of Lebron. I'm kind of torn on his destination right
now that he's choosing. Because I actually spoke to my
guy last week. You know, he messaged me directly and
asked my two cent about his next move man. And
I've I've been torn back and forth the last couple
of days on the teams that he told me directly,

like his four teams fourteen race. But I think it's
kind of narrowed down to like three teams now, so
I'm ready to talk about it.

Cous After an opinion out during the week, and I
was told that it's the worst take I've ever had
in my entire career as media, and I'm just curious
as to what your take to my thought was. I
basically said, there are maybe three teams that if Lebron

James went to the team, what actually it would yield
him a championship. There's no other teams that he should
want to go to, because you just it's a crap
shoot in terms of if you think they're going to
have a real, real.

Chance to win it.

I mean, you can look at it and say, yeah,
it looks like it. But I don't attribute, and I
could be wrong. I could be a horrible person for
saying this. I do not attribute Lebron James as being
the missing piece at this point. I think he will
go somewhere and be a tremendous part and a leader

on court general. But I do not say, Okay, we're
one piece away and at this point it's Lebron. Now
that's the first part of it. You might already think
I'm crazy. Here's the second part.

My next take was two of those teams that I'm
thinking about, I mean, because Philly is one of them,
but I just don't know if Philly is Philly's just
going to be Philly. They ain't won a championships in forever.
But you look at San Antonio, you look at Okac.
Those are young teams. They have great players, and they

have so many great players that it runs into their
their bench. Now, maybe san Antonio wasn't as deep as
they could have been, or didn't use their guys. Maybe
okayc wasn't in the act. Though I felt like they
were pretty deep, but maybe they weren't as deep as
they could have been, or with the trust and the playoffs.
But you're talking about a super long season. A whole

lot of things are going to take place. Is it
crazy to think that if Lebron went to a San
Antonio or Okac, that being the six man off the
bench would be advantageous to not only the team but
to Lebron James and the duration of that season.

Call me crazy, gut.

Well, there's no way in the blue hell that Lebron
James is coming off the bench as a six man
right now. You know, there's no way that's going to happen.
But if you go back and watch the NBA Finals,
if you plug in Lebron James at the small four
position for the Spurs, you know they had Julian Champagnee,

they had Devin Vitsell, they had those guys.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
But if you would have plugged him in at that
four or the three spot as a starter.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
Would have beat Yeah, as a starter, they would have
beat the New York Knicks because the Spurs lost that
series because of their immaturity in those clut situations, those
those tight moments. They lost the series in those moments,
and Mitt Johnson played a huge role in while they
lost two. I mean he was He caught a lot
of backlash for not calling tom outs, not making adjustments.

But Lebron James, even at forty one years old, is
still one of the best leaders in Floyd general.

And he's still in my opinion and a lot of.

Other basketball fans and media people's opinion, he's still a
top ten, top fifteen player in the playoffs. Like who
would you rather want in the playoffs?

But as far as OKC, I could never see him
going there. They're already super stacked. The only reason they
lost against the Spurs was because aj Mitchell and Jayalen
Wims were injured.

I feel like, but if I'm looking at the Sixers,

Teams I have right now for Lebron is my personal
favorite is the Philadelphia seventy Sixers, and that's in due
part to ty Reech Maxie. Tyreech Maxie is who I
consider a top two or three guard in the Eastern Conference.
I mean, we've seen him. He's super, super aggressive. Officially

he's been an All Star now he is really the
catalyst to the Sixers team has the same representation he's
been clutched sports. Him and Lebron have trained together the
last couple offseasons, so they built a hes rapport. And
you got to look at the Jalen Brown. The addition
of Jalen Brown changed everything. And I've talked directly with Lebron,

like I know, people look at the comments that Jalen
Brown made about Brownie a couple of years ago at
Summer League that went viral. Lebron doesn't care about any
of that stuff, man, He don't care about the little
petty stuff. He wants to win and if he has
a chance to team up with Tyree's Maxi and vj Edgcomb.
By the way, who with a top three rookie last year,

a two way player for the Philadelphia seventy six er
super Athletic. You have the best young backcourt in the
Eastern Conference. Jalen Brown. But the real question mark as
far as the Philadelphia seventy six er situations, in my opinion,
is Joel Embiid. Joel Embiid when healthy, we all know
he's arguably top two or the best big man in

the league. He's right there with the Kolya Jokic as
far as her skill pure talent.

