Speaker 3 (01:54):
You know Mike who runs this place? Yeah, who might
Exactly before the show He's like, you're going him entering
Jimmy Dougan and I'm like, who's Jimmy Dougan. Cavino's like,
has heck saw jim Douggan? No, Jimmy Dugan was his
character in what movie?
Speaker 6 (02:07):
Danny j oh The The Outfield, the Madonna movie, The.
Speaker 7 (02:12):
Leg of their Own lega some might say to.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Gena Davis movie Danny j So, Danny G's our super producer.
He's on the phones right now at eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox. You should call him just to
hear that voice in person over the phone. It might
make you uh, let's just say, it might make it move. Yeah,
it might make it move a little bit.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Jimmy imoved.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Iowa Sam is on the ones and twos looking handsome.
Do you know Iowa Sam has a.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
New dog, Rich he's not new. You said you just
got him? No, no, no, he's not right to doggie.
Oh it's the same dog.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yeah, I was Sam. I see. Now you're gonna make
me bring up something I didn't want to bring up.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
And by the way, we're gonna talk about Lebron and
his weird beard and sleeping with people's sisters.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
There's a lot to get to today.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
What but Iowa Sam is the guy, Yes he's but
forget first of all, how about that simply alone?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
He's the guy.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
He's the guy, and I know he shares a dog.
I know that story. I just thought he got a
new dog.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
He has a joint custody.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, he's the guy that sees an ex girlfriend on
occasion because they share a dog, which I think, other
than loving sam might be one of the more peculiar
things about Samuel. I don't know, sharing a dog with
an ex is like move along, dude, say goodbye to
the puppy.
Speaker 7 (03:25):
We coparing him. He's eleven and a half. I don't
know how much time he has left cop pants. I
use that in quotation marks, but like listen, I could.
He lives like a mile away. I couldn't not see him.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I love it. I have to see him.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (03:37):
I want to say goodbye to my ex wife. I
said goodbye to those two dogs. Yeah, I man, we
have a good working relationship, me and the X.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Let me tell you I've dated girls or we've had
dogs that have been like yo, later dog like it's.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Man, that's gotta be tough. I'm just not going to
do that. I get it.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
You know.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Then then you see like you know, you see on
like Instagram like a year later, like.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Oh we lost little fluffles, and you're like, oh, man,
I still like that.
Speaker 7 (03:59):
He loves me and like he like whenever I show up,
he's like, oh, I'm ready to walk, Like I think
he's going to live longer because I'm in his life.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
So Sam didn't get any dogs the same dog. He
sent me a picture last night. That's why I brought it.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
What if I was Sammy?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
What if your exes has a nude dude? And he's like,
I don't trust this? I Sam, God, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I haven't crossed that bridge yet. So would you be mad?
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Would you put up a food you protest?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Probably? Yeah? I need access to dog.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Well, shout out to all our dogs, honly he's my dog.
Thanks for being our dogs, Cavino and Rich and of
course Dan Byer's got your updates. It's great to see
Dan Bayer hanging out with us today. But let's get
into Lebron. I know a lot of people. Danny g
was like, yo, man, he's becoming Aaron Rodgers. I don't
even want to talk he is.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
I found it very refreshing that our show did not
talk about him yesterday.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Yeah, yeah, no, that's it's a good thing. I'm with
you on that, Danny.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
But yesterday we sort of avoided it, but we got
to mention it. Today he posted a video and this
is what gets under Danny's skin the most. He's tea
his next decision, like you don't want to give him
the attention that he's craving here. He's like, my next
decision is dot dot dot taking my talents to the
golf course.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
I don't think that's teas And I think that's playing
into the funny. That's funny, Lebron. That's like, but dude,
when you.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Got the world on the edge of their seat, like
waiting to see what's next, like the cove.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
He knows the error of his ways.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
He knows that the taking my talents to South Beach,
not once, not twice. He knows that rubbed everyone the
wrong way. He's not he's not playing dumb. I think
that's I think that's sort of funny. I think what
offended me was a great beard. It's like today, on
the anniversary of Danny g a great movie Anchorman came out.
On this day we met Ron Burgundy San diago a,
wells I am today, I'm Ron Burgundy. Remember when Ron
(05:47):
Burgundy got fired and like he got all disheveled a
month after the season. Lebron's like looks like the black Sanna, like,
what's going on?
Speaker 1 (05:55):
You know what it is?
