Monci and yeah, I know they want to rock you
like a Harry Kane, but ten people here. I don't
want to quote people here at Fox Sports Radio. I
don't want to start beef. I heard a lot of
f England as Argentina came back that sentiment at all.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I heard a lot of f England.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Would they won a World Cup sixty years ago?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I'm just telling you what. The teams won one this millennium.
Arrogant to have bet teeth. They're awesome people. I'm just

thumbs up a and if you missed it, catch our Patreon.
But we'd be what we were putting clips out and
we have exclusive interview questions for over promised our bonus
(03:07):
pot that you'll be hearing and seeing right here on
this YouTube page at coven O on Rich FSR, it
was weird to have Henry Winklers said at my kitchen
island having a bagel with it.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Hi, why I'm the fond So I love what you're
doing at Fox.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
So let me tell you an action pack day. There
is like a messy pump in his fist. Dude, he
had how many assists? Manzi too?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Was it too? He definitely had the second one.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
I don't know if he assisted the first one because
the first one by Enzo Fernandez.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
It was a clean shot by himself.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I think he had the Yeah, he had the assist
on that too, though, It's just yeah, Oh he.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Was just so he was out of the box.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
So I was like, I don't know, Yes, it was
like it wasn't a bang bang play.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I don't know the rules. I'll tell you right now.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
If they gave him the assist, yeah, I don't know
if you said he gave it to him, he did.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Give him the assists.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
You're right on that, nice say, like, can you honestly
put that in perspective anybody eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox, We're gonna talk All Star Game Midweek major
Mike who runs his take? It's gonna get controversial. Who
Mike who runs his take?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Well, I guess full of it. I mean I love him.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
He has some really hard hitting stuff today, So stick around.
But put this in perspective as far as like what
MESSI means to soccer. We know he's the goat, but
like is he Now? I know it's worldwide so it's different,
but like, is he Jordan? Is he Magic Johnson?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Like magic?
Speaker 2 (04:29):
The way he drops dives, That's what I'm saying. Is
it more Magic Johnson? Like that assists the way he
places them, the way this placement is impeccable? Like how
would you describe him to someone who doesn't know anything? Right?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Like I think Magic Johnson might be the best exacting.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
Yeah, because Magic was also an offensive threat himself, but
his passing was elite.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
So it's really insane when you think about what he's
doing at this age. Lessly his wife is hotel huhod
for him?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
And how old is he now? Thirty eight? I mean
do you expect him to not? I have a hot wife?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Thought?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
So he just turned I think he just yeah, he
just turned thirty eight.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
And on a side note, I got to give credit
to our boy KFC, who was also a guest on
our show Over Promised again on YouTube at covin and
j FSR. That's our bonus podcast guys on Fox Sports,
so check it out. There's a guy named Lamin Yamil
on Spain. He's a nineteen year old phenom. I'm sure
you know him if you follow soccer and this nineteen
(05:26):
year old phenom. Have you seen this story, Mansi?
Speaker 1 (05:28):
This is like the most remarkable weird story.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
No.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Also, Messi's thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Sorry okay, yeah, turned thirty nine, So we get this.
When when Messi twenty years he didn't get a card
from you. No, when he was twenty years old, he
was already like a legend. Right, He's already like the
guy everybody's crowning him to go. He's the future of soccer.
Lamin Emil's family won some sort of unisef contest, like
a like a raffle of source and they're like, get
(05:53):
this your meal family, We're gonna let your baby, you're
five month old baby, take a picture with the great Messy.
So there's a picture you're seeing floating around the internet,
and it's a young messy like bathing a young black baby.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I have it, I'll send it to you. Yeah, right,
but that young black baby.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
It's weird.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
It's because my friend send it to me because he's like, yeah,
it's it's it's been making the rounds, dude.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
The improbabilities of this happening are astronomical. Okay, because that
middle five month baby, that five month old with the
twenty year old Messi, they're going face to face all
these years later in the World Cup. How crazy is that?
And that's a true pick. That's a true story. I
think it's one of the most legit. Yeah, you can
(06:42):
see how young Messi is in He's got one of
the most random coincidence all time. Because you have to
I don't even know how you would factor in the probabilities,
you know what I mean. It's like, it's insane. I
remember on the show, we've talked about the improbabilities of
things happening, Like remember when Rizzou a ball was hit
to him at the Cubs game when he was in
the crowd on Rizzo Day.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yet I was insane. There was another one. Did you
see the story in San Diego? Get this?
