on how Belgium should just keep their nose out of this.
I didn't appreciate when Belgium released a statement on flow
Baligan's red card suspension, because it felt it was very
self indulging when it had nothing to do with them ultimately, Mantia,

in that spot, instead of wanting flow Baligan to not play,
what would you have wanted or should you have want?

the first minute, Like that's when you know, we didn't
even have a chance to celebrate the opening kick because
Belgium almost scored. And then you have the Mexico match
on Sunday night. That's the way I would want to
go out, Like Mexico probably isn't better than England, but
there was hope. There at least was some excitement, and

even when England scored twice quickly, Mexico fought back, there
was energy and that wasn't there last night, and that's
I would rather have lost last night, or like Mexico
lost in what happened to Egypt. But there's just this
complete empty feeling of what happened over the last three weeks.
Or at least Egypt can say we just let it
get away. We're on par with Argentina. Well we're saying,

were to play Spain in the next round and lose

of game Spain likes to play, we would have been

the same team. We just wouldn't have known it, like
if we would have beaten Senegal. Maybe I don't know,
Maybe Senegal responds the same way Belgium does with the
red card. We'll never know, but I would think that
coming in Senegal was the Belgium was the better team
over Senegal, and if we had a lesser opponent that
maybe we could have beaten. Maybe the US beat Senegal.

We don't know any of this, but Belgium last night
just so exposed us with that motivation and it was
just so disheartening. There wasn't a minute of that match.
The wait, there was one minute. It was the sixty
one seconds from when we scored and then they scored.
That It was maybe exciting, and it was tied because

they ended up scoring in the eleventh minute, and from

Wanted to make a point. You had said something earlier

felt worse about last night, and the more I think

believing in this, because I will listen and I don't
think that there were experts saying that we could win

and some people don't want to address that. I don't
think that President Trump is the first politician to contact FIFA,

So that seems that was set bladder right. That seems
like that's kind of where some of this allas is
that it got too far out of the absolutely the

Trump made a call, I didn't believe it. I was like,
there's no way that's a joke. That has to be

And then they had to have the thirteen paragraph statement
to show why those calls weren't necessarily involved in the
actual decision making, thirteen paragraphs that none of us could
really necessarily decipher. No matter how it went down, the
United States should not have been as flat as they were.

you can blame whoever you want, but ultimately it lies
on the shoulders of the US.

we are. Belgium hates US. I don't think it's just Brussels.
I think it's all of Belgium well over a thousand comments.
I don't know how many times I've checked in on
Instagram today to see just a parade of Belgium flags

just coming at us. They did not appreciate our take
on how Belgium should just keep their nose out of this.
I didn't appreciate when Belgium released a statement on flow
Baligan's red card suspension, because it felt it was very
self indulging when it had nothing to do with them ultimately, Mantia,

I think you put it best. If you were Belgium
in that spot, instead of wanting flow Baligan to not play,
what would you have wanted or should you have want?

You should have wanted the full squad so you can
stick it up, you know, our butts and say we
took your entire team down. It doesn't matter who's on
the pitch. But instead you complained and it made it
look like you're a little scared to face you Yes, well,
you shouldn't have said it out loud, even if you're
mad at annoyed about the suspension of the red card.

The point is that Belgium should have wanted America at

And that's what makes today so awful. Is this what
the full American experience were we and bamboozled over these
last three weeks Monty and now in a four to
one loss to Belgium, which seemingly a race all of

We were just all running on such high vibes with
our team after the start of the World Cup, and
then with all the exciting matches with all the other countries,

interested in soccer, and America is going to explode with
soccer intro and all the kids are gonna play soccer
instead of the other sports. And then the exact same
result happens. Well, I don't even know if it's the
ends to justify the means or whatever the cliche is,
but we ended up at the exact same spot that

we always do end up, right, Yes, So that entire thing,
everyone was just full of crap.

We felt like we went into it, went into a

That's the worst part. Even when we lost the Turkey

We just scored three minutes into a match. This match
doesn't matter to us, and we've scored three minutes in.

so maybe it was. It was fitting, But ultimately at
that point I thought the World Cup was ours, uh

was is the eye test passed the first couple of matches,
and then we get to this one and it's like, oh, oh,

we are. Yeah, I just think that boy, the big
boys were there.

they they really needed to dig deep to beat to
beat Senegal and for whatever it was, or the US
did beat a UEFA opponent in Bosnia, so it's just like,

hurt to Govino and leave them out, to leave them
out too. It just felt like just yeah, this the

script flipped back to the usual and this just yeah,
it's the same.

Thing you're saying, like Belgium didn't look like that, but
Belgium has fought their way to this point and that's
what good teams do. And here US was out there
and not once did it look like they wanted.

To be out there. It looked from the beginning. I'll
tell you, take the last three matches that we've seen.
Take Portugal and Spain out of it. So we have
Egypt losing the way that they lost today to Argentina. Heartbreak.
It like if I'm Egypt, I'm like, we should be
in the finals, right, Yeah. You have the United States

getting crushed by Belgium. I mean, Belgium almost scored in
the first minute, Like that's when you know, we didn't
even have a chance to celebrate the opening kick because
Belgium almost scored. And then you have the Mexico match
on Sunday night. That's the way I would want to
go out, Like Mexico probably isn't better than England, but
there was hope. There at least was some excitement, and

even when England scored twice quickly, Mexico fought back, there
was energy and that wasn't there last night, and that's
I would rather have lost last night, or like Mexico
lost in what happened to Egypt. But there's just this
complete empty feeling of what happened over the last three weeks.
Or at least Egypt can say we just let it
get away. We're on par with Argentina. Well we're saying,

I guess we're not even close to Belgium.

