Speaker 1 (00:46):
And by the way, we'll be giving away speaking of Poppy,
we'll be giving away prizes today when we play Brainwave
the game this sweep in the Nation plus weekend hobnobin
coming up. We got a story about a rod. Is
it a rod or a rod?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Nowadays? About all that.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
That's not the only name change. Did you see the
other name change in Major League Baseball? What's the other one?
Remember when we were kids, Tim Rains out of nowhere
is like I'm Rock Rains.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
And then Mike Stanton became John Carlos Stanton.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Any others come to mind with let's see when it
comes to like just name changes. Taylor, Well, you know George,
it was George Bell and then there was like, no,
it's orgeye boar hey Bell, you know, but obviously the
same thing. But as a matter of what they call them.
There's one on Danny's Dodgers that I saw this morning,

(01:34):
your closer. He's no longer Edwin d S. He's ed
lost d S.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
And that was a lot of setup. That was a
lot of setup that jokes as good as your magic.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
He's not Edin another blown one? What is going on?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
You got he's struggled since he's returned from.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
The struggled all yet does he still have some Mets
stank on him?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Or what you said this before the season even started,
that he's an every other season kind of guy.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Edwin Diaz historically. I know it's only the sample sizes three,
but anytime he's with a new team, the first go
at it stinks and then he settles into unhittable. So
I said, there's a chance maybe campaign you're number one
with the Dodgers, And I was right, man. So we're
gonna talk about a Rod or a Rod or whatever

(02:29):
you want to call him in a few minutes. But Rich,
let's take one more phone call and we're gonna do
a little schedule watching because we're all pumped up, and
we're all pumped up like Wade Box about the preseason
NFL games. Actually, you know what, let's just get into
Rich's schedule watching. When it comes to are we choosing
the Raiders today? Let's do the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
My boy, Rich loves to look at the schedule.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Get schedule watching. I love schedule watching. You used to
make fun of meeting. Now it's your favorite thing. Not
gonna lie, yeah, because no one knows.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Is it really Covino's favorite thing? It is.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
It's like Jerry Seinfeld does this whole bit like great
and sucks, is sort of like it's the same thing.
It's the same thing, it really is. He has a
fine line there, so it is. It's great, but sometimes
it sucks. Now if you look at the Raiders, we've
done this with a few teams, and you know, for
the next couple of weeks, we'll schedule watch and like

(03:25):
every other you know person that thinks they know, we're
gonna pretend we know.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Hey, speaking of the Raiders, this is this is gonna
be number six that you've done this week.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
This is gonna give you. There's a guy named BJ,
Raider Painter. He does all the lines for the Raiders.
He paints all the lines on the field for the Raiders.
He's listening to the show right now, sending us pick
saying another great show. Boys.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah, so shout out to BJ. He's a guy that
actually paints. Look. Oh wow, look at it. That's him
only crap. Look at him. He's doing it as we speak.
So go ahead, Rich, what do you got for it?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
He could get us some seats right on the grass.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
You should make friends with BJ raider Painter. Maybe what
instead of the Raider logo instead a little pirate head. Also,
it's Danny G's head.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Have you seen the logo where Mendoza is the head.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yes, Now, let's go with the Raider schedule like I've
done for every other schedule, watch in I'm gonna tell
you what Vegas predicts now. While these games are some
of them are seventeen to twenty weeks away, considering Week
one hasn't happened yet. However, Danny, however, Vegas does give
futures odds on every game, Like you could look at

(04:38):
Week fifteen and if you really wanted to, you could
bet now on a Week fifteen or thirteen or seventeen game,
which is silly, but it's there. And the Raiders are
underdogs in fourteen of their seventeen games.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
However, in a non mutually exclusive bet there over over
win total is five and a half. So it's the
defense for sure, because even with Kirk cousins Man, he
looks solid yesterday. That's sort of the under the radar
storyline of yesterday is how good he looked.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, Robbie Leonard's the new DC and they obviously have
some good pieces on defense, but they need to put
it all together. They have a lot of young talent
now on the defensive side of the ball.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I look at the Raiders as a team that's gonna
be exciting. They might rip off an upset here or there,
but I look at the Raiders as a team with
Kirk cousins and some of those weapons and a bolstered line.
I think that they will beat other lower tier teams,
but I don't expect him to necessarily beat I don't

