Speaker 2 (00:36):
I don't know what we're bringing, man, We're bringing it,
bringing it to the entire nation. Black White brand, brown Field,
the vibration. So Covino and Rich. There is Steve Covino
and the Funky Bunch. Oh it's at the.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Name of the show. Now, I'm just one of the
funky ones.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, bro, you're so funk to find you got the
funk of forty thousand years. That's Danny g We got
the Kron, the Kron, got that one. We got yeah,
hell yeah, we got sixty Ryan. Here, we're gonna talk
Ben Johnson this hour. Rich always talking Johnson and of
course magic Ben Eddie Johnson. Just you know, midweek major

(01:14):
We do that every Wednesday. But we got to we
rock out. Let's go and sorry to flex on you
like Wade Boggs, but seriously, congratulations to Wade most ripped
guy in baseball at sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
You still like keep staring at that photo. I know,
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Also, congratulations side note to Russell Westbrook, even though I
wrote Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
All congrats to him too.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I think both russells that I confused many times just
because of the Russell and the w both thirty seven
retired Russell Rustbrook. Yeah, Jack Cole, I think my big
prediction and can we no agrees with me? We're going
to really enjoy Russell Wilson on CBS. Remember how A
Rod I'm sorry, what's his new name?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
A Rod?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yeah, well, you gotta explain the reference. You know, there's
a viral video of this dude Abrot's pimping out some
new like meal prep kit. Yeah, and every comment so
nobody knows the meal prep kit because they can only
focus on the It.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Looks like he has a zui.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
It looks like it looks like part of the meal
prep He's like, and I'm gonna just put this huge
zucchini in my genes.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
So yeah, Rich Rich was first to notice. Rich keeps
sending it to everybody. Well, anyway, a Rod, I'm sorry,
A Rod told you we're talking Johnson.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So anyway, A Rod the same way with all over
the new ones said the same way. We went from
thinking A Rod was a little bit of a Putts
that gripped the bat too tight, to like, now he's
the most likable broadcaster, Like, wow, he's knowledgeable game. He
admits that he admits that he came across the wrong
way so many times because he tried too hard. Yeah,
but A Rod went from putsy player that was the

(02:54):
best to really likable broadcaster. And I feel like man
and I feel like mister unlimited cringe use Wilson. I
feel like when you put him on that pregame and
postgame show, Danny G I feel like he's gonna really.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Come across likable.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
I hope you guys are right, because even though a
would you call him a Rod, was not likable for
a long time. He had a less of a punchable
face because of the cornball that Russell Wilson has been
over the years.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
But you know what you're those.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Seems like a great dude, great husband, all that, But
as far as all the drops we have in our
computer system of him being corny.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Well, if it doesn't work, he could always play second
base for the Savannah Bananas.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Which is an honor. I don't I don't mean any disrespect.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
When I think of Russell Wilson, though you're putting him
on a panel like I mean, how many more like
corny blonde quarterbacks do you need?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Right? Like the it's like like Boomer.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Phil Simms, It's it's all the same, like like CBS
is might need a little Russell Wilson to be honest
with es mate.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Well, speaking of quarterbacks, any final thoughts, I.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Know those aren't the guys anymore. The Eagles social media.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Team like Matt Ryan or something. We don't need that.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Do you think they misstepped when they high lighted Quinny
and Mitchell intercepting they're star of the team, Jalen hurts.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
You know, I don't think you mean a guy that
won them super exactly. I don't think you need.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
To make people look bad to lift other people right
like they should have not done that.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I think it's a bad look. I think it's a
bad look in life.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
You know, when you see people putting down other people
to boost themselves up, it should automatically, you know, raise
a red flag and tell you something. I don't I
don't buy that in life, and I don't buy that
here either, especially when it's your franchise. Dude, I think
I think it was a misstep. I wrote down the
same to you that just did. The more slang terms
are why you you know, why you're dragging me to
hype this guy up?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Like what I like? You know, I look at it
this way.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Cavino has a theory and this might be our one
and only complaint about Fox Sports Radio. Oh that's here,
drums please another drummer off? No, No, I'm just saying, like,
here comes some distant caveno.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Ryan, get the dump button button red. I'm not sure
if I'm gonna let this go on.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Always talks about how when you get profet headshots or
where your own video, it's supposed to make you look
more handsome than you are.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
And sometimes when they're trying to figure out the lighting here,
I'm like, oh goodness, this is your one big complaint.
You know, it's on video every day.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
It's just a great analogy, that is, it's like like
you're supposed to make.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Us slick as good as possible.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Like you ever see an actor actress in real life
and you're like, oh, but no, it makes them look
good looking lights and cameras that make why.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
They're not magicians.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
Right.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
We live in such a competitive world though, where everybody's
trying to cut on everybody and bring people down. Especially
in the NFL, everyone's trying to be the best. There's
gonna be plenty of people trying to throw hate and
shade at Jalen Hurts. You don't need that coming from
your own team. Well, and I get what we're just saying.
It's like we're on camera every day, But let's go
back and try can you make us look better? Then
let's go Can we look at the.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Rest of the Eagles social media though from this past
off season? Do they show highlights of Hurts as well?
Because it's fair he did throw the interception. They're just
trying to highlight their defense today.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
And then I don't know, Danny throw a better edit out?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Danny when you when you post all the best stuff
stuff you do, Yeah, unless it's for a joke. You
do know you're not gonna keep us like if we stutter,
bumble or say something wrong, you might edit that out
unless it's a joke.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
Rich, if I had to fix all your errors and mistakes. Rich,
it would take me ten hours to put the best
of the week together.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
How dare you?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
It's like, there's so many ways to look at this, Like,
let's say you work for a major corporation.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
We made the point, but go on. I love the
analogies because they're also on the money.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
You work for a major corporation, you get a big
promotion and they use the weakest picture possible to advertise it.
It's like, couldn't you have picked the better one? Like,
why would you pick that one? You know that's what
they're doing. They're making Jalen Hurts look like a clown
when he's your superstar of the team just to lift
up this other dude.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Makes no sense. Is it that deep?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
As the kid will say, it's not because it's probably
a young person that just posted it and was trying
to do something right. But you don't lift up your
your defensive player just to make yeah, Jalen Hurts look bad.
I feel you the end, yo, before we get into
my my favorite conversation of the day and has to
do with the Bears and Ben Johnson.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Watch again. We're gonna do that in a second.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
But I Love said during the update, because I listened,
Cavino takes off his headphones and SIPs his coffee.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I listen to every word you say, Isaac.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I wish I could hear that word from people I
live with at home, but anyway.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
So I hear you talking about The Browns have announced
that Deshaun Watson he's going to get he's going to
get the NOD game one, but Shador is going to
start Game two. So it is still a very equal,
open quarterback competition. Do you like that there's no clarity yet?
These the whole point of Minnesota saying, Hey, listen, we're

