has been making the rounds. I saw people from other

(00:27):
shows on this network. Dude, it's everywhere get.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
All upset about it, commenting on it.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
And when I see too, though, I see like even
people we work with, Yeah, they post a clip and
they're like, what do you think?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It's like, I want to know what you think you
do that.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I hate when people do that. There's been a few
that have just said outright, it's wrong. This kid should
be suspended.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I think that's how it's supposed to be.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
The ideology of what you're saying, though, is you're trying to, yeah,
engage someone, saying to post a video or picture or whatever,
and you on someone's opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
How about your opinion, and then we'll give you ours, Like, hey,
here's what I think, and I think you're gonna be
surprised by what I think about this viral video.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Dude, Well, the viral video we speak of, isn't the
woman with the stripper pol knocking her sprinkler system off?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Have you seen that one, Isaac Er?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
No, I was a camera person.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Is it the old man in the buffalo? Not the
old man getting thrown in the air by a bison? No,
not that one. It wasn't u. Is it the piece
of medior that fell through the New Jersey roof?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
No, it wasn't the stinkhole or sinkhole in Jersey. It
wasn't the girl who had Do you see the girl
with the cockroach.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
On her neck? Yeah? KTLA? Did you say stinkhole? I
said sinkhole?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Oh okay, did you see that woman KTLA reporter had
a huge cockroach?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
She didn't know. If she knew it was a cockroach,
she would have. Is it the viral clip of Chuck
Schumer farting? No, it was not.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
It was the viral clip of this little league or
pony ball kid who celebrates at a level that people
upset like. I'm all for celebration, I'm for a bat flip,
I'm for cheering, I'm for chest bumps. I'm for high fives.
I'm I'm for taking a nice little trot around the bases.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
If you hit one.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
You even like a little helmet smash every once in
a while, a little triple thrust. Say what yeah, yeah,
that's how before the show me, Danny and Cavino give
a little uh like outfielders meeting together for a little
I'll say this.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
There's there's this kid. His name is Cruise because that's
what his jersey says.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I believe you're gonna have to describe it for those
that aren't on our YouTube page.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's a little chubby Hispanic kid. Like we're talking by
the looks.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Of it, you say, and you can say that because
you're a middle aged, chubby Hispanic guy. Yeah, I want
to say, what's what's wrong with? What's wrong that? He
just describe it?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
He looks about eleven at the most, right, So you
don't want to make fun of a kid. But he listen'
he hits his ball. No, I'm just describing. It's not
a bat flip. It's a bat fling to the point
where if you umpiring, you could be like, you can't
throw your bat like that. That's you know, sometimes after
a warning the battery will be called out, like you
can't throw bat. It's happened in Little league and pony ball.
I've seen it. This guy throws the bat and then

(03:12):
flexes like he's a Hulkster in nineteen ninety, throws his
helmet down, throws his helmet like he's Bryce Harper after
a strikeout. He's officially pimping himself. Yeah, he's doing every
gance chism, screaming. He's also yelling. He incorporates everybody celebrates
all and then second and third he stops to shoot
a three pointer. He does the worm I think at
one point, and then again he pretty much moon walks home.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
It's his teammate presents him the bat at home plate,
that high five, and everyone down the third base it
is if you're watching our YouTube channel, Covino and Rich FSR.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
And by the way, I'm assuming he's Suspenic because his
jersey says cruise. So it becomes a big time controversy
for over celebrating and like, what are we teaching these
kids today? And dude, I gotta tell you what my
brother said. I sent it to my brother. My brother's

(04:07):
a big baseball fan. Tod Master Tommy Tomasito. Oh, it's
so funny because Yo, that's weak as f He goes
jazz chis and ruin in the game. Mind you, my
brother's a big Yankees fan, right, he goes teaching these
kids all this ps. It's a gentleman's game, the gentleman's game.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Your brothers the least gentleman guy.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I know he's the biggest, like moron. He goes, Yo,
leave that in the NFL. He's like, this is this
is baseball. I think that's not how it's played. I
love watching a home run. I love a bat flip.
I recently saw that clip of Oh remind me of
the players involved. It was someone hit a home run
in San Francisco. I'm gonna put together the pieces and

(04:52):
get splashed.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
In the water. And the picture got all mad? Was it?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Madison Bumgardner got all mad? Max Max Month's shirts of that. Yeoh,
Max Munsey hits a bomb into the water. I should
go get it out of the ocean, and he goes
to Bumgunter, Yeah, go get the ball out of the water,
because he's like, stop looking rung. He tells Munsie, like,
stop watching your home run, just go And then Munsey

(05:16):
tells him, when are you go get the ball out
of the water.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I love a good bat flip.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I love when a player hits it, and I think
he's a you know what, Danny call me two new school.
I think you're allowed to stand there for a good
one or two seconds.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I think you could swing. I'd be like one.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
I think the issue here, at least for me, he's
not smiling, Like, if you're doing it out of joy,
then it's like a fun thing.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
When you're aggressively hump.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yeah, when you're doing it very aggressively, like f you, everyone,
f you, that's where it gets a little out of control.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
My brother then says, that's when a kid gets a
fastball to the head.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Next to that bat, Bro, this is just trouble. Well
not good yet.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I think baseball historically has been good at policing themselves right.
Anytime someone gets a little too shit body, well, yeah,
I mean something comes with that. I know at that
level because there's so little. But I saw John Boy
recently break down a clip between former met Now athletic
Jeff McNeil and Reyess Hoskins and how he was doing

(06:17):
the whack cry baby McNeil's yelling at him, like, yo,
there's things that you know, a herd slide or an
inside fastball will solve right like baseball places itself. But
I don't think a kid that hasn't gone through puberty
yet should be doing that on the base pass. I
think at that age you want kids to have fun.
You know, when they have walk up music and they're
flipping the bat or having you know, joyous baseball times.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
That's what you want kids to do. You want to
love the game.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
But this is apage that could have took the first
basement's head off.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, that was dangerous.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Can I say this, and I'm not saying this to
be contrariant, I swear to God, I agree with you guys.
It's overboard, there's no question. I'm not debating that. But
the amount of viralim that this kid has garnered I
don't feel as warranted. I'm like, really, this is what

(07:07):
everybody's so mad about. Like, it's bad and it's over
the aggressive. It's obnoxious. That would be the greatest word
to describe his celebration here. Right, it's obnoxious and a
little uncalled for. But is it that bad? Where like
it seems like the world's coming down on an eleven
year old boy.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
I get it. You know what.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Blame the adults, Blame the fact that we've allowed this
to be seen in Major League Baseball, Blame the examples
that they're learning it from. And then it comes down
to a question of parenting, and people are hating on
his kid.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I'm like, is it that bad?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I think at this point the way it's being criticized
at this point, I'm like, you just don't like this
kid's face. You don't like his look, Like there's more
to it, like he's not cute enough for you or something.
I don't know what it was, dude, but to garner.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
This much criticism.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
We see these like random celebrations all the time with kids.
Is this one any this is I don't think by far,
I've seen all Rich. It's my algorithm. I see all
this crap because again's just your algorithm. We all watch sports,
and we all watched you know, kids hit home runs.
But I've been listening to our show this week. Rich
says it's worse than cheating on a girlfriend. It is true, really, man,

(08:14):
And I said, that's not a crime. That's not a crime. Danny,
I'll say this, kids in all sports imitate their favorite stars.
You watch a kid's playing flag football at seven, eight, nine, ten.
If you got little ones, when they're scoring a touchdown,
they're casually dropping the ball, pounding their chest, flexing, doing
stuff they see in the NFL. Right, they get a

