We're can do the humpy dance and keep you posted.
Monzie's got your updates on the final score?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Oh World Cup midness?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Well yeah, honestly, the update will be in about what
thirty seconds a minute? Monte, I mean any second now.
The referees can be like game England Argentina, Argentina up
to one. You just heard Monsei and yeah, I know
they want to rock you like a Harry Kane. But
people here I don't want to quote people here at
Fox Sports Radio. I don't want to start beef.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
But I heard a lot of f England.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
As Argentina came back. I don't anyone get that sentiment
at all.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I heard a lot of England.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
How would they won a World Cup sixty years ago?
I'm just telling you what teams won on this millennium,
arrogant and have bed teeth. They're awesome people. I'm just
telling you. I've been there twice, telling you what I heard. Hey,
my cousin lives in Leicester. My daughter is a dual
citizen man either good folks with bad cuisine another but good.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Times there and worst food.

Speaker 1 (01:24):

extra pumped up, not only because of great soccer that
it is now final. It's final, Man Argentina. The team's
crying fans are going crazy.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Moncy.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I'll tell you all about it. We'll break it down.
But on a personal note on our podcast today Covino
and Rich on Patreon, we caught up with the Fonds
Henry Winkler and he says he loves all of our
clips and what we're doing here. He gave it the
thumbs up A and if you missed it, catch our Patreon.
But we'd be what we're putting clips out and we
have exclusive interview questions for over promised our bonus pot

(02:26):
that you'll be hearing and seeing right here on this
YouTube page at Coveno on Rich FSR. It was weird
to have Henry Winkler said, at my kitchen island having
a bagel.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Hi, Hi, I'm the f So I love what you're
doing at Fox.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
So let me tell you an action pack day. There
is like a messy pump in his fist. Dude, he
had how many assists Moncey too?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Was it two?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
He definitely had the second one.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I don't know if he assisted the first one because
the first one by Enzo Fernandez, it was a clean
shot by him.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
By himself.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I think he had the Yeah, he had the assist
on that too, though, It's just yeah, oh he was
just so he.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Was out of the box. So I was like I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yes, it was like it wasn't a bang bang play.
I don't know the rules.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I'll tell you right now. If they gave him the assist, yeah,
I don't know who second gave it to him. He
did give him the assists.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
You're right on that.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
He just says, like, can you honestly put that in perspective?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Anybody?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, We're gonna talk
All Star Game midweek? Major Mike who runs this take?
It's gonna get controversial. Who Mike? Who runs his take? Well,
I guess full of it.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I mean, I love him.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
He has some really hard hitting stuff today, So stick around.
But put this in perspective. As far as like what
MESSI means to soccer? We know he's the goat, but
like is he? Now? I know it's worldwide so it's different,
But like, is he Jordan? Is he magic Johnson?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Like magic? The way he drops dome.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
That's what I'm saying. Is it more magic Johnson? Like
that assists? The way he places them, the way this
placement is impeccable? Like how would you describe him to
someone who doesn't know anything?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Like I think magic Johnson might be the best examt.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Yeah, because Magic was also an offensive threat himself, but
his passing was elite.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
So it's really insane when you think about what he's
doing at this age. Lessi's wife is hotel huh, I've
hear good for him?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
And how old is he now? Thirty eight? I mean,
do you expect him to not have a hot wife.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
He just turned I think he just yeah, he just
turned thirty eight. And on a side note, I got
to give credit to our boy KFC, who was also
a guest on our show over Promised again on YouTube
at kovin O and j FSR. That's our bonus podcast
guys on Fox Sports, so check it out. There's a
guy named Lamin Yamil on Spain. He's a nineteen year
old phenom. I'm sure you know him if you follow

(04:40):
soccer and this nineteen year old phenom. Have you seen
this story, Mansi? This is like the most remarkable weird story. No.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Also, he's thirty nine.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Sorry okay, yeah, turned thirty.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Nine, So forget this.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
When when Messi is twenty years he didn't get a
card from you. No, when he was twenty years old,
he was already like a legend. Right, he's already like
the guy everybody's crowning him to go. He's the future
of soccer. La men Emil's family won some sort of
unice contest, like a raffle of source, and they're like,
get this your meal family, We're gonna let your baby,

(05:18):
your five month old baby, take a picture with the
great messy. So there's a picture you're seeing floating around
the internet, and it's a young messy like bathing a
young black baby. I have it. I'll send it to you. Yeah, right,
but that young black baby, because my friends send it
to me because he's like, yeah, it's it's it's been

(05:39):
making the rounds, dude. The improbabilities of this happening are astronomical. Okay,
because that middle five month baby, that five month old
with the twenty year old MESSI they're going face to
face all these years later in the World Cup. How
crazy is that? And that's a true pick. That's a
true story. I think it's one of the most No,

(06:00):
it is. Yeah, you can see how he's got one
of the most random coincidences all time. Because you have
to I don't even know how you would factor in
the probabilities you know what I mean, It's like it's insane.
I remember on the show, we we've talked about the
improbabilities of things happening, like remember when Rizzo a ball
was hit to him at the Cubs game when he

(06:20):
was in the crowd on Rizzo Day. Yet there was
another one. Did you see the story in San Diego?
Get this? This is another viral story right now. Yeah,
did you see the airbnb story? These two sisters are
at an airbnb in San Diego and they're looking around
in all the artwork and that's a beautiful airbnb, sleek
and decorated beautifully, and like, wait a minute, there's like

(06:45):
a beautiful.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Stock photo of a beach on the wall. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
And they're like, wait a minute, there's dad, our brother,
me and you. We're in the photo on the wall
the airbnb. We just have so happened to book. And
they're like, yeah, we're we're in a stock photo we
had no clue about. And they found themselves on the
wall of the airbnb.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
They were hidden. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Now, this this lamin your mall story is pretty funny,
so pretty wild. You can see the picture now at
Covin and rich FSR on YouTube. So that little baby
Lamina mal of Spain is going against that dude's MESSI
all these years later, Wildlf, Sorry, I think you're gonna
mention the one of remember that couple that went to.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
A Disneyland Disneyland.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
That's not Ben Maller bathing v J Husky, No, no, no,
that's a young MESSI.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
I thought you were going to bring up the example
of a few years back, it might have been several now,
there was a couple who the guy saw himself in the.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Girls Disneyland Disneyland and they photos. That story blew my mind.
That's another good You don't know what Danny's talking about.
Let's just say he was at his now wife's house,
but when they were dating, he was at his girlfriend's
house and they happened to be looking through look at
Jessica when she was teenager, and he's like, oh, oh,
go back to that picture. He saw himself in the

(08:04):
background of one of her family photos. They happened to
be at disney on the same day, like a decade
or so before. Yeah, these like coincidental things. Just recently you,
I believe you told me the story of this couple
that went to the game on the wrong day, and
they were like, ah, screw it, we might as well
just go. They went, and they had tickets for the
next day. Yeah, so they just said, well, we're here

(08:26):
at the ballpark. It's the wrong day, but let's just go.
I forget who it was off the top of the dome, Danny,
you could figure it out, but whoever it is, hit
a home run to them on the top.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
And then on the next day they went to their
original ticket seats and it happened again the very next day,
same batter right to them. So yeah, the major coincidence.
And you know, it's only a story now that Argentina advances.
So I'm with you and our buddy KFC from Barstool,
who pointed it out when these statistical coincidences happened. I'm

(08:57):
fascinated by them. I can't think of it, but I
feel like, just recently there was another one I brought up, like, come,
you know, do you know the chance of that happening
is it got to be like one at a trillion.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
At the time Howard Stern pushed you on a swing
when you were a little baby.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
And then it's like, oh my god. We both worked
at serious exam but Danny g that's really funny because
that would be the equivalent of what's happening with this
La mean Yamal story, Like you know what I mean,
Like that's Howard Stern was pushing you on a swing
and oh my god, all these years later you work
together on some sort of line. There was another story
like this, because listen, there are billions of people on

(09:29):
planet Earth, so these coincidences are bound to happen.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Here and there.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
But oh, wasn't it A the two ballplayers that are
both redheads with the same name and they're both the
Oh yeah, they could both have they wear glasses, they
have beards, the same name. These things happen and when
they do. I the guys was on the A's I
can't remember his name, but the fact that this kid
at five months old your meal Lamin Yamal. Yeah, I
keep seeing the email because it was La Mean La

(09:55):
mean Yamal of Spain. It was a nineteen year old
phoenom kid A. But it would also require that him
rechieved greatness to this level at nineteen and for MESSI
to sustain his greatness for this long at thirty nine.
Like there's so many factors that have to happen for
that to be a probability possibility, and we're gonna see

(10:17):
it all go down as we get Argentina and Spain
in the World Cup finals. So there is a sauce
set man Argentina wins. I mean, this is not as coincidental,
but I'm always shocked even too by you here, Like, oh,
Adam Levine and Jonah Hill went to high school together. Yeah,
that's sick. I don't know if that's like birds of
a feather. I don't know how that works or just

(10:38):
a coincidence of like, like, no one from my high
school did anything you're telling me they were many Kravits
and Slash went to high school together. It's like, what
are the chances, you know, like you always hear these
cool stories. Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler were roommates, and really.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Those pictures you were talking about Rich Brady Fagel.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yes, dobmah, there's two Brady Fageld.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
They took a DNA test and.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
They had no relation and they both looked exactly alike.
And how it happened was, you know, they were like, oh,
they kept getting mistaken.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
For each other.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Obviously that's what happened so random coincidence written in the stars.
It was destiny meant to be.

