Speaker 2 (00:26):
We're back and in action. Covino Enrich. The whole team
is here. Well, Dan Bayer just got off the air,
so that means we got the cry.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
He's part of the team. It's not a part of
the c But I mean Rich is back in Stuardio.
I mean you told me that Dan Buyer's like Montana.
But you look at the kron as you're Steve young
lady to step in there, you know what.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I look at them the way my mom says she
looks at her kids. She loves them all the same. No,
I disagree with that statement. No one loves their kids
the same. You just go through stages of who you
like more at that time.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
They're all different. I love them all.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Iowa, Sam is here Fox Sports Radio Nation. Thank you
for being here. Covino and Rich and we be rocking out.
Let's go by the way, hope you had.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
A Max Holloway, yady.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Him Max hallow mearly do anything? Yeah, he got paid
and did nothing. Yeah, he got paid. He got McGregor's
name under his record, and he did nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Can I tell you what Max Holloway did was the
equivalent of some Iroy influencer that gets paid to show
up somewhere seriously, and here he showed up sixty nine
seconds of disappointment for Connor McGregor.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I hope your weekend was better than his. That's what
she said. By the way.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, I think a lot of us probably lasted more
than Connor McGregor did. So wait, question, I have a
dirty question to thought the show. No, would you say
sixty nine seconds?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
It was yeah, sixty.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Wait wait a second, Rich, if listeners are in the
car and there's kids present, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
You're give him a moment camouflage it.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, all right, you and your trash bag of a mind. Hey,
it's got me this far. Gut her boy, So gut
her boy.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
They call you cut her boy, So I thought it
was tiger boy. Got her ball. Rich.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I'm gonna pose this kindly do you think you could
last with the dream girl of your choice longer than
Connor McGregor lasted in that ring? Like I was saying,

(02:29):
whatever the dream girl is, if she's some random smut
star and actress you and let's just say a player
on the fever, perhaps, Sam, do you think you.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Last longer with Sophie Cunningham or Conna McGregor in the
ring pad the fifth on that one? Yeah? Yeah, it's
a family show, rich man. You're really taking us down
to a really low level. Can you just think of
dot MATI Matings mustache both cause your knees to buckles.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, you know, I do think they both make you
weaken the knees, as Holloway said.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
But to think, by the way, Condimer greg stayed from
sex just for.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That Oh my god, it all ties together, guys.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I'm not just the toilet mouth. That's a true story.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
He said he did possible, no alcohol, no sex, was
diligent in the gym, got down to one seventy, slim
and trim and fit, ready to kick some ass. And
what did we say? And I hate being that show.
I said, I'll do it for you, guys.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Thank you, Danny, all right, the two of you last
week said ring rust is a real thing and it
was going to affect McGregor in a major way.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
And even if you looked good sparring and in the gym,
it didn't mean anything until he got in that octagon
because your adrenaline levels next level, and when you're not
getting those reps, you lose a little something no matter
what it is, right, and what does this guy do
He comes out there, he lets the adrenaline. Well, you
know what, let's start from the beginning is Coveno and
Rich because the last one standing we were giving away prizes.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
We have lots to talk about.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
We got home run derby baseball and more, but this
weekend was all about World Cup action actually own and
of course UFC. By the way, pose that question to
your buddies later. Sorry if there's kids in the car,
but that is a good one.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
It is a good one.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Can you serve Let's just say, survive longer than connimercratch.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
We just got all the listeners back who turned their
volume back up.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Okay, sorry, Rich is really harping on this hypothetical here,
So well, I guess I asked you earlier this morning
when we were having a cup of coffee doing our
Patreon I said, do you think the average athletic guy
could have just float around the octagon and dodged and
he kicked and punches.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Holloway would have you in a hold and you'd be
submitting intention. I would do you think you can run
away from Holloway for sixty nine seconds away?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
You know, like eventually he would fight him like a
Jerry Lewis in that fighting Irish stance. See, let's start
from the beginning. Holloway's announced. That dude has a spring
in his step. He's hyped up, he's jumping off the cage,
he's running around the octagon. You can tell he's got
some some adrenaline going right. McGregor is announced and he

