(01:05):
We'll be covering the Canelo fight with Fox Sports, right, Cabron,
I'll be there. You see me at the staredown today.
I'm I'm betting against Canelo just for the heck of it,
because he's such a big favorite that what if he
slips up this guy he's fighting Dee Boulder and boss
Eble the guy he's fighting, No way, No, hal Berlanga
stands no chance. Berlanga is twenty two and oh he's

(01:26):
from Brooklyn. He's a tough kid. I watch them highlights
of him to try to get pumped up, and I
don't know, man. I know it's Canelo and he's one
of the maybe the poundful pound best guy over the
last decade. But uh, I'm gonna pull Steve Covino. Do
you know Cavino used to do Danny J. Cavino is
not much of a awesome He's not much of a
gambler like I am. But there was like a five
year period where Cavino would bet on whoever fought Mayweather,

(01:49):
assuming Mayweather would eventually lose, and he never did. That's
the truth. I put five hondo and I had no
money on Ricky Hatton.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Is like Rob Parker saying Tom Brady's last year was
every year that's till it finally was.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Rob Parker, Max Kellerman, you know yeah everyone. So we'll
be there in Vegas this weekend, Alabama on the twenty seventh.
Hope to see you there. Love taking the show on
the road, and you can do the same on the

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Quick note on our Auburn Live remote on the twenty seventh. Yeah,
guess what is the day before that? On our Thursday
show here before we go on the road, think about it.
Big dates September twenty six.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Oh do you remember anniversaries of ex girlfriends? Because that's
my high school girlfriend's anniversary. Oh the day's spot Losses Virginity, Yeah,
nine twenty six. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Colvino and Rich turn two years old on Thursday September twenty.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Sixth Wow, so our two year full time Yeah on
Fox Sports Radio anniversary Afternoon Drive celebration now Toddlers So
we'll also when I asked my first girlfriend to be
my girlfriend and junior high he wrote it on your
Bikey in nineteen ninety. Yeah, nine twenty six ninety.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
On that Thursday show, we'll have some special recordings on
the air and some cake to eat way too many
calories in the studio, and then the celebration is going
to spill over the following day there in Auburn. Perfect
on Friday to twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
So join us. Very cool. So we're starting our third
year YEP in Alabama. Nice man, that's really cool. So
two years already. Remember we did a year part time
before that. And if you're new to our show, we've
been on the air together for almost twenty years, but
our time at Fox has been tremendous. It'd be great
to celebrate with you on that day. I started together

(03:41):
when you were like seventeen then, yeah, we were like
fifteen years old radio. Honestly, we started in our early
twenties together. We've been together, not the brag, but in
radio years, you know, the odd couples going in their
own directions. And Rob's going to be joined by a
great new co host, Yeah, Kelvin Washington, who, by the way,
such a nice guy. They had a great at six
years we started doing a show together at Sirius XM

(04:04):
before the XM was even there serious satellite radio in
December oh four. So this December, this holiday season will
be twenty years I'm working with this knucklehead. Yeah yeah,
for real, hasn't that wait? Isn't it wild? Yep? Yep?
So celebrating two years nine twenty six and then we'll
be partying on on twenty seven in Alabama. When Danny
g said cake, I thought I thought he was bringing

(04:25):
the cakes. Oh oh no, all right, well listen a
lot to get to. Let's let's wrap up that last thought,
which is do you need to be aligned with people
you date politically, sports, teams, religion thoughts like where do
you draw the line? Again? People you date is different
than people you're friends with because, to go back to
what we said about our career, Rich and I lined

(04:47):
up in the fact that while we were both single,
young dudes at the time, but we were attracted to
different kinds of women. We both like sports, but he
liked the Mets, I like the Yankees. You know, we
had commonalities, but we rooted for different things. So friendships
are different, right, because you challenge each other, you rival
with each other. Please your relationships that you're when you're
with someone intimately. How much of a commonality do you want, Like,

(05:11):
I never wanted my girlfriend or wife to like the
same music that I liked, but it was important that
they liked music, right, So there's certain things. It just
depends how important it is to you. I mean friendships.
You're at a different because last night during that debate,
I was texting a bunch of random people. I have
friends that think Donald Trump's the worst guy on earth,