Speaker 2 (05:56):
And I would love to hear from our Black listeners
are good pals who know better than us. But I
believe in their culture. It's like well in any culture,
but especially right now, if you're a black dude with
some gray it shows the wisdom because they're leaning into
it more than other people are. I think because he's.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Like Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart's less Kevin hart Hart.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
I mean, you name them all. They it's like the wisdom.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
It's like the more you look like Uncle Phil from
the Fresh Prince, the more wise and wisdom you have.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
And I think it's a counterproductive for a few reasons,
because it's a young man's game, as a young man's league,
he's trying to bring a new vibe to a different team.
Who wants old man Winter coming off the bench. I
know he's playing good, but he's only forty one in
real life. He doesn't need to look like the old guy.
He's only forty one.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
He could be he.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Has another sixty years to look like an old guy.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
I get with Lebron's conditioning.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
The dude will probably live to one hundred, so you're right,
he has sixty years to look like old man Winter.
But to me, there is something said about the wisdom
of the gray. And when I saw Kevin Hart at
that roast a while back, I'm like, Kevin Hart's say,
you can in shape, handsome forty something year old guy,
he could easily cover up those grads.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
It's deliberate, no doubt, no diggity, because you know, coming
up in well, everyone in my family, whether they be
on the Italian side or my mom's side, the Mexican side,
everybody dyed their hair and try to hold onto their
youth and their young looks for as long as they can.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
So like for me was never a thing, never a question.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
It's like, you got plenty of life to be old,
like you might as well be young or try your
best for as long as you can. And now I'm
seeing in different parts of the world like people are like, eh, whatever,
And I really feel like if you're trying to bring
one more solid year of youth into the league, this
is it's a weak look. I'm sorry. Like he's the man,
he's a legend doesn't matter what I think. But as
(07:55):
Smith once said, and he's a goat, no play for
mister Gray, dude, you're is weird.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
I wanted to ask Danny g and Io was Sam
and maybe buyer because you know, you and I sometimes
confirm each other's vanity, so it's like not a fair convert.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
I think it's a culture looks. There's some people rich
that don't give a Diddley squad. I don't subscribe to that.
You got to care about how you look. I think
with him, it's it's a culture thing. It's like wisdom,
and those dudes are really leaning into it. And you
could say, hey, that's cool maybe in life, but in
the NBA, it just magnifies how old you are. And
every time he loses a step, every time he looks
(08:31):
out of breath, every time he misses a dunk, or
every time he blows a play, it's gonna look like
he's hobbling around because he looks like he's ninety years
old with that beard.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Now, I mean Aaron Rodgers looking a little older doesn't
help him in those moments when he's on the ground, Like.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Right after all, I'm saying, yeah, he wants to do
that when he retires next year.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Fine, forget the cultural thing. Is it just a family thing?
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Meaning you know sometimes can you know if you're a
family like yo, we were a blank family?
Speaker 4 (08:59):
This?
Speaker 3 (09:00):
You know we You and I have talked about how
when I grew up, my family would go to like
a hair like almost the salon to get hair because
like a woman cut my hair most of my life.
And you are like a barbershop guy.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
Yeah, most guys are.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Nope, But I'm saying I don't think it's as many
as you think.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
But I think there's things like your family's a blank
or blank, and I think you either come from a
family where people.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Dye their hair or not.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Right, I agree with that, Like I think I think
it might be something you just watch growing up because
if like your grandparents or dad touched up his hair,
I think then so.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
You're saying it's less culture more like that's just how
he's rolling. I find that well, I think, because I
believe he's rolling with the trend of I'm wise and
I'm older and I'm I'm the sweet unk because I
don't care, but I really do care. Because he didn't
just go gray.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
He was clearly.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
You know that indicates that he was dying it up
until right now you think that this just happened. He's
leaning into that. And again I'm not speaking on behalf
of anybody. I'm actually asking like, there's got to be
a reason that a lot of these younger dudes are
letting it go that way. I don't know, you know,
vanity's not a great thing.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Rich.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
I'm not saying that everybody should. But in a young
man's world, and that's what the NBA is, he just
looks that much older.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
So why bring this up?
Speaker 4 (10:16):
What's a young man's game? NBA and hip hop?
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Yeah, and when you see yo, you see these pictures
not to be who cares about him because he's in
jail very well on you know, on good merit.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
To be in jail.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
But have you seen these pictures of Diddy like on
the yard and he looks like honestly, he looks like
Phil Donahi.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yeah, they're rolling, they're rolling, they're rolling with the gray
look now with but.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
I think he's in jail. So I don't think you
get die his hair.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
No exactly. That's why.