Speaker 7 (11:14):
It was fated that England would collapse so that messy
bathing baby Jamal would eventually lead to a World Cup
of Yamal.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
You have to add that into this to the probability
Argentina had to come back again with like ten minutes
left to even make this happen.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Is fate.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Otherwise this story falls sut a story. Yeah, I just
saw someone hit us up. Otherwise it's just that, hey,
you know it could have been and then no one cares,
Like like IL would say the Ndie shoves catch and
O six would have been the greatest catcher in baseball
postseason history. But the Mets also it doesn't matter. It
wouldn't matter. You lose the significance. Someone hit us up.

(11:50):
Did you know that?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
And I have seen this before too.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
You know that if you're a wrestling fan WWE, of
course you remember Jeff Jared Jeff Jared Taylor, Swift baby
sat his kids like just stuff like that, like what's
the chance of these like wait, this person turned out
to be you know, yeah, when you think of like
how hard it is to make it. When you hear
the stories like that, you're like, oh, it is because

(12:13):
they all come from money and they run in the
same circles. Or is it coincidence? Like when you hear
even in the Charlie Sheen documentary recently Winning, like the
guy's growing up. I understand his dad was super famous. Yeah,
that's what he was growing up with Chris and Sean
Penn and George Clooney, like they all grew up together,
like running around the streets. Like coincidence or just I

(12:36):
don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I gotta just tell you.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
On a side note, they just pant to a woman
in the crowd who had Argentina face paint, and can
I tell you the difference between being on the losing
or winning side of that effort if you if you
paint your face, If you paint your face and your
team wins, you're like, yeah, you paint your face and
the teams lose, you have to walk out of that
stadium and spend the next hours like getting home.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Well, like a clown.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Could be smeared with tears, like a sad CLIs like
said English, do you remember there was a it was
a postseason game where there were these Jambronis in Houston.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
I know you hate the Astros, hate them all day.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Do you remember they were like a couple of idiots
dressed like astronauts that sat at the game. And I
remember being like, if you win, they went from astronauts
to astronaut.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Like you win, you're like, oh cool. You lose, You're like,
I'm dressed like an astronaut.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Even if you won, you're dressed like an astronaut.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
I think about the proud fans of like the black
Hole for the Raiders, like you win, you like fired up,
you get your if your team gets an ass weapon.
There you were spikes on your shoulders and silver faces.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
That we dress on a regular tuesdays.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I see those guys around town.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
All right, So Argentina defeats England two to one World
Cup coincident dance, you better freaking believe it. And then
the other question I posted and you can call if
you want or just hit us up later, where like
if you were to simplify how great or how are
the game a messy to a basketball fan or a

(14:03):
baseball fan, Like how would you describe it? And I
think the NYG sort of nailed it the way he plays,
the precision in which he passes, how he moves the
ball around, how he is unselfish with how he plays.
But very magic Johnson with the ability to score. It
is very magic Johnson. If you could come up with
a better example, please hit us up. But it was incredible,

(14:24):
another incredible performance. Trying to think of any other coincident
dance I could think of it. Those those type of
stories truly do fascinate me, Like they're like, what's the
chance of that? I mean, I know it's not so
much a coincidence, but like, like, what's the chance of
falling in love? Did you see that story from back
in the day where two players on a team just

(14:45):
swapped wives and families? It was the Yankee Yeah, yeah,
like they just happened to be like, wait, you're my
soul manage.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
Another story you guys have talked about on the air
with crazy coincidences involves two presidents.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Oh it's John F. Kennedy and Abe Lincoln. I was
just thinking about all the famous uh Rich secretary. Oh dude,
what about the Alex Smith Joe thisman injuries and how
like on the same like the yard line and the
same score of the game. By a defensive player that
was the year like it's written in the stars and
it's just hold the round repeat JFK Secretary and Lincoln
sects like the same name or there's so many yeah similarities,

(15:23):
and that whole jfk Abe Lincoln thing is very similar
to the Alex Smith Thiseman thing that Rich mentioned. It's
done the same way and it's almost too eerily similar
where you have to think, like, are we living in
like a parallel dimension? What's going on here we go?
Joe Thaiseman and Alex Smith? If we're gonna talk about
coincidences like U Yamal being bathed by Messi now yeah,

(15:44):
me and you Ma, Like it's it's really wild when
you think about it. Joe Thaisman broke his right tibia
and fibula. Alex Smith broke his right tibia and fibula.
The date both of those gruesome injuries happened. Both happened
on November eighteenth. What team did they play for?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Washington?

Speaker 1 (16:01):
The location a home game in DC. What yard line
did the injury happen on the thirty nine yard line
in both cases? What was the final score of both
of those games? Twenty three to twenty one who caused
the injury. Three time Defensive Player of the Year, Lawrence Taylor,
three time Defensive Player of the Year, JJ Watt Wow

(16:22):
left tackle. Pro bowler Joe Jacobi was off the field
during Thismand's injury. Pro bowler Trent Williams was off the
field in that moment during Alex Smith's injury. It is
two coincidental, like that's something year. It was meant to
happen now, right, And this was another just weird sports

(16:44):
coincidence that we had to share with you. And again
we only share it because it happened. If Argentina didn't win,
just now, it's a non story. And it really is
incredible that Messi's behind both assists to put Argentina again
victorious over England, as everybody saying, f England and man,
what a great World Cup it's been. So that's our thoughts.

(17:06):
Get to your story, and we said, got took All
Star Game last night. I gave you a little Lincoln
Kennedy side by side. You're down for a little history lesson. Yeah,
it's a while since I've heard this. Okay, I'll give
you some of these. This is the pure coincident dance
between Lincoln and Kennedy, and there was a tackle for
the Raiders named Lincoln Kennedy. He's used to be a
host on our network. Herek that that all ties together

(17:26):
knows Lincoln, Hey link, This guy must know all these facts.
Lincoln was elected to Congress eighteen forty six. Kennedy nineteen
forty six, elected President eighteen sixty, elected president nineteen sixty.
His wife lost a child while living in the White House.
Same with JFK. He was directly concerned with civil rights,
both of them. Lincoln was shot in the back of

(17:49):
the head in the presence of his wife. Kennedy was
shot in the back of the head in the presence
of his wife. Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy who
told him not to go to the theater. Kennedy had
a secretary named Lincoln who told him you might not want.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
To go to Dallas.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
That that one right there is the one that really
sticks in it. Kid was shot at the Ford Theater.
Kennedy was shot in a Lincoln made by Ford. Yeah,
it's insane. Though they were both shot on a Friday.
John Wilkes Booth is fifteen letters long, same with Lee
Harvey Oswald three names. Booth shot Lincoln in a theater

(18:26):
and fled to a warehouse. Oswald shot Kennedy from a
warehouse and fled to a theater. Booth was killed before
being brought to trial. So it was Oswald and Lincoln's
successor was Andrew Johnson born in eighteen oh eight. Kennedy's
successor Lyndon Johnson born in nineteen oh eight. Dude, that
was or we're just living on a loop, you know

(18:50):
what I mean? Like, wow, man, how many babies did
Messi bath? Uh?

Speaker 5 (18:55):
One?