(05:32):
and I have other friends that think Donald Trump's a
great guy on earth. So I mean friendships. Listen, I
love all types of people as friends. I think that's
the best part of having friends. That's the way it
should be. So it used to be, right, Yeah, So
friendships that's different. You're right, Relationships someone you're laying next
to every night, someone you're in love with. I think
sports teams, it doesn't matter who she roots for, unless,

(05:54):
of course, like Danny said, if her family lives and
dies by a team that you hate, it might be awkward. Politically,
alone was never even a thought. I can't imagine like
loving a woman she's everything right, and you're like, but
I don't aligne with her political views like this, so
unheard of from our come up. But I understand today

(06:16):
and now especially that is definitely something that might be
on your mind. And we bring that up because yesterday
last night, right after the debates, you saw Taylor Swift
come out publicly and it shouldn't be a big deal,
but it's a huge deal and it does make you think, well,
then Travis Kelsey's probably on board. But is that a guarantee.

(06:37):
I don't know. I mean, what if ed Kelsey's like
you better cut her loose? I mean, who knows what
people think politically? And again, I get it, it's very
important stuff and we're moving forward, don't look backwards, but
there is something to be said about the past where
you sort of kept that stuff to yourself and you
didn't let it affect your relationships. Mm hm, we should

(06:59):
go back. We should go back to that vibe a
little bit. I missed that a little bit, Yeah, a
little bit. How about you know. I'll give you some
reminders too, just based on failed experiences, something you should
speak of before you get married and tie it down.
Rich always brings this up. And it's not like I
didn't have these conversations, it's just it didn't pan out
the way I wanted it to like, if you're in

(07:20):
a career where you might have to move one day,
you better make sure that she's aligned on that same
page with you before you both say I do. Because
I ended up traveling a lot for my career and
it didn't fly well with the woman I was with.
I had these talks, but I don't think we were
really aligned. I think that's important. Yeah, I dated a

(07:42):
girl that was Italian Brooklyn. The vibe was she's never leaving,
and I was like, I'm in broadcasting. Life might take
me out of New York, which it did. Yeah, you
can end up anywhere. And I remember being like, yeah,
I don't think she might say she would, but I
don't know if if I got a job in you know,
oh well, you know what. She was sure Texas. She

(08:03):
was never leaving wherever her family was. So when it
comes to whether or not you're aligned, I just wonder
if there's a weird pressure of Travis Kelcey now to
be like I to them with Kabola and then you know, Pat,
you know what happened in today's climate, especially with an
election coming up, if Travis Kelcey doesn't align with her
and speaks out publicly. They're already asked the Mahomes about it, right,

(08:23):
Mahome said, I'm not telling you, but they're gonna ask
Travis if they haven't already. If he says he's not
aligned with her, then it just looks like trouble and paradise,
and then social media causes this big controversy about how
they're no good for each other. But the Swifties will
be like, how could she be with that Trumper? He
almost has to be aligned just for optics.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I think there have been small indicators in the past
that Travis Kelcey probably aligns more with Kamala Harris. There's
just so maybe he just doesn't talk about it, but
there's been little hints and stuff. But I was going
to bring up a long time Democratic strategist, James Carville
famously always talks about his wife, who's a republic They
make it work. Maybe because he's from an old, older
school of like, we don't bring our work home with us,

(09:06):
or we talk.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
About it in a very impartial way. That's the way.
Why if you have to have the same exact thoughts
as as as anybody where there's a mutual respect for
your ideas like you could be you could be opposite
of someone to be like Yo, I don't agree with
you at all, but you articulate your feelings and thoughts
and I respect you, which is why you feel x
Y and yeah, which is what the sentiment should be.

(09:27):
And then again, here we are trying to solve the
world's problems. Could be not maybe we will one day,
but yeah for your spot and his wife did in
the line and they're still together and now they're look
at that and now they're lining up even more after
a good years.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Wouldn't be nice too if some people weren't so extreme
with it. I'm nobody to tell you what to do
with your life, but it used to be. I remember
growing up in family members they casually sometimes around election time,
would talk about voting and stuff going on with politics.
Not at the dinner table, obviously, but in a different setting.
But it was just a small part of who they were.