Speaker 7 (10:41):
Well, also stress causes your hair to great go silvery
gray fast.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
Wat kidd and man.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yeah, as the father of a teenage daughter, Sam, I
could attest. So I'm getting feedback already.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Like C. S.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Rennick hits us up on the chat again live streaming
at Covino and rich FSR on YouTube. He says, I
embrace the gray with my Irish red, you know, and
a lot of people do. And I get that. But
he's forty one in the NBA. That's all I'm saying. Like,
if he wants to do that at forty two when
he's on the golf course chill and.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Retired, yeah, that's none of my business. Do what you want.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
But I don't know, man, I think that's just more
ammo that that that talking heads and announcers are going
to have when he looks gassed at the end of
a game, or he's heard or he's hobbling.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
What do women say? That's unfair, Cavino.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
They say that a man sometimes could you know his
aging looks like paristicated and sexy and all an older man,
no one, you know. Unfortunately for women that the stereotype
is not they don't get the props for looking older.
Sometimes a man like a guy like I'll give you
an it makes.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
You distinguished a little bit like rich you got the
you got the Russell Crow's feet. Yeah, they look good
on you.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Do you get it?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
But you got to smooth it out? Do he looks dishoveled,
like it looks like he just rolled out of bed.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Yeah, but I'm saying, Danny g like, do you watch
Friends and Neighbors?
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Right, yeah, one of our favorite shows.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
John Ham, Like how many women younger woman would be like, yeah,
John Ham's like hot, he's handsome.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
Yeah, but it looks like he spends time in front
of the mirror, like making sure everything is even if he.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Is a little older and gray and somebody that like
has some gray like women will like that.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
I think no man saying that about a woman.
Speaker 7 (12:20):
Unfortunately, George Clooney comes to mind as a guy who
went gray. He's kind of in between and looks even
better than ever. Guess Steve Carrell.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
There's a lot of guys that you grow distinguished and
you become handsome, and I wish that for Lebron and
everyone else. But I do think that I don't care.
Attitude doesn't hold a lot of weight. And here's why,
Like Michael runs his place as much as I respect Coldstone.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Mike never never heard of him.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
You know, He's like, I don't care. He's not Lebron James.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
You know, he's not trying to win a chip in
a young man's league. That's that's the thing. It's it's
great to be confident in your own skin and not care,
but you got to care to an extent.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
When Mike's ordering what's what's a good what's a good one?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
At Coltstone, Mike, I wonder if he gets uh, like
free ice cream when he rolls in.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
God, he's here, chocolate waffle cone, something something? Oh I
got it's Colts It's Coldstone, Steve Austin.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
So I'll talk, I'll talk Rocky Road. That's just part
one though.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
So the reason we bring this up is because the
video came out and he's teasing, but he's like, yeah,
I'm taking my talents to the golf course. He's on
the golf cart. But his gray, his beard is noticeably
extra gray.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Coltstone, could I get the who Shortcake?
Speaker 5 (13:39):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Then could I get the banana split decision? Please?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Part two of the three prong Lebron story Rich Part
Twokies Everything Better is Windhorse saying that it's now down
to four teams. You got the Sixers, the Warriors come
out and play the heat and of course the homecoming
with the Calves. So you got that. I think Dan
Byer's got an update on that or something to say,
(14:03):
what up. Yeah, this is actually from Big Mike.
Speaker 8 (14:05):
He told me that the Warriors, Heat Caps and Sixers
are the gotta have its, Timberwolves are the love it
and then you know the other teams are just the
like its. But those are the four gotta have it.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Yeah, they gotta have it. So yeah, like it, love it,
gotta have it.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
When it comes to those, those are his four final choices,
I guess gotta have it, gotta have it. And by
the way, the more you speak about Coldstone, yeah I'm
choose that every time that is number one. Really No,
it's not for me. I mean, I love it, I
gotta have it sometimes. But the reason we're saying this,
let's make sense. Mike who runs this place looks like
(14:44):
Stone Colt Steve Austin. He does, but he's more of
a cold Stone Steve Austin when you think about it.