Speaker 2 (07:07):
This is another viral story right now? Yeah, did you
see the airbnb story. These two sisters are at an
airbnb in San Diego and they're looking around.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
At all the artwork.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Oh, it's a beautiful airbnb, sleek and decorated beautifully, and like,
wait a minute, there's like a beautiful stock photo of
a beach on the wall.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
And they're like, wait a minute, there's dad, our brother,
me and you. We're in the photo on the wall
the airbnb. We just have so happened to book. And
they're like, yeah, we're in a stock photo we had
no clue about. And they found themselves on the wall
of the airbnb.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
They were hitting.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Now, this lamin your mall story is pretty funny, so
pretty wild. You can see the picture now at Covin
and rich FSR on YouTube. So that little baby Lamina
mal of Spain is going against that dude.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
It's messy all these years later. Wild up, sir.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I thought you're gonna mention the one of remember that
couple that went to a Disneyland.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
That's not Ben Mallard bathing VJ Husky, No, no, no,
that's a young MESSI.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
You know, I thought you were going to bring up
the example of a few years back. It might have
been several Now, there was a couple who the guy
saw himself in the girls Disneyland, Disneylands.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
That story blew my mind. That's another you don't know
what Danny's talking about. Let's just say he was at
his now wife's house, but when they were dating, he
was at his girlfriend's house, and they happen to be
looking through like look at Jessica when she was a teenager,
and he's like, oh, well, go back to that picture.
He saw himself in the background of one of her
family photos. They happened to be at Disney on the
(08:48):
same day, like a decade or so before.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, these like coincidental things.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Just recently, you I believe you told me the story
of this couple that went to the game on the
wrong day and they were like, oh, screw it, we
might as well just go. They went, and they had
tickets for the next day. Yeah, so they just said, well,
we're here at the ballpark. It's the wrong day, but
let's just go. I forget who it was off the
top of the dome, Danny, you could figure it out,
But whoever it is, hit a home run to.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Them on the top.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
And then on the next day, they went to their
original ticket seats and it happened again the very next day,
same batter right to them. So yeah, the major coincidence.
And you know, it's only a story now that Argentina advances.
So I'm with you and our buddy KFC from Barstool,
who pointed it out when these statistical coincidences happened. I'm
(09:37):
fascinated by them. I can't think of it, but I
feel like, just recently there was another one I brought up, like,
can you do you know the chance of that happening?
Is it gott to be like one in a trillion.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
At the time, Howard Stern pushed you on a swing
when you were a little baby.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
And then it's like, oh my god, we both worked
at Serious Exam Danny g that's really funny because that
would be the equivalent of what's happening with this Lamina
mal story. Like you know what I mean, Like, that's
Howard Stern and was pushing you on a swinging and
oh my god, all these years later you work together
on some sort of line. There was another story like this,
because listen, there are billions of people on planet Earth.
(10:11):
So these coincidences are bound to happen.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Here and there.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
But oh, wasn't it the two ballplayers that are both
redheads with the same name and they're both the Oh yeah,
they could both have they wear glasses, they have beards,
the same name. These things happen and when they do.
I know the guys was on the A's I can't
remember his name, but the fact that this kid at
five months old, ya Meal Lamin Yamal, Yeah, I keep
seeing the emial because it was Laman le Mean Yamal
(10:37):
of Spain was a nineteen year old phenom kid.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
It was a baby.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
But it would also require that him rechieve greatness to
this level at nineteen and for Messi to sustain his
greatness for this long at thirty nine. Like, there's so
many factors that have to happen for that to be
a probability possibility. And we're gonna see it all go
down as we get Argentina and Spain in the World
(11:02):
Cup finals.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
So there is a sauce set man Argentina wins.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
I mean, this is not as coincidental, but I'm always
shocked even too by you here, Like oh, Adam Levine
and Jonah Hill went to high school together. Yeah, that's like,
I don't know if that's like birds of a feather.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I don't know how that works, or just.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
A coincidence of like, like, no one from my high
school did anything.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
You're telling me they.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Were many Kravits and Slash went to high school together.