(05:04):
looks overly confident. There's no bouncer skipping his step at all.
And then in retrospect, we didn't notice it at the time,
but what I did notice is like he's just walking around.
He's not bouncy or springy the way Holloway was. Not
only is he not bouncy or springy, we we saw
afterward that when he was taking off his flip flop
that it did look a little shake.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Yeah, he was not.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
He was not springing around like a tigger from Winnie
the Pooh, But during that moment you speak of, they
showed it afterwards. When he's taken off his flop getting
into the ring, he gives a little like you know
when you're when you're a little tweaked up on a
like your nurse and something like a little like a oh, yeah,
you're playing you know when you're playing sports and you're like,
ohmi tight, Like yeah, maybe we're over speculating. We'll take

(05:50):
your thoughts. Fox Sports Radio Nation. He's eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox, and I gotta say too, I'm like,
you know, if you saw the fight, I think most
of us, A lot of us saw the fight because
Paramoun really coming in solid with this option. It really
works out if you have Paramount and you're able to
watch these big events. Can I tell you this is
a long awaited event, the long awaited return, all the

(06:10):
hype leading up to this, and what does McGregor do.
He looks like he's not really pumped, but then I
guess the adrenaline does get to him when the bell
rings and he does some sort of Van Damn roundhouse kick,
some sort of Bruce Leie excited to be their kick,
some se fight, some.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Street fighter, you know, lay long maneuver.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
When this guy's known for being one of the greatest
strikers of all time. Why not come out there, let's
see some see some hand. You want to start this
party with a bang. And what happens. He lands on
that knee the wrong way. We think he starts to
slip and turns out he just can't stand.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
The fight is called. In sixty nine seconds.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
The emotion closing the oceans you had as a fan,
just in sixty nine seconds. We're all over the place
said first like, oh man, because when he fell and slipped,
you didn't think injury. You thought, oh man, Holloway's got
him now already. So and then he gets up and
you're like, oh, then he slipped again and you're like,
is he slippery? Is it?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
What's going on? That's what everybody thought. Everyone was so confused.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
And then when the ref gash minute, you thought maybe
they were gonna give him a second to address something.
I know that's unconventional, but sometimes they might be like
hold on, maybe like a brace, or maybe sometimes they'll
give someone a second right, maybe low blow.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
We didn't see.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I don't know, but when the ref does the like
fights over, I remember being like, I'm sorry, what, dude.
Even Daniel LaRussa came out after Miyagi took care of
him with a bum. Ny McGregor was done in sixty
nine seconds. And I hate to say that we told
you so because it would have been a cool story

(07:50):
to see a nice comeback.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
But you're all there, you're bewildered.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I'm thankful that and have people over or it didn't
go out for this because that would have been and
like such a let down.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
I watched it at home.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That would have been such a like a well think
about it. Think of how many people did We'll figure
out how many people had money on it.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Then about the people who flew into Vegas for Drake
have a million dollars?

Speaker 1 (08:16):
And I just stayed home.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
But McGregor went to social media afterward because there was
immediate speculation and if you missed any of it, I
got to pull this up for you. While you pull
that up, could I say that I'm not quite sure
someone's ever lost a million dollars on a bet quicker.
The fact that Drake publicly bet a million dollars.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Who does he think? I know he thinks he's drake
because he is. What do you think you are? Do
you think you are? You're betting a million dollars. Slow
down there, hot shot. Fastest way to lose a million dollars.
It's that way.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Connor McGregor went to social media immediately and he said,
my head gasket is gone.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I don't know that expression, but.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Probably gasket is mentally just you know, how do you
deal with something like that destroyed?

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:57):
I had, and he made it clear, guys, but we
got to speculate on this regardless, because people are and
we got to get to the bottom of it. I
had no injury slash injuries going into the fight. I
was throwing kicks, planted and jumping all throughout camp as
well as backstage. Before the fight. This came out of nowhere.
I'm beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.