He's won a MVP. He's a walking bucket.

But Joe omb has never been healthy. I say the
last what four to five years, right, he hasn't been
healthy for a regular season. He wasn't healthy in the
playoffs this year. That's why Philly flamed out. I'm looking
at the sixerth as one of the top three options
for Lebron. But the teams that I feel like it
just feels right, It just feels right to me as

a fan, like it feels right. Is the Miami Heat.

It's so much unfinished business there, and people been asking me, like,

like on his last leg as far as he was

played the Spurs in twenty fourteen. You know, Chris Bosh
was injured that season. Lebron had to.

roster there starting to fill that roster out.

went back to Cleveland, he delivered a championship in twenty sixteen,
and it would be a great sentimental heartstring story, you know,
bring your son Brownie back with you and ride off

basketball fit, LeVar the Miami heat Man. I got my
Miami heat gear right now. I got my heat gear

right now in the vault. I'm ready to pull it out, man,
because I don't know.

Something's telling me in my gut it might really be
the Miami heat Man. From what I'm hearing, I.

been a star with the Celtics all these years. He's
used to dominate in the basketball. That's part of the

reason why, to be honest, the Celtics traded him because Jason,
him and Jason Tatum were kind of always fighting for
that that that top spot, you know, that that alpha
spot on the Celtics.

So now you've been Georgia and you have yeah, Pippin

can set the table for Jannis and Bam and still

to go up if he goes to Miami and he
can just be an overall Floyd general and he doesn't

have to put so much wear and tear on his

the league. You know, you see him emerging the playoffs.

You got Ao de Monsau came over from the Bulls.
He had a career high in the playoffs. The timber
Wolves look great on paper, and I feel like, I mean,
would it be to see Lebron go to Minnesota and
deliver a championship to a franchise that everybody just views
as like just they never got over the hump. You know,
they had a couple good years with Kevin Garnett. They

had a couple of good years with Adman, But like,
wouldn't that cement your goat status if you win a
chip with a Timberwolves.

I don't know that it cements you as a goat,
but it definitely would be very, very entertaining to see
it happen, to see it take place. It's going to
be interesting, well, all right, because we got to get
to the break. But what's the time frame? Like, give
me a quick, quick, one two answer. What's the timeframe
on on a decision you think?

I don't think we're gonna see a decision anytime soon
because he just flat out taking his time with this
because it's such a monumental choice for him as his
last time doing this. So I don't think he's in
any rush. And it's still free agency, by the way,
so you still got little pieces being filled with certain
rosters that.

He that he's looking at. So it's not gonna be
anytime soon. I think he just he's taking his time
for sure.

you this twenty twenty sixth class might be one of
the best we've seen Cuffs in a really, really long time.
You got the main event with the Bonsa and Peterson.
That's a that's a day winner right there. Everybody circled it.

How how are you looking at the summer league? What's
what's your information?

top four guys that matchups before we get into like
the breakdowns of the players and the matchups we've seen
the last two nights.

Okay, Like I think I think all four of these
guys from top to bottom, like DAVONSA.

Peterson, Bozer, and Kayleb Wilson if you watch, if you
watched them in their summer league performances, I think all
four of these top draft picks have landed in the
perfect situation for them to grow and develop. And you
don't hardly usually see that often with drafts, Like some
guys fall to the wrong team, sometimes you know they
fall to the wrong situation.

All of these guys.

Are in perfect situation for them to really to grow
like the bossor you saw him. He had twenty seven
the first night, Darren Peterson had twenty four. Then last
night I stayed up watching that with Caleb Wilson.

And Cameron Boozer went at it.

And you know last year at US he and Duke,
you know, the second time they played each other. I
was at the Duke in Carolina game in Cameron and
you know Caleb Wilson, he had the injury, he didn't
get to play, and he was on the bitch that night,
and you would he was so engaged, he was so
eager to get out there because he is a competitor.
And last night you saw him. He broke the Summer

League record for rookie debut with thirty five. He hit
seven threes last night. That's more threes than he hit
the entire year at UNC last year.