It's like, what are the chances?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
You know, You're like, you.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Always hear these cool stories. Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler
were roommates.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
And really those pictures you were talking about Rich Brady Fagel, Yes, Tom,
there's two Brady Fagasle had.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
They took a dnahs and they had no relation and
they both looked exactly alike. And how it happened was,
you know, they were like, oh, they kept getting mistaken
for each other. Obviously that's what happened. So random coincidence
written in the stars. It was destiny meant to be.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
It was fated that Englan would collapse so that messy
bathing baby Yamal would eventually lead to a World Cup
of your mom.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
You have to add that into this to the probability
Argentina had to come back again with like ten minutes
left to even make this happen.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Is fate otherwise this story false, that's not a story.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah, I just saw someone hit us up. Otherwise it's
just a at that. Hey, you know it could have
been and then no one cares. Like like I always say,
the Ndie shoves catch and O six would have been
the greatest catcher in baseball postseason history. But the Mets
also it doesn't matter. It wouldn't matter, you lose the significance.
Someone hit us up.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Did you know that? And I have seen this before too.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
You know that if you're a wrestling fan WWE, you
of course you remember Jeff Jared Jeff Jared Taylor, Swift
baby sat his kids, like just stuff like that, Like
what's the chance of of these like wait this person
turned out to be? You know yeah, when you think
of like how hard it is to make it. When
you hear the stories like that, you're like, is it because
(12:54):
they all come from money and they run in the
same circles or is it coincidence? Like when you hear
even in the Charlie Sheen documentary recently winning, like the
guy's growing up. I understand his dad was super famous. Yeah,
that's so he was growing up with Chris and Sean
Penn and and uh George Clooney like they all grew
up together, like running around the streets like coincidence to
(13:16):
just I don't know. I gotta tell you on a
side note that they just pant to a woman in
the crowd who had Argentina face paint, and can I
tell you the difference between being on the losing or
winning side of that effort?
Speaker 1 (13:27):
If you if you paint your face, If.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
You paint your face and your team wins, you're like, yeah,
you paint your face and the teams lose, you have
to walk out of that stadium and spend the next
hours like getting home.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Well, like a clown could be smeared with tears like
a sad said English.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Do you remember there was a was a postseason game
where they were these jambronis in Houston. I know you
hate the Astros all, do you remember they were like
a couple of idiots just like astronauts that sat at
the game and I remember being like, if you win.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
They went from astronauts to astronaut. Yeah you win, You're like,
oh cool. You lose, You're like, I'm dressed like an astronaut.
Now even if you won, you're dressed like an astronaut.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I think that about the proud fans of like the
black Hole for the Raiders, Like you win, you're like
fired up, you get your if your team gets an
ass wellbin there you were, spikes on your shoulders and silver.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Fan that we dress on a regular tuesdays.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
I see those guys around town.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
All right, So Argentina defeats England two to one World
Cup coincident dance, you better freaking believe it. And then
the other question I posted and you can call if
you want or just hit us up later, where like
if you were to simplify how great or how or
the game of a messy to a basketball fan or
(14:44):
a baseball fan, like how would you describe it?
Speaker 1 (14:46):
And I think the NYG sort of nailed it. The
way he.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Plays, the precision in which he passes, how he moves
the ball around, how he is unselfish with how he plays.
But also ry magic Johnson with the ability to score.
It is very Padrick Johnson. If you could come up
with a better example, please hit us up. But it
was incredible. Another incredible performance. Trying to think of any
other coincident dance I could think of it, those those
(15:10):
type of stories truly do fascinate me, Like they're like,
what's the chance of that? I mean, I know it's
not so much a coincidence, but like, like, what's the
chance of falling in love? Did you see that story
from back in the day where two players on a
team just swapped wives and families? It was the yank Yeah, yeah,
like they just happened to be like, wait, you're my
(15:32):
soul man.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Another story you guys have talked about on the air
with crazy coincidences involves two presidents.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Oh it's John F. Kennedy and Abe Lincoln. I was
just thinking about all the famous Rich secretary n oh.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Dude, what about the Alex Smith Joe Thaisman injuries and
how like on the same like the yard line and
the same score of the game by a defensive player
that was the year, Like it's written in the stars
and it just around repeat JFK Secretary and Lincoln sectors
like the same name or.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
So there's so many whole list yeah similarities.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
And that whole JFK Abe Lincoln thing is very similar
to the Alex Smith Thaisman thing that Rich mentioned has
done the same way, and it's almost too eerily similar,
where you have to think, like, are we living in
like a parallel dimension?