(08:35):
first down, they drop the ball and do it all
first down. If a kid plays basketball, right, what does
he do when he hits a three? He keeps it
up there right, or he does a little Jalen Brunson
or a little little Steph Curry. Kids will always imitate
their favorite stars. And baseball is all about the bat flip.
Baseball is all about showmanship. Now, I'm okay with to

(08:56):
but this kid went too far. That's why you know
you always say this. What happens at every party, every event?
Why why are stupid rules put into place? Because what
happens Everyone has one person that does what.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
They go too far? Everything right, like the neighbor ruin
it for everybody.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
One person drinks too much. One person does something where
they're like, all right, well we need to make a rule.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Now. There's always something. One parent says something too much.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Sam at our twenty year anniversary, Like Sam partied so
hard he started taking his clothes off.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Now we have to have a rule like keep your
clothes on it. I danced too hard, he overheated. I'll
be honest. I saw a sign recently.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I was at a gym in Texas when I went
to go visit my wife's family around the fourth of July.
I went to the I went to the gym on vacation.
That's a cup safe for another day. If this was
big al Delia, the kid that hated hit Dingers but
back in the day, if he did it.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yes, I don't know that. I feel like I.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Saw a sign at the gym in Texas and it
was like on it it was like a little our
tun characters like this is what you have to wear,
And it was clear that there must have been some
girl that showed up, yes with like a thong and
a sports problem. So they had to put up a
sign like hey at the gym here. We try to
keep some family standards. The proper attire. If you're gonna
wear like yoga shorts or something, ladies, they should be

(10:18):
blank and the you know, a sports bra has to
do a certain amount of coverage. You know, why they
had to put that sign up because what do you
think one person did? Probably showed up with their cheeks out. Okay,
so you're saying, now Little League or pony Ball, whatever
this is, has to put some rules in place because
of it. What do you think at our what do
you think at our company holiday party? They give like
one to two drink tickets because I guarantee at one

(10:39):
point someone had one too many cocktails and they're like,
you know what, we should probably limit it. Gave everyone
like one to two tickets tops. Someone always ruins it.
And I'm not blaming a kid, but this will now
I guarantee this, this clip is where everyone's gonna be like,
all right, we've had enough. Come back on the celinday,
what about that bat throw Coven because that's impressive.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
There's more aggressive not defending it. But let me throw
some exam. You did that when you were in little
thrown out was a gentleman.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
This kid should have been thrown out of the game.
I would look, I didn't play that way. We didn't
play that way. It wasn't that way then, right, And
I think there's a balance and a compromise. Like Ridge said,
I agree, but I don't think it's that bad where
all this criticism is warranted, Like it's the most viral clip,
we're leading our show with it, it's all over social media.
But what if I'm just saying, what if this is hypothetical?

(11:28):
Keep back to like if it was a cute kid,
it would be different. No, no, I'm giving you a real
hypothetical now. So before I explained, I'm not being a contrarian.
I just didn't think it was as bad as people
are making it out to be. But I agree it's bad.
This is just a pure hypothetical. And maybe because every
time clips go viral, there's always something that comes up
or follows it and it's like, oh, well, you know,

(11:49):
we didn't know the whole story or we didn't see
the full clip. How do we know that there was
a kid on the mound that was taunting him and
maybe he was the big kid that seemed unhittable and
this kid got a lucky shot home run once in
a lifetime moment. Does that change your perspective of oh man,
maybe this kid's uh, you know, he's not a real
great achiever and this was his one highlight of his

(12:10):
life and he really got the best of that picture.
Who gives him a hard time? What if you don't
know the backstory, that doesn't change anything. This is this
is like, this is the level that doesn't change anything.
If I'm just saying the picture, you're saying it is
a big kid that bullied him and his kid home school.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Yeah, what, that's impossible.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
So so you don't always know everything. So hey, for
all we know this kid, this is his most joyous
moment he's ever had. Maybe he comes from a tough upbringing,
so you cat to be mad at eleven year old
that behavior is acceptable if that kid bought him at school.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Yeah, I'm just giving you possibility.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Looks like it looked like the bat went past first
base and that kid doesn't look like that part is
crazy because it's one thing at an aggressive bat flip,
even slamming. You saw the video a couple of months
ago where that kid slammed the bat down so hard
at bounced back up to his face. Yeah, okay, I
get some aggressiveness with the celebration of a bat flip,
but when you throw the bat like that he threw

(13:07):
it unacceptable.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Hey, we're not going let's make this clear. None of
us here in the Fox Sports Radio studio. Whatever teach
our kids to behave this way this sportsman, there's a class.
I'm saying, we don't know the whole story. And he's
still an eleven year old. If you want to point
the fingers, point him at the professionals where he gets
us from. Point him at the parents who allows him
to be the parents about the coaches. Point parents have

(13:32):
no people to be bullying an eleven year old. The
way they are on social media, I think is absurd
because they're learning it from adults. Monkey see, monkey do,
Like we as adults have to take accountability. You're like,
I'm frustrated with my daughter ninety percent of the time,
but I have to look at myself and take some
accountability and like, well, she gets it from somewhere and
it's probably me or her mom. I'll blame her mom

(13:53):
most of the time. But you know what I mean, Like,
it's not fair always to blame these kids.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
This kid's little.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
It's it's coaching, right, I mean, like, if you're coaching
a bunch of little kids. The first side, like when
my kids celebrate that I coach, I love it. I
encourage them. A kid hits a big hit or scores,
jump on him, hit him on the helmet, have some fun.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
But your first your first, uh priority should just be
getting to base, like unless I guess it's a home
run in.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
The home Really, if a kid hit a home run
on my line is very because he's shouting and looks aggressive.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
That's where the line is. If he was smiling and
cheering like Joe Carter, then cool. Then it wouldn't be
a viral video. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (14:31):
If when the first kid on my team hits a
home run, which will probably happen when they're seven or eight, Like,
there'll be a kid that puts one out. If some
kid finally hits one over the fence their first home
run and they flip their back, yeah, and they like
are super enthusiastic, enthusiastic, and their teammates are jumping on him,
patting them on the helmet, that's awesome.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
This was not even resembles a grotesque showing up.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Yeah, this was like people could see it. Now will
save you the time. Just join us on YouTube. You
can watch the show. You can see the clips Spotty's
Got It on Standby at YouTube YouTube dot com. Slash
at Covino and Rich fso, so if he's such a
youngster that I don't really blame him. I blame the
coaches for letting this build up because any sign and

(15:15):
you know, I'm not the only dad coach, and there's millions,
there's millions.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Of people, coach, Rich, how would you reprimand them?

Speaker 1 (15:20):
There's millions of people listening to Fox Sports Radio and
any Johnson? Can I address Jones one nine nine? Not
defending this kid. What I'm saying is you don't know
the whole story. You don't so we're coming down on
an eleven year old. Well, that's what I just said.
I don't think a kid is the one to be
taking the brunt of this. But it happened, meaning he