(09:19):
And then he went on again, want to hear what else?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
He said? I do? Actually, I was so sharp, like
iron mic.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
He didn't say that part. I was so sharp, like
shutting and so ready for this fight. I cannot believe
what has happened. The talk of me being off while
walking into this fight is nonsense. I was calm, ready
and confident. I'm in shock with what has taken place.
The devil is literally staring at me right now in
front of my face, and I'm not engaging. I will

(09:51):
be at church tomorrow. I will overcome this. I will
not be deterred. I will return. And it's like, hey, man,
I'd love to see that, but I think that's a
big mistake. You took five years off father Time one.
You're thirty seven years old. You're gonna try to come
back from this. It'd be a great story. You're thirty
seven years old. That's young in life, but that's older
in the octagon when you're not fighting consistently. And this

(10:13):
is a tough injury to overcome. His last dude defeats arguably,
warn't defeats. His body gave out on Connor beat Connor. Yeah,
it's not like something his ass and it's like he
doesn't have it anymore.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
His body is sending a message.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
You could say his last three fights, because even the
canceled one with Chandler was a toe injury or whatever,
so you could say that he's not getting beat but
there's a clear message from someone saying, hey, yeah, dude,
it's not in the cards any five years.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Ago, Poorier. He got the broken fibia, the broken leg.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Then he was supposed to fight a few years ago
against Schandler broken toe or whatever, Pope Decito, and then
we witnessed a great go down.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It's kind of poetic in a way.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
People like to say, man, you hate to see someone
go out like this kind of goes with a story.
He's a dynamic dude, he's the top of the game.
He's a goat. He's a legend. Like you know, when
when the story's told years from now and that's how
it ends, it's kind of like very theatrical, you know,
like he died.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
On his own sword. He went out kicking, and that
was it. Who lives, who dies? Who tells your story?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:13):
So I think that is it for Himilton, But I
don't want to write his story. He's he's the be
all end all here when it comes to what's next
for him. But we want to go to your thoughts
because there is a lot of speculation rich on the
injury and now he's saying there's no injury. But guess what,
chicken butt he can't admit that there was an injury

(11:33):
or a pre existing injury because there would be legalities
involved and get me gambling and injuring and UFC in contracts.
Imagine you had money on him and he knew of
a pre existing injury.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
That's not how it goes. Yikes. But why cowpi? You
know again we already said Drake had a million dollars
on it. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
It's to me, it's you know, writing's on the wall.
It's it's just time. It says oil Roy was here
for a good time, called rich Davis Brooks. It says
father's time is under undefeated Brooks.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Brooks was here, Yeah, he was.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
So your thoughts on the fight, because there's another question
that's posed to it, is that it By the way,
is that a story if you're at an event like that,
like you saw like Nick Bosa and Joe Burrow and
Mike Tython and like all these pact and we're there
with Tucker Carthin what a combo?

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Huh? How were there with Tucker Carvin? We had a
lath into the fight.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
But you know, it brought me back to remember when
I beat Michael Spink the ninety second, if not the
first time, people were like, oh, I need to do
that all the time in the first round. I do
think there were other great fights on them on the card,
but nonetheless you go there and you're like you have
with that Patty Pinblez fight also went quick, even though
it was like just a dominant performance, it was a quick,

(12:46):
quick fight. I posted a question on social media over
the weekend. We got a lot of great feedback. By
the way I posted that video and how were there
with Vin Vaughn and mel Gabathan.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
We had a good time file is that?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
By the way, I posted the question, in recent sports history,
what's the most disappointing like grand opening, grand closing? And
I narrowed it down to three and they want to
add to it. Yeah, that's the second part of the
car The first part is the hey, do you believe
that he was hurt and you think he'll come back?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Second part is Rich's theory here.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah, but I said in recent history, the grand opening,
grand closings, where it's like, oh, man, Gina Carano, but
could you know would argue that did you really expect
a lot from her?

Speaker 5 (13:24):
She hadn't fought in over a decade, I think we
expected a little more than that.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, but it's a little bit and fought in seventeen
years Connor McGregor after waiting five years, the intro, all
the montages, the ring entrance, everything, and then dude, that
you you nailed it to. Those montages were so you
know he it is who he is. He was just
arrogant about how much he was going to.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Destroy Holloway and then it was like the best featherweight
since Spruce Lee.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Such a build up, Yeah, and then a minute later
it's like, gone, fights Offrah And you know the one
that comes to mind the most from me. We all
know big NFL fans. You could picture Aaron Rodgers running
in with the running in with the American fight first
series for the Jets. I remember I was at a
sports bar right at the block, Sam, you know mister