(05:38):
think you're gonna rip off some upsets against some of
the teams on the schedule. But let's go through it.
You start Week one against the Dolphins, your home in
Las Vegas. I think that's a dub. I think that's
a dub. I think you're one to oh there, Danny.
Then you go to Los Angeles, which will be a
home game for you because they'll be equal number of
Raiders fans in Los Angeles. Some Sorry, Isaac, I know

(06:01):
you do your work with the Chargers. I don't see
he's scowling at you for our radio listeners. I'm so sorry, frown.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Well, I'll say the Chargers following there at so Far
has gotten stronger.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Look at you now, Isaac's smiling.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I mean it's the truth. From the first Raider game
I attended at so Far to the most recent one,
I've noticed the increase of Chargers fans.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Is Madison Beer gonna be there?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Hope?

Speaker 1 (06:23):
So? Because then I'll go one and one. I do
think they will not beat the Chargers in Los Angeles,
then they play the Saints in Nolan's I don't know
why Vegas has the Saints at like over under seven
and a half games. I feel like they've done nothing
to impress me. I know you're saying the young quarterback
at the end of last year turned it on. I

(06:44):
could say I'm pretty clueless on the Saints right now. Well,
like I mean, I don't know. I think they're just
an average team, Danny, and I think the Raiders are
an average team right now. So I'm gonna give it
to your Raiders. I think the Raiders. The Raiders are
more exciting. I think there's something where there's gonna be
a buzz about your team. So I'm gonna go two
and one. I think they can go beat New Orleans.
Sorry Saints fans. So now you're two and one. But

(07:04):
here's where it gets dicey Danny. Yeah, four in a
row at home against the Chiefs two and two, the
Patriots two and three at home. He beat the Pets
last year at home against the Bills two and four,
the Rams two and five. Then you play the Jets
three and five. Now where do you think along here

(07:26):
Mendoza took over because I don't think you put Mendoza
in when you.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Have a start his season at the forty nine ers
and upset your team.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Here's the thing, there's gonna be ultra. There's so many
eyes on this kid in his career and what they do,
They're gonna do it when he's when he's one hundred.
I mean, I know they're gonna take any chance. I
know the fan base has curbed their enthusiasm. I know
they they they're not expecting Fernando Mendoza to going there
and all of a sudden, light it up in the oh,

(07:56):
the Raiders are twelve and five. I know that's not real.
But I don't think you let cousins start the first
couple and then you're like, let's go to Mendoza. And
I don't think you throw Mendoza out there to the Wolds.
That's for a high profile team. What I'm saying is
there's that stretch that I just said. I think if
you put Mendoza in during a four game stretch against
the Chiefs, Pats, Bills, and Rams, that does nothing for

(08:19):
a young man's confidence.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
I think.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I think that's why you got a guy like Kirk
Cousins to whether that store maybe try to steal one,
but who knows. So now I got you three and five, Danny,
half practically halfway through it, right, I think you beat
the Dolphins, Saints, and Jets. You ain't beat my Niners,
I'm sorry to tell you, unless, of course, they're decimated
with old guy injuries.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I feel that's gonna be a good game, though, where
is that game for ton of Raiders and attendance there
also in that bay?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Okay? Nice? That's so, I'm gonna give you three and six.
I don't think you win that. Then you play Seattle
in Vegas three seven, three and seven Broncos three and eight,
three and eight Browns.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
The Raiders backup, though the Raiders always play the Broncos.
Tought Denver. It's at Denver, right, doesn't matter where the Raiders.
You know, the past few years, up until the last
couple of wins by the Broncos, the Raiders were like
six and oh against about how about.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
I give you the Broncos at home two weeks after that,
I give you the Raiders split?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
All right?