(07:45):
going with Kyler Murray. We want this team to know
we're a month out from the season, this is the
direction we're at least going to start in. Or do
you like the fact that they're both going to get
legit starting opportunities.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, I think I think that's the better way to
do it. I know it's two different situations, but when
you have two different guys start, remember early in preseason
games especially, you're not facing starters across the board, but
at least you're facing higher caliber than a quarterback would
in a second half of a preseason game.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
So there's a part of me that one there's the
other day I was like, oh wow, you know O'Connell's
being decisive in Minnesota. But now I'm like, you know,
there's still a month till the season starts, like we
still we are almost exactly four weeks until the kickoff
of the NFL season. Actually I think exactly four weeks, right,
so four weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
I think I think they could have given JJ McCarthy
maybe an equal start to see because now you said,
Kyler Murray, you may have committed too soon. Hey, they
made a desion stick with it. I I'm not talking
about it both sides of my mouth because the other.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Day to case by case situation, but the team by
team I should I guess.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
There is that as they said, Kevin O'Connell said, there
was a seemed to be a size of sizable gap
incremental sizable something. By the way, while you were talking
to Lowe Crown, I thought of the best example.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
He doesn't listen to no, I was listening to you.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
I feel like I'm at home again.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I thought it the best example talking I was, I
was checking Instagram.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
This how we were talking about like bringing people down
to lift you up, bringing bringing others down to lift
you up right. When Rich was in his previous relationship,
his ex girlfriend printed out a picture where she looked
so good, but it was like half of his head
was in the photo, and like, that's just the typical examples,

(09:34):
like why would you post this terrible or praying this
terrible photo of me where half my face is cut off?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
But she was to make you look great. I remember
she had she had local media.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
How many people post social media photos where you look
like a total mutant but they look great? So they posted,
and you're like, I don't want to be tagged in
that just because you think you look good. I look
like an ass. That's what they're doing. Yes, that's what
they're doing. A Jalen hurts here, don't.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Tag me on that. Could I tell a Cavino story?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Bro, you had that in a frame in your house,
and I remember I remember looking at this picture like
why is this framed your Your Frankenstein head is completely
cut off.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Meanwhile, my ex girlfriend looked really hot in the photo.
That was it? So it made it to the mantle.
That's not fair, I love.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Let me tell you a quick Cavino. Sorry, it made
me laugh. I thought of that then onto Ben Johnson.
You know, can you know the guy that ignores everything
you say?