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Imagine it was a contest where it's like and he
that year he bathed the two thousand babies, one of
them out to be a star. Sunday was he blessing
babies and we don't know why baptizing? Yeah, he was
blessing little future soccer stars. Man, that's a that's still wild,
even though I've heard that Kennedy Lincoln thinking million times
and so it's still mind blasted.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
If you're just joining us.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
There is a picture float around of of course Argentina
star Lionel Messi, who was only twenty as a young
man for a promotional contest bathing a five month old
baby who is now one of the star players of
Spain and they face each other in the World Cup
Final this weekend. Well, maam, the picture was from I

(19:38):
believe it was from seven. So there you have it,
your thoughts and you blew my mind again with those coincidences.
On a side personal note, Rich and I went to
where Kennedy was shot. Have you ever been there? It's
really eerie, you you know what it really is, one
of the eerie things. You're like the grassy Knowles right there.

(19:59):
And we lived in New y Ar during nine to eleven,
so you could argue ground zero that's a very special
sacred like said the emotional place right Also a song
where Martin King I was going to say the two
places we've been in the United States that make you
feel some type of way, Sam, was it a hotel
in Memphis, the Memphis Motel, But it looks like it's
like like times, it's like it's a historic place now.

(20:20):
But but you go there and you feel like something
in your stomach, like a pit in your stomach. And
when you go to Dallas where JFK was assassinating, have
street they have an X in the street anywhere it happened.
Even as like a tourist just walking by, you feel
like you're on the Zubruder film. I'm not joking, Like
it's it's such a surreal. It's like to walk around
you like you feel like instantly somber, and you're like, yeah,

(20:43):
panning around, looking around, and when you stand on that ax,
you're like, oh, this is weird. I don't know, but
we were there and it's a real story. Daly Plaza,
Daily Plaza. Yeah, a show, A show worth checking out.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Rich.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
I think you watched this. It's on Netflix now, eleven
twenty two sixty three.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, I watched. I watched it back of the day
when it was on. It might have been on Hulu
or another provider back then. But this is pre I
saw an alien James Franco, Right, this is like ye yeah,
this is like back this is before people said it
was a cree built James Shrink.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Yeah, this is the Stephen King show.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
I've always been a fan of his, of his work.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
But eleven twenty two sixty three, the day that Kennedy
got killed, Sam, you would love it if you haven't
seen it, have you seen that show?

Speaker 8 (21:21):
I have not.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
He's able to go. I'm not I want to give
it anything way, But he's able to time travel and
he goes back to nineteen sixty three, and his whole
motive of the show is like, could he do something
to prevent this assassination? We put it into Ai Chat
shept or whatever. Claude the probabilities or are we just
in the prisoner of the moment here the probabilities of

(21:43):
this one little kid being bathed by Messi all these
years later? What are the probabilities? It's like astronomical. I
would think astronomical chances because to achieve this level of greatness,
to play in a World Cup representing your country, for
them to still for him to be this young, to
be there, for him to still be there, for Argentina

(22:04):
to win, for Spain to advance. When you factor in
all the people in the world, for it to come
down to that astronomy.

Speaker 7 (22:12):
It's amazing. They're facing off. But what if your maul
was always reminded growing up. He's like, remember you are
a special child. You were bathed by Messi. So he's like,
I'm gonna grow up being white class soccer.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
You know what, Sam, I think there's power in that too, right.
It's like in his mind. He was always like blessed
by greatness, and oh, he's gonna be a soccer player.
We got this picture with MESSI and like that's the
power of thought too. I believe there's something to do
with that. You think it's coincidence that, I mean, this kid,
Can I tell you it is pretty.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
Mark Ai says, the answer is roughly won in a
few billion everybody.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I mean, we did something recently, and I hate bringing
up something where I don't have the answer, but there
was something on our show in the last year and
I was sure, I'm sure someone that pays close attention,
like a Trip or a Wes or someone would know.
I came in with like some like something like funny
bad happened to be like oh my team lost on something,
and I remember it being like the chance of that
happening was like one one, like a trillion. Great story, man,

(23:09):
how about the chances of me to night everyone being
in line with Josh Dumel twice in like two weeks.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
A good one?

Speaker 5 (23:14):
I into AI next.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, yeah, maybe maybe I'm just easily impressed. But I
always thought this was a crazy coincidence in our professional
broadcasting career. Rich and I this is a true story.
We're interviewing Sugar Ray Leonard and guess who came walking
down the hallway Sugar Ray Mark McGrath.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
We have a picture with a Come on, we got a.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Picture with Sugar Ray and Sugar Ray.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
We have a true story. What are the chances we
might be the only show? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Same as the thid, same thing. This first segment's blowing
my mind. I know, man, I know, but it does
really make you wonder what Sam said. Sam, it's a
great thought. I was thinking the same thing.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I swear like.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
It's the power of influence, right, if you're telling a
kid his whole life, you're gonna be great. Yeah, look
at me, MESSI was.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Giving the patch.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
We have a portrait in our messy kid like, yeah,
I'm gonna be a great, solid great. But the look
spot has a picture on standby.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Look at that. There we are there it is.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
It's us with two Sugar Rays on the same day,
same moment, same time, same place.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Where the chances Wow, one in ten billion odds of
that first figure out.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
That's what I figured, Danny g you know, is it
the power of influence and thought and mind, power of
telling his kid he was going to be a soccer player,
and he did because he you know.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Believed it.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
He still had to have like the talent and the
drive and to be and he's like a young guy's nineteen.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Yeah, that's crazy, Daniel chimes. Danny says, I think it
was the same chance as the Mets winning the World
Series one.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
You know what, Danny, we got to pull up the
field back. The chat is up at Coveno on rich
FSR on YouTube and your thoughts on where does Messi
stand as far as other examples, even though we know
he's more mammoth and bigger than all the stars we've
named world you know, congrats again to them. We still
got to talk to the all start.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
The true fun about these wildly statistically impossible coincidences is
like you're even fascinating when something simple happens, like like monsie,
where'd you go to college?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Kelsey Fullerton?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Now you bump into someone that went there, or someone's like,
oh you went there? How many times it's something like
oh my god, do you know?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
And no, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
I don't because like a college is big, there's tens
of thousands of students, but every on that rare occasion
has it happened with You're like, oh my god, they
were my roommate. By the way, that type of thing
happens once in a blue moments. Do you know what
MONSI and I met in a strange coincidence?

Speaker 2 (25:39):
I did.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
I was like, do you know sports?

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (25:42):
I was.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
I was at a bar in Sherman Oaks. I remember this.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I was. I was at a bar in Sherman Oaks
and I was like with a friend or a colleague,
and you went up to Monty and You're like, how
you doing right now?

Speaker 9 (25:52):
No?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
No, no, so my my buddy it was. It was
our buddy Jay from Serious EXCM, and I'm talking to
my buddy about like, yeah, man, Fox Sports Radio has
been really great for us, man, I'm so glad we
found a home at Fox Sports Radio. He's like, yeah,
how's it going. I'm like, going great, dude. You know,
we're doing Sunday nights now, but I think we're gonna
be full time soon. It's been such a blessing Fox
Sports Radio. Blah blah blah. Bartender comes up to me, like,

(26:14):
you know. A half hour later, he's like, hey, man,
were you saying Fox Sports Radio before, and I was like, yeah, wy.
He goes there is a girl across the bar. She
says she's celebrating with her friends because she just got
a job at Fox Sports Radio. And I look over
and it's Manzie and I never saw before in my life,
and now here she is on our show. Yeah truth,
say something to the effect of you're a girl you

(26:34):
know sports.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
It's so true.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Because and I was with my friends, so I had
like we were taking some shots naturally, and so when
the bartender comes back to me and he's like that
guy works out Fox Sports Radio, I was like what.
He's like, well, you were talking about it, and then
he's talking so I told him. And then I looked
at my friends and I was like, am I supposed
to go?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Say hi?

Speaker 4 (26:54):
And my friends were like, yeah, you cute, go ahead,
go ahead, And I was like, okay, I just took
a shop, all right, Okay, let's go. So I walk
over and I introduced myself and he was very very kind,
and he you asked me, like what my job was.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
I was like, I don't, I don't know, but I
but I'm hired. I'm gonna do some sort of like updates,
I think, and then he was like, you know, sports.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Whateverist like she didn't even know what she was doing,
so I didn't know. Yes, you know it was maybe
it was more innocent that it sounds. Yes, how what
a random point is?

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Right?