(10:01):
Wasn't who they were on Facebook with every post in
their picture and their profile and all.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
It didn't define it, right, It wasn't their identity. Yo.
In the early two thousands, when Rich and I started
the show, we were talking about voting for Bo bis
or not. Now you're voting for Kelly Clarkson, vote for
San Giant. Rich was all about voting for Taylor Hicks.
Now it's something totally different. So Kelsey does he have
to align with Taylor Swift? Now again, not to be

(10:27):
all gossipy, but Brittany Mahomes, it's been said that she
links up with Donald Trump. He thanked her right because
she was liking all his posts. So you would assume
that Patrick probably leans Donald Trump. Possibly doesn't have to be,
but possibly right, which means that him and Travis Kelcey

(10:48):
don't necessarily line up. And they're all hanging at the
US Opening. Yes, August, their normal friends could accept other people.
You could take that information and think what you want. Can.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
I do not want to do rail this topic at all,
but this bringing up the US Open, Taylor and Travis
being at at the US Open.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
They were singing along too.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I believe in a thing called love but the Darkness
and now it's back at It's back at number one
on like iTunes, and she wrote she's like a huge
fan of that song in the Darkness. Now, I'm a
huge I've been listening to Darkness since the beginning since
their inception in two and so she wrote Justin Hawkins,
the lead singer, like a handwritten note that thank you

(11:29):
for coming to my show. And I love that song.
I think it's one of the greatest of all times.
I bet that that knows worth like six figures. I
bet WM Taylor Swift, you know, I'm so happy for that.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
And I share a way back Wednesday. I mean, boring,
meaningless story, but it's important to me. I remember being
I worked in rock radio and we would have music meetings,
that's how it worked, and people record labels would present
the songs to the state, would bring food, and they
would bring food. They try to butter you up just
to play their music. I remember when they played The
Darkness I Believe in a thing called love to everyone

(12:00):
at the station, and it was such a breath of
fresh air for the music at that time. Yeah, you know,
it's early two thousands. It was like like New Metal era,
Limp Biscuits born, a lot of butt rock, Yeah, and
that was like a fun party song that everybody got behind.
And everyone thought The Darkness would be a much bigger band.
And they're good.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
They I think they're they're not. Everyone knows them as
one hit wonder, but I have all their albums. I
think they're so talented.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
And it was such a fun song. It's cool to
see them get as they kid. It's fun to see
them get their flowers shine. They're shine after all these years.
It's beautiful. I thought I thought it was, you know,
seeing Travis and Taylor sing along together. It was nice.
It was nice. And by the way, she loves that song,
so they line up musically. I have a handwritten note
from Taylor Swift. What and I'm gonna go in my

(12:48):
box of memories and find it because you know, my
daughter said to me for the Nault, when you're looking
for anything, you can't find it. Yeah, because we played
her first song and I worked in pop radio at
the time, and she was the type of person they
would write all the hosts like thank you for playing
my hey, dear Rich, thanks for all the supporting love
Taylor Swift, and like a nice little note, I gotta
put some gloves on before you handle that. Yeah, he

(13:09):
threw it value colle Taylor Swift, so.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Rich getting some some cheeto, Yeah, oil stain on it.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yeah, soy sauce all over it. Would you believe my
my daughter said to me for the first time. She's seven.
It was the first time she said something. I was like,
oh my god, she's getting older. She was singing along
to Taylor Swift in her room like a little seven
year old wood. But I heard her say it's a
long story, and I go, hey, buddy, yeah, dad, it's

(13:43):
love story, not long story. She goes, what do you
know about Taylor Shift? You don't know anything about pop music?

Speaker 3 (13:51):
And rich built his whole career and ideo, okay, does
she not know what you do for work?

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I have a handwritten letter. I'm a swifty. In fact,
have you shown her the letter? I'm gonna have to
go on YouTube too and show her clips of me
interviewing her. But oh wait, until she gets a little
more lippy, she's gonna be You're gonna be her hero
very soon. Wow. Yeah, I'm gonna I gave her a
cat oneesie. I did give her a cat onesie. You
can see that clip on YouTube. And by the way,

(14:18):
I'm a I think we'll do our daddy daughter thing
again for jingle Ball. Oh yeah, fun shingle Ball, my
heart's biggest concert. All right, listen, we're gonna get the
spots midweek Major. She say, Zaddy daughter, just checking. We
are Zaddy's ladies, Right, Shannon Sharp hacked aligning on things.