Speaker 5 (14:49):
So Mike who runs this place will say, say old
Stone Steve.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
But Mike, Mike speaks on behalf of a lot of people,
and I do respect his wisdom, and his wisdom was.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Like I don't care.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
I'm a man and I don't care blah.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
And there's so many people that believe that, but they're
not Lebron James. They're not living under that microscope and
they're not playing the young man's game.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Dude, you know, I think you're cutting.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Like I said, there's two types of people, and it's
so distinct. There's people that say, who cares, I'm a man,
I'm getting older.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Who gives an s? And then there's people that try
very hard.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
They're fighting father time, they're going into extra they're going
into extra time in soccer, They're they're fighting to the
very end. Where for instance, I'll see a guy I'll
give an example. I see a guy like Matthew Stafford,
who is a handsome quarterback. He's got a beautiful wife.
He was just all done up with his wife at
Taylor Swift's wedding. When he lets his beard grow long
(15:46):
and it's all gray and like disheveled, I'm like Stafford
shave and then when he does, he looks like I
think he looks so much better. Some people just don't care.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I guess I don't know or like people. Some people
don't of wisdom. That seems to be a thing, and
there's nothing wrong with wisdom. There's nothing wrong with it. See,
I'm getting more embraced to Gray. I'm getting a lot
of feedback on the live chat now. Prong number three
in all Things Lebron is the question that's been debated
(16:19):
for the past few weeks, and I want to know
where the Fox Sports Radio Nation stands. Yeah, we talked about, like,
what's his legacy in LA and everyone's talking about the
Bubble Championship doesn't matter. I hate to break the news
to everyone in their weak ass opinion, it does.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
It matters.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
It was a championship, whether you think so or not. Okay,
so that's part of his legacy.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
If you think the Bubble Championship doesn't count, I will
automatically assume you're dumb.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
Opinions are like podcasts.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Everybody has one and most of them stink, right, And
that's like so many people's hot take.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
Like he never won a chip, Yeah he did well,
it doesn't count to me.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
What if someone has a gray beard and they say that,
I mean they don't have wisdom.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, then you just know it's just like you're leaning
hard into your opinion. But the fact is he did
win a championship, whether you like it or not. So
a lot of debate about his legacy. But the second
layer to that debate was, well, when all said and done,
he played more years with the Lakers than any other team.
Is he worthy of a number retirement or a statue?
(17:23):
That's the other part of the question.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
After debating, I have my answer on that. Do you
have yours? Because I feel like it's so old I do.
I do have an answer on that. If we agree
now because we have not discussed this, because we keep
your answer to yourself.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
I also want some feedback too, as we stay interactive
on this show eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox,
because you know, after this year they will have to
figure these things out eventually. Where does it stand with
the Lakers?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
All right, Lebron's stats, Let's see how many years did
he play with each team?
Speaker 9 (17:57):
All right?
Speaker 3 (17:57):
So eleven with Cleveland's eight with the Lakers, four with Miami.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
So he's still played. He still played the most with Cleveland,
but eight with the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
That seems the fact that it's almost as close as
it was to Cleveland's crazy.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Well two times.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
Yeah, no, I know, but it's still consecutive leverage.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Consecutively the most with the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yes, all right, I think it's so obvious that you're
a prisoner of the moment in a dumb way or
smart way. If if you don't think this guy deserves
to have his jersey retired, his number should absolutely be
retired by the by the Lakers, But a statue that
(18:37):
is reserved for like multiple chips, guy that revolutionized the franchise.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
That's for a Kobe, that's for a Magic that's.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
For someone that's for someone that just led, that's for
someone that only bled that team for the most part.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Like to me, Lebron is creedly not a journeyman.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
But when you've won for multiple organizations and you're a
legend like Lebron, I don't think. I don't think statue
for Lebron, but I do think jersey retired. I think
it would be crazy not to.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
But you know, it might be kind of productive to
not have one as a franchise because he's one of
the biggest names to ever play in basketball, right, But there's.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Something that there's something that don't think he should get
the jersey retired. I'm like, yeah, but that like Dwayne
Wade or Dirk guys that won their city like one
or two that they're getting the royal treatment. I think
lebron jersey number for one of the greatest players of
all time. Yes, well, statue. I don't think he's like
a Laker the way Kobe was a Laker, or the
(19:35):
way Magic or you.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Know, because there's a feeling of he was never really
embraced by the fans.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
He was never really a Laker.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
As Colin Cowherd has said and many others have agreed,
it felt like more of a business transaction, sort of
felt like he's player.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
It felt like he was the best player in basketball
and the Lakers are a legendary team and they're just
like I guess it makes sense, right. It was almost
like part of the dumb analogy. But it's like on
a reality show that you probably watch with your girlfriend,
you assume that the hottest chick in the studley guy
are going to get together. Doesn't mean it's like meant
to be. I don't think the I think it was
like coolest team, best player. I don't know, it never felt.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Right, Rich.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
There's a counter argument, though, Elgin Baylor has a statue
out in front of crypto. He played for the Lakers
for fourteen years. No no titles.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
No titles.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I'm getting feedback, Iowa, Sam, I know you have something
to say, you thoughts on.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
I was just gonna say that.