So a lot of people were.

Questioning whether or not, you know, Cayleb Wilson's jump shot,
his mechanics were good enough, or was he a good
enough shooter. I think he answered a lot of those
questions last night. And just watching Kayleb Wilson, I see
I just see some Kevin Garnett, That's what I call him.
I'll see like I see some of Zembas with Kevin Garnett.
I see some Kawhi Leonard tenacity on defense. I mean

he's blocking shots, he started to chase down block he
got last night and transition. Like all of these guys,
I feel like all for of these guys could have
been the number one pick, Like Cameron Boozer last night,
he played well, He had twenty three and six, did.

A lot atension. Boozer didn't get a lot of attention
coming out of the draft. Why do you think that is?

I would have thought that the noise of the sound
on him would have been a little bit higher the pitch,
the focus might have been a little bit higher on him.
But it hasn't been. Like, it hasn't been crazy. He's
been focused in on other prospects.

Like I'm glad you said that because, like I think,
going into the into the draft, like people were questioning
his athleticism. You know, they were saying he wasn't athletic enough.

Those are young teams. They have great players, and they

have so many great players that it runs into their
their bench. Now, maybe san Antonio wasn't as deep as
they could have been, or didn't use their guys. Maybe
okayc wasn't in the act. Though I felt like they
were pretty deep, but maybe they weren't as deep as
they could have been, or with the trust and the playoffs.
But you're talking about a super long season. A whole

lot of things are going to take place. Is it
crazy to think that if Lebron went to a San
Antonio or Okac, that being the six man off the
bench would be advantageous to not only the team but
to Lebron James and the duration of that season.

Well, there's no way in the blue hell that Lebron
James is coming off the bench as a six man
right now. You know, there's no way that's going to happen.
But if you go back and watch the NBA Finals,
if you plug in Lebron James at the small four
position for the Spurs, you know they had Julian Champagnee,

they had Devin Vitsell, they had those guys.

But if you would have plugged him in at that
four or the three spot as a starter.

Would have beat Yeah, as a starter, they would have
beat the New York Knicks because the Spurs lost that
series because of their immaturity in those clut situations, those
those tight moments. They lost the series in those moments,
and Mitt Johnson played a huge role in while they
lost two. I mean he was He caught a lot
of backlash for not calling tom outs, not making adjustments.

But Lebron James, even at forty one years old, is
still one of the best leaders in Floyd general.

favorite is the Philadelphia seventy Sixers, and that's in due
part to ty Reech Maxie. Tyreech Maxie is who I
consider a top two or three guard in the Eastern Conference.
I mean, we've seen him. He's super, super aggressive. Officially

he's been an All Star now he is really the
catalyst to the Sixers team has the same representation he's
been clutched sports. Him and Lebron have trained together the
last couple offseasons, so they built a hes rapport. And
you got to look at the Jalen Brown. The addition
of Jalen Brown changed everything. And I've talked directly with Lebron,

like I know, people look at the comments that Jalen
Brown made about Brownie a couple of years ago at
Summer League that went viral. Lebron doesn't care about any
of that stuff, man, He don't care about the little
petty stuff. He wants to win and if he has
a chance to team up with Tyree's Maxi and vj Edgcomb.
By the way, who with a top three rookie last year,

a two way player for the Philadelphia seventy six er
super Athletic. You have the best young backcourt in the
Eastern Conference. Jalen Brown. But the real question mark as
far as the Philadelphia seventy six er situations, in my opinion,
is Joel Embiid. Joel Embiid when healthy, we all know
he's arguably top two or the best big man in

the league. He's right there with the Kolya Jokic as
far as her skill pure talent.

He's won a MVP. He's a walking bucket.

But Joe omb has never been healthy. I say the
last what four to five years, right, he hasn't been
healthy for a regular season. He wasn't healthy in the

at the sixerth as one of the top three options
for Lebron. But the teams that I feel like it
just feels right, It just feels right to me as

Peterson, Bozer, and Kayleb Wilson if you watch, if you
watched them in their summer league performances, I think all
four of these top draft picks have landed in the
perfect situation for them to grow and develop. And you
don't hardly usually see that often with drafts, Like some
guys fall to the wrong team, sometimes you know they
fall to the wrong situation.