(14:38):
Let me give you one more pop culture tidbit because
then we will get into football and midwek Major. I
think the most interesting part of that thought, rich right,
being aligned is the political side of things was never
something that factored in, Like there's already so many factors
of your commonalities that are important, Like this is just
one other major layer you added to the mix. Oh,

(15:00):
I did have one other thing. I wanted to tell you.
Things that used to be, as Danny said, taboo, like yeah,
you don't talk about that at the dinner table. Another
thing that's become more and more old family business. Another
thing that's become more and more open that wasn't is salary.
Now I'm not gonna go telling you guys all my salary,

(15:21):
but back in the day that was like hush hush.
There's TikTokers and people that go to strangers like hey,
how much you make, and there's people that do it
for transparency. But all these young kids are broke, so
they don't care about it because they know they're all broke.
But what used to be frowned upon or taboo. You
don't talk about salary, politics, religion. These are all almost

(15:42):
the most open conversations. You guys are getting paid like
the old lady from a wedding scene. I get paid
in God. So yeah, now Rich is right about that.
It is something that's definitely more of an open conversation
with younger people, not for me. Well, before we get
this to midweek major and talk a little NFL, I

(16:03):
know you had some thoughts already, could ben on week
two as we kicked that off tomorrow with a little
AFC East Battle Buffalo, Miami's gonna be a fun one.
I just hope that Tyreek Hill gets there. Okay, yes,
so down buddy, and I say that respectfully. I like
what he said recently though about like it seemed like

(16:25):
everyone was a little wrong, that the police being aggressive,
more aggressive than they should have been. But he also
admitted that he should have complied and not been so rude,
not have been so rude. You know, having an attitude
doesn't warrant that aggressive behavior, but he did, he did
take accountability. I'm hoping. I'm hoping, like he said that

(16:46):
they could learn from everybody could learn from that. It's
one of the few times where that phrase doesn't annoy me, like,
hopefully this could be a learning moment that I actually
it really could be. I hope it would be really cool.
Hope I had one of the thought. And then again,
we'll get to NFL Week two the way. It's a
tough question, like this game in itself, like who do
you got? I think I got Miami here the hangtime,
we're going to talk about it, But I know something

(17:08):
else you love even more tacos close. Katy Perry and
Orlando Bloom. I mean, they've been in the news lot
recently based on some of the stuff she said, I
call her daddy and that effort about how she rewards
Orlando Bloom. Yeah, everyone's gonna go home and do the
dishes now. They were at a charity event and there
was a picture taken where he was just glaring at

(17:30):
Kim Kardashian's cheeks, and Katy Perry has since come out
and said, yeah, I don't blame him. I expect him
to totally fine. So was I. And is that when
you talk about things you need to find out about
someone before you end up marrying them or being serious,
do you test those jealousy layers? Like imagine if Katy

(17:51):
Perry's like you looked at her and it's a fight,
Like I have dated girls like that and it's not fun. Yeah,
but I mean it is rude be he can't normalize
Like it is rude bey behavior to be gawking at
other women in the presence of your significant other. Would
your girlfriend get mardens that he got caught if every
you know second on him, if you were at an event, yes,

(18:12):
let's say red carpet thing for fox boys biting my
knuckle like Lenny and Squiggy. Am I am I? How
obvious am I about this? You know what I mean? Like,
because you could do these things like a man, but
you could do it respectfully right and not get caught.
Jim carrying the mask which turns in like a wolf
and he's like jaw drops, Like, I don't blame Orlando Bloom.
He's a man. He has a pulse, he has We

(18:33):
have an instinct as men if you if your tongue
comes out like a staircase, but you don't want to
do it and embarrass the one you're with either, because
you know they will have they'll have a problem with it.
I think any woman with a spine will have an
issue with it. But is it safe to say unless
you make someone look stupid, Like if a good looking