Speaker 7 (20:28):
Colin called Lebron's move to La like his mogul stage,
like working on movies shows. He's gonna play basketball, but
he's also going to be focused on Hollywood, his mog
He's gonna become the mogul mogul stage.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
You know what, though, here's the theory that Rich and
I have when we agree is fact and I agree that, yeah,
you retire the number because he's Lebron. He had his presence,
he had a championship, whether you like it or not.
But statue no way. Wes and Idaho says, let's see
he goes. Do the five greatest Lakers have statues? If no,
(20:59):
the seventh best Lake or does not deserve a statue.
Jones agrees with you and I.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Here are the current Laker players who have statues.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Lebron will have a statue in his own yard. He
doesn't need one's Scott for mayor what's magic?
Speaker 6 (21:14):
Kareem shack elgend Baylor, and Kobe are the Laker players
who have statues.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Executives slash coaches Okay, so.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Magic okay, Kareem shack elgend Baylor and Kobe the executive
slash coaches. Jerry West, chick Hern, pat Riley.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Man, those are like, those are breaker legends. Lebron is
a is a basketball legend. That's the difference.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
And of course chick her and legendary broadcast.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I think retiring his number is good enough. Man, He's
not like a legendary Laker. He's a legendary player for
multiple teams. Is as simple as that. But cove like
he deserves an NBA statue. So in the Hall of Fame,
you know, as far as the outside.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
State, have you renamed an award after him?
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Like he's that level of like when it's all said
and done, other than Michael Jordan, Lebron James gonna be
in that conversation. I think we're gonna respect him more.
You know how you were saying how after he played
everyone likes a Rod more than now and you said
in football, you predicted we're all gonna like Russell Wilson
Moore after he played.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
Now, I think, well, Lebron's done.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
I think we're gonna look back and be like man,
we were jerks in a way.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
He put it all out there, he said crazy expectations.
We didn't put words in his mouth. He's the one
that said, you know, four five, So he did a
lot of things too. But yeah, of course, let it
be known if you're new to the world of Cavino
and Rich, maybe you found us filling in for the
Dan Patrick Show.
Speaker 5 (22:36):
Welcome to our show.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
We're not Lebron haters by any means, but we do
roll our eyes when you know he's fishing for that attention.
And that's where we got on this today because he
posted a video yesterday of him on a golf cart
teasing his next announcement. That next announcement. The joke was
the golf course and he's got a big gray beard.
And you know what, I have a lot more thoughts
(22:59):
on the big gray beard. Ye, and let's save that
for over promised our bonus show, which airs right after
this show on our YouTube page right here at Coveno
and Rich fsr over promises our bonus pot have more
lebron thoughts.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
We'll save them for there, okay, and we got more
to get to.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Rich.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
There's a real juicy story speaking of the NBA out
of San Antonio.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
And be careful whose sister you're sleeping with. We're gonna
get to that Tom Hanks's birthday. But Danny g you're
the Lakers fan, the biggest one.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I know. I didn't ask you. Statue number retired both either, Bye.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
I agree with what you said.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
I would go Jersey, which is which is quite the honor.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Man.
Speaker 5 (23:38):
You know that's awesome.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Let's not don't play that of course.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Exactly right.
Speaker 8 (23:42):
What's up dB guys, we've got a goal killing and
Bape has scored in the sixtieth minute.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Now will be reviewed.
Speaker 8 (23:48):
There did appear to be a possible handball earlier in
the possession on France, but the possession was kept alive,
and now France has jumped out to a one mier
lead on Morocco in the sixtieth minute.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Oh you know what, I'm about to lay Dan Biri
if you keep seeing me on the YouTube chat popping
my head to the left I got it on the
TV here.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
It just happened. So you might be ahead of reality.
You're ahead of Hulu Live.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
I'll tell you that that's a Dan Live from the
future everybody.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
So it's in the future.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
They a step ahead here on Fox Sports Radio with
Dan Buyer's updates.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
By the way, Rich in our YouTube chat, Gabriel dot
Moreno says Lebron should have a statue in Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
I agreed, agreed, Yeah, he'll get how.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
About Jersey retired in Los Angeles statue in Cleveland?