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Are you splitting with the Chargers?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Though, I would say a split with the Chargers, but
you gave you gave them. Oh no, you said, don't
be a silly boy, Danny. Hey, you know you know
Indivision tough. But I'm gonna be in my mind realistic.
I'm gonna say always super weirsh I'm gonna say.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I'm gonna say, you lose against the Chargers four and nine,
you beat the Broncos the second one, five and nine.
I think you beat the Titans six and ten.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Cardinals. We have no idea what to expect.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
I think Cardinals you win, and I think you're sad.
How do I deal with the wrong math? Again? Is
this the second time? The second time? You skip the
tea before the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Did you skip the Browns?

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, the Browns.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
You just skip the Browns twelve.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
We left off on the Browns right there. Browns. So
I think that I think they beat the Browns. We
don't know what the heck's going on with the Browns, Danny.
To get to seven and ten, here's who you have
to beat, the Dolphins, the Saints, the Jets, split with
the Broncos, beat the Titans, beat the Cardinals, and that

(10:30):
actually gives you six wins and the Browns and you
skip the Browns again. Sevens hates the Browns. I feel
like they I don't like that what they did to
Joe Flako three, seven, seven and ten. Yep, that's seven
and ten.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
That's the over six and eleven.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Six and eleven. If you beat the teams that I
think you should beat, if you split with anyone in
your division, you could get to seven. Is that is
that a step in the right direction? Yeah, of course,
what if you now if I.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Mean, let's be on it. Five wins is a step
in the right direction compared to last season. They were
three and fourteen. Last year they existed. Thing like even
in the losses, how are they losing? Are they being
blown out and they're not competitive? Or are they moving
in the right direction?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I like, you know, for all we know, the Raiders
went and shocked me if they even did a little
better and stole one of those other games. Because you
have some big playmakers on that team, and we keep
forgetting you have a new head coach, you have a
new quarterback, you have a lot of It's like it's
like a fresh new toy. You don't know, Like there

(11:35):
have been teams that have gone three and thirteen three
and fourteen. The next year they rip off nine or
ten wins, and it's like, Mike Washington Junior, is that guy, Dude,
I mean, we're gonna be talking a lot about that dude.
I mean, Jay, of course, Danny. I'm only just going
for my own team's history. But I think every fan
in the NFL knows that one season where holy crap,
my team went from awful to bad I'm sorry, awful

(11:55):
to good or good to bad like that. You remember
under Jim Harbaugh the nine the year before, we're three
and thirteen, and then the next year they went thirteen
and three. Yeah, Saint Alex Smith and then in came
eventually Kaepernick. But this is there's a chance the Raiders
can make some noise, but I think they hit the
oldbody's good teams fall off like Count Rowley bro Well.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
I know, I know one thing. I'm confused, as a
lot of people are with the Raiders defense. We don't
know what that is yet. But their offense, just from
the limited amount we got to see yesterday, Clint Kubiak
immediate impact with his bunches and formations and everything. He
was thrown at the other team with his offense, light

(12:37):
years ahead of where the Raiders were last year with
their play calling.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
So we got the Raiders as seven in ten and
someone keeping track over to schedule. That's like the fourth
or fifth schedule watching we've done.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I'm gonna have to go back.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah, we're gonna have to beat track to see how
it goes because seven and ten is where we got them.
Keep this scribble scrabble you have here to see how
I accurate you are and follow us at Covino and
Rich at Fox Sports Radio. Now, didn't gears by the
way week one? I know we'll get there. I'm not
going to go there now. But week one, when you
look at some of the matchups like I'm I'm licking
my chops, I'm like, you know what a dog sees

(13:09):
a bone? Like, how are you not? Like? Could just
skipped the next few weeks.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
And by the way, there was a little bit of
Raiders talk today because of Mendoza. How did brock Bauer's
name never come up once? One of the best tight
ends in all of football?