(18:53):
woman walked by wearing barely nothing, like she was Bianca sensory, like, uh,
you know Kanye's wife, you're would your girl get mad
if you were like WHOA, Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:03):
I think a lot of women would be more upset
if it's some random. If it was a celebrity like
Kim Kardashian, then I think my girl would be like,
I'm looking at her too. We're all kind of you know, looking.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
At if we were like shwing. But yeah, if it's
some random and your being disrespectful, I think the key
to any the Keith, I'll give you the lesson and
then we'll move on to the NFL. The lesson always
is if you want to look at someone, point it
out to your wife, like look at her and make
it seem like you're disgusted. The tie my shoes, Like
if some girl walks by with nothing on your bay, honey,

(19:37):
can you believe she? Where is it in public? Where
did you go? I had to tie my shoes? Meanwhile,
I was getting a nice little eye full. So there's
got to be a more respectful way to do it.
And I'm not saying all End the Bloom was being disrespectful.
I'm saying he got caught by photographers. But I think
Katy Perry handled it well and that's gone viral. I
don't blame him one bit. How do you avoid that? Well? Hey, NFL, Well,

(20:00):
week two, got some thoughts already, we'll talk we'll talk
some football, we'll talk some quarterbacks. We'll talk about midweek.

of course, I'm like, oh yeah, yeah, and it is
something funny about it.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
That was for ll cool J, who has a new
album Nice all right. He taught us how to do
that way back in the day.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
And Danny g was telling me that you tip produced it. Yeah,
and it's supposed to be really good, really really good.
Talked about it all right.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Before we hand things over to the number one and
only host of this segment, we like to roll those
big red love dice in the main studio.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
I just rolled the nine oh nine. Let's see what
Dicky Davis has. Oh yes, seven, I go first, all right.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Cofino gets first take as we now get ready, ladies
and gentlemen, the most famous person from Scotch Plains New
Jersey besides Judy Bloom spotty boy.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Yeah, what is it going?

Speaker 6 (25:35):
Yeah, well, you stole my story as usual, but I'll
give you a few more details. So we know Taylor
swis chosen. We know who Brittany Mahomes kind of is backing,
sort of well chiefs k P. Patrick Mahomes staying out
of the political landscape by refusing to make a public
endorsement for a presidential candidate during a press conference today.
Earlier today, Mahomes was asked about the recent message from
President Trump towards his wife Britney for their support, who

(25:59):
also shout it out Britney on Fox and Friends this
morning after the debate.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Pretty Mahomes I back her so home.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Sort of dodged the question by saying He'll use this
platform to encourage people to vote, but.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Not for, not who to vote for.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Quote, inform people to get registered to vote, to inform
people to do their own research and then make the
best decision for them and their family. A couple side
notes from the whole political landscape if you want to
address them all at the same time, Caitlin Clark has
officially liked Taylor Swift's instagram of her endorsing.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Kamala and yeah right and to elaborate.

Speaker 6 (26:36):
Actually, a source close to Travis Kelcey said he will
be following in his girlfriend's footsteps and endorse.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Midweek or Major. I think this is major because of
the importance of this, as we described already previously on
the show. I think it put it puts my homes
in a really sticky situation. I like his approach though
I'm not here to tell you who to vote for,
but rock the vote. You know, he's just encouraging voting.
I think that's his best play because his best bud,

(27:06):
Travis is clearly team Taylor, team Kamala, and he's the
guy in the middle because it seems like Britney Mahomes
is Trump. I think it's a no win situation for
him to come forth and say anything. I'm not saying
he should just shut up and play football. I'm just
saying he's in the middle, and his best bet is
probably to just focus on football right now. Yeah, I

(27:28):
don't think it's a I think it's a no win,
But you know what, I'll say this major because we're
talking about major players in the game, the safest thing
someone could say in today's political landscape. And by the way,
I think this is it's major. It's major that people
are coming out, especially like the Caitlin Clark's and the
Tailor shifts of the world. Big you know, big women

(27:50):
in the world of sports and entertainment. But you know what,
I think there might be a part of people that
aren't a fan of Kamala Harris or Taylor Swift that
this inspires them to vote the other way. So I
don't know. I think, uh, if Taylor Shifts the reason
you're gonna vote for someone, Jesus, get a life. I mean,
I tell you, like you really your head against the wall.