Speaker 5 (24:31):
You know what, I think everybody agrees with that.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
Not to downplay the fine city of Cleveland, Ohio, but
Lebron should have like a statue on city Hall, outside
the arena everywhere that's Cleveland. LA is a different story.
I completely agree.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
No one's trying to take any glory away from him,
but there's a time and place, and that place is
in Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Okay, so your thoughts will get to the rest of
your phone calls and this Spurs story, it's actually about
a Spurs play by play guy. If you haven't heard it, well,
we'll get into it. We got more Cavino enriched Live

of course everything's on YouTube. We're streaming live right now
always all the shows at Covino and Rich FSR. That's
where our bonus pod debuts too. We have a brand
new episode of over Promised Episode one forty six in
about an hour and a half. And that's where we'll
(26:20):
continue this lebron talk. Let me wrap it up Rich
real quick, because I gotta tell you this juicy story.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
I have to abide by my own role. If the
favorites winning by two or more goals, let me turn
it off TV.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Oh yeah, France Man, that is strong right now and
again has proven the point. The stars are stepping up
big time, all the stars except for Polistic.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
But we confirm that he did have a fracture.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
In his ankle. So people got it back off the
dude a little bit. Guys like Landon Donovan got a
back off. We're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio
and the Cup has taken over the US and only
DraftKings has you fully covered right now use the promo
code cee our show who claim your special off for
at DraftKings again as promo code c our show At
DraftKings the crown is yours now if you just joined us,
(27:06):
it's the three prong doozy of the day. Number one
was does he deserve a statue? Or the number retired?
And Jones nailed it. You can't have a statue. Jones
one nine nine says you can have a statue if
you played with more than two teams, but number retired definitely,
And as Gabriel said, the statue should be in Cleveland.
We all agree, we all agree he's worthy of a statue.
(27:28):
We're just saying in La so numbers should be retired
statue somewhere else.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
I have new thoughts.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
It made me think Lebron James didn't I say, when
all said and done, we're all gonna look.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Back at back man, we were really jerks. What a
great guy?
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Yeah, Lebron James worst moment of his career was a
decision he made sixteen years ago where he sat and
just happen to tell the world who is interested, that
he's taking his talents to South Beach in an event
that raised close to six million dollars for events and charities,
(28:05):
including the Boys and Girls Club, which made about three
million dollars. So he made a charity event that raised
money for kids. But sixteen years later, we're still like, man,
what a what A what a jerk?
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Don't wee us into this? I'm not that hard on
the guy. But the update rumor is that he's down
to four teams Cleveland being one of them. The Warriors,
the seventy six ers, and the Heat. So it's down
to four teams. According to Windhorst on ESPN, that's prong
number two.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I heard he's I heard he taking the calves in
the Heat on a two on one date and only
one of them gets a rose and moves forward.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Is that true?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
I did hear that to be the rumor and the
final prong we're going to expand on during over Promised,
our bonus pod, Our bonus podcast, and that is with
his latest video on the golf course, what's up with
that beard? So we're going to expand on that on
over Promise. But right now, let me just give you
the little storyline or what I understand, and then we're
(29:03):
gonna get to Dan Byron. Then your feedback, right perfect,
real quick, right quick. There's a juicy story. Juicy Spurs
play by play announcer Jacob Toby Okay is accused of
cheating on his girlfriend of six years. Yeah, but here's
(29:23):
how the world. Here's my understanding too. I'm not good
with salacious, gossipy stuff. But to my understanding, the world
comes to know of this because she somehow got his
social media and posted here's what she bro This is
my girlfriend of six years, but I cheated on her
with blank So feel free to continue following me if
(29:45):
you really think I'm a good guy, because I'm not.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
So.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
She got on his social media somehow and posted a
picture of them all lovey and exposed him of being
a cheater, but spurs play by a play announcer Jacob
Toby didn't just cheat with anybody. I'm gonna tell you
the rest of the story after DB's update, and man,
(30:09):
it looks like uh looks like the game might be over.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
What up? dB?
Speaker 8 (30:13):

Speaker 5 (30:42):
Twenty Correll World Cup.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
Goals gives trans the lead of the quarter.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
Final, the call on Fox and six minutes later the
French were not done.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
I think that's why even Borno there recognizes he has
no time to get a cast to it because the
shot came off so quickly.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Here they come to bell, WHOA.
Speaker 8 (31:07):
Who's Montebelle's goal in the sixtieth minute has put France
up on Morocco to nil in their World Cup quarterfinal.