Speaker 1 (13:22):
You guys, you guys gotta you guys, gotta steal with
that guy. The Jets could have easily had him right, Remember,
like the Jets just sort of passed on Brock Bowers.
I know, the Sunday night game Week one. Again, I'm
not going to get into week one yet. We still
plenty preseason. But Cowboys at Giants, I know it's a
divisional matchup, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
I mean, maybe just because you finally watch quarterback, you're
ready for Week one.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
No, but that's a that's a maybe. Jackson Dart and
we're forgetting that. Jackson Dart was really exciting before some
injuries and scatabooze doing backflips in the offseason. People already
hates me now after his Trump endorsement. Well, Donald Trump.
The other day they asked him, Donald Trump, who do
you think? Did you hear what he said? Trump goes,
I hear the Rams are gonna be good Ell and

(14:02):
Jackson Dart. And he gave Jackson Dart he's one of
my favorite. He gave him a specific shout out.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
So Jackson Dart, so.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Tag oh volle yah. Now I want to talk about
something else right now. You know football, Clearly, everybody's excited,
and you want to continue that excitement. Enjoy the games
this weekend. We'll talk about that in weekend hobnobbing, but
telling you Quarterback was Rich dis excited until you started
watching Quarterback. No, wait, till you start watching Hard Knocks, Danny.

(14:31):
I told you I just did. At the time. My excitement,
it's like I'm ready now, okay, fine, fair enough. Maybe
I needed my Niners to start. I hate to bring
you back to baseball because Rich is so tuned out
of baseball because of his Mets. But you got the
Little League World Series going on. That's a lot of
fun and ed lust DS. Yeah, I know ed lost DS,
but I'm still having fun watching George Lombard Junior and

(14:53):
my Yankees, and I'm still excited about baseball. You had
the Phillies with the nice win in Iowa. That was
pretty cool to see the field, the Dreams game. There's
exciting things going on. But there's another story that I
thought was interesting, something that really grinds my goat. That's
the expression, right, grinds my goat. Are like the mister

(15:16):
three thousand stats where you finished one or two short.
That kills me.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Man.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
I hate those type of moments. Have you ever see
that Birdie Mack movie. I've never seen it, but I
like the premise though mister three thousand, three thousand, Right,
he realized they take away one of his hits or whatever. Right,
what happens he realizes he doesn't actually have the right.
I've only seen it once, but I'm pretty sure they
do the calculations, and it's like way Bertie Max, he's
shy of the three thousand hits, so he has to

(15:43):
go back. Those type of moments always kill me, because, like,
how do you retire batting to ninety nine? I know
what you could think if you know, immediately thinks of
Andres Galaraga. That's another one, three hundred and ninety nine
home runs? Like, how do you retire like that? But
that's just being really comfortable, I guess with your career.
And that's exactly what A Rod said. He was really
content with the numbers he put up regardless. He said

(16:05):
that in that HBO Max documentary Alex Versus a Rod?
What did that? Six ninety seven? Six ninety seven? How
do you do that? I don't know, But we just
passed the anniversary of his retirement his last game. Michael
Kay was talking about Alex Rodriguez and get this, here's
the scoop on guys like A Rod and bonds and clements.

(16:26):
They're mostly getting like forty percent of the Hall of
Fame vote. Yeah, but their time is dwindling away, right,
You only get so much, what ten years eligibility or whatever. Well,
you retire five years, there's a five year window and
then ten years of eligibility, so a total of about
fifteen years to make it happen. I'll explain. But they're
getting about forty percent of the vote. Michael Kay said

(16:48):
that he said off the air and on the air
to Alex Rodriguez that hey man, why don't you just
come back out of retirement like Bernie Mack and mister
three thousand. Yeah, just for one at bat. Now, I'm saying,
screw the one at bat, go for seven hundred home runs,
try to get at least three hundred home run three
home runs? Why but I think, But here's the reason.

(17:09):
Simply one at bat, one at bat. He goes a
team like the Florida Marlins still go crazy for something
like that one at bat to take you out of
retirement to get your eligibility again for fifteen more years.
It restarts the clock. Restarts the clock because again you
get five years to become eligible again. And then ten
more years to get in. And by that time you've

(17:31):
bought time for voters to become old. You get time
to have new storys, you get new voters. But this
story also loses steam right the steroid era, and maybe
he gets in as a result, he would need one
at bat to prolong his eligibility. And maybe if a
rod were to do something like that, because he's in

(17:51):
great shape, why not maybe you get other players to
do the same thing. Lemons throws one pitch, Hey Bonds
jumps in there for an at bat or whatever you see.
Clemens left want to have it again, voters, because I
was told by the way Clements having a catcher with
this it was so cool, very viral and awesome to see.
What are your thoughts on something like that? Is this
too movie like to corny, unrealistic or something awesome? I