All of these guys.

Are in perfect situation for them to really to grow
like the bossor you saw him. He had twenty seven
the first night, Darren Peterson had twenty four. Then last
night I stayed up watching that with Caleb Wilson.

And Cameron Boozer went at it.

And you know last year at US he and Duke,
you know, the second time they played each other. I
was at the Duke in Carolina game in Cameron and
you know Caleb Wilson, he had the injury, he didn't
get to play, and he was on the bitch that night,
and you would he was so engaged, he was so
eager to get out there because he is a competitor.
And last night you saw him. He broke the Summer

League record for rookie debut with thirty five. He hit
seven threes last night. That's more threes than he hit
the entire year at UNC last year.

So a lot of people were.

Questioning whether or not, you know, Cayleb Wilson's jump shot,
his mechanics were good enough, or was he a good
enough shooter. I think he answered a lot of those
questions last night. And just watching Kayleb Wilson, I see
I just see some Kevin Garnett, That's what I call him.
I'll see like I see some of Zembas with Kevin Garnett.
I see some Kawhi Leonard tenacity on defense. I mean

he's blocking shots, he started to chase down block he
got last night and transition. Like all of these guys,
I feel like all for of these guys could have
been the number one pick, Like Cameron Boozer last night,
he played well, He had twenty three and six, did.

A lot atension. Boozer didn't get a lot of attention
coming out of the draft. Why do you think that is?

I would have thought that the noise of the sound
on him would have been a little bit higher the pitch,
the focus might have been a little bit higher on him.
But it hasn't been. Like, it hasn't been crazy. He's
been focused in on other prospects.

Like I'm glad you said that because, like I think,
going into the into the draft, like people were questioning
his athleticism. You know, they were saying he wasn't athletic enough.
You know, he wasn't explosive enough. He doesn't play above
the realm like cayleb Wilson or devonsta Right, and I
think a lot of people are gonna look back in
ten to twelve years. It's gonna be a lot of

people eating warm humble pie. It's gonna be a lot
of humble pie being served. Because that kid man you
saw him last night, even in the first game he played,
he's shooting.

He's shooting the dirt. Newinsky's fate, the bump fate off
of one leg. He got all them he got.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
He's only eighteen years though. Oh by the way, for
a lot of people are.

Not to understanding. He is eighteen years old.

And if you just look at his fundamentals, he's so
fundamentally sound. His offensive toolboxes is so polished for an
eighteen eighteen year old kid. And you gotta tip your
hat to his pops, Carlos Boozer, because you could tell
he had those boys in the lab at a very
young age, just working on the core fundamentals.

So I'm telling.

People now, I stopped early in Cameron Boozer in Memphis.
He's down there with Zach Edie. They just got Isaiah
Stewart from the Pistons.

They got a nice young nucleus.

They got Cedric Coward on the team, a nice wing.
They got a nice little team they're building in Memphis.
But he's gonna get a chance to make those mistakes
learn on the fly. He's not pressure to be like,
you know, like a superstar. He got some good veterans
around him. I think cam Booz is gonna be an
all star man. A lot of people gonna eat their
words when it comes down, because a lot of people

were saying he's gonna be a bus you know. Like
I said, he can't play above the ram. I think
all that stuff is overrated in over values. If you can,
just if you can put the ball in the basket,
and you're that fundamentally sound and skilled, you're gonna find
your way.

He has the pedigree to do it.

But the guy that really impresses me out of all
those four and looking at it, I think Darren Peterson.
I haven't haven't seen a shooting guard coming to the
league offensively polished, where if you just look at him,
I see Kobe.

I know it sounds like a lot of.

Other people are seeing the same seeing the same thing
with him, but I'm seeing Kobe and Ray Allen. I'm
seeing like the younger version of Ray Allen, but with

coming to the NBA that can.

Like if you just look at Peterson, if you look
at Peterson in the Summer League, it looks like he's

ever in my life, Like who who's ever been a

I watched because Anthony Davis was kind of on the
fence for a while whether he wasn't really sure if