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Who exactly I love? Well? Why are you trying to
establish this narrative that I don't like? I love that one.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
What is this the WNBA establishing false narratives.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I love the chron That's not what you said. I'm
kidding Cavino years ago. This is a great story about
making sure you look the best, because everyone is self
serving at the end of the day. Let's be honest completely.
There was a year around Christmas time and Kavino is
still with his ex wife. See I brought I brought

(10:51):
up his ex wife.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Today. The show doesn't go by without it. Yeah, I
mean that's every day.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Cavino shows us a picture of He's trying to figure out,
you know, you get multiple prints, which one you're going
to send out to the families, which Christmas card? Of course,
he gets his picture taken with Covino, his ex wife,
and his daughter with Sanna at the grove. Beautiful, the
perfect backdrop, like the best Santa Like it's beautiful. Coveno

(11:17):
wanted to pick one photo because he looked the most handsome,
but his little daughter's like eyes were closed.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
The one where she was smiling. It the one where
she was kid who cares? Yeah, I look, there.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Was one where she told kids in their expressions she
was smiling and cute on Santa's lap. But that picture,
Covino said, I don't look as handsome. I'm trying to
bring her down and lift me up.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Good for you.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
I do the exact same thing.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Right right, she's a little she was too little care
so anyway.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Hey, when she grows up, she can be in charge
of her family's a Christmas card photos. You have jurisdiction here.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Thank you, by the way, sorry to backtrack there. We
could talk Johnson, Okay, we'll talk. We need to talk
to some bears, you know.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Can I just say this too.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
It's so funny how there's such a thin line between
love and hate. Whenever I hate something, honestly, there really
is some truth to that. Yeah, well, I have enough
feelings to feel something, so maybe I do love it.
I used to hate when Richard schedule watch. Now that's
my favorite thing, seriously.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
As long as he only does it once an hour.
But I do love an hour.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I used to like roll my eyes like, oh my god,
here's a schedule watching thing. And now it's one of
my favorite things we do because I don't know, I get.
I get a big kick out of of really trying
to figure out where the teams are going.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
It's a lot of fun. And we got to talk
about the Bear.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I said, we're a month out, but who doesn't love
some schedule watching.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
The rich loves to look at the schedule game schedule watching.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
We got a special one today, Well.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
We got a special one because Ben Johnson, uh, head
coach of the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Oh this is great. I have the full quote. You
want to read the full quote for me. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Ben Johnson was talking about, you know, his season. He says,
you got thirty one other teams coming to training camp,
saying our goals to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I want more than that.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I want to have the highest scoring offense ever, which
happens to be the twenty thirteen Denver Broncos. I know
how many points they scored, thirty seven point nine a game.
I want to surpass them. This is the quote. I
want shutouts. I want blowouts. That's some big talk.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Now I looked at their schedule and according to Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
According to Las.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Vegas, I know, week to week the spreads are what
we all wait drawn, if that's your thing. But as
I Loo and Danny and Ryan everyone back me up,
there's futures for everything nowadays, right, Like you could bet
on a game in week thirteen and they haven't even
played a preseason game, but they do have the odds
for every seventeen of those games that the Bears have.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
And I told you before the show, I don't just
want wins and losses, I want blowout.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yes, So as of right now, the Bears our favorite
to win the game thirteen of the seventeen times, so
according to preseason Vegas odd point spreads. Remember yesterday we
said the Cardinals oh wen seventeen against the spread. No, no,
you said that, No, Vegas said it, and I said,

(14:20):
I could see them winning one or two tops. Vegas
doesn't have the Cardinals favored one time, but they had
them at least four wins, right, No, that was the
that was the over under. That's a separate bet bet
because they're not They're not you know, mutually exclusive, right,
but Vegas has each individual game. The Cardinals are an

(14:42):
underdog in all seventeen of their games before the season starts,
the Bears thirteen and four against the spread predicted. Now,
if you go through the schedule, let's hear it, blowouts.
You got a dinger ready, a little, a little something.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Ryan's got a donga ready, let's go Ryan.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Game one.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
This could be a blowout.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
And by the way of these preseason odds, the Bears
are not more than a touchdown favorite only one time. Okay,
so blowouts. Vegas is saying, not so fans with the blowouts,
all right? Week one against the Panthers. That game's in Carolina,
now road game. Carolina's improved. They were a mediocre eight

(15:24):
to nine playoff team last year. Blowout Week one, and
I don't think we're seeing a blow out there, do you?