(18:15):
think it's, you know, cheating the system or finding the loophole.
But I also find there more reason for Alex Rodrigez
to do that. To get seven hundred home runs got
to be awesome. Think that dude can have three more
home runs in the big leagues. I think you're sacrificing
the integrity of the game. Yeah, but for the team
that's got nothing to play for. But I think playing

(18:37):
out one at bet right in one of these games
where a playing We're seeing so many games more than
ever now. I saw that the position player pitching an
inning and the ephis pitch is at an all time high.
So there's a lot of meaningless end of games. Harry
Sanchez was throwing us pitches the other day. I hate

(18:57):
to agree with you and Michael Kay and all the Yankees' lovers,
but I agree that a Rod I'm a fan, and
if it takes a little bit of a generational shift
to realize maybe a Rod should be in the Hall
of Fame, if it takes him to step into the
batter's box one time and then waiting fifteen years old.
But then what happens is you're right, he gets a
five year then all of a sudden he's not eligible

(19:18):
for five, and then the ten year windows starts. So realistically,
any voter that's old no offense could be dead, and
there's gonna be voters that aren't even voting yet that
might be like, yeah, you know, a rolist, think about it.
Forget about your feelings about steroids. Right, there's guys who
took steroids that are in the Hall of Fame. Yeah, right,
And you're gonna tell the story of the Hall of

(19:38):
Fame went out Bonds, Clements and Alex Rodriguez. That's a joke. Well,
think about how the narrative surrounding Pete Rose has changed
over the decades, right, or anything for that matter, think
of any social issue, politically or anything. We have definitely
changed our minds on all sides of the aisle on
issues and topics. Right, you don't think that perhaps a
sentiment of a Rod and staf roids in fifteen years

(20:01):
from that would be a different story. Becomes fatigued, it
loses steam. Younger people don't care about it. And I
know it sounds ridiculous. The old guy's dying. I know
it sounds ridiculous, But I really think it'd be funny
if a Rod took one at bat and reset the clock.
One at bat will be all it took to find
that loophole. And we want to see your thoughts to
hit us up at Covine own, which credit to Michael

(20:23):
Kay again. But I think it's a great idea. I
would love to see it, and I would love to
see him get seven hundred. I always hated the fact
he had six ninety seven. All right, so we're going
to play a game called Brainwave. We do it every Friday.

let me kiss ass for just ten seconds. I know

(23:21):
our boss is a big T Wolves fans. Did you
see there finally retiring Kevin Garnett's number in February a
nice ceremony and throwing it up in the rafter so
heg isolation in Minnesota. You gotta go to that or
what if you're if you're a T Wolves fan, you
got to head back for that. Yeah if you can, Yeah,
that'd be great. Let's do this. We do it every Friday.

(23:41):
It's a signal to me that the weekend's here. Brainwave,
Let's go do Coveno.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
And Rich really share the same brainday Rich chatting.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Chadny raining something, Sidney, Joe demagic.

Speaker 6 (23:53):
You is their crew not far behind. We're one.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Welcome to brainwave sense of the brain.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
It's easy. We dropped on sports, music and entertainment questions
and if you match with enough of these bosas you win.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
I love that. On the count of three, reveal grain
way oh, one, two, three, yeah yeahd In guys, you're
on the same way playing right.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Now, yo yo yo, Happy Friday.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
The questions in this game are all subjective. You just
need to try to match the brain of CNR and
the crew. Let's get our contestant from the studio lines
and then I'll explain the rules quickly. JD from Florida
was the first through.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
What up Florida?

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (24:38):
JD?

Speaker 3 (24:39):
What's up? Bu Hey guys, Hey doing goodness?

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Hear from you? What up?

Speaker 7 (24:44):
JD?

Speaker 2 (24:44):
JD. We're trying to get you one of these CNR
Summer Grilling aprons.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Okay, yep, I got a football, I need an.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Ap Let's go nice. I have five rounds ready and
he's gonna need to win two of them to be
the champ and walk away with that prize pack. I'm
going to ask a question, give three equal answers to
choose from the five of us from the show, will
write down our answers on these dry erase boards for
our YouTube channel. Then on the count of three, JD
shouts out his answer. He's got a match with three
out of the five of us to win the round
or no matter his answer. If all five of us

(25:12):
happen to match, it's a back door cover. He gets
the round.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
All right, are you ready?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yes? Ready?