Speaker 1 (16:17):
What's going on here we go Joe Thaisman and Alex Smith?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
If we're going to talk about coincidences like Yamal being
bathed by MESSI now there, yeah, me and you Ma
like it's it's really wild when you think about it.
Joe Thaisman broke his right tibia and fibula. Alex Smith
broke his right tibia and fibula. The date both of
those gruesome injuries happened. Both happened on November eighteenth. What
(16:39):
team did they play for? Washington? The location a home
game in DC? What yard line did the injury happen
on the thirty nine yard line in both cases? What
was the final score of both of those games? Twenty
three to twenty one? Who caused the injury? Three time
Defensive Player of the Year Lawrence Taylor, three times Defensive
(17:00):
Player of the Year, JJ Watt Wow left tackle, Pro
bowler Joe Jacobi was off the field during Thismand's injury.
Pro bowler Trent Williams was off the field in that
moment during Alex Smith's injury.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
It is two coincid depth.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Like that some year it was meant to happen, right,
And this was another just weird sports coincidence that we
had to share with you. And again we only share
it because it happened. If Argentina didn't win, just now,
it's a non story. And it really is incredible that
Messy's behind both assists to put Argentina again victorious over England,
(17:41):
as everybodys saying, f England and man, what a great
World Cup it's been. So that's our thoughts, that's our story.
And we said, got to talk All Star game last night.
I give you a little Lincoln Kennedy side by side.
You're down for a little history lesson. Yeah, it's been
a while so I've heard this, Okay, I'll give you
some of these. This is the pure coincid dance between
Lincoln and Kennedy.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
And there was a tackle for the Raiders named Lincoln Kennedy.
He's used to be a host on our network here.
Well that that all ties together, knows Lincy link. This
guy must know all these facts.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Lincoln was elected to Congress eighteen forty six, Kennedy nineteen
forty six, elected president eighteen sixty, elected president nineteen sixty.
His wife lost a child while living in the White House.
Same with JFK.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
He was directly concerned with civil rights, both of them.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Lincoln was shot in the back of the head in
the presence of his wife. Kennedy was shot in the
back of the head in the presence of his wife.
Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy who told him not
to go to the theater. Kennedy had a secretary named
Lincoln who told him you might not want to go
to Dallas. That one, right there is the one that
really sticks in Kind was shot at the Ford Theater.
(18:48):
Kennedy was shot in a Lincoln made by Ford.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, it's insane, though they were both shot on a Friday.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
John Wilkes Booth, it's fifteen letters long. Same with Lee
Harvey Oswall three names. Booth shot Lincoln in a theater
and fled to a warehouse. Oswald shot Kennedy from a
warehouse and fled to a theater. Booth was killed before
being brought to trial. So it was Oswald and Lincoln's
(19:18):
successor was Andrew Johnson born in eighteen oh eight. Kennedy's
successor Lyndon Johnson born in nineteen oh eight.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Dude Jesu that or we're just living on a loop,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Like, Wow, how many babies did Messi bathe? One imagine
it was a contest where it's like that year he
bathed two thousand babies, one of them to be a star.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Sunday was he blessing babies.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
And we don't know why baptizing? Yeah, he was blessing
little future soccer stars. Man, that's a that's still wild,
even though I've heard that Kennedy Lincoln thinking million times,
so it's still mind blasted.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
If you're just joining us.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
There is a picture float around of course Argentina star
Lionel Messi, who was only twenty as a young man
for a promotional contest bathing a five month old baby
who is now one of the star players of Spain
and they face each other in the World Cup final
this weekend. Well, ma'am, the picture was from I believe
(20:19):
it was from seven. So there you have it, your
thoughts and you blew my mind again with those coincidence.
On a side personal note, Rich and I went to
where Kennedy was shot. Have you ever been there? It's
really eerie, you you know what it really is? One
of eerie things, you like the grassy knoles right there.
(20:39):
And we lived in New York during nine to eleven,
so you could argue ground zero that's a very special,
sacred like said the emotional place.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Right also saw where Martin Luther King wish I was
going to say, the.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Two places we've been in the United States that make
you feel some type of way. Sam was at a
hotel in Memphis, the Memphis Motel. But it looks like
it's like like time.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
It's like it's a historic place now.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
But but you go there and you feel like something
in your stomach, like a pit in your stomach. And
when you go to Dallas where JFK was assassinating, haven't
seen the street. They have an X in the street
where it happened. Even as like a tourist just walking by,
you feel like you're on the Zubruder film. I'm not joking,
Like it's it's such a surreal. It's like we walk
around you like, yeah, feel like instantly somber, and you're
(21:23):
like yeah, panning around, looking around, And when you stand on.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
That ax, you're like, oh, this is weird. I don't know,
but we were there and it's a real story, Dally Plaza,
Daily Plaza.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, a show, a show worth checking out. Rich.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
I think you watched this. It's on Netflix now. Eleven
twenty two sixty three. Yeah, I watched, James.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I watched it back of the day when it was on.