(15:41):
made it all the where on the basements without a
coach being like, hey, go like look, where's the where's
the discipline?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Where someone thought this is okay? Right?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Like when I see when I see any of the
kids I coach get aggressive or get mean or bullying
another kid or even on their own team, I'm like,
that's not acceptable.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
This right here, dude, how do we know that this
is even real? Real? How do we know that they
just didn't state like when are you allowed to go
out on the diamond and like film someone he's following
the whole time.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
They didn't say, hey, everybody, everybody know how about They
were like as a drill, everybody for fun do their
best flashy bat flip home run.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
But that's the problem because he's surrounded by adults and
they enabled this behavior, and it's it's grotesque, Danny, we
can't beat right, Sam.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Sam Cavino made the only exception if it was like
an after practice right, let's say it's after practice. Practice
is over. Hey, good practice, kids, go get some water. Hey,
you know, if you want to stay, let's do who
would do the most crazy like home run trot? And
we just happened to see footage of something like after
practice silly shenanigans.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah, then all of a sudden, we're all wrong. I'm sorry, Rich, Okay.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
But you decided to release it to the public, and
you you probably knew what was going to be the reaction.
But maybe they just told us all the blame patrolling
is not acceptable.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
We watched it, we reacted. Maybe we're also to blame,
but this is not if you whether this is stage,
are legit it's bad either way.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
And by the way, I went frame for frame in
the billboard beyond the fence, the outfield fence.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
It says it's it's in Spanish.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
So this looks like And I was talking to Greg Twoey,
Cowherd's producer earlier today because.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
I saw him and Jay stew Everyone's fired.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Yes, he said, it looks like it's from It looks
like it's from a different country.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
You know, when celebrations are different, it's culturally different. Hey, people,
and I just came back from Korea. It's a completely
different atmosphere, completely different set of rules, completely different way
of game, especially in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico
and places like that. And Damian Andrew, wait, there's a
guy flirting with me here. Rich I just want to

(17:53):
let him know I have a girlfriend, Damian, I'm taking
buddy Dan.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Saying some mean stuff. By the way, is that why
you got the Kim John Woon haircut you just came
back from? Yeah, okay, he wasn't in North Korea. It
was a two for one. You never would have come back.
We went together. This guy said about you, how about
you pull up your own feedback. You dweebis, how about
you interact and do your own thing? He sat out
of my face. He said, you get worse showed by show.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Meanwhile, he keeps listening, so thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
No what I'm doing a tough guy with a microphone.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
What I'm saying is, I don't think it's as bad
as that as people are making it out to be.
It's bad, but is it as bad as people are
making it out? He called you Mary Olmpez, I would
just making stuff. I would love to see.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Him and Measy two o six says spot please show
it again. I just joined from hearing you guys on
the radio.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
You would think you would think that this kid got
the home plate and stabbed somebody the way people are,
but it's.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
No different than a viral video of some kid having
a meltdown in public and no one does anything about it,
or like that kid, the video of a mom who's
like filming her daughter. She's like, no, no, you got
to put the eggs in first before this, and then
she tell are like, go for self, and you're like
and then the kids just get away with this.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
But you know what, so like, we're so hypocritical. This
is a little boy right, he has plenty of time
to learn. But everybody's okay with how young people are
talking on social media and on TV and on Love Island.
The things that people open up about are vile, vile,
the things that people say and put out there, and they.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I have hold on. Not to sound corny, but there's
a girl from Love Island.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
It's called she was on call her daddy and she
says the most vile things that you pray every night
for your daughter to never say publicly. But we're okay
with this, and we applaud it. We're like, oh, yeah,
you don't get them. Hold on, we can't say that. Yeah,
we're so every that's fine and we're cool with that.
And everyone's taking her clothes off for the internet. But
this kid's celebrating a home run is the worst thing

(19:54):
I've ever seen. Bonkers and hypocritical. Dude, two things could
be true. No, no, no, because no one's saying that's bad. Everyone's
saying that's okay. You think people are saying that's okay. Yeah,
everyone's liking it watching. I guess Sam I saw the clip.
Could he just speaks of there's a girl from Love Islands,
what's your name Kenzie.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Kenzie like the popular Love Island girl.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
She's like, I'm just a regular girl from Georgia, and
she thanked Alex Cooper, who hosts call her Daddy.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
She goes, because of you, I know how to.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Beep a guy and beep beep all the She's like,
because of you and start saying those vulgar things that she.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Learned with us.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
And I'm like, old qualms or any hesitation, what's you?

Speaker 2 (20:34):
And everyone's yeah, that's the best, Yeah, all this stuff.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
But this kid's celebrating home runs, the worst thing on
the internet.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Stay toxic, stay petty. No, don't be toxic, don't be petty?
Does it makes it's not the mathing math thing. Guys,
as they say, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
You're allowed to say young teens and twenties have lost
away and also say that this home runs a.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Bit much for an eleven year old, and that'd be
sound about it. At least eleven. He killed her.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Don't you supposed to set the tones to we as
people right need to stop rewarding awful behavior, period?

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Did you say we the people? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (21:08):
And that means like stop blowing smoke up? Hey, Thomas
Jefferson people's profiles and liking terrible things and stop feeding
into terrible algorithms, And yeah, we shouldn't be applauding this kid,
no question.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Just flash. There's a lot of bad people out but
there's a lot of terrible Why is this kid bankrupt people?
I get what you're you're Quino saying.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
In a world of smut and people making terrible decisions
on the deli, we focus on this one kid.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Pimp and a home run.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Yeah, you would think that he committed a murder in
the dugout right after.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
But in the in the world.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
You know what it is though, I think people look
at this poor kid and say, this is a reflection
of where kids are going with sports, because there's already
the sentiment that kids are like, kids are playing too
much sports. They don't stop travel ball, this ball, club ball,
and on top of that, they need every piece of equipment,
every bat, every sliding glove, and they're and they're behaving
like this.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
I know.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
It just sort of goes out with the whole narrative.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
You're the coach of your son's team, if his son coach,
what do you think about like the bullpen coach, If
you're snag and show voted a little too much. He
would never do this, But if he showed it a
little too much, what would you tell.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Him a bit? Buddy, we don't.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
That's not you know, That's not how we play the game.
That's how we play the game. Man, you gotta be
a little general. I always tell the boys class, I
always tell the boys respect.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
You want to be a little gentleman. Sportsmanship, Yeah, those
things never go out of style.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Little gentlemen. I like them cheering, and I like, you
know what, guys they're also looking from. I think the
NYG made a solid, solid point that only backs up
what I'm saying here. And I'm not taking his kid's side,
But did we not just watch the World Baseball Classic?
And doesn't it seem like all the Latin nations celebrate
a little different than the American names. You're looking through
American eyes, and that's not where they're playing, and that's

(22:47):
not how the culture is.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
So you're you're.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Projecting your American are American culture on this little Hispanic
kid who doesn't even play in this country.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Apparently our American culture is ranch dressing. I learned that
over the lesson. No, but I mean wasn't there a
dark difference of how people celebrate? Of course, the World
Baseball Classic was so much more fun. Let me ask
Big Poppy how he feels about that.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Listen, you know why are we asking uh Johnny Americana?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Ask ask Many Ramirez how he feels it's Friday? Relax, dude,
Like I said, it's not adding up.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
We're all we're all piling on an eleven year old
Isaac Tell him to relax?

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Do I have to? He's got that, he's got that
captivating haircut.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
I mean it's called the the O. But I agree
with you that why are we being so hard on
this kid? Forget about the kid. I think what everyone's
saying is really coaches, you're allowing this. You know, it's
even more disgusting if you're in the algorithm, dude, Now
you're going to tell people in other countries how they
should play the game like you. If that's what I'm saying,
different if you, if you have a similar algorithm to me,

(23:50):
it's a lot of butt cheeks and a lot of sports.
And among those sports clips, I see a heck of
a lot of coaching flaws where you see like coaches
getting thrown up by umpires, coaches fighting other coaches. It's
a really like eye rolly, competitive, gross world and kids
sports out there. You see the worst in people sometimes.