Speaker 1 (27:26):
And here we are, here we are I like, we're
running late, but uh really fun first half hour? How
are we going to top that? I feel magical, right,
I feel magical. I feel mystic. Now nothing is going
to compare it to the probabilities the impossibilities of this
messy Lamina mal story, Danny g said, won in like

(27:46):
ten billion chances.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
Of this happened.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Have you seen that?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
I'm sorry it was on like sixty minutes A couple
of months ago. There's a dad who found the video
of his daughter when she was like a little kid,
like maybe like Kindergarten's like, I'm gonna marry Billy Thompson.
And that's like the dad's like, who's Billy Thompson. She's like,
I'm gonna marry Billy Thompson. I think the name was Max.
She said yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
It was like, yeah, I'm gonna marry Max.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
And the dad plays it at her wedding when she
marries like Max Thompson like you stop, you know, but
she you forgot one part of this. I was going
to be there, and she's like.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
It's gonna be me, Sophie, Sidney, Carol and Jed and
I'm gonna marry Max and and you're all there and
she marries Max. No no, no, she went and found
friends after its like no, no, no. She was like,
I gotta find.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Video ladies help me.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
But again, it does show the power of will and
manifestation and in your thoughts and and everything else. Because
I bet, like Sam said, this kid knew it pushed
him further in the world of soccer. But this is
very random. But really, what are the chances you ever
look at your parents' yearbook and you realize how old
they looked at seventeen. You're just looking at your parents

(28:52):
yearbook and everyone I was gonna say, chops and mustaches,
what's going on?

Speaker 2 (28:56):
I'd always look at it.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I'd always be fascinated looking at my parents, like high
school books and stuff.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Like why are they so old?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Looking anyway, I'd look at this picture of my dad,
like that's my dad, He's so weird. And it was
Steve Covino Senior and He's like, yay, you're right, my dad.
And right next to him was a guy named Steve Corvino, right, and.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
I'd be like, who's that guy? My dad had to
know some j oh we had a similar name.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Everybody always confused us, right, So I always knew that
my dad, Steve Covino was in his yearbook next to
a guy named Steve Corvino. People always confused my name
and misspelled it Corvino all the time. It's always a hassle.
But there was a guy that existed. Long story short.
Rich and I are on a zoom meeting for iHeartMedia

(29:42):
and Fox Sports Radio. This is like a few months
ago and we're in a meeting and they pull up
all the people from iHeart and one of the first
guys on the zoom meeting is this guy.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Was it Phil Corvino?

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Like I guy like Phil Corvino. Phil Corvino's there was
like hey, guys, and like, hey, what's up Phil. We
don't know him from anything, Big sales, Big, he's a
big week. But it's our first time meeting him, and
I jokingly say, you know, my dad he graduated with
some guy named Steve Corvino, and my dad. He goes,
where's your dad from? I'm like Irvington, New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
He goes, Steve.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Corvino, that's my cousin. What are the chances, dude, what
are the so guy I never met before? Big we
got our heart. Your cousin went to high school with
my dad.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
What are the chances?

Speaker 3 (30:28):
And we mentioned that because you had looked at the
yearbook for so many, so many years.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Yeah, there's so many random serce, I know Sam has
one more. We hold that in a Corvino hold that. Yes,
I'm sorry. Let's go to Manzi for an update.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
What's going on? Oh, guys, you.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Know sports barely barely. Let's listen find out. I believe
they're called Arentina. I think they're big in the world
of soccer. I think so, guys.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
They've done it once again, coming back from behind to
defeat England in the semi final two to one. Argentina
headed back to the World Cup Finals to defend their trophy.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Leonnad and Messi assisted.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
In both of those goals that happened late in the game,
within seven minute, one of them in stoppage time. Once again,
Argentina comes back from behind. They are gonna face they're
gonna face Spain Sunday in New Jersey, in New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
And there is another match, guys, because third place. There's
a match for third place Jersey.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
You know, Steve Corvino, Tina, I don't, I don't.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
But there is another match that's England and France and
that's to fight for third place.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
That's gonna happen on Saturday.

Speaker 10 (31:36):
Hey, it's Ben, host of the Fifth Hour with Ben
Maller with me and a lot to have you join
us on our weekly auditory journey.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
You're asking one in God's name is the Fifth Hour?

Speaker 10 (31:45):
I'll tell you it's a spin off of that Ben
Malins show, a cold hit overnights on FSR. Why should
you listen? Picture if you will? A world will We

listen to the Fifth Hour with Ben Mather or the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Against Espana in the World Cup, it's all settled, man,
and I can't wait. We got Michael Rudds's take next Hour.
He has a theory he wants to share. It's gonna
get controversial, and Rich is gonna piss off some people, guaranteed.
Mike's Mike's you can't I can't wait to put this
cold Stone Steve Boston in his place, all right? And

(32:35):
Midweek Major. I got a doozy of a Midweek major. Nice, Sam,
you got a doozy of a story. You think you
can make it snappy since we're talking coincidance and sports
and life and is it just written in the stars. Guys,
what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Sam?

Speaker 7 (32:47):
What's your story? It's a pretty good one. So seventh grade,
my reading teacher is a woman named missus Hawtrey. She
would tell our class I have a son named Andrew
who is a commercial actor in Los Angeles, and so
I would start seeing him. I'd see him, like, you know,
several commercials per year, and I was very very much
could recognize his face. Fast forward to about three or
four years ago. I'm going to a pizza place called

(33:09):
Geno's East in Sherman Oaks. Oh, she's Chicago, but there's
a bunch of ones all over the country. So I'm
at geno Z East ordering a deep dish.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
I look up.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
Someone asks, Uh, what kind of gift for I look
up and I'm like, hey, I recognize you. Are you
Andrew Hawtrey, Missus Hawtrey's son. He grew up in Iowa
City too, but he was He's like fifteen years older
than me. What are the chances that I would run
into this guy?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Who is he walking? So he's like, yeah, it was
like his his sort.

Speaker 7 (33:33):
Of day to day job was working at Pezria and
then doing gigs, commercial gigs and TV on the side.
But the chances of me meeting him in La at
Geno's East is like mind blowing. She would have heard
about this guy his face and I'm like, yeah, I
know you. Sam's little reading teacher when he was a
kid used to talk about her.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
So your mom is Missus Hawtrey.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
So yeah, it's a little kid who're like son lives
in LA And.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Then we we kicked.

Speaker 7 (33:55):
We were talking about Hawkeye sports and like we've were
like I've run into him a few times now over there,
and it's just it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Coincidence are meant to be magic. By the way, we
do have more stories. We're gonna get you to your
phone calls, but it's time for our tire rack. Play
of the Day live from the Fox Sports Radio studio.
Miguel Vargas went yard against his old Dodgers teammate last night.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Oh God, destroyed by.

Speaker 11 (34:18):
My guil Vargas, Vargas the first time All Star, one
of the biggest surprises on the biggest surprise in the sport.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
And then Chicago White Sox stays off and makes it
sported up.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
That was courtesy of the All Star Game last night
on Fox our tyreck play the day and now next
hour we'll talk more about the All Star Game. Sort
of anti climactic. But Rich, if you could tell this
story in two minutes, I don't know if you can,
but uh, there's some Green Bay Packer coincidences in your life.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
I don't want to talk about it, are you sure?

Speaker 1 (34:53):
I feel like I've been tied to Green weird stories
in the world of Green Bay Packer quarterbacks somehow revolver
around me. So think of the recent Green Bay quarterback
Always I'm always somehow. How is Rich connected or tied
to them? I guess the world might never know. But
you know what, last night All Star Game, you mentioned
it because I know Big Mike's gonna be big, his

(35:16):
big lug headed here in a few minutes and takeover.
Mike's put you in ahead a lot.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
One of these days.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
They all give you the Coldstone, stunter Coldstone.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Last night.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
I'm a big baseball fan. I'll be honest, hardly watch
the pitch. To me, the home run derby out shadows
that game so much now it's been it's like the excitement.
It's almost like last year was great with the swing
off last year, but last last night, at one point
Danny was like, wait, the NL has one hit and
it's like the seventh inning, like they got two hits
in the eighth or ninth. Maybe just props to the

(35:48):
dominant Ale pitch.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
We didn't know the Ale pitchers were going to go
off like.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
They were throwing one hundred miles prior pitch. It's the
year of the pitcher. Right.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Pitching is dominating baseball. And on top of that, it's
a it's almost like the headlining band goes second for
a reason at a concert. I feel like with the
All Star Game and the Derby, it's like the headliner
goes first and now you're watching in the opening act.
That's how I feel it is. Well, props to Clay

(36:15):
Clay Cody Bellinger.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
I'm a.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Congrats to Cody Bellinger. He gets a whelming MVP trophy.
He got a single drove in two runs, but it
was the pitchers that were dominant. It's just they couldn't
figure out who would win out of them, you know,
And no one will remember that, and he'll just have
a trophy. Right's good for him. We have more Covino
on retch. Next, it's Fox Sports Radio The All Star Game.