It might have been on Hulu or another provider back then.
But this is pre I saw an alien James Franco. Right,
this is like ye, yeah, this is like back this
is before people said it was a creep bilt James Frank.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Yeah, this is the Stephen King show.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
I've always been a fan of his h of his work.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
But eleven twenty two sixty three, the day that Kennedy
got killed, Sam, you would love it if you haven't
seen it.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Have you seen that show? I have not.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
He's able to go I'm not I want to give
it anything way, but he's able to time travel and
he goes back to nineteen sixty three, and his whole
motive of the show is like, could he do something
to prevent this assassination? Can we put it into Ai
Chat shept or whatever. Claude the probabilities or are we
just in the prisoner of the moment here? The probabilities
(22:24):
of this one little kid being bathed by Messi all
these years later, what are the probabilities. It's like astronomical.
I would think astronomical chances, because to achieve this level
of greatness, to play in a World Cup representing your country,
for them to still for him to be this young,
to be there, for him to still be there, for
(22:44):
Argentina to win, for Spaine to advance. When you factor
in all the people in the world, for it to
come down to that astronomy.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
It's amazing. They're facing off. But what if Jaml was
always reminded growing up? He's like, remember, you are a
special child. You were bathed by Messi. So he's like,
I'm gonna grow up be a one class soccer.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
You know what, Sam.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
I think there's power in that too, right, It's like
in his mind he was always like blessed by greatness
and oh he's gonna be a soccer player. We got
this picture with Messy and like that's the power of
thought too. I believe there's something to do with that.
You think it's a coincidence that, I mean, this kid
that level. Can I tell you it is pretty.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
Mark Ai says the answer is roughly one in a
few billion, he's got to be.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I mean, we did something recently, and I hate bringing
up something where I don't have the answer, but there
was something on our show in the last year, and
I'm sure, I'm sure someone that pays close attention, like
a Trip or a Wes or someone would know. I
came in with like some like something like funny bad
happened to be like, oh my team lost on something,
And I remember it being like the chance of that
happening it was like one in a one, like a trillion.
(23:48):
Great story, man, how about the chances of men everyone
being in line with Josh Dumel twice in like two
weeks to go.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
AI next.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah, yeah, maybe maybe I'm just easily impressed.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
But I always thought this was a crazy coincidence in
our professional broadcasting career.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Rich and I. This is a true story. We're interviewing Sugar.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Ray Leonard and guess who came walking down the hallway
Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath. We have a picture with ay,
Come on, we got a picture with Sugar Ray and
Sugar Ray. We have a true story. What are the
chances we might be the only show?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, same as the THI the same thing. This first
segment's blowing my mind.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I know, man, I know, but it does really make
you wonder what Sam said, Sam, it's a great thought.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I was thinking the same thing. I swear like.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
It's the power of influence, right, if you're telling a
kid his whole life, you're gonna be great.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, look at messy MESSI was giving a picture.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
We have a porture in our messy A kid like, yeah,
I'm gonna be a great socclepie.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Great. Look, spot has a picture on standby.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
We'll get that there. We are there it is. It's
us with two sugar rays on the same day, same moment,
same time, same place.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
Where the chances Wow, one in ten billion odds. I
figure that's what I figured.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Danny g you know, is it the power of influence
and thought and mind power of telling his kid he
was going to be a soccer player and he did
because he, you know, believed it.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
He still had to have like the talent and the
drive and to be and he's like a young guy's
like nineteen.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, that's crazy. Daniel chimes in.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
He says, I think it was the same chance as
the Mets winning the World Series one.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
You know what Danny, we got to pull up the feelingbacks.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
The chat is up at Covino and rich FSR on
YouTube and your thoughts on where does MESSI stand as
far as other examples, even though we know he's more
mammoth and bigger than all the stars we've named worldwide.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
You know, congrats again to them. We still got to
talk to the all stars.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
The true fun about these wildly statistically impossible coincidences is
like you're even fascinated when something simple happens, like like Montsi,
whe'd you.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Go to college Kelsey Fullerton? Now you bump into someone
that went there, or someone's like, oh you went there?