(24:12):
And I think we could assess this by saying that
kid's so young. The fact that coaches and parents allowed it,
that's the problem, I think, Danny g we really need
to get to the bottom of where this takes past.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Right, it looks like.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Could be Mexico, all right, And guess what other countries
party differently, They celebrate differently, they cheer victories differently. We
see it, so why are we surprised if this is
another country that's what they accept this different So now
we're just expecting him to behave like a little kyler
does on your little league team.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
I'm all about accepting cultural differences, but this is gross
and I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
It should not be taught this way.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
And I'm like, little kids should be able to be
joyful and cheerful and you know, but they need to
be kept in boundaries because they don't know where the
boundaries are until they get older.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
But the countries, this is a way of life. But
you think in any society, in any culture of what
that kid did was should be like, no, I'm a
nice American boy, Rich, I don't agree with that, but
guess what, Like, we don't know his circumstance. They play
that they play to live and survive in other places.
When they're playing in the DR, they're playing it to

(25:22):
make it to the bigs and get out of the
Dominican Republic, playing to live or die in the D.
Are you think that celebration has anything to do with that? Yeah,
because that's what all the adults are doing. Look at
that's how they play the game. We have gone way
too long. Hey man, it's a controversial clip, I believe
it or not. Despite what you're believing, you're thinking. I
agree with Rich, it's overboard, but I'm saying we don't

(25:44):
know the whole circumstance. And he's a kid, all right,
So was it obnoxious? Yes, and that's why it's viral.
Covino and Rich got more coming up.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
We're going to talk about.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Lebron James, the pressure that someone's putting on Lebron, plus
someone will high position.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
That's all coming up right here.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
If you want to get ready and know what to
expect this weekend, catch Over promised our bonus podcast Over
promised he was our guest yesterday right here on this
YouTube page where we're streaming right now at Covino and
rich FSR.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
I'll fire it up to yesterday. You were all laughing
at the tyson. You know, Tani was over wude.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Just because I'm giving you I don't know thoughts to
ponder doesn't mean I'm sad about anything. People are jumping
to conclusions here, and this viral clip is really dividing that.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah, yeah, I have an update for you. I feel
like Pablo Tori investigating. So the first search of that
billboard company comes up for Mexico, but as I dug
deeper and entered a phone number in some search sites,
Santo Domingo comes up. So at least that company advertising
electronics equipment is Dominican Republic.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
So that's where this looks like.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
It's from where the little kid hit the home run
and he's obnoxiously celebrating.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
You all agree on that it took place in the
Dominican Republic.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
So why are we projecting our American values, in our
American way of the game on a bunch of little
Dominican kids that grow up playing and watching a completely
different game That's all I'm saying, Like, why do we
expect little Cruise here to be celebrating the way little uh,
little Tyler does in the US?

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Two completely different cultures.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Little puppy, Yeah, why do we expect little poppy, baby poppy,
little puppet to be celebrating like the little boy Riches?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Did David Calabas, did David Ortiz do this stuff? Though?
In the majors?

Speaker 1 (27:36):
I don't know, but guess what, they all do it
and we see it, and we see the different styles
of play when other cultures and countries are involved. So
why are we, you know, coming down on a little boy?
Do I agree with it?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (27:48):
But I'm looking through my American eyes and how I'd
raise my kid. It's not my kid and he's not
playing in this country. Congratulations, you were able to somehow
find an angle where this is acceptable. We mean an angle.
You're just jumping at a little kid. I'm not jumping
as it's not an angle. I'm just saying, does this
warrant like the kid committed a crime?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
You're more mad.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
You're more mad about this kid than the actual broadcaster
who was cheating on his girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
And San Antolio. He didn't commit a crime.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Okay, believe it of this kid, But I'm not saying
it's a game of baseball, does that?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
I just think it's unacceptable. You get a five steams
coming at yours, you're mean, like ridiculous. I'm not mad,
like even a little bit. I'm almost saying, like, why
is everybody ganging up on one little kid all over
the internet?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Who cares?

Speaker 5 (28:32):
People do so much more vile, terrible stuff all over
We never would have known about this if the person
didn't film it. So the person filmed it. Does anyone
agree with this kid? Absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
I would never do that. Guess what. I hit twenty
seven little league home runs never celebrated like that, So
I'm not defending it.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
And if you, guys, if I just slam dunked on
all your stupid points, don't get mad at me. Oh
and that goes to all the feedback that's coming into
of those little home runs have anything where like errors
are inside the parks, all over the fence, not one
because inside the park little league home runs don't count.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
If if he just keeps rolling and there was always
a fence, what kind of weak ass little league did
you play?

Speaker 1 (29:11):
In it?

Speaker 2 (29:11):
We have to believe Steve. There's no video of this,
there's what do you mean you think like the ball
just kept rolling that? No, No, we believe you. We
certainly believe he doesn't count. There's a newspaper clipping. I
saw it. He's online.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Yeah, Steve coming one of them over the fence.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Catch a program?

Speaker 1 (29:31):
All right, So it looks like it's not even in
America yet. You guys think you know everything. Get out
of my face.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Haters. You're just mad you didn't hit any Litle League
home runs?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
You know what, that's my stance. Here's my hot take
of the day. Ready, anyone mad about this little kid
celebrating his home run. You don't know his circumstance. That
might have been his first hit of the year. Maybe ever. Okay,
for all we know, he has a tough life and
that meant the world to him. Anyone mad about that?
So that little league and never hit a home run?

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Take that. Put that in your pipe and smoking. That's
the exclamation point you needed it is. Put that in
your pipe and smoking.

Speaker 6 (30:09):
We're back.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
You know that means that means you're just yells because
you never hit a Little League home Here that Isaac
let's do an update.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
The kron You ever hit a home run a little league?

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Well, A Fox Sports Radio investigation has been launched and
I actually did, yet never on a field with a fence.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
We do have.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Breaking Steve Cavino news. We have found a picture of
him with an eastern aluminum bat hopped over his right
shoulder with the magenta colored hat that says Union. We
also have another picture of him warning number twenty two
during his high school playing days. Yeah, oh yeah, must

(30:52):
have been cold out anyway. We also have a picture
of him in his high school football uniform number eighty five,
and I hope this is not with the shoulder pads.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
On calls himself the original ocho sinko is true. Yeah, true,
I mean myself that before Shad John's.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Technically is correct on that.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
All hell is breaking loose right now in the world
of sports, because in round two of the Open Championship,
Lucas Herbert, at eight under par overall, had a one
shot lead over Bryson Deshamba, who shot a four hunder
sixty six today but a short time ago. Well over
an hour after concluding his round, Deshambo was assessed a
two stroke penalty for stomping on some tall grass in

(31:34):
the rough before a shot on the fifth hole, which
officially meant that he quote improved the area of his
intended backswing unquote, which is ironically also the goal of
a Brazilian butt left anyway. Deshambo therefore is now three
shots back instead of one shot back. The NFL has
suspended Arizona Cardinals Director of college scouting Ryan Gold indefinitely

(31:59):
for violating the league's gambling policy. An NFL investigation determined
that Gold provided confidential information about the cardinals twenty twenty
six draft selections before they were publicly announced, and also
participated in parlay bets on NFL and college games. The
NFL said in a statement quotes.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
I'm shocked, shopped to find that gambling is going on
in here winning, so thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Actually, the real statement said, quote, there is no reason
to believe the integrity of any NFL game was affected unquote.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
Hey, it's Ben, host of the Fifth Hour with Ben Maller.
With mean a lot to have you join us on

Speaker 2 (32:47):

Speaker 7 (32:48):
We chat with captains of industry in media, sports and
more every week explore some.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Amazing facts about human nature and more.

Speaker 7 (32:55):
Listen to the Fifth Hour with Ben Mather or the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you get your pote cast.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
To wrap up our last story.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
You know, I agree with you, it's obnoxious to little
kids home run celebration that's gone viral that we've been
talking about. But you know, I truly believe in how
baseball polices itself right. And yeah, he'll get his f
around and find out FAFO the old fo FO. The
old fo FO balances everything out.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
So I'm not worried about it.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
Man. Well, hey, we are doing it live from the
Fox Sports Radio studio and oh my god, am I
seeing things. The Tirac play the day the Mets actually
did something good. Three one is launched to left, marshco
and back. It's over his head. He turns it, it's gone.
It stuck over the railing and left into the flower bed.