Speaker 1 (15:35):
No?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Probably not week one. There's not many Week one blowouts.
Teams are a little more defense improvements. And the Panthers, again,
they weren't. They're not some bunk team. There were eight
to nine last year hoping to win that division. It's
a wide open NFC South. Maybe poly D's the new
mascot and that's what he meant. We don't even know.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Oh blowout? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Hey is jay Boy DJ BOI d I blow my
blowout to Chicago Gabs home against the Vikings Division game.
I don't think that's a blowout either. We just talked
about the Vikings. I'm not saying Kyler Murray is the
savior there, but blowout, what would you call blow they have?
They have a solid defense to touchdown with what seventeen point?

(16:18):
We're not seeing a blow out here seventeen as of
right now. I could see them be in two and oh,
but no blowouts. They're playing against the Eagles. That's a
close battle. We just talked about Jalen Hurts throwing picks
in preseason, just talked about their solid defense. Yeah, they're
nian Mitchell gonna be picking people off. I mean, is
everyone with me so far? Not that I care, but

(16:39):
I'm saying, like, oh and three. As far as as
far as blowouts, I see something coming though here.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Now.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
They're playing at home at Soldier Field against the Jets.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
All right, there's your first one games blowout. I like
that horn. And they're playing at the Packers. That's one
of the games.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
They're underdogs, so I'm not loving that they're playing at
the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
But we don't know what's going on with the Falcons quarterback?

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (17:11):
I mean, we don't even know what's doing in Atlanta?
Is it? Michael Pennix Junior? And by the way, thirty
seven point nine points a game, Like looking back in retrospect,
that's wild.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yeah, that was the Peyton Manning like really running up
to score season stream.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
I mean, those are those are big time goals, but
that sounds insane.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
I won't give Ben Johnson this one.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I think depending on if the Falcons are in disarray,
I could see, you know, it's an indoor game. I
could see the Bears just airing.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
The ball out.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Patriots not blowing out the pay No way, You're not
going to Seattle and blowing out in the Nope, Nope,
the Bucks.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Baker.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
The team's too competitive. I mean, you beat him, but
blow out. Like Danny said, that's more than two touties.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Competitive game.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
At home against the Saints blowout. I think you can
blow out the Saints at home.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
That's three. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
Their young quarterback came on strong second half of last season.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Lions Division game, They'll blow out Jags. You're not blowing
out You're not blowing out that team. Liam Collin that
team was they were a good team last year, Dolphins
in Miami.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
If you're going for blowouts, you gotta get.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Three Buffalo nope, Packers nope, Lions, Vikings, all division games
to end the season. So what do we got down?

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Three or fours? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Three, yes, we got three blowout? Have three Panthers Falcons?
I'm sorry, no, no Panthers. We said Jets, Falcons, Dolphins,
Bucks and Saints and Dolphins, Saints and Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
So oh yeah, we disagreed about the Saints.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Four. Tell Ben Johnson, Yeah, more like maybe four?

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Is that considered if a fourth of year games are blowouts?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Is that what he's talking he or he you know
he's talking about Like remember when remember when Belichick and
Tom Brady every week the points where they couldn't they couldn't.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Get it high enough every week.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
It was like Tanner Moll by the way, we only
focused on one half of the quote.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, he says, I.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Want shutouts, I want blowouts, So you forget about the shutouts.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
It's not happening. Maybe four blowouts, Well, hey, but they're.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Gonna be exciting that that's not really like that's just
realistic talk from how we see it now. I think
the Bears are exciting to watch it. I think they're
gonna be an exciting team. I'm excited to talk to
you in the next weeks about that division because I
think I want you know, I think we all not
only want to do a little more studying, but I
think we all want to see these teams take a
couple snaps right and see what we see what's doing.
Maybe some of the young talent, but that NFC North.