(28:11):
If you're gonna vote for someone because a celebrity tells
you to again bang your head against I agree if
you're rich. But unfortunately, I think she has so much influence,
you know what I mean, Like it is, it is
gonna be impactful, even though it shouldn't be.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
It's lose lose because if you don't say anything, people
get on you. If you say something, people get on you.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah, useduld be if you didn't say anything, it was
like they're staying out of it.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Now.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
It's like, what you don't care, You're hiding your voice, Jasr.
Because Taylor's shift has come forth, You're gonna get Travis
as a result. You mentioned Caitlyn Clark. These are giant
names and sports very influential. So this whole story's major
in you know the other Caitlyn Jenner definitely Trump, Definitely Trump. Yeah,

(28:56):
all right, real quick.

Speaker 6 (28:57):
Sticking with Mahomes, I thought the story was funny. Raven's
cornerback Marlin hump Is having some fun or possibly throwing
shade at at Patrick Mahomes. After the Ravens fell to
the Chiefs twenty seven to twenty in the season opener,
Humphrey discussed the loss on his Punchline podcast, talking about,
you know, acknowledging how it's hard to be Kansas City,
how great Patrick Mahomes is. But he referred to Mahomes

(29:17):
as a chubby, fast dude. As you know, his dad
Bod photo came out, what was the end of last season.
He's just saying that he's always amazed that he's out
running or juking people on the backfield based on his physique.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
So Midweek or major. I think it's it's mid okay,
but I think it's humorous. But there's truth to it.
It's only funny because it's true. Mahomes does incredible things.
He's not an incredible looking specimen by any means. He's
a bit in person. I mean, he's a big, strapping dude.
But compared to the other guys in the NFL, it's
not like he's some sort of ripped DK Metcalf type. Yeah,

(29:55):
you don't need to look like DK Metcalf or Christian
McCaffrey to be a great football player. I mean, baseball's
the number one exhibit a Bartolo Cologne. I mean, yeah,
they've been great athletes. There have been great athletes that
aren't physical specimens. A Ron with the shirtoff looks like
some did Dad Bondis too. Cavino and a Ron with
their shirts off look identical. And that guy has seven
hundred home runs.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
That's great, right, Yeah, alright, NFL I will stick with
them has set a week one ratings record. The NFL
average twenty one million viewers per game during the opening week,
making it the most watched on record. Nielsen said that
the per game average on TV and digital platforms was
a twelve percent increase over last year. Number wise, that
equates to about one hundred and twenty three million people

(30:36):
seeing at least one part of the game Hyga since
twenty nineteen. Highest game season opener Chiefs Ravens twenty nine
point two million, and Brady's debut got twenty three point
nine million.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Mid Week or major major just shows you that football
still king. But it also shows you the impact. I
hate to say it, but to think that Taylor Shift
didn't have a part in that, you're crazy. She did. Yeah,
she did, But it just goes to show you how
many people are watching football. It's it's just amazing. I mean,
I think it's mid only because we all knew this
NFL's king, it's just even more more. Can you stab

(31:10):
to itself? Though? Yeah? But are you sure that video
earlier was not just Roger Goodell alone somewhere celebrating. I mean,
come on, phone, got one more Quickie's funny? Sure? Okay.
The White Sox are so bad? How bad are they? Uh?

Speaker 6 (31:27):
They're currently as of today, thirty three and one thirteen
this season, putting them on pace to have one of
the worst seasons in modern history. But to put it
in context, someone made this fun comparison, which was what
kind of stuck out is that NBA teams have won
more games since March than the White Sox. The example
they used, the Celtics have won thirty four games, the

(31:47):
White Sox thirty three. Worst record nineteen You mentioned it
rich your nineteen sixty two Mets, their debut season went
forty in the post two thousand era, the two thousand
and three Tigers went forty three and nineteen. Unless they
win eleven of the final fifteen games, they are in
pace to be one of the worst in history.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Midweaker Major. I think it's weak. I mean, it's an
embarrassing story. It's week on every level that a major
league team. Because here's what we're sad about it. They're
all great players. They have to be great to make
it to this level. But something's not stirring the kool
aid management upper management. Something's not right, and there's no
reason that a major league team should be this bad. No,

(32:28):
it's weak. Miguel Vargas, the pitcher that went from the
Dodgers to the White side. Every time I see his face,
I'm like, he's the saddest man in the village like
he is. Just what a sad story. That's embarrassing. Yeah, hey,
congrats White Sox, you've done it all right, Thank you, Spoddy.
Let's go to Dan Buyer for a loved Sam.