Right, I guess we're not even close. It just the
gap looks so big last night. And I don't know
if they were tired, if this was an outlier of
a match and it just happened to be unlucky. Every
single player didn't feel like playing. I don't know how
to take it, but that seems that seems stupid of me.
It's like, no, we just are not that close.

And Belgium, for I guess give them credit used whatever
motivation Manzi to further separate themselves.

Our video was played right before they won.

Our video Trump, I mean, because the comments are getting
too they don't like America, they don't like our president
in what I'm reading in these comments. Sure for US,
so that seemed to motivate the fanise and obviously it
motivated the players. I mean, this was not the Belgium
team that was down too nil to Senegal in the
eightieth minute of their match. And that's the other part

of it is if Senegal doesn't give up that two
nil lead and doesn't allow Belgium to end up scoring
the two goals to force the extra time and then
ultimately winning it, what happens. Do we If the US
were to play Spain in the next round and lose
probably one nill or two nil, because that's the type
of game Spain likes to play, we would have been

the same team. We just wouldn't have known it, like
if we would have beaten Senegal. Maybe I don't know,
Maybe Senegal responds the same way Belgium does with the
red card. We'll never know, but I would think that
coming in Senegal was the Belgium was the better team
over Senegal, and if we had a lesser opponent that
maybe we could have beaten. Maybe the US beat Senegal.

We don't know any of this, but Belgium last night
just so exposed us with that motivation and it was
just so disheartening. There wasn't a minute of that match.
The wait, there was one minute. It was the sixty
one seconds from when we scored and then they scored.
That It was maybe exciting, and it was tied because
as I said, they almost scored in the first minute,
they ended up scoring in the eleventh minute, and from

then on it was a bleep show.

You say, what if, in regards to what happened with
Senegal and Belgium, what if none of this red card
suspension happened. Let's say he just the red card happens
and flow Balagan is out of the game, but there's
no discussion. As bad as it was heading into the match,

that happened and they just went out there knowing they
weren't going to have flow Balligan.

few collective sporting events that entire countries watch like this,
and I think that we were bamboozled into thinking that

felt worse about last night, and the more I think
about it, it's what you said. We were bamboozled by
people who follow the sport because they kept telling us
this is different.

I don't feel bamboozled by the people who follow the sport.
I feel bamboozled by myself that I bamboozled me by
believing in this, because I will listen and I don't
think that there were experts saying that we could win
the World Cup. In fact, they are experts saying that
the US has no chance of winning the World Cup.
But I gave myself hope or thoughts that we could

maybe advance to the quarterfinals. And you know what, if
we maybe are improved, maybe we shocked the world to
make it to a semi Maybe that that is the case.
But I allowed myself to drink the kool aid and
was so disappointed in the see the effort again. It
would have sucked to have lost excuse my language, like

Egypt did to Argentina. But Egyptians leave the match today
knowing that they are on par with the defending World
Cup champions and a team that's led by the greatest
player of all time. We can't say that we leave
with like, are we gonna have to wait another four
years to find out? And then are we going to
be bamboozled again? Yeah?

I agree with that take it like I feel like
Egypt feels that they should have won that game. There's
no way Team USA is walking away from that match
saying we should have won that.

to who the real person who bamboozi? Which is the team?
I'm bamboozled by the team because we didn't see a

talk about the competition that they were finally playing with

you play it right and you look the way you
have the last few games, it'd be great. But most
I will say this about most papers, when you have
a loss like this, where this is what will become
a real soccer nation, is where you start to actually
blame the players. Nobody likes blaming the players, but that's

It's they didn't like President Trump calling Fifah. They didn't
like what we said, and I agreed with the overturn
of it. But that is the portion of it where
politics came into play. But again, like the whole balligan
situation on the red card of people will point to, well,

those red cards were suspended as well, just like balligans,
and some people don't want to address that. I don't
think that President Trump is the first politician to contact FIFA,
and we know that because the president of FIFA said
that he's talked to many leaders of countries over the time.

So that seems that was set bladder right. That seems
like that's kind of where some of this allas is
that it got too far out of the absolutely the
way of the sport.

President Trump comes with a lot of a lot of
polarizing opinions, and so him being involved, I think right away,
when it first came out that we heard that President
Trump made a call, I didn't believe it. I was like,
there's no way that's a joke. That has to be
a joke. And then it was conf that happened. I
was like, that's not gonna be a good that's not
gonna be a good thing that we know this information.

And then they had to have the thirteen paragraph statement
to show why those calls weren't necessarily involved in the
actual decision making, thirteen paragraphs that none of us could
really necessarily decipher. No matter how it went down, the
United States should not have been as flat as they were.

And so you can blame the president, you can blame FIFA,
you can blame whoever you want, but ultimately it lies
on the shoulders of the US.