Speaker 7 (25:17):
Do it?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Round one? Rich is playing with his dry erase board
over there. All right, And in honor of Rich, we
start with relationships.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Oh, let's go. I'm an expert.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Which action by your partner would bother you the most?
They had lunch with an X, they went through your phone,
or they complained about your relationship to their friends. Which
of these actions by your partner would bother you the most.
They had lunch with an X, they went through your phone,

(25:51):
or they complained about your relationship to their friends.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I think this is a pretty obvious one.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Perhaps you've said that before. We're right now answers, Okay,
everybody in lockdown loaded JD. We need your answer on
the counter. Three one two three. With that, he says,
lunch we start with Steve Covino.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Oh man, it's easy for me. It's the phone for
multiple reasons. Invasion of privacy. You're looking to fight, and
you're gonna find something if you look hard enough that
you're not gonna be happy when you know what. Right,
you could go to my phone because I'm not hiding anything,
And the other one was not talking to everyone looking
to your phone, they're going to find something.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
I knew Rich was going to say that.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Everyone talks smack a little bit. So talking to our
friends who cares in the phone, lunch with an X
can lead to some shot at aigains. I think that's
bad news, bad news Brown.

Speaker 8 (26:46):
All right, Ilo, y'all don't have to worry about finding
anything funny on my phone.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Lunch with an X, Okay, you know what.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
The public part of the complaining riches what's bad? So
I said, public complaining the friends, Okay, that happens. People,
people ven all right, So it comes down to Iowa, sound.

Speaker 9 (27:09):
Man, Well, yeah, ventings here friends about your singing together
is fine.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
People do that.

Speaker 9 (27:14):
Uh, lunch with the ex is of real red flag.
But I said, went going through the phone.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
I think that's a real phone.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
You got what do you got on that? They're sneaking
around enough to do that, They're gonna find anything to fight.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
With you about. Your screen is cracked, nobody can see
to worry about. Yeah, that's how you hide it, all right.
Round two, let's go to sweed. Hold on.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Now, if you were sleeping and she held your eyelids
open to get your face scanned, that's like, I mean
your phone or is she like, you know, getting your
fingerprint with scotch tape or something like that? Know your
code genius? I mean yeah, I mean you don't know
your girlfriend's coked? No, why would I I'm not a
snoop like you are? All right, I don't know like
my wife and I nowhere.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
This was a good topic because it caused you to
do yeah, I know, like all right, JD. We moved
around to let's go to sports. Which NFL storyline are
you most excited to see play out this season?

Speaker 7 (28:09):
Good?

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Can the Chiefs get back to Super Bowl form? Can
Aaron Rodgers make one more real run? Or which young
QB will take the biggest leap? Which those three NFL
storylines you're most excited to see play out this season,
Chiefs getting back to super Bowl form, possibly Aaron Rodgers
making one more real run, or which young QB will

(28:31):
take the biggest leap.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Okay, I think this is another no brainer.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Everybody locked, yes, sir, locked in Okay, JD one two three.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I'm going back toork cover and taking Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
He says, Aaron Rodgers, and we start with Iowa Samuel
in reverse order.

Speaker 9 (28:56):
I don't think anything's gonna come with Aaron Rodgers in
his last year, probably their playoff exit early on.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
So I went with Chiefs. Chiefs.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
You don't have Chiefs fatigue, Well they've been, They've drifted away.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Now the fatigue has turned to strength or something like that.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
JD. You get a point for me. Even though I
put the guys on an Aaron Rodgers timer, I still
think he's going to have our attention to start this season.