(33:52):
Francisco Alvarez with his second home run.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Of the game. What did he'd do?

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Uh for forty years tire racks, helping customers frind the
right towers or how what and where they drive? That's
curt of see. By the way, have Mets Radio Network
our tiract play of the day. And as we get
closer to the trade deadline, you would think the Mets
would be sellers. But from one I'm ounderstanding Danny Jiguz.
You know, like maybe Lindor would be on the move.
Their Sam Lindor is very much involved in every decision

(34:18):
the Mets make, like he's not going anywhere, and either
a Soto and probably their relationship isn't really bad. Well
it got better, it got better, but the team still
isn't good. So it's like, I don't know where you
where do you go from here? Like, if you're the
Mets and you're the most under delivering, high payroll, disappointing team,
do you just sort of run back half of that

(34:38):
team next year and change some things.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
And hope you get a different result? Because what do
you do? They would pay you millions of dollars to
figure out the answer to this question. Yeah, exactly that though.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
That would be because Steve Cohen said he's sticking with
the general manager, David Stearns.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
They fired the manager.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
They're going to try to get like an Alex Korras
or someone of that magnitude next season.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
So what do you do?

Speaker 1 (35:00):
You think you just get a new manager, try to
get some starting pitching and hope that hope that Lindor
Bashett Soto and everyone just clicks next year.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
I know an eleven year old kid named Crusito that might.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Change that.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
They need to fire up your locker room, get some
get some energy going.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
But you know what I'm saying, When your team is
a high payroll level team and they just didn't deliver it,
do you do you make some adjustments? Obviously pitching is
a big part of that, but like you just make
some adjustments and hope that things change or is that
just fools fools thinking.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
I think you nailed it.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
I think they're gonna go go get like an Alpod
for us, and they're gonna get rid of a bunch
of people that.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
They can hopefully capitalize off of them. Yeah, you know,
well we'll see what happens. Baseball.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
We are what less than one hundred games left, easily
lessan one hundred games left and uh, your Yanks are
looking all right, Yanks the best in baseball. Well, listen,
we got more Covine on Rich. We'll talk some Lebron,
will play some Brainwave all coming up next hour Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Hang tight.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Do you love the transparency of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver,
who's saying, we got to make the schedule and we
can't do anything until Lebron James makes a decision, Because
that's the latest, right, Like we saw the car Steve
curz in and shouts to a fan we got him,
and people are like, oh my god, dude, they got Lebron.
Or was that just a goof somethink he's going back

(36:28):
to Cleveland, Isaac Loncron said. The other day, Bryce Harper
at the All Star Game insinuated, Yeah, I don't think
he's coming to the Sixers, And that's you know, that's
just the biggest star across you know, across the street
at the baseball stadium.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
But you're also set on a microphone to trust the
process in Sixer fans were like.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
God, that means he's coming to Philly.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
So I mean, again, we don't know, but Adam Silver
doesn't know either, because again, do you like the idea
of him being honest?

Speaker 2 (36:57):
And we see him driving with a nuggets in the car?
Isn't that a sign?

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Oh my god, he was having nuggets. Yeah, I'm saying
I think he might go to Denver. I think I
don't even know. God, he had a six piece in
his uh.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
His console? Man, tell me, is it irresponsible if Adam
Silver didn't do that? Is the question?

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Meaning you can't like some people are saying he's wenting
on Lebron to meet the schedule. But I'm on the
side of well, I sort of enjoy the transparency of
Adam Silver saying, listen, man, you know where Lebron shows
up and ends up, that's gonna be probably a Christmas
Day game, that'll be a primetime game, maybe your first
game of the season or some You're gonna get mad

(37:40):
at Adam Silver for doing his job. Get a life, losers, Seriously.
I get it's because it's Lebron James and it's fun
to get annoyed with him and be mad at him
and we're waiting on his decision.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
I get it. That's loom. That's what it is. People
are mad at him for dragging this online.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
He's dragging it on right for Adam Silver to wait
and see it's not on him and that's just business?
Are we all forgetting at the beginning, middle, and end
of the day. The NBA is a business and it
would be counter productive for the guy to not wait,
Like do you want the guy to not wait in
the NBA? Not to make the money in the ratings
that they're supposed to make to see where Lebron plays?

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Like, get out of my face.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Anyone has a problem with Adam Silver's an idiot, period,
end a story.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
It's not his fault.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
It is Lebron's fault, and that's what's annoying about it.
He's waiting for him. It's not Silver doing the wrong
he's doing the right thing. If he didn't wait, people
will be like, what a ball dropped? He made the
schedule without even knowing where Lebron was playing. Ask yourself,
damned if you do, and if you don't, ask yourself
this for real? Do you really think Lebron still doesn't
know where he's going?

Speaker 2 (38:42):
He knows? What makes you think that? That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
If you're on a dating show or you're choosing between jobs,
yourself or you're trying to figure out have you ever
have you ever done this, Danny? Remember back in your
days when you were trying to decide, like, oh, which
one of these apartments am I going to choose? Like
when you're young guy and you're trying to compare cost
and money, You're like, well there's one betterroom here or
two betterroom here.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
But this has been going on for weeks though, Rich,
So he's got to have a really good idea, if
not already decided.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
He loves attention. He craves attention. That's what this is about.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
He I bet you Lebron James, you know how we
all have our Some people are more self aware than others.
Do you think Lebron James would say honestly like I
don't like attention.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Do you think he do?

Speaker 1 (39:25):
You think he is aware that we all think he
loves attention, because he might very well say, Yo, you
guys got him wrong. You think I want attention, But
I'm just being absum. I mean I don't know, you know, Like,
that's that's does people. Most people, if we're gonna have
to unware, most are unaware, Like I try to be.
Awareness is rare. I mean, I'm very well aware of

(39:47):
all my weird flaws and things that are annoying. A
lot of people don't I at least know why I'm annoying.
Maybe Lebron James is like indecisive like me. He's aware,
he plays the game. People say like me, Bron or this,
and he's Oh, he's selfish or loves attention for all
you know. Imagine sitting down Lebron, He's like, the biggest

(40:08):
misconception about me is that, Uh, I really don't like
attention much at all.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
You don't know Sam, but he's playing the game and
that's why he's dragging it out. But what if what
if that.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Would be like if Sam played an annoying laugh track
every single afternoon evening throughout our show and didn't know.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Yeah, yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
What if Lebron James really isla out loud? What if
it is like, uh that loud? What if he's thinking, oh, man,
I really could go up to the Bay Area. It's
a forty fifty minute flight from my family, I get
to play with Steph. Or could I could go to Philadelphia?
There be waiting for other Philadelphia to fit. It's so

(40:48):
thirsty for a champion. If Philadelphia won with Lebron, he'd
go out a hero. Oh the Knicks though, like they
just won off they don't win again, he'd look like
he brought them down. When I could go back to Miami,
they have honest Now, what if he truly is?

Speaker 3 (41:01):
But so he told Halliburton said he told him backstage
before he came out on the podcast that he knew,
but he didn't want Halliburton to to talk about it. Right,
So Halliburton seems to think the decision is made, but
Lebron's just not going to share it yet.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
If you're not reading between the lines, pretty simple. Adam
Silver is waiting to make the schedule. He can't make
the schedule because he wants to know Lebron's decisions, so
he could put the Lebron games in prime time. Lebron
equals priority, Lebron equals rating, Lebron equals revenue. So he's
playing the business angle of it, like, yeah, I can't,
I can't schedule the games until I know. Can't blame

(41:40):
him for that. It's as simple as that. But I
think the other thing is, man, Lebron is still the
cash cow. He's still the guy. He's still the king,
He's still the priority in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
He's so.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Powerful still in the NBA at this age that they
can't even make the schedule.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Did you say, would you say about him? He's the
what Cash.