Speaker 8 (32:48):
Guys, you know where we're starting. Y're starting in Toronto. Well,
the Mets bats didn't get started until the top of
the ninth dinning. In fact, there were being no hit
by Bouten Francis until Francisco Lindor took the play oh
two hit.

Speaker 9 (33:01):
High in the air, deep right field, Glendor swings intends
it out to tie the game and deliver heartbreak to
the Blue Jays. Francisco Lindor and the ninth has tied
the game up and one, ripping the no hitter up
in penty, the Mets on the board with their first
hit in their first run.

Speaker 8 (33:19):
And obviously things only got better for the Mets and
the Mets Radio network, scoring five more times to get
that six to two victory. You guys want to hear
how it sounded on the Blue.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
Jay side of things, I would love it all right,
swinging a high fly ball, teep bright Field hooking and carne.

Speaker 10 (33:38):
Francisco Lindor breaks up the no hitter, almost identical to
how Taylor Ward did it a few weeks ago with
a leadoff home run, and this one will tie the game.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
It's one to one. Oh no, you know what, Danny,
I could just imagine this guy scratching out his no hit,
call the heritten out. Hey, yeah, probably had it all
written out right. And for the third time in Toronto
Blue history, he probably had.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
Yeah, he probably had his whole script clear. The Rich
Davis reaction, now that Blue Jays broadcaster didn't sound Canadian
enough to me. I don't know, Bomber, that.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Sounded bummer though, to think that he was probably in
his mind thinking about what he was going to say
because history was in the making, and just like that, Yeah,
it doesn't matter.

Speaker 8 (34:21):
I had a breaking news email Bowden Francis threw a
no hit or that, so then when it happens, I
just have to hit send and then it was evaporated,
just like that. Another Baseball news. Diamondbacks ended up routing
the Rangers today. A final score from Arizona's The Diamondbacks
remained two up on the Mets for the second wild

(34:41):
card in the National League Final score fourteen to four
over Texas Pirates beat the Marlins three to one. Guardians
top the White Sox six ' four. Jason Stewart's just
walking in my studio during my update. Just had no idea.
I'm like, what's going on you? He's still here. Some
news from the UH. They're doing a review of you.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Sam.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
He's like a secret shopper, that's what he's doing. He's
dropping on my rapid radio.

Speaker 8 (35:03):
Christian McCaffrey limited in practice today, as was Steelers quarterback
Russell Wilson. Packers head coach Matt Laflor says the door
still open for Jordan Love to play in Week two
against the Colts. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson off the injury
report wasn't even on it. In fact, he'll start Sunday
against the Raiders and T Higgins out for the Bengals,
Brown said, and David and Joku to miss Sunday against Jacksonville,

(35:24):
where he mostered to mister tomorrow for the Dolphins, while Devoni.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Chen is a game time decision back to you guys,
just playing stat boy. Dan Bayer all Right jokingly said
third no header. It would have been their second. The
Blue Jays only have one no header, and I'll give
you a hand. Coviedo. Name a Blue Jay pitcher from
our childhood initials d S d S from the Blue

(35:48):
Jays have no hitter? Yeah, not tor Rocket. Can I
get a crack at this?

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Go ahead. Dave Steve, Yes, Dave.

Speaker 8 (35:55):
Dave Steve pitched for the Blue Jays in the first
Brewer first game.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
I ever went to stadiumlays Brewers, Dave Steve, Jimmy Key,
and Rocket. Dave Steve. I didn't even think of Dave Steve. Yeah,
he is the only no hitter. So you're right. That
broadcaster was probably bumped out because he really was thinking,
without that I'm gonna make the call. And you're right,
broadcasters do have like a note like he made a
mental note, if anything. I bet he wrote it down
and after that happened, he scratched it off for the