(36:41):
Last night, al wins for nothing, dominant pitching from the AL,
A nice hit from from Cody Bellinger, he gets the MVP.
The reality is it's a pitchers game this year, a
lot of great pitching in Major League Baseball, and in
an All Star Game when the NL has one hit
going into the eighth inning and it's a soda, you know,
I don't know. Just to me, everything about it was

(37:02):
a bore fest. And I made the analogy that if
you go to a concert, you wait for the headliner,
you wait for the good songs. That's what you build
up to. I feel like the home run derby outshadows
the game so much now that I watched the derby
and then I'm like, the game to me is an afterthough,
Like I wasn't home, and when I got home, I
had no instinct to turn around. I went to the gym,

(37:23):
and I was not rushing home to check it out.
I like watching the intros of the players and the
crowd booing or cheering, but the actual game not feeling
it was fun, you know, I just had it on
the background. Last year was the anomaly year because last
year's game had the home run swing off at the end,
and I'm a big baseball fan. I just think the

(37:43):
derby is so good that the game could only be
a letdown, right, And we're also we're not only comparing
the All Star Game to the home run Derby to
last year's All Star Game, we're also like sort of
comparing it to the excitement that we've been experiencing with
the World Cup. And it was just the next point game.
And like in comparison to what we just saw with

(38:04):
Argentina and all these other games, it's like, you know, whatever,
it's like an exhibition. It's no big deal, you know,
and they're grave not. So you were on with Dan
Bayer earlier today, right, yes, filling info.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
Still, God, we were the company, weren't you?

Speaker 2 (38:16):
And company?

Speaker 1 (38:17):
We were the company, Would you guys talk about how
many one hundred mile an hour pitches were thrown? Wasn't
it like an upsurd amount?

Speaker 11 (38:22):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (38:23):
So, I actually didn't watch it because I was playing volleyball,
and then I didn't go back to watch it. And
I don't think I missed anything. No, based on the
highlights that I was keeping up, it's.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
All guys throwing a hundred miles an hour and just
a lot of pitching.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
And I'm sorry, but like, if I want to the
reason we liked the All Star Game is because we
want to see a home runs.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
We want to see, we want to see offense, and
it seemed like pitching good. The pitching was too good.
But it's like, this isn't what we want to see.
I don't want to see you shut them out. I
want to see some hits.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
I heard Danny Cheese boy Ben Maller like going off
on Philly, like what a Philly flop was? He said
Philly flop like five times about how Schwarbie came up
short in the home run derby and I think it
was a combined zero for five and just like Phillies
just left flat with all their players doing nothing. Fifteen
strikeouts the Ale pitchers had.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Yeah, and by the way, you're right, every every Philadelphia Philly.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
Rich nine pitches over one hundred miles per.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Hour, and Philly fans, actual Philly fans that were there
the entire All Star break had nothing to really cheer about.
So it was it was boring.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
Yeah, it was a boring game.

Speaker 7 (39:27):
Like if we get to that five minute little break
they had, that might have been the best part. And
even some people like Byron Mancy and even myself, we like,
I liked it, but I don't want to spoil too much.
But maybe that was the highlight of the night. Was that,
like that little interlude they did well they can't playing baseball.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Yeah, that was fine. We'll get back to your thoughts
on this. I don't want to make the man wait out.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
M volleyball or beach volleyball, regular volleyball. I can't jump
on the all the.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Girls wear like the little shorts I do.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
So it is rich, I mean not.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
All of them. It's co ed. So it's also dudes
on the team.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Now, I know Rich and everyone's thinking about you and
volleyball shorts.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
No, no, if you don't how to play, you can't
play with me. So you're you're, oh, yeah, no, I'm
not there to for fine, I'm there to win.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
You're you're one of those when someone brings a fill
in and they're not good, you like, watch you bring them?

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Yes, mm hmmm, I was do you know how to
play volleyball?

Speaker 4 (40:17):
Like?

Speaker 3 (40:17):
If I told you, can you set me a four?
Do you know what that is?

Speaker 1 (40:20):
No?

Speaker 3 (40:20):
So then you can't play. I'd rather play with five.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
I rather play with Is it a libero?

Speaker 3 (40:28):
We don't use a libero?

Speaker 1 (40:29):
But I just have the shorts, guys, that's all I have.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
No, you can sit on the sideline for me.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
I'm on vacation at all inclusive resort. I play with everyone.
I'm pretty good.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
I doubt I highly doubt that.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
I'm like, I'm like good for like on the beach
on vacation. Sure, I'll tell you this. I'm with you
when I play softball. When someone brings someone that's a
fill in, I'm like, why'd you bring someone that doesn't know,
like how to really play?

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (40:53):
I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Rick. Sports are the.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Pressure on the one guy who's just trying to like
do his best. I'm the one person who's feeling in
because you needed them. Everyone's judging the guy to play
with five. All right, Well there's a guy to my
left and you can see this is a sports coincidence
or not. Rich I don't know, because I've always I
never liked it or loved it. I always had to
have it. And we have Coldstone Mike right here. What's Michael,

(41:15):
Mike who runs this place? Well, gentleman, in the take
of the day, what's up man? Every week you come
in here and people are like, is this guy trying
to cancel the network?

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Well, Mike who runs this take? It is in true.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Big Mike may get to be in charge of the segment,
but he still doesn't run this place.

Speaker 6 (41:33):
He really doesn't even run this segment when you think
about it, because this Mike can be turned off by
Sam at any moment.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
I wouldn't do that.

Speaker 12 (41:39):
That may be true, but Big Mike does get to
pick the topic and then CNR offer there's strong opinions
on it. Consider it a warm up to Midweek Mature
Mike who runs this take?

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Also this Coldstone Steve Austin, Hello, gentlemen, what up Mike?

Speaker 2 (41:55):
All you Mike? Kick it away buddy please? Yeh By
the way I agree All Star Game was.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Because the derby is so good.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
That's the problem. Yeah, what are you gonna do? Yeah,
So today, and just to let you all behind the
curtain a little bit, I did I do? When I
have this segment, I will give everybody kind of a
heads up. Hey, Hey, here's what we're going to talk
about today.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
Prepare yourself so you guys have a chance.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
To come up with, you know, some thoughts on the
subject before I reveal my actual take on the subject. Okay,
So for today, and this is not sports related at all,
I would like to posit that every human being on
this planet, yeah, should be in therapy. Everybody can benefit

(42:41):
from therapy. Everybody can benefit from meditation. And I actually
think that therapy and meditation should be required. K through twelve.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
You had me a therapy, therapy and meditation.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
I actually think meditation can be very very helpful for everybody. Okay,
but I think therapy is more important.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
You said it doesn't necessarily tie into sports, but I
think it does too. Like you don't think Connor McGregor
needs someone to talk to right now, or someone you
know if any goat of any game Shanny mush I
should say of any game, I think they need to talk.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Let me give you the idea behind it is simply
that we're all in our own heads all the time,
like there's no what you really need, what therapy should
really provide for you is an objective voice, somebody that
you can bounce your feelings off of, even just your
thoughts off of, And somebody who can give you an objective,

(43:42):
honest opinion to keep you from going off the rails
when you don't even realize you're doing it because you've
got nobody to keep you in check.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Now you could be thinking, well, what's so hot about
that take? Mike who runs this take? But there's a
lot of people that are anti therapy and.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
Don't want to talk about their feelings. They meditate.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
But I think not only in and everyone's day to day,
but even honestly, I'm not trying to tie it back in,
but like a guy like Anthony Volpi who struggles under
the spotlight, I think could use some therapy. Chuck Knoblock,
who he saw half his yips issues in sports, I
think he can better.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
Saying this has nothing to do You know who else
needs therapy? The guy who doesn't think he needs therapy. Yeah,
that's who's who needs therapy.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
So now that you've stated your case, I'm going to
tell you I think you're incredibly wrong, and I'll tell
you why. Okay, I don't think everyone needs therapy. I
think a lot of people do. But here here's my thought.
You're too good for therapy. No, I think that therapy
doesn't help everyone. Like there's no uh, there's no one.
Stop shopping for for everyone for anything in life. You
can't blanket statements say everyone would benefit from therapy, because

(44:50):
I did. I feel like you said that. I feel
like their people. I feel like I would not benefit
at all. And I'll tell you why, because I feel
like every day I have an outlet, not only here,
but we do a podcast where we openly talk about
our personal issues and problems and thoughts and perspectives.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
I have an outlet that not many people have. That's
a point.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
No, it's it's an incredible point. Talkyody. Not everybody has
that luxury. But I'm saying, if you are talking about
your paint in the its teenage daughter, I'm talking about
oh I got this problem my kid or my wife.
We talk about these things way more in depth on
our Patreon and podcasts. So every day we're sort of
openly venting. And I very much rather throw my feelings
and emotions. And by the way, a lot of people

(45:35):
emotionally unavailable. I know for a fact, I am very open.
I'm a man that's okay about crying and showing my emotions.
And if I want to, I rather call you and
be like, hey, Mike, you know my wife and I
having an issue with this kind run to the bayou
as a friend. When someone's on the clock as a therapist,
I look at us like they don't care about me.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
You need something you need? What's it? Uh?