Speaker 7 (42:01):
Said?

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Something else? He's the king himself. He's the king man.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
You know, I do believe the same way you stick
up for this eleven year old pimpot his home run,
I'm gonna stick up for Lebron and saying that. I
think there's a chance I didn't. I didn't stick up
for the kid. I think he's obnoxious and I would
be disappointed if my kid did that. What I did
was give you something else to think about. And the
kid is not even playing in his country. People in

(42:27):
Japan play different than we play. People everywhere played different
than we play. So no one even took a second
to think about that problem. You don't have to, like,
I think he's not here. I think Lebron doesn't quite
know yet. I think I think we are. I think
we're Danny, you're rushing him. I'm we're all rushing him

(42:48):
because we want to know. But does he really like
you know what we should get?

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Mark Anthony?

Speaker 3 (42:53):
Were we all rushing Aaron Rodgers. No, we he and
he knew he had a good idea of what he
wanted to do. But he love he craves attention as well,
and he loves having the NFL and their fans by
the wavos. And Lebron's the same way, but with the
NBA's the NBA version of Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Yeah, it's a power move, man. I mean, it's anyone
that makes you wait, period, it's a power move. Some
people are even subconsciously. Some people are more quick on
big decisions. Caven Know's the type of guy that when
he goes to get a new car, he goes to
like eight dealerships, goes online, goes to different cities, goes
around something. I go get a new car, I go
to the dealership. I go way two hours later with

(43:32):
a new car. Some people are quick. Some people need
to think it out more. It's true, Isaac, when you were,
you know, deciding between all those full ride sports scholarships
when you went to college, people don't know he's a
big track.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
And field star, particularly the field.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Though, Isaac, Honestly, do you remember like asking we had
a different question.

Speaker 4 (43:51):
Are you insinuating that I don't purchase new cars often
because You're right.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Isaac, Yeah, why didn't the car thing work for nobody
like think about it even like college, like unless you
were dead set from the time of you were kid, like,
I'm definitely going to UCLA, Like your college decision was
even something you probably thought about for a while, right, Uh.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
To be honest, No, because I had a particular specialty,
so that kind of limited where I wanted to go. However,
in other big decisions, not so much when I was younger,
But now I'm like, look it, unless I limit it
to a maximum of five choices, I'm gonna drive myself insane.
It's like when you have twelve different kinds of loaves

(44:28):
of bread in the supermarket.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Yeah, options confuse you, And I just think Lebron has
a lot of enticing possibilities. That's why I'm saying I'm
not so sure that he immediately was like, But then again,
I'll give you the other side of it. You and
I have always joked that you see a dumb reality
show like The Bachelor, and twenty five good looking women
come out on night one, the guy has already mentally

(44:50):
narrowed down to five. Yeah, and we're also acting like
Lebron has no idea of the landscape of the NBA, like,
oh man, it's so tough. He doesn't know these cities,
he doesn't know the teams, he doesn't know who's running them,
he doesn't know the players he wants to play with.
Nobody knows this better than Lebron, so I believe he
does know.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
What about this?

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Then what if he just he's just waiting for the
perfect time, the perfect announcement. You know, he wants everyone
on the edge of their seat. He wants control of
the league, which he clearly has. Adam Silver's way, yes,
but what about this? What if his wife is like,
your baby, I think you should go play with Steph
up up in the Bay. But my instinct is Philly
is the move. And what if his kid's like, yo, Dad,

(45:28):
you don't want to go all the way to the
East Coast. And what if there's some you didn't think about.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
What if the people close to him, what if Rich
Paul's like, Lebron deals and this and now go to
New York, go to the NICKSON.

Speaker 3 (45:38):
Lebron himself says he's not talking to the teams, He's
letting Rich Paul do it. All, so that means lebron
to me right there, it was like lebron knew right
away it was three or four teams. It's not like
Rich like he had to decide with every single NBA
team besides the Lakers. There were four really good fits
right off the bat. Bachelor is a great example. You

(45:58):
kind of have a really good idea right away.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
It's gonna be his second choice though. We know that.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
You know how we know that Rich Paul because his
first choice was the Knicks. That's what he said, So
no matter where he goes, it's still the second choice.
Because he said, if the Knicks hadn't won this year,
it would have been New York and that was sort.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
Of a nice.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
Now that the Knicks won, it almost feels like you're
going into an opportunity where you might look like the
guy that took a champion and pulled them back a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
Right. What's interesting about that is sources close to him
had come out saying he really wanted to stay with
his family as close to Southern California as possible because
they love it in southern California. So that's why immediately,
even before the season had ended, we talked about Golden
State because it's just a short flight and it seems
like a good fit. Finally getting to play with Steph.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
The Golden Boys.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
Yeah, so New York that I was like, man, you
know that would have made sense maybe a couple seasons ago,
if his family was down to at least live there
part time.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
No, he doesn't fly the way you and I do
on an airline schedule and you know, possibly sitting in
row thirty three B. But Covino and I will be
the first to tell you, especially this guy next to me,
Cavino was going back and forth from New York to
LA with his ex wife and kid when they first
were married.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
That is not something you want to do all the time.
It's a nightmare.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
Like like you might say, like, yeah, but he's used
to traveling. It's lebron every year. But like you know what,
your family in LA and ye're in New York. That's
why Philly or Miami seems a little like Yeah, that's
far man, That's why I feel I've always been leading.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
Golden State makes the most sense.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
It's also just one year, so one year is not
gonna you know, ruin his family. I hope to tell
Tom Brady. Then ah, no, I mean, but it's just
one more year on his contract? No, no, tell what
is one more year're gonna do? I would venture to
say that, And I don't know. I admire Tom Brady's
one of the one of the few people I'm like, man.

(47:56):
Tom Brady's freaking awesome, So I never like to talk
bad about him. But Tom, perhaps he'd still be with
Gizelle if he didn't do that one more year. Maybe
you never know in a relationship where it's like, listen,
I've been really, I've had your back for so long.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
And then just pushed the envolpo little too hard. Well,
you don't know.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
I think he does know. I'm on team Danny G
with that one. Of course, there's always the possibility. Will
we ever get the truth? I don't know, But how
long do you guys think we need to know? And
this is a good question for Ilo because he's so honestly,
Danny G. I'm sorry to cut you off, though you
don't find it extremely interesting. I get it, he's Lebron,
but the whole schedule revolves around him.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
That was my next question to Ilo. Ilo, You've broken
some news right here on our show before when he
does make this announcement, how long will it dominate the
news cycle?

Speaker 4 (48:48):
It honestly depends on when it is and what it is.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
It won't be a news dump, so won't be like
on a Friday evening, right, It's going to be like
at the start of a week.

Speaker 4 (49:01):
We literally thought he was going to do it on
the fourth of July. Then there was a gap in
the World Cup schedule. Now it's going to be at
least after the circus is left town of the World
Cup Circus in a good way, because he wants all
the attention to himself. So I would say next week
at the earliest, and there's not really going to be
a lot on the sporting calendar other than NFL training

(49:21):
camps opening up. So that's sweet sweets, sweet spot, And
how is he going to.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
This would by the way, this would all insinuate that
you guys all believe that he really does love attention.
I mean, yeah, that's that's why they call him me Bron.
It didn't happen by accident.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
And other reasons. Water is wet.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Yeah, something he's done in his career has proven that
miss maybe he's just missus, doesn't make him a bad guy.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
No one's saying he's a bad dude.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Well, Isaac, just say, you know, if you get breaking
news in the middle of our show, the Indicator, just
stand up and start doing the truffle shuffle we need, yeah,
the goonies. Just lift up your shirt and start just
shaking around. Then we'll know it's it's breaking news.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
I should do the hokey pokey, is what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (49:59):
Do Yeah, yeah, a baseball sign, like you know, but
at least Lebron loves attention. But at least he's more
thoughtful than the NFL. He's like, all right, I'll wait
for like a really dead day and then it'll be
all about me. I won't take attention from away from
other sports. You'll be sort of talking about the NFL.
It's the dol drums of summer, and then we'll be
Lebron watched twenty twenty six is over?