Right now in Foxborough, Massachusetts, it's on Fox playing in
the seventy fourth minute. The other big news of the day,
well two bits of it. First of all, with US
soccer midfielder Christian Polisic willmis several weeks with that microfractor
and bone bruise in his lower right leg. And the
(31:27):
trade sending Kawhi Leonard from the Clippers to the Raptors
is on hold until after the NBA completes their investigation
into the Clippers' relationship with former partner and now bankrupt
company Aspiration. The Raptors were told they would assume the
risk of possible punishments to Leonard or his contract if
they finalize the deal. Jordan Clarkson back with the Nickson
a one year deal. Camino's Yankees topped the race today
(31:48):
twelve four. Ben reich Olmer twice. How about this Riches
Mets a winner against the Royals seven to three, Orioles
topped the Cubs three to two, Guardians beat the Twins
five to two. Red Sox on a six game winning streak,
winning on the South Side of Chicago to one, and
the Braves were ten five winners against the Pirates. Commander
is going to retire John Riggins number forty four during
a game against the Rams in November. Guys, back to you.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Thank you, d B.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Great to see you in two thoughts rich Ben Rice
with two bombs. He's at twenty eight I think, and
he's in the Derby, so I'm excited about that.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
You know what.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Maybe we'll talk about that on over Thonmas.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
I hope that Derby messes up as struck just for
your saying.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Oh thanks, And it's just so sad as the World
Cup moves on and knowing how much it means to
countries like Morocco. Yeah, it's just it's heartbreaking, it really is,
because for them to come back from two to nothing
net I'm sorry, two nil now.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Man.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
It's just and that richest brother in law is from Morocco,
and I know his heart is on the line right now.
It's just so sad, it really is, because they've had
such a great run.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
As Dan Bayer said, twenty goals now in World Cup
history for Imbop like that.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Guy's crazy, dude, he's incredible art. That's what makes this
World Cup especially special. These big stars have stepped up.
It's great, great to see. All right, So I told
you i'd give you the rest of the story, and
I will. The Spurs announcer cheating on his wife, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry girlfriend. Who was it with? And what happened?
(33:16):
What happened is gonna blast your mind. I got that
and more old school and fifty hits when we get
back right here on Fox Sports Radio, Cavino and Rich
we got a hydration break.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Rest in peace.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Bonnie Tyler passed away, Welsh singing legend, seventy.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
Five years old.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
I battled a long ills illness and passed away, said story.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Yeah, my son loves this song. Honestly, this is on
my six year old son's playlist.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
The best scene in footloss.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah, and of course she passed away with a net
worth of close to fifty million dollars, and it was
because of total eclipse of the heart and how often
that was used in popcle even in old school.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Remember the Dan band redid it with some crises in it?
Speaker 5 (34:03):
Oh yeah, absolutely so.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
Yeah. The rest in peace. Bonnie Tyler is seventy five
years old.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
Now we're Covino Enriched live from the Fox Sports Radio
Studio and it's time for our tire Rack Play of
the day.
Speaker 5 (34:14):
Mookie comes up clutch for the Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Beat swings base at center faild Edmund spores.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Dodgers take the lead for Mookie bets. That is the.
Speaker 9 (34:25):
Thirty second bull I had run batted in on the
eighth inning or later.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Sure, I'm sorry, I'm laughing.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Ause Dodgers beat the Rockies for their sixty first win
of the year, and I'm like, man, this teams that
have sixty wins little one, forty or fifty.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
The Mets are still in the thirties, all right.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
That was courtesy of AM five to seventy LA Sports
Dodgers Radio Network, the tire Ract Player.
Speaker 4 (34:44):

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Over forty years, Tyrack has been helping customers find the

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Uh sorry coch correction. Mets won their fortieth game today.
Speaker 5 (35:04):
He's nice.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
Yeah, I want to give you the rest of the story.
Please do, and then we'll do old school and fifty
hits and maybe come back to it.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
Okay, yeah, I'm cool.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
With that one. All right? Do you make your own
time schedule?
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Car So Spurs play by play announcer twenty nine year
old kid. It really is like it has a break
of a life like twenty nine. He's the play by
play guy. Jacob Toby was accused of cheating on his
girlfriend of six years. She called him out publicly on
social media. But get this, not only was he cheating,
apparently allegedly the story as the story goes, he was
(35:40):
cheating with the sister of one of the Spurs players.
Get this, he was cheating with Lauren Waters. So do
the Spurs Mathews if.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
We all look her up right now on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
That means he was cheating with Lindy Water's sister the
Spurs Lindy Waters. He's a player on the team his sister.