(14:13):
Furley's down the block here.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Yeah, I was like, I'm a bigger fan of mister
Roper's is further down the block. You like missus Roper.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
She was horned up, missus miss Stanley. Stanley did not satisfy.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
She was Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Her and Mona from Who's the Boss? I don't know
who wanted it more anyway, Hey, family show settled down
when when you're when you're watching that Aaron Rodgers moment
that's got that might be number one.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Because.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, just because of the steaks. Might have been the third,
just because of the stakes involved. Meaning we're talking full
season game one. Here we go. The fight's the fight, right,
it's over.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Move along. But when Aaron Rodgers, I remember.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Being Aaron Rodgers played exactly four snaps before suffering the
torn Achiles, the torny kill. He's in twenty twenty three
when Aaron Rodgers went down sacked by Bill's rusher Leonard Flood.
There was something so New York Jets about it, something
so Aaron Rodgers about it, something so like what.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Important? Come on, I would say, that's still the number one.
Is Rogers number one? Yeah, because it affected the entire season.
I got another one.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
You and I were working at ESPN at the time,
and I remember watching this game with you when Kevin
Durant came back a little early. Remember He's like, I
think I could do it. Yeah, And then you saw.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
That's a good one for the conversation. He saw the
leg you know, like I would say.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Aaron Rodgers is number one, and then this Connor McGregor
moment was number two. And what adds insult to the
injury pun intended is that this is how his last
fight ended. It's his body wearing down, breaking down, it's
him not being committed to the fight game. I know
mentally he is. No one knows fighting more than Connor McGregor,

(15:58):
no one bleeds fighting than him. But he's not consistent
for years and years and years. It's not sort of
who he is anymore. You know, he's a businessman now,
he's his own business. It's not just Connor McGregor the fighter.
So you know when that's no longer your every day
and then you try to get out there at full
speed against a Max Holloway, who's no chump. You know
he had no warm up fights. He's going out there

(16:19):
against another great who's been active. I think we said
eight Holloway had eight fights since McGregor's last. You can't
go out there and expect that, and it ended sixty
nine seconds in. When a fighter goes down right away
or something like that happens.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
I have two more examples.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I might need Isaac's help on identifying the year of
one of them, because I know he's a guru. I'm
a big Niners fan. I'm pretty sure that he was
ninety eight Steve Young and this team battled. It was
the year I believe that the Falcons went on to
lose the Super Bowl to the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
But I remember on the first series, I believe.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Or so, Garrison Hurst went down, and you know when
one of your key players goes down in a big
game and you're like, that's it, it's over. Do you
remember the Bowl game? I believe it was the National Championship.
My wife's trim Texas, so I remember it was early
on and they had me in the two thousands when
Colt McCoy was it the first series or so. It

(17:21):
was very early in the game where he goes down
and you're like, oh, this.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Stinks, and the game was the game was over from
that point out.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
Hold on, No, they got Alabama got out to a
big lead, but I remember Texas with their backup fighting
back a little bit. They made it a game kind of.
But I remember being like, oh, I thought that was
a huge bummer?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Was that, Isaac?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
So?

Speaker 6 (17:45):
The Garrison Hurst injury was on the first play from
scrimmage actually in a playoff game.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, I was gonna say it.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
It was against the Falcons, and I remember being like
the Niners, but maybe they could upset the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
And on the first.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Play precisely it was a nineteen ninety eight season. Ironically,
around that time, Garrison Hurst on opening day of a
season went like eighty five yards for this incredible touchdown
and overtime against the Jets. And the cold McCoy thing
was in twenty ten.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Twenty ten, Okay, Yeah, I just did a search because
I feel like there's other examples of a picture coming
out there, like an ace pitcher and blows out his arm,
like first start of the season, you know, season over.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
I just looked this up.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Dave Treveki famously brew blew out, fractured and fractured his
arm while pitching for the Giants in his second start
of the eighty nine season, after making a celebrated emotional
return from cancer surgery just five days prior.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Oh wow, in his first start of the year.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Question for you, so think about that this guy had
a big time comeback and in his second start after
cancer broke his arm. Can bring up like a really depressing,
terribly sad question. Sure, awesome, right, bring up the mood guys, Sam,
you guys know what we talking. It's smuddy. I'll be sad.
How about that we can always count on you. How
about this rich you and Hillary duff or McGregor. Who

(19:01):
lasts longer? Stop it?

Speaker 1 (19:03):
You see that fight at one of her concerts?

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Yes, who's getting all hot and bothered to get into
a fight at a Hillary got.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
A hair pulling?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah. So here's my question. Has nothing to do with raunch, guys,
so keep you could keep the volume up.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
What is a what is it more?