Speaker 2 (50:20):
You know what late July?

Speaker 1 (50:22):
Based on the news cycle, it won't be Sunday. Sunday's
the World Cup, so the final you think next week?
The last two weeks of July are pretty dead. Yeah,
that'll be a good time. Monday, Yeah, I was thinking
like Weday, probably day after World we have to we
have to react to the World Cup on Monday.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
About Tuesday, Lebron, it.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Wasn't a World Cup the last he loves the Tay
Tuesday announcement.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
That's the prediction. He's gonna be right the world, dude.

Speaker 1 (50:50):
The world's gonna be flooded talking about the Odyssey and
the box office and the World Cup on Sunday. So
Monday is also a bad news day for an announcement
like that Tuesday. By the answer, here's the announcement. It's
a video put on social He's biting into a taco
a close frame. The frame widens and Steph Curry's next

(51:12):
to him given like peaces like.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Oh that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Yeah, or I thought he'd been into the taco and
like meat fell out of it and it formed the
word and it formed the logo of the team.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
He needs AI to do that. Yeah, you're like, no way.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
Did you see Tom Brady slapping Logan Paul And it
was Carl Anthony Towns who was like in between them.
Now you could say staged, but he still hit him.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Like you could be like, oh, it's a it's a gimmick,
maybe w WWE or just for you know, social media clicks,
and it's, you know, all fun. But Tom Brady looked
mad and he did slap Logan Paul out again. If
it's fake, it's good, good acting. It's totally fake at
least that's yeah. I'd imagine what we have to think.

(52:08):
But Tom Brady did a good job of faking it.
He looked like he looked mad.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
He was like King Lawler slapping Andy Kaufman on Dave Letterman.
It was like, now more like Will Smith. I think
that was real. Did you ever see the best late
night slap? I was, Sam, this is back in the day.
Are you talking about no, Jerry Lawler slapping Andy Coffman?

Speaker 1 (52:30):
No, no, no, I'm talking about I'm talking about uh
Mark Summers from Double Dare.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Who slapped him again? Filling the blank for me? How
do you bring up a story?

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Not? No, because Burt Reynolds, Bert Reynolds, Burt Reynolds just
is not enjoying Isaac.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
You've ever seen the cliff?

Speaker 4 (52:48):
I vaguely remember it, but I grew up loving Double
Dare and Mark Summers. Why would Burt Reynolds do that?

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Because Mart Reynolds took the physical challenge.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Burt Reynolds, he pulled the nose, He pulled the flag
out of the nose and slide down the Sunday slide.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
No, Mark Summers is getting all silly and fun.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
Burt Reynolds wasn't having it, and like they had like
a physical altercation on the Late night show.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
Yeah, it was wild, it was awkward. Look it up.
All right, let's get into Brainwave. Let's do it.

Speaker 6 (53:15):
Come on, Sam, do Coveno and Rich really share the
same brain? Chatting? Chaddy Ray something, Jode demagure you is
their crew not far behind. We're one. Welcome to Brainwave.
Try to make sense of the brain. It's easy. We
dropped fun, sports, music, and entertainment questions and if you

(53:36):
match with enough of these bosums, you win. I love that.
On the count of three, reveal.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Brainwave one two, three, Yeah, ked.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
In guys, you're on the same wave blank right now,
All right, Happy Friday. The questions in this game are
all subjective. You just need to try and match the
brain of CNR and the crew. It's gonna get our
contestant from the studio lines here. Then I'll explain the rules.

Speaker 2 (54:02):
Quickly.

Speaker 3 (54:03):
The first one through, by the way, thank you for
all the calls coming in. But the first through was
Tom and Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
Hey, Tom, Hey, I'm going back. Tommy. What do you
do for a living there in Nevada?

Speaker 1 (54:14):
I'm in concrete concrete sale account manager. Nice.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
All right, here's how it works. I have five rounds
ready to go.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
Our contestant needs to win two of them to be
the champ walk away with that cn our Summer Grillin
Apron Prize pack. I'm going to ask a question and
give three debatable answers to choose from the six of
us on the show. Here are going to write down
our answers on these dry erase boards for our YouTube channel.
And then on the counter of three, Tom shouts his
answer out, He's got a match with four of the
six of us to get the round or no matter
his answer backdoor cover. If all six of us happen

(54:43):
to match.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Are you ready?

Speaker 6 (54:45):
Locked in?

Speaker 2 (54:48):
Alright? Get your boards ready?

Speaker 1 (54:49):
All right?

Speaker 2 (54:49):
Round one. Let's start with Animal Thunderdog, who sounded like
a sound like a monkey back then, speaking of Animal
thunder behind you.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Sig Freed and Roy coming over for visitors.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Let's give me those uncle, Which beast running towards you
would scare you more A bison, a rhino, or a hippo.
Which beast running towards you would scare you more a
bison obviously topical, a rhino or a hippo.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
All right, we're all writing our answers. Now what Okay,
everybody locked in? I'm locked Let's go. Who do you guys?
All right? Tom on the counter? Three one two three,
says Bison Steve Covino. We start with you.

Speaker 1 (55:36):
Well, we saw what happens. You get flown and flung
into the air, but you survive. A hippo you might
not survive. They have to show this BikeE in the wild.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Kingdom, Rich Davis. You guys, ever see the movie Along
Came Polly?

Speaker 4 (55:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (55:49):
Do you remember the Do you know the story of
the hippopotmos? Yo the hippo? You ever see someone throw
a hippo a watermelon at the zoo? That yo? A hippo?

Speaker 6 (56:00):
You up.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
They're faster than people realize. All right, Emmy joins us
in studio for this. What say you, I've got a rhino?
I don't want to say h Yeah, you don't want
to human is right? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (56:15):
I'm surprised at y'all. I'm going with Mike Bison.

Speaker 3 (56:19):
Oh okay, Unfortunately he's mathematically out of it. I said, hippo.
I agree with C n R. Yeah, hippos are some
mean mother efforts. And what did you say, Sam? You know,
hippo might be faster. But I did go with the
topical animal, a bison. My little doodle there, prisoner of
the moment. It looks like a unicorn without a head.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
I did five seconds. Okay, it's wild to see the
strength of the bison when you see it.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
You know, hippo are terrifying as well. Yeah, all right,
we go to round.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
Two that they were they were They picked the bison
because of just the recent memory.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
There we go.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
The rest of it was a hip a violation.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
Round two, Round two of sports and this is topical.
We were just talking about one of these dudes. Who
gives you, as a sports fan more fatigue? Aaron Rodgers,
Lebron James or Dion Sanders gives you, as a sports
fan more fatigue a rod Lebron or Dion locks.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
All right, we're all right in our answers. Hold on now,
hold on, everybody locked in not quite you writing a.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
Riddle over there, Uh kind of a pun. Actually you're
trying to drop a pictures tom. We need your answer
in the count of three, one, two, three.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
Well, I gotta go Aaron Rodgers because you had a
clock on.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Him, says Aaron Rodgers. We go in reverse order. Iowa, Samuel,
I'm a Packer fan. He won the Packers of Super Bowl,
so I went with exhausting James.