(36:21):
second time in Blue Jay's history, they've done it no
hitter here in Toronto because that that call will live on,
so he had to have something prepared. Well, son of them, yep, Well,
thank you Dann Bayer, You're the man. Thank you Dan
More coven On Rich next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

we will definitely do some old school conversation. Always fun

run out of time, and tomorrow we welcome on over
Promised Josh Andresrivera. Josh Rivera, Well, if I'm not mistaken,
he dates the girl from Beauty and the Beast, that
live action movie. Is that your name again? The girl

(39:15):
he dates from Beauty and the Beast Josh Rivera's girlfriend, Oh,
Rachel's Yeah, yeah, he dates her. But he plays Aaron
Hernandez in the FX show coming up. I believe it
comes out in about a week September seventeenth on FX.
So what's it like portraying Aaron Hernandez And did he

(39:35):
hear from any Patriots and things like that. We'll talk
to him about everything tomorrow on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page.
That airs what four pm on the West, seven on
the East tomorrow Josh Rivera with Cavino and rich All.
I got two things to say. Number One, go Washington
Nationals tonight, beat up on the Braves. Do that for me?
Go Mets. You should feel great after that Mets. Yeah. Three,

(39:57):
I'm big. I'm feeling good right now. That was a
bvage as a fan. Now Bills and Dolphins. We'll get
ready for that as well tomorrow, but I wanted to
throw it out there right now that when it comes
to listen, I hate the sentiment of who needs it more,
because that won't affect how they play, But there is
a sentiment of who needs it more when you look

(40:18):
at the schedule and when you talk about tomorrow night
Bills at Dolphins, who needs it more? They're both want
to know, both off to a good start. But when
you look at the upcoming weeks the first quarter of
the season, Bills have a tough schedule. Dolphins have a
cake schedule. So if you want to talk about momentum
and getting off to a good start in the first
part of the year, after the Dolphins game tomorrow, the

(40:42):
Bills play Jacksonville, Baltimore Ravens, and the Houston Texans. Those
are three tough games for the Buffalo Bills. Now. Both
teams needed comebacks in Week one. Yeah, both teams started
yeah like trash and then got hot at the in
the second half.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
So I'm really curious to see the Dolphins defense. Weeks ago,
we talked about how they were missing some pieces from
free agency, and I want to see how they do
now in week two, now that they kind of got
their feet under themselves.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Another question, I'm sure some people speculate. You know, Colin
Cowhard likes to talk about the noise, a lot of
noise in Miami after the whole Tyreek Hill thing. You
could say, is that going to affect him? Is his
head all over the place. They're answering all these stupid
questions they don't they shouldn't be dealing with. But at
the same time, Tyreek Hill said that brought their team
a lot closer too. Yes, the storyline, a lot of

(41:35):
teammates were on the scene and saw it, and they
saw it, they talked about it, they dealt with it.
Things like that, could could you know, light up the
team a little bit? So again, let me just tell
you what's coming up because I am a sad, perpetual
schedule watcher. After this game tomorrow, Buffalo then plays at
home against Jacksonville, who just gave Miami struggles. Right, Jacksonville's

(41:57):
no slouch. I'm a cheek watcher like Orlando Blue. Now,
So they play the Jags and then they have to
go to Baltimore to play the Ravens, and then they
have to go to Houston to play the Texans. So again,
a very tough first quarter of the season for the Bills.
After Tomorrow night, the Dolphins. I mean, I know they're
Dan Byer's team, but I'm not too scared of the

(42:18):
Seahawks if I'm the Dolphins. So they play the Seahawks
the Titans, I don't know. Man Gino Smith. You saw
that he was the fastest run so this weekend or
they had a career high in explosiveness. He was running
over twenty one miles per hour. You could say going
to Seattle's tough, but the Dolphins has to go legs
the way he could and should. Yeah, it could be tough.
Dolphins have to go to Seattle, but then they play

(42:39):
the Titans and the Patriots. So I feel like Miami
has a little easier beginning of the season. So if
Miami could sneak a win out tomorrow, Miami could be
the team in that AFC East that jumps out to
maybe like a five and one start or four and two.
I think I think tomorrow's big because that division will
be competitive the whole season. Saying Buffalo needs it more, Yeah,
I think so. All right, we'll see you guys tomorrow.
Have a great night. Areriba there to see you in

(43:02):
the promised Goodbye?