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I feel for that.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Man or woman moment when I'm talking about injuries on
the field? Is it when an NFL player has to
be put on the cart and you know that they're
thinking this could be it, like this is probably my NFL.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
You're waiting for that thumbs up or something.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
When a pitcher's on the mound they throw a pitch
and you see them like do they like the Oh,
like they know and they know that like that's that's
probably my baseball career. Or a fighter who in an
early round gets a big cut and they know it's
gonna stop the fighter. Anderson Silver when he cracked his
leg and you're like this is like, what what is

(19:57):
the what do you feel the most for? Like when
someone rolls on a lineman's leg when he's on that cart.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
Yeah, the car the worst. What you really are scared
for their Yeah you're hoping thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah you sick. But not only that. What you're thinking
is this person they're not getting up. You know what happened.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
They played their whole life to get to this point
and they might have just played their last snap because
you know how competitive the NFL is, and you're like,
well that they're being carted off. They unless it's a
huge star, there's a good chance it's like, well that's it.
That's why the average NFL player only plays a couple
of years. So the double prong doozy here is McGregor's injury.

(20:40):
Do you believe there's some conspiracy there? Do you believe
he can come back from it? I wish he would.
I mean that would take some crazy determination. That would
be an amazing story. I don't I don't see it happening.
I have a UFC. The only way that it makes
sense to me. And part two is it's easily a
top three read as far as disappointing, injuries, but Aaron

(21:05):
Rodgers still has to be first, that's my opinion.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
So how do you how do you put those? And
are there others that come home.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
So you're most disappointing and yeah, it's gotta be Aaron Gregor. Well,
Gregor's up there, man. I've thoughts guys on just as
we established too rich. He is so important to the
sport like it just makes the UFC so much more exciting.
And for him to go down like that, it's just
is like.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
A man who's comeback is going to be greater McGregor
or the Grandpa Yellowstone that got flipped in the air
by the bison and by saw that, dude, I saw
that a shot. He was on his feet, by the way,
after surgery broken femur.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
Can I imagine me after Imagine me and the octagon
with Holloway that's I'm running away from the bison like
the guy running away from the bison and then he
finally gets me.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Uh oh, man, I I wonder would you watch because
I'm thinking, how does McGregor come back?

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Right?

Speaker 2 (21:56):
What if McGregor's comeback isn't like a year or whatever
or so and it's against like.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
A Paul brother. Is that what?

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Remember?

Speaker 1 (22:04):
It was always like the speculation.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Glad you brought up the Pauls because Jake Paul posted
that video trolling with that high leg kick, laughing by
his pool. If I'm McGregor just out alone fires me
up for a major coming.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Say like I think like while you could say, oh,
rich Don come on, b yeah, somebody if you told
me that in a year and a half from now,
eighteen months from now, you had a Jake Paul McGregor
octagon wing, it would No, I wouldn't be an octagon fighting.
You don't think he can pull because at that at
that stage he might be like, yeah, you're so old

(22:39):
and fragile, I'll take you on the octagon.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Maybe Jacon does.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, maybe you're right. You know that's the third prong,
Danny g. We're always adding layers to these conversations. That's
to make some fun. Will the haters and these viral
clips and doubt that he can come back actually fuel
to comeback, because you have to imagine when mcgreg season
he sees the feedback, he sees Jake Paul mocking him,

(23:03):
he sees Machine Gun Kelly talking smack about him, all
these idiots that could never walk in his shoes, right,
And that's no hate on them. I'm just saying, like,
he'll kick their asses. Let's be real it, he'll kick
their ass. The guy was, you know, the face of
the sport for a decade. They can't walk on his crutches. Yeah,
they can't strut the way he can on one leg.

(23:24):
Would that alone fuel the comeback? That's that's another part
of the story. Yeah, so maybe by antagonizing the guy
is actually what's fueling the guy. And we're gonna get
to all your feedback. I see, it's all lit up
because we were all tuned in to see a great
comeback and we're all let down. You punt it out
because it was on Paramount Plus. I was even I
was on my way back. I was at the airport,

(23:47):
and I watched the whole fight on my phone.

No one was wasting one hundred bucks on it. You
can watch the whole fight on one TikTok clip. Yeah, yeah, Rich,
you didn't need internet connection sixty nine seconds. And you
know what, there's some other observations we're gonna make.