Speaker 8 (29:19):
Kind of sick and tired to the whole Aaron Rodgers
thing that's played out, So of the Chiefs on go
young quarterback.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Qub's all right, Rich.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Davis, Ilo, you and I seem to be the only
cats with a brain here, because I feel like Aaron
Rodgers that's the other two storylines are tired. Danny gives
us timers. When I talk about the Travis Taylor, you
give me a timer. When I talk about Aaron Rodgers,
talk about like his last chance, I talk about Mendoza,
You're gonna be licking your chops young QPS.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
I just don't feel like you're gonna be talking about
that till later in the year.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
But with you and Danny g I said rogers, because
whether you're sick of them or not, rooting for the
old guy always becomes like a fun storyline.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
All right, we go around three holy rollers. Tim Tebow
turns thirty nine today.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Whoa, it's whoa, whoa. That seems wild. So if he
would have been in the NFL all that time, he
would have like naturally retired or been like at the
very end.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
In his honor. Who would you rather go to church
with this sun?

Speaker 1 (30:19):
It's a great question.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
That is Chris Tucker, Mark Wahlberg or mc hammer. That's
very that's all three religious celebs. I researched. Which fun
celebs are also religious to go to church? I don't know.

Speaker 9 (30:34):
Chris Tucker was religious, Tucker, Mark Wahlberg and Ham.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
If you like Danny either dreamt this or he was high.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
No, I did the research on this.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
It doesn't disqualify that from happening.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Now. Everybody locked in, Yeah, locked in j D one
two three.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Middle late white guy. I gotta go with wag.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
He goes Wahlberg, Steve Covino, See you.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I said Wahlberg, because we could go hang out with
the funky bunch later on. Maybe go to Wallburger.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
You're trying to get a free burger.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
We can work out together, talk about and I think
Tucker as fun as he is, we've interviewed him. I
don't know, he's He's a lot to handle.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
I immediately disqualified Wallburger Holburg because I just feel like
black people have way more fun at church and white people, haven't,
you know. I mean, I like your reason. That's the
reason number one. And then I'm like, Chris Tucker could
be irritating, like do you hear the words that it
coming out of the preacher's mouth. I just think, like.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
You guys both had the same bad joke.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I love, but I love what I steal each other
the same jokes.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
It was not a bad joke.

Speaker 8 (31:41):
It was quite witty, Okay, since my thunder has been
officially stolen, and I didn't know that he was apparently
a pain in the you know what, Chris Tucker. So
he's a lot to handle, huh and against all am I.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
But we're on the same brainway, Bilo. I also said,
Chris Tucker, yeah, smoking, Yeah, what'd you say? Sam?

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Consequential?

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Now?

Speaker 1 (32:00):
But I was with JD here. I went with Wahlberg.

Speaker 9 (32:03):
Wahlberg dude, because I mean, I just am a fan
of him. Out of those, all right, most of those
you got to pray just to make it today, right, Yeah, JD.
You got to sweep the last two categories here. Let's
go to movies. Which movie would you have most liked
to be an extra in? Top Gun, Maverick, Gladiator, or
The Dark Knight? Which are these three movies? Would you

(32:26):
have most like to be an extra in? Top Gun, Maverick, Gladiator,
or The Dark Knight?

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Locked?

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Were all right in our answers? This one's obvious.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Locked in.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Give me one more time, Okay, which movie would you
have most liked to be an extra in? Top Gun, Maverick, Gladiator,
or The Dark Knight? All right, JD, we need your
answer in the count of three, one two three, Dark Knight.
He says, Dark Knight go in reverse order. Iowa, Sam,
I mean for.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
The costumes alone. I went with Gladdie Eater, come on
to wear cool leather and brass and stuff and cop
into you know.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Fabrics is oddly specific.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Leather and get to see and you'd get to see
Ridley Scott like losing his mind on the set. I
also said Gladiator, Hi.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Love, Yeah, you know. I also said Gladiator so.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
The ladies could chance back door lady.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Ladies could see me in my toga.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Don't let us down Rich, so that Cavino could finally
see my room and war helmet. Gladiator. Let's let's go
back door, baby. My only opposition was wearing sandals, because
that's what no know where I come from. But I
still said I will, I will take it.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Our crew kept you alive. We go to round five,
Come on, win, come on, last chance, We're gonna go
back to sports.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Let's think. Let's think what we would answer.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
If you could sit in one spot for a huge
game where you fifty yard line front row obviously NFL
court side at an NBA game, or behind home plate
at an MLB game.