How many times is I'm like, oh my god, do
you know? And I don't know.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
I don't, yeah, because like a college is big, there's
tens of thousands of students. But every on that rare
occasion hasn't happened with You're like, oh my god, they
were my roommate.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
By the way, that type of thing happens once in
a blue move to do you know what Monsie and
I met in a strange coincidence. I did. I was
do you know sports? Yeah, I was. I was at
a bar in Sherman Oaks.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Yeah, I was.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
I was at a bar Sherman Oaks and I was
like with a friend or a colleague, and you went
up and You're like, how you doing right? No?
Speaker 1 (26:33):
No, no, no, So my my buddy it was.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
It was our buddy Jay from Serious EXCM and I'm
talking to my buddy about like, yeah, man, Fox Sports
Radio has been really great for us. Man, I'm so
glad we found a home at Fox Sports Radio. He's like, yeah,
how's it going? Am I just going great?
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (26:47):
You know, we're we're doing Sunday nights now, but I
think we're gonna be full time soon. It's been such
a blessing Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Bartender comes up to me, like, you know. A half
hour later, he's like, hey, man, were you saying Fox
Sports Radio before?
Speaker 1 (26:58):
And I was like yeah, why? He goes is a
girl across the bar.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
She says she's celebrating with her friends because she just
got a job at Fox Sports Radio. And I look
over and it's Monzi and I never saw before in
my life, and now here she is on our show.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yeah it's true. Say something to the effect of you're
a girl. You know sports.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
It's so true because and I was with my friends,
so I had like we were taking some shots naturally.
And so when the bartender comes back to me and
he's like that guy works out Fox Sports Radio, I
was like what. He's like, well, you were talking about it,
and then he's talking so I told him and then
I looked at my friends and I was like, I
supposed to go say hi, and my friends were like.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Yeahh you cute, go ahead, go ahead, and I was like, okay,
I just took a shop. All right, okay, let's go.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
So I walk over and I introduced myself and he
was very very kind, and he you asked me, like
what my job was, and I was like I don't,
I don't know, but I.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
But I'm hired. I'm gonna do some sort of like updates,
I think. And then he was like, you know, sports whatever.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Exist like she didn't even know what she was doing. Yes,
you know it was maybe it was more innocent than
it sounds. Yes, how what a random point, right? And
here we are here we are all right, we're running late,
but uh really fun first half hour?
Speaker 1 (28:11):
How are we going to top that? I feel magical?
Speaker 6 (28:13):
Right?
Speaker 1 (28:13):
I feel magical, I feel mistic, I feel connected to
the universe. I featural. Try we just witnessed some cool
stuff and had a good conversation. So once we got more. Next,
don't go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Coveni on Rich.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
We got it an hour and a half more left
of fun, uh, Live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio.
Speaker 1 (28:26):

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Did I ever tell you about how I met Sugar
Ray and Sugar Ray Leonard at the same time?
Speaker 1 (29:13):
No, I did. I really got a story. I know, man,
stories of coincidence ten billion odds. I know these stories
are crushing my mind grapes.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Honestly, Sam, I'm going on the same page like stories
of like crazy coincidence always fascinate me to like the
highest level for real because you can't explain him props
with KFC two because he was talking about that. But
the Messi story is not a story unless Argentina wins,
and they just did so again Messi faces Spain, Argentina
(29:44):
versus Spain, but it's Messi versus the nineteen year old
soccer phenom lamin Ya Mal and they encountered each other
through a random, unise wrathful victory and took a photo
together where he was bathing a little baby boy all
those years ago.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
They should recreate the photo with like adult sized jamal
in like a big bathtub photos.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
That would be a good one there, all right? Photo
for the World Cup final game.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
We still have Mike who runs his take in midweek
Major Plus we got a talk MLB All Star.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Hope you had an American League sort of night.