But I'm going to the feedback on the YouTube channel.
We're going to your phone calls. It's sort of a
three prong doozy. Now McGregor, UFC three twenty nine. Do
you believe that he was hurt? His body language looking back?

(28:01):
I mean I thought he was oddly calm.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
That was my thought.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
I'm like, he's not bouncing around, you could looking back,
it does look like he was a little shaky. Do
you think he was hurt. It's just the worst letdown
in sports. We say Aaron Rodgers might still have that
beat as far as grand opening, grand closing, And do
you think the haters and the doubters are actually going
to fuel that comeback that he's promising.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
If he was hurt, I don't think he would have
gone full Chuck Norris to open that thing.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, like his trust was in his body.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
And can I give you an analogy that I think
you actually It might sound like it doesn't make sense,
but it will. I'm trying to reach. I'm trying to
beat Colin cow Hurt as the king of analogies on
this network.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
So bear with good luck with that.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Stars or stars so yo get just And can you
incorporate like Lee Kang from Mortal Compact, because I feel
like McGregor came out there kicking like he was Lee
Kang bro promoting the new movie No you know when
he goes flying? Yeah, So I think it's how you
look at it. I mean, if McGregor wins that fight,

(29:02):
it's like, look at how calm he was. He loses,
It's like, look, he looks timid and probably hurt. It's
like Matt Lower. Here's my analogy. Every picture of Matt
Lower before all the creepo stuff came out, was like,
look at charming, handsome Matt Lower.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Mattlawer's listening like what do I have to do.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
With this the minute, all the he's got the button
in his door to in his office to close the door,
and all the stuff you hear about Matt Lower. Then
all those same pictures, his charming grin started to look
a little devilish. Sister, you could have any headshot diabolical.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
You look at that guy and he's like, you know
what he does, look a little guilty. Look at his face,
look at his eyes.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Honestly, every charming handsome photo Matt Lower went from America's
He's like America's dad to like he looks like he's
hiding and something, because it's how you look at and
I think you look at McGregor if he competes the narrative. Oh,
he was just calm and focused because he wasn't bouncing
around the ring.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
You're like he loves hard to marry.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Was Tom Cruise onto something when he accused Matt Lauer
of being glib? Remember that it was the same year
he was jumping on Oprah's couch. Was it was a
big uh Tom cruise here.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
All right, let's go to your phone, calls, your thoughts
on Connor, Mark Gregor and all things UFC three twenty nine,
because we do have to talk Dana White still too,
because he was fired up after the fight.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
But do we got Danny g Let's start in Seattle, Ross,
what's up Ross?

Speaker 7 (30:27):
Hey, guys, I wanted to say, along with Age and
ring Russ, I think that because McGregor had five years off,
I don't think he was doing the best things for
himself during his extra cur to activities like drinking and smoking.

Speaker 10 (30:41):
And hanging out and this, that and the other, all bro.

Speaker 7 (30:45):
Yeah, which also takes a toll on your body. And
just because you do something for a year, in terms
of training and getting back, you have five years worth
of negativity going on. So I think that had a
little bit spy into it.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
When you when you never stop training or working out,
you don't know those feelings. Have you ever even gone
away on like a cruise or a vacation like somewhere
where you don't really have access to working out much?
You go back to the gym after like two weeks, You're.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Like, oh my shoulder. I mean, this guy didn't fight
an octagon for five years. I said it on Friday.
No matter what you do, you lose your rhythm.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
If we took off radio for five years, five months,
five days, forget about five years you come back, you're like,
you forget how to do it?

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah, Rich was out of sorts last time we took
five days off.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Yeah, it took him a week to get back on track.
He dons, So you could just guys, he's gonna jump
right back into the octagon like he didn't miss a beat.
Still trying to find my away, fellas. Let's go to
your feedback. Who else we got?

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Danny? All right, let's go to Trucky California. Ted? Yeah,
what up? Teddy? He ted?

Speaker 10 (31:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (31:46):
What's up? Fellows?

Speaker 10 (31:47):
How's going?

Speaker 1 (31:47):
We're good man? What do you think about Connor?

Speaker 10 (31:49):
Hey? First off, before I get that real quick that
you're Roper and Furley and Three's company reference. I'm loving
because because I recently been watching like season one, episode
one of Things and uh yeah some good stuff. Oh
A shout out to you for that, Hey. But you
know when you talk about Max was bouncing around and
Connor wasn't think about it for a second. Like you
we've all seen this before at the bar at night.

