He's gonna have to do some football talk today.
Uh yeah, And so are y'all out there listening. I'm
sure y'all doing some football talk. We're gonna continue it

(35:39):
to go on. All right, make sure y'all stay locked in,
tuned in. This is up on Game Fox Sports Radio.

(36:23):

out the end of the hour. Obviously we needed to
have a special up on game. Special show that's just
straight playoff talk on what's going on, because I even
want to get to this transfer portal talk. There's kind
of a conversation that's developing that I want to get
y'all's opinion on, and we'll get to that inn hour two.

(36:46):
But before we get to hour two and Cuffs will
be on real quick. How do y'all see this game
playing out in the College Football Championship? I mean, ironically
or coincidentally, you know, Miami gets it to be somewhat
of a home game. They're playing at home, the friendly

(37:07):
confines of where they always play. Does that play a
part in this? How y'all see it?

Speaker 6 (37:14):
I mean the way Indiana travel yesterday it seemed like
they were playing in Bloomington. It felt like a home
game for the Indiana Hoosiers.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
So oh thiss travels, man, I was surprised and travels.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
Yes, and so that that shocked me. But real quick
on Indiana because you know, I'm like, man, they good.
So I'm like, I gotta do some research. Oh you
know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
Players on that team have been in college for four
or five six years.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
That's that's the key they got. That's why they got
adults on that team.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
You got twenty three year olds playing against nineteen and
twenty year olds.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
That matters.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
It does matter.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
That's a absolute what's the difference when you got dudes
twenty three years old and you got a nineteen twenty
year old block and.

Speaker 6 (38:05):
You were trying to block you. That matters. But Miami
should have an advantage.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
But the game that I watched last night, that I swear,
I was like, wait, this looked like a home game
for Indiana.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
You don't see it was all red, no green.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Yeah, yeah, I mean.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
I don't know, hey, man, looking at Indiana right now,
it doesn't matter where those guys play yet. I mean
the way they're playing a game of football right now,
and the way they're beating people.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
I think Miami is going to get caught up in
the whole fact that they think that even though they're
playing at home, it's going to be an advantaged I
don't think it's going to be an advantage for them,
but just off of the myth what TJ was saying,
Indiana travels very well. It just happens to be that
Miami Hurricanes are going to be playing at home.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
And the whole irony.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Of it, all that you have to love is that
the Hosmit Trophy winner, Fernando Mendoza is from Miami. The Yes,
he's playing in his home state for school that didn't
even recruit him when he was coming. All things are
coming into fruition and I think it's it's a great

(39:16):
story for Indiana, obviously where they have come from under Signetti,
the Miami Hurricanes, the powerhouse that they were.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Two decades ago.

Speaker 5 (39:27):
They're playing at their home stadium and Fernando Mendoza is
coming home. So I can't wait to see it. I
think it's gonna be a great game.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
I think it's interesting. Mendoza's dad played with Crystal Ball
in high school. Cristal Ball played his football at Miami
and now is coaching his team for National Champion Championship.