Speaker 2 (30:21):

the probabilities the impossibilities of this messy lamin ya Mall
story Danny g said won in like ten billion chances.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Of this happened that. I'm sorry it was on like
sixty minutes a couple of months ago.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
There's a dad who found the video of his daughter
when she was like a little kid, like maybe like kindergarten.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
She's like, I'm gonna marry Billy Thompson. And that's the
Dad's like, who's Billy Thompson. She's like, I'm gonna marry
Billy Thompson. I think the name was Max.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
She said yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
It was like, yeah, I'm gonna marry Max.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
And the dad plays it at her wedding when she
marries like Max Thompson, like you stop, you know, but
she you forgot one part of the st was going
to be there. And she's like, it's gonna be me, Sophie, Cidey,
Carol and Jed and I'm going to marry Max and
and here all there and she marries Max.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
No no, no, she went and found friends after those
It's like no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
She was like, I gotta find her video ladies help me.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
But again, it does show the power of will and
manifestation and in your thoughts and and everything else, because
I bet, like Sam said, this kid knew it pushed
him further in the world of soccer.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
But this is very random.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
But really, what are the chances you ever look at
your parents' yearbook and you realize how old they looked
at seventeen?
Speaker 1 (32:07):
You're just looking at your parents yearbook and I was
gonna say, mud chops and mustaches, what's going on. I'd
always look at it.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
I'd always be fascinated looking at my parents, like high
school yearbooks and stuff, like why are they so old?
Looking anyway, I'd look at this picture of my dad,
like that's my dad.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
He's so weird, and it was Steve Covino Senior. And
he's like, eay, you're right, my dad.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
And right next to him was a guy named Steve Corvino, right,
and I'd be like, who's that guy?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
My dad had to know some jo he had a
similar name.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Everybody always confused us, right, So I always knew that
my dad Steve Corino was in his yearbook next to
a guy named Steve Corvino.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
Yes, that's weird.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
People always confused my name and misspelled it Corvino all
the time. It's always a hassle. But there was a
guy that existed. Long story short. Rich and I are
on a zoom meeting for iHeartMedia and Fox Sports Radio.
This is like a few months ago and we're in
a meeting and they pull up all the people from
iHeart and one of the first guys on the zoom
meeting is this guy.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Was it Phil Corvino? Phil? Yeah, Like I got like
Phil Corvino.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Phil Corvino's there's like, hey guys, and like, hey, what's up.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Phil.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
We don't know him from anything. Big is a big wig,
he's a big week.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
But it's our first time meeting him, and I jokingly say,
you know my dad he graduated with some guy named
Steve Corvino and my dad and he goes, where's your
dad from?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
I'm like Irvington, New Jersey. He goes, Steve Corvino, that's
my cousin.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
The chances, dude, what are they so guy I never
met before? Big wig got iHeart. Your cousin went to
high school with my dad.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
What are the chances?
Speaker 5 (33:43):
And we mentioned that because he had looked at the
yearbook for so many years.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Yeah, there's so many random storis. I know, Sam has
one more pulled that and a Corvino hold that.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yes, I'm let's go to Manzi for an update. What's
going on? You know sports? I barely barely. Let's listen
find out.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
I believe they're called Argentina. I think they're big in
the world of soccer. I think so, guys. They've done
it once again, coming back from behind to defeat England
in the semi finals two to one. Argentina headed back
to the World Cup finals to defend their trophy. Leonna
and Messi assisted in both of those goals that happened
late in the game within seven minute, one of them
in stoppage time. Once again, Argentina comes back from behind.
(34:29):
They are going to face They're gonna face Spain Sunday
in New Jersey, in New Jersey. And there is another match, guys,
because third place. There's a match for third place Jersey.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Do you know Steve Corvino China. I don't, I don't.
Speaker 5 (34:43):
But there is another match that's England and France and
that's to fight for third place. That's gonna happen on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (35:21):

Speaker 2 (36:53):
I could talk about these stories of coincidence with you
all day off the air.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Sam.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
It's like we're living in a twil I have like
three or more than not even worth sharing on the air,
but stories of coincidence like that.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
At of your stories.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
A lot of your stories are like the Twilight Zone.
Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do. Riches's stories
are Doodoo Do Do Do. Dandy g is on the
phones at eighty seven seven ninety nine on Fox Iowa,
Sam playing some Twilight Zone on the ones and twos
are sound architect and of course Monsi's here with your
(37:26):
updates we're Covino and Rich congrats again to Argentina against
Espana in the World Cup. It's all settled, man, And
I can't wait. We got mikea whl Rudds's take next hour.
He has a theory he wants to share. It's gonna
get controversial, and Rich is gonna piss off some people, guaranteed,
Mike's and Mike's. You can't I can't wait to put
(37:48):
this cold Stone Steve Boston in his place.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
All right?