(32:11):
You got your rooted out alcoholic coke head and inferior
to complex mid life christ this dude, you know, rapist
to boot and he's like Paul talking big, you know,
talking big time. But but you know he's just not
what he used to be. So you know, you say
everyone was watching to you know, see his big comeback.
Keep in mind there's a lot of people like me
who just waited for the replay because we knew it

(32:34):
was going to be short.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
And why we have a question me if you since
you're a McGregor hater, which, by the way, I don't
blame you, but what I'm saying like, do.

Speaker 10 (32:40):
You love what I love? I love what he used
to be for sure.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
But I'm saying, because you're you're not a fan of him, now,
did you enjoy his own demise that way?

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Or you wanted to see him get knocked out? Like
do you think it was?

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Almost like if you're if you don't like McGregor, this
might even be better because you're like, look at me,
he's a complex character and and maybe that's how he's
met it. Like, it's almost worse for him in a way,
right if you don't like McGregor that he couldn't even
do it.

Speaker 10 (33:02):
Well, I'm the type that I like a good fight,
whoever wins. I mean, of course, yeah, I got my
teams I root for him with, but like, but more
than that, I like just a good fight. You know,
two people, two people are two teams that are really
you know, they're they're ready to go. And I personally
would have bet, you know, if if I was a
betting person that like Connor would have done pretty much
exactly what he did. I mean, I didn't know blow
out and knee. I didn't know he'd do the Mortal

(33:23):
Kombat shout out to that too, by the way, I
do the moral combat stuff. But like I knew, you know,
my guess is he would have been a bust because
he's just that coffee washed up want to be you know,
that's not what he used to be. But you know,
he's down with the griff, he's down with you know,
he's made his money. He didn't he didn't care if
he really comes back. He's making his change his coin,
you know, like him, the UFC Paramount I get it.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
I get another reason.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
I don't think they'll ever get another fight in the
octagon because who's gonna want to support that after back
to back injuries like this? Well, do you think Dana
White wants to create a big giant of vent again
only to be let down?

Speaker 5 (33:58):
This was a non title or this is non headlining fight, Like,
what's he gonna be when he comes back?

Speaker 1 (34:02):
It's going to be a side show against one of
the Paul brothers. Yeah, I don't see it happening me.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Well, feedback is still coming in, so we'll go to
all that, but let's go to Ilo for an update.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Isaac Loehan Kron Crown.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Hello fellas, the eve of the Major League Ball Baseball

revealed it was not a live raccoon, but rather a
seven hundred and fifty dollars stuffed raccoon holding an empty
whiskey bottle that was procured from an outlet called wild
Bill's Western Store or in Dallas, Texas, where Holland recently visited,

(36:03):
also picking up a T shirt reading and I quote,

Speaker 2 (36:10):
That loves the memes. Holland didn't win, the company won
our respect. And it's true, man.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Won our hearts. Yeah, he won our hearts. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:17):

It's true. Thank you. I love for the update. We'll
take your McGregor feedback. Next.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Plus MLB, like you said, All Star Game tomorrow, Derby tonight,
Zach Wheeler pulled a move that you could either say
is sour grapes or baller?

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Will you decide? We'll get to that.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Plus we'll play Last One Standing, talk a little boxing fight.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Game, and all your feedback right here? Could we know it?

Well the metallic of fuel of Connor McGregor. I love
this is the greatest ooh yeah of all times. Well,
the haters fuels come back. Ooh yeah, Cavino and Rich
bringing the fuel to fire and that which you desire,

(38:08):
talking McGregor, all things McGregor, and of course giving away prizes.
Next Hour eight seven, seven ninety nine. O Fox, we're
getting to your feedback UFC three twenty nine. But it's
time for our tire rack play of the day. While
Iowa Sam James out to Metallica. You know who the
winner is by the way, Max Holloway.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Oh, I thought you were.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Gonna say, uh, Bryce and Trinity on Love Island?

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Is that what we're talking about? You make fun of
the stuff I watch, and you're watching Love Island. I
didn't know what you were talking about. Everybody's talking Love Island.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
I think the big winner is Max Holloway because no
one could criticize him. His opponent just failed. Yet he wins,
gets the money, gets the w sort of just un
I think he would have won anyway. But I'm saying
untouched to the level. But no one's gonna be like, man,
Holloway didn't bring it. What could he have done?