(19:46):
You tell me anyone that's so sure of themselves ranking
those four teams. There's people in the building here that
are like Packers are missing the playoffs, and other people
think the Packers are gonna win the division. There's people
that think the lionship has sailed. Others say Lions are
back baby and the Bears. Some people think Ben Johnson's
ready to dominate for years to come with GOFF and
I'm sorry with with Jalen uh, with Kayleb Williams and

(20:09):
that whole crew.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
So I don't know. In Minnesota, if they're five hundred teams,
that means they're given some people losses.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
So uh, we'll get to all that in the next
coming weeks as we get ready for the NFL season.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
All right, all right, so we got midweek major.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Danny g is gonna give you all the stories and
sports and pop culture. We decide how big these stories are.
Are they midweek or major? And we got more Cavino
and Rich Niche Carino and now I'm maaving for a

Wednesday we do something called mid Week Major. Let's go,

(23:34):
Covino and Rich get you over the middle of the week.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
When mid Week Major.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I love that we throw sports and pop culture headlines
and topics at the fellas and it's like the kids say,
that's Summit. We see in our score.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Mid Week Major.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Let's go, it's Wednsday. Oh, hang on, it's when or
I think before I hand things over to Danny g
who's covering for Iowa Sam. Of course, today we roll
the two big red love Dice, the Sexy Red Bone,
not those love Dice, the other ones in the main studio.

(24:15):
All right, I just rolled the six had an Alex
Rodriguez moment there one which means about all right, so
excuse because so Cavino gets to go first. And now,
ladies and gentlemen, the most famous person from rialto California

(24:39):
besides Ronnie Lott, R. J. Soward by the way, and
just Jammin Fresh and Death which stands for JJ fad
Danny Gee.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
I like it than you ever think about doing ring
announcing career. Serious, I feel like you could move over bombs.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
I actually was one of those ring card people with
the bathing suit in the high heels. Once I thought
her right, I was the fourth round first.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, well it's a perfect tie into my first story.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Here, guys, both boxers took a dive in the third round.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Uh not pictures of iloh, thank goodness. But Elijah's about
to put up some picks on our YouTube channel of
SI swimsuit model and TV personality Brooks Nader. Did you
guys see this last She's making headlines after being photographed
going topless during a family yacht vacation in Italy. The
twenty nine year old relaxed aboard a private yacht. It's
like all of our vacation, I mean.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
How private of zis?

Speaker 3 (25:41):
There is she any relation to Ralph Nader?

Speaker 5 (25:43):
By the way, though she's only wearing a bikini bottoms
in this photo while spending time with her parents and sister, Wow,
who seemed completely unfazed by this. The photos and video
quickly sparked online conversation because of the fa family setting,
but those close to Nators suggest that our relatives were
comfortable and supportive. It's interesting because her upbringing, she says,

(26:08):
was in a very conservative Christian household in Louisiana, where
she said even bikinis were discouraged. Boy, so guys flotation
devices in front of family mid week or major?

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I have to go week week well, in front of family.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
You're weirdo in front of family, you perverts?

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yes, that's odd.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
I don't care how you trying to normalize that. I'm
not rocking the uh banana in front of the parents ever,
and I will never expect like my sisters to be
compless in front of my dad to get out of here.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Bro, you're out of.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Your mind, especially coming from like my family's ultra conservative.
And I don't mean politically, I mean in that way,
like their cheeks are not out in front of my mind.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
You're out of your mind. No way.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Well, yes, that's that's why it's a story. I'd say
that's well, it's a major story. But I think it's
weak to do that in front of your family.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Rich. But what's the new show? She's on the reboot?
Oh uh.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
By the way, Danny J I got to see this.
For the record, I'm I'm not complaining. I'm just saying
in front of your family, right, I hear you?

Speaker 1 (27:16):
What was that that?

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
I will bay, Well, yeah, I will watch.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
I'm watching. I'm watching right now. By the way, Brooks
Nader gorgeous. I'm I'm a fan. Some people aren't more
naked families than others.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Listen, but she's not. Yeah, but but clearly she's comfortable
on her dad. It's awkward. Listen. In my many trips
to Europe, Barcelona, and she's from Louisiana.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
When you when you go overseas, people think it's weird.
How Americans are very weird about nudity. I'm not saying
whip them out. I mean, I'm not bump fine with it,
but I get it. It's unconventional. Yacht I dropped my
daughter off at pool parties. I'm like, you, better you,
what are you wearing right now?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Get out of here.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
You don't want to see your kids cheeks. Your goal
is that dad, is to keep their cheeks off the ground.
Keep them off for only fans. You don't want them
parading around like that in front of you, because if
they're doing it in front of you, what are they
doing it around everyone else? Good luck finding a swimsuit
for any young woman that does gonna have cheek exposure.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
How did you score it, Rich, I'm gonna say, I'm
gonna say it's major. I mean, she's a big deal.
You know, she's hot and she's got him out in
front of her dad. That is a little odd.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
But by the way, Manny Munno's in our YouTube channel.
He says, yeah, but is she holding her nose when
she jumps into the water.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Dude, that would be worse ight anywhere.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Tom Brady holding his nose is more offensive to me
when he jumps in the water than her with.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
The tap top.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
We got to make this clear. It's not about the nudity.
It's not she's a model. We get all that she's
traveling and doing her thing. It's about in front of
the family. Dude, that's that's crazy. Can you know is
more into in the nineties? Can you know used to
watch out girls go mild?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Right, let's move on.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
You say that, you say that, now, wait till your
kid goes up a little bit.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Let's jump into some NBA drama somehow. This Kawhi Clippers
thing is mostly flying under the radar. You guys know
about the alleged twenty million dollar aspiration and no show endorsement.
Of course, yeah, already wild. And now Pablo Torre uncovers
another alleged multimillion dollars side door payment funneled through Daktronics.
That's the company that built the Clippers giant video board.