Speaker 1 (45:55):
An outside voice from a different an objective voice.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
And anyway, it's not even necessarily therapy like traditional therapy.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
You're a Sigmund Foid's cat.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
You talk to your priest, talk to your clergyman, or
whatever religion you happen to be. Generally, there's somebody that
can be objective, that can give you advice, but just
somebody that is not caught up in your world, somebody
that isn't invested you're in your success.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
What if I go out with one of my softball
buddies who has nothing to do with the entertainment industry
or what I do and him and I just vent
about like but I'll tell you that with that And
this is Mike's take. But if you're talking to your
softball buddies, they're gonna have your side no matter it's
a good friends they're no, they're not. They're always just
going to be like, hey, man, if if that's what's
right for you, you're never going to get that true

(46:46):
objective opinion from the other side. The true objective friend
gives you the hard truth.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
I think are good.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
Yeah, see, look at it.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I look at this.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Does that happen if I go to a therapist?

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Right?

Speaker 1 (46:57):
It's a good point too.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Who's to say?

Speaker 1 (46:59):
And again, call me judge. There's a lot of times
I'll see people that I know are therapists. I'm like,
they need therapy more than the therapy they're giving, to
the point where I'm like, okay, But my thought, Mike
is it. Let me finish My thought is I I
don't like that You're not the person. If you just
want someone to listen, talk to a woll then I don't.
There's people that I'm like, there's no way that person.

(47:19):
If I'm looking for someone to give me if I
saw on a marital thing or a parental thing, unless
I feel like I respect him. It's like going to
a gym and seeing a fat trainer.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Do I want that trainer?

Speaker 8 (47:28):
No?

Speaker 1 (47:29):
So my point being so unless together.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Rich, I'm actually going to agree with you that the
person you talk to you have to pick it is important,
is important, But I think it's important that they are
a professional and that they are objective. That's what I'm
talking about. And you're right because I did study psychology
when I was in college, long before I dropped out,
and what I found was in the psychology department, most

(47:58):
of the people I was going to school with were
bat as crazy and they and they became psychology majors
because they wanted to self diagnose. So you're absolutely right,
I will give you that. And a lot of people in.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
The industry, and nowadays, I feel so so many younger
generation people love to throw around words like narcissists or
gaslighting or this and that, and they're just terms.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Well, they don't know what they're talking about. That's why
you need a professional.

Speaker 1 (48:24):
So you're saying everyone needs therapy, how about this, you know, Vibe,
I'm getting seriously as as like the outset looking in
here because you're so against it. I feel like, deep down,
all you're saying is there's nothing some other third party
could tell you that you don't know yourself like I know.
But I know my shortcomings. I try to deal with them.
I don't need a person i've never met to be hey,

(48:44):
you know sometimes I'm not attentive enough on the times. Well,
he's saying everyone could benefit from you know, Douc, I
really have a hard time, like everyone every human on earth,
balancing family and work and everything. These are I don't
need a stranger to tell me that. I feel like
a pretty well adjusted person that if we talked. We
talked to Henry Winkler today and Rich asked them a question.
He goes, Rich goes, when did you know you had

(49:07):
it right right? Henry Winkler said, there was to day
eleven years ago I met this amazing person changed my
life and made me feel like I you know, I
really was good at what I did, and you know,
I I for the first time in my life through therapy.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
He said it, Henry Winkler, you're saying you're better at
this perspective. Rich That's what we're talking about, is finding
somebody to give you an objective perspective on what's going
on in your own head. You don't have to agree
with your therapist, but at least at least have the
conversation talk things.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Especially man, do you need to talk out? No?

Speaker 2 (49:43):
No, no, Men, you don't know what you need to
talk about.

Speaker 9 (49:46):
Men.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Don't you no idea that?

Speaker 1 (49:47):
Don't try kids that come to work. I try to
be a good husband, good dad.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
I don't have these demons. Don't you say my agree agreement.
I don't think Rich needs therapy. I really don't like
saying that guy everybody knows it the most, is the
one who needs it the most. But I really knowing
Rich a few years.

Speaker 7 (50:01):
Listen, there's a lot of a pretty positive guy, well adjusted,
well to do people out there who maybe don't need it.
But there's a lot of like crappy people who don't want.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
To change and they need changing about talking things through.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
A lot of guys don't. A lot of guys don't
talking about open up to people, right, but they can
open up. Like Tony Soprano couldn't open up to Pauline Walnuts,
but he just needed someone to talk to. So sometimes
you just need someone to bouncings off. That's not going
to be a judgy person in your life. That's going
to help you through things, not give you the answers,
but to talk through things. I'm talking about a friend

(50:33):
like I have some friends. By the way, hold on
to say, I'm not against Rich. I actually agree with
Rich too, because Rich and I are in a unique
situation where we speak about our feelings every day. Everybody
has that, but I'm talking about exception in addition to
being vulnerable and talking about our insecurities on the radio
and TV for years and do what we do. I

(50:54):
do have friends that, as they say, know where the
skeletons are the bodies, like I have friends that know
all the like wow you did that? Oh you should
have done. If you have some friends that you could
tell those harsh truths to, like yo, man, I gotta
tell you a story. It's I'm not proud of myself
for doing this. But if you have those friends that
know at all, I don't think everyone needs that. I

(51:15):
bet you would help a lot of people.

Speaker 9 (51:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
My point to you, Rich is as well adjusted happy
as you are. You are well adjusted generally happy content
or visual.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Or everyone to think that.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
What I'm saying to you is that therapy could make
you even happier. But what if it made me? What
if all of a sudden, therapy hit a switch that
I didn't need, Like it was like what if a.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
Doubt or something could if it's the thing with therapy,
I think you have to in the right person.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Well, that's that goes without saying right, so if you
open the door, that.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Is not one that needs to be a lot because
the person is not the right therapy.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
This is not what we're talking about. We're not talking
about getting bad therapy. We're talking about about getting the
therapy that he has a chance having somebody who's objective,
who is going to help you. But maybe Richard, that's
what we're talking said.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
You said therapy and meditation, right, meditations to meditate and
he loses that like energetic way about him and now
he's like some zend out.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
That's not what meditation does not take your energy here
and is like my energy is different today.

Speaker 7 (52:20):
The therapist feels you full of self doubt because they
may make you start thinking about things you never thought.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
Let me give you, let me give you an analogy.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
Though, what my therapist sucks? Will they get a new therapist?

Speaker 9 (52:37):
But what if?

Speaker 1 (52:37):
What if I don't need a therapist to begin with?
I'll give you any analogy. Howard Stern, if you if
you listen to the Stern Show back in the day
or now, Howard started when he started going to therapy,
which is a guy that needs therapy because he talks
about how his mom and dad never approved. I don't
have that story. My family, middle class, normal people. Let
me ask you this though. Howard would always ask his
guests like, will tell me about your me, about your

(53:00):
brother or father's And there were certain guests who was
it a Kevin Hard or someone's like, Howard, you're going
down like a road that like my family's fine, like
some people don't need like there's nothing from their childhood.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
Tough dad.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
It was someone though that I remember being like, you're
you're trying to find something that's not there on me.
I'll tell you one time. I did go to therapy
one time, and I'll tell you why. Before I got married,
I was dating a girl. We never got married, but
we lived together for years and we were hitting some
struggles right, and she had gone to a therapist. She
had some anxiety, she had some issues. Great girl, but
we were together a long time and I was like,

(53:35):
I don't know if I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
Marry this girl.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
We had just butted heads too much and and I
s wisely chose that it wasn't the right path. But
before we broke up, I was willing and opened to
go to a couple's therapist. And I felt like I
came out of those sessions Mike winning, just because I
felt like I out smarted the room. Because you have
an emotional person going to therapy, and I would just
be like, I'm listening, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
That's performative. I feel like therapy is also can be performance.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
That's because you're not more open to it.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
And you don't think that it's going to benefit, that's
going to pretend. So everybody else thinks.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Therapy next week, they'll take your copay in the lobby.
And you brought up Howard Stern. He's big on TM,
on transcendental meditation. He talks about all the time, and
you could see how therapy has changed his life and
his interviews completely. So it's a great question, though, do

(54:30):
you think everyone needs therapy? Just you guys think he
lost his edge. He's a better man, but a better interviewer,
you know, and probably a better man. I think if
you're in high pressure situations, it can only benefit. Here's
my take on it, and I can wrap it up simply.