Speaker 2 (57:55):
Exhausting.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
Very close between Rogers and Lebron, I said, Lebron, all right, Ilo.

Speaker 4 (58:06):
Rogers, I'm not immune too being bored by him or whatever.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Is all right, Emmy, I've Gotbron, Leams, Rich Davis.

Speaker 6 (58:21):
I wanted to.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
I know, we want to be in the same brainwave.
We talked a lot about Aaron Rodgers. But Lebron James
right now.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
Is exhaust He's exhausting. What would you say?

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Cove, Rich and I are on the same brainwave. We
even wore boxing shirts today. We'reout even discussing it for
no reason. So yeah, we agree. Lebron James just dominates headlines.
So does Aaron Rodgers, but Lebron even more.

Speaker 5 (58:44):
Okay, Lebron's Aaron Rodgers is a close second.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
A close sect.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
It's all right, Tom, we still have rounds three through
five here. Let's go to relationships. What's the biggest sign
your relationship is healthy. You laugh together often, you can
disagree without fighting, or you genuinely enjoy doing nothing together.
One more time. Yeah, the biggest sign your relationship is healthy.
You laugh together often, you can disagree without fighting, or

(59:11):
you genuinely enjoy doing nothing together.

Speaker 4 (59:14):
That didn't contain one of the choices I was anticipating, right.

Speaker 6 (59:20):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
All right now? One more one more time?

Speaker 3 (59:23):
Okay, biggest, biggest sign your relationship is healthy. You laugh
together often, you can disagree without fighting, or you genuinely
enjoy doing nothing together.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
All right, We're all right in our answers. Do I
think you know? If you really think about it, there's
an obvious answer.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
It says you are one of the choices, all right,
everybody locked in, Yes, lock Tom on the count of three,
one two, three, Man, this is a fifty to.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
Fifty uh, just hanging out doing nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
He says, you genuinely enjoy doing nothing together. Steve Covino,
we start with you, Tom. You and I are on
the same brain wave.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Man, There's just no pressure there, you don't no no
pressure to entertain, You're comfortable in each other's presence.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
That spilled it and capital jail white and joy.

Speaker 8 (01:00:18):
Enjoy and joy doing nothing. It's because he hung out
with the FA funds and this emphasis on joy. All right,
Rich Davis, you could you could hang out with someone
and feel no pressure. But that means you can just
be in a boring marriage or relationship. So that's not
the answer.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
What was What was the second one?

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Again? There disagreeing without fighting. The first one laughed together often.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
You can make anyone laugh. You could be in a
relationship with someone laugh a lot but still be terrible
for each other. If you could disagree, be at odds,
but still without it turning into a fight without Yeah, exactly,
disagreeing without turning into big fights is so key.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
That's the obvious one. Cammy, as Jerry Seidefel would say, nothing. Yeah,
do nothings show about.

Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Hi lo laughter. So with my wife and me, what
it's fart and poop jokes about ninety of what we've
talked about, even more since we've had Isaac.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
You said, laughing together. I'm on the same brainwave as
Rich on this one. I said, disagree without it turning
into a fight. Oh man, what'd you say, Sam? He
can't win it though, right, Oh you can't. But because
one of you I said, do nothing. Come on, man,
he's just looking around. All right, It's all right. He's
got to just win the next two rounds here. It's
been done before in this game. All right, round four,

(01:01:35):
dog finish man, just like let's go, let's go to
well known wheels today. David Hasselhoff for End of the
Show turned seventy four in honor of Kit.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
Who'd be a runaway? Answer? Which of these famous TV
vehicles was the coolest?

Speaker 6 (01:01:49):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
Oh? Good? One? Ecto one, Ghostbusters, the eighteen Van or
General Lee.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Dukes of Hazzard one the eighteen Van or General Lee.
All right, now, okay, everybody locked.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Im. It's a tough one of them is automatically out.
It's between ten, all right, your answer on the counter?
Three one two, three? All right, I'm going.

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
Comedy with the Ghostbusters.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
What I thought? No one, we'll find out.

Speaker 6 (01:02:33):
You go ahead, reverse orders.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
By the way, where's Erkle's little miniature car that you
can climbing through to the front? Where's that?

Speaker 6 (01:02:43):
That's what I said?

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
Uh, it was General Lee and what was the other one,
the mister bean car eight.

Speaker 3 (01:02:52):
You know, I went with.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Generally Generally. I picked generally. I felt like the.

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
Eight team could prepare for any battle with that van.
He souped it up for every occasions.

Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
Now it's just really creepy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Look at Isaac shirt. Look at Isaac shirt.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
I'm a fan down for about ten years. I wanted
this to be my license plate when I was growing up.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Ecto one Baby Wow Emmy with General Lee because he's
got hops.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
Yep, Rich Davis generally.

Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
And uh generally man, just some good old boss. How
are you gonna get Daisy Duke go out the general
lead bit?

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Yeah, oh well well no check this out, Tom. Here's
some good news.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
So you don't win outright, But we have a special
door prize that we didn't even talk about earlier on
the show. There's a company called air Tasker and they're
a new sponsor on Covino and Rich and you just
won a five hundred dollars gift card to air Tasker.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Whoa, whoa wait, just sport.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):

Danny j That was a part of it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
That would have been the answer, right. All right, let's
go to ILove for an update. Isaac lower Krown. What's up, Boddy.

Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
It's just basically been a bonker's day everywhere you look.
We will start with the Open Championship Round two. Australian
Lucas Herbert as a two shot lead at eight under
par overall. But the story was Bryson de Shamba penalized
two strokes for quote improving the area of his intended
backswing unquote quote when he stopped on some tall grass

(01:06:02):
in the rough on the fifth hole, meaning he's now
three shots off the lead instead of one shot off
the lead, his agent says to Shambo is considering boycotting
tomorrow's round in protest. The NFL is suspended Arizona Cardinals
director of college scouting Ryan Gold indefinitely for violating the
league's gambling policy. An NFL investigation determined that Gold provided

(01:06:24):
confidential information about the cardinals twenty twenty six draft selections
before they were publicly announced, and also participated in parlay
bets on NFL and college games. The action resumes tomorrow
at five pm Eastern with the third place match between
France and England, then on Sunday at three pm Eastern,
the championship game between Spain and defending champion Argentina. As

(01:06:49):
we speak, they are holding a pre match press conference
in New York City. A few moments ago, holding court
on the stage for some reason was Kevin Heart, who, apparently,
according to a reporter from Front Office Sports Margaret Fleming,
reporting just a short time ago, Kevin Hart said, this

(01:07:10):
is not a traditional press conference. We're not going to
use journalists. Instead, Novak Djokovic, the great tennis player, is
up there right now, asking questions in English and Spanish
and appropriate ending to a truly bizarre day in sports.
Back to you guys, Isa, have a great weekend, man too.
You got Argentina or Spain? You think Messi repeats or

(01:07:32):
you think God I got Spain because my nine year
old hates Messi. He loves Rinaldo. And there will not
be peace in the house unless Spain wins.

Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Oh wow, that's amazing boy. Emmy here wants Argentina obviously.
Let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
They're saying it's gonna be very tough Spain, aren't They Like,
haven't lost the game in what thirty something in a
row or something like that, So I've only allowed one goal.

Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
One goal. There's gonna be a real Spain in Argentina's butt. Yeah,
a Spain in the butt. Hey, I think you got
it for Argentina, right, what do you They both won
in the last sixteen years. I'm like I won in England.
But we'll see. Hey, ma, the best team win. We're excited.

up with weekend hobnob and what to watch in all

our Express pros Pro of the Week. It is Messy
for two weeks in a row man.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Is that a sign of things to come? Maybe a repeat?

England two to one. Last Mint it come back dropping
dimes and he leads his team this weekend against Spain