(29:13):
Multiple high level execs are saying this deal was one
thousand percent away to circumvent the salary cap. So that
means two scandals of stalling Kawhi's trade to Toronto. That's
not happening right now. Steve Bomber's sweating because of possible fines,
lost draft picks, contract fallout. Here's the crazy part. Nobody,
not insiders, not reporters, not even the league office seems

(29:33):
to know where the NBA actually is with this thing.
It's the most Clippers drama ever, huge stakes money. Somehow,
most sports shows aren't even covering it Midweek or major,
very major, and.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
It's major because NBA does not want this to get
out because then what do they do? What happens if
they find this to be true, then what happens moving forward?

Speaker 4 (29:52):
Right?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
And who knows what other secrets other teams are keeping?
And you gotta blame is it Uncle Dennis?

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Who's yes, Uncle Dennis Dennis.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Uncle Dennis basically was like, yeah, we'll play for the
Clippers if you, you know, somehow get us this money,
make it happen. And they're like, well, what's he gonna
do for it? He's not gonna do anything for it.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
Story came out how he was trying to get some
sideways deals from Genie Buss in order to go to
the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Yeah, so you know, and he made it happen. I
guess props the Uncle Dennison away.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
I didn't, but it's a wild, wild story it's major,
and if it happens to be true, it's not good
for the NBA. I think it's major only because uh,
Pablo Tory just sticks his nose in other people's business
and listen, he's making a great living doing it. He
has become the investigator. Belichick's thinking like, thank god, he's
out too something else. But Uh Balmer and Adam Silver

(30:41):
are like, yo, Pablo, chill the f out because this guy.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
When when Pablo.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Tory digs into something, he seems to be really effective
at getting the dirt.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
So this story is not going away.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Whether or not the NBA wants it to go away,
maybe they address it and try to come up with
a deal now. But as of now, Danny g it
looks like it's only getting war. Yeah, Sticky, I think
wild story too, all right. Something you guys have joked
about on our show for years. Airport food prices.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
A recent Fox News Lifestyle story about twenty dollars airport
avocado toast lit up social media because travelers saw it
as the perfect symbol of how out of control airport
food prices have become. The dish, advertised as sprout bread, avocado,
olive oil, bacon and crushed red pepper looks so underwhelming
in the viral photo that celebrity chef Andrew Gruel joked

(31:29):
it appears that a preschooler made it, fueling even more outrage.
Commenters blasted not just the toast, but the broader trend
of airport's charging above restaurant level prices for low quality food.
The public has finally fed up, you guys with paying
premium prices for what many feel is overpriced mediocre airport
food midweek or major. Well, how much was the twenty

(31:52):
bucks for that kindergarten toast?

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Twenty dollars? Well, you already said it. Prices have always
been ridiculous, you know, like.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Fifteen dollars for a week ass sandwich at the airport.
But I can't say I understay. It's a mid story.
Here's why prices are always high. Avocado guacamole, it's always extra, right,
no matter where you go.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
It's gonna be twenty five. Just letting you know extra
quaca is gonna be extra three dollars.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
You have to realize that guacamole avocado is gonna be more.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
On top of this.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
Regular about a JFK Burger listed here for thirty eight dollars.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Yeah, everywhere press is ridiculous, but I expect to pay
more when there's avocado or guacamole on.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Hey, they got you by the huevos.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
As they say this is not major, I'm only saying
it's mid because listen, we travel.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
You travel, a lot of people travel, and you're used
to it.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
I remember, But there are times where unless it's on
the company diamond, I'm like, yeah, whatever, I'll I will
be very angry.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
I saw it. I had a double check at LAX.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
I was in one of the terminals where a sausage, egg.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
And cheese breakfast burrito was over twenty dollars.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
And I'm like, a breakfast burrito that you did literally
they heat up and give you a little wrapper, like
twenty four dollars.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
It is absurd. But Danny, what's your option at that point?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Man? You've got no option. It's like a stadium, right,
It's like you're in, you're you're you know, you screw all.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Right, let's wrap with this. I'll make it quick. Your
favorite sport the WNBA.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (33:13):
Their talk is on WNBA Talk on Fire again. ESPN
analyst Andrea Carter right, in the center of it. Fans
are blasting her, accusing her of gatekeeping who's allowed to
criticize coaches and players. Carter's been pushing back on people
she says only watch one clip, pile on and fuel
the outrage. WNBA fans are not taking this well. They're
calling her biased, calling ESPN biased, calling everybody biased, and