So then you're making Lauren Waters. So you're like, all right,
well this guy, you know, he got caught out there
and about there.
Speaker 5 (36:13):
But it gets worse.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Get this as of today, allegedly supposedly, you know, things
change in the orld of social media and updates.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
They're saying he's fired. And I have to ask.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
You and the Sports radio Nation, is that a valid firing?
No way, Well hold on, think about it and I'll
tell you what. After we discuss Old School, when fifty hits,
we'll bring it back and get your.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Phone calls and feedback.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Think about it, because every Thursday, when the clock hits fifty,
we throw it back.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
There's a certain.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
What we're gonna go back back into town.
Speaker 9 (36:55):
Throwing it back for a Thursday. Old School won fifty
hits fifty after CNR give you the time capsule topic
and we reminisce together.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yeah, Yeah, Covino and Rich Fox Sports Radio with Danny
g and Iowa, Sam and dB and thank you guys
for hanging everybody live at Covino on Rich FSR on YouTube.
Everybody in the future checking out the podcast.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
We appreciate your future boys, all the.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Aliens that might be listening. Hey, everybody, you're welcome.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
You should watch Project hil Mary. You'll have a new
alien trend.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Nice now get this? Yeah, today we celebrate a legend.
On Monday, we celebrated the eightieth birthday of Slice Stallone.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Right, absolutely, Wait, this is getting depressing. Stallone's eighty. And
guess who turned seventy today?
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Who?
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Tom Hanks, the lovable.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
Sorry, I'm sorry you're seventy. But he's great. He's a
true American treasure.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
He's just one of those super likable guys that not
a lot of people say bad things about. And I
say not a lot of people because believe it or not,
not to spread rumors and spread salacious gossip. But Rich
and I have grown to be friends with Henry Winkler.
And would you believe one of the kindest men in Hollywood,
Henry Winkler, the Fonds says, the only guy he's ever had.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
A pob with is Tom Hanks.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
What, yeah, you know what it was about.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
I think it must be some misunderstanding.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
No, honestly, say, two of the kindest men in Hollywood.
Speaker 7 (38:29):
Two magnets repelling each other. Yeah, kind of two kind magnets.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
It goes back to you would think like, is it
one of their bigger projects? Is that something to do
with Happy Days or Forrest Gump or something huge. Apparently
there was a discrepancy on Turner and Hooch where apparently
Winkler was one of the producers and he wasn't clicking
with Hank's.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
And Hank's I.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Think got him find I will never forgive him.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Yes, it's so weird to hear Henry Winkers like I
despise him, and you're like, what, Tom Hanks, they can't
marry the hatchet after. We got to get that to
happen our show. We got to make that happen because
there are two legends. But today we honor Tom Hanks because, well,
what makes that story shocking is he's the most likable
dude in every stage of his life. A guy that
(39:18):
started out on TV. He was a bosom buddy, he
was on Happy Days Tom Hanks, he was on Family
Ties and became one of the biggest superstars in Hollywood.
And he started off as a young comedic actor and
he took on so many serious roles.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
To think of Tom Hanks is to think of everything
from like you said, young funny Tom Hanks to award
winning Tom Hanks to so many stages.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
Of Hanks Philadelphia, What Sam.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
We've had this conversation on our show and over the
years here on Fox Sports Radio, even before that on
Serious XM.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
Cavino and I have a strong theory on Hanks that he's.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
So persormous first star.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Yeah, that I don't think two people if I said, Hey, Sam,
Danny g give me your your top four Tom Hanks movies,
no two people on earth have the same four because
no one overlaps. There's too much to choose. Flip and
we've done this in the studio. We don't need to
redo it, but just to prove how mammoth this guy is.
(40:21):
Like when we did this a year ago or so,
none of us had even close to the same four.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Some may include his animated stuff, some may include the League.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
Of their own.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
But the question today is when he's so versatile and
has played so many different characters, you don't got to
know the character by name, but is there one that
stands out the most?
Speaker 1 (40:41):
Like what's his greatest character?
Speaker 6 (40:43):
I feel like we got to say you can't answer
with Forrest Gump because we're gonna get forty calls in
a row Sell.
Speaker 5 (40:48):
No, I agree with that. I agree with that.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Okay Mina's Forrest Gump is there the greatest character Tom
Hanks has ever played. Your thoughts and feedback next, Cavino
and Rich on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (40:59):
Nor A Foo