(54:50):
I don't think it's going to hurt you in any
way if you're a high pressure situation at your job
and your relationship in sports. Like we said, I think
it can help. I don't think it's gonna hurt. Is
it needed by everybody? I don't know what Mike is
saying that, Hey, you know, everyone should be doing some
form of meditation or therapy. What if what if I

(55:10):
went to therapists and like that, yeah, Covino is not
good for you. And also all a sudden, I was like, yeah,
after twenty five making you.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Guys are making up these scenarios about these evil or
incompetent therapists. Like a psychiatrist I am talking about good
for Like what it is a qualified professional? What if
everybody can keep like it's just a way to keep
your head straight?

Speaker 1 (55:33):
Like what you so against it that I'm almost like,
what is this guy hiding? Like what if the therapist
said something like, so you're happy in your marriage or
are you I'm like, yeah, I'm really happy. It's like
they start, are you sure you really happy? Like yeah,
I love my wife and everything's good. Like this is
what people who don't go to therapy think about therapist.
That's why everybody needs therapy because that's not what happens.

(55:54):
You know, that's not what happens in the therapist. Bring
these questions out as sorry, clan, like you know this
is ridiculous. Three weeks ago, do you guys know Jeff
Lewis from Bravo and all that. Jeff Lewis Live. He
does a show on Serious Exam. He's on like Radio
Andy Right, and he's one of Andy Cohen's like main guys.

(56:14):
He has a big time show on Serious Exam. And
I guessed it on his show and he's like sassy
gay guy and he's like, you know what you need?

Speaker 2 (56:20):
And I'm like what.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
He's like you, He's like, we should have you come
back in the show. You've never been to therapy. Oh
my god, they'd have a field day with you. I'm like,
what do you mean a field day? Like, not everyone
like you, Jeff, So you have to be a crazy
person to benefit from therapy. By the way, I'm also
a guy that's never benefited from therapy ever, and I'm

(56:42):
sure I could. I'm sure I could, but I've never
met that right person or anything. I don't like you
you've been to I've been a couple of couples, family
all that time, and you said you've never never met
nothing else ever said No, I've sat in therapy with
my daughter, like, never benefited from it. But I'm I'm
opening saying.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Rich treats therapy like the gym can't help me, Like
somebody's trying to convert him to homosexuality. Like that's what's
going on right now. He's afraid if he goes to therapy,
somebody's gonna try to convert him and make him evil
and unhappy.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
I gotta come al and what he's talking about to
leave my wife? All of a sudden, I'm gay and
I break up a.

Speaker 6 (57:20):
Springer all of a sudden, Your guys, you guys, whole
conversation made me flash back to this.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Listen, we have some newcomers here today with us. Say
hello to Scott and his father.

Speaker 9 (57:33):
Mister.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Doctor Evil telling you.

Speaker 3 (57:45):
Hello, Scott, Hello, everybody, So Scott.

Speaker 9 (57:49):
Why do we start with you?

Speaker 3 (57:50):
What brings you here with us today? Well, I just
really met my dad for the first time five days ago.

Speaker 5 (57:55):
I was partially frozen his whole life.

Speaker 3 (57:59):
That is beautiful that you can admit to that.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Itader was Carrie Fisher.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
By the way, I forgot about it.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
I want to joke and say, Rich just thinks he's
so great that he doesn't need it, right, That's all.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
I think.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
What you're saying is like, if things don't feel broke,
why I try to fix them? Like Rich is in
a pretty happy uh space, and things are going great
for him right now, and you know that's not the
case for most people. Listen, I just tell you I
do all the things everyone else does. I worry about
my parents' health. I worry about my kids safety, I
go to work. I worry about oh money and supporting
my family. I think about all the things every normal

(58:38):
person thinks about. I don't think I need to sit
down with someone and be like, here's what I'm worried about.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
I feel like all you've done is proved my point. Rich,
Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
All right, Hey, you know what I get Another banger
from another banger let's do something we do every week, Sammy,
I know we're r on a late table. Let's do
this Midweek.

Speaker 9 (59:05):
Major Covino and rich get you over the middle of
the week. When mid Week Major Major, Oh, I love
that we throw sports and pop culture headlines and topics
at the fellas and it's like the kids.

Speaker 5 (59:20):
Say, that's some week.

Speaker 9 (59:22):
Definitely see in our score Midweek Major.

Speaker 6 (59:28):
Yeah, I'm gonna go really quick here because we have
like five and a half minutes for Iowa San, I
better be more than that.

Speaker 5 (59:32):
Did you guys roll the red dice?

Speaker 2 (59:35):
I won. It's two weeks in.

Speaker 12 (59:37):
A row for rich ladies and gentlemen from Iowa City, Iowa, Iowa.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
So what do you go see? A therapist? A been?
All right?

Speaker 7 (59:43):
Let's start with some some World Cup USA reflection here.
Flow Balligan of the US men's national team, joined CBS
Mornings on Tuesday to discuss how the red card suspension
may have affected the team leading up to the Belgium match.
Here's a little bit of what Flow had to say.

Speaker 13 (59:58):
When I kind of had to reflect, I knew it
was gonna cause a lot of controversy, and I could
almost see within my teammates a bit of nerves because it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Was something that's so unique.

Speaker 13 (01:00:10):
But the closer we got to the game, I tried
to just focus as best as I could, but it
was difficult. You know, a lot of outside noise, and
that's that's hard to avoid.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
He added.

Speaker 7 (01:00:19):
The team game gave him a lot of reassurance and
he felt they had full concentration going into the game.
Falligan focused and confident. Rest of team undetermined. Midweek or major.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
Hello flow, This is mid whether Trump was involved or not.
The red car got lifted. If anything, it should have
been motivating. Anyone letting distractions your World Cup representing the
United States.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Don't think you can't let it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Stuff like this distract you. I think this is like,
what does it? We'll just say it could be no excuses, excuses, yeah, excuse.
I think if anything, they had got one of their
best players back. I'm going mid that's so mad, belligan,
you know, I agree with Rich excuses, crying over spilled milk,

(01:01:04):
that sort of thing. It's like, we're already moving forward.
I'm already pasted it. I'm already excited for Argentina Spain.
So it's like, all right, whatever, I mean it doesn't matter.
I don't think USA was going much further anyway. It's
a bummer they lost four once. I don't know if
Belligan doesn't play and the attitudes different. Are they beating
that Belgium to no? And this is Belgium is the
only team that scored a goal against Spain this entire
World Cup. So it's like the Belgiums were. When we've

(01:01:26):
seen the soul Stars rise the way they have and
these great teams play the way they've played, we knew
we're mad, We're not there yet. It wouldn't have mattered,
so it was unfortunate, but it is sticking with the
World Cup.

Speaker 7 (01:01:38):
Actor Tom Holland was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy
Fallon earlier this week, and he revealed that in early June,
while attending the F one Monaco Grand Prix, he spotted
Norway's Earling Holland not far from him at the event
and decided to send him a DM to see if
he wanted to hang out.

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
The message went ignored. Apparently Erling doesn't watch many movies.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
He didn't know of Tom.

Speaker 7 (01:02:00):
I'm Holland, the celebrity Holland Humbling Holland midweek or major.

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
I think this is major, but in a funny way,
just showing that, like when you're a celebrity doesn't mean
you everyone's gonna love you or or or accept you.
I just saw recently Timothy Shallomey, you never know who
you're gonna get starstruck by. Did you see the story
where he saw all the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders and he
was like taking it back because I guess he, you know,
is a football fan and maybe knows them. They look

(01:02:24):
pretty starstruck too.

Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
Taken it back by the cheerleaders. Yeah, Timothy shalome Yes,
it was also dates Kylie Jenner.

Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
Yes, Sweetheart's a great shows smutts. I agree with you,
but that's why I was like, look at him, He's
all like, oh my god, he's I don't know what.
It's something near I actually agree with which again it
was it was mid but in a very very fun way.
But I also don't think it puts things in perspective
like these soccer stars are bigger or just as big
as these Hollywood movie stars, right, And a lot of

(01:02:51):
these movie stars are fans of these athletes. And I
don't know if you saw it, but Jimmy fallon what
he did like a rap song to separate the difference
between Holland and Holland. Oh I missed that part.

Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Oh it's great. Yeah, he did a whole rap about
did you see Holland was?

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Is? He is not accurate by saying this? Which Holland?
Are you talking about?

Speaker 5 (01:03:08):
Early? Okakay?

Speaker 1 (01:03:09):
He WASNMB first name basis number one on the list
of athletes under twenty five earnings under twenty five. I
think if he's not number one, he's number two. He's
he's up there.

Speaker 7 (01:03:17):
I don't know if Tom Holland has thirteen million Twitter
followers either Early Holland does.

Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
All right, let's move on here.

Speaker 7 (01:03:24):
Sean Sweeney was a guest on the Ryan Rosillo Show
show earlier this week and talked about his interview for
the Orlando Magic head coaching job, saying it lasted nine
and a half hours. Apparently his endurance impressed the Magic
brass because he is now their head coach.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
Make a day of it, why don't you?

Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
And his words, it was a thorough So it was
by far the most thorough of any of the ones
that I did.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
And in the words of Maud Lebowski, he's.

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
A good man.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
He's a good man.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
I'm thorough nine and a half hours midweek or major. Oh,
let's say it's major.

Speaker 13 (01:03:58):
Major.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
It's a long ass interview. I mean, dona there to
be exhausting? Is there a blunch break in protein bars?
I mean, listen, you want to make sure you get
the right guy to lead your team. Not a typical
job interview. I don't it's not a typical job interview.
But I don't know if you need nine hours to
assess someone. I feel like you go off vibes before
that thorough. But then again, one I know, I don't
see if they're I agree, majorly exhausting, Like it sounds exhausting,

(01:04:23):
you know. When I do some of the talking head
stuff for the History Channel, I get to the point
where I feel delirious, right, and I think, if they're
really trying to get the truth out of them, that's
the way to do it. It's like almost torture, Like
I lose my words, I start making no sense. After
a certain amount of time, I can't even speak. So
to be pushed nine hours of interrogation, Durrance, I guess

(01:04:43):
impressive sounds like yeah, I think they left no stone
unturned and yeah, good for that. I feel like this
is sort of a tactic they use when they talk
to players before like a draft too. Also right, like
you're really trying to get to know them on the
next level. Maybe not nine hours though marathon now is
a lot wear you down, poor guy. I mean, I
think he showed he wanted the job, all right. I
saved the best for last year. You guys touched on
this story.

Speaker 7 (01:05:02):
Last week, former Spurs broadcaster Jacob Toby was relieved of
his duties after he was outed by his girlfriend on
social media for cheating on her with the sister of
a current Spurs player. Former Spur Danny Green spoke of
the handling of the situation on his podcast No Fouls
Given with Paul Pierce and Big Woes. I think that's it.
Got my music here, there we go. Gotta get that

(01:05:23):
going Big Woes and Paul Pierce on the pod. Note
it's worth noting here that Green knows Jacob Toby personally.
He said this on his pod about the situation.

Speaker 8 (01:05:34):
I love everything the Spurs doing, how they operate as
an organization. They run a tight ship, they don't deal
with no ps, and they don't like drama, so I
understand certain issues. They're going to be like, you know,
we can't allow this to me. This was not one
of those issues. People make mistakes, but again, this was
something that was not breaking the law. He didn't beat

(01:05:54):
anybody up. He wasn't loitering or dy or you know,
anything crazy. You know the relationship this is behind closed doors.
His personal life.

Speaker 7 (01:06:02):
Toby with at least one public ally pretty convincing by
a green there Midweek or major.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
I think it's major. You got more than one public
I said it a week ago. I said it's bs.
He did nothing wrong. When you ever girl cheating on
a girlfriend's not there's nothing wrong with you a girlfriend
yet Morley, you might be like, maybe it could be
hr worthy.

Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
It's a he's a broadcaster, it's a player's sister. There's
nothing worth it. In fact, Colin Cowhard on that matter,
I said that he's talking with Danny G's sister. I
don't think that's good for camaraderie. It's a little weird,
but I think but has a lot of good points.
You work with Danny G every day, that'll be like
you sleeping with like one of the editor sisters still
if everybody's cool with it, I lost if she had,

(01:06:41):
but no, no way she listened to in fact tweeting
it out on the FSR account right now, there's nothing
wrong with cheating on a girlfriend, has.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
No crime in that.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
That's why you get married. That's the difference. Maybe they're
setting the president. Either way, I do feel it's a
major story. But I think Jacob Toby comes out on top,
and that's not no sexual innuendo or anything like that.
Or he's twenty nine years old, like right, I'm pretty
sure he's twenty nine to be the voice of the Spurs.
I think he has a bright future somewhere else as
long as he keeps it in his pants or keep dying.

(01:07:08):
Let's go to Manzie.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
I was saying, bullet Sam, a lot of a lot
of things you've said today, Rich, A lot of things,
a lot of cheating on a girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
It's not a crime, it's not good morals. It's not
like a good look, but cheating on a white crime.
But like, but you can good look? Why do the
Spurs want to be associated with a bad look?

Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
I can't trust you to make a smart decision.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
But cheating on a girlfriend is something we've all done, right,
but I can't shut wife is not good.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
Nobody becomes a public story, ok right.

Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
I can't trust you to make a good decision based
on my company.

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
Like Green said, the spurs are just not about the drama,
like they're like, we don't want to deal with this. Yeah,
she see the hell out of it? Can I say
something Rich real quick?

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
Please do so?

Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
I already said, we do a Patreon show Monday through Thursday.
Is sort of us uncensored, unleashed. Yeah, more personal stories. Yeah,
it's all personal stuff Monday through Thursdays Patreon dot Covino
and Rich. So if you need more CNR, now's the time.
We just upgraded our studio, which you'll see on over
Promise tomorrow. But we had Henry Winkler on the show

(01:08:09):
today the Fonds, and you're gonna hear some of that
interview on over Promise because we asked them some sports questions.
You'll hear that on our bonus pod right here on
the YouTube page at Covino and Rich FSR. But I
urge you to check out our other podcast because we
asked him his role in making the Rocky movie happen.

(01:08:30):
He played a role in getting the script. People don't
know the story sort of situated for Sylvester Stallone. Stallone
had given up the script. If it was not for
Henry Winkler, he wouldn't have got it back. Henry Winkler
used his power as the funds, and he tells the
whole story. I bring that up because today the trailer
dropped for a movie called I Play Rocky, and it

(01:08:51):
wouldn't happen with Henry Winkler, but you got to see
this trailer. Actor Anthony Apalito looks like he's doing a
stellar job of being like, absolutely, I Play Rocky. Absolutely,
you gotta see it. It is getting me so excited
when he talks sports movies. I know it's a love story,
but it's one of my favorites, and this is the making,

(01:09:13):
like how he got to the point of making making
the movie and the trailers out today. Definitely got to
check this trailer out. Can I tell you I Play Rocky?

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
Look it up? Such a cool trailer. I'm excited to
watch it now.

Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
I didn't want to point out, wait.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Did you see the trailer yet?

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
Yeah, I'm not the whole thing. I just saw the
part you see it. Yeah, Rich and I have had
a like action packed day so far, so you gotta
check it today. It came out today. You know what
I watch last night with the kids. I want to
recommend this, not like something new now, like Toy Story five,
which was fantastic. I've been going through all the classics
sports movies with my kids to see which ones would
stand the test of time. They loved Rookie of the Year,

(01:09:51):
they loved Little Giants, They've loved the Mighty Ducks movies.
Last night we watched Angels in the Outfield and it's
so good, dude, I know, we all know. It's a
young McConaughey and Adrian and Brody and Tony Dance and
Danny Glover and I mean, you know, Joseph Gordon Levitt
is the little kid Roger and that oh, the cute
little black kid that that that Danny Glover adopts at

(01:10:15):
the end, like everything about that movie. And the woman
that runs to Foster. Yeah, sorry, spoiler the spoiler that
my kids uh noticed. They're like, wait, that lady Pigeon Woman.
It's the Pigeonwoman from Home Alone. She's the woman that
runs the Foster House, and my kids notice that she
looks familiar. I'm like, yeah, can you watch somebody's ont so?

(01:10:37):
Just another one again, Little Giants, all the Mighty Ducks,
Rookie of the Year. These are these are the movies
you gotta show your kids. We have not done sand
Lot yet.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
I've been waiting.

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
That's next, Bud. All right, we'll see guys tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
Ven there she may see you.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