(33:37):
it's turned into this whole are you a real fan
or not?

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Drama.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
Everybody's convinced the other side doesn't actually watch the games.
And again, the story is bigger than the basketball itself,
mid weeker.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Major mids something.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
But you know, she's not wrong. Nobody's wanting who's watching
these games? Dude like it in their entirety.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
You're right. We asked, have you watched a full fever game?

Speaker 2 (34:00):
No, I have not, but we've commented on Kaitlyn and yeah,
get it wrong. She's right there, She's right on, But
you don't need to watch a full game to understand
the full story. So that's what we really want rolling with.
So that's the truth. That's the truth. My thake is
it's major okay because we're realizing that the drama around
the w NBA is what's perpetuating any attention this league

(34:24):
is getting. So the reality is, once the Kaitlin Clark
hitting all these three settled down like a year ago,
they're getting by on drama, and I think they should
lean into it.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
I've always said that the trance stuff is tricky.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
The coach and stuff, But the reality is when you're
on the bigger you get right. When we fill in
for Dan Patrick, guess what we get more of feedback
you got every step you take up, you get more feedback,
more affiliates, more feedback. That's you deal with the pros
and the cons, and with that always comes negativity.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
She's got to deal with it, all right, Thank you guys,
deal with it. Thank you, great job, Danny g Let's
go to I Love for an update.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Kron Hey, I'll tell you what. When I got this
text message from my wife early this morning, I texted back,
that's that's that's that's gotta be a lie. That's got
to be a scan. That's got to be false. It
was that the Los Angeles Lakers are being sold after
only ten months to Josh Kushner and Bob Eiger for
twelve point five billion dollars. Well, sorry, honey, it turned

(35:23):
out to be completely true. You were right, I was wrong.
Story of My Life. Lakers sold to Josh Kushner and
Bob Iiger twelve point five billion dollars, breaking a record,
only ten months after Dodgers owner Mark Walter bought the
team from the Bus family, which had owned the Lakers
for forty six years. Russell Westbrook announced his retirement today
after eighteen seasons. Westbrook, a nine time All Star NBA

(35:45):
Most Valuable Player twenty seventeen, holds the all time record
for triple doubles in the regular season with two hundred
and nine. That is the equivalent of about two and
a half full regular seasons of triple doubles alone. In
the NFL, the Cleveland Browns, announcing a short time ago,
Deshaun Watson will start their preseason opener Saturday against the Bears,
while Shador Sanders will start the Browns second preseason game

(36:07):
against the Buffalo Bills. In Major League Baseball, today, the
Tampa Bay Rays completed a nine to zero road trip
with an eight to four victory over the Athletics. Finally,
Cavino and Rich, you know how often in college football
you have former players come back to watch their former
team practice after I was like to graduate a run
out of eligibility. Well, that happened at a practice at

(36:29):
air Force and a former fullback named Nate Walker came
back to visit practice. But he came back in a
rather unique way. The school is the clue because their
former fullback, Nate Walker is now an F sixteen pilot.
So here's how it sounded on the practice field when
he came back to visit earlier.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
My guys, good luck this season.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
So air Force certainly has the market cornered on that
sort of return visit back to you guys.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Thank you, Thank you, Isaac, Well a little more NFL.
I got a couple thoughts as we are like you
said a month away, and some final thoughts on the
Lakers big sale today.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Cavino, Rich right here, Fox Sports Radio. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Everybody's got a price, everybody's gonna pay.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
But how much you will and pay for avocado? Toast
your question? How much you want to pay for the Lakers?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Dude, Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio Live from
the Fox Sports Radio Studio.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
How about over twelve billion? How about that?