Speaker 2 (37:51):
And uh, midweek major. I got a doozy of a
midweek major. Nice, Sam, you got a doozy of a story.
You think you can make it snappy since we're talking coincidance,
sports and life and is it just written in the stars?
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Guys? What's going on here? Sam? What's your story? It's
a pretty good one. So seventh grade, my reading teacher
is a woman named missus Hawtrey. She would tell our
class I have a son named Andrew who is a
commercial actor in Los Angeles, and so I would start
seeing him. I'd see him, like, you know, several commercials
per year, and I was very very much could recognize
his face. Fast forward to about three or four years ago,
(38:24):
I'm going to a pizza place called Geno's East in
Sherman Oaks, Oh, Chicago. But there's a bunch of ones
all over the country. So I'm at geno Zas ordering
a deep dish. I look up, someone asks what kind
of gift for here? I look up and I'm like, hey,
I recognize you. Are you Andrew Hawtrey, Missus Hawtrey's son.
He grew up in Iowa City too, but he was
he's he's like fifteen years older than me. What are
(38:44):
the chances that I would run into this guy? Who
is he walking?
Speaker 4 (38:48):
So He's like, yeah, it was like his his sort
of day to day jobs working at Pezria and then
doing gigs, commercial gigs and TV on the side. But
the chances of me meeting him in La at Geno's
East is like, mind blows.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
She would have heard of this guy, knew his face in
my life because yeah, you Sam's little reading teacher when
he was a kid, used to talk about her. Your
mom is missus hot Tree, So yeah, it's a little kid.
You're like, son lives in l A.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
And then we we we kicked.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
We were talking about Hawkeye sports and like we've were
like I've run into him a few times now over there,
and it's just it's amazing.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Coincidence are meant to be magic. By the way, we
do have more stories.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
We're going to get you to your phone calls, but
it's time for our tire rack play of the Day
live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Miguel Vargas went
yard against his old Dodgers teammate last night.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Oh God, what.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
Destroyed by Gil Vargas. Second down, Vargas the first time
All Star, one of the biggest surprises.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
I'm the biggest surprise in the sport. And then Chicago
White Sox stays off and makes.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
It sported up.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
That was courtesy of the All Star Game last night
on Fox our tyrec Play the Day and for over
forty years, Tyreck's been helping customers find the right tires
for how, what and where they drive. Ship fast and
free back by free Row has a protection, convenient installation
options like mobile tire installation, tirec dot com the way
tire buying should be. Now next hour, we'll talk more
about the All Star Game. Sort of anti climactic, but Rich,
(40:11):
if you could tell this story in two minutes, I.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Don't know if you can.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
But uh, there's some Green Bay Packer coincidences in your life.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
I don't want to talk about it, are you sure.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
About I feel like I've been tied to green weird
stories in the world of Green Bay Packer quarterbacks somehow
revolver around me. So think of the recent Green Bay quarterback.
Always I'm always, somehow how is much connected or tied
to them.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
I guess the world might never know.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
But you know what, last night All Star Game, you
mentioned it because I know Big Mike's gonna be biggest,
big lugheaded here in a few minutes and takeover. Mike's
not put you in a head log one of these days.
The uh, they all give you the Coldstone, stunter.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
Coldstone. Last night.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
I'm a big baseball fan. I'll be honest, hardly to
watch the pitch. To me, the home run derby out
shadows that game so much now it's been it's like
the excitement.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
It's almost like last year was great with the swing
off last year.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
But last last night, at one point Danny was like, wait,
the NL has one hit and it's like the seventh inning,
like they got two hits in the eighth or ninth.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
But maybe he's just props to the dominant Ale pitch.
Speaker 6 (41:19):
We didn't know the Ale pitchers were going to go
off like they were throwing one hundred miles prior. It's
the year of the pitcher, right. Pitching is dominating baseball.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
And on top of that, it's uh, it's almost like
the headlining band goes second for a reason at a concert.
I feel like with the All Star Game and the Derby,
it's like the headliner goes first and now you're watching
in the opening act.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
That's how I feel it is. Well, props to Clay
Clay Cody Bellinger.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
I'm a.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Congrats to Cody Bellinger. He gets a whelming MVP trophy.
He got a single drove in two runs, but it
was the pitchers that were dominant. It's just they couldn't
figure out who would wait out of them, ye know,