Speaker 8 (34:09):
Sorry to be a jerk. But fifty yard line in
the front row. If it's maybe ten rows up, that's
better because it's front row, the players get.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
On your we rant it so best seat at an
NFL game, you could say that, or court side at
an NBA game, or behind home plate at MLB, think
about it?

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Got it all right? Everybody locked in, unlocked, and I
think it's so obvious, so please.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Please go yes, all right on the counter of three
JD one two three.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
I've missed all the obvious that I gotta go.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
NFL, He says, fifty line NFL. Maybe he could get
a backdoor cover. Steve Cavino.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
No, NFL seats are always the weakest, no matter what
court side. You're like a superstar, dude. You're right there
watching the game, right in the action.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Who Rich Davis?

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Who's our on the bonehead again?

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Who is this? J?

Speaker 6 (35:02):
D J D? I think we I had magic tickets.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
I had magic they said, n b A.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
I hope we can. I hope we could save you.
NFL stinks live. It's just fun. You want to be
part of the atmosphere. Baseball. A couple of hundred bucks
to be court side is baller.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
You need to be quart side, all right, Ilo, yeah,
so is it no penitentia but a slam done for me?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Court side?

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Oh? Come on?

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Is he gonna win this? On back to back back
door covers, I also said quart size, I.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Said fifty yard line.

Speaker 10 (35:39):
I'm sorry, sorry, j I literally couldn't have.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
JD JD. You were so close. But make sure you
call us next week when we're filling in for Dan Patrick.
We're going to do more game surprises. Okay, thanks buddy.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Here's my fault there.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Sam stayed on vacation two rounds in a row.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Let's get an update from everyone's favorite, Isaac Glowing Crown.
What's up, Crown?

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Our update? Sam ruined it for all of us.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I do that awesome through the whole weekend?

Speaker 6 (36:29):
Did I do that?

Speaker 1 (36:32):
He's the white Arkle?

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Meanwhile, I'm the white Stefan or Kell.

Speaker 7 (36:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (36:42):
Oh yeah, anyway, we love you, Sam. I'm sorry, all right.
The headlines a lot of NFL suspension guys. NFL today
suspended Atlanta Falcons defensive end James Pierce eight games vitolating
the Personal conduct policy. Pierce, of course, was arrested back
in February on charges that included felony aggravated back with
a deadly weapon, felony resisting an officer with violence, and

(37:03):
misdemeanor aggravated stalking. His legal team later made a deal
for the charges to be dismissed if Pierce completes an
intervention program. NFL also suspended Commander's defensive end Dorrance Armstrong
one game for violating the Personal Conduct Policy, Titans cornerback
Nazi Johnson's six games for violating the Performance Enhancing Substances policy,

(37:24):
and Bill's defensive tackle fla Darien Mathis three games for
violating the substance abuse policy. Yahoo Sports reported Seattle Seahawks
defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence will retire after the twenty twenty
sixth season. The New York Jets will hold quarterback Gino
Smith out of tonight's preseason game against Tampa Bay because
of minor foot soreness. In the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers

(37:46):
trading guard Dennis Shreuder and cash to Charlotte for guard
Trey Mann. And in Major League Baseball, today, Sea Suzuki's
three run home run was the difference to the Chicago
Cubs three to nothing win over the Saint Louis Cardinals,
and finally Cavino and Ridge Last Hour we told you
and actually played some of it for you. But the
seventh inning stretcher really feel today was performed by mister T.

(38:09):

you're about to hear. I'm going to play you in

ask you this.

Speaker 11 (38:44):

your own television series. When are you gonna put this
angry young man act behind you? Dump the hardware and
slip into a nice suit and a pair of toomccants, Huh.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
I don't like Tom McCain. I don't like suits.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Is mister t your real name? Would you ask? Pope
John Paul?

Speaker 2 (39:00):

cornfields and he has what say, we're at home runs
in seven days? I mean, how do you deny four
home runs in seven days? But props again, honorable mention

(40:44):

in one tuddy in his debut. But Kyle Schwarber's the guy,
and that leads us to weekend hobknock. Let's go live