Speaker 6 (37:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
And if you work in logistics, you know nothing moves
without you. Rich companies need skilled people now, and Express
Employment Pros can help you find contract or full time
work that fits you at no cost. Visit Expresspros dot
com can support get options, get to work, and you
pat out of work. To remind our a few things,
like we said Dan Patrick Hatrick. Starting Monday, Monday, Tuesday

(38:09):
and Wednesday next week Tomorrow, Old School and fifty Hits.
We reminiss, we throw it back, we get you involved,
give aways, some grilling, aprons, summer prize packs. So join
us tomorrow on Thursday, Old School and fifty Hits. And
I want to seamlessly promote our bonus pod over Promised.
We talk about our Patreon. We have an uncensored Patreon.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
We're rich. It's crazy, I mean, and it's true, well
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Yeah, we'd love for you to join us right Patreon,
dot com, Slash Covino and Rich Monday through Thursday. But
if you want to just get like a little taste
of what we do, we have like a hybrid show
called over Promised. It's a little bit of what we
do on Patreon and a little bit of what we
do on Fox Sports. Essentially, it's like a twenty thirty
minute bonus video podcast. Yeah, where we focus more on
sports like Fox Sports Radio, but we're totally uncensored because

(38:56):
we don't have I guess you would say the regulations
and we do it out of the other studio and everything,
so a lot to play a new episode. I think
it's some of the most fun stuff we do exactly.
So you could actually watch that for free, send it,
pass it around, and like I said, get a little
taste of what we do on Patreon two at Covino
and Rich fsr over promised episode one fifties available. Can
I tell everyone a fun story? Sure, because we're talking

(39:19):
about the Lakers being sold for twelve zero point five
billion dollars like moves man. You know what the best
part about this show is that Ryan doesn't realize the
littlest thing.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
I'm like, a, I'm like, you know what a dog's
like squirrel? And it looks this way? You think he
doesn't know that?

Speaker 2 (39:34):
You could people could pick that up in two minutes
after meeting you. You played the million dollar Man theme.
And who wasn't a big fan of the late great
Virgil and Ted Dbiassei Do you know the amazing Ted
Debiassi story. Ryan, I know you're a big wrestling fan.
Do you know the story. There's lots of stories, which one.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Here's the story. If people don't know this.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Do you remember when we were kids, Ted Dbiassi did
a famous bit where he yes, I'm young kid, to
dribble basketball ten times yep, And he goes, if you
dribble this ball ten times, and then he made it fifteen.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Hey kid, I'll give you five hundred bucks mah.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
And then on the fourteenth bounce, the million dollar man
kicks the ball away. The little kid cries, and a
million doll man said not getting the job done means
not getting paid. The kid's crying. Cute little black kid
crying goes away. Everyone's like, oh, so.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
He's a villain. Ted Dbasi talks about how that bit
made him even more.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Of a villain, like that was a really big moment
in him being one of the best heels in WWE,
like eighties nineties wrestling. Years later, Dbasi runs into the
Dude as a grown man.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
His name is Sean. He played college basketball.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Joked with DBAs that like, because you kicked that basketball
away for you, I became a basketball player. He was
the manager of a rental car place where Dbasi rented
a car, and he's like, you don't know who I am?
And million dollar man of course, like who are you kidd?
I'll take a picture of your fan and goes I'm
the kid and kicked away the basketball and like super
proud of Debisi was like, yo, man, you're doing well

(41:11):
for yourself. They took some photos and I just thought, like,
what's the chance of that happening?

Speaker 1 (41:14):
So cool? Like thirty forty years later.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
My favorite Debos story is when he was actually on
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and as kids were like, yeah, man,
he's he's that rich, like he's with Robin Leech or
what about the fact that because they really they led
into those gimmicks hard. I loved how he could have
win the belt, so he's like, I'm gonna make one
billion dollar belt.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Was awesome.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
Be would have been a better story if the Avis
manager car rental manager took out a switchblade and was like,
give me my million dollars.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Punt, give me my money. Would be even cooler.

Speaker 2 (41:46):
With interest, if we found out today that the Lakers
were sold for twelve point five billion to Ted No
that's a story man, well enjoy.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Listen Big Saley and Bashaw they'll talk about the Raios group.

Speaker 5 (42:01):
Rich don't even lie and say you're gonna watch Quarterback
or Hard Knocks tonight.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
You're not going tonight tonight, Danny g. I'll get into it, man,
but right after.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
I have to do pony ball sign ups at the
I have to volunteer tonight.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
But when I'm done with that, oh you know I'm watching.
I will see you guys tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Until then, Ariva dacci baby will see you in the
Promised Land.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
That agree and hump night. See you later