Speaker 4 (38:55):
There was some negativity because he was screaming and yelling
and celebration, and some of the comments were like, Bro,
you stood there while your opponent blew his hand.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
I know you're saying, but you know who else is
kicking and screaming Dana White for all good reasons. And
we're gonna play some of his feedback too. But time
for our tyreck play. The day after yesterday's walk off,
the Texas Rangers found themselves atop the al West on
the ground.

Speaker 11 (39:17):
Ball back off haters club, not the middle thanks hit,
here comes Langford and the ball games over. The Rangers
have walked off the Astros on a sharp brown ball
single up the middle by Brandon Limo.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
I feel like you picked that. Just guess it's a
former Met doing cool things, Danny?

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Is that true? I feel like you did that spitefully
by the way that Mets loss this weekend.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
The ground ball, you mean the game, the game ending
double play the lindor he boots it and the Mets
go on to lose an extra zone of.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
The But that's not the Tyreck play the game.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
This is a former Met winning a first team that
was courtesy of Rangers Radio Network. Our tyrec played the
day from a forty years Tyrek's been helping customers find
the right tires or how, what and where they drive
ship fast and free back by free Road has a protection,
convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tiret tyrack, dot
comway tire buying. Shoot, that was the worst. It was
so bad.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
Why does the al West sound made up? Like you guys?
Said one of you said al Wes. I was like,
that doesn't.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Exist as sounds like we don't ever think about the
Al West al Wes.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
It sounds weird. Just know why? Because can I tell
you the teams in the al Wests not a lot
coming on? Can I tell you? Sam?

Speaker 2 (40:26):
So funny you would say that I pride myself on
a I pride myself on stupidly remembering like who's won
every World Series? Who's won every Super Bowl or NBA title.
I got stumped recently. I was like, on the World
Series a couple of years ago, I was missing the blanks.
I told him Creed and uh, it was the year
de Gram was hurt. Yet they still want and yeah,

(40:48):
so can you take me hi?

Speaker 9 (40:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (40:52):
All right, So before we get to the phone calls,
can you play Dana White losing his mind? Because one
of the funniest things is they they went to boxing
superstar Chakor Stevens Right, Oh it's all right. Look he
totally had it wrong, and I'll play you the clip
when we get back. Let's go to a phone call

(41:13):
real quick at eight seven seven ninety nine, M Fox
your thoughts on Connor McGregor. Hey, all right, Manny and
l Passo has been on Manny.

Speaker 12 (41:21):
Guys, how we're doing today? I love the show man
than so gee, I'm gonna turn to the scrip a
bit instead of all instead of getting hold down of
McGregor's leg being blown out. The only sports story that
I can think of that turned out in the positive
was gave at Landista. Of course, that's my favorite team
in the Avalanche. He was out three years with me

(41:42):
Cartiage replacement. I've never even put those words together, but
for three years he would put the work in. He
came back the game against Dallas in the playoffs. I
was so worried about it. It was just like, oh
my god, it's going to hold.

Speaker 10 (41:53):
Up, and he scored the goal.

Speaker 12 (41:54):
I lost my mind because I was at a minor
league baseball team. I was watching Mile twlens H Wallace
and I'm yelling it was looking at me. What the
hell's wronging this guy because he scored a goal against him,
but everyone forgot and it was just a great comeback
story that he held up throughout the playoffs and off
this last year, and he was That was just one
of the great stories though that I know of.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
That's a nice one, nice story. We have time for
one more phone call. If trip can go fast, Trip,
make a snappy buddy, what's going on?

Speaker 13 (42:20):
Hey, this is quick. McGregor just brought back some hype
and we knew he wasn't going to do anything. Sports
story and as the Yankee fan, you'll remember this. I
think it was ninety one. Brian Taylor, the most highly
talented pitcher, got in a bar fight and never pitched.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
I remember having his baseball car thinking I was sitting
on a gold mud. He had like a stadium club,
like rated rookie, and I was like, he was so
highly touted. It was nothing but a disappointment that when
not everyone threw one hundred miles an hour. Remember it
was like he throws a hundred exactly. But Dana White
was really upset about the outcome and she corse Stevenson
was there. So we'll play that clip and more. Last
one standing Covino, and Rich continues on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
Did he win the bar flight
